Popular Post Bumperklever
#107 Batman: The Enemy Within (PS4) I Am the Night Date Achieved: 19 December 2019Rarity: Common (71-72%)Enjoyment: 7.5/10 So, 2 years after I played the 1ste TT batman game, I finished the second one. While I don't remember too much of the first, I knew it was kinda dark and also hold a lot of plot twists. 1 thing I love about both is that the narrative is non-canon made and therefore is kinda ' new' to experience. This one is in my book more 'original batman' based, mainly due to the main roll of the joker. While the story is as fluent as they can get, what I missed in this version were the good twists of the first version. But still, loads of great memarable characters all in a diverent jacket. And this version of the Joker is stupidly likeable, due to how the story revolves around him.

Popular Post Mikel
#200 ~ Kingdom Hearts III KINGDOM HEARTS III Complete Master Unlock all other trophies. Having played the Kingdom Hearts franchise since I was 11 (and this was a month prior to my 12th birthday), I grew to love the franchise thanks to its gameplay and the mix of Final Fantasy and Disney characters in one game. This led to me getting into the series and picking up its sequels and remasters (namely the ones that are on PlayStation consoles). As much as I enjoy the game to my heart's content, there were a few things that bothered me about it such as, for instance, the initial lack of Final Fantasy characters (aside from the Moogles) at launch, but that will finally be rectified when Re:Mind is released next month, where I will definitely dive back in to the world of Kingdom Hearts and complete the game's story once and for all! Popular Post Jiano_Vera
Platinum ? So much for platinum 100 being Super Meat Boy ? I did intended on having 100 be SMB but my wife accidentally started this game thinking it was her account. Since I wanted 100th to be "special" lmao, I thought, ohh what the hell, 100 would be something the love of my life picked! Also, it also has the honor of being my first musical platinum! I didn't play this on PS1, so I don't have nostalgia for this game, but I had a pretty good time with it (except for Stage 4, the timing for pressing buttons in tune with the meter is slightly off and it took me awhile to adjust). The songs are pretty clever and catchy, my personal favorite was Prince Fleaswallow's song, it had that mellow reggae rap style! Trophy-wise, it's pretty easy, but one trophy did glitch on me: Remix Edition. I ended up having to re-play it after clearing the game data, and luckily it popped after finishing the last stage! I recommend this for anyone who wants a quick platinum and for anyone who likes music games! Popular Post Justin__Harris
? Completion: The Playroom (PS4) Game Score: 6/10 Completion Difficulty: 6/10 Platinum #62: The Playroom VR (PSVR) Game Score: 7/10 Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 So I was nearly complete with Astro Bot Rescue Mission, and then I read that the astro bots are characters from the freebie AR/VR title The Playroom. So naturally, I had to finish these games first since they're in the same universe as the full Astro Bot game. Both Playroom games feature some fun party type of games, which made it enjoyable when I did get some friends to help me out with trophies. But in the case of The Playroom, they have a Ninja Bot DLC trophy that's just incredibly difficult if you're doing it on your own. There was one trophy where you needed to kill every single ninja. And sometimes now matter how prepared you were, no matter how much you swiped the touch pad, things would fuck up and you'd have to start over. That's as simple as pausing and hitting restart, right? No. In their infinite wisdom, they decided the only way you can restart is by going back to the main menu, re-selecting the game, and reading the intro text and going through the motions of getting your ninja bot ready. And you'd have to do this when you failed. Every. Single. Time. Made the experience very irritating. Ultimately, The Playroom VR is a pretty fun entry for starter VR play. It even features a preview level of Astro Bot Rescue Mission to give people a taste of the full title. Ultimately, I found these games fun, but some of the trophies were a bit too difficult, especially because of reliance on things like the poor DualShock 4 motion controls. Worth a look, but that's about it. --- Platinum #63: Astro Bot Rescue Mission (PSVR) Game Score: 8/10 Platinum Difficulty: 4/10 This game was certainly a treat and a nice showcase on the type of games that can work very well on PSVR. The issues this game has is the same as every platformer. Even with the ability to float, your jumps would sometimes just not land where you swear you're aiming at. For the most part, response and tracking work well on this game. But every now and then, it just made some levels and challenges unnecessarily difficult. Even so, this is a very charming game with a lot of fun collectibles and challenges that make it a premiere title for the PlayStation VR and one that I recommend playing if you get the chance to.

Popular Post MMIB99
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider - Truest Self It took me long enough. I actually had a lot of fun with this one. I like this game a lot, having fully upgraded powers and auto regenerating energy absolutely made for a different kind of experience. One contract didn't unlock the first time, which was quite frustrating, and the final level can get pretty boring when replayed several times. But I will without a doubt recommend this game for any Dishonored fans.
Popular Post Kristycism
Never posted thoughts on the last couple of games, so here we go. Will just put things in spoiler tags to avoid having a massive post. #120 - Resident Evil Platinum Splattin' 'Em! Time to Plat: 35-45h (hard to tell, I restarted a lot) Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 (first playthrough) Spoiler So...shame on me, but I'd never actually played a Resident Evil game before I started this (where have I even been, right?). I had no idea what they even were like, believing them to be nothing more than mindless zombie shooters, because I'd seen the movies that were based on them, and they're just some chick in tight clothing shooting a lot. Shooters aren't really my thing, so I'd just shoved the game deep into the backlog section of "it's there but I'll probably never play it." However, when deciding on a game to start for Halloween, the lovely @B1rvine kindly corrected my misconceptions on the series, and sold me on the solid puzzle elements of this entry, so I decided to finally pick up the game. And boy, I'm glad I did! What a great game! Now, I love point-and-click adventure games for the puzzle elements, and putting things together and trying new things to work out a way forward through the levels. To me, and I may get some disagreements on this, RE1 was like a more interactive version of those games, where you move the character instead of just clicking the screen. In easier difficulties, the zombies were just a minor inconvenience for the most part, since ammo was plentiful and you could easily take down any zombies near you came across....until part way through the game, when they started coming back to life, clearly pissed off that I'd just shot them. I didn't realise Crimson Heads were a thing on my first playthrough since I'd never played the games before...boy was I in for a shock when I went from "pffft these zombies are useless, BANG BANG! Moving on..." to "WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY ALL SO MEAN TO ME!?!?" literally everywhere since I didn't burn any of them... I should really have paid more attention to that note that warned me...I read it, but didn't fully comprehend the consequences of ignoring it. So I ended up starting the game over, and taking care to burn the fuckers next time around (or avoided them altogether, since it's quite easy to bait out attacks and then run around them). That crimson-headed surprise aside, the first playthrough of the game was really great, exploring the mansion and finding ways to open each of the rooms that had been locked before. After the Residence it becomes a little more linear, since you've already explored everywhere so much, you know where you have yet to explore. But it still works well and lets you know you're getting there. But then come the other playthroughs to get the Plat. The game was great on the first run because you were solving things. I was disappointed that there was almost no difference between Jill and Chris (besides needing to head to a Storage Box much more), and it's basically the exact same game a minimum of four times. That was just...not fun. I ended up just following speedrun guides for them all to get it done sooner, as it was very tedious to keep doing the same thing. That was, until Invisible Enemies mode. That was...tense. I mean, it was more annoying than scary (especially against the Cerberus...screw that), but I still crapped myself on a couple of occassions when I'd forgot there was a zombie in the room and it got me. I do kind of like the idea of it, though I'm not sure I'd want to do it again as it was really annoying to get through the game on that mode. I did, however, make it worse for myself by deciding to do the knife-only run at the same time because I wanted to avoid another playthrough...that was a mistake. I'd probably have saved time doing two runs instead of constantly having to restart when I messed up. But whatever. One thing I will say though, that made the Platinum journey more worthwhile, is that the letter from the Devs right at the end (idk if you get it from doing Invisible enemies, or each character twice or what, since both happened at once for me) with the bonus concept art was a really nice touch. It's just a little thing, but I wish more devs would do something like that. Anyway, tl;dr I'm sold on the series now after all these years, and look forward to playing the rest of the games in the future. #121 - Final Fantasy VII Gaia's Guardian Time to Plat: ~15h Difficulty: 1/10 (with God mode and 3x Speed, because I'd played the game multiple times before) Spoiler Since the addition of the Series feature to PSNP, I felt like I had to start playing the rest of the FF games in my backlog, to complete the series more, since it's one of my all-time favourites. FF7 as well, was one of my favourite games when I was younger, I was absolutely in love with the world and the characters. Playing it now all these years later, it's not...quite as good as I remembered. We'll ignore the graphics, since that's just a sign of its age and not the quality. But the characters are a lot more bland and stereotypical than I remember them being, with no depth to most of them. And the plot is just...bizarre and full of holes that I didn't notice as a kid. I guess a lot of that can also be written off as part of the times, since the other games that came out in that era were even worse in terms of the lack of character development and the plots. At least FF7 had some twists and turns, which is unusual for the era. The battle system still holds up enough, I think, unless you play with God mode on, which just ruins the challenge (but, I'd done everything in the game, including the fights against the Weapons, before a few times over, so I didn't feel the need to do it again since I was playing purely to have the Plat on my games list). But the rest of it...isn't as good as my nostalgia remembers it being. That said, I still love the game, and I'm 100% buying the remake when it comes out. Though if Cloud doesn't get to wear a sexy dress in the Don Corneo scene, I promise you right now I will start a riot. #122 - Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Agito Achieved Time to Plat: ~35h Difficulty: ~3/10 Enjoyment: 2/10 Spoiler Another game that I'd started purely because I wanted to work on the FF Series now that the Series feature has been added to PSNP. I hadn't actually played this one on the PSP, so this was a new experience for me. It was not an enjoyable one. I started out the game full of enthusiasm, doing all of the side content I could and talking to all of the characters in the free time between missions to increase my understanding of the world and its inhabitants. That enthusiasm was quickly killed by the tedium of this game. I wanted to like it, I really did, but there were just too many negative points and not enough positive ones: Getting to places was just annoying. Everything was spaced so far apart that it took forever to get from A to B. And the journey there was tedious as well. Either you burn through your stock of chocobos and it's basically a long run through a bland landscape to each mission/side mission with nothing in between or you deal with random encounters against the same enemies over and over, just reskinned for each area, which provide no challenge since you return to full health between each encounter. Then once you've completed your mission, you have to manually travel all the way back since there's no auto-return function. The way there starts to become less tedious further on into the game when you can use the Airship, but the return journey remains tedious the whole way through. Missions themselves are just the same thing over and over with little variation besides the HP of the enemies. It's just going through areas that look exactly the same, taking out whatever you come across. There are a couple of boss fights that do change things up slightly, but you can still trivialise them by either over-levelling or using a long range character and just spamming attacks unless you're about to get hit. The characters have so little personality and there are just too many to keep track of. The girls are either badass character, sweet and simple character, or in Queen's case, smart character with no real personality. The boys have more variation, but they're still just stereotypes whose personalities can be summed up in one word each. The battle system is too easy. In the overworld, you fully heal after each battle, so there's no risk. In the missions, you can just stand still for a few seconds between each area to fully recover your health. This makes things far too easy since it doesn't really matter how well you perform. If you use long-range characters, this is even more apparent, since you can just spam attacks, you'll win, and then you can just stand around to heal if needed. Similarly on the battle system, the kill sights are too easy to hit. Because there's no variation to enemy attacks as you go through the game, you quickly get used to the timing of each enemy compared to your favourite playable character, and you can insta-kill every single enemy you come across without ever getting hit. And no, you don't need any skill for this, it's just so easy to do. The plot is just repetitive the whole way through, until right at the end when it gets bizarre and nonsensical out of nowhere. It's a shame really, the setting of the game could have made for a much more interesting plot if they'd really wanted, and there were times when I thought it was going to get interesting. And then it didn't, and I just took down more bases again and not much else happened. So yeah...I'm sorry to say, this game was NOT for me. I think this is the first FF game I've actually disliked. The rest of them, even the ones that weren't very good, I never disliked, just...didn't like a whole lot. But this one, I will never touch again. Normally I play a game past the Plat if there's still more to do (hell, I even completed the Fishing log in FFXV), but I just can't bring myself to do the rest of this one. I usually wish that a game's trophy list encouraged you to do everything possible within the game, and this one had more that it could have made you do for the Plat, like doing the second playthrough for the true ending, or beat any of the secret bosses and stuff. But for once I'm glad I didn't need to do it all, as I think it would've broke me... Edited December 20, 2019 by Kristycism

Popular Post SteelFreaxx
#62 The King of Youshanding Earn every trophy. Thanks for playing! Fun game with good characters but has some issues, simple Dynasty Warriors-esque combat which does get repetitive, low enemy variety, serviceable story nothing crazy, small map so easy to navigate similar to Akiba's Trip but no loading between areas, game crashed on me once and there are quite a few spelling/text errors, all that being said i still enjoyed my time with the game the best parts are the characters and flashy finishing moves. If going for plat know that S ranks are time based and don't forget to water the tree after every mission!
