Popular Post Ya_Boy_James
#30 - FALLOUT 3 Platinum Trophy Collect all other 50 Trophies for this Trophy I purposely saved the last campaign mission Take It Back! until after all other trophies and DLC (except Broken Steel which starts post-campaign) to end on a conclusive note. I spent all of last generation on the Xbox 360 and beat Fallout 3 then, but this finale was.... less epic than I recall. You can't proceed with your game if you choose the heroic or evil option, so I ultimately had to settle for the lukewarm choice of brashly telling my companion to martyr their self. Despite this, and bugs that nearly kept me in Point Lookout forever, I still love this game. There are so many surprises and narratives beneath the surface. Case in point, as I looked for a final couple of terminals to hack for Data Miner I wandered into a small town called Andale. I ask around town what people do to the effect of "Oh, I just work to put food on the table like any red-blooded American." I find a shed key in one home and decide to check inside for a terminal. Instead, this is clearly a shed where people are butchered to be eaten, and when I exit the whole town greets me, weapons raised, to ask if "I found what I was looking for." Nope! I needed a terminal lol. Surely conflict can ensue here, but you have a chance to deescalate the situation by saying "I almost grabbed a snack but that would have been rude." Nice. Not a quest. Entirely happenstance. I love these moments, feeling like you "discovered" something. Call me a sucker.

Popular Post Kiyan-13
#48 - Dead Space 3 Brave New World Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 6.5/10 Time to Plutinum(100%): ~50 Hours I liked it, but compared to the previous entries it was kinda off. Didn't really like the whole crafting system, many weapons became kinda useless and it didn't really feel like a horror game. Quite repetitive level design, even the DLC is the same maps all over again. Co-op was fan but the parts where it was mandatory were the same levels again so it didn't feel like doing something different. This apple fell away from the tree. Popular Post Fearless0610
Platinum #63 - Detroit This game was awesome. Felt like a mixture of Blade Runner and A.I. Artificial Intelligence. I was pleasantly surprised how compelling, emotional and action packed it was. I really liked the characters, setting, graphics, themes and soundtrack. The only weak link was the game-play found it a bit stiff and awkward at times. Overall a fun and enjoyable platinum solid 8/10

Popular Post Sergen
Naughty Bear: Platinum #144 Difficulty: 5/10 Time Taken: Approximately 40 hours A special thanks goes to @Darkette and @Danny_Johansen who did the online trophies with me back in December, we had a decent time playing this laggy mess and talking on the mic while doing so. I can say that the game plays significantly better in the single player compared to the online... I did most of this game without syncing it to my trophy list due to what I'd heard about glitches that could happen, it does often lag and it froze on me over 10 times, but luckily I didn't lose too many good runs over the freezes. This isn't the worst game I've played, that title still goes to PS All Stars Battle Royale. The game is extremely repetitive, but I actually prefer that due to the fact that it'd be kind of annoying to be hunting this game's trophies and need to learn new methods to get a platinum cup. The game re-uses the same 4 areas in pretty much every episode with the only difference being that the lighting sometimes changes, it was incredibly lazy game design, especially for a game that originally costed full price at retail to purchase. I played this game with the gold edition, which includes all the DLC, the DLC on the PSN Store is delisted so the only way to get the DLC now is through the gold edition. With the gold edition, in order to get the "Full Wardrobe" trophy, you must get a gold cup in the first 4 challenges in the DLC as well as get every gold cup in the base game. I initially played this game like an idiot, beating bears up with a baseball bat and killing them with an ultra kill when they had been weakened, but I quickly realized that bear traps were my best friend. For most of the challenges I would lure the enemies into a bear trap, wait for another bear to try to free them and either scare the bear trying to free them or kill them from behind, if a lot of other bears also witness this then you get a 100x multiplier and a lot of points. Aside from that, the maps have a freeze power-up that keeps your multiplier at 100x for a while, during this you can get a ton of points from smashing all the objects on the map and going inside a closet to peek out with your boo move. You need to get 28 platinum cups in the game and I've seen conflicting posts about whether DLC cups count towards the "Nutter" trophy, I did all my 28 platinum cups naturally during the base game episodes, I rarely had to re-run levels due to my score being too low and would normally pause the game and restart the episode if my score was bad or if I failed a challenge. The only challenges I can recall being difficult in this game were the Episode 4 Top Hat challenge and the Episode 10 Untouchable challenge. The Top Hat challenges give all the bears on the map a ray gun that can normally kill you in 3 hits, but you can often dodge their shots by running around, but when you use the trap method I was using, it leaves you open to being shot quite easily, so you need to try to stealthily place your traps in order to not be killed on sight. Untouchable challenges require you to never be hit, but luckily there are only 3 of them in the entire game, the episode 10 untouchable challenge was particularly difficult due to the vampire bears running very fast behind me, which would normally get me hit by them when I was trying to place a trap. I saw plenty of guides mentioning how the 250million point trophy comes naturally while you are working on the trophies, but that isn't true and if you add up all the minimum platinum scores on the game you'd see that is the case. Maybe some people take multiple attempts and go through with completing a level that is below platinum every time, I restarted a level if it wasn't going to be platinum, with the exception of top hat challenges which I only aimed for gold in. I'd say this game would deserve around a 9/10 difficulty rating if getting a platinum cup in every episode's challenges was required, 28 cups is very lenient as it allows you to skip getting a platinum cup in any top hat challenge. I will also mention that the developers of this game designed the trophy list terribly, considering the DLC trophies that require gold cups in episode 9 and 10 require your score to remain gold and if you get a platinum cup then you glitch your trophy out. I never overdid it in any DLC challenge and always got gold when I completed them, but I sure could have used those extra points toward the 250million trophy if I wasn't restricted for those trophies. Aside from getting platinum and gold cups, the rest of the list is basic miscellaneous trophies that require you to perform kills on specific enemies or complete a challenge in a specific way, the most annoying misc trophy was in the Episode 10 DLC, the one for using the BBQ on the Vampiricorn 3 times, he rarely wanted to repair the BBQ for me to perform the ultra kill on him, it took a lot of waiting around until he decided to fix it for me to perform 3 ultra kills on him. I will add a final note mentioning that the PSNProfiles guide for this game is rather lackluster regarding information about getting platinum cups. The guide writer has given the game a "4/10" difficulty rating without earning the most difficult trophies on the game, which is always a negative sign and the description for the platinum cup trophy indicates a lack of knowledge on how to accumulate score. I would recommend TrueAchievements solutions for advice with trophies on this game. Edited May 24, 2020 by Sergen
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#304: The Cat's Whiskers Holy crap, talk about a pleasant surprise. I mean, I had hoped this game would be passable for the platinum experience, but I never would've known that I'd have THIS much fun with it. I'm gonna make an odd comparison; think Sonic and the Black Knight, but done WELL. Platforming whose challenge comes from how you can perfect these sequences as opposed to simply getting through them via bad design choices, a control scheme that's a lot more intuitive simply by virtue of offering another one (IE mapping sword swings to the right analog stick), waggle-combat that encourages creativity through its basic and special moves, and a group of multiplayer games that take the best of all the story modes best moments. I am struggling to think of one bad thing about this game. ....OK, maybe it is a tad too easy. Maybe it would've been nice to skip the in-game cut-scenes and not HAVE to see them every time you replay a level, and MAYBE there exist a couple moments where the camera can hinder a perfect score on a section. But still, this game is awesome and you should play it. Edited May 24, 2020 by RedRodriguez87

Causing havoc as a shark was a ton of fun. The missions could get repetetive after a while, but thankfully the game doesn't overstay it's welcome. I thought it was a perfect length for a game like this. Getting the platinum was not a hassle at all. It's one of those games where you get the plat naturally while going for 100% completion, which i certainly appreciate ?
Popular Post snakebit10
All Done #307 Sea of Solitude A much darker game than what I was expecting. Feeling lonely can be a terrible thing, especially if you think you are the cause of it. Yes, this game touches on some touchy subject matter, but turns out with a good ending. Gameplay wise it is really simple. Just some minimal task for trophies and 2 kind of collectible trophies. I should of had this platinum a lot faster but one of the collectibles glitched on me. I had to delete my old save file and start fresh to get all the bottle collectibles. I did enjoy my first time through. Really interesting game and story. It lost some of it's appeal having to go through almost 3 times for the platinum. The second time was checking every area where bottles are and that is how I determined one had glitched on me. It was my 3rd time through on a new save that I got them all.

Popular Post Mayellie
#23 - God of War III Remastered This is the first God of War game I've properly played since the good ol' PS2 days, so I was curious about the remastered visuals, how the story was going to go, and whether it'd live up to my expectations of being as good as the God of War II I kind of remember. I'm pleased to say that it was a very fun and surprising journey! Kratos is as rage-fueled by vengeance as ever, as he rips his way through Mount Olympus, and various other well-designed levels. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot I can say about how epic the fights are due to spoilers, but they perfectly showcase the extent of Kratos' anger and destructive behaviour, while keeping the player intrigued in what's next in store. I was very impressed with the soundtracks too, since they help set the scene and make the fights even more intense. Trophy-wise, this wasn't too much of a difficult platinum, and not long either. I only needed two playthroughs, but you can get the platinum with one. The only trophies that will give you a challenge are beating the game on Titan (hard) mode, and completing the Challenges of Olympus. To be honest, some of those challenges are more luck than skill-based, but do them enough times and hopefully, you'll strike gold. Something I've always liked about the God of War franchise is that while Kratos does have his reasons for being as angry as he is, he is not necessarily portrayed as the good Samaritan protagonist who wants to "save the world", and help everyone around him. He's on his own path and that's what keeps him going. So, his story is different to most video game protagonists today who tend to be the "good guys" that fix everything, but it still makes him a likeable character because his story of guilt, closure, and hope can resonate with players. I'd have to nitpick to find a con, but I'm not a big fan of fixed camera angles. That's about it. I think GOW is a franchise you can't miss, and I'm looking forward to playing the newest! - Platinum difficulty: 7/10 -Enjoyed? Hell yes! Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Platinum trophy No. 169! Atelier Rorona ~The Alchemist of Arland~ DX Complete Double platinum for Rorona! And I'm also surprised by the rarity % (6% on PS3, 21% on PS4), but acutally I'm more shocked by the difference between the Totori platinum! Strangely, on the PS4 version the female Hom doesn't have any voice... But now you have a turbo mode for running and for the battle actions! Well, actually isn't really fast, so you shouldn't expect a turbo mode like Trails of Cold Steel (unfortunately): is just a little bit faster, but nothing more. And you can't skip the ending credits. That's right, you need 7-8 minutes for every ending (and they're 13 or 14, so you can imagine how many minutes you need to waste in order to unlock all of them). This is really a stupid choice... About the game, nothing more to add: the time limit could be very tight, but if you already know what to do it is very lenient. This time I managed to mess up a Sterk event during the 10th assignment (I simply forgot to fight the dragon! ), so I had to replay again that part. And the second Demon battle in Machina Domain is always annoying as usual... And now you can take all the screenshots you want, but most of them are pitch black pictures (unless you take them manually after 1-2 seconds). This one should have been the platinum screenshot!: Usually, if you did everything right, the platinum screenshot should be the one related to Let's meet again But at the end of the game I found that I'd missed an ending, the Esty's one, so my platinum screenshot is a stupid picture with the number of my saves: Yeah, I have 40 saves. I'm really paranoic... And in the PS3 version they were "only" 25! And I add my favourites ending pictures! #1 Normal ending. My favourite. The journey and the colors of the twilight... #2 Monster Hunter ending! I'm still thinking who's more dangerous: Cordelia with a shotgun or Aerith with a chair... #3 Very very rich ending. I really understand Rorona in this picture. Three years of hard work and a final boring grinding in Orthogalaxen, where you have to kill hundreds of mandrakes in order to reach the 1 million coles...

Fun: 8/10 Difficulty: Early 6/10 || Midgame/endgame 3/10 Time to platinum: 1 week 2 days Game of the year so far for me. The story wasn't really anything I cared about but the gameplay! The bosses are hard but fair. The RPG aspect is just amazing. You have tons of builds and everything you use seems to work! I went for a crazy glasscanon high risk high reward style and went shuriken/ninjutsu build. Currently I'm still playing to reach level 300(max level currently) So I can prepare for the upcoming DLC. Nioh 1 is still one of the few games I still don't have 100% on my list but this time I'll be prepared for whatever difficulty they will throw at me! Draps-1337
#51 Code: Realize - Future Blessings I can't tell you how disappointed I was with the sequel. For one, it's much, much shorter. And the writing is straight-up frustrating. The first 'route' if you can call it that is meant to take place in-between the scenes of the first game. yet there are new characters that not one person mentioned in the first game, and if the connection these people had really were that strong that this sequel makes out. Why did no one bring them up before... There are only two stories in the game with choices. and there is only like 3? to compound that, it doesn't even branch as the first game did... it just keeps going with slightly altered dialogue and determine whether you get the extra scene at the end... I was so impressed with the branches in the first game, they altered the ending SO MUCH that it stood out as a fantastic VN. But here. I'm left wondering. Thankfully the sequel does answer one of the biggest questions left by the first game. But was it really worth another $60 for that question to be answered? Can't say it was. I can not recommend this game for enjoyment. but it is a very easy & quick platinum.
