Popular Post Vanilla
178: prototype - 3.31% i don't feel like this game and its ultra rares deserve to be as rare as they are. I struggled with this when i played it years ago but replaying it now I just breezed through all the challenges and hard mode. the 53,596 kill trophy is like a 2 hour grind after youre done everything, not a long grind. It took me way too long to realize this but there's videos for the collectibles because without videos thats really the worst part of this platinum. Popular Post GT__Jedi
Plat #54: Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story The Completionist Honestly, I hated this game for the first day and regretted buying it (on sale), but by the 2nd day started getting into the game. Didn't use a guide so had to play through the game twice. Actually enjoyable and would like to play similar games in the future! A big thanks to @knoef_NL for an excellent guide to help me figure out what I did wrong! Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10
Popular Post Larzz
Platinum #61 Life is Strange: Before the Storm Although not as good as the first game, I still really enjoyed it. Platinum wise as easy as they come. ——————————————————————————————————————————- Platinum #62 Subnautica One of my favorite games of the past few years. Performance can be horrible at times and there are a lot of technical issues with the game, but despite that I enjoyed it immensely. I love immersive exploration games, especially if there’s gathering/crafting/building involved, so this was right up my alley. And it has a great, balanced trophy list. Not difficult, no bullshit collectibles, but you have to put in the hours. Highly recommended!

Popular Post Squirlruler
#77 God of War: Father and Son Many many people have already stated how awesome this game is. And they are not wrong. The Axe was great as a new weapon, and having Atreus that you can command definitely made things really fun. It was really useful to have him just kill the super weak enemies so you don't have to bother with them haha. I loved all the lore that was there. They did an incredible job with longer travel distances being not completely boring by having Mimir and Atreus chatting about different lore and what was happening in the world. That one feature was such a nice touch and definitely helped make traversing way less tedious. I absolutely loved the open world, with EVERYTHING being available for trophies post-game. This was so incredibly nice, not having to worry about a guide as I am playing through. Blind playthroughs are best playthroughs. They set it up for a sequel with Ragnarok, so I am absolutely looking forward to playing that when they release it. Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty : 3/10 Plat time: ~35 hours #78 Batman The Enemy Within: I am the Night A Telltale Batman game. Another one I really enjoyed, though I haven't played a TTG that I didn't enjoy. The story telling was great, I enjoyed the different takes on the characters they did, though, this is coming from someone who hasn't followed Batman/comic books in general at all. I used this game mostly to keep my trophy streak going. Expect more of these throughout the year as I try to keep my streak alive lol. Popular Post MooseSketts
Platinum #104 Paradox Soul As much as I don't care for Ratattack's publishing methods that doesn't mean I won't play some of 'em. I was thoroughly disappointed with this game's story. What the feck was up with that ending? I also can't stand it when main characters have a name, but their names are never mentioned in the game (unless I am blind which is completely possible)...
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#414 - We Happy Few This was a rough one and a stressful experience throughout the entire game. Chance for collectibles to glitch out, some being randomly generated and missable if you progress too far in the story. Now that's messed up. The game itself has a pretty good story, that's bundled with average gameplay elements, but at least the survival aspect is mostly optional. What kills this game, is the technical disaster it presents you with. Almost every two hours it crashes. Devs already said they don't know how to properly fix it on consoles. As such, what could've been a good game, becomes average at best. Enjoyment: 6.5 Difficulty: 4

Popular Post AccessEngage21
#122 Xenon Valkyrie+ A True Hero Difficulty: 10,5/10 ( a true hero indeed) Fun Factor: 10/10 (Fun and hard as hell) Rarity: 5.35% Time in Total: 1 Week, 2 Days So after technically beat Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth2 100% (i mean that because i still need the dungeon master trophy and good lord knows how painfully long is going to be, but it will happen!), i decide to going back to memory lane to rescue one of the two recent platinum i got this year, and what better way to start with the one i think is one of the most brutal plats i ever get. In general, is a rouge like rpg create by Diabolical Mind (the same ones that did Riddled Corpses EX, another favorite of mine this year) and is in line with other game i tent to like a lot, like Risk Of Rain, The Swindle, etc. So the point is, you choose one of the three characters (one extra if you do the lab) and up we go......then the game just goes to brutal mode, like i lost all the time when i start it, now thats normal for me, i lost in this type of game many time, accidentally break the controller in a state of rage, lament, and money to repair and goes back to try again (to be fair, Dark Souls II proves that point to me too......still plat it XP) with time and love (a lot) i manage to beat the game, with all three of them, and then the game goes again in witch mode to tell you that to beat fully the game you have to beat a dude in a bullet hell section out of nowhere and one shot one kill rule.......with a object that you must forge every single run you do if you lost, i was having natural doctrine vibes from this one (decent concept game, bullthing execution), then i try go with the other routes trophy, especially the Blackstorm Lab and the AI Mothership, they take me some time (days) but manage to get both with a little luck and that sword that launch projectiles (i dont remember the name ), then i try a few practice runs to the game when i decide to do the final boss again....1:10 AM man, me and the most biggest thermos with milk and coffee i ever prepare defeat the final boss and see the ending, pretty cool i must say, with pixel art graphics, decent soundtrack and gameplay, and legit fun, this game turns out to be one of my favorites this year, and with good reason, also the fact that is PSTV Compatible helps to that. now before i end this, i try to put some things to take in consideration if you want to give it a try to beat it. -When you level up in the game, you must end the stage first in order to put the points in some atribute you need in the tablet (HP,ATK,DEF or AMMO) -Try to level up defence before anything else, the enemies do way more damage the game, even in the first stages, give youself full defence first allows you have better survival factor in the next stages. -Beat the sub bosses when you have the chance and use the keys in the random chests in the levels, expecially in the first stages, a good sword and gun in the beginning, saves you a lot of time and effort in the next stages. -Go with calm, if you go in this game like a action hero (guns and swords blazing) you will die for sure, and remember, the guns need ammo, so dont waste it in enemies you can easily beat with your sword. -Dont Try any of the alternative paths until you have a general idea to how play the game, belive me, the game get more clear the more you play, and the extra stages (like the lab) are way long and chaotics to beat at first (also if you play the lab, only take the teleports with the single block each, they are the most easy to beat) -And finally, please see the final boss in youtube befere fight hin, the bullet hell stage was not a lie, and try to turn down the lights a little, that helps me to see the bullets better, also remeber to stay as much far of the boss as posible in order to predict the bullets pattern and give you time to dodge, and last, dont forget to mantain square to shoot, since the game has auto fire in that stage. so that is, despise my initials issues with the game (some crashings, there and there) pretty enjoyable retro game in general, i recommend it in a heartbeat. Popular Post Dr_Mayus
#280 and Ultra Rare K Game - Kingdom Hearts Re: Chains of Memories. OK...here we go. I started this game a year and a half ago for 2 reasons. 1. It was a Kingdom Hearts game that I had never played and 2. I was trying to platinum the Ultra Rare Alphabet and this was the only K game that I could see myself playing. Well I played it for about an hour...hated the battle mechanics and never went back to it. I have no idea what urged me to play it this month. I had a bunch of games lined up for my first plat of 2020 but for some reason I decided to play KH: COM again...and I STRUGGLED through that first playthrough...but then I read some guides...and some more guides...and something clicked. I figured out how the battle system worked and it became almost too easy...still sucked...but it worked at least. That meant I could play through my next 5 playthroughs with little problems and what do you know I actually enjoyed the game a little. The story wasn't terrible, wasn't great, but wasn't terrible and the battle mechanics were still not great but I could at least beat the game with them. (trust me this is higher praise than it seems). Then the rest of the platinum happened. SE went stupid with these requirements and I can see why this game is an Ultra Rare plat (when no other trophy is Ultra Rare). It is because people might have the energy to do one stupid trophy but not enough to do the rest...if that makes sense. 500 deck edits...I might have done 20 legit deck edits in the whole game. Create 300 unique rooms (this may come naturally while grinding out the rest of the stuff but probably not), store 10,000 moogle points (I hate games that encourage you not to spend the currency), spend 20,000 moogle points (well now you have obviously beaten the game by the time you get to 20,000 so you are just buying for the sake of buying), get to level 99 twice (I beat the game on proud at level 32...so this was a huge fucking grind), find one of every card (the only way to do this is for enemies to be the last one on the battlefield and to randomly drop it), beat the game 6 times (if I can beat it on Proud why do I have to beat it on beginner and standard as well) and so forth. So at the end of the day this game wasn't as bad as I originally though but MAN did Square drop the ball on this one.
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #460: Difficulty: 3.5/10 Playtime: 3 to 3 1/2 hours Enjoyment: 5/10 Cheap and quick retro platformer without much to offer the world. There's nothing new under the sun here that other (and better) games don't do better. Moreover, you can actually get stuck in a level due to a lack of the javelins you need to use to create your own platforms. A bafflingly poor design choice. The platforming could have been fun if the hitboxes were more dependable. The same applies to fighting enemies. It suffers from poor balancing: it's just a little too unforgiving to be fun without the upgrades, and the fights become a dull formality with them. Oh, and don't make the same mistake I did and play it on the Vita. Not only does it load at a snail's pace, but every now and then, it can freeze or skip for an instance, sending you plummeting to your death at inopportune moments. I can't speak as to the quality of the PS4 version but it had better be an improvement as I already have the HK stack ready to roll. Oh, and while I can't really pin this one on the game itself, I could have saved me some good time on farming coins and treasures if the guide on this very site had specified you get more than enough just going through the game (like, an obscene amount of now mostly-useless treasure) so you really can get one of the upgrades at the earliest opportunity and still get enough for the trophy later. The way it is phrased now it seems like buying anything at all is a platinum death sentence. If my tone comes off as negative and dismissive it's because it was well earned. If you aren't in it for the trophies, these lazy, unambitious, and plain inept devs don't deserve your time or money.

Popular Post Gommes_
#105 Samurai Shodown After almost 3 months of not playing any games I decided to jump in again with a rather short but fun game. I like this franchise since I've played it for the first time on the SNES and even bought the original for the PS3. The one for the PS4 is a good game which looks beautiful but the loading time are atrocious! They take longer than the actual fights. The funny thing is that the ingame time counter substracts them. According to the game I got the platinum in 6 hours and 41 minutes while I was actually playing for like 8,5 hours (counting without breaks and stuff). Anyway, really good fighting game which I will still play.

Popular Post Justin__Harris
Platinum #64: Ratchet & Clank (PS4) Game Score: 8/10 Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 Getting the year started with a leftover from last. It took me awhile, but I finally got around to playing the Ratchet & Clank reboot. I remember playing the original on PS2 and it felt right at home playing this updated version. It's a blast to play. All of these games are. They're just fun, little adventure games that aren't too difficult. The platinum is a bit grindy, but really not all that much. You can blast right through the story and needed upgrades in Challenge Mode fairly quickly. I'm wondering if Insomniac will make a follow-up to this for PS5, but with Spider-Man 2 almost certainly on the way for next-gen, it doesn't seem likely it'll come from them. Anyway, this is a solid game that can be enjoyed and platinum'd without any real hassle.

Popular Post SoapMacTavish222
#351 Star Wars The Force Unleashed for PS3. I started this game a long time ago and only now got around to finishing it. The story is pretty good but the game is kind of short. With Lord difficulty is a real kick to the face in a few parts and some of the force ability trophies that require you to kill at least a certain amount of enemies can get a bit grindy. But overall a pretty solid game that I enjoyed.
