Popular Post iFraaN97
# 266 - Devil May Cry Enjoyment : 8 / 10Difficulty: 7 / 10 I finally started playing this series, the only one I played before was the 2013 reboot, which I thought was ok. I really enjoyed this first game, my biggest concern would be the camera, which can definitely be a serious struggle sometimes. The combat is surprisingly simple but it feels so smooth at the same time. Dante Must Die difficulty can be tough, especially the last few bosses are no joke, thankfully everything carries over between difficulties, so you can start completely maxed out and even with a bunch of helpful items if you saved them in previous playthroughs, so it's really doable. I'm currently playing DmC 2 and it really makes me miss this first game so much :/

Popular Post Theladozz
VA-11 Hall-A Jill of all trades A decent VN but I was ultimately quite disappointed with it. I never really became invested in any of the chaarcter stories and I especially disliked the mc and couldn't care less about her drama. The premise and setting are awesome but the stories just kinda went nowhere. Even for characters I somewhat cared about I quickly realized I shouldn't expect anything substantial. I really liked the gameplay , it's chill and the balance between the text and gameplay is spot on. Also the game has tons of funny and clever references. Problem is for a vn (and such a small game) it is surprisingly unstable. I often had massive lag spikes that slowed everything on screen into a crawl for tens of minutes which combined with not being able to save whenever I want made me loathe the game when I was trying to finsh up the last trophies and just left a sour taste in my mouth.

Popular Post bbaauuiiss97
#550 Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes These games are just insane amounts of fun, I used to play tons of Devil Kings on the ps2 when I was little, which is the localization of the first Sengoku Basara game. So it felt pretty nostalgic playing this game which is the only other game that's been localized. I loved it so much I decided to get the Sengoku Basara HD Collection and Sengoku Basara 4 as well, it's all in Japanese that I don't understand much of, but I just love this series too much to let a language barrier stop me so I'll figure it out haha
Popular Post Viscera1900
#247 - Assassin's Creed: Odyssey Epic Cycle "Earn every trophy" Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 3/10 So far my favorite Assassin's Creed game. I liked the new changes to gameplay and storyline focus on Kassandra/Alexios instead of present time Assassin vs Templar storyline. Personally I picked female protagonist for my playthough; I wasn't disappointed, Kassandra's voice actress (English) did very excellent job with her. The world of Assassin's Creed Odyssey is really big one; It's very good thing, but also bad; too big world to explore = easily get sidetracked when trying to complete the main story. And it doesn't help that each time you get a new main story mission; you also pick up about 10 side missions along the way and then get side tracked again. So if I have something to complain about Assassin's Creed Odyssey is that it's way too big game. But overall I had very good experience with AC Odyssey; I enjoyed exploring the world of Ancient Greece and I'm glad that it retained AC Origins's combat system (with amazing Sparta kick). THIS IS SPARTA!
Popular Post Jamescush147
Platinum 206 Lionheart Obtain all trophies 37.91% Uncommon So waaaaaaaay back in the late 90's I was 'one of those'. You know....one of those that bought the newest Squaresoft game on day one. Yeah Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy Tactics, Einhänder, Xenogears, oh and this one. Yeah I was a fan of the company. This one. This was my fave. And so I've been waiting forever for the 'remastered' version to come out. Oh boy....did I wait. So we got 7 and 9 and X and X-2 but never 8. Then...one day we got the trailer. ? So yeah, bought it. Took my sweet time to finish it and got the Plat! So....when is the Remastered Xenogears coming out SquareEnix?

Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#356 - Gemini: Heroes Reborn I picked this up for a few pounds in a PSN sale a couple of years ago and it had been sitting on my hard drive untouched ever since until I decided to have a clearout of my digital backlog not long ago. I wasn't a fan of this game at all. Much like the TV show it's based on, I found it rather dull, bland and lifeless. The gameplay was tedious, the game mechanics are poorly explained and the story was boring too. I wasn't particularly impressed with the graphics either which resemble those of a PS3 game for the most part. I got a good chuckle from the absurdly comical ragdoll physics of the NPC's though which I found far more entertaining than the rest of the game. Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #106 - A Rose in the Twilight A Rose in the Twilight, 23.15% Rarity Difficulty - 5/10 , Time Spent - ~12 Hours , Enjoyment 7.5/10 A Rose in the Twilight is about a young princess who must puzzle her way through her castle overrun with thorns with help from her trusty giant friend. The story definitely has a lot of macabre elements-- from viewing memories of people who were killed to even having to sacrifice your character in many disturbing ways. The story is told mostly through notes that you pick up along the way as well as viewing "blood memories" which are vignette-style flashbacks; there is no dialogue in the game, but it works really well. The castle setting is very monotone with Rose and various blood spatter being the only color in this world. If you've played the Yomawari games, you'll find that this game has a very similar feel as it's done by the same people. This game is a puzzle platformer with there being two main elements; 1) bloodied objects are the only things that can move, and Rose has the ability to transfer blood from one object to another (for example, if a bloodied rock is tumbling toward you, you can absorb the blood from it to make it stop moving before it crushes you), and 2) Rose and her Giant are two independent characters which you can control-- each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and abilities-- and you have to make them work together to solve puzzles. The puzzles in this game are not always as straightforward as it might seem, and you will end up dying a lot trying to figure out how to solve them; there's a trophy for dying 100 times and it's not even a grind to get it because it will most likely come naturally while you're playing the game. Most of the trophies in this game are fairly easy to get, with the exception being the speed run-related trophies. The collectible trophies are rather straightforward with most of the collectibles being put directly in your path, with only a few being "hidden". Other trophies require you to play levels a certain way or perform a task that is a bit out of the ordinary for regular gameplay but not actually difficult. The speed run trophies were a bit challenging, I thought. After the game is complete, you can try each level in Time Attack mode, and you have to cumulatively beat all the levels in under 80 minutes. This requires you to have a very good understanding of the level mechanics and have your routes memorized. I personally thought the time limit was daunting given that I needed to shave off over 4 hours from my time before redoing any levels, but once I started focusing on speedrunning the levels, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. After redoing my last level, I was actually about 3 minutes under the 80-minute mark, and there were a couple levels that I definitely could have done better on. One thing that I found interesting about the game is that it feels like a "grown up" version of The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince. You're playing a cute princess and using a two-character mechanic to platform your way through various puzzles. Even the trophy lists seem similar with both of them having trophies for various collectibles and speed runs. I thought this game was a perfect balance of challenging and fun. Highly recommend.

Popular Post Dr_Mayus
Plat 292 - Persona 5: Dancing in the Starlight It was so nice to revisit the world of Persona 5 again. The gameplay is what it is. I personally think Hatsune Miku has better gameplay...but that being said I am here for the characters. It was fun to see the new social link stories and to get more insight into the characters you loved from P5. A non-Persona fan will have 0 use for this game but for me it was great fun to play through

Popular Post FLCLcrim2
#149 MLB THE SHOW 19G.O.A.T.Earn all of The Show™ 19 Trophies.88 Achievers .29% Ultra Rare This game took me 1 year, 1 weeks, and 1 day to platinum. During that time It was constant highs and lows from playing Diamond Dynasty. I was enjoying DD so much that early on as I lost I would play more games and just lose even more. I deleted MLB 19 at least 4 separate times. Having given up hope that I would ever get the 800 rank needed in DD to get the "Welcome to the chip" trophy. However, since MLB 20 came out I have been doing better in DD. So I was giving it one last push. Finally I was at rank 787. Needing 13 points. I match up against a player. Take the lead 2-0 top of the first inning. Bottom of the first he gets 5 runs. Second inning he gets 2 more runs. 2-7 in the third I felt defeated, but kept playing. in the top of the 6th I get 3 runs. 5-7. Top of the 9th inning, my last chance. I get one run on and hit a 2 run Home Run. The game is 7-7 the other player quit. The game loads and I get 14 points. reaching 801. The struggle was real. This is such a hard trophy to earn if you are just average like I feel that I am. 8/10 difficulty 6/10 Enjoyment I am glad this is over. I feel very proud for getting this though.
Popular Post ZoutjeNL
#32 Thumper Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 7/10 A great rhythm violence game! I already completed this previously on the PC so I tought it would be an easy ride. But as I got older, my eyes got worse throughout the years. I only could play it for short bursts as it requires full concentration. It was harder than I remembered or probably my gaming skills are declining ? Overall most levels took a few tries but the final level took a little over an hour. Either way it was still a fun game! I unfortunately don't own VR this game would probably be awesome in VR. I am going back to something easyier and less hurtfull on the eyes... If you are up for a challenge it is a game that I can recommend though!
Popular Post Jonatosaurus
97 - Rogue Legacy Enjoyment : 9 / 10Difficulty: 6.5 / 10 It's a game that i barely tried when it was free on ps plus. And here i am, 5 years later, getting back into that game and i've had a ton of fun with it. The most challenging part of the platinum for me where Alexander the IV fight and the Thanatophobia trophie (beat the game with 15 or less death). But luckily the remix can be retried indefinitely(you just reappear at the entrance of the boss when you die) and i managed to get thanatophobia on my second try (i had a really good run with mostly hokage heir and some good traits). In short this game have a few challenge and a lot of fun so i warmly recommend it. Edited April 27, 2020 by Jonatosaurus Line break

Popular Post Dry_Plumbus
Platinum #142 Wow. So this platinum needed to happen due to the fact that FF7 is a cherished childhood memory, and before the game even released I knew I was going to plat it. HOWEVER, Well it turned out to be alot more challenging than I thought it would be. Hard mode was soul crushing at times. Most guides clocked in around 60 hours for plat, it took me 94 hours and 1 minute to complete this plat. Misinformation and lack of clear direction meant I had to figure out alot of stuff on my own which contributed to a much longer plat time. I usually wait until a game is out for awhile to platinum it, because knowledge is power. My own fault for not waiting! This is my 5th COVID 19 platinum (with a layoff to boot) & I definitely started to question my sanity with this one. 7.5/10 difficulty overall 9/10 enjoyment for first playthrough 3/10 enjoyment for 2nd run on hardmode
