Popular Post IceSoul21
Jak II Done Done Done For excellent and dedicated field work in the field of battle for completion Enjoyment: I think I'll give it an 7.5/10 Difficulty: 8 Rarity: Rare (18.40 here on PSNProfiles) Plot: Some time after the events of The Precursor Legacy (the prequel to Jak II), Jak, Daxter, and Samos are invited by Keira, Samos' daughter and Jak's romantic interest, to help her test the artifact recovered from the Acheron Citadel at the end of the last game: the Rift Rider, which utilizes the Rift Gate. When activated, the Rider opens a portal that reveals a strange creature, and they get sucked in. The group is separated and Jak and Daxter land in Haven City, a distopic city ruled by the tyrannical Baron Praxis. The Krimzon Guard, a paramilitary force led by Praxis' right-hand man Errol, arrest Jak and chase Daxter away. For the next two years, Jak is subjected to a series of experiments that involve infusing his body with Dark Eco in Praxis's attempt to create a mutant soldier. Jak is found by Daxter and is released, now Jak has to the help people who oppose Praxis as well as to work for people whose business are not the most "well intentioned" ones so he can get revenge on Praxis and uncover a truth. So, when I was younger, I played Jak & Daxter The Precursor Legacy, Jak 3 (really liked these 2) & a little of Jak & Daxter The Lost Frontier, but didn't play Jak II. I do own a copy for the PS2, but never finished it (and IDK if it still works), so, once I saw the HD Collection years ago, I decided to buy it and replay the 1st game, play & finish the 2nd one and replay the 3rd one. The gameplay still has some of the mechanics from the prequel, but the main difference is the fact that Jak (and Daxter when you're driving) wield guns. You only have 1 gun (if I'm not mistaken) but as you progress you get items that change the way the gun works. Another thing that's different is that, once you get enough Dark Eco, Jak can turn into Dark Jak, a more darker, violent, powerful version of himself. Items such as Precursor Orbs are still present in the game. You can find some lying around, or earn them from completing challenges or by doing a glitch Now, when it comes to getting the Orbs, I was gonna do it legit, but after I missed the ones in the Metal Head Nest, I thought "well, I'll use the glitch to get the ones I didn't get there", but after seeing how fast it was getting the Orbs that way, I, well...decided to use the glitch to go from the amount I had (I think close to 145 Orbs) until close to the required number. However, when I was close to 286, I went ahead and did some more challenges, so I guess you could say I did the trophy both legitimate and illegitimate? ? Another thing you can collect are the Metal Head Skull Gems, and you need 510 in order to get a couple trophies relating to it. Good thing is that these Collectibles weren't hard to get or anything. I got the required ammount after defeating a few Metal Heads in the last part of the game Now, what did I think about the game? I really liked it, but I'll quote Jirard (AKA The Completionist) and say that "this game kicked my butt in ways I didn't expect". OMG, certain missions were a pain, and not because the missions were that hard 8and some were, at least IMO), but because of the checkpoints. In some missions, you've to start from the beginning even if you're close to finishing it if you die, but I still think Jak II is a really good game. I'll probably play other games and then I'll play Jak 3.
Popular Post freddie1989
#148 - Watch Dogs (PS4) What a ride!! Absolutyely loved this, a great game all around. The story was superb and so original. Even the DLC was really good as well. I didn't quite get why after the 100+ side missions on the base game they went with the same lineup on the DLC but hey ho, it is a tiny gripe in a truly brilliant game. Next up is Far Cry 5!!
Popular Post StraightVege
PlatnumGet all the trophies #205 - The Long Reach As a big fan of Lone Survivor and Claire, I needed something to scratch the itch for a great 2D horror title, but The Long Reach falls well short of those games. It's fairly typical indie horror/adventure fare: some vague, unethical science experiment has gone wrong (of course), forcing the participants to experience shared waking nightmares. This interesting premise is an excuse to throw all manner of trippy imagery at the player, and there's some legitimately disturbing stuff here, but it's dragged down by being coupled with terrible, juvenile writing. In-between the bizarre happenings, you jog around samey corridors and rooms, collecting hard-to-see items, and solving mundane puzzles. Occasionally, there's an enemy to escape from, and the game probably could have used a few more encounters, to break up the monotony of all the backtracking. A lot of the time, TLR fails to set the strong, oppressive atmosphere you'd expect from a horror title. I also dealt with several glitches, such as the time my character simply wouldn't respond to inputs, or items having to be recollected following a death, even though the game saved after picking them up. A couple of the trophy descriptions have grammatical errors, as well, which is always amusing. The pixel art is actually quite nice, though, and the soundtrack is appropriately creepy—especially the remix of "Jingle Bells." There are several nice little touches, too, like when the game shifts into a polygonal first-person view on an elevator, or a corpse uttering your PSN name as you walk by. Pretty clever. These developers are clearly competent, but TLR was a lukewarm experience for me. Maybe I should have bought "The Coma: Recut" instead... VirginiaI never made decisions. Things always came up and made them for me. #206 - Virginia Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Considering the price tag (a dollar), I didn't expect such a moving and unique experience. I'm usually unimpressed with "walking simulators," but this game actually omits most of the walking, and is truly a pure interactive narrative. Virginia is a series of tightly edited scenes, separated by jump cuts like a film, and accompanied by one of the most stirring scores I've ever heard, which kept me on the edge of my seat for the duration of FBI special agent Anne Tarver's small town investigation. It's so different from anything else I've ever played, and gave me goosebumps throughout. Although the story is delivered wordlessly (there's no spoken dialogue), and the game has a minimalistic art style, the excellent attention to detail in the character animations and environments make it nonetheless easy to follow—until it sort of goes bonkers at the end, where you'll probably need a plot guide like I did, to get a better understanding. I've heard people bash Virginia for being abstruse; for not dropping an exposition dump on the player, but that alone is a silly reason to hate a game or story. It's a controversial title, to be sure; one which won't grab everybody, but I can't recommend it enough—doubly so, if you're a fan of 90s shows like X-Files and Twin Peaks, since they were clearly big inspirations here. This has easily became my favorite game in the genre. The soundtrack alone makes it worth experiencing. Popular Post DarkSoleride
Game: Final Fantasy X-2 Platinum: Completion Date Achieved: 30/09/2019 (5 Years 9 months) Format: PS Vita I really don't know what to say with this game. I originally played it back on the PlayStation 2 abut 14 years ago. It was my first ever Final Fantasy game i had played so this platinum holds a special place in my heart. The game has a lot of Japanese pop culture and fan-service for the Final Fantasy X lovers out there. You pick up a few years after the events of Final Fantasy X Yuna has become a sphere hunter to find out how to reconnect with Tidus, meets up with an old friend and has a new companion too and they travel Spira to collect spheres and overcome new challenges of Vegnagun. The story is pretty messy and Gunners Gauntlet can go do one that i think was one of the more annoying trophies in the game. I could never beat this challenge when i was in my teens to be honest so i am happy i managed to do it now. Trema boss battle i was completely unprepared for so i had to grind a lot of levels i think i was around level 60 when i got to Trema i had to revisit previous floors to level up in the Bevelle Underground dungeon as i was really stuck the three Dark Knight method i what i used but ended up on level 80 i think after grinding out the last Dressphere for Paine (i only had Dark Knight maxed out with Yuna and Rikku at that point) then it was just a really long tedious battle after that. Also a huge thank you to StarDrop and his awesome video guide for basically netting every trophy in the game and getting 100% completion. Because if you mess one thing up it can screw you out of the "Sweet Perfection" trophy. Link below for the guide if you want to use it. Difficulty personally was 6/10 (because of Gunners Gauntlet, Sweet Perfection & Trema trophies) 100% Sweet Perfection video guide link Game: Titanfall 2 Platinum: Welcome to the 6-4 Date Achieved: 02/10/2019 Format: PS4 This game was so much fun (still is i love the multiplayer) i picked this up about a year or so ago in a sale for £4 but never really got round to playing it, i started it end of August and had been playing it on and off, i took a break due to the final boss battle on Master difficulty was so damn frustrating! I mean Respawn Entertainment really hit the nail on the head with this game. The gun-play is smooth and satisfying to pull off the story was fantastic and the game does a great job of making you feel like a badass (better than Destiny 2 has done haha). I must say there were a few things like dropping a grenade in a Titan action i never used this if it was not for a trophy i do not think i would have known you could do this as i went through two full playthoughs and never got that trophy, so they could i guess have done a better job by incorporating that into the game as it is a super fun feature that can be easily overlooked. Overall a really fun game and a massive thank you to @UAE_BOY87 as he ran a Share Play session and completed Becomes The Master out of his own kindness watching him run that gauntlet was amazing. Popular Post Dokusha
#104: Worldend Syndrome (With many, many thanks to the lovely @Larx for generously gifting me this game! ) Hello, hello, Platinum Party People! Another day, another visual novel with "World End" in the name. Worldend Syndrome would have likely flown underneath my radar if it wasn't for seeing screenshots of its striking art style. It's exceedingly easy on the eyes, with a painterly aesthetic used for the (often animated!) backgrounds, whereas the characters themselves look more traditionally anime-styled. I'll put a few examples in the spoiler box below! Spoiler A lovely cafe The pinwheels on the left are animated and lazily spin; it's a shame you can't see that in a simple jpeg. The colourful club room at school Summer camp in a traditional Japanese house, how nice! Worldend Syndrome's story centres around a depressed young man who travels to the picturesque rural village known as Mihate Town, to "throw his life away" by living the rest of his days in empty misery. Our boy is a very restrained protagonist, keeping to himself and having little patience for tomfoolery. But, as he joins his high school's Mystery Club, he makes friends and begins investigating the local "yomibito" legend, in which it is said that the town is terrorised by murderous spirits once every 100 years. This summer marks the 100th anniversary since the last supposed yomibito incident, and when several high school girls start turning up dead under mysterious circumstances, one begins to wonder if perhaps the legends are true... The idea of playing a depressed person who has given up on life doesn't sound terribly appealing to me, but I am glad to report that there is plenty of character development along the way, and the true ending is nothing short of life-affirming. I liked it. I liked it quite a bit! And honestly, I'd love to visit a scenic village like Mihate Town myself someday. It's such a gorgeous place. Progression through the story plays out more like a social link from the Persona series or bonding events in Danganronpa, rather than a fairly straightforward "choose the right dialogue options" system. Instead, you select a location to visit on the town map, and interact with whoever is at that location at that specific time. Whilst it makes for a more unique way of experiencing the story, it does make using a guide more essential than ever if you want to grab the platinum, since sometimes there's no real rhyme or reason as to where you have to go in order to obtain specific tips or CGs. Something worth bearing in mind if you plan to tackle this game without guidance!

Popular Post madbuk
#335 - Spec Ops: The Line Years ago, this was a PS+ game that I passed on because at the time I had no interest in it at all. Over the years my tastes have broadened though, and I had kept hearing this was a good game so I ended up buying it anyway, and I'm glad I did. The gameplay has plenty of flaws - my biggest issue with it being the janky run and enemy grenade spam - but the story definitely makes up for the rather lackluster gameplay. I had managed to avoid spoilers for this entirely, and seeing how the story and the characters develop throughout was engaging. The moral choices the game presents rarely have an option that is obviously the "good" choice and I liked that about it. I was dreading FUBAR difficulty quite a bit whilst doing my initial run on Suicide Mission difficulty, as I was dying quite regularly and FUBAR is relatively infamous. Having done it though, it wasn't really that bad. I'd say it's like Uncharted's brutal difficulty if brutal was actually fair. You barely have any health, checkpoints are scarce, but unlike Uncharted it never spawns you into a situation where you're killed immediately after the loading ends. You also have some companions to help out, and they're pretty powerful unlike Elena/Sully/etc. in the Uncharted games who are basically useless. Honestly I'd say I found FUBAR easier than Suicide Mission, probably because I already knew what to expect. This was a bit of a surprise, wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. I'm glad they didn't try and milk it and turn it into a franchise though, it works very well as a one off.
Popular Post ZoutjeNL
Platinum #12 Bloodborne Enjoyment: 10 Difficulty: 7 Man what a game! I completed all the Souls games on PC before. According to many Bloodborne is the masterpiece that Miyazaki created so I had high expectations going into this game. The atmosphere, the boss fights, the aggresion compared to Souls games, I love it! I just couldn't put the game down. So many great areas with different enemies and atmosphere, I almost did like them all. After completing the main game I went for the DLC straight away, one if not the best DLC for any souls game if you ask me. Almost all bosses where fantastic! Except one...you probably know which one I am talking about. Now that I got the platinum I am not sure wether I want to dabble into NG+ with a different weapon or play another game. But man this game justifies buying a PS4 alone. If you are like me and somehow haven't played this masterpiece, do yourself a favour and play it right now! It will remain an entry for one of my all time favourite games. I will probably keep playing this game at least once every year or so this game is amazing.
Popular Post Sofa King
# 122 Assassin's Creed: Origins Haven't really gotten into this series very much aside from a couple of games, but this compared to the older entries I've played was much more enjoyable. Very little of the Abstergo/Animus plot and more than enough to keep me busy. The climbing feels much easier and more intuitive to me and the combat was more fluid. The only thing that was a drawback for me was the map size, especially when going for the Old Habits trophy. That seemed like it would never end. And snakes.... so many snakes hiding in the dark. I HATE snakes so the first time I unwittingly stepped on a cobra made me jump a bit. All said I really had a blast with this game. Glad I did the DLC before the Old Habits trophy because after all that I've had my fill of Egypt.

Popular Post StilRh
Plat: 162, AI: Somnium Files Time: 27 hours Difficulty 4/10 Fun 7/10 - A bizzare store mastifully told. I was a bit disapointed that it didn't have the same empathasis on puzzling things out that the studios other games did - the the interegations were so simple they could have been taken out and replaced with dialogue and Somnium puzzles were easily guessed or could be beaten by trial and error. The VN aspect of the game truly shines though, I never paid premium (PS4 game) price for a VN but the voice acting and animations really bring the characters to life, I was really impressed with how memorable they were. A good balance of grisly horror and otaku style humour, I was gripped all the way through. Aiba best girl

Popular Post Masamune
Valkyrian Chronicler Obtained all trophies. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 Playtime: 54:55:33 (1 week, 2 days, 6 hours) Screenshot: Spoiler I only had to play a couple missions in this before I knew I was going to love it, awesome gameplay, great story, not too difficult... overall it was just as good as the original Valkyria Chronicles, maybe even a bit better (I think 4 probably has more enjoyable gameplay, but the original has a little better story). I only have one thing to complain about in this, & that's a certain event that happens towards the end of the game (you can probably guess if you played this before), that's the only thing that kept me from giving this a solid 10/10 (trust me, I would've loved to, but I just couldn't after that). Trophy-wise, everything is pretty easy... the game is very generous on giving you enough turns to easily A rank nearly every mission, even on the first try. & once you finish all the missions, you should have nearly enough cash to buy everything from the shop (a few runs of Hard Skirmish #8 can quickly get you whatever else you need). There's a few miscellaneous things that can be farmed pretty much whenever you want, the only thing that took a bit of grinding at the end was getting all your solders to Corporal rank, but this goes by pretty quick using the chapter 3 mission: Nocturnal Reconnaissance. That mission lets you work on 3 characters at once while your 2 main characters just hide in some grass, & it only takes 20 moves for each character since it's a main mission (if using a skirmish mission, it takes 40). This is really making me want to play Valkyria 2 & 3 now, if I'm not mistaken, I think they were for the PSP? It'd be awesome if they re-released them in a PS4 set or something... But anyways, I'd highly suggest both this & the original if you like more strategy-based games, they're some of my favorites!

Popular Post Bumperklever
#100 Borderlands 3 (PS4) Ultimate Vault HunterDate Achieved: 8 October 2019Rarity: Rare (15-16%)Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Long have thy awaited one of the true-est of milestones. After an official span of almost 7 years (and an unofficial one of 3.5 years), I finally reached my 100th plat. And the great ones threw in a new itteration of one of my all time favourite series right when I would potentially achieved this milestone. Time to play through Pandora (oh ha) once again on a quest to hunt vaults. In general, I loved the game. The characters for me felt like an all-star old cast, with all your favorite characters, but I didn't really fancy the new ones, maybe a few. Vaults were 'small' but makes the core idea of, key and treasure hunting ideal. But I like having a big vault over a small vault, so that is a miss. The story was standard, i liked the villains less then the oh so handsome Jack, but was there any competition in that front? The loot is insane with very diverse properties, also due to mayhem mode and a high legendary drop chance it was very fun to try to get them. Which was a point a did not really like in the earlier borderlands game, since a legendary drop would require a lot of farming there. Here it sometimes seems that you get it for free for every kill you make, an orange inventory is not rare, but it does make the game feel more fun. Next to that, the gunplay seemed very modern and therefore felled pretty good. Only for this last bit about loot and gunplay I would highly recommend trying it! Popular Post Geiita
Perfect Storm Master Acquired all the trophies. 13.56% 3.30% Time: 1 day, 22 hours, 22 minutes Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Opinion: Great The Ultimate Ninja games will always hold a special place in my heart being the first-ever fighting game I ever played. Storm 4 is, in my opinion, the best of the franchise, the combat is second to none in the series and I would imagine it would be the go-to for competitive Storm for quite a while, combat is pretty well balanced apart from the fact you can just body nearly everything with EMS Sasuke's Inferno Style: Susano'o Flame Control (found Scientific Ninja Tool Boruto to be pretty op as well but I doubt he holds up in an online environment) making the challenges rather easy. The game is a bit of cakewalk if you have any experience in series, didn't take me anymore then 2 attempts at most to S rank most bosses, Bijuu fights took a little longer getting to over 5 attempts on certain ones (Ninja Dreams Lonely Dreams, Six Paths Perfection & Kaguya Rampage) and are probably my least favourite part of the game. The story portion is pretty good, one of my favorite arcs in the series, not much beats seeing Team 7 reunited. All and all a pretty enjoyable experience ill probably get around to the others in the series not sure about Storm 2 don't think my CPU stomping translates very well to online.
