Being a rainy day seems like a good time to clean up the backlog.
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Remastered
Earn all Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception™ Remastered Trophies
Ah man, I think I love this game even more now than I did back when I first played it. It can be annoying at times in how it handles melee, and just how much is forced on you. Though I actually grasp it better now... I had a lot of glitches and weird animations happen on me in this version that I don't remember in the original. Like after having set my PS4 into rest mode and resuming the game all the dialog in cutscenes was mute, but nothing else was. So I had to turn off my PS4 and fix it that way. :/ Feels like this port got the least amount of polish; though it's been awhile since I've played the other two remasters, but I don't recall quite as many things.
The weirdest glitch was while swimming around trying to get the trophy for killing enemies while swimming, I somehow ended up stuck in a ship. I wasn't even near the ship yet it teleported me into the floor you would otherwise walk on and I had to restart my checkpoint to fix it.
I don't have a whole lot more to say about it other than I love it. Great music, great characters, awesome set pieces. I think Marlow is one of the most interesting villains in the series. I know some people harp on there being too many and the amount of running sections, but I think it all works as a whole package. And none of the puzzles are as annoying as U2. Though I remember when I first played it on PS3 I didn't know you could spin the globe with the right stick to rotate that puzzle and that problem resurfaced again since it's been so long since I played. lol
I just wish U4 didn't retcon stuff, because Marlow literally details Nate's life and no mention of a brother in doing so... they couldn't have done literally anything else? It's just frustrating that you play a game you love and you have to be reminded of one you don't and the multitude of reasons why... I don't want to think about U4's dumb story and plothole creation when I play U3. I digress.
(Ultra Rare #18)
Earn every trophy in the game.
#126 and 100% Borderlands the Presequel
It was about time I finished this game as I've had it installed for a while now. I also got to experience the game with the new 4k textures and HDR update and it looked noticeably better but the textures now take longer to load just like the ps3 borderlands did which wasn't that bad.
As for the game itself, it's pretty much BL2 in space with the addition of boost jump and oxygen kit. That's not to say it's a bad thing but idk I wanted more. It wasn't a bad game at all though and the characters were fun to play as. I used claptrap to get to level 50 and I really loved his unpredictability in terms of his action skill. Whenever I landed pirate ship or gun wizard it felt like you hit a jackpot :).
And shoutout to @DamagingRob for being my co-op buddy in the game. Had a blast :).
Onto spiderman ps4 next or fist of the North Star! We'll see!

Platinum #147 - Super Neptunia RPG
Not much to say about this one. The Japanese voice acting was excellent as always, which made the cutscenes enjoyable to watch, but other than that it's a very mediocre JRPG. I'm a fan of the Neptunia series and platinumed every game, but this is probably the one I enjoyed the least so far. Probably 5/10 or 6/10 at best.
#410- Goodbye Deponia
You unlocked all other trophies.
This is a series of point and click games that are very much worth playing. Interesting story and funny characters.
A Plague Tale: Innocence
I LOVED this game it was so hard to put down, I was actually surprised with how brutal it could be it's definitely M rated for a reason. The story is touching in showing the relationship between the siblings which is a beautiful and much-needed contrast to the grim and horrible world they are stuck in ravaged by plague and madness.
The game is beautiful in the traditional sense the forests of France have beautiful colors to them and there's this grotesque beauty like you want to look away but you just can't. In horror, I am not a fan of excessive gore without substance (the Saw series, etc.) but for me, the gore never felt like it went to excessive, is there a lot? yes definitely but it feels right and appropriate for what was going on, people did a lot of messed up stuff back in the old days.
The concept of playing as kids going through this is also really well done in the gameplay it felt tense in the best way being limited in ways of combat with just a sling the stealth is vital and felt good to play through, and when you get further in the story and expand on your combat it feels well earned after all the literal hell these kids have been through. I really encourage anyone to play this, unless you have a rat phobia.
Horizon Zero Dawn
All Trophies Obtained
This trophy was milestone 8000 for me. What an amazing game!
Gotta love taking out advanced metal behemoths with stone age weapons.
#157: Be Greater - Spider-Man
I'm not really into superhero stuff like I used to (especially Marvel for reasons I won't really get into here) but I went into this with an open mind and I wound up liking the story to this one. It felt like the people making it actually did like and cared about the source material they were working with and didn't want to just make a non-stop quip-fest with as much "How do you fellow kids?" style humor as possible. There was some of that but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. Probably the worst of it was Screwball, and with the exception of the DLC she wasn't around as much thankfully. However her having a role in the DLC was pretty annoying. But the main story overshadows that thankfully, and I felt like the tone was consistent. The ending kind of hit me, and perhaps hit too close to home.
Gameplay-wise swinging around the city was fun and for the most part felt tight except for certain sequences where I would wind up being stuck to a building when I don't mean to making chase sequences harder than they needed to be. Combat felt like the Arkham games which I liked although I feel like it really would have benefited from a lock-on since there were times where I wanted to focus on a specific enemy but I kept switching to another or accidentally wasting a focus meter on them when I meant to go after a Brute or something. Overall though I feel like Insomniac did pretty good.
Albedo: Eyes From Outer Space
Easy plat took a little over a hour game was not all fun a little janky
#62 Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight
Dancing in Moonlight Obtained all trophies.
Always been a big fan of Persona 3 and it's cast so along with enjoying P4 Dancing All Night I was always going to have a great time playing this. it was also a very enjoyable platinum to work towards and unlock.
Platinum # 101
First platinum in over a year
#32 - Horizon Zero Dawn
"All trophies obtained"
I finally got around to playing this great game after owning it for a year-and-a-half. I loved the gameplay, but the story is what really shined for me. I was fully vested and interested in how the story would play out, leaning forward in my seat for every cutscene.
Overall an outstanding game. If I'm going to make some minor nitpicks, they would be:
Now that I'm done with my negligible complaints, you should definitely play this game.
#397 - Transistor
Another one to add to my favourite games list. Was great fun experimenting with all the different builds. The performance tests are a bit down to luck when it comes to the skills offered to you, which can make it a bit of a pain. Even though there's at least 2 playthroughs to complete for the plat, it's short enough that it doesn't get boring.
#157 | Remnant: From the Ashes
Enjoyment = 8/10
Difficulty = 5/10
Highly recommend this game.

Platinum #70Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey
The first Atelier story that I played was Sophie and her mysterious book. I expected a cute and relaxing experience, something similar to slice of life anime, and it was what I found. But there was more to it than just cuteness. I found myself speding many hours gathering materials for synthesis, messing around trying to find new recipes, mixing and trying to find new traits through trial and error, and eagerly expecting another character event each time I was on my atelier. Although the combat is not the main point of the game, it's system was very interesting and satisfying, and each time I had to engage in it, it was a good experience.
Now 2 years later, after having fully experienced the Arland Plus series on Vita, I decided to play Atelier Firis. The experience is really similar to Atelier Sophie, so if you played it and liked, you will also like this game. The only difference is that, for some part of the platinum journey, you will have to deal with a time limit. Even if it looks daunting at first, since you only have 365 days and the way the ingame clock works makes it looks even harder to manage your time, you have plenty of time. I took my time gathering materials, exploring the map, doing quests and I reached the point of no return with way more than 100 days. Maybe it's because I'm already a somewhat seasoned Atelier player, but I dont think first-timers will have a hard time.
The graphics are average, the soundtrack is amazing, the voice acting (japanese, specially Firis) is amazing, and the areas are what you would expect from a classic RPG world: there are forests, plains, mountains, dry areas, snow areas. The way your Atelier works makes you really feel on a journey, contrary to others Atelier games where you explore the world, but always returning to the same town, which creates a feeling of going back to home. The independence you have on shopkeepers and blacksmiths is also a refreshing experience.
About the trophies, it's a really easy platinum. There is only one missable trophy, and it doesnt even require extensive management or playing the game a specific way. You can tackle the remaining trophies the way you see fit, and I highly recommend you dont rush things and just enjoy this cute, relaxing experience. And you dont need to expend near to a hundred hours to get the trophy.
If you look for a RPG that is cute, relaxing, where the combat is not the main point, but the unique and charming synthesis system, where the story dont revolve around saving the world, but around a girl, her sister, her dreams and her friends, I highly recommend this game for you. And if you like it, you should play the Arland and Dusk series too.
1 and 2 were great games but the 3 for me its a miss of the year i just hate the day when i started
Gnasty's Demise Collect all Spyro the Dragon Trophies
Plat # 156: Conan Exiles
"Played" this old PS+ game for BeyondtheGrave's Trophy Hunting Event on Sept 28th because, well, it was quick to get the trophies. I'm not sure what the developers were thinking with keeping the admin panel on a game (or at the very least in plain sight in the options menu.) I honestly can't give an opinion on the game because I took the cheap way out. Maybe it's a good game? But who knows...
Also thanks to @MandA60VISE for stepping into my game so I can get the Tower of the Elephant trophy.
