Popular Post Bumperklever
#122 Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle (PS4) Crossing Fate Date Achieved: 31 May 2020Rarity: Rare (18-19%)Enjoyment: 8/10 Cross tag battle is a crossover spin-off blazblue game. The mechanics are quite fun and accesable to play with (moreso then the more hardcore arcsys fighters). The rest is just what you expect from a fighter like this. The gimmick been the crossover aspect is a great idea that they should do more. And the trophies are the easiest I have seen from a game like this. If you care about that. I did the tactics mode with yukiko Amagi, her actions are a bit delated imo, but the combo's are easy to pull off.

Popular Post FinalFan
#100 FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE (PS4) Here I am, finally! Important milestone implies important game. While it's not perfect, I enjoyed most of my time in this enhanced part of Midgar. First thing to be said, the game is incredibly beautiful! Damn, those details on faces (go back Yakuza, you're drunk ?), it's amazing, stunning! ? As I played original game not-so-long-ago, I managed to spot quick tributes here and there, it's obvious fanservice for sure, but it still works. While I didn't really enjoyed the combat system on my first run (53h30), for some reason, I found it better on my hard playthrough. This hard mode is not really hard to be honest, as long as you're keeping an eye on your party's health and you know how to manage your MPs. Obviously, Spoiler the hardest fight was versus Bahafrit on Top Secret VR Mission, then, the infamous Hell House from chapter 9. Also, I have to say I played the hard mode honestly. I mean I did the Top Secret VR Mission as my final trophy because I knew its reward would break the game balance, making it pointless from my view. ? The camera can quickly be a pain at times, but you'll have to deal with it. ? I won't say anything about the story here, while I welcomed some additions (especially at the beginning), some others near the end could be annoying, I'm referring to chapters 13 & first half of chapter 17 like everyone, I guess. Mini-games were fun and I'm actually happy they were left untouched. Worth to mention @Bushido_Cypher and his topic / video explanation for the Biker Boy ?️ . It really helped me to understand how to deal with it (on normal). I'd say my time would be around 109h30, then game mastered ? in 113h30. Popular Post SirWaWa
Trials of Mana I really enjoyed this remake. Remixed music is excellent and the graphics are great, it has a dragon quest feel too it. Bright, colorful and the art style compliments the mana series perfectly. The gameplay and story is okay, I don't like the new ring system and there's alot of loading screens but not very long. There a minor texture loading issues on scene transitions but I suspect it's due to the unreal 4 engine. I highly recommend this as a beginner RPG. The difficulty is very newbie friendly and the combat system relatively simple. Where to go next is very friendly, just follow the map. This feature here makes it so beginner friendly and keeps time wasting to a minimum, however even with this, the story pacing is still too slow. For an action RPG it's not too fast paced or stressful. The story has lots of tragedy and is darker than the presentation makes it appear. It's too bad the story content and direction of the scenes don't properly flesh out these past events. Took me less than 49 hours including all combined 3 playthrough's. New game plus is too op, what carries over is complete godsend. On third playthrough most of my equipment and level 99 characters carried over. So I just ran literally to each checkpoint and boss. Overall great remake but far from perfect.
Popular Post Masamune
True Warrior of the 3 Kingdoms Obtain all of the trophies in the game. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Playtime: N/A (3 weeks, 3 days, 6 hours) Screenshot: Spoiler A lot easier than I expected, especially for a UR (& my first DW game). There's a couple annoying things you have to do to unlock some of the 6-star weapons, but it's very doable. You do have to do a ton of battles for the plat though (collecting all 82 6-star weapons, completing all stages on Ultimate, getting A ranks, & complete all goals), you'll be doing every stage multiple times... I didn't see where the game tracks your playtime, but I'd guess it took me around 90 hours (around 500 battles)? Other than the large amount of battles, that hardest part for me was probably just clearing the Arena Challenge (which actually has a lower score to beat on the Vita version), I really had to abuse the Halberd switch ability to clear that one. ? When I first started playing, I was a little worried about how the Ultimate difficulty would be, but once I capped out a character & maxed a couple 6-star weapons, it became a joke. ? This was my final setup that I was quite happy with:
Popular Post WayfarerFox
#161 - Lara Croft GO Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 Hadn't planned on playing this one at all for a while to be honest but a great friend of mine suggested. So I thought I'd follow in her footsteps and get it done around the same time. The games not too bad actually. There games basically get from A to B without getting killed by any of the enemies, debris, traps, anything at all. It starts off really basic, paths are simplistic and easy for the most part. The difficulty does gradually go up as you go further into it but some of the paths are really well done and you do have to think about how to get from one section to the next which is good. It's honestly a straight forward game where you will have to use your brain a little bit. There's not much of a story though, there's no text overview, narrator or even any voice acting in it really. Just your typical grunts and stuff. It's still a cool game though regardless. Trophies are pretty straight forward, complete the chapters, get all the collectibles and a few misc ones that should just come naturally. Nothing to worry about really, I mean trophy rarity says it all right? It's worth giving a go if you want to play something chilled after a big game or want to build up the trophies for the milestones. #162 - Assassin's Creed Origins Difficulty: 3/10 (I used the season pass level 45 boost) Enjoyment: 9/10 Now what can I say about this game, it's definitely different to the older AC games in terms of practically everything. From this basic customisation 2 type of weapon dealing assassin to this outlandish master of all weapons warrior. Very very different approach when it comes to the gameplay and combat. Not sure how many people liked the transition but I really enjoyed it. I think it needed it to be honest. The older games were getting a little repetitive. Cool in terms of stories but when it came to gameplay there wasn't a ton different from the older games back in the day in my opinion. Obviously they gradually got better but this one is really good in my opinion. I honestly don't think I mastered the combat that well to be honest. I played this with the season pass so as soon as I left Siwa I was able to jump straight to 45 so I guess I didn't really need to learn this time around? I mean, I could of set the enemies to level with me or played on a higher difficulty but I didn't feel like it this time. I'll learn better though for when I start Odyssey (hopefully) In terms of the setting, I might be a bit biased but like mentioned in the post above. I saw my best friend play this game not a month ago and I loved how everything was so I pushed it up on the to-do list. Luckily last year they travelled to Egypt so I was able to see some of the sights from the game but 2000 years beforehand, things haven't changed much I must say that! It's gorgeous though. This has to be the best looking AC game to date. Everywhere was colourful and really stood (again, haven't played Odyssey yet so can't compare) I doubt it will grasp me as much as Ancient Egypt does. You play as Bayek a Medjay which is a protector of the pharoah and all of the people of Egypt. A life changing event happens to him and his wife and thus unravels the origins of the Broterhood we all know and love. It's really interesting how it all started out and the first two mentors were really great characters. There was a love story entwined in here, I didn't like how it played out in Unity but it felt much more natural with Bayek and Aya. They were great characters who always treated each other with respect even when their paths took them elsewhere. One thing I didn't like was it was really abrupt in terms of story. It did feel a bit more like a hitman game in that sense. You'd get your target, send him to Anubis and then be on to the next one. Not much structure to it. You'd do a mission beforehand to reveal the identity but that was about it. The game would force you to do side missions in order to level up before the next target but I didn't really have to do that. The modern day segments are still everywhere it seems, more people we don't really care about and I must say the voice acting in the modern day stuff was pretty tragic in my opinion. I don't know the guy who voiced Bayek but he was brilliant, right emphasis and enthusiasm at the right time. Hope he gets more voice acting gigs! I felt that the parkour seemed to be watered down a little bit, holding X to climb and stuff was a welcome addition to be honest but it was the simple things. When jumping across stuff in the older games if you held R1 you'd go further and such, with this one it just wouldn't happen and the amount of times Bayek fell to his death over small jumps kinda felt annoying to me. I didn't like the fact they took away the vault button as well. When you run at a small fence or something in the older ones holding circle you'd do some move over them to keep the pace and never slow down. This one, not so much. It still works most of the time though. The clear the map trophy was a little overkill in my opinion, the world has so much in it but only varies between a few objectives. Animal liar, camps, treasure locations. It just felt unnecessary to have so much. Every part of the world is gorgeous though so that kind of made up for it but it did make everything a bit of a slog, you could probably spend more time doing that then actually playing the story. Can't complain with side quests either, theres probably way too many but they all had some variety and offered some great stories to be honest. The DLC was a little confusing in some parts in all honesty. The first part wasn't so much. You basically did what you had be doing through the main game anyway with a nice new section to work through and explore. The curse of the pharaohs was pretty confusing as well. There was like 2 story lines going on at the same time which all connected but it felt so weird. I can't really explain it. I honestly can't say much more than that without spoilers but you do get to meet some pretty cool enemies and go to some nice places to conclude the journey of Bayek. I feel they kind of left it right at the start of the Assassin's stuff, Bayeks charter seemed to be a complete mess so it would of been interesting to see what happened afterwards similar to how they showed Ezio in Brotherhood after 2. It would of been nice to see them all after a while. Overall, a really decent change to the style of game and seeing the birth of the order. Definitely would recommend it if you haven't played it already.

Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #57 - Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 Difficulty Rating 3/10 Enjoyment Rating 6/10 Rare - 19.66% Back when I first played the original Hyperdimension Neptunia on PS3 nearly three years ago, I might of been a little too generous in how I praised its game design. I played it out of obligation and wanted to like it really bad because everyone else did. For the most, I do like it. It was a unique experience for me at the time and I still have my PS3 copy to this day. It’s rough around the edges, sure, but I had a decent time with it. I told myself I would play the remake someday to see if it could rope me back into the franchise. Here I am, finished with the remake.. and I dare say.. I prefer the PS3 version over this one. It felt to me like this version had more glaring issues than the original. If there was anything I would say the remake did better, it’s the battle music.. but that’s it. Everything else just cheapened the experience, it seriously felt to me like the Dollar Tree of RPGs. A lot of things were dragged out and felt like an absolute chore. Allow me to explain. Everything you do in this game is governed by the “Remake System.” It’s an option within the menus where you spend points to unlock dungeons and various other paths. Doesn’t sound too bad on paper, but you need these points for other things.. like party members, especially if it’s the platinum you’re going after. You’ll be jumping in and out of dungeons all over the place to find invisible blueprints in order to spend points on to unlock even more dungeons to find several different items.. UGH, it’s just not fun at all ? The PS3 original had no such system, you just played dungeons and unlocked things normally along the way.. like you should! Grinding was less tedious and felt more balanced in the original as well. I couldn’t tell you how many times I had to stop and go level up between bosses in Re;Birth1. I would expect SOME grinding, but not all the freaking time! Half the dialogue in Re;Birth1 is voiced, and the other half is not. Like, what the hell happened? Did they just say screw it altogether? It makes all those silent text boxes extremely brain numbing to read through. Because let me tell you, the story is nothing great or exciting. The characters are cute and charming, yes. You know.. when you can actually hear them! But the scenarios they get themselves into are nothing incredible. A lot of missed opportunity here. These characters deserve better. Time for a little positivity ? This game is filled with many cuties. Such as the female embodiments of several video game publishers/developers. One girl that comes to mind is Falcom. She is a female version of Adol Christin from the Ys series, and I love me some Ys. It’s safe to say that I really love Falcom for who she is and the type of games she pumps out to this very day Another girl I’m fond of is Compa, who plays a much bigger role in the story. She has a gentle personality, big boobs, boots, plaid skirt, sweater, long hair, what’s not to like? In fact, she is my PSN avatar to this very day. To say have a connection with her would be putting it mildly ? And of course, you gotta love Neptune & Noire for their abundance of preciousness ❤️ I don’t really have much advice to offer if you plan on tackling this game. A lot of patience and perseverance is required to see it through to the end. Not a hard game, just a tedious one. Take this guide I found. Sooner or later, you’ll be typing in dungeon names, material names and enemy names to get where you need to go. I highly doubt this will be the last Hyperdimension Neptunia game I play. The girls always seem to get me coming back for more. I hear the sequels incorporate the Remake System as well, and that makes me shudder. Maybe one of the spin-offs will help my outlook on the series. Regardless, I’m certain Neptune and I will cross paths again, ready and waiting to consume plenty of pudding in between many new adventures ?

Popular Post StraightVege
Director of the FBC #226 This is the first Remedy title I had played since Max Payne 2 way back in 2003, so I was kind of looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I found myself underwhelmed. I was never a big fan of Sam Lake's fever dream logic storytelling style, and Control has the "New Weirdness" cranked up to maximum. Alternate dimensions, otherworldly beings, ordinary objects possessed by supernatural forces, and of course, a shadowy government organization attempting to keep it all under wraps. For some reason, this Federal Bureau of Control decided to make their headquarters in an ancient structure that magically shifts itself into different shapes, and they take orders from a board of unknown interdimensional beings... Sure, whatever. I can't deny the creativity, but it's not really my thing. The game tries so hard to be strange that I actually had to scoff and shake my head a few times. Combat is typically Remedy's strong suit. Here, it's reminiscent of the recent Infamous games, only less interesting. There's little point to using anything besides Launch (telekinesis) and Shatter (the shotgun), since those damage the enemy far more effectively than the other options. Fancy particle effects and destructible environments make the fighting visually spicy, but cause the frame rate to chug, even on a PS4 Pro. Dying sucks, because load times to return you to the previous checkpoint are pretty lengthy, and some bosses commonly subject you to cheap deaths. Control isn't very challenging after a few upgrades, but being blindsided by a nearly one-hit kill attack isn't rare enough in general. Navigation can be very frustrating, thanks to a totally worthless map that doesn't belong in a modern game—you can't even check which floor you're on, or see what doors are left to unlock, and that's especially bad when the player is often forced to backtrack after earning new abilities. It's usually better to ignore the map and rely on the in-game signs for guidance, but that isn't a perfect solution, as the main entrance to an area is frequently blocked off or locked. I have to mention the character faces, too: they suffer from serious uncanny valley syndrome, with the protagonist looking like she's having a stroke half the time. It's really off-putting. I was extremely impressed with the use of lighting and the art design, though! In fact, the Ashtray Maze section was one of my favorite gaming moments in a while. Disappointing that the rest of the experience didn't quite affect me in a similar manner. I had an okay time with it, but I expected more. Popular Post Intoner_Zero
Plat #145: Marvel's Spiderman A fun and mostly easy game with an obvious quality budget behind it. It's a good game, but I didn't LOVE it. Was never that invested in superhero series even though I've watched a fair portion of them throughout my life, but I probably prefer Marvel's stuff over DC. Swinging throughout NYC is great and just walking on the streets having NPCs react to you is fun too. Having a myriad set of suits to wear, along with a mix and match of different skills to equip, is interesting to experiment with and having more than one combat style to favor on is quite easy to do. I actually liked doing the collectables and JJJ's recordings were hilarious lol. Completing crimes in every district is repetitive though, and can't say I liked doing the challenges that much. In particular, Screwball, while totally reflective of time the game's based on, she's just plain damn obnoxious. One of her challenges was a bit buggy in one of the DLCs, kept having to restart it ugh. The DLCs were pretty well done, have to say I liked The Heist the best. Popular Post CrimsonMercury
36 Deus Ex Mankind Divided #CantKillProgress Difficulty: 3.5/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 I love stealth games and this was an absolute joy to play. At first I didn't expect the mix of fps and tps gameplay to work out but it did, wonderfully. The augmentations are what sets its gameplay apart from the rest and the open-ended level design adds loads of replayablity to the game. I do feel like the story was cut short though, what should have been the middle of the game was actually the end of it. But the interesting side missions more than make up for what the main story lacks. And the "A Criminal Past" dlc was amazing. Trophy wise, it's a very complicated platinum for sure. With so many missable trophies and major consequences for small mistakes, it can become stressful at times. Luckily, you can save the game just about anywhere and you're allowed 40 save slots, so that makes things a little easier. You gotta love that platinum name though Edited June 1, 2020 by CrimsonMercury

What an annoying trophy was that, I personally never played flappy bird and after this trophy I am happy I never did I almost had ten within an hour of trying but died on the last ladder eventually got it after and day. Besides that the game was fine (I will not mention the amount of glitches) I didn't expect it to be anything more then that.
