Popular Post Eremoto
#60 - Godzilla GODZILLA Fun factor: Making your toys fight each other/Maybe (even if tedium sets in) Difficulty: Try not to get sleepy/10 It took: More than 2 years oh god Do I feel special for platting a discontinued game? A bit. Likely the rarest trophy I'll ever get. Grindy yet enjoyable, I don't see this game as the heap of trash many classify it as. It's a quite accurate simulation of being The King of All Monsters and the diorama mode once you've got all the figures is the most nerd fan-servicy thing I've ever seen in a game appart from Budokai Tenkachi 3 having such a large roster. At least I learned to appreciate Biollante and Gigan, even if it meant hating Battra. Grinding with him was the absolute lowest point, but it put me in a kaiju mood I appreciate. But seriously, unless you are nuts for Godzilla, don't attempt this, please.

Popular Post Carol
#173 Assassin's Creed III Master Assassin Get every trophy. I played this game for the first time when it was given as part of the IGC. Back then, I was just a beginner trophy hunter, with no experience in AC games, so I just played the story and left. I didn't feel capable of achieving this platinum at the time. Now, six years later, not only I feel much more experienced and confident in terms of what I can achieve trophy-wise, but I also have been playing lots of AC games, so basically now I feel that I can conquer every AC game! Combining that with some PS3 nostalgia, I decided to go back to AC3! This platinum took me more than 60 hours. I think Ubisoft exaggerated with the obsessive effort that this platinum requires. All the objectives for each mission have to be done in one playthrough, everything in the game has to be meticulously scrutinized, even things like finding all the animals in each region of each place you visit or visiting all the taverns.... I think it was a bit too much. Most optional objectives aren't that hard, if you know AC and if you read some tips. There were some that gave me trouble; the infamous "The Giant and the Storm" privateer contract literally took me hours until I finally found out a strategy that worked to sink all the three ships by firing on their powder stores. Six years later, this platinum is finally done and it's now my longest platinum.
Popular Post HaserPL
#150 - Lollipop Chainsaw Legendary Zombie Hunter 100% Complete! Thank you for playing! Finally 150th platinum! I really wanted to play this game but its price in Poland was so high that I had to let it pass until one of my friends has finally bought it and I could borrow it from him :D. Fun game to play, not so much to platinum. I feel like this game can be compared to Saints Row or Deadpool, take out the humor and craziness from the game and you're left with something almost unplayable due to its dullness and repetitiveness. But because of the said things, you can accept the mediocre and boring gameplay to experience what fu*ked up things the authors have prepared for you. And in that sense, the game is worth to play.

Popular Post Deadly_Ha_Ha
# 28 - Oninaki Difficulty - 3/10 Enjoyment - 3/10 I really feel badly having to give this game such a low enjoyment rating. I have really appreciated what this developer has been doing with all of their games, and despite them not all being on this profile I have gotten 100% for the three of their games thus far. The problem here was the grind. If you look at this account and my old one (Oro_Castoro), you'll see a lot of RPG's, so I'm not new to grinds. But this one was absolutely awful. The game itself was ok; the music was ok; the gameplay was ok; the story was ok. I wish that this developer would maybe do some more interesting stuff but what I really wish was that they wouldn't slap an arbitrary 15+ hour grind onto the post-game for one or two trophies. When you use special attacks in Oninaki, there is a random chance that you'll get something for that skill called an "Awakening". There are a total of 20 of them and they unlock in a random order for every skill. You can increase the chance of Awakening by upgrading your weapons, but at the end of the day, it took that 15+ hour grind to get all 20 of them. It went from boring to mind-numbing to maddening. It took longer to get all the Awakenings than it took for me to complete the 101 floor post-game dungeon, which itself took over 10 hours of the same combat from the main game, which itself was completely invariable. There was never an end in sight. It was so random that I could not tell when it would be done. But hour after hour it was the same exact string of like 25 seconds of button inputs, for 15+ hours. You can imagine that this was not fun. I'm sorry to turn this into a venting session, but this game took me so long to do because doing it for longer than like an hour at a time put me at risk for running my head into a wall. My next game has got to be a well-earned respite from this genre. Edited November 25, 2019 by Deadly_Ha_Ha

Popular Post Hush_wu
#9 The Last of Us (PS3) Got this a few days ago. One of the Platinum trophies that I'll remember the most. I started working on it soon after the news about the servers shut down came along. While not having any intention of getting every single trophy, I thought that I couldn't risk never be able to obtain the Platinum for a game I care about so much. And so I did, played the multi-player for a month, with a short break in-between. After more time passed, for whatever reason, I thought that maybe I could've gotten the dlc mp trophies, if all it took was some boosting. Problem was, I had the realization the last day before the servers would shut down for ever. I came on here, looked for people that were looking to boost at the very last minute, like me, and I found a Discord group with tons of people. It was messy, there were a lot of people who needed different kind of trophies. After 5 hours or so, finally found a group of 8 people willing to boost together, and we got through it, more or less. At the end, I made a couple new friends, and I also stayed after I completed my dlc trophies to help other people who needed them, before going to to bed at 5am. It was one of the best experiences I ever had playing a videogame, so this Plat is one I'll hardly forget. Also this game is obviously fantastic, the multi-player was/is phenomenal, I only wish TLoU2 would have one too. Sorry for the long post, hope it didn't cause a clutter.

Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Platinun trophy No. 143! The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II The Ashen Chevalier Part II of this incredible series. I obtained the two platinum trophies together, just to have the to games together in my list! The second part begins just at the very end of the first game (luckily, since I really wanted to know what happened to Rean!). And now you have some kind of "open-world" map, so you can travel on foot from one city to another and revisit all the different places, especially for all the different trial chests (which I really hated). By the way, I found that the chests have some kind of "jokes" when you don't have the right characters... ...Really? I found that the soundtrack is a little bit a step down compared to the first game. Don't get me wrong, is very good, but I missed some tracks from the previous game, like the cheerful Skies of a strange land, replaced here by the same theme in every road of the Empire, Crossing over the horrors of war (a much sadder track, which is a right choice, since there's a civil war), but also other themes appeared for a couple of events, like Belief and Exceed!. But there was a huge surprise when I reached the trial dungeons for the Zemurian ores: the Aria -Holy Saint, Holy Spirit- was really amazing, but unfortunately is missing on the official ost (but it appears in the Super Arrange version of the first game! And the text is in English, not in Latin!). A perfect choice for these dungeons, I really took a lot of time exploring these just for the music. And I took my sweet time again in the final dungeon of the game, with the Phantasmal blaze. After this the game could really end. I didn't like the tow extra chapters , especially after the ending of the Final chapter (the Divertissement with the two new characters). And another (final) dungeon in the Epilogue. Really? A trial which is not a real trial and it has no reward... My apologies, I didn't like this dungeon. Other good tracks are, of course, Blue Destination (a rearrangement of The decisive collision) and the Ymir Valley Road (probably I should move and live there. ). But they didn't put Land of blue skies in the North Land. This is not good. In the end, I like much more the first game, especially for the "school part" and the "field exams", while I really appreciate the free exploration of the second one. The NG+ of the first game was longer and boring, while the NG+ of the second one is much faster! Now I'll take a break after two ToCS in a row, probably I'go with ToCS III during the next year! But I'll put other RPGs during the waiting time. Unfortunately the platinum screenshot is quite similar to Winter's end. But the best trophy screenshot was the one for the 100 S-craft: She's the perfect character for this trophy! Actually there's another screenshot that I wanted to add, which is related to a bond event between Rean and Alisa. Beware, it could be a spoiler! Good job, Valimar!
Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
Star Trek - PS3 (#266) "Conquer Star Trek" Pushing forward with my trek to conquer the Project Platinum for Movies, this platinum marks the halfway mark. It was a mix of epic frustration and mild wonder. Having no point of reference for the franchise (not the movies, not the shows, basically no knowledge of this outside of it taking place in space), the story was basically nonsense. It assumes you have a mild understanding of the world it inhabits. The game is set up in Chapters that are subdivided like vignettes. The chapters are punctuated with set pieces such as boss battles, timed sequences, or flight. It is a third person action game, spending almost all of its time pretending it is a shooter with some platforming involved. No puzzles or wondering where to go next as the waypoint is always at the ready to point you EXACTLY where to go next. It was perfectly fine in story telling, length, and gameplay. On the positive side, the game is set up as a co-op campaign. I did not play it this way, but I can see where this shooting gallery style game lends itself perfectly to couch co-op. The two characters are slightly different, in skill sets and weaponry, making each distinguishable. The Hard difficulty was not really very difficult, but posed a challenge in several sections. The To the Top section towards the end was the most frustrating. The stealth sections were probably the biggest challenge, but allowed for a welcome change of pace. This is certainly outweighed by glitches such as waypoints getting stuck and not registering you have already passed them. I had my AI co op partner shoot up into the sky never to come back again, causing for a checkpoint reload. The platforming is primitive and almost broken.Jumping to a ledge carried a high probability of failure to have the character make the appropriate jump. Hit boxes and clipping of the environment were common. The underwater section betrayed this shortcoming. Dying occasionally for seemingly no reason. The issues just pile on. The platinum itself was not very hard, just prolonged by the kill trophies, since most of the game is easiest when played using the Stun gun. Also, beating the game by myself in co-op was an added frustration. Helios-1 was brutal to play on two controllers. Glad that is over. Popular Post StraightVege
PlatinumUnlock all trophies #221 (4.12% Ultra Rare) Developed by a small team formed during a Swedish game design program, Defunct is a unique hybrid of racing and action-adventure/platformer, with some similarities to 3D Sonic titles, but built around using momentum. It's the story of an endearing sentient robot on wheels, who can barely move anymore, due to a defective engine. On the way to a repair station, they accidentally get discarded from their mothership among the trash, and crash-land on an Earth now devoid of humans. The goal of the game is simple: catch up to and board your ship again, by efficiently using a variety of interesting terrain to maintain high momentum, while doing a bit of exploration and collectible hunting in the process. I would say there's a nice message here about overcoming one's disabilities, too. Since the malfunctioning engine is nearly useless, the player must come to grips with building speed by "gravitizing" on downhill slopes, while occasionally magnetizing to walls/ceilings, and eventually boosting with collectible energy bottles. Using gravitize on flat ground or uphill only slows you down, so it takes time to get into the habit activating the ability at the right moments, rather than thinking of it as an acceleration button. An indicator light on the robot's back tries to inform the player of the current terrain type, but I was usually too busy looking at the path ahead to pay much attention to it. Friction also matters, so double-jumping to stay airborne over flats and hills is necessary to maximize speed. The learning curve is steep, and I honestly wasn't enjoying the game early on, but it became a truly delightful and exhilarating blur once I finally got comfortable with the mechanics. There are a few minor technical issues to mention: in story mode, the frame rate slows to a crawl as you transition between areas, and the camera can clip through the environment at times, which is disorienting. In time trial mode, sometimes two music tracks play on top of each other. Really nothing that takes away from the enjoyment, however. I'm average at racing-style games, and typically don't play them, but Defunct is easily one of the best indie titles I've played. The game is a wonderful hidden gem, and an amazing value when it's on sale—I picked it up for only 44 cents! Freshly Squeezed clearly does impressive work, so I'm hoping for a sequel or similar game. I'd like to see them focus even more on speed next time, with less bottleneck sections to impede the player. It's also one of my most challenging platinums! Finishing story mode without dying is very doable (I've uploaded my run here), but the main attraction of this game is the excellent time trial mode: only with mastery of the mechanics, and properly planned level routing to grab the speed and time orbs, will you achieve the tight platinum times. Quite a bit of practice was required. Popular Post madbuk
#345 - LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues Having already played this before, I went into it knowing what to expect and I think overall I enjoyed it more now that I already knew each hub was an entirely separate thing and progress isn't shared between them at all (outside of red/green/blue bricks.) Unlike last time where I did all 30 story levels and then went back and did all of the clean-up afterwards, I tackled each hub area one at a time before moving on and enjoyed it a lot more than leaving everything until after the story is done. I actually quite like the concept of each hub being comprised of several puzzles, where you can only solve one or two at the start, but those unlock more characters/vehicles so you can start doing the other puzzles scattered around too. It's a gameplay loop that the other games don't really attempt, as they just have one large overworld where once you've unlocked the necessary characters (usually accomplished just by finishing the story) you can just do anything anywhere which trivializes a lot of the puzzles in those games. From the very little I've seen, LEGO Movie 2 actually kind of reminds me of this but for the entire game. Maybe I should try it at some point.

Story was great, OST was even greater. It has a great fast travel system, it keeps records for everything (unlike Memories of Celceta) and it doesn't waste your time with grinding. Just playing the game provides you everything. Platinum took me 2 playthroughs and around 60 hours (second pt i ran from everything because i was already level 99). Popular Post linkdevivo
#177 Death Stranding Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty 4/10 I was sure i wasn't going to like this game. Seeing reviews and reading the words walking simulator, boring, tedious, etc. really put me down on the game, but decided to play it anyway. While the beginning I continuously felt these things, for some reason i couldn't stop playing. I don't know what was it, maybe the weirdness of it all. After finishing it I had already 45 hours on it so I went for platinum which took me up to 90 hours. It's not perfect but i like how different it is. The graphics are hands down the best i've ever seen on console. Glad it's over, but sad it's over. it's weird.

Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #410: Difficulty: 1.5/10 Playtime: 5-6 hours Enjoyment 6/10 Decent little adventure game here, but nothing spectacular. Lots of mellow autumnal Twin Peaks-ish small town atmosphere (indeed; the game's collectible trophies take their name from TP) brought to life by crisp and inspired visuals and a requisite smooth jazz score. The writing is rote and basic, and never really manages to reach its potential in any of the various avenues it decides to pursue. This, predictably, results in a middling tonal mess. The protagonist is a forgettable G. Threepwood/G. Stobbart hybrid with a twist of B. Bernoulli. You know the type. The story also quickly derails into interdimensional travel type stuff in which I have little interest. For what it's worth, they are able to spin it into something surprisingly emotional, but the tone is so inconsistent it fails to really deliver. The best thing in this game is a nameless backpacker with surprising amounts of character depth for a mostly comedic adventure game. Would have liked to see more of her. Oh, and there's some funny stuff regarding a, err, "massage rod." They missed a trick by not letting you show that one off to the citizens of Trüberbrook to gauge their undoubtedly hilarious reactions! In fact, I would have liked some more character and world interactions as a whole. That's the bread and butter of a good adventure game; a nice story is appreciated, but ultimately a secondary concern. All in all, a pretty forgettable adventure lacking in ambition and verve. It has its charms, though. And I'll definitely be stacking it down the line. Yessir, it's a vacation just good enough to be worth a second go sometime.
