Popular Post chickenbaltipie
#85 - Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I enjoyed most of ths game very much with the excpetion of the removal of some checkpoints on the hardest difficulty. I lost about 30 mins progress at one point and almost gave up. Made me question/second guess some of the choices i was making then when hesitation steps in you start to make mistakes. Not sure why they chose this as a difficuly mechanic it just adds to frustration more than anything else. Having said that i enjoyed the continued story in this reboot and it's rare for me to want to do the collectables without a guide but actually liked the way they were done.
Popular Post cronocyde
Platinum #144: Maneater (PS4) First trophy: 24th May 2020 12:54:06 PM Time to platinum (real time): 1 week, 1 day, 10 hours Time to platinum (in game time): 10 hours Platinum rarity (PSNProfiles): 42.57% Game rating: 7/10 Trophy rating difficulty: 3/10 Oh boy, where do I start with this? Let me say this first: the game is extremely fun and I loved the time I spent with it. It's very unique and an experience I never experienced before and that's pretty rare in this day and age. The issue is: it's very buggy on PS4. Like... extremely buggy. Framedrops all the time, losing saves, collectibles not counting, glitch platinum, etc... So if you're interested in buying this game on PS4, hold on a couple weeks until everything is fixed. The game's is very much worth the wait, you won't be disappointed when everything's fixed.
Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Platinum trophy No. 170! Atelier Totori ~The Adventurer of Arland~ DX First-rate adventurer Second chapter of the Arland DX trilogy! But moving from the Rorona Plus/DX into this game could be a little bit traumatic, since this game seems very old, especially for the menu navigation and the search functions (which are very useless, since you don't have an option for finding a peculiar trait...). This was the most annoying aspect of the game, but the story is really interesting, and also the world exploration: there are a lot of areas, and it was really nice revisiting some place that I'd already seen in Atelier Lulua, like the Ancient Monastery, the Golden Plains, the Stein Hill with the platform sections , the Rolling Hill, the Forgotten Village with the mist. And the part where you travel on the sea and explore the different islands was really fun (but I forgot to bring a powerful bomb in order to advance and reach the eastern continent, so I had to reload the previous save...?). And finally I also met the little Piana in the snowy village! About the final boss in the demon tower I have a (stupid) idea, maybe there's a relationship bewteen Evil Face and Ficus... The soundtrack of this game is different from most of the other Atelier games: I found it sadder and nostalgic, like Following the footsteps (Forest and Plain), but also The peaceful ruins and The decaying monaster. If someone is interested, I add a couple of tracks! Unlike the previous game, in order to unlock every ending, you need to trigger the final flag of the character you chose, see the ending, reload the previous file and do the same thing for every ending. Then, for the true ending, you need to trigger all of them... And this time you can skip the ending credits, but not the final long cutscene... And you can't take the trophy screenshots related to the endings, so I took my platinum one with my camera (Zestiria was a good training for this...) But some other ending were really fun! #1 "friends forever?" ending. I really liked Mimi, and I was really happy that I could see her again in Meruru! #2 FF VII Remake ending: Aerith vs Tifa in Train Graveyard. Sorry for the long title, but it was the first thing I though when I saw this ending! Poor Sterk...? #3 Chims everywhere ending. Nothing to add about them... Except that I forgot to remove the command bar. By the way, I also took a break from the Atelier games and I decided to try Ys: the Oath in Felghana on Nightmare difficulty. Surely this is the hardest Ys game among the ones I've played (is followed by Ys Origin), since some bosses are really brutal on this difficulty (but all of them kill you in 3-4 hits!). Then I tried also the Nightmare Boss rush (the single fights, not the entire boss rush): for most of them I was 1 level above during my run, bur for the final boss I discovered that I was 2 levels above... And I'm still not able to dodge his fire balls, especially when you're on the ice platform. Nothing to say about the ost: amazing! Shock of the Death God is really godd for facing these huge bosses! And these are my times: Note that I have really long times for the two fire dragon bosses: the fire eater Guilen (which is really annoying) and the fire dragon Gyalva (which has the worst battle design, based also on RNG). But this game was really fun, and I hope Falcom decides to bring the old Ys games on PS4. P.S. Sorry for the long post, but the spoiler tags didn't work.? Popular Post RoastedPeanut
Platinum #67 - Shantae and the Seven Sirens Time to platinum - 12 hours spread across 5 days Game rating - 8/10 Trophy rating difficulty - 3/10 A new Shantae game! I read about it quite awhile ago but then completely forgot all about it so it was a pleasant surprise to stumble across it a few hours before release. It plays just like it's predecessors, but I'm a big fan of the Shantae series and these sort of classic side scrolling metroidvania adventure games. Really reminds me of my childhood playing the Wonder Boy series, so my rating was always going to be a bit biased. I thought the combination of doing both speedrun trophies and the trophy for not upgrading your health would be a bit more challenging, but it wasn't the case. One thing though, especially going for 100% item completion and being a backtracking metroidvania game, it would have been great if things you discover early on but can't collect due to not having an ability would be marked on the map rather than trying to remember where everything is scattered, but hey I managed so no major issue. Bring on another Shantae game!

Popular Post TheMCofWumbology
# 24 - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Legend Obtain all trophies. Date Achieved: June 3, 2020 Rarity (at the time of posting): 5.45% (Very Rare) Time to Platinum: 4 years, 5 months Enjoyment - 9/10 Difficulty - 5/10 After 4 years and 5 months (December 31, 2015 - June 3, 2020), I finally got the Platinum trophy for this game! You might be wondering why did it take me so long to Platinum this game. At first, I was hesitant due to the repeat missions (the ones with the Total Stealth, Subsistence, and Extreme handicaps) and a lot of the missions tasks looked very daunting to me. I then burned out on the game for awhile, not touching it for 4 years. But then one day, I was like "why the heck not" and I decided to reinstall the game and finish what I had started: willing my way into obtaining the remaining trophies on the path to the Platinum. After watching some video guides and doing some improvisation when it came to doing the repeat missions, I was able to capture all of the animal species and S-rank every mission, but most importantly, complete all of the mission tasks, albeit with some moments when I screwed up, leading to some frustrating moments. Nonetheless, it's a Platinum trophy that's been 4 years in the making, and I would say it is one of my most proudest Platinum trophies that I've ever achieved! As a huge fan of the Metal Gear series, it was a blast playing through from beginning to end! Its a damn shame what the series has become after this game and Kojima's departure from Konami...especially Konami and their fall from grace after this game's release.

Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #61 - Corpse Party: Blood Drive (European Version) Finality - Obtained all other trophies. 1,559 Owners - 284 Achievers for a percentage of 18.22% (average completion; 29.15%) Enjoyment; 5/10 Difficulty; 2/10 Trophies; 3/10 (four different bits of artwork, but some interesting names) Appetite for more horror games; 0/10 More in-depth post in my Trophy checklist. Right, Corpse Party: Blood Drive. The EU version, specifically. I hate horror, I hate gore, but this game's amount of nasty stuff was less bad than the cover and marketing makes it look; chibi style anime girls and guys running around a handful of recycled levels in a spooky school. Honestly, this game should have just been a regular VN rather than hamfist in this low budget exploration stuff, but what can you do? I found a cheap physical copy pre-lockdown, it was considered a relatively straightforward Platinum, and it fit perfectly into my schedule of getting 65 Trophies each month (no more, no less). The guides on this site and PSTrophies are fine, but hot damn did this guide save me; step by step walkthrough with directions and all collectibles included - a real lifesaver allowing me to switch off my brain (as if it isn't in standby mode most of the time anyway). Whoever wrote it is a hero. Would I recommend this game to you all? Depends; if you own a PS3 and/or PS4, no, don't, but if you only have a Vita and are pining for more games, do pick it up. Yes, it's very rough around the edges and decidedly low budget, but then you don't have much choice on Vita anyway. Nabbing Platinum will bring your average rarity % down a little bit, so it's worth a look if only for that. Just use the guide, mash R throughout all the dialogue, and you will be fine. Oh, and if you're a fan of horror, definitely get it. I might hate the genre but I think this game will tickle your fancy. Most difficult Trophies were 'Release' (find all of the frustrating corpse tag collectibles), 'Purity' (don't find/use any talisman items in chapter 9), and 'Obliteration' (use all talisman items in chapter 9 to completely decimate the spirit population). Those latter two are especially a pain as they force you to replay chapter 9, which is the nastiest in the whole game due to a bunch of swinging blades cutting you down in the final section - really no fun at all. There are only four different Trophy tiles used across 38 Trophies (1 Plat, 5 Gold, 8 Silver, 24 Bronze - nice mix), one for each type with three of them (Gold/Silver/Bronze) being simply recolours of one another and the Platinum tile being a screenshot of one of the game's key items. At least the pretentious one word names for a lot of the Trophies ('Outspokenness', 'Reconciliation', 'Imperator', and, finally, 'Finality'). are worth a chuckle. Onward to Senran Kagura Estival Versus now - finally a game I actively want to play! Edited June 3, 2020 by Golem25

Popular Post Sergen
BattleFantasia: Platinum #146 Difficulty: 7/10 Time Taken: Approximately 30 hours Yet another fighting game platinum for my collection . This game truly shits out ultra rare trophies for very simple tasks, but there are still some frustrating and difficult trophies that are on the list. The main trophy that people bring up when they talk about this game is "You Want Me To WHAT?" which requires you to defeat Deathbringer while he is in his final form in arcade mode while parrying the apocalypse flame attack fully without taking damage and defeating him. The parry is what people would complain about as the timing is fairly strict and requires you to parry 22 hits of it, if you get hit once and he breaks the parry then it's over for your run of the trophy there and you need to restart the fight by letting him kill you. It took me around 4 hours of trying to get the parry trophy and I did over 1,000,000 damage to Deathbringer while attempting it, so that was my first trophy on the game, but only 40 minutes after my first trophy I successfully beat Deathbringer and got the trophy. I did successfully parry the apocalypse flame multiple times, but I am rusty at QCF x2 motions and sometimes failed to punish Deathbringer with a high damage attack and he'd grab me out of it, which would make me fail, it was kind of frustrating to mess up punishing him when that's not supposed to be the hard part, but this game did eventually make me stop being rusty at those kinds of moves when a lot of the requirements for story mode force you to finish off opponents with your special move. I did the You Want Me To WHAT? trophy with Coyori which was the same character my friend Aexzia used, the reason for using her for the trophy is because she has an air dash which helps you get out of the corner, it is bad to be stuck in the corner with Deathbringer because he can do some unpredictable attacks to you there. One time I did the full parry twice and failed the trophy due to taking chip damage later, that was frustrating but I didn't let the trophy stress me out too much as I knew what I was getting myself into. Aside from the parry trophy, the other annoying trophies are "Leonidas" for getting 30 wins in survival mode and the hit combo related trophies for some of the characters. I once failed survival at 29 wins because the AI becomes hit or miss, either they block all your stuff or they are open to all of it, if they blocked all my stuff then they'd often punish with a lot of damage against me and I attribute my success in the mode to luck rather than skill. I used Deathbringer for the cheesing of survival mode, because his horse dash move (HCB + ) does a good amount of damage and can be charged up to go through enemies who are attacking you, on top of that you can also increase your power with QCB + to do more hits with the horse dash move. The survival method also makes doing arcade on the hardest difficulty a cakewalk. Aside from the tough trophies, most other trophies are misc trophies requiring you to do a specific thing with a character, such as winning a match with 1 HP left or defeating a specific character with another character's special move, these ones are self-explanatory and don't require any effort and still mostly give you an ultra rare trophy just for doing them. The online trophies are known to be glitched on this game and sometimes not unlock, luckily they unlocked when I expected them to and I think the solution is to never quit the game while doing the trophies, you'll inevitably disconnect with your partner or alt account while boosting player match wins in a row, but as long as you sign out of PSN if you do disconnect without also closing the game down, you'll be able to continue working on the player match wins. The online is short and simply requires you to win 100 player matches and 60 ranked matches, I did self boost these trophies. The most boring and tedious part of the trophy list comes from getting 100% gallery completion, which requires you to complete the story mode with all 12 characters 2 or more times to get alternate paths to their story by fulfilling requirements in battles named "Gachi Battles", these battles often have a requirement such as winning by time out or winning with your super move and if you do the requirement then your opponent line-up in the story mode will change for that run. Story mode runs often took 30 minutes to an hour per character and I skipped all the dialogue as I wasn't interested in anything for this game except its trophies. Aside from the story requirements in the gallery, some of the miscellaneous trophies have their own gallery items and you must complete arcade mode with every character. I found out early that this game doesn't automatically enable auto save so you must turn it on yourself in the options menu, if you don't do that then you can lose a lot of progress by closing the app and I've read some horror stories of people who lost a lot of progress due to not turning on auto-save. Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 4/10 As a huge Dragon Ball fan; I absolutely love this game. By far my most favorite Dragon Ball fighting game. Arc System Works really knows how to make fun, awesome and beautiful looking fighting games and this game is no exception. Even after 2 years since DB FighterZ release; I keep coming back to this game just to play some online matches from time to time. Popular Post hittheroadbucky
Difficulty 2/10 Enjoyment 9/10 This is the latest game from my backlog that I’ve worked through. I got it at launch but didn’t really do much after the intro. I restarted with my boyfriend playing through at the same time as me which was a lot of fun. Story wise this was my favourite Far Cry game. I loved the missions and the characters and the ending was so good! The most difficult part for me were the final missions in Johns region, but that might have been because it was the first region I cleared so I didn’t have that many decent weapons or the health boosts. Trophy wise there was nothing too difficult, it was your standard Far Cry list. To get the plat you actually had to complete very little of the game to get it. If I didn’t do as many of the side activities and missions I would have got it a lot sooner. That being said it was nice knowing missions I didn’t really want to do I could skip and not worry about it. The multiplayer trophies were by far the worst part of the list for me. It took about 5 hours boosting because the Arcade Enthusiast glitched so we ended up playing way more than 10 games on featured maps. Playing normally might have been more fun but in a private lobby with just 2 plays a death match is pretty dull. Overall though I loved it and I’m glad that I finally got around to it ?
Popular Post Cave Johnson
新次元ゲイム ネプテューヌVⅡR トロフィーコンプリート 全てのトロフィーを取得。 After way too long, I finally went back and finished this. I'm not entirely sure how it ended up this way, but I guess I got distracted by other games and kept putting this one off. There are a lot of negatives to list, like the fact that VIIR is mostly a downgrade from the original, or that it never needed to exist in the first place. However, instead of writing some long-winded rant about why I hate the game, myself, and the trophy list (it sucks), I'm going to try to focus on the positives. Even though it's a re-release with pointless VR sections added and questionable gameplay changes, the story and characters are mainly the same. I should add that it's been quite a few years since I played the original. Because of this, there's a strong chance I could be remembering some things incorrectly. Personally, I'd rank VII as the third or fourth best game in the series. A few downgrades aren't enough to make it terrible; it's still a good game. Nepgear saying 「ぴょん」 when jumping is really cute. Actually, Nepgear in general is just cute, and Uni as well; I love them both. That has nothing to do with what I was talking about before, but halfway through writing this I stopped caring. Anyway, this ended up being my 125th platinum. I didn't have anything else lined up nor did I care to platinum something else. I still have a lot of love for this series, (the main games, at least) so I'm okay with it. Platinum screenshot: Spoiler

Guest
Platinum #125 Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 Genuinely one of my favorite games ever. Chaotically stupid and never apologizes for it. Never truly tries to be serious, besides the bad/sad ending you can choose, and unshamefully lets you kill people with a dildo. The story is aggressively over the top with moments you didn't know you wanted and a world that's fun to be in. The jokes are at times forced and don't always land, but it always made me smile. I don't know if it was the same as the PS3 version but co-op was very glitchy with being pulled out of cars, enemies not spawning and missions not ending, and even the game crashing all happened often enough to be a bother, but playing single player is still relatively perfect. The customization is top-notch for both the characters and cars, as well as the upgrades for both your character and your guns are actually useful and goes beyond the basic "more damage/more ammo/more hp" stuff most games have. No trophies were truly a drag besides the one in which you have to do all of the challenges. A lot of the challenges are stupidly grindy, aka kill a guy 50 times or blow up a type of car 50 times, but were still doable. For $40, you even get all of the DLC that came with the original game that I haven't even gotten to and it's been close to 35 hours.

Popular Post starcrunch061
Plat #386: Grand Kingdom Hero of Resonail Congratulations on getting all the trophies! Grand Kingdom. More like Sham Kingdom. The game tries to pretend it's a Disgaea-type grinder where, with enough effort, you'll be able to craft the party of your dreams, with around 17 classes and numerous skills. In reality, many classes are god-awful (with some bordering on unusable), and while you certainly can grind out a character with top aptitudes, it's ultimately irrelevant, since you can only learn skills for your particular class, and can only max out around 4 or 5 of those aptitudes anyway. And while you'll fight battle after battle after battle, they're all pretty much the same. Paladin. Valkyrie. Pretty much everyone uses these (except for the jerk-offs who used 4 challengers). The game used to have an online war of sorts, but it too was a sham. Most of the time, you were just fighting bots of people's uploaded parties. The game starts by feeling kind of fun, but after 90 hours or so (my time to plat), it was little more than a drag. Plat #387: Akiba's Beat Beat Akiba's ACQUIREd all other Akiba's Beat trophies. Slightly unfinished, and pretty white bread, Akiba's Beat nonetheless was a relatively entertaining diversion, though the plat was a bit long-winded (it took me about 70 hours). The localization is strange. I wouldn't call it good, but it's not bad. At least, it feels like some effort was put into it. Some parts of the game just don't seem to have any purpose whatsoever. You can equip trading cards to power yourself up. These cards give you titles, which you can connect via various mathematical symbols and other nonsense. There are a ton of these "modifiers", but as far as I can tell, they do nothing whatsoever for you. I was also sad that, although the trading cards play a role in the plot of the game, and supposedly tell a story through their flavor text, none of the flavor text was provided. Still, I enjoyed my time mostly with it.

And it was nice practice for WWII, which I'll be starting soon... The trophies aren't too difficult, all missions on Veteren were manageable apart from Safehouse, which caused frustration. Even Mile High Club is doable with some practice. I managed to do it three times after developing a good strategy.
