Leon Castle
1 hour ago, BlinkWinkel said: Platinum #162 - Azur Lane: Crosswave I had high expectations since Compile Heart always makes really fun games, but they still managed to impress me! What a fun platinum!! The cutscenes are fully voiced, and there's a bunch of extra episodes to unlock and characters (64 characters in total, including Neptune!). Being able to marry girls that have max affection is pretty awesome, makes the grind much more fun and rewarding than the lily ranks in the Neptunia games. Really fun gameplay too, nothing too hard since the game can be platinumed on easy difficulty. The fun factor in this one is absolutely perfect! I just wish the game was longer, since I enjoyed every minute of it! Looking forward to watching the Azur Lane anime next month when it's done airing! Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 2/10 In case are you interested, there's 5 DLC characters coming some time in the future and like Neptune they might come with extra episodes Taihou (Aircraft Carrier) Formidable (Aircraft Carrier) Roon (Heavy Cruiser) Le Malin (Destroyer) Sirius (Light Cruiser)

Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #57 - LEGO Legends of Chima Triple CHI Legend - Collect all Trophies Enjoyment; 7/10 Difficulty; 2/10 Hype for my next LEGO game; 10/10 Six quid in a store for used games, so why not, right? The LEGO games on Vita are all upscaled version of 3DS titles - just another testament to how badly the Vita was treated by third parties - but they are fine little romps that don't require too much effort to Plat. They're on a much smaller scale than their console cousins too, and I think I actually prefer it this way as levels and puzzles are more bite-sized. Chima was an in house theme of building sets by LEGO about animal tribes fighting over unobtainium - I think I have a little promotional set of it lying around somewhere - with this game charting the journey of a group of assorted species saving their world. Standard stuff, really. Levels are good fun, voice acting is horribly cartoonish, but what blew me away was the soundtrack; it's almost awkwardly epic for a cartoony LEGO game and puts the scores of many AAA titles found on console to shame. Absolutely bizarre, but a nice surprise. Definitely recommend this if you have a Vita and some time to kill - or want to expand your LEGO collection (Chima is one of three LEGO titles, the other two being Ninjago games, that are handheld exclusive). Popular Post madbuk
#361 - Code: Realize - Wintertide Miracles A pretty disappointing and unnecessary followup to the previous game overall. The Christmas routes especially kinda undermine the point of one of the routes in the previous game, and offer absolutely nothing new or interesting. Triangle "dates" were kinda fun, especially the ones with the less used characters like Delly/Sisi/Hansel/Watson, and the other 3 routes were easily the best on offer. Cantarella's route was probably the most engaging overall but I have to question why, since it's supposed to take place during the original game, the events of it never get brought up in the original game at all. Because it was made up entirely for this game, sure, but it's such a big and noteworthy event that it doesn't really work since it's never mentioned afterwards. The special epilogues weren't particularly interesting either and again felt like retreads of plots they've already done several times by this point in the series. They've clearly ran out of any new ideas for the main cast, and if they ever decide to do a sequel I think it's time to either drop the romance angle entirely - like they did in Cantarella's route - or at least do it with some of the other characters instead of it being Lupin's crew every single time. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the end of the series, and it's a pretty low point to end it on considering only 3 of the routes (out of 8 - or 13 if you count special epilogues seprataely) are actually somewhat interesting. My next 4 planned visual novels (428 Shibuya Scramble, World End Syndrome, Robotics;Notes Elite, Robotics;Notes DaSH) aren't otome - or even romance related apart from WES as far as I know - so that should be refreshing, I don't know when I'll get around to them though.

Popular Post Masamune
The Legend of the X.R.C. Obtain all trophies. Difficulty: 5.5/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 Playtime: 73:38:34 (2 weeks, 3 hours, 33 minutes) Screenshot: Spoiler This was great, far better than I was expecting. The story had me interested in it the entire time (it's a lot like Persona 4), I don't think there was a single moment when I though "when is this guy going to shut up so I can get to the dungeon?". ? While I do prefer turn-based games to action ones, this got pretty fun once I started getting into it (think an action-based Trails of Cold Steel). I'm really hoping there'll be a sequel to this eventually (the game even hints at one a couple times)... if there is or isn't though, I think I need to start looking into more Falcom games, because it's a shame this has been out so long & I'm just now discovering it. As for difficulty, I did my first run on easy, & after getting a decent setup... I was basically invincible. ? My NG+ run was vastly different though, I decided to do both Calamity & Infinity mode in the same run (in hindsight, this may not have been the best idea), doing this lets most enemies take off 1-2K+ HP per hit, & bosses... yeah, a lot of them will one-shot you. If it wasn't for abusing Asuka's Omega Mode & having a nice stash of Elixirs, that would've been a real headache to do (I don't even want to think about how I would've beat After Story's final boss without Elixir spamming)... Even with the steep difficulty increase though, it was still quite fun. I'm trying to think of a con I can list for this game, but I honestly can't think of one. If you like either Persona, or ToCS (there's actually a lot of references from that game in this... hell, Towa is even in it), I'd highly recommend trying this out. Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #53 - DOOM II Difficulty Rating 9/10 Enjoyment Rating 8/10 Ultra Rare - 2.18% Fastest Achievers - #5 Okay, I shouldn’t have to explain what DOOM is to the likes of anyone, and if you don’t know what DOOM is then you’re dead to me. But it’s quite possibly one of the most important and influential games on the face of the planet. DOOM II is a lot like the first game, only with more demon types, an extra weapon and more complex level design (thanks John Romero ?). This means it sets out to do what the original accomplished and push the envelope ten fold. Very fond memories, this game. I can remember my original computer copy that came on six floppy disks. Nowadays, it’s a 10 second download to your PS4 ? But you’re not reading this for a DOOM II history lesson, you want the juicy platinum details, yes? Well, for one thing, you shouldn’t even consider a platinum like this one. It’s extremely difficult! But I’ve been playing DOOM religiously ever since the moment I could walk. There was no way in hell I wasn’t going to back down from a challenge like this one. This is a bold confession, but it might be my most favorite game of all time. Ultimate DOOM, DOOM II, Final DOOM or DOOM 64. As long as it follows the classic DOOM formula, I’m there. Platinum details, yes, let’s get into it. There is only one thing about this game that’s a literal platinum killer. You have to beat the game in split-screen co-op on Nightmare difficulty (no online here, folks). Yes, basically the same trophy found in DOOM (1993). But DOOM II has tougher enemies (and loads of them) on top of migraine inducing level design. You will be spending a great amount of time on each one if you’re planning on tackling this on your own with a idle second player. Do not attempt Nightmare in single player! I’ve tested this theory and it doesn’t work! The levels must be beaten thru split-screen! Things are also much harder after the new update. You can’t freeze pause in split-screen anymore to catch your breath. So how did I do it? Well, there is no cheese method. Skill is your greatest ally here. It helps to get a group of local friends together to help you tackle this challenge. I had to plan a day in specific to get three local friends to come over and keep demons distracted while I rushed through each level. But the help didn’t last forever. Eventually my pussy whipped friends had to return home to their nagging wives. They’ll never understand that breasts are temporary, but DOOM is eternal That being said, I am eternally grateful for them acting as moving targets while I pulled switches and collected keys. But when it came time to do Map 29: The Living End, the most dreadful level in the Nightmare run.. I was on my own. We attempted the level about four times. This is because the software kept crashing, the fourth time was a power outage. About a day later, I learned that weapon drops do not have a sprite limit.. meaning once there is sooo many shotguns and chainguns on the map, the software will crash. Sounds like a programming oversight, but with my newfound knowledge and determination.. I hopped back into Map 29: The Living End by myself, made a habit of picking up the weapons every so often and got the job done in about 35 minutes! It was never my skill that was holding me back but rather the software crashes. Sounds like the bungholes who made the trophy list didn’t even test play this Nightmare shit themselves >.> But I conquered the impossible and showed the ones responsible for this port just who they were dealing with! But trust me, this should never be done by one person! Unless you have some local friends willing to help or at least one other VERY dedicated person, you’re going to have a bad time. DOOM (1993) on Nightmare was a cakewalk compared to DOOM II. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Popular Post DamagingRob
#439- Erica That's a Wrap Unlock all bronze, silver and gold trophies. Mixed feelings on this one. It's alright for a playthrough or two... but not six of them! Really needed a fast forward option to speed through the things you'd already seen. It's not like the different choices radically alter things, anyways. You still will roughly follow the same path, and maybe get a slightly different ten second scene at the end. With a different little blurb of text before the credits roll. From reading some of the topics on here, I also started to feel like the plot has more holes than swiss cheese.. So, what is this? It's an FMV game, with a slightly unusual control scheme. You use the touchpad for all interactivity, unless you have a smartphone. I don't, so I couldn't try that. But the controls work well enough. You play as a young woman named Erica, who receives a box on her doorstep. And, well, inside is a Spoiler severed hand. After that, you're sent to live at a mental institution. I guess they think you'll be safe there, and your dad used to work there. Saying much more than this could spoil too much, and the story is really the only reason to play it. So I'll stop. I will say that it is something of a horror game, though. And there is a decent level of blood and gore. Not something to play if you're squeamish, especially since these aren't your typical 3D models, but instead real people and blood. It has six different endings, though. So, at minimum, you'll be watching the entire thing six times. And after that many repeated viewings, you may lose your damn mind. Platinum image: Spoiler Expect to see this with all your trophy images. Nothing pops until the credits start rolling. Mess anything up, and you'll be sitting through entire extra playthroughs. :/

Popular Post GTA_Darren
#269 - Dusk Diver - PS4 Incredible Taiwanese action adventure game, it is totally over my expectation. The battle is fun and interesting story. Trophy wise it is a little bit grind, need to get S rank on all missions in both Hard and Normal mode. However, once you are familiar with the battle system, it should not be an issue.

Popular Post Dr_Mayus
286-Murdered: Soul Suspect I kept seeing this game on sale for a couple of bucks and I kept hemming and hawing on buying it. Finally I was coerced into buying it by a certain forum member and I am glad I did. First off..the collectibles can go fuck themselves, I never understand why developers can't figure out how to implement these so you aren't forced to look at a guide every 5 seconds...seriously how hard is it. But as for the actual game I really enjoyed it. Not the greatest game ever made but a solid B+ game.
Popular Post TwilightSpira
PLATINUM 215 - LEGO : MARVEL SUPER HEROES After 5 years and a half, I finally decided to come back to the game and finish it. I was surprised by how much fun I had with it this time, I guess I wasn't that patient with collecting stuff back then. I won't lie trough the amount of collectibles, and characters are pretty overwhelming at times; nevertheless it does work with the overall feel of the game. I'll try other games from the LEGO series in the future.

Popular Post Carol
#182 Chaos;Child (Vita) Super-Perfectionist Mastered Chaos;Child I really enjoyed my time with this VN. It has been my night time companion for a while, since I've been reading a bit every night for the past two months. "Chaos;Child" has a very interesting story, with lots of intense and creepy moments. The murder scenes are totally grotesque and I appreciated them for their originality. Suspense is also always there. Most charaters are sweet and likeable. Unfortunately, towards the end, the story treats some of them in very cruel ways, which disappointed me a bit. Most VN's have a somewhat boring story, but when the end is approaching, it starts getting better. In "Chaos;Child" I felt that actually the opposite happened. The story is very tense and interesting, but the final chapters were a bit vulgar and nothing that big or surprising happened. I liked knowing each of the girls better, in their own chapters, and that each of them had an unique and original story to follow, different from The New Generation Madness killings main story. The true ending chapter, although not amazing, gives us some closure about what happened to the characters. Trophy-wise, there's not much to say. Being a VN, it obviously has easy trophies, but if you want to read everything properly, it definitely demands commitment, because it's pretty long.
