Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#300: Platinum Trophy Welp, I reached another trophy milestone! And what better 300th platinum could I ask for but a super fuzzy bland image of Batman's mug?! I intended for it to be God of War, but things happened and...well, I had to fall back on my PS3. Still, it feels nice to platinum a game that took me over a year due to putting it off for fear I couldn't do it. Kinda like Arkham City. And like I said about that one, it's a really well made game; the combat is fun, the challenge fair, story interesting, it deserved the acclaim it got. Heck, I might try to finish up the rest of the games in the series. Well, ONCE anyways; no console double-stacking for me. My only real complaint with this is game is that, being the first in the series, it's very rough in the combat. For casual play its great, but as with many games, the more demanding modes start to show cracks here and there. Batman will whiff thugs that are right next to him, attack in a direction AWAY from where you are holding the Analog Stick, decide he'd rather not do that Takedown and instead counter nothing, initiate one of his slo-mo power strikes while an off-screen thug runs up at completely normal speed and knocks him out of it (and your combo). But of course, as the platinum rarity is NOT 0.00%, there's nothing gamebreaking and with practice it can be done. Now I'm wondering, what will be my next 100 games be? Will I even make it that long? I'll guess I'll see.......

Popular Post snakebit10
#302 Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered The first COD I ever played back on PS3 and was always one of my favorite ones. Of the COD games I have played this remains as one of the best campaigns I have played in a COD game. I liked the different trophies they added to compensate taken out all the Spec Ops trophies. Most were easy to do, only ones that game me a little trouble is The Student Surpasses the Master, which was easier then Best of the Best. Still took quite a few tries over 2 nights and the Immortal trophy. Even though it can be done on easy, there were still a few troublesome spots for me. Overall it is still an enjoyable experience and now I will wait for the MW3 remaster.
Popular Post Viper
#186 RiME The End is a New Beginning I decided to play this just to get a Plat in April as I wasn't going to Plat DQ11 or ACB in time, and hate going a whole month without at least one.Overall this was a fun little game that told a powerful story about the 5 stages of grief with a nice twist ending...and did all of this with ZERO dialogue. It's just...with games like this, it's hard for me to have any emotional attachment to it because I'm in it for the trophies rather than the experience...so it's not something I thought was this profound experience, especially because it's one of those games you would consider more Art than video game. But if you're into indie games that are meant to move you...this should do the trick.
Popular Post Rias Gremory
Crash Bandicoot 1 Platinum #117 Crash Bandicoot 2 Platinum #118 Crash Bandicoot 3 Platinum #119 Crash Bandicoot 1. Platinum #117 Difficulty 7/10. Took me 21 hours. Couldn't get 100% because I fucking hate Stormy Ascent so I decided to leave it out. Crash Bandicoot 2: Platinum #118 Difficulty 7/10. Took me 1 day and 3 hours. Piston Away and Spaced Out was really annoying to get Gold Relics, in the end I pull it off and never doing it again. Crash Bandicoot 3: Platinum #119 Difficulty 6/10. Took me 1 day and 3 hours. Most of the stages were pretty easy to beat and some few were an ass to get em. I'm glad I finish all 3 games and overall i'm happy enough as it is. Popular Post SoapMacTavish222
#360 Fallout 76 for PS4 So I started this game whenever it first came out but since it wasn't like the original fallout games, it didn't hold my interest for long at first. I took about a year off from playing and got back into it about a month ago. There was so much stuff I was missing that I didn't even realize until I started playing with a group of friends and then I was hooked. They have recently released an update that adds more to the story and gives it more of the traditional fallout feel. I would definitely recommend this game but only if you're not worried about losing track of time and playing for 6+ hours without even realizing it. Seriously. There is so much to do in this game that the one night I spent 3 hours just on building my house. (That's including going out to farm materials) It definitely takes a bit to get into but once you do, it's seriously a blast.
Popular Post NZBigC
Titanfall 2 Mark of the Advocate Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Surprisingly easy Platinum if you can get past the gauntlet trophy (which took less than an hour breaking it down into sections and watching tutorial videos). I took over 3 years to platinum because I did a few multiplayer matches all those years ago, but in reality, this can easily be done in a day using the Master difficulty exploit. The story was fantastic and is definitely worth the play.

Popular Post cronocyde
Platinum #140: Skylanders Superchargers (PS4) First trophy: 27th Dec 2015 11:20:38 AM Time to platinum (real time): 4 years, 3 months, 3 weeks Time to platinum (in game time): Around 30 hours Platinum rarity (PSNProfiles): 7.88% Game rating: 8/10 Trophy rating difficult: 5/10 After more than 4 years, it's finally done! I started this game with my kid and we had a lot of fun together playing this. The Skylanders franchise is very underrated in terms of gameplay and fun, pretty much all of these games are great! Of course, you need a lot of figurines to be able to do a couple of trophies, hence why the rarity of the platinum. Pretty fun game if you can get it on the cheap!
Popular Post EcoShifter
I've gotten platinums from several games this year, such as Dragon Ball Z: Kararot, Matterfall, Wipeout Omega Collection, but my most recent at the time of writing this is The end is a new beginning Obtain all trophies. This is definitely one of the most underrated gems I've played recently. It was surely a mistake putting the game down in 2018 immediately after interacting with the controls. Having revisited it and given it a real chance, which i'm ecstatic I did, i'm mostly disappointed with myself for the bad decision I made at the time. That said, naturally, there are some things I do not like (flaws): the sprinting mechanic being momentum based, requiring a mostly uninterrupted (default) pre-run/roll action for a few seconds before seamlessly transitioning into a sprint (though it does stay active indefinitely, including while going up some inclined planes, until a player sprints across certain surfaces); the semi-awkward controls, which are not as bad as the average person exaggerates but is still worth bringing up; the framerate, which isn't unplayable or atrocious (outside a mere few sections) but recurring and noticeable and is unquestionably the game's biggest issue; the companion's guiding bark that can be obnoxious at certain parts because of the small interval in-between them; and lastly would be the placement of the last White Shade entity (the only one I had to use a guide on), which even hardcore non-guide using explorers are going to have an extremely difficult job finding due to it being behind a "wall" that the game does a good job at convincing the player it cannot be gone through. I also disagree with the the platinum image, which itself is nicely designed, though is too complicated for me to explain why (partly due to spoilers) it isn't as great as the perfect platinum title. Like I alluded to, though, the game is still great (pros): the beautiful artstyle, the surprisingly phenomenal soundtrack (exceeds Journey's imo, for perspective), the capitalization on the pure adventure (no gaming industry predominant action-adventure mesh) experience, the mysterious yet also thought-provoking story, great and rewarding exploration, the powerful and emotional endings that alone makes the game worth playing (which seems valid to say considering the game's anti time-consuming friendly length and non-convoluted, balanced difficulty), the in-engine cutscenes—which allows satisfying moments like all-cycles-of-the day and alternate costume scenes—and the quality of life features pertaining to secondary playthroughs. There's also a lot of amazing attention to details; however, due to some being story related, I'll only list some other ones: wet physics (in all costumes), different menu background (which are animated + contain audio) representing the chapter the player is on, the bushes that serve no gameplay function has collision response (not only are leaves shown falling off but an audio effect is produced as well), the main character's voice varies dynamically and greatly throughout the game depending on several things (environment, story, objects, other entities, etc), similar to the previous point the boy will also react to the world around him, and I'll cut off there so that people who care about this stuff have some things new to look forward to. With this game being similar to titles like The Witness (but without the high difficulty) and Journey—as well as both Ico (the only Team Ico game I haven't played) and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker according to some other people—in terms of the experience, puzzles, adventure, art-style, story, atmosphere, and soundtrack to say the least, it's obviously best that first time players do not follow a guide on their first play-through and instead have a blind, enjoyable one. The game doesn't deserve the former, and anyone who does do that is naturally robbing themselves of the emotional and engaging experience they'd get with a fresh perspective and no knowledge of the game's world. Platinum difficulty: Fairly difficult without a guide, technically, because of collectibles and vagueness behind the unlocking of some trophies. (Although, with a guide it's primarily easy—most of the difficulty is tied to the very task of finding (53) things, which to clarify isn't terribly difficult and doesn't quantitatively compare to other collectibles from other games, such as the treasures, crystals, landmarks, and feathers from Uncharted, Fe, Prototype, and Assassin Creed, respectively.) Game Enjoyment: High. (Would play and get the platinum again.) Edited April 26, 2020 by EcoShifter
Popular Post yellowwindow7
A Sonic Hero / Sonic Forces this game could have been better if you only play as modern sonic and the levels were a bit more longer. i really liked the soundtracks and i kinda enjoyed the game a bit when trying to score higher in the leaderboard for fun, but other than that the game can get quite boring and repetitive so quick as there's 30 levels in the whole game and you might say that's a lot and well it is! though, until you learn the fact is that there's actually 8 different levels and the rest is just a one big Copy and Paste from these 8 levels and you will be Forced to play them multiple of times... as Modern Sonic, as Classic Sonic, as your OC ( Avatar )... even Shadow's free Story DLC is a three already existed Modern Sonic's level with a higher difficulty.... and don't get too happy about that, the difficulty is basically just adding more hazard like a stupid floating spike balls and such. oh and you can play these levels extra more with 7 EX levels and 6 Secret level which again is the same ones you already went through but with more hazards, isn't that awesome? thanks to the drunk physics the game has the controls now is all over the place, i never played a sonic game where the simplest idea of jumping and landing on a floating platform is way too hard, sometimes you jump and land normally.. replay that same part and now it's a bit difficult to make that land, other times your character will have that nice weight and on some other occasions the character will feels like a feather and for a dumb reason sonic and even your avatar speed is scripted one point the game will locked you to casual running and on others it will Forces you to run fast. this game actually forces me to like my own 7 avatars... ( you need to make seven different races of animals to get the platinum )... more than the mainline sonic characters, no matter how sonic or knuckles throw jokes around it won't make me laugh at all and it's a crime for what they did to my Boi Tails, he's pretty much almost useless in this game except talk all the time on the radio, he freaking managed to beat Chaos on his highest level possible before became giant in Sonic Adventure and now on this game when he saw the illusion of chaos made by Infinite he got frightened and panicked and ask sonic for help where sonic was not around, sonic is been captured by Eggman and been tortured for six months. i played Sonic Adventure on the ps3, in tails's story he said he don't wants to be a burden to sonic anymore and when the time comes he need to stand and defend for himself without the need to ask sonic for help and he did freaking beat Chaos on it's full glory, and now.... now they add him in the game as the Cutesy mascot and nothing else and this is a problem at least to me, i don't mind tails to be just for cute moments i like the yellow two tailed guy, the problem is i wanted to take screenshots of him in it and the only way to see him fully is in the cut scenes and the cut scenes will block the use of the Share button Functions due to spoilers ? classic Sonic shouldn't have to be in this game, as if they add him just to remind you that it's the same guys who made the amazing Sonic Generations, also he have the worst levels in the whole game..... who the hell thought it's a great idea to add a freaking auto scrolling level in a sonic game? sonic team is really still stuck in the 90's when physics, camera controls and controls is a bit clunky and they almost never change, Astroboy on the ps2 which made by them had these issues, both Sonic Adventure games have those, especially SA1, Sonic R, Sonic Heroes etc.. would be cool for sega to continue Sonic Mania from now on... the game can be fun after a while, it just that the levels will end too fast too quick, the platinum is not that hard, it's just time consuming to the max. i gotta say that i at least enjoyd this game more than Team Sonic Racing, that is one of the worst Mascot Racing games i ever recently played, i had fun playing LittleBigPlanet Karting more than that Sumo Digital's bottom of the trash can game. Edited April 29, 2020 by yellowwindow7 it's Frightened, not Flustered... stupid auto correction.
Popular Post Akeachi
#11 - BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle Enjoyment : 8/10 Difficulty : 2/10 (Personally) Time : about 4-6h This is the easiest fighting game platinum. it's even easier than Tekken 7 imo And it's a great fighting game too! My main critcisim about it is that half of the roster is locked behind DLCs which sucks because my favourite characters are DLCs:| Plus, they announced that half the roster will be in DLC before the game even released. There's even some DLC Characters that show up and you can also fight in the story but you can't play them:/ But overall it's a nice game? my favourite character is Hazama & Carmine Trophy-wise it's pretty easy as I said, you just have to try every mode, get all story endings, finish 1 character's combo trials (which is really easy even if you're not a fighting game veteran, I'd recommend doing Yu Narukami's trials) and some online trophies.
Popular Post RedSkyKing
#43 Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable 1.11%ULTRA RARE Originally, I played the console version on 360 when it first came out, and later started it on Vita of May 2014. A six year long journey to achieve the plat has finally come to an end! Now, could I have gotten it sooner? Probably, but I could only stand so much of this game at a time. This was the most unholy grind I've ever experienced in any game, taking as long as 6+ hours to farm the last weapon I needed for 100% I've heard some even report 20+ hours for the last 3 weapons they needed. Building up you armor (HP) was just as bad. The majority of the game I played solo, so when it came to the harder difficulties I really needed to get my armor to 9,000+ in order to have a chance at beating them. Every enemy has a chance of dropping health, a weapon, armor, or nothing (Bigger enemies would drop a combination of the three.) Each armor dropped was 1 armor to your health. Depending on the enemy count, on average you'd get about 20-70 armor each mission. There's a total of 60 levels each 5 difficulties for each two characters (trophies don't stack.) So you can imagine how much trail and error was involved here. I suffered a total of 202 hours. I wouldn't recommend this game if you're going for the platinum, even though now it would be somewhat easier due to the fact that there are methods to efficiently grind. This is a fun game to mindlessly blow stuff up and enjoy with a friend. My enjoyment at the start was a solid 7, but that dwindled to a 3. Final thoughts? My shackles have finally been removed.

Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #55 - Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed Difficulty Rating 3/10 Enjoyment Rating 7/10 Rare - 10.15% You might be asking yourself what kind of game is Akiba’s Trip. I’m not really sure how to answer that question, but let me try to conjure up the right words here It’s a game about some organization using the selfish collective nature within hardcore otaku and using that energy to basically turn them into vampires.. or something. I can’t really remember the specifics all that great ? It’s certainly not for the average going gamer. I’m referring to those who like to stay within the realm of Call of Duty, Madden, FIFA and Assassin’s Creed. This title in particular caters for a very niche demographic. That being the hardcore otaku crowd who find enjoyment in the themes this game provides. Yes, I fit that demographic ? But even I must say I had a hard time enjoying this game... at least at first. I found the combat super jank, not the QTE part where you’re ripping off clothes, but the part where you’re hitting people with your weapon in real time. My fault though. I started a new game on the highest difficulty available when I should of been saving it for New Game Plus. You will have to do at least 4 playthroughs anyway for each true ending depending on which girl’s route you end up completing. The game doesn’t take too long if you skip cutscenes. Somewhere around a 2-4 hour average depending how much dialogue you skip. Your first playthrough will be the most boring, but it gets more fun in New Game Plus. More customization options will be open to you and your character can look however you want them to. Even your AI battle parter can be customized. I had my battle partner and I dress up like Daft Punk by using motorcycle helmets and tuxedos ? I set us both up with drunk walking animations as we hit the streets clubbing everyone with pink baseball bats ? Ooh, it sure was a unique experience. Anyway, here is what I recommend. Start your first playthrough on the easiest difficulty and use your little sister as much as you can. No, not like that I mean your little sister acts as a shop to upgrade your weapons and armor. Should you max out a full set to 999, it’ll make future playthroughs more of a breeze. You’ll be glad you saved the harder difficulties for later. You will need to complete “Gamer” difficulty before “Otaku” difficulty can be accessed. A good way to make money fast is to beat all of the arena with your maxed out gear. What’s great about Akiba’s Trip is that you can end a playthrough and start new at anytime by “Leaving Akihabara” at the subway station (New Game Plus only). That way you can keep doing the arena over and over again in short increments of time Like the name suggests, the game takes place in Akihabara, a real anime/game shopping district set in Japan. I hear it’s a pretty accurate representation too, minus all the loading zones It is pretty much an otaku paradise where one can thrive and collect all the goodies one needs in their life. Environment in the game looks top notch, but the characters models and combat mechanics could of used some serious work. Regardless, the dialogue is mostly voiced and keeps the otherwise plain story rather interesting cause you don’t have to force yourself to read it all ? Who is best girl you ask? Well, I’m sad to say that a majority of them are super lackluster. Kati, the bar maid is my personal favorite, but you can’t romance her ? She can be used as a battle partner, but that’s about it. Instead, you’re stuck with chicks that make you wanna shoot yourself in the head. For those who aren’t so bad, my choices are certainly Shizuku and Nana, for they are the most respectful and loving towards the protagonist. My next stop in the series will be Akiba’s Beat. Here is hoping it does things a little bit better ?
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #501: Difficulty: 4.5/10 Playtime: 10-15 hours Enjoyment: 8/10 Being the tale of a quirky humanoid alien girl with an affinity for superpowered hats (and cosplaying as my childhood crush Fern Walters, I guess?) and her quest to retrieve the Time Pieces that fuel her spaceship from an assortment of even quirkier personalities with the time-honored power of precision jumping. So right off the bat this is probably as close as we're going to get to a Super Mario 64/Sunshine/Galaxy game on the PlayStation... indeed, oftentimes it comes off as a fan-made bootleg with the serial numbers filed off... heh, a slightly more competent Giana Sisters, I suppose. And as is the wont of such projects, it lacks the spit and polish of it what it imitates. Usually I'm pretty fair when it comes to such comparisons, but this is derivative enough to the point that I kind of have to do it. And from the not-quite-perfect controls and dicey framerate, to the uncooperative camera and poorly mixed audio, from a technical standpoint it's left wanting. I was reminded of the wasted potential of Psychonauts way more than I'd like. I like the setting and the characters; I would've just liked to see more of them. The first few worlds are filled with fun little story moments to break up the gameplay, but the second half is all but bereft of them, and any story from then on feels rushed, especially the endgame. The two halves feel like two different games at times. It really does not help with the fatigue that comes with the more taxing later missions. The variety of gameplay also takes a dip towards the latter half. Early worlds see you engaging in off-kilter stuff like murder investigations and stealth, but by the end it's almost all A-to-B platforming. It offers challenges that will tax any platformer fan regardless of skill level; not always to its benefit. In short, A Hat in Time is a likeable little charmer with a colourful and cutesy art style that really starts out as something special but loses steam pretty fast. And more importantly, it leaves me longing for a spin-off starring my favourite character, an irritable bird...man...thing with a Scottish accent and an passion for trains. Think Scrooge McDuck on quac--err, crack, and you'll get the gist. Yes indeed, my body is ready for Conductor McCussington: Peck Neck Peril... that's money, right there.

Popular Post saki
Platinum #62: Metro 2033 Redux Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 5/10 The game scared me more than I want to admit. Traveling through those dark subway tunnels and fighting weird creatures felt very intense. Fighting humans on the other hand felt rather boring and repeditive. Also, the human AI end up being deaf and blind at the same time once you turn off the lights. I wish they made the survival aspect of the game a little harder though. After every "fighting" area you reach a place with a shop to stock up on weapons, ammo and filters. Getting the right moral points for the good ending was pretty straight forward and the 2nd playthrough end up being a speedrun for me. Most trophies are weapon/kill related and can be done by simply reloading a checkpoint. The fact that you earn a silver trophy for the harder survival difficulty and a gold trophy for the easier spartan difficulty hurt a lot though. ? Platinum #63: Metro: Last Light Redux Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 6/10 The game definitely kept it's predecessors intense feel and finally gave the protagonist some character development. They also made survival harder, stockup stations between every level are no more! Human fights still felt boring, but the new sniper rifle made fighting them a little more challenging. I don't know if those easy human fights spoiled me but fighting nosalis and watchmen felt way harder. Those two boss fights were a struggle since I was low on ammo, but not impossible. Also, getting all the moral points for the good ending is nearly impossible without a guide since the game wants you to look at the most random things to get those. Surprisingly most trophies are story related. Some trophies required to finish levels in a stealthy way, which wasn't that hard thanks to the blind human AI. The DLC trophies weren't that hard, except for Through the Fire which triggered my spiderphobia. ?
Popular Post sh4d0wzcs
#107 My Hero One's Justice I swear I didnt platinum this just to have All Might protecc my trophy cabinet! Game was surprisingly enjoyable, story was alright at best (I've watch the anime and I'm up to date with the manga), mission mode was much much more fun having some sort of freedom of who to fight with. The collectable grind wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be, the online was utter trash with the connection issues but good when there was no lag, luckily I have multiple PS4's and just self boosted without the headache of connection issues. Looking somewhat forward to the 2nd game, but will have to wait for a sale.
