Popular Post Bumperklever
#101 A Hat in Time (PS4) Small child, big trophyDate Achieved: 9 October 2019Rarity: Uncommon (35-36%)Enjoyment: 9/10 Highly recommended, but even more recommended to play on PC (mod support + DLC); This game, together with mario odyssey, revamped the genre to have: Really colorfull, interesting places and insane movement options, makes it really fun to play through and master. This game gets further it's charm from unnecessary implementation as well, that shows how much the devs cared. I do say that it is a small game. So if you want a somewhat smaller and fun time breaker for a somewhat easier plat, this game is great!
Popular Post ZitMeatloaf
#33 - Awkward "No shame" We recently had company stay at our house and had some fun playing Knowledge Is Power, so I was looking for another simple party game to enjoy with family and friends who don't otherwise play video games. I picked this up during one of the recent sales for three bucks. It's a pretty fun time if you have company at your house and are looking for a party game. And yes, some of the questions can get awkward. I'm glad I didn't pay full price, but for three dollars it was a decent pickup.
Popular Post Xeroknight67
#27 Code Vein Revenant Preeminent Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 7/10 My Rating: 7/10 I really enjoyed this game. It has its flaws but is still an enjoyable game. It is very similar to the Souls/Born series so if your not a fan of those this may not be for you. The game dos have quite a few moments where the frame rate drops but that's usually in long hallways and not during important moments. I loved the anime style and the world they built. The story was really good and I honestly hope they make a sequel. The character customization is awesome. I personally wish there were more clothing choices but there is plenty of options to make your character as unique as you want. The game itself is pretty linear but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The fights can be challenging and at times BS but anyone who has played any of the Souls/Born games will know that's par for the course. The game itself has 3 endings and each one is different and I really liked that. Overall I struggled through this game but I enjoyed my time playing it and I hope there will be more.

Popular Post Conor
#41- UNCHARTED 3: DRAKE'S DECEPTION (PS3) Platinum Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 3.5/10 Time Taken: 3 months, 1 week, 3 days, 1 hour, 27 minutes (25 hours in-game) Rarity: 1.2% Ultra Rare (PSN) / 11.07% Rare (PSNProfiles) Hardest Trophy: Charted!- Crushing (Gold)- Finish the game in Crushing Mode "All men dream, but not equally..." I suppose if I had played these games at the time of release, I would have had a much easier time getting into this one. Perhaps I didn't wait long enough after the amazing Uncharted 2: Among Thieves to start into the third game in Naughty Dog's Indiana Jones-inspired trilogy. It just felt like too much of the same, whereas U2 had a very significant leap above the very first game in the series. So I left things for a few months and it did the world of good because I found myself enjoying the game a lot more after Chapter 6. The characters are as affable as ever, and thankfully Sully has a greater presence this time, being conspicuously absent in the last game. I wish we could have gotten more time with Chloe and newcomer Charlie Cutter, funnily enough played by Graham MacTavish who previously portrayed villain Zoran Lazarevic in the previous outing. Speaking of whom, the villains of the piece were comparatively weak, not living up to the duo of Lazarevic and Harry Flynn. The Helen Mirren type lady isn't given enough time to really be impactful and Spoiler her sidekick Talbot turns out to be the final boss . In fact, they are pretty much identical to Roman and Navarro in the first game, with Robin Atkin Downes even portraying both Navarro and Talbot. This was one of the many ways I found the story, while good, to be a bit of a rehash of elements from the first two games. Spoiler There's even a convoy chase section, an ancient city inhabited by supernatural beings and it all ends with said city being annihilated thanks to Drake . Still entertaining but not as fresh as the other games felt. The gameplay is great if nothing all that special. The set pieces are spectacular- the burning chateau, the cruise ship, the crashing plane and the sinking city, all amazing- and the combat seems to be a little more open than previous games with more options for both you and your enemies. There also seems to be a lot more enemies in each encounter so the challenge ramps up a bit. I found a few areas to be very cheap in Crushing difficulty and that I prevailed through sheer dumb luck than by skill. I did like how Drake could interact with the environment in certain fights, one of which involved beating enemies to death with fish which was very amusing. It also feels a bit weird leaving the game at 51% trophy completion, but with the multiplayer servers shut down as of September 3rd 2019, getting those extensive DLC trophies is pretty much out of the question- I know some of them are still doable in local, but that's just not worth the effort for me, it would be a waste of time I could easily send playing more games. There were two mandatory MP trophies which I thankfully got well before the shutdown. Otherwise, although I'm sure it was a fun mode for those who liked it, I never personally thought that MP belonged in a story driven game, a little out of place and just there to extend the game's "lifespan" even though single-player games can never actually die since you don't need anybody else to be playing them. Now with the trilogy wound up, my next port of call with Nate and company is the little PS Vita exclusive Uncharted: The Golden Abyss. I'll be very interested to see just how well the formula translates to a handheld device. But of course, I've learned my lesson for now and will space it out with a few more games before then. Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #192 Moss Together We're Twofold Collect all other Moss Trophies. Great game. Took me awhile to finish it up because following a guide for collectables in a VR game is not a fun experience so it kind of wore me down and put me off for awhile, but I finally got around to doing it again. I really love VR games like this, where you're not playing "you" but are some kind of being who oversees and helps another character. Like Moss, Astro Bot... two of my favorite VR games. Can't wait to try Ghost Giant next. I will say that at times controlling the 'readers' abilities and dragging along an enemy didn't work that great. But it may be how close I sit to my camera, but it works fine 99% of the time anyway. Story is cute and actually made me cry near the end. Things get a bit grim and it's awesome. Not sure what it is with mice and stories like that, but hey... combat is passable, though not much special. But at least you can dodge. Would be a nightmare otherwise. Graphics are great, I do wish there were a few more reflective surfaces to keep the 'reader' in the minds of the player. Other than direct action and water you don't really see the reflection of who you are. And unlike Astro Bot you aren't flowing forward as the camera, you just appear page to page (levels). Music is great, the narrator is really awesome and all the voices she's able to do. I believe she does all of them anyway, which adds a nice feel to it given the setup is from reading a book. There are some really neat touches in the... idk library or where ever the book is. The dust you collect fills up a little bottle to the left of the book, which I didn't notice until doing my no death run and it being empty vs full on my other playthrough. And to the right is where all the fragments make a picture. It's neat. Game is focused mostly around puzzles and none are really hard, but some take a bit to figure out but nothing too frustrating. It's a nice balance in puzzles that I like.
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #400: Difficulty: 2.5/10 Playtime: 10-15 hours Enjoyment: 9/10 One of the finest story based games I've played in a long time. Atmosphere for days and some fun sling-based gameplay besides. Granted, I haven't really played enough of this year's games to have an informed opinion, but I'm pretty confident it would have been a top contender regardless. Proud to have been able to slot this in as my 400th.

Popular Post Undead Wolf
#284 - Dragon Quest Builders Perfectionist Awarded for earning all of the other trophies. I had mixed feelings about this one. For the most part, I did enjoy going around collecting resources and building up my base - it could be pretty chill. But I found much of the experience to be quite tedious as well, especially during Chapter 2 (by far the worst part of the game). It could be quite frustrating when you're given a task but it's not clear exactly what's required to complete it, and since I was playing this on Vita (often away from my PC), looking up the solutions online wasn't always the easiest thing to do. I was also a little disappointed by how much this game railroads you when it comes to base building. You have to settle in a specific location the game tells you and a lot of the buildings are already half built. Also, I wasn't expecting the combat to be in-depth or anything for a game like this, but it felt more awkward than I would have liked. So yeah, this is a decent enough game, albeit with some frustrations. I would hope that the sequel is a big improvement, but I'm on the fence about purchasing that one.

Popular Post X_Wizi_X
#124 Horizon Zero Dawn + Dlc A little Assassin's Creed 3, a little Farcry 3, a little Uncharted, the game is great. There are only 2 things I liked less: I had some difficulty in the climbing parts (I couldn't see the starting point more than once) and when I was using the focus ability in daylight I could hardly see hidden objects. Apart from that I really enjoyed it. Ultra hard NG+ with the adept bow is a joke. Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 3.5/10

Popular Post madbuk
#336 - Ys: Memories of Celceta I have never played a Ys game before, so this was all new to me. It felt like a good introductory game - you don't need to know any of the lore or characters, and the systems are fairly simple and easy to adapt to. Seems like a franchise I'll be a fan of if the other games are a bit better, as this game is held back a bit by its story and characters, which are completely forgettable and bland, and the gameplay got a bit repetitive since none of the dungeons require any real thought. There were no puzzles, exploration didn't amount to much because there aren't really any side paths or secrets... If the other Ys games have better stories and more intricate dungeons, then I could definitely see myself playing more of this franchise in the future. I liked the concept of it basically being a collectathon mixed with a JRPG, although it didn't give you as many tools to track the stuff you're missing compared to 3D collectathons with in-depth level collection lists which is a shame. I hear the other Ys games fix this though which is very nice. I'll probably try out Ys VIII eventually, to see what a mainline numbered entry is like in comparison, but it won't be for a while.
