Popular Post ZKA9
Crash Bandicoot: Warped Is my 100th platinum! The original Crash Bandicoot was the very first Playstation game that I ever played, so a game from that series (as well as it being one of my favourite game series of all time) I thought would make a great 100th plat.

Popular Post Vrisnem
One True King Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom One of the best games I've played in a while. Funny, as I originally dropped it for three weeks around chapter 3 because I found it was getting a little boring. But once I got to the point where I was able to visit towns, participate in side quests, and develop Evermore I began having a lot more fun with it! ?
Popular Post Arcesius
Platinum #60 – Lumo 100% Enjoyment: 5/10 100% Challenge: 5/10 Remember how gaming was in the late 80s and early 90s? No? I was more concerned with learning how to walk back then, so yeah, me neither. But, it seems that Lumo was inspired by games from around that time. A tribute to the first isometric puzzle platformers, but how does it hold up when played without nostalgia goggles? 100% Enjoyment Let me start with something completely insignificant, but that I want to get out of the way. Lumo gotta have some of the ugliest trophy images I have earned yet. I'm not kidding, those might be a throwback to the 80s as well, but man I cannot stand them. At least the platinum image is somewhat cute, but what the hell is this? Ok maybe the last one ain't so bad… But that style sure isn't for me… ? Anyways, that out of the way, what is Lumo about? Well, it is a puzzle platformer with an isometric camera, duh... You move from room to room as this little Vivi-clone (but way less cute, obviously), find collectibles and solve single-room puzzles or overcome challenges. The puzzles are overall pretty basic, ranging from pushing ice blocks around to reach switches, to redirecting light sources using mirrors. But the main focus of Lumo is in its platforming. Throughout your playthrough you'll encounter moving, collapsing, invisible, slippery or timed platforms, spike traps, fire pits and other sorts of obstacles you'll have to deal with while looking for the switches needed to progress to the next area. And here, the isometric camera will be your worst enemy and needs some getting used to. There are many instances where a jump seems straightforward but will result in death due to the deceiving perspective. During the playthrough, you'll move from the starting area, where you get the ability to jump, to a church-themed area which gives you the first and only power-up, a "wand" power to make invisible platforms visible, over to the ice world, where things get significantly more challenging. Everything you've learned there is then put to the test in the final area, the mansion, where old obstacles are plentyful and new obstacles are introduced as well. The soundtrack is for the most part just atmospheric music, and while it helps create that sense of loneliness and wonder, it also gets boring pretty quickly… ? Overall, one playthrough should only take a couple of hours and is quite fun, but once the puzzles are solved, there is not enough gameplay there to keep things interesting, which is why it's good that it is relatively short. When it comes to trophies, though… 100% Challenge Out of the 43 trophies in the game, 36 are entirely missable. Soooo… yeah… ? First of all, there are five types of collectibles… The worst ones are the ducks, as there are two trophies tied to finding all 32 of them. To collect a duck, you need to jump on it and safely exit the room. Only then it counts as collected, and there is a trophy for finding all ducks, and another one for never dying while "holding" a duck (that is, never dying between jumping on a duck and exiting the room). That is no easy feat, mind you, as most ducks are rather hard to reach! That trophy seems to be a bit tricky to get for some, at least according to what I've read, but luckily it popped for me without any issues. You also need to collect all 60 coins, as 10 are needed to play each of the six minigames found in the so-called "warp-zone". Those are arcade-style minigames that can only be attempted ONCE. There is one extra trophy attached to each minigame for achieving something special, mostly for completing the minigame with a set amount of time remaining, etc. I found one minigame where you are a giant bouncing ball to be rather challenging to complete in the required time, but after some attempts (back up your save, kiddos! ?) I got the hang of it. There is another difficult minigame with a rolling ball and reversed controls, but I just held the controller upside-down… ? And then there is Old Skool Daze!… The ultimate tribute to the arcade games of old. You need to play the entire game in Old School Mode, that is, in one sitting, with no save-states and limited lives. You are given 3 lives at the start of the game, and can collect some more along the playthrough. When you are playing this mode, every single jump can make you nervous, as the camera really doesn't help feeling confident with the positioning. I didn't feel like practicing challenging sections on a regular playthrough, so I went for Old School Mode right away. On my first attempt, I managed to get past the ice world and into the mansion, but I had already lost too many lives by then and my run ended pretty shortly after. ? But I learned from that run, and on my next attempt the day after, I got into the mansion having only died twice until then. Every death in the mansion would still make me super nervous, but I took my time and, luckily, got to the end with some lives to spare. However, I can see this trophy being super frustrating, so I still need to give the game a 5/10 in challenge... Maybe a bit higher Edited November 21, 2019 by Arcesius
Popular Post Dargzler
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Difficulty was a 3/10 but enjoyment was an 8.5 / 10. I did like the game, it combines a few tricks and ideas from other games such as Dark Souls, God of War, Uncharted and has many skills you can unlock and abilities in a metroidvania style where you go back to unlock items you couldn't before. Without spoiling the story I found it great, I enjoyed all the characters and the character building, you actually care about the people here and can interact and talk with them whilst not on a mission. There were a few bugs and glitches as well as freezing on a certain planet but this will not affect my enjoyment too much. Overall I would recommend this to any Star Wars fans!

Popular Post yellowwindow7
Marvelous! / Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash i bought this game without reading much about it, i just saw a few screenshots for it on the Live on Playstation section and when i posted a comment about how is this game plays like in here and also on the live on playstation the answer is a bit identical " it borrow some elements from every online shooter especially Nintendo's Splatoon.... i don't know if that's good or bad since i don't have any of Nintendo's platforms and i don't really like online only games.... only got the Famicom as a Kid. so i order this game from a local online shop and they didn't have it but they ship it from the US Amazon Prime and it reach me after a week, mine happen to be the (Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash: No Shirt, No Shoe, All Service Edition) what a long name ._. this edition came with i think three DLC's, one school girls dress that will get wet to reveal what your girl is wearing under it and a bunch of bikini, a pack of pay-to-win skill cards, and a watergun ( RPG shaped like a japanese food that shoot cucumbers) ...... because it made sense ? and a Blu-ray disc contain the opening animation of all the games until PBS and a short trailer for the anime, a soundtracks CD, an art book ( which is my favorite ) and the most important thing the game disc. this is my very first game in the series, a lot's of people recommended me to play Shinovi Versus as it's the best one in the series on the ps4, but i skip it after i heard that it plays more like the Musou Series and i kinda had enough of that mindless hack n slash stuff which kinda bored me out. PBS is a single player offline and multiplayer water gun contest where the girls have been invited to a championship of a team battle of 5 vs 5 or 1 to 5 versus an army of generic none playable robots and girls in bikinis and even a giant robot bosses. for a series that started as a beat em ups i find it amazing how good the aiming and shooting is and you can switch to manual and auto aiming on the fly with a click of a button, ironically the melee attack in this game is very cluncky and had somesort of a cool down rule, my favorite mode is the online Survival Co op... sadly the online is a Wasteland! i tried to play with random people online since i bought the game two months ago and only find one guy alone in a lobby and when i joined he instantly leave or something and i never find a human player ever since! luckily the latest patch allow you to play the survival mode with bots, it's not the best but at least i can enjoy the survival co op as long as the the online service is active. i really wish if there's a long dungeon or a level where you play a long level from point A to point B while fighting enemies along the way would have been so cool. you don't take the story in this game too seriously as it's just more and more silly as it can be but i personally find the Homura's Crimson Squad to be the funniest story in the game, though my most played team is the Gessen Girls academy, i just adore Minori So Much! the share button started to worn out taking screenshots of her ? the platinum trophy is a straight forward to attain you just need to know that this is a japanese game so there's gotta be some mindless grind regardless. one trophy you need to works on from the start is the Rulebreaker! is to beat 100 playable character with melee attack thanks to Goikko for the guide, as for the Squirmy Master trophy i found the best way to track who you have finished with and whose not is to take a screenshot of the area of the girl you soak her in water each time you done a squirmy finish since the game can't track your progress on that, after you done feel free to delete the screenshots.... or you can keep them for studying..... now that i have done with this game i'm kinda interested in the main series... might get myself into Shinovi Versus in the end.... so sad Senran Kagura 7 is in trouble, i heard the reason for that is Sony's censorship as the developers saying the game might skip the ps4 and released only on the PC and switch but at the same time they don't wanna abandoned the ps4 due to the huge installbase to the series on sony's side and they wanted to talk it out with Sony..... now will you excuse me, i gotta go to update my best girl, favorite female characters in video games and Waifu list ?

Popular Post Redgrave
#161: Vic Boss - Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Officially my longest Platinum overtaking Call of Duty: World at War by two years, so it was seven years ago (Kept you waiting, huh?) that I played it for the first time. I probably could have done it sooner but at the time of playing it I didn't really have anyone to co-op it with and I often avoided online stuff anyway but I also didn't know what to do with the AI Pod farming since I felt like I wasn't getting anywhere with the parts, so I didn't even really beat the game at the time either. So it kind of felt like a lost cause until @Undead Wolf convinced me to get PS Now and play it again and I certainly don't regret taking that opportunity The game itself I really felt like it was underappreciated both for the story and gameplay. The gameplay really shines for the co-op because of all the cool gear and equipment you can make that makes them more fun and the harder missions easier. It's also great because of all the silly things that can happen, like this slingshot that requires four players It was also really cool to see the Monster Hunter crossover and how they went through the effort of making cutscenes for it as well as an original monster design. There was definitely a lot more love put into the game than it could have had and I'm glad they went that extra mile since it really gave a nice charm to the game. It's a shame The Phantom Pain wound up not having a similar co-op experience since I'm sure there would have been all sorts of fun things that could have been done to make really great moments like in Peace Walker. So yeah, it's definitely one of the best co-op experiences one could have and the story is good too if you're into the MGS story. I hope Kojima or someone else can find a way to make a similar game again. But I'm certainly glad I got another chance to Platinum it again since I really didn't think I would have gotten another chance to. Now all that's really left to say is... Spoiler Peace! Popular Post Undead Wolf
#292 - Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Vic Boss Obtained every trophy. This is a game I started all the way back in 2014, but at the time, I found myself overwhelmed by the massive gameplay changes from what I was used to in the series. I had no idea what I was doing back then and ended up quitting when I came across the first "boss fight" because I had some trouble with it. It may have taken over 5 years for me to return to this game, but I'm really glad I did. I love this game now! Not only is the story great, but I found the gameplay loop quite addictive too. I had a lot of fun building up my Mother Base with new personnel, developing weapons, building my very own Metal gear, etc. There's much satisfaction to be had seeing how far you've come over the course of the game. I was originally planning on playing this game solo, but I managed to convince my friend @Redgrave to play with me via PS Now, and it worked surprisingly well. Glad I could get you another Metal Gear plat, bud. Definitely one of the best co-op experiences I've had in quite some time. Popular Post Copanele
No. 71 : J-Stars Victory VS+ Platinum Name : J-STARS Victory VS+ Rarity : 9.03% (Very Rare) Hardest Trophy : The Road to Glory - Win every battle on Victory Road Difficulty : 3/10 (as long as you get how to build your deck) Personal impression : 7/10 J-Stars Victory VS is a 3D brawler between all relevant shonen jump characters(at least from 2014) and is the lesser known predecessor of Jump Force. If you know the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games, this is the same gameplay style. You have to form a 3-man team(sometimes even 4) from all the 52 available characters. Normally you can control one character, another secondary character is controlled by the CPU and the third character acts as a support , spamming in the match to throw in an attack and leave (with a cooldown). Only 39 characters are playable, the rest can only act as a support. There are 3 main modes you can tackle : Campaign (split into 4 arcs, each with its own protagonists), Victory Road ( You have to conquer each map thrown at you and select multiple paths) and VS mode (where all the local and online stuff happens). Personally i never managed to connect to someone online so every single impression and gameplay will be from a single player perspective. Honestly, whether you go Story, Victory Road and Online, the idea is kinda the same. For an anime fan this game will be quite fun, because there are lots of references and stuff from the main source materials( e.g. When you defeat Raoh from Hokuto No Ken, he doesn't die , he just stands tall, yells something in japanese then the match ends - just like in the manga). Models are quite good and the maps are not that badly designed either ( except the Namek Planet, screw that map). Also the ultimate moves and all the attacks are quite flashy too. Each battle gives you J-Points (the currency of the game), where you can buy various stuff but most importantly you can buy character cards! These cards give various buffs and debuffs and you can customize them into your deck. If you get 3 "combination bonus" cards (from a weird list from the internet, the guide explains it in more detail), all the debuffs are removed for that line of cards. I honestly spent alot of time in building my deck and finding the best heroes combo so I can dish out the biggest amount of damage as fast as possible. At first glance, the game is not that bad BUT! it is. incredibly. BORING. After finishing your main arc (Luffy, Ace, Seiya), you will notice that everything repeats itself. Even if you do change and mix characters, the fun runs out pretty fast. I do believe that avid anime fans will love this game but a casual anime/manga consumer like me that wants diverse gameplay too. And honestly, half the roster is quite useless. Ichigo and Naruto are pathetic really( maybe they are good online who knows) even though they are part of the main cast. The rest are not really relevant. There's only one team I discovered that dishes out insane amounts of damage: Luffy, Kenshiro and Vegeta(support). Luffy is a powerhouse with all his gatling moves, Kenshiro is a sturdy paralisys madman and Vegeta's Big Bang Attack support obliterates up to 50% of the enemy's HP. With all these options, why would I choose other characters? Victory Road became trivial even at 5/5 stars difficulty. Honestly, play this game only if you really love your Shonen stuff(got delisted, not available to buy digitally anymore). The game as a brawler is not that good really and gets boring fast. I have to give points for the effort though, since the game doesn't look half bad and it usually works....as long as team Sasuke and Madara don't spam their shit and kill my framerate. Bonus points for Gintoki from Gintama. He's the funniest character I ever played as and against. A walking talking anime gag (just the way Gintama is ,really)
Popular Post Masamune
Platinum Columbia Acquire all other trophies Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Playtime: N/A (2 days, 12 hours, 47 minutes) Screenshot (well, at least it's not a complete black screen ?): Spoiler It wasn't as hard as I was expecting, especially considering I went the hard route & did just a single 1999 mode playthrough. It had a few tough parts in it that took a couple tries (chapter 1, the first Siren fight, final battle, etc.), but nothing game-breakingly difficult. Surprisingly, I think I even enjoyed the game a bit more than when I played it on my old account some time ago, although it still can't compare to 2, or even 1 imo... that ending is just, ugh. Other than that though, gameplay is pretty good (but I do miss the weapon wheel from the previous game), as is the trophy list (I've always liked those kill-type trophies). Next up I'll be working on the DLC, which I've never played before. I'm looking forward to Burial at Sea, not so much Clash in the Clouds though.

Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #44 - Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage Difficulty Rating 4/10 Enjoyment Rating 5/10 Uncommon - 26.12% Tell me, do you like musou games? You do? Well, do you like them in 10 frames per second? If your answer is also yes, I have the game just for you! Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage is based off the manga franchise of the same name. It’s basically Dynasty Warriors with musclebound martial artists that are capable of dismembering each other in seconds. The curse of any FotNS video game is that it feels the need to borrow an already existing formula from another game... much like how FotNS: Lost Paradise is merely Yakuza with a few bells and whistles added in, and so on. To get right to the point, Ken’s Rage does an excellent job respecting the source material it comes from. But it’s downfall is in the gameplay department. Not only can the framerate dip into the single digits, but everything from running to punching feels like an absolute chore. I’ve played musou games that felt buttery smooth before, yet everything in Ken’s Rage feels 20 times heavier than it has to be. You’ll constantly be fighting the controls from start to finish. The enemy has too many invincibility frames during recovery while you are stuck with absolutely none. I’m starting to see why nobody ever talked about this game, and for good reason. The platinum is very simple, but I wouldn’t say it’s easy by any means. An immense amount of patience is required if you are to see the end of this road. You’ll need to play everyone’s Legend Mode and Dream Mode. That’s it! Apart from stacking kills to pulling off finishers on the bosses in Legend Mode, that’s merely all it takes.. but it will take time. I clocked in 57 hours myself trying to make characters stronger and experiencing the story. If you’ve seen the anime, Legend Mode will be nothing new to you. Dream Mode however consists of several what if scenarios. It’s the selling point for any FotNS super-fan like myself. I had a great time following along with these new stories... if only the gameplay could of been just as good. My favorite Dream Mode would have to be Jagi’s. He’s much more fun to play as with his shotgun and rocket launcher given the slow clunky punching gameplay from other characters. The dialogue had me rolling the whole time with how well Jagi and Amiba got along together whilst they attempt their apocalyptic takeover and it was most certainly the highlight of my journey ? In all honesty, Ken’s Rage is super jank. You are better off avoiding this one altogether. Being a huge fan of this manga franchise, even I found very little enjoyment in it. With a few more months of polish, this could of been something truly special. I hear Ken’s Rage 2 is even worse in some cases, but... all in due time. Alas, my search for the perfect FotNS video game continues. Truth be told, I don’t think it exists... meanwhile DBZ and One Piece still get like 50 games a year ? For being the legendary franchise that really got the shonen genre going, you’d think FotNS would get a game that’s truly magnificent someday. How much longer does a boy have to wait? ? Roses are red. Violets are blue. Omae wa mou shindeiru ☠️

Popular Post madbuk
#344 - Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms I appreciate that the routes in this game do actually significantly diverge from each other (they share similar key events, but that makes sense since the MC shouldn't have any control over them), but... 13 routes was a bit much. They all began to blur together for me, and if you ask me in a year or two I doubt I'd be able to remember any routes in particular, as none really stood out to me apart from maybe Harada's. This is likely the longest VN I've done and I don't feel like it really justified that length at all. The main character definitely seemed more competent in this compared to Kyoto Winds, it feels like she has actually grown as a character throughout the story. I wish Sen and her bodyguard were more prominent instead of being relegated to side characters, as they were my favourites, but I guess that just made all of their appearances more meaningful. Some characters have their personalities shift dramatically between routes, but I don't really understand how the main character's decisions impact them at all as she's very rarely even in contact with them. Also the decisions that lead to the bad ends/game overs don't make much sense either to me because the choices and the endings seem completely unrelated to each other. Overall these two games were good, but apparently this is a remake with added routes and I feel like all the added routes have diluted the overall quality a bit.

Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Platinum trophy No. 142! The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Cold Steel Conqueror Finally I've started this wonderful Falcom series! Everything is great: plot, characters (and their relationships), world, combat system, and soundtrack (of course. I didn't think Falcom could surpass the Ys soundtracks (Origin and VIII), but I was wrong. This soundtrack is a masterpiece! Epic battle themes like Belief, Exceed! and The decisive collision, but also relaxing town music like Legram, Evening moments and Land of blue skies...). Unfortunately the game ended with a brutal cliffhanger , so I wanted to started immediately the second one, since there were too many questions unanswered! It looks like this game is a huge prologue to the ToCS series. Maybe it could be very linear (compared to the second game, which has an "open world" structure), but I really liked the Academy days, with exams and field studies in the different parts of the Erebonian Empire. Unfortunately the NG+ could be boring and slow, since you have to do 40 sidequest (more or less) for the last Master Quartz (but I had to do all of them again because I missed a very short hidden sidequest in Chapter 4.), so I really didn't like it (while I had more fun with the NG+ in ToCS II! And it was even faster! ). Luckily there's a turbo mode, because I found the game really slow, and in this way I finished it with 65 hours, then I had to leave my PS4 idling for 35 hours just for the 100 hours trophy (Trails in the Couch ). And slowly I finally did it! Now a short gallery of the best places I loved! # 1 Evening at Lake Lacrima! # 2 A new day in the North Lands, which I also called the "Shadow of the Colossus" chapter! #3 A night view of Legram, my favourite town! ? #4 Another beautiful night in the Castle of the Saint in Legram. Unfortunately a Nosferatu ruined the night... #5 I hope I wasn't the only one running in the opposite direction in Roer. But it was fun! And the platinum screenshot in the courtyard of the Thors Academy, doing some gardening during the 100 hours trophy...? But you can see my favourite team!
