Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #69Marvel Spider Man When I was a kid, for some reason, I wasnt interested in superheroes. Batman, Superman, X-Man... To me, all of that was boring. This quickly made me develop a liking for anime, something that stay with me to this day. Although I came to appreciat the darker Batman from newer movies, when I was a kid only one superhero interested, even if not so much like Goku, Agumon or others anime characters from my childhood. When I heard about a highly appreciated Spider Man game, I decided to give it a try when it was on sale for a good price. This happened a few weeks ago, and I ended up playing it. So, let me do my remarks. The gameplay is very good. With a wide array of skill moves and gadgets, you have several ways to beat your opponents. There is not one absolute strategy that you spam throughout the game, you have do use your creativity. Both dont let this deceive you, the game is by no mean hard. When a game doesnt have a difficult specific trophy, I play on normal ("Amazing" in this particular game), unless I know beforehand that the game is easy, like KH III. After the early part, when you have almost nothing, the game has some kind of challenge, but after you get some moves and get more familiar with the controls, the game get to easy. The only challenges are some objectives you need to do in order to 100% each district, something you obviously need to do if you want the platinum. There are two kinds of puzzles, both which I found very interesting. What I didnt like were the stealth parts with other characters. They help in making the game have the feeling of a movie, but to me they mainly disrupted the flow of the game, and I always wanted them to end soon so I could control Spider Man again. Another strong point is the wide variety of optional missions. You can take pictures of famous landmarks, fight thugs, help solve the enviromental problems of New York, be tested on four different kinds of challenges, and other things. Helps in making you feel like a superhero, and if you balance them between the main missions like I did, they wont fell like a chore after you clear the storyline, since there are plenty of things to do. If you just tackle the main story the game will be too short. And makes the map feel important and huge, since you will explore every corner of the city. I dont think anything else is really worth of note. The soundtrack and story are what you could expect of a Spider Man movie. Maybe Spider Man fanboys may appreciate it more, since some characters, that seem to be know, were unknown to me. But it's nothing that impact the experience too much, since you can easly guess what they represent to our spider hero. I also didnt think the graphics were any special. I didnt play on a PS4 Pro, but to me the graphics were just alright. My conclusion is that it is a must have game. If you're a fan of superheroes, or just of Spider Man, you may think it's a masterpiece. If you're not, like me, I think you will probably have a good experience nevertheless. With the abundance of different side objectives the game never felt repetitive or boring to me. Speaking stricly about the platinum, there is not hard. Just play through the game and do everything that appears on the map and you're good. There are a couple of miscellaneous trophy, but nothing you have to grind for hours or play the game in a specific way to achieve. Just chefe a guide beforehand andd you're good.

Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #185 Rise of the Guardians Rise of the Guardians Earn all trophies to unlock this platinum trophy. I loooooooooove the movie, it's my favorite Dreamworks film. And after rewatching it a few weeks ago I decided to see if there was a game because... why not, and there was obviously. This game is weird. It feels unfinished, and I don't mean in that it's super glitchy. I mean, I didn't have any issues with trophies (though .org people said they did). And I didn't really notice much of a problem with framerate or anything either other than one area of Sandy's levels. I didn't encounter many glitches other than being flung into the air and then falling down two times. And the visuals are pretty competent considering the type of gameplay it has. It's basically a dungeon crawler like Diablo, or in licensed comparisons... like X-Men Legends or Marvel Ultimate Alliance, minus the depth. When you start up the game, you got the entire cast as Guardians and you fight with all 5 of them from then on. The AI controls 4 of them for you [it has coop though]. The "story" doesn't even follow the film really, it's so loose that it looks like they had designed the gameplay first and later on had to slap dash the framing and just inserted some random art as 'cutscenes'. Most of which being reused, since you fight Pitch like 5 times and there's only like 2 different intro/outros for it reused the entire time. Most about Christmas, even if you're currently doing the Easter world for example. I say the game is weird and unfinished because beyond the barebones aspect to the story (even the Brave game had more structure and progression), once the very vague "tutorial" level it just dumps you in the game with no direction. I felt lost for a bit before I realized there's just no direction to be get. Pick a level, then go through it until you are forced to fight Pitch. Repeat. You can pick any level at any time and the levels are "linear" in the sense of being stitched together, but you can generally go left or right at the start and then loop around to the beginning again. The lack of progression is just so boring. And my god the combat. It's "fine" at it's core, but the ally AI is so competent that they're overpowered and if you choose a melee character you'll likely be doing not much of anything while the two ranged and two other melee characters murder everything. So you end up sitting on a ranged character while spamming "x" the vast majority of the game. Which isn't fun. I almost fell asleep today while playing and I had only been up 6 hours at the time... If you have ever played a LEGO game, imagine the opposite. Imagine you have a party of 4 AI LEGO peeps for whatever licensed property it is this time. And they slaughter everything before you can do anything with non-ranged characters. They just dart all over the place and pew pew away until it's all dead. That's this game in terms of combat and ally AI. You level up and can assign skill points to increase your various attributes (attack, defence, etc), and you can buy these relic things (forget what the game calls them) and by level 12 you can equip 3 of them at once. I feel like this could have been a pretty solid game, but they were rushed to finish it before being able to finish and they just polished what was there. This is a game that when you hit a car or pole or piece of the environment it will shake. Even if it's not a breakable object. I mean, I have not seen a hell of a lot of licensed games that have that kind of detail in their levels. And, the trees look really nice for what kind of game it is. But Yevon, there's not a lot. There may be a lot of different looking nightmares, but there are about 2 or 3 different gameplay types for them. Not including Pitch. You have to do these stupid defending missions, of which there are 5 per world, and... my god, they are so long and boring. They take over 2 minutes each. And it's bad enough that all there is to do is fight enemies. Not even light puzzle elements. One thing I usually never notice or comment on though... the menu design is really pretty to look at. I noticed it as soon as I saw it the first time. It has a really polished look. Though the controls for navigating the inventory menu took awhile to get used to. It's a shame. If they had started the game off with you playing through as Jack, maybe not exclusively, but slowly adding to your party. Using the different abilities of the party to solve various puzzles it would've been a lot more interesting than just running through what... 5 or 6 environments fighting enemies and picking up a collectable or opening a chest [which beyond getting a trophy and 100% is hardly worth the effort]. And nothing is hidden, since it's all shown on the map itself. Which... is fine, but it would've been nice to have the option not to do that. Maybe with being forced to explore to find things rather than just follow the map to the next battle/collectable to check off it wouldn't have felt so boring. But given the AI making the combat so easy that you can literally do nothing, and the amount of combat... I doubt it. Kinda bummed it wasn't better, because I can see how the developer could have done something with this. Popular Post MakotoKaCun
Platinum # 78 Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings Finally finished this game ! Do really enjoy the game with it funny joke and stuff that it bring to the table. Overall is still the same as the previous game with similar synthesize system. Only how the weapon traits work is difference which you need a core and sub. I still spend some time to farm the best traits and beating the game in very hard. Is very challenging and the feeling when you broke the game is fun I still do like the Atelier game a lot seeing back Firis, sophie & Platcha is good. But too bad this is the end of the mysterious saga. I m really looking forward to play Atelier Lulua still is really rare for a Atelier game to have 4 sequel. Atelier Ryza also looking really good. Hopefully can play them both soon enough. Also being doing a Guide for this game. Anyway hope to finish it soon and work on the previous one too
Popular Post DeathNyx
Assassin's Creed Origins Platinum N°84: Earn Them All! Earn every trophy. Game enjoyment: 8.5 - 9 Trophies enjoyment: 7 - 7.5 Trophies difficulty: 4 - 4.5 Comment: At first i was expecting another average AC game but i was wrong, this RPG style mixed with AC elements came out really well done and since i've played Dragon Age Inquisition i recognized some similarities. Setting, graphic and landscapes are simply amazing, i'm also glad to see Ancient Romans in the game. Overall the game is really easy, i finished it at level 45 when level cap was 40 before DLCs, i played many sidequests and crafted a lot of equipments, in the end this made me too strong for the main story. Last but not least Bayek is now one of my top favorite AC protagonists, i enjoyed his character, surely more than Aya which was kind annoying, at least for me.
Popular Post HotxPot
#4 Wizard of Legend Master of Chaos Collect all trophies. Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time: 15h Good rogue-like with fast paced combo gameplay. The format is pretty simple, you equip a load-out, which is a few spells and a relic, and you try to clear a run consisting of 3 worlds each with a boss, and if you clear those you fight a final boss at the end. It's a little challenging at the start but once you start learning patterns and getting comfortable with spells and combos, runs start getting faster and funner. Trophy-wise, nothing is really difficult, and by the time you end up finishing some of the grindy trophies, you'll either have you're Plat or be pretty close. Game is pretty cheap as well, check it out if you like the rogue-likes.

Popular Post GraniteSnake
#161: Albedo: Eyes From Outer Space I didn't enjoy this game one bit. It consisted of terrible voice acting, a weak plot, sub-par graphics, a confusing control scheme, harsh sound effects, ugly menu's and overly confusing puzzles (which could be skipped, thankfully). Following a text guide made this game somewhat bearable, if even that. By the time I got the platinum I was so tired of playing it that I instead opted to watch the conclusion of the game on YouTube instead. Didn't make much sense to me if I'm honest. Wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. #162: inFamous First Light I had a lot of fun with this entry. The story was short and didn't really expand much on what we already knew from playing Second Son, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I preferred Fetch over Delsin, with her story arc being more interesting to me. The real enjoyment came from the challenge rooms though (more so in the beginning). The goal of hitting 500,000 was easy, but the real excitement came from trying to top my friends list in each of the 5 rooms. It didn't take long to master these, and it wasn't long before I was spamming rockets while continuously moving from one neon light to the next. I racked up a score of over 7,000,000 in Beta Survival, and after that I started to grow tired of the mode so I didn't invest as much time in to the remaining challenges. I now have every inFamous trophy available to date, and I hope to see another addition to the series at some point in the future. #163: Life Is Strange I'm really happy that I decided to give this game a chance as it's ended up being one of the best games I've played, overthrowing The Wolf Among Us as my favourite episodic based title. The main issue I had with the game was the poor character animations (specifically mouth movements when in conversation). Aside from that I pretty much adored everything else, especially the soundtrack. I hope the season pass for the PS3 version goes on sale at some stage as I'd love to explore more of the optional sub-plots as I missed out on quite a bit of content in my original run. Going to wait a bit before playing Before the Storm, but I expect I'll enjoy it when I do get around to playing it. I'll reiterate that this is a fantastic game and one of the best I've played.

Popular Post Conor
#40- GRAND THEFT AUTO: SAN ANDREAS (PS3) The Key to San Andreas Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time Taken: 4 Weeks, 20 Hours, 54 Minutes (35 Hours in-game) Rarity: 1.5% Ultra Rare (PSN) / 25.78% Uncommon (PSNProfiles) Hardest Trophy: A Legitimate Business (Silver)- Export all three car lists "After five years on the east coast, it was time to go home..." Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is one of my absolute favourite games of all time. After roguishly tricking my aunt to get it for me for Christmas at the age of 13, I spent countless hours murdering my way through the three incredible cities and blowing cars up that it wasn't until much later that I got around to completing Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City which I also received that Christmas. It was the newest and the coolest and to this day I love it. But not this version of it. From what I can tell, this was a port of the iOS version. While it would be impressive for an iPod to run this, a home console in this day and age is a whole different story, coming out at the end of the PS3's lifespan. There are some great features; native 720p widescreen without image stretching, different map markers for questgivers above and beyond being just initial letters, mission checkpoints (hit and miss, but more on that in a second) and some of the missions that I remember being a chore now being very, very easy. In all, it is a solid version of the game and if one had never played it before, this isn't a bad way to introduce yourself to the world of San Andreas. However, there was plenty I didn't like as well. For some reason, I didn't like the way CJ controlled. He felt overly sensitive and janky. The driving was also pretty rubbish, with me flipping my cars way too easily. The pop-in which was a pretty big flaw of the PS2 original is even worse here. It even extends to how NPCs and cars on the road spawn- you could be driving at top speed as is your wont when playing this when all of a sudden three or more cars will suddenly spawn in a few feet ahead and cause a huge pile-up. They'll also just swap sides of the road without warning. Overall, the AI is pretty pathetic with your companion characters often just running about wherever the hell they want- I had three mission failures simply because my companion just ran off in the opposite direction of where they were supposed to go and got too far away. Cops also very rarely noticed my crimes, shooting a guy right beside two police motorcycles and not suffering any consequences. As for the mission checkpoints, I found them inconsistent- on short missions it would give me a checkpoint after a cutscene but wouldn't do the same for longer missions, instead sending all the way back to the beginning when I failed. Yes, it was better than having to go all the way to the quest giver myself but still annoying when it didn't work as I expected that it would! Otherwise, the game is just as before but the faults sort of soured my experience. The trophies are also a bit buggy, with some not unlocking until a good few minutes after I completed the requirements. The list itself isn't too taxing at all but does require a bit of going off the beaten track every now and then, but not nearly as much as the lists for the other titles in the series. Overall, I was a bit disappointed but I look forward to the PS4 version which is a port of the PS2 game and hopefully a little more faithful to my memories of the game I love so much. Popular Post Caldor2K2
#117 - Dragon Quest Builders 2 I really enjoyed the first game when it came out, even though it usually isn't the type of game I usually play, so I was totally hyped when they announced the sequel was coming West. If you've not heard of this spin off of the Dragon Quest series, it's basically a building game similar to Minecraft in a Dragon Quest setting. The idea behind the story is that your character is a builder who finds him/herself in a ruined world where building things has been forbidden. Working together with various people throughout the game, they eventually come to realize that they have been mislead about building and decide to help out. Personally, I didn't really care for the story in this game as much as the first one. Part of the problem lies with the fact that the game takes place in a Dragon Quest 2 setting, which had a much larger world than its predecessor and probably couldn't include every single town in it. With that being said, you can enjoy the game without Dragon Quest 2 knowledge, where as Dragon Quest Builders I felt you needed to have full knowledge of Dragon Quest to really understand what was happening. Generally speaking, the gameplay remains untouched. A few game mechanics both good and bad were tweaked or added/removed. A good example is that your weapon and hammer are now two separate tools, and use two different buttons rather than having to swap them out. Your weapons and armor also never wear out so you don't need to worry about crafting replacements as needed. A bad example is that certain buildings no longer have passive effects to the player. Thus having a kitchen built will no longer stop your character from getting hungry. However, certain NPCs will cook food for you to eat so this shouldn't be a problem. The free building area has been improved quite a bit. During certain parts of the game you are on an island, and you can build to your heart's content, or at least until you hit the 100 room limit. ☹️ The good part here compared to the first game is that you get to keep all your materials and items from earlier in the game, and not be forced to build a new area from scratch. After you complete the game, you are allotted another island to free build on as well. Visiting certain other islands during the game and finding all the materials there, think scavenger hunt will yield certain unlimited materials for building things. I had lots of fun with the game, sometimes spending hours just trying to make my area look good rather than worrying about finishing the game first. For being made of nothing but square blocks, some of the areas were quite impressive. You should really give this game a shot if you enjoy sandbox type games or even just the Dragon Quest series in general.

Popular Post Bahraini_carguy
10th Platinum: Grand Theft Auto IV Enjoyment: 7 Difficulty: 8 I enjoyed playing through the game countless times so I may have some biased opinions but some of the trophies required to earn is a bit of a pain for me to get. Things like doing all the 200 flying rats, Stunt Jumps and getting 100% score on all TBOGT DLC Missions. The worst of all was the multiplayer mode with the grind for reaching level 10 ranking and the glitchy AWP trophy that requires the player to win all the modes including all 100+ races. Despite all that, I'm happy with getting platinum on this game.
