Popular Post Copanele
No. 74 : Bayonetta Platinum Name : Acquire all Trophies Platinum rarity : 9.52%(Very Rare) Hardest Trophy : Legendary Dark Witch - complete all chapters on NonStop Infinite Climax Difficulty : 5/10 (mostly because you can't see much stuff on the PS3 version) Personal impression : 7/10 Bayonetta is an odd game. I was initially excited about this game, mainly because it had fast action paced gameplay, corny cutscenes, director was Hideki Kamiya and well...look at Bayonetta :3 However 3 missions later the issues started to appear : poor graphics (PS3's port fault, not the game's) were subpar and couldn't keep up with the mad action on the screen, the first fight against Fortitudo (a huge ass dragon) was awesome but it got ruined by the worst random QTE in a videogame ( PRESS SQUARE ELSE---never mind you died). The final boss was also one of the most "i didn't really have fun" bosses in videogames. The game is not that bad however. Combat is still hella solid, Rodin and Jeanne (and to some extent Luka) are enjoyable side characters and the soundtrack is stellar. It's just ... the bad details of this game made me not want to play the ps4 release. No interest in Bayonetta 2 either. Sorry, a pretty butt can't entirely save a game. I'll add a more in-depth review on my trophy checklist section.

Popular Post IntroPhenom
Platinum #52 Deponia Deponia unlocked! Current rarity: 58.04% Enjoyment: 5/10 Had fun this this one, but not an abundance of it. One or two nonsensical puzzle solutions and a bit too much sophomoric humor for my liking. Not sorry I played, by any stretch, but I hope future installments of the series (of which I have one in my backlog) strike a louder chord with me. Kudos to the chorus dudes, though. They ended each chapter with a fun ditty and, as the third verse suggests, they do rule.

Popular Post Pershing24
Last two of the Year #54 I Am the Night TellTale's Batman: The Enemy Within The first TellTale game I've played since the company when down under, and one of their last. Batman had many incarnations, and this is definitely not the worst, nor is it the best. While I do like the bigger rogue gallery in this game, including Amanda Waller (from Suicide Squad), but I feel like the story could have been told better than what it was. Like why was Bruce Wayne chosen to go uncover is just nonsensical, and the Joker's inevitable downfall to villainy just gave the game a flase sense of tension. Then again, this is just an illusion of choice like most TellTale game and so getting the Platinum is as easy as giving Harley Quinn a Brooklyn accent. #55 The Reincarnation of a Sinner Dying: Reborn Well there's definitely a pattern here, the faster the Platinum, the worst the game is, and Dying: Reborn is even worst than Terminator Salvation. This "horror" game is hardly a challenge, yes I used a walk-though guide to quickly 100% it but I really didn't wanted to deal with all those confusing puzzles, and to be honest, I don't know what I was expecting when I recently bought this game on PSN Store. I can tell you that it wasn't worth a penny. The story makes no sense, the game wasn't scary at all (mainly cause of the lack of tension and awful voice acting) and with only 6 levels, this game is way too short. Yeah its a easy platinum, but you'll never want to call someone 'Fish-head' again after playing this game. Popular Post Redgrave
#166: Dancing All Night - Persona 4 Dancing All Night Maybe it's because I played Persona 3 Dancing first but I felt like I had an easier time with this one despite me not really being good at rhythm stuff. Sure the support items helped but I didn't always have them. Either way I enjoyed the remixes that were in this one. This one I think was my favorite one ? Spoiler I could just be biased because I like Naoto
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#264: Platinum Acorn Alright, another Ice Age platinum, and a PAL-exclusive one too! Just one more, and I'll have the full Ice Age set. Gotta say, while these games aren't glorious game changers, I really do like them. They aren't cheaply made with no thought or effort put into them, there's solid visuals, solid game-play, a few cut corners here and there in the sound and visual department, but still made people who said "alright, let go for a solid grade of B". I actually had alot of fun with both of them, and I hope that continues on with the PS4 game. #265: inFamous Platinum Trophy I got 'er done, and it weren't that bad. But still, like with Festival of Blood, It's just the little things that keep me from loving this game; I am validated in my beliefs that the enemies in this game are cheap as hell; dying only when they feel like even if you unload a electrical plants worth of energy into them, the way they can be well off your radar map and line of sight and STILL manage to snipe you, (not helped by the fact that because everything's a dull gray color it becomes hard to pick them out without also arriving at deaths door). But the worst thing for me, is the game litters the screen with special affects and particles, but never once though to give a helpful HP bar or anything related to help gauge how a fight is going. The characters? Probably the BIGGEST missed opportunity. So, at the time of release, Infamous' selling point was the choice system, where you could mold Cole into the person you want him to be. And yet, despite the game giving you numerous opportunities to be a boy scout or a jerk, Cole somehow manages to have little to agency of his own in the long run. There is a moral choice late in the game, a rather notorious one (and I know YOU know which one I'm talking about) that really sums up how wasted this idea was, and one that ultimately destroys any illusion of choice you may have had up to this point. The supporting cast doesn't help either; When they aren't just being vehicles for the plot, they are either plain forgettable or annoying gits. But damn it, i cannot say no to this gameplay. It's as fun as it ever was run and jump and explore the city, and while the combat isn't my favorite, I sure loved it when I got into a groove of shootin' shit. The annoying aspects get a pass from me because I KNOW it gets better in later entries. The story, while not bad, is a missed opportunity, mostly because I'm not a fan of how it was told. It's played as a comic of sorts, with Cole narrating everything. While this can work if done right, here it becomes a matter of telling and not showing. I knew this games' twist a long time ago, but still I was kinda invested when it came up. However, I couldn't really commit to it because the whole time I was thinking "Wow, this would hit me so much harder if I wasn't being told the obvious, and instead was watching the emotions play out in the character. But then again, being a 2009 game, which means stilted robotic models, I know why they didn't. So yeah, I definitely will play through 2 now, not only to have a full Infamous platinum set, but to close this chapter on a franchise that maybe I could have gotten into in another life. #266: King of Iron Fist It's Tekken. An easy peezy breezy game. Sure Tekken Bowl sucked, but hey, once you've done it once, you ain't gotta do it again. I probably have alot more to say about Blood Vengeance than this game.
Popular Post Larzz
Platinum #58 Assassin's Creed Syndicate I love a good Ubisoft-open-world-box-check-collectathon from time to time and AC Syndicate scratched that itch perfectly. Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Not quite as good as the later entries in the series, but still enjoyable and has some of the most hilarious private action scenes (especially with Welch). Popular Post CrimsonMercury
#11 : A Way Out I honestly wasn't expecting much from this game, but it absolutely blew me away. This is definitely one of the most amazing games I've ever played in my entire life. My partner and I finished it in one sitting and we had a blast! I just feel that everything from the combat to the storytelling was done perfectly. The way the two characters develop a bond throughout the game is phenomenal and over time you really start to get attached to them. The action scenes were amazing and it kind of reminded me of Uncharted with the way they played out. We were always at the edge of our seats and never got bored at any point. Difficulty wise, it's really not hard apart from being asked to mash the square button really fast at some instances. Every trophy is extremely fun to do and adds to the experience like all trophies should. Overall this game is a masterpiece imo and it just shows that indie games should never be overlooked as they can be some of the best games you'll ever play.
