Popular Post ZitMeatloaf
#32 - Horizon Zero Dawn "All trophies obtained" I finally got around to playing this great game after owning it for a year-and-a-half. I loved the gameplay, but the story is what really shined for me. I was fully vested and interested in how the story would play out, leaning forward in my seat for every cutscene. Overall an outstanding game. If I'm going to make some minor nitpicks, they would be: Facial animations - at times the facial animations just didn't sync up with the dialog at all. Not just in a "close but not quite" kind of way, but in a "wow they REALLY didn't get that one right" kind of way. Voice acting - Aloy and Sylens were outstanding. The supporting characters were mostly fine and often good, although Erend had a couple cringey moments. But several of the minor characters sounded laughable, like they had exhausted their funding for voice acting and just stuck Bob from the development team into the recording booth for a few lines. Trophy names - Very picky complaint here, but the trophy names are all pretty boring. "You did this thing 5 times." "You completed this story mission." "You found a collectable." Just not very interesting trophy names. Now that I'm done with my negligible complaints, you should definitely play this game. Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#397 - Transistor Another one to add to my favourite games list. Was great fun experimenting with all the different builds. The performance tests are a bit down to luck when it comes to the skills offered to you, which can make it a bit of a pain. Even though there's at least 2 playthroughs to complete for the plat, it's short enough that it doesn't get boring. Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #70Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey The first Atelier story that I played was Sophie and her mysterious book. I expected a cute and relaxing experience, something similar to slice of life anime, and it was what I found. But there was more to it than just cuteness. I found myself speding many hours gathering materials for synthesis, messing around trying to find new recipes, mixing and trying to find new traits through trial and error, and eagerly expecting another character event each time I was on my atelier. Although the combat is not the main point of the game, it's system was very interesting and satisfying, and each time I had to engage in it, it was a good experience. Now 2 years later, after having fully experienced the Arland Plus series on Vita, I decided to play Atelier Firis. The experience is really similar to Atelier Sophie, so if you played it and liked, you will also like this game. The only difference is that, for some part of the platinum journey, you will have to deal with a time limit. Even if it looks daunting at first, since you only have 365 days and the way the ingame clock works makes it looks even harder to manage your time, you have plenty of time. I took my time gathering materials, exploring the map, doing quests and I reached the point of no return with way more than 100 days. Maybe it's because I'm already a somewhat seasoned Atelier player, but I dont think first-timers will have a hard time. The graphics are average, the soundtrack is amazing, the voice acting (japanese, specially Firis) is amazing, and the areas are what you would expect from a classic RPG world: there are forests, plains, mountains, dry areas, snow areas. The way your Atelier works makes you really feel on a journey, contrary to others Atelier games where you explore the world, but always returning to the same town, which creates a feeling of going back to home. The independence you have on shopkeepers and blacksmiths is also a refreshing experience. About the trophies, it's a really easy platinum. There is only one missable trophy, and it doesnt even require extensive management or playing the game a specific way. You can tackle the remaining trophies the way you see fit, and I highly recommend you dont rush things and just enjoy this cute, relaxing experience. And you dont need to expend near to a hundred hours to get the trophy. If you look for a RPG that is cute, relaxing, where the combat is not the main point, but the unique and charming synthesis system, where the story dont revolve around saving the world, but around a girl, her sister, her dreams and her friends, I highly recommend this game for you. And if you like it, you should play the Arland and Dusk series too.

I'm not sure what the developers were thinking with keeping the admin panel on a game (or at the very least in plain sight in the options menu.) I honestly can't give an opinion on the game because I took the cheap way out. Maybe it's a good game? But who knows... Also thanks to @MandA60VISE for stepping into my game so I can get the Tower of the Elephant trophy.

Popular Post Pershing24
HERE IT IS! #50 Platinum Columbia Bioshock Infinite Wow, I can't believe it, already at 50 platinum, and how fitting that it goes to one of my favorite game of all time and one of my first PS3 game. Bioshock is a great series in general, but Infinite is the one that blew my mind when it came out, even more than the first game. With its solid game-play, great characters, fantastic setting and engaging story, it makes this game an enjoyable experience and a worthy contender as one of the greatest game ever made. I do recommended this game to everyone even if you haven't played the previous titles, beside I find its lost alot of its RPG elements from the first game so it does make the game-play simpler and straight forward. As for the platinum I had to play the whole campaign twice to get all the collectibles, specific and any missable trophies, but it wasn't an issue. I've haven't played it since 2014, but I was very familiar with Bioshock's game-play and I had no difficultly with 1999 mode, especially as you progress through the game and get more upgrades. The only parts that were challenging was the siren boss fight and the final battle, but just make sure you save your money so that you can afford the re-spawn cost (100$ per life). I might go back to get the DLC done, as the burial at sea is very good, and the clash of the cloud has some great additional content. Its just those blue ribbons that can be frustration as you got to get all of them and some are quite challenging. It too back that Ken Levine has retire from gaming as it was too stressful, understandable but we may never get another true Bioshock game. But at least there's the remastered. "There’s a fine line between a martyr and a fool." - Rosalind Lutece #51 Determined Terminator Salvation From one of the best platinum I have, to one of the worst. Terminator Salvation is truly something to behold as the game is so generic, so mediocre, so predictable, that its not even funny, its ....extraordinary. To give you an idea of how basic it is, there are only 5 weapons and 7 enemy types in the entire games, 3 of them are only seen in scripted moments. I knew this game was quick and easy as it is often mentions on easiest platinum list, but frankly I expected more. Aside from the 4-6 hours campaign, the only other additional content is a local co-op campaign, but only 2 players. Movie tie-in game are notoriously bad, but Terminator Salvation is so straight forward that you'll have no difficulty on beating this game, even on the hardens difficulty. I sort of regrets having this game, but I did wanted to try it, and it only cost me 5 bucks. #52 Be Greater Marvel's Spider-Man Meanwhile.... back on the PS4, Spider-Man has gotten his 52 platinum and it was spectacular. Playing this game gave me the same enthusiasm as when I played the old PS1 game of spider-man from 2000's, which I played the PC port of it. Spider-man was one of my favorite heroes from Marvel comics, and thou I've read only a few of his comics, I did enjoyed the animated series of the 90's and the Sam Raimi trilogy (well except the 3rd movie). It has alot of content and easter eggs to those media and I do love when games do this. Plus this game has a great and original story, solid game-play and great combat. Yeah it might have taken some idea's from the Batman Arkham series, but I am not going to debate which it better. The platinum is surprisingly alot easier than I expected as there are no missable trophies and just some grinding to do, fortunately this is not a RPG so its quite easy to level up. Definitely a must play, especially if you're into super heroes. After all; "with great responsibility comes.... alot of dead friends and family members". Popular Post EcoShifter
Sustain Forest Love Iron out all the trophies. Not going to go in-depth here at all, despite the... special nature.... of this game, out of laziness and will instead leave the informing up to the quotes below. Fe is the first game made under "EA Originals", a program meant to support indie developers and create innovative indie games. Very similar to games like Journey and Abzu but with the "metroidvania" element, open-world design, and emphasis on platforming and even moreso on exploration. Game actually takes direct inspiration from the former, Shadow of the Colossus, Metroid, and Zelda. Sequel, please. Quote "Fe is an action-adventure game in which the player controls Fe, a fox-like creature within a forest that is highly responsive to the songs of the creatures and plants within it. The forest creatures are being attacked by entities called the Silent Ones for unknown reasons that threaten the forest's wildlife. Fe is able to sing to other creatures and objects to gain their help. These creatures can teach Fe a new song which gives the fox additional abilities through the forest, such as activating a flower that acts as a jump-pad to launch Fe to higher locations and explore more of the world. The game has been noted to have minimal instructions, requiring the player to experiment and to perceive the forest's ecosystem to determine how to progress, instead of a set of objectives," much in the same vein to the hands-off approach in gameplay as Journey and Shadow of the Colossus. Quote "EA Originals is about three things:First, it is about taking first-time experiences that are unique, gorgeous, innovative and memorable, and bringing them to the world.Second, it is about supporting small developers and helping them make the most of their games. We'll seek a few projects each year for EA Originals, and partner with them throughout the process of development to marketing to publishing.Lastly, it is about funding, and offering small studios a level of security with an EA Originals game. Making games is hard. It's a hard business. These developers have taken on the risk of developing a new IP, and great games deserve to be played. So with EA Originals, we want the profits from these games to go into the hands of the studios making them. We want them to be recognized for their work, so they can keep innovating and creating, and so the players get to play more and more amazing games. The first game coming from EA Originals is definitively innovative and memorable. It's called Fe, and it's developed by a small studio in Gothenburg called Zoink. At its heart, Fe is a personal narrative about our relationship with nature, the land, and its beings. It’s a wordless celebration of our longing to be one with world around us. It’s a story that reminds us that everything in this world is connected, living in a delicate balance that is constantly under threat. It's a game full of discovery, conflict, and relationships." Popular Post madbuk
#334 - Gran Turismo 5 It is finally over. I'm finally free. I have invested hundreds of hours into this plat, and it is by far the longest and hardest I've ever done. There were many points during this game where I was ready to give up. The licenses and the special events - especially AMG - did their best to try and break my spirit. Thankfully, there was a group of people on Discord who continued to pester encourage me, no matter how much I faltered. I'd like to thank Fear for setting up that support system and giving me my own channel to vent in/post progress/get encouragement, everyone who participated, and also @Sergen for his advice - especially for Eiger. His settings made that event so much easier than the settings I was using beforehand. I admit to using the Vettel glitch to make those 3 events easier. Not exactly my proudest moment, but the rest of this plat was hell enough for me and I just wanted it over honestly. To try and atone for this, I did do the A-Spec level 40 grind legit (play 52-60 hours of the hardest track in the game) whereas I could've glitched it as well and had a much, much easier time (would've still taken just as long though.) Outside of Vettel, the AMG events were by far the hardest for me, as every event is on the Nurburgring, which, depending on the car you use, is a 7-10 minute track and while on some events you have a couple of seconds of leeway, there was one 7 minute event that felt like it required absolute perfection. That one took me a long time, made the Beat Zico trophy that took me 500+ laps in WipEout HD look like a walk in the park. With this game done, every game I played before trophy hunting is now complete. Feels good to finally clean up that part of the backlog at least, even if there are still loads of other games to do since becoming a trophy hunter. For many years I have looked at this game as one of the impossibilities on my list barring me from a 100% completion. I still have plenty of those remaining (Stealth Inc and Binding of Isaac immediately come to mind) but this has given me some hope at least.
Popular Post Spinosaurus Rex
PLATINUM #131 - ASSASSIN'S CREED ODYSSEY Difficulty: 3/10 | Platinum enjoyment: 8/10 | Game enjoyment: 9/10 | Plat rarity: 31.07% Great game with very addictive gameplay and simple, yet interesting storyline. Also my first Assassin's Creed game, I've borrowed it from a friend to check what's so hot about it and now I have a copy on my own. My favourite aspect of the game was fight system, very engaging and amusing at the same time (kicking soldiers from the roof with Sparta Kick, anyone?). Although I'm bad in stealth section in most games (lack of patience), here it was very fluent and easy to execute, so it was equally fun as a melee open fight. Platinum is very casual and possible to achieve by anybody just by playing on any difficulty and uncovering big part of game's content, which is sad because game is so fun to play I wouldn't mind another playthrough with second character on highest difficulty. But there are Additional Feats and six episodes of additional story which are on sale now to keep you occupied. I have a few complaints about the game, a bit tedious underwater locations to discover (sharks, ugh...), annoying mercenaries (good concept, but why you have to fight 2-3 of these simultanously when you just want to do story mission?) and unsatysfying character development (you must make quite a few choices where neither option is good nor bad, but I wasn't torn between them. And why can't you have Spoiler Deimos and Myrrine as a side-kick characters instead of being just a plain model on your ship?), but it doesn't matter in comparison to enormous amount of fun game provides. Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#253: Prince of Persia One of my absolute favorite games, it's as fun now as it was when I first played it all those years ago when it came out. The set-pieces, the story, the characters, the platforming, the setting, the aesthetic, the atmosphere, everything was was so lovingly crafted and executed, that's no mystery what it caught on and became a best-seller, and being in a group of - sequels, spin-offs, pre-sequels and reboots - is still the most fondly remembered today. This to me, is parkour gameplay at it's best. The time put into making the Prince feel like he has weight, and has to fight against gravity, but still manage to pull off these impressive stunts, is amazing. It's always satisfying to chain together all these acrobatic moves. It's also alot more fun to watch as opposed to a game like, say, Ninja Gaiden 2, where the ease doing all these moves for some reason makes it look less impressive. It does have one bad spot, and that's the sucky combat. But it's a very unique kind of suck; one where thought and effort was put into it, but in hindsight really shouldn't have been. The combat goes a dynamic cinematic feel, for better and worse. The prince has many well-animated flashy moves, but that also means that nearly all of his moves have a wind-up which leave you open. Multiple enemies can and will hound you at every moment, never letting up thanks to their flash-step move that insures they will always be right on you. The methods in dealing with them varies, encouraging you to learn every move available. But because the game doesn't believe in letting the player breathe for a moment, your intended move can often hit the wrong target, leaving you wide open for anthers' attack. The amount of damage you can take seems entirely random; sometimes taking 5% off your life, other times the same move taking nearly half of it. It also feels like the devs were so certain that gamers would love the combat, because the enemies won't. Stop. Coming! Every single battle is almost an endurance test, a nonstop wave of sand goons breathing down your neck. And these are the passive aggressive types; they stand there for doing nothing but blocking your moves, until you get hit with a cheap shot (that you couldn't see thanks to the unhelpful camera), after which they will wail on you while you are down, because this game has the dumb mechanic of having to manually get up. I'm not kidding when I say every fight had me complaining "oh my god, enough already!!" But STILL, despite all that, I'm glad I played it again. Combat aside, everything else was just fun to revisit again. Because so, I ended up wondering why Ubisoft was sitting on PoP, you know, outside of it not being Assassin's Creed. But then I think, they trilogy is done, maybe it's for the best. It seems like they themselves have no idea what to do with the series, seeing as to how the 2008 reboot managed to have 2 cliffhangers in the same game, so maybe this should be left alone. lucky0ne16
my most recent one was Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011. One of the worst plats i could do simply due to the 7-minute survival bs in night fang, its incredible lucky based to a point where u need to be lucky to get past sections without dying. and another thing that got boring is doing the differents paths in Turks. i believe it was a total of 12 different paths you needed to take and i was super lame, differently a 6 out of 10 mainly because of I will survival trophy which is make or break the plat.
