Popular Post saki
After a lot of procrastination, I finally decided to replay LiS as well as the prequel, which I only played on PC before. I enjoyed it so much, that I end up playing LiS 2 as well. ? Platinum #68: Life is Strange: Before the Storm Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I decided to start with the prequel to kinda follow the actual timeline. Despite being so short the story hit me so much more, than the main game. Chloe is given more depth to her character, which really makes her way more likeable and relatable (as opposed to LiS). Also, we finally get to know more about Rachel and I loved the little backstory they gave her. The backtalk mode in which Chloe has to provoke others in order to achieve her goal fit in well and was very cool. I also liked the idea of collectibles in form of graffitis. Platinum #69: Life is Strange Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Some of Max's quotes never fail to make me cringe. That aside, Life is Strange is the kind of game I can always go back to. I love the setting and the feel of the game, as well as the multifaceted story. I liked the protagonist's character developement, although sometimes Max seemed a little too brave (considering her age). But I guess if I could rewind time I would fight an aggressive drug dealer as well. Overall I like the way you are able to rewind time, but also the ability to skip already known dialogue. Platinum #70: Life is Strange 2 Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Kinda didn't feel like it belonged to the franchise, but still liked it a lot. The whole game felt like a rollercoaster ride. I liked the story, yet it often felt bland, underdeveloped and kinda lacking. The whole mistery about their missing mother just end up being totally ridiculous. And what were the developers smoking when they came up with episode 3? I definitely liked Sean's character developement, as well as the abilty to influence his little brother's behaviour. But oh my god at one point I hated this little brat so much, that I didn't want to continue playing. As for the ending, I probably did all of the wrong choices lmao, replayed the last chapter to see the 2nd ending which was kinda better I guess. I feel like the game doesn't have as much replay value as its predecessors.

Guest
Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Never got to play that jaws games as a kid so I'm glad it got a spiritual successor. I'm glad it's as relatively short as it is because any longer and it would've overstayed. Pretty cool they introduced a mini-story which adds more meaning behind what you're doing, but you're still just a shark eating stuff. Wish the gore was more intense and the frame-rate dies when there are too many boats around, as well as some random pausing and it crashed on me once, but besides that the technical stuff was fine. If you're looking into the game to see if you want it, the game is exactly what you think it's gonna be and not much more. Like others have said it's arguably not worth $40 but definitely worth it on sale. Edited May 27, 2020 by ChunkyKong64
Popular Post ZaganSebastian
I truly enjoyed this game, despite it not being as fast paced or hectic as other games I tend to gravitate to. Would definitely recommend. But if you are going for the plat, PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SAVES! I screwed up the timing of my saves and had to do more playthroughs than I would have liked.
Popular Post Viper
#188 LEGO DC Super-Villains Here's to Mischief ' I've probably said this for like...my last 3 or 4 LEGO game plats. But I'm reeeallly feeling the LEGO fatigue. This is one I was pretty excited about. I'm a super hero nut...so having a game centered around DC villains sounded too good to pass up. And ultimately...I was disappointed. The game is fun in the usual all LEGO games are fun sort of way...but the story had an opportunity to do something new and original, and instead opted to go the Suicide Squad route. Instead of playing a game from a villains point of view...they introduce more villainous villains, so our main crew of villains have to play the heroes even though they're reluctant to do so. Ball = dropped. The overall LEGO formula...it's not broken, but it needs SOMETHING. I get that these games are geared at kids, but even children would get tired of the same old thing over and over again. These are are still good if you want a quick and simple Platinum, which I was looking for after the headache that was AC Brotherhood. But like half way through Free Play the "I've been here before" feeling really kicked into over drive. I still own several more LEGO games, but it becomes increasingly more dubious to start them up. Plus in my mind I'm REALLY excited for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga...but I fear that too will just be more of the same. OH! And over the years we've talked about how bad the flying controls were in the original LEGO Marvel Super Heroes...and over time it felt like they were improving. Well TT fucked it up again...because holy hell balls Batman are the flying controls atrocious in this game. I've never felt like TT Games has become so complacent until I played this. They're really just churning out licenses at this point rather than innovating. Plus this is probably one of the least polished LEGO games I played...from various glitches to it freezing 4 times while going for one of the Gold bricks in LexCorp (I was worried I couldn't get it), to the game crashing on me several times. I really want these games to be better...because this formula works so well. But after awhile it all becomes the same, and now I feel TT are getting lazy and the games are feeling sloppy outside of the presentation.

Popular Post DarkSamurai69
#300 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 4/10 This game is awesome albeit long but I enjoyed my journey throughout. One of the best Rpg's that I've ever played. Would highly recommend if you're into this genre and high fantasy but I'm sure most people have tried this out by now. #301 Gris Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 1/10 A very pretty game and not long at all. There is a sadness to it underlying the colorful tone. An enjoyable experience.

Popular Post Undead Wolf
#317 - The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series The Long Walk Collect all Trophies It has been a while since I played through the whole series, so I figured it was time to experience it again. Playing through each season back to back without the long delay between releases gave me a whole new perspective on things. It's clear to me now that The New Frontier is the weakest of the main seasons. Not bad by any means, but I definitely overrated that back when I originally played it. S1 and S2 are the best ones, followed by S4, and then S3. Michonne and 400 Days aren't really worth discussing tbh. They're pretty forgettable. As much as I enjoy these games, I still find myself a little bit disappointed with the ending, mainly because I'm not AJ's biggest fan. Without spoiling anything, the game pretty much undoes everything I was trying to teach this kid throughout the final season and tells me I was wrong for making certain decisions. Kind of annoying, but I get what they were going for. Still loved it overall.

Popular Post Scarred_LWolf
#99 Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 20+ Hours This was one of the games that i wanted to play for so long. I remember that i saw the trailer randomly and immediately i liked it..but one day i lost its title so i had to ask some people on a forum and couldn't give clues for people to figure out until i found one character. The game itself was very fun to play and didn't really get bored. The fight style reminds me a bit of Naruto on how you use shi, using items and changing. The story felt so rushed but that it's understandable since it didn't get enough funds but i feel like they could at least put graphic comic or a bit animated... On some spots you see them mention one story and the next thing they are somewhere else and i was like what happened so it leaves some questions. My favorite characters are Chado and Rosalya as i feel like they look like they have a story to tell. The gameplay is very fun so i believe you will not get bored and its not very hard to get platinum. The fights become easier as you can find a powerful Shi later. Just before the plat, i tested the game to learn it a bit and afterwards i went ahead to try to get the plat faster and i managed to get first place. The game can be platinumed under 20h if you know what to do. Now if only they could make a sequel of it...
Popular Post Dexistential
#27: Golf with your Friends Difficulty: 3/10 Fun: 8/10 (with others), 3/10 by yourself Time: 1 day 4 hours I've been watching random Let's Plays of this game for years, so when I saw it came to console, I had to jump at the opportunity. $24 AUD is a bit steep to be honest... but I mean you know what you're buying into... it's a mini golf game. If you have the option definitely play this with friends. It's a really fun as a relaxing-yet-fustrating break from those AAA 100 hour games. Most the trophies are connected to classic mode, which is a shame. It means no collisions or jumping, but I guess it makes sense. Be sure to remember this when going for the under-par trophies (the hardest in the game). I had collisions on in a single-player run and nearly threw my controller at the wall when I realised. There are a few glitches; sometimes you might clip through a ramp, or get stuck in an impossiible area, but they're few and far between.
Popular Post Kiyan-13
#49 - Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Snake Eaten Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Time to Plutinum(100%): ~15 Hours Great game!! It is a worthy successor to the previous game with many improvements and new mechanics without changing what made MGS 2 so good. Gameplay is flawless, story and characters are well written as expected by a Kojima game. My only complain(which is a personal thing) is about trophies, I really like when a platinum requires 2 playthroughs and this trophy-list doesn't do that unfortunately for me. Quite satisfied with the overall experience! Highly Recommended!!! Edited September 28, 2020 by Kiyan-13

Popular Post GarciaFever
#200 Dragon Ball FighterZ Ok well this was completely unexpected. Originally I wanted to have Mugen Souls as my 200th platinum, and I knew that having to reach the 20 million zeni for this game was going to take a long time. At first I wasn't worrying to much about the grind since this game has a tracker on how much zeni you have collected, and 2 days ago I had approximately 16.5 million. So I figured that if I don't continue grinding, then I can meet my goals. Upon starting the game yesterday to play with my friends, I somehow received 4 million zeni (I guess due to me logging on to get the bonus) and both the 20-million zeni and platinum trophies popped. Sigh... .It is nice that they are adding things that make players gain zeni quickly, like how they added a "thank you" gift of 5,000,000 zeni (and a couple of other things) to celebrate selling 5 million copies of the game worldwide. Now I am not one for fighting games. Anything that involves having to do something tedious like trying to reach a certain rank online (looking at you 530,000 BP trophy) I try to avoid it like the plague. Upon first inspection of the trophy list before the game's release, I thought that having to reach 530,000 BP wasn't going to be too difficult. But again this is a fighting game, and sure enough all of my frustration gets revealed due to need to "git gud" by playing randoms and the occasional rage quitters. But I also noticed one thing: back in season 1 (or maybe 2?) you could be able to "boost" the online portion by playing with a friend, and have each other trade wins until the required amount (which is what I did to reach the last 130,000. It is nice that they are adding things that make players gain zeni quickly, like how they added a "thank you" gift of 5,000,000 zeni (and a couple of other things) to celebrate selling 5 million copies of the game worldwide. Ignoring the trophies and the online portion, this is by far one of the best fighting games that I have ever played. As of season 3, almost all of the characters are very good and easy to learn (aside from the bullshit mashing that all Vegito players do), and I would argue that the meta is irrelevant (by this I mean that everyone isn't stuck to using 2-5 characters to win games all the time). The story is long and extremely boring since you end up fighting some difficulty variation of the cast to unlock Android 21, SSBlue Goku, and SSBlue Vegeta (or just buy them as DLC instead ). The visuals and graphics are superb, and, although a bit questionable with regards to the colors, I never get tired of watching the destructive finishers never (except for watching Bardock's level 3, it sucks, especially with him yelling "Prepare to die!"). Of course everyone in the community keep on sending messages to the developers for the inclusion of more stages, but to me that is just something minor and almost non-existent. Music is good, but gets tiring. Overall, I would recommend this fighting game to those whom are fans of the genre, or are fans of the Dragon Ball series in general, but be prepared to waste around 300 hours to get the platinum.
