Popular Post Yoey_666
#345 - Just Cause 3 Despite some massive frame drops I really had a fun time with this game. It is always bad that you advertise a game with "you have never seen so much explosions" and the framerate drops hard with nearly every explosion, well.. Remember, cool guys don't look at explosions anyway.
Popular Post Darghel
#66 Platinum Columbia (Bioshock Infinite) Difficulty: Harder of the three games, especially because of 1999 mode. Time to Complete: took me about 2 playthroughs and a half so I'm guessing about 30-40 hours Recommended? Well...there's worse but there's also better? And with this, I've finally platinum the Bioshock trilogy - not 100% yet because I haven't started Infinite DLC - and boy what a ride, and not in a good way. Just like Bioshock 1 and 2 I also played this game before on pc, twice like BS1, but I honestly never ever got into the changes they made for the game which is why this one is my least favorite in terms of gameplay while for story it has a pretty good ending and the DLC Burial at Sea is amazing on its own (I haven't touched them but I did play them on pc) Honestly, my biggest gripe is the limitations with your weapons and the fact you can't carry medkits and salts with you, without mentioning how you have less "plasmids" and only a few of them were really that helpful. Having 2 weapons only extremely limits your options, especially in 1999 mode: I essentially played the entire game with the hand cannon and the sniper rifle, especially the sniper rifle, because every other weapon isn't all that great. Because of only 2 weapons you can only upgrade so much and this time you use money instead of workshops which felt just annoying and "grindy", but not in a satisfactory way. Most vigors are hit or miss: Possession is the most useful but also very underwhelming with how it's not permanent and since you can't hack turrets or robots this is your only option and it's not the best. Other ones like Devil's Kiss or Return to Sender were very situational, while Bucking Bronco and Shock Jokey were a little more useful, and Undertow was pretty useful to avoid wasting ammo. But overall, it's not as varied or "Fun" as Bioshock 1 and 2 where you could legitimately combo your plasmids with weapons, it just feels like an extra hand. A lot of the exploration is also gone and the game is very linear. Sure you can still explore few parts but it's very, VERY linear and you can't backtrack like BS1, which means you need to explore properly before proceeding to avoid missing the, well, missables like voxophones or safes to unlock or secret passages to discover and potions that can upgrade your stats. Oh that's right: since this game tried to be a modern fps instead of, you know, Bioshock, you have now a recharging shield alongside your health so now you have to take cover! Just like in Modern Warfare! Minus the fun factor. Honestly, I would say to go and play this for the story but since this is a trophy hunting site all I can say is "good luck, be patient, you'll die a lot" because 1999 mode is the epitome of unfun. Now granted the difficulty itself didn't bother me but it did bother me how you lose a lot more money and risk a total game over if you got none left. You also have to play the entire game in 1999 mode without buying from the Dollar Bill vendors which means you literally need to scavenge for health and salts and ammo so it felt like "Hard mode with extra steps". If 1999 mode could've been done without avoiding the Dollar Bill vendors (THANKFULLY you can use the other 2) and removed the money drain from dying I think it would've been an enjoyable run, especially since you can't save your game manually but it has autosaves and checkpoints....like a modern fps I guess? TL;DR it's a fun game, a bit less to platinum, and if you plan to do the 1999 run then take your time, read a guide and spam "Restart from checkpoint" to avoid wasting money. I'm gonna need a break after this...again!

Popular Post flashpool23
#134 - DRIVECLUB So I started this game awhile ago and gave up as I was finding it difficult. Then the server closure led me to come back to it and some grind later, here's the plat! Bikes and the DLC are left but since they aren't dependent on the server, I might come back to it later. Overall though, this game was more fun than I remembered so if you gave up on it before, I'd retry it now to see if it sticks.
Popular Post TwilightSpira
PLATINUM 217 - NIOH 2 Team Ninja managed to deliver such a fantastic game, truly a worthy successor to one of the best PS4 exclusives. At first I was a bit skeptical about their decision of not following the plot of the end of the DLC, but oh boy was I wrong Truly epic. With that being said, I really hope you all are safe at home, take care of yourselves and just use the time to enjoy the little things in life, such as video game backlog, this is the time!!!!

RedRodriguez87
DIGGS NIGHTCRAWLER #295: Platinum This is the second of my Wonderbook platinums, and definitely much more hands on than Book of Spells. It involves lots of book leaning, tilting, rotating, opening, closing, sliding, etc. And when you have only small cramped spaces, that makes it a problem to cooperate with the PS3 eye. But still, that's just the hand I've been dealt, as when I do get it to work, it works fine. I'm also a sucker for these kinds of stories and characters that sadly you only seem to see in "Noir for Kids"; the loud jazz music, the fact it always seems to be rainy or nighttime, the constant wordplay and inventive dialogue that made more sense in the 50s, a main character "that talksh like a tough guy doin' his best Humphrey Bogart impression and calls every character he meets in this two bit town kid or dame, shee? Nyeahh. shee, nyeeeaaahh" One word of warning, there have been numerous accounts of trophies glitching and not unlocking when they're supposed to, and while I was spared the worst instances, I did encounter some as well.
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #498: Dead Synchronicity Difficulty: 2/10 Playtime : 4-5 hours Enjoyment: 8/10 Some kind of giant resonance cascade thingy or whatever has plunged the world into chaos, and brings with it a strange degenerative disease that causes people to dissolve. In this doomed New World, things have boiled down to the simple question of what will kill off humanity first, the disease, or, well... humanity. (Whether all the characters' propensity towards a near-constant squint is connected to the apocalyptic goings-on remain unconfirmed.) All told, Dead Synchronicity is an engrossing noirish trip into Post-Apocalyptica filled with darkness, death, and fear, but also hope, decency, and kindness. Many stories like this, especially ones that don't relent on the horror aspect, can often lose themselves in all the darkness and thus become a futile exercise in pointless misanthropy, bordering on exploitation. Like a lone flower blooming in a concrete jungle, humanity can always find a way. It's the last thing we should let go of in a situation like this, or we are as good as dead already. Anyways, the hellish background work is exceptional, heightening the atmosphere with bold colour choices and attention to detail. You can almost smell the detritus! There are several scenes presented in a novel comic book panel style composition that denote specific sub-areas; a very cool stylistic choice borne of pragmatism. The musical aspect is a little underwhelming: scoring as a whole seems underused and when it is used, it seems to hardly ever fit the mood. The writing is taut yet wry, and has a very good grasp of tone more often than not. The main character is very likeable, and his internal monologues ensure you always know where's he's at morally. Even when the revelations about the circumstances inevitably pile up towards the end, the writing is still very down-to-earth and comprehensible. Not always a given for these kinds of stories. Overall, despite a few flaws, Dead Synchronicity is a game that radiates supreme confidence in its raison d'etree, and achieves its goal with wit and verve. I'll admit, the horrors depicted are more than a little heightened by our own current circumstances. The "use a thing on a thing" approach of the trophy list is a little less than exciting, but it's at least pretty painless. There isn't a whole lot of anything new under the sun (or the giant hole in sky, I guess) but it's a good time for what it is.
Popular Post ZoutjeNL
#30 Monster Hunter World Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Man what can I say, I absolutely adore the Monster Hunter Franchise. Having played the games starting on the PSP (Monster Hunter freedom 2 and Unite), continueing on the Wii/Wii u with Tri and Ultimate. And man what they did with World/Iceborne is amazing. All the updates that we constantly still receive, its mind blowing. Capcom is definitely one of my favourites as of the latest years and this game is a prime example of the quality that Capcom is offering. Having completed this game on PC before I wanted to do it again on PS4... some would call me crazy with all the heavy RNG for the Crowns but I enjoyed every minute of it. Being a hammerbro as my weapon of choice is the hammer it is still as satisfying to smash faces and get those juicy stuns in. On the PC I loved bow too but I had zero luck with the decoration drop so I quit using Bow. Definitely one of the highlights of Monster Hunter is the diversity in weapons.. every weapon is viable and there is a weapon for everyone. There is no weapon that is the weapon to go to. Another big plus is the community... yes the community! In most games the communities can be toxic but this game has the best community that I know. Everyone is friendly and teaming up with other players around the world is so easy. I really like that I play without much communication (other than using stickers) with people all across the globe. The Trophy list is quite though and if you aren't used to grinding (or like grinding) the trophy list is hell. As someone that is used to grinding and someone that actually loves to kill the same monster over and over to get that one piece of gear that you want I did not mind at all. As a matter of a fact that is where Monster hunter shines to me. I just had to make Monster Hunter World my #30 as a milestone. Next to the Souls(likes) games my favourite games to play. I will slowly be working on Iceborne but for now Nioh 2 will be my next game to tackle. I highly recommend picking this game up. But be warned! The plat is long and grindy as hell with a heavy amount of RNG involved.
Popular Post PooPooBlast
#134 South Park Stick of Truth (PS4) This one will be quickie (as was the game. Finished in 12 hours). This was my first ever introduction to the world of south park as I never watched the show. I was recommended this game by many friends due to the fart jokes and crude humour ?.. And they were right! It was freaking hilarious and amusing. The story centers around the "New Kid" aka Douchebag (You, the player) who just moved recently into town and has to play and become friends with the other kids in town (sometimes adults too). Gameplay is pretty basic. It is a lite turn-based RPG. However, you don't really play this game for the gameplay. There were a lot of bat shit crazy things that happen that had me screenshotting left and right . Spoiler From kloe khardashian's aborted German Nazi Fetus, Fighting gnomes while watching your parents doing it, going into Mr. Slave's rear (and finding all sorts of stuff stuck in there) to Morgan mother flipping Freeman showing up at the final cutscene explaining the story . All in all, this was a really fun game to play and a quickie that can be completed over a weekend. Looking forward to the Fractured Buttwhole! Onto the next! Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#350 MediEvil *Milestone Platinum* I haven't posted in here since I hit platinum #300 and I'm not going to bore everyone by listing my last fifty of them but I will share my latest milestone This is a game I played many years ago on PS1 (memories) and was one of the first I ever experienced on the console. It just so happens to be one of my favourite games for it too all when this remake was announced there was no way I wasn't going to buy it and also no way I wasn't going to save it for a milestone. Thoughts on the game: I really enjoyed it and it's a very good remake. I really did get the impression that this is the game that the developers wanted to make on PS1 but you obviously can only work within the limitations of the console itself. The graphics are great and the colours are vibrant. My only slight criticism is that the devs stuck a little too rigidly to the spirit of the original game and didn't fix some of the faults the original game had, including the stiff camera and the cumbersome controls. Two levels in particular that suffer from this are Cemetery Hill & Pools of the Ancient Dead as both levels feature tricky jumps where it feels like the game's controls are working against you. All in all though I enjoyed it very much. Recommended if you're a fan of the original game but I think younger players that didn't play the original might not get as much enjoyment. Popular Post Undead Wolf
#310 - Twin Breaker: A Sacred Symbols Adventure A Beautiful Lie Earn all other trophies. It's kind of surreal to see my boys Colin Moriarty and Chris Ray Gun in a PlayStation game. I've been a fan of the Sacred Symbols podcast since day one and I'm more than happy to support Colin's first first endeavour into video game development (I bought the digital and physical Vita version). As for the game itself, it's a brick breaker with a story written by Colin himself. I really enjoyed reading through the scenes in-between levels - it was interesting! The gameplay was a lot of fun too with its powerups and boss battles. I haven't played a brick breaker in many years, but I found it to be very addictive. Perfect for Vita! The only real downside is that you pretty much have to get lucky with the powerups that drop to get a good score in most of the levels, so you're often made to restart through no fault of your own when going for the A/S ranks needed for the platinum. Of course it's not entirely reliant on luck though since you still need to be skilled enough to take advantage of the powerups. About halfway through, they introduce 4 paddles to control instead of 2 and I found that to be quite overwhelming. I got used to it eventually, but I definitely prefer the levels where there's only 2 paddles to keep track of. I would definitely recommend the game to others, even if you're not familiar with the podcast. You don't need to know Colin and Chris to enjoy the story. It's nice to see a new brick breaking game that actually had some effort put into it.

Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#435 - Lightning Returns Had a good time with it overall. Didn't care much for hte story, but I liked the gameplay. The garb system was pretty neat and offered a good amount of variety. I would've preferred , if there had been no time constraint. Most of the game wa fairly straightforward, but some of the bosses were poorly balanced. It's one thing to have a difficulty spike, but it's another if bosses have an attack that insta kill you even iif you have 20k HP. THe grinding was minimal, yet still boring to do. Enjoyment: 7 Difficulty: 5 (would've been a 3 had the 3 main bosses not been utter dicks)

Popular Post Kristycism
Got a bunch of plats in the last month, so figured I'd post about them all together instead of separately. Thoughts in spoilers purely to avoid stretching the page too much, no actual spoilers within as nobody likes those. #128 - LittleBigPlanet 3 100% Complete Enjoyment: 1/10 because glitches (may have been a 4 if there weren't any) Difficulty: 3/10 Time to Plat: ~20h Spoiler Okay, first off, what the hell is wrong with this game? Why are there so many game-breaking bugs? And why on earth are my save files for the game 0.5GB without any created levels!?!?! The fuck!? Ahem. Anyway. I went into this game with fairly high expectations, with it being a Platformer (my favourite genre) and a Sony exclusive. This was a mistake, as my expectations were NOT met. At all. We'll start with the game-breaking bugs. Aside from the ones everyone knows about which lock you out of many things. One bug I came across that I did not see mentioned anywhere was the Marbles at the end of levels never going to the statues. Meaning, you complete the levels but can no longer progress as the gate to the next level will never open. The NPCs have the dialogue that says "hey! you collected all the marbles", but the statue will not appear, ever. I had to start again from scratch when I was so close to the end. It was irritating. Very irritating. But even if that hadn't occurred, I probably still wouldn't have enjoyed the game all that much. I mean, it's okay, but it's clearly aimed at young children, meaning all the early levels are just so easy you could do them whilst half asleep and watching Netflix. The last level and boss fight were a bit more challenging when trying to Ace them (do them without dying) but that didn't make up for the snooze-fest of the rest of the game. It would probably be a good game to play with a young kid through, once my nephew gets older or something. I can imagine kids would find it quite enjoyable. But as I have no children (I have fluff children, but they're not really into games...), I can safely say this game will be my first and last LBP game as I will not be picking up any of the other entries after suffering through this. Blegh. #129 - Claire Completionist Enjoyment: 5/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time to Plat: ~4h 2 Spoiler I had already played this game twice by this point - once on PC, and once on PS4. So this time around on Vita, I just went straight for trophies following a walkthrough. So this particular run wasn't very enjoyable and I'd give it a 2/10, but the original playthrough back on PC, I found it to be a decent indie survival horror. I mean, it's pretty much bang on what you expect for the type of game it is. Nothing special, but enough to keep you entertained for a few hours. I remember dying loads on my Nightmare run on PC as my sanity kept dropping and killing me when I got lost and didn't know where to go. That was less of an issue this time around because I followed a walkthrough, but I still died a couple of times because my sanity dropped too low at points towards the end. I don't have much more to say on this, since I did just follow a walkthrough this time, but I would probably still recommend it to fans of indie survival horrors, though only really for one playthrough - it gets boring after that. #130 - The Sims 4 Ultimate Sim Guru Enjoyment: 9/10 (for the actual game, not the quick plat) Difficulty: 1/10 Time to Plat: ~3h 1 Spoiler Alright, so, I will confess, I only did this for the quick trophies. Shoutout to @Malachen for the amazing trophy walkthrough on the site, without which I may not have bothered with the game at all on PS4 since it plays to badly compared to the PC version. However, I have played The Sims 4 extensively on PC, as I find it a really good way to relax. So I feel like it's okay that I went for the quickie plat on this...right? Anyway, as an actual game, you pretty much know what to expect from a Sims game. I hadn't played since I was a kid, but I bought it on PC when it was on sale well over a year ago, and it's improved so much since the games I remember as a kid! There's just something so enjoyable about creating a little town and ordering all its residents about like a god! I mean, if you like, you can force people to pee their pants or anything! I don't know why that's funny in a game, as if it happened in real life it'd be just disgusting, but somehow it's okay when they're not real people. If you're a fan of these kind of games, I'd highly recommend The Sims 4 - but only if you have a PC you can run it on. When I was going for the Plat on PS4, it reminded me why I've never bothered with these games on console, as the controls are just a pain to work with. Sure, you can manage, but it's just a much smoother experience on PC, so go play on there. And if you just want trophies, follow the Platinum Walkthrough, it's extremely well-written and guides you through from zero to Plat in barely any time! #131 - Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age (and trophy #6000 because look how pretty the trophy image is) Champion of Ivalice Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 TIme to Plat: ~60h 6 Spoiler So, when I was a kid, I absolutely adored FF12 and it was one of my top games on the PS2. It wasn't until I started frequenting the internet years later that I discovered it seems to divide the FF fanbase. Playing it again, it's not quite as good as I remember, but I personally think it stands up there as quite a good FF entry. It's a lot more serious than most other FF games, with it being centered on war as a theme. Which means most of the main cast are also more serious than most other entries, which makes sense given the world it's set in, but they seem to come off as bland to a lot of people. I mean, I kinda get where they're coming from, but I personally think it works for the scenario they're in. The story as well is quite serious, which puts people off I guess, but I enjoyed the change. The combat is...a lot slower than I remember. Thankfully, in this remaster, we have the option of speeding up the combat by 2x or 4x the regular speed, and I'd honestly probably have hated the combat by the end if this didn't exist, especially when hunting for Rare Game enemies as that was a tedious process back on the PS2 which I'm glad I could speed up this time around. But the Gambit system is quite fun to play around with, even if in the end all you end up doing is having attacks and heals set up on auto, and manually doing anything else yourself. But the main area I love about this game was the sidequest stuff. I love games with enough side content that I can play with for enough time that I've basically forgot what I was doing in the main story! I mean, sure, for the most part it was just the hunts, which are basically all "take down this enemy" - but some of them were a good challenge if you're not overlevelled, especially ones where you couldn't just spam attacks and win. A lot of people weren't a fan of the hunts and thought they were repetitive, but I found them quite good if you do them in between each story segment rather than all at once at the end (which would probably be very mind-numbing). Trial mode was also decent enough, though I went into it over-prepared and steamrolled most of it up until the last three levels (#98 and #99 of which basically just demand you use Breaker techniques then win). That last level was quite tough though, with the Judges! Especially when you get down to the last two and they just keep fully healing each other. I wasn't at risk of dying at many points after getting rid of the first three, but trying to actually get rid of them required some creative thinking! And also Ultima, I wasn't prepared for and didn't notice what was happening so I almost wiped out on her until I noticed the gimmick in her battle... Side note, I also really liked the Esper designs! They were weird but cool! I remember drawing several of them as a kid as I thought they were epic Maybe I should do it again now that my art skills have improved... #132 - Tales of Xillia Lord of Xillia (why is there so much white space in this trophy image??) Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Time to Plat: ~70h 2 3 Spoiler I love Tales games so much!!! And this is definitely among the top entries in my opinion - not quite as good as Symphonia, which will forever remain my #1 (though I plan to play it on PS3 soon and go for the Plat...which may knock it off the pedestal after 5 playthroughs...). But it's definitely up there in entries to the series that I'd recommend to anyone who loves Tales games or JRPGs in general! The story is good and has a number of unexpected twists, which I love in a game. And the characters are all really great in their own ways and I love each member of the main cast (and prominent side cast). And also, most importantly, best skit in any Tales game: Spoiler I'm not really sure why they felt the need to force you to play Milla and Jude's stories separately though - for how little difference there are between the two, they could've just had you play as the characters separately for their individual parts where the journey is slightly different. Still, I'd probably have had to do a NG+ playthrough anyway for some trophies, so at least the mildly different story branches made the second playthrough more interesting! I think I may actually play the game again on the NA version, just because of how much I loved it. Not any time soon, but after I complete some of the other Tales games in my backlog (how do I only have two Plats?? I need to get the rest of them!) I'll probably revisit this brilliant game! tl;dr 1ould 100% recommend. Buy it now! #133 - Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Don't Ruin The Moment Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4/10 TIme to Plat: ~20h 2 Spoiler So, I only played this when I did because it was coming off PSNow shortly, and I wanted to play it before it did. I would strongly recommend playing UC4 before playing this as there's a character who appears who I had no idea who it was and was kind of a spoiler to even come across them. Plus a lot of Nadine's story I have no idea what happened it since I didn't play UC4 first, but it kind of feels like they expect you to know things which I just didn't. I won't say more, but just do yourself a favour and play UC4 before you play this (and 1-3 as well, of course, though I actually think they're less important even though you'll miss out on knowing a bit about the main characters). Anyway, that aside, it was a decent game for the most part. Though I feel like they made Chloe just a female Nathan Drake for the most part - a bit smarter but with the same humour and comments you could imagine Nate saying in those situations. I feel like they should have made her more of her own character but never mind. She is still a decent enough protagonist, and the progress of the friendship between her and Nadine through the game was somewhat enjoyable. The encounters and puzzles are a lot simpler than the main UC games, and even on Crushing I rarely struggled (whereas in the original trilogy there were so many moments on Crushing that irritated me). But I guess that's too be expected given it was originally intended as DLC for UC4 (which I really need to get around to playing...). So yeah, overall, it's alright. Definitely the weakest UC entry I've played so far, but still enjoyable enough that I would recommend it.

stevenanthony88
Platinum #25 - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint Got to admit at first try I did not get into the game, and uninstalled it within a couple of weeks. Beginning of March I started the game again, and gave it a second try and liked it. I could not say loved it as there were a number of glitches and bugs. Still, I liked it enough to go for Platinum Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10

Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
A long update with my last four platinum trophies! Nos. 161, 162, 163 & 164! Let's go! Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection Perfection produced! The Neptunia idol simulator! The platinum is not really difficult, but you need multiple runs in order to reach it, due to the two endings and and all the 100% elusive events for all the 4 CPUs! You'd better write down all the events you're seeing in the different categories, so you know where are the two missing events, unless you want do more runs (like I did with Neptune, 4 runs! ). Anyway, platinum screenshot with Noire! The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III A flash of light And now I'm waiting for the ToCS IV, due to the bad cliffhanger at the end of this game. They could have put just a couple of events before closing the game abruptly. About the game, this is an improved version, compared to ToCS I & II, especially graphics and combat system. Forget about the command wheel, now every action is assigned to the 8 buttons of the DS4, which is really nice! And the game has the same structure of the first one: school period and exam field, with missable chests, sidequest, character notes, enemies. Yeah, the usual ToCS trophy list. What I didn't like was the new Class VII (especially if you compare them to the original Class VII) and the new fishing minigame. And a lot of dialogues, huge wall texts! But a solid and a great soundtrack! I really liked the night music (my favourite!), the city and the battle themes. And there was an amazing surprise: The decisive collision super arrange version! For those who like the Falcom music, enjoy it in the appendix! ? ?? And my personal point of view about the final chapter. For those who haven't played the game, stay away!!! According to me it's a huge mess. Seriouslt, everyone agains Class VI: main branch Campus, Ironbloods, even Millium , Claire and Sharon. What th hell is this?! Yesterday we talked, laughed and fighted against huge monsters in the undergound capital, and now this!? And the Crimson Wings, destroyed by a stupid bomb... Really? I don't believe Laura's father, Oliver and all the people inside the airship are dead. Even Angelica and the Emperor, I have doubt about their death. Seriously, no one dies here and keeps coming back to life, like Osborne and Crow. It's like Kingdom Hearts... Maybe I could be wrong, and when there will be a western release for ToCS IV we can finally discover the truth. But I0m still waiitng for a second round between Laura's father and McBurn Ok, enough with this game. I close with the platinum screenshot taken in the Branch town (since I forgot a character note during my first run. And luckily, since at the end of the game you "win" a pitch black screenshot...), and a Fie surprise! By the way, Fie with a 119% evasion is a monster! And also Kurt with "only" 102% evasion... LEGO Star Wars: the Force awakens (PS Vita) The Force awakens ... Nothing to say about this one. It's a LEGO game. Fun, easy, but some sidequests were really boring. But I've almost completed the LEGO Vita games. I'm missing only the Batman 2, which is really hard to find in my country... Asterix & Obelix XXL 3: the Crystal Menhir Exemplary courage A friend of mine gave it to me (and he did the samething for the XXL 2 ). Well, this isn't like the XXL 2. Is a normal Asterix & Obelix game, with a very tight combat system. In XXL 2 there was the "combo system" between the two characters, but in XXL 3 you are mainly forced to use Asterix (since Obelix is carrying around the world the "Menhir"). And here you have only 6 or 7 types of enemies, compared to the huge variety in XXL 2. I appreciated the puzzles, especially the ones in the Labyrinth, but the Rome gardens were really long and boring. And the archer Romans are really annoying... If you have to choose, pick XXL 2. XXL 3 is good but not really great. According to me, they should bring back also the first XXL, since I've enver played it (only "Asterix and the Secret Mission" on Master System, and a PS1 strategicla game). Platinum screenshot in Thule Island, after blowing up a Roman camp. And this is the Falcom music appendix. Why is it here? Because they keep "eating" all the things I wrote after them in a huge spoiler tag... Nothing to say about this one. She's the guest star! ? Perfect music for train travels! ? The first town theme! And a couple of battle theme! Let's start wiht the tough enemies in the dungeons! If you've already played ToCS I & II you can imagine who's the boss during this battle...? And a final dungeon theme, well, not exactly the "final dungeon", but is really good! Ok, maybe I added too much music... Popular Post Redgrave
#177: A Beautiful Lie - Twin Breaker: A Sacred Symbols Adventure I was looking forward to this one for a while since I have been listening to the Sacred Symbols podcast for over a year and I'm glad that Colin and Chris got to have their own game out now so it was nice to be able to support them apart from listening to their podcast. Not that I'm a freeloader or anything haha... But as far as the game goes it was fun and somewhat new to me because I haven't really played a brick breaker before. I'm certain I have in a minigame in something else before but not as an entire game. However just calling it a brick breaker is kind of a disservice since it does have it's own spin on things like there being power ups and a nice variety of level designs. And to my knowledge this is also the only brick breaker to have a story with it but I could be wrong Either way though I enjoyed it and am glad that Colin got to write for this game. My only frustrations with it were the levels where you control the four paddles since they would often throw me off and I had a hard time registering what was happening especially if I had a multi-ball or if the ball was bouncing around really fast. It made getting the A and S Ranks for the trophies and collectibles feel like you had to rely on luck a bit more than skill. But I was able to persevere through it and get the Plat at the end and I'm glad to be able to get a Platinum made by people I regularly listen to while also showing them support by buying it ?
