Popular Post starcrunch061
Plat #372: Xenon Valkyrie+ A True Hero Unlock all trophies in Xenon Valkyrie+ This was simply the best $1.99 I've ever spent on a game. Xenon Valkyrie delivers the goods, providing both fun and challenging gameplay. Solid on all fronts: nice control, great tunes, nice graphics. Bosses provided a variety of battle scenarios, and even the ending was satisfying. I recommend it on sale, and honestly, I might not have been sad had I paid the full $9.99 for it (knowing that I would get both the PS4 and Vita versions).

Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #485: Difficulty: ? Playtime: 7 to 15 minutes Enjoyment: 6.5/10 Welp, roll over and play dead, Jack and Jill, because there may well be a new contender for Easiest and Fastest Platinum of All the Times! I won't count Slyde--though objectively both faster and easier--because I only include games that are easy going in blind in this discussion. Yes indeed, platinum pupper Milo's quest through what can only be Box Land from the game of the same name, is as easy as it gets. You can even turn off the puzzles once you've completed one if you care to. You go around collecting keys and killing ghosts (again) to progress, unlocking various upgrades around the way. There's even a stamina bar, so yes, this is the easiest Soulsborne game of all time as well. Honestly, though... it's a pretty good game in its own right, trophies bedamned. The sense of progression is near-constant, and the brisk pace ensures it never really becomes dull. It's got way more content to offer once you've finished getting the platinum, and I've got angles on maybe doing the full thing someday if I have the time. Good boy!
Popular Post ZoutjeNL
Platinum #22 Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! Enjoyment: 9 Difficulty: 2 After playing the first one a couple months ago I was excited to play the next one! The first one was already great but the 2nd one improved on the original in my opinion. The music, the different level designs, the different objectives to obtain the orbs. It was a blast from beginning to end, just a stress free relaxing experience that I don't experience often these days. Another improvement compared to the first is that the 3 flying levels felt way easyier than the ones in the first game. I probably save the third one for later between some harder games. Highly recommended. Definitely worth 20 bucks during a sale as each game takes about 10 hours each.

awf9495
Minecraft PS4 Edition - #101 I had no intention of ever stacking platinums on my account, but at the behest of someone close to me, I started a couple of co-op games with them that I had previously completed on the Vita (Salt and Sanctuary being the other). Being that we never have time to play together, these games just mocked me on my profile with their big red E rankings, so I went ahead and platinumed both. I feel kind of bad about doubling up, but they were both start-from-scratch playthroughs so I put in the effort. As for Minecraft itself, I had a lot of fun revisiting the game. I was surprised at how many DLC packs have been added and I will likely still be checking out the new content for the next week or two (aka the search for the elusive pandas begins). As for the trophies, they are glitchy as hell in Bedrock. Had to go back to Editions for The Haggler and Overkill, even though in Bedrock I had over a stack of emeralds and was killing zombies and skeletons in one hit for Overkill. Still, I loved Minecraft on the Vita and I still love it on the PS4.

Sagaan
#146 - Heavy Rain Dang the story was really dope in this game. I never thought dat scot is the killer . Only 1 trophy was a bit anoyin and dat was the kamikaze trophy. But after some tries i got it. I followed the guide here for the perfect crime trophy. Rest is easy via chapter select . Popular Post VoxAnimi
Platinum 34- Lone Survivor (PS4 edition) True Survivor Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment:8.5/10 Lone Survivor is a phenomenal horror game that manages to convey a tense atmosphere effectively. I have played it a couple of years ago, but felt compelled to revisit it recently for various reasons. I must say, it is a decision I will not regret. In terms of the game itself, its strengths are primarily from its soundtrack (I enjoyed the song they used in the trailer for instance- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fai0lkxf9FA), the atmosphere as it excelled in conveying it to the point where I genuinely experienced tense moments while maneuvering my way around the enemies, the plotline even if it isn't coherent initially (I liked the psychological aspects such as the endings being effected by certain actions you did such as helping or tormenting certain individuals or maintaining your sanity by consuming certain foods.), the enemy designs, and its pixelated art style. My complaints are relatively minor, but the map system took some adjusting to get comfortable with as I got lost initially a few times, and I would have liked a bit more content as the game itself is pretty short. This doesn't detract from my enjoyment significantly of course, but they are relevant points I thought about it in retrospect. The trophies themselves may seem daunting from first glance, but there is a wonderful walkthrough to supplement it from both this site and .org. I liked how they encouraged the player to engage in several of the side tasks. I personally also liked the more challenging trophies like not using any bullets in one playthrough, thus encouraging the player to be more stealthy in their approach as opposed to eradicating all the monsters in the general vicinity with your pistol . The different endings also provided incentive to replay it as there were noticeable differences, but it felt slightly tedious to lower my mental health from the white save playthrough to receive the blue ending. Overall, I will remember this as a fond and unique experience. My next platinum trophies will ideally be Tron: Evolution and Shadow of the Colossus before proceeding to start some newer titles. Popular Post MidnightDragon
#54 Dragon Age: Origins This is one of my favorite RPGs of all time. As many as I've played, that's saying a lot. Almost everything about it is awesome: the story, the characters, the setting. It's too bad that EA's claws are so deep into BioWare now. I would love a remaster on PS4 or PS5. The combat takes a bit getting used to and the story does start out a bit slow, but if you stick with it, it's well worth it. A few of the locations are a bit tedious (especially the Fade and Deep Roads), but don't let it throw you off. Some of the trophies suck (looking at you, Blight-Queller), but if you use a guide, it's nothing too difficult. Feel kind of sad the main journey is over, but there's still some DLC left for me to do. Edited February 11, 2020 by MidnightDragon

Popular Post SirDave1988
# 111 Uncharted Drake's Fortune Remastered (PS4) PlatinumEarn all Uncharted: Drake's Fortune™ Remastered Trophies Enjoyed going back to the origins of this series after first completing the original 5 years ago. Impressively, it still holds up even to this day, despite being 12+ years old at this stage. What really makes this remaster stand out is the 60fps it runs at. When you've been used to playing a 30fps God Of War (2018) for months, the smoothness which this runs at really stands out. Besides that, there isn't too much different compared to it's PS3 counterpart, aside from a few additions, such as new difficulty levels, photo mode and a few minor others. My goal this year is to beat my record total of platinums for a single year, which is 23. However it's already Feb 11th and I only have 2, so it's gonna be tough lol.

Popular Post FluffyAssassin64
#124 - Pyre "Herald of the Scribes" Earn all other trophies available in Pyre. I've played - and very much enjoyed - all of Supergiant Games' previous entries, and Pyre stands up there as a solid entry, while not quite reaching their heights. In particular, Transistor (the team's previous work) appealed to me more personally. That's not to say that Pyre isn't a great experience on its own though; the team's sense of style, artistic design, and voice and sound work remains rock-solid. I've got a few minor gripes, but it's still a lot of fun. Again, there's a lot to love with Pyre. The lore is surprisingly deep, and gave me (someone who absolutely loves reading in-game lore) a lot to savour and enjoy. Characters are all likeable (despite maybe a certain aristocratic tree), and the gameplay loop fits very well into the way you become attached to them. Even the villains are great! The set-up of the game is simple enough; follow the stars in a point-and-click adventure, while undertaking mini-soccer/football/netball (better comparisons???) battles along the way. Sounds simple, right? Well yeah, it kinda is, but the way the game develops over time kept me well and truly engrossed in what was going on. As expected in this style of game, there are ways to upgrade and augment your characters with various abilities, and team compositions further play into the game's variety. I've got to touch on the art style and design again though, because it truly is breathtaking. From environments, to character design, to something as 'simple' as the book in which you read the game's lore, Pyre is dripping with a unique and gorgeous look. I seriously can't commend them enough. Sounds all positive, right? Well yeah, I loved most things about Pyre for sure. There were a few issues I personally had, though. The 'overworld' (point-and-click) elements were fun, but very simple, and lacking in depth and variety. I also gradually grew tired of the 'main' game element of mini-soccer. Sure it was fun and engaging at first, but once certain strategies start to become clearly more viable, it's not as interesting imo. There are ways to modify it (from simple difficulty, to various 'modifiers'), but I felt that many of these just made the game more frustrating rather than more fun. I enjoyed the difficulty overall playing on 'medium', but the gameplay itself wasn't as engaging as something like Transistor (SG's previous entry). I had some issues with performance too; nowhere near as bad as Darksiders II which I also played recently (rip), but relatively-constant slowdown in a game like this isn't very good haha. By way of trophies, there are a few 'missable' ones depending on how you play, which characters you keep around, etc. My main tips would be to make sure you use every character at least a few times, use practice rites to go for some harder/more grind-intensive ones, and otherwise play at a difficulty that you find enjoyable, while still somewhat challenging. Considering you can earn a majority of the trophies on 'easy', most of this isn't too bad. However, there are some trickier ones involving the aforementioned 'gameplay modifiers' that require you to play on at least 'medium' so keep that in mind. Also, the few trophies to be earned in 'versus' mode really aren't that bad. The master-difficulty ones are a bit more tough, but if you use your knowledge of the game, and give yourself as many advantages (and your enemies, as many disadvantages) as possible, you'll be fine. Middling difficulty at best. Overall, I had a very good time with Pyre. The game's style, characters, lore and 'feel' kept me coming back for more. The gameplay loop (both aspects) were enjoyable enough, though a bit simple for my tastes. If you liked Supergiant's previous work, you'll fit right in again here. If not, you'll still have fun... but I might be more inclined to recommend Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales to you instead Game rating: 8/10 Plat difficulty: 3/10

Popular Post Masamune
Hardcore Gamer! Complete all other trophies. Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 Playtime: 113:35:50 (2 weeks, 3 days, 19 hours) Ah... I think that satisfied my Disgaea craving. Much like 3's Vita version, this was even better than the original, although the plat probably does take longer because you have to do 9-10 extra IW runs for the new R41 items added in it (an extra 6 hours, give or take). There's noting too difficult in this version, I took out Baal before I even made my capped equipment, there are some Pirates you have to hunt down for parts, but not a lot... more than anything, it's just grindy (which is what Disgaea is famous for). ? The most annoying trophies in it are for getting all equipment, ship parts, seeing all special moves (if you're lazy, the tier 7 & 8 skills can be gotten easily from using other user's characters in the Netherbattle Tournament ). This is what takes up a bulk of your time, but as long as you're keeping a list of what you need, you'll get through it eventually, some things definitely require some luck to get, but I've seen worse. While this is one of the toughest games in the series to plat, it's probably my favorite as well (good story/characters, & it has some of the best game mechanics in the series).
