Popular Post Intoner_Zero
#146: Control + The Foundation DLC ? Well, that was interesting. If you're into series like The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, The X-Files, Twin Peaks, etc and New Weird genre, then you might like this. The beginning narrative really drew me in and it kept at it while I was exploring The Oldest House's Brutalist setting, but toward the end it kinda felt a little rushed and lacking. The Foundation provided more meatiness post-game, but it still left more questions than answers. I totally dug all the collectable files and media; the paranormal entry data really elevated the world building, but I can totally see how it would be boring for people not into that subject. The game's combat can be pretty fun, but I really died more than I liked and that was totally due to not changing my service weapon's/personal mods load outs appropriate to the battle situations. The side missions were pretty cool and you definitely can tackle any leftovers once you finish the main campaign. And omg, the Yoshimi Tokui mission has Hideo Kojima voicing it lol. So yeah, can't wait whenever the AWE DLC drops! Surprisingly, I've never played Alan Wake but I do know of the game and its reputation. I'll have to remedy that someday. And remember, "you are a worm through time/the thunder song distorts you/happiness comes/white pearls, but yellow and red in the eye..."

Popular Post BadRep24
PLATINUM #25 J-STARS Victory VS+ Collect all trophies. Difficulty: 4/10 Fun: 10/10 Rarity: 5.53% (Very Rare) Time to cement Platinum #25 for greater heights of this fighting game. Even if it looks a little old, this is 10x better than Jump Force. The positives? The characters are interesting to play with, especially with the randomized dynamic trio in all four story arcs. The combat is solid, but it can be teensily daunting if you don't know what you're doing. And mercifully, it only has less grinds. The self-boosting is helpful for "Online Matches". The negatives? J-Adventure mode is repetitive. It features four story arcs, with little change to anything, other than each story arc features different characters and different story flows. It's not as bad as dealing all 14 in Skullgirls and 19 in Dengeki Bunko. The hard part you will be facing is Victory Road. To get the platinum, you have to complete all the challenges, which will require you to backtrack on the branching path you chose, since you cannot choose it. The rest of the trophies will be up to you. Edited June 15, 2020 by BadRep24

Popular Post Theladozz
#67 RUINER Nailed it! Great game imo. I picked it up because I heard it's like hotline miami with a cyberpunk setting, which is basically an instant recipe for success as far as I'm concerned. The levels (except the hub city which is amazing) and enemies are a bit repetitve, but I didn't mind as the gameplay was really fun with tons of different weapons and skills. The OST also really hits the spot and I still listen to it sometimes when I'm grinding in other games. I was intrigued with the story all the way through and I wish we had a bit more of it, but sadly the game is quite short (about 5-6h non speedrun) which is also why I think the ending was great even tho lots of people don't really like it. The 100% itself is pretty easy once you realize that you can roll over anything and everything with the shield ram skill, but you will still need at least 3 playthroughs. Sounds like a lot, but one is a speedrun without the story segments so it only takes around 2-3 hours and a regular run skipping the story is also comfortably doable in 1 sitting. #68 Peggle 2 Platinum Trophy I used to play Peggle as a WoW addon while waiting for a bg or dungeon queue pop so I bought it for the nostalgia when it was on sale. It's a fun little game and also quite challenging if you want to do all objectives. Without the dlc's this would be a very hard plat to be honest cause you would need to get all 180 base objectives, but luckily with the 20 dlc levels getting 180/240 is much much easier. I mostly played it while listening to a podcast or a video on my pc but it's also nice if you are in the mood to play something simple without having to think. #69 Nuclear Throne It's Not Fair, It's Not Right Wow I finally did it. After I got the hardest trophy, Unstoppable, and just had the crown grind left, this game was always in the back of my mind whenever I was playing something else, but that's finally over. One of my friends with whom I played a lot of Enter the Gungeon coop with showed me this game because it is kinda similar to it. Sadly the coop in NT is garbage compared to Gungeon so we never really played it together but I still ended up liking NT enough to pour 205 hours into getting the plat and I'm very glad I did because I feel like this is my 1st sub 1% plat that's not highly inflated by ps+. Like all rogue-lite games, it can get VERY frustrating and I don't think I have ragequit as much in all of my other games combined as I have while playing this one . The level generation just gives no fucks, if RNJesus wants you dead, you will die and there is nothing you can do about it. A big difference from gungeon is that in NT you don't really unlock anything helpful: B skins are cometic only, crowns just make things harder for the most part and golden weapons aren't anything to write home about, the only one I regualrly used was the Golden Wrench. Because of that the learning curve is pretty steep but it's also satisfying when you look back to your old noob self struggling to even reach the nuclear throne. Fuck Lil Hunter by the way, even after 200 hours I still think that one is the hardest boss because of how dependent you are on the map layout. The game can have some annoying glitches e.g. I had to kill Captain twice as Rogue to unlock her B skin, and there used to be glitches affeacting trophies but those are all fixed afaik. Still I found the game to be very charming and addictive plus it's something that you can just pop in whenever you have some time to kill and can still make some nice progress. My favourite character was Horror cause having 5 mutations to choose from made it very unlikely that all of them would be useless and also he had the best ultra mutation imo, the one that made portals appear earlier (feels so good when the level is over before the ipdp van even appears). So he was the one I got all crowns with and then ofc with the other characters I cheesed most of the post-loop crowns with the random char-restart method . I think this is one of those games where having the trophy tips feature back would be so fucking useful, but for anyone going for the plat, the Potential glitches and unobtainable trophies forum thread basically has tips for every difficult trophy.
Popular Post Sergen
Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends (PS4): Platinum #148 Difficulty: 3/10 Time Taken: 25 hours Another shitty game I've played solely for the ultra rare platinum and this time it comes from a Super Smash Bros rip off which uses Kung Fu Panda characters. After playing many fighting games in the past, I am not really a fan of the brawler style of game considering in fighting games they allow you to face your opponent by default whereas in this game you need to manually face your opponent to hit them, so you can easily miss your attacks due to that. I did the online trophies with my good friend Aexzia by using 2 PS4 consoles each to fill up lobbies, it beat self boosting with 2 consoles because this game is stupid and default places you into a lobby that someone else has created and the only way to host your own lobbies is to join their lobby with 3 consoles and then allow one person to create another lobby because the lobby the 3 accounts joined becomes full. The online doesn't require you to fight to get the trophies, you simply have to make your opponents quit to get XP, it is incredibly boring and there's no way to AFK it so while the online only took us around 10 hours I'd probably prefer doing a different grind where you actually play the game for a bit. The single player mainly consists of what the game refers to as the "Tournament of Legends", which is similar to what another game of this type would have as an arcade mode, you must do this mode with 20 characters and the base game only has 20 characters to choose from so in my case I did the tournament with every character that was available to me. None of the tournament runs were really difficult after I got used to the game, the AI can be cheap sometimes and if you get bad opponents in match 6 or match 8 then it can be frustrating, but eventually I was able to clear the tournament without having any losses along the way. I would say that Mr. Ping is the worst character to do the tournament with as he has hardly any redeeming qualities to his play style. The big characters like Po and Wolf Boss are incredibly good in the tournament because they have a butt smash move that can be done by jumping up and coming down with either Left Stick Down + or Left Stick Down + . Other characters often just require you to do Left Stick Down + which is a crouching punch or kick until you build up enough meter to initiate an awesome attack which can be done with , some characters have fairly useless awesome attacks which can also be annoying in their run of the tournament because that's the main move you might need to knock enemies off the stage while playing. I'll probably go on to do the PS3 version eventually but not too soon as it's no rush and I'm not exactly proud of this platinum and would only be doing it to increase my ultra rare platinum count. Popular Post madbuk
#373 - Persona 5 "I doubt I'll ever be playing Persona 5 really, but I'll maybe try it if it hits PS+ one day." - me, on May 21, a couple of days before a new sale hit and I chose to buy and play it. £9.99 felt like a pretty good deal for something the guide suggested would take 150 hours (which ended up being the perfect estimate, I ended at around 149-150 hours) so I pulled the trigger on it. I'm overall a bit mixed on whether I prefer this or Persona 4 Golden. The characters in this game I like more than Golden's. Ryuji is basically just a Yosuke replacement but without all the homophobic/sexist commentary, so that was nice. He still had his fair share of issues though, especially at the very start of the game where he failed to understand basically anything that got explained to him. Ann ended up being my favourite of the main cast but they were all good, and although unfortunately the main character is still silent in this game (mostly) like in Golden, Joker felt like he had a bit more personality than Yu anyway somehow. Sae and Brojiro Sojiro are my two favourite non-main cast confidants, although I'd say Persona 5 in general has better confidants than the social links in Golden. Where this game falls short compared to Golden for me is the overall narrative not being quite as engrossing as the one in Golden due to how standalone each palace's story felt and how, unlike in Golden, you rarely get to interact with characters once their main plot arc is over with. The framework for the narrative also didn't make a great deal of sense but I'll forgive that. That said, I did prefer the more mature tone that this game had compared to Golden which was fairly light-hearted throughout. The palaces were also a lot more atmospheric and detailed than the ones in Golden were which was nice. In terms of gameplay, I started this immediately following a guide instead of trying to do all the time management myself, which is what put me off Golden for years, and it's fairly noticeable that the palaces in this aren't designed to be done in a single day unlike the ones in Golden. This ends up being problematic, because the guide I was following suggests playing on the easiest difficulty, and expects you to finish all palaces in a day so that you can maximize your free time doing other things. I got close to the end of the first palace before giving up and dropping the difficulty. Is that shameful? Maybe, but like with Golden I was here for the story primarily, so oh well. I just wish it was like Golden where you could one day stuff more easily. The stealth mechanics were also very bad in this. The cover system is janky as hell and would benefit greatly from letting you move along the whole cover like in Uncharted instead of magnetizing you to corners, which makes it awkward to navigate from cover to cover (you can't even swap from one side of cover to the other if the ends are too far apart, even if it's one long piece of cover.) Overall this was a fun game, and I'm glad I played it. I doubt I'll ever play Royal, but... that's what I said about P5 itself so who knows.

Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #58 - DOOM Eternal Difficulty Rating 4/10 Enjoyment Rating 8/10 Rare - 17.76% The much anticipated sequel to DOOM 2016 has finally arrived. Was it everything I dreamed it would be? Both yes and no I would say. DOOM Eternal delivers a fantastic campaign for any FPS in recent memory, even if there are some gaps in the series of events that took place between this game and the last. I’m sure the questions I have will be answered in future DLC. What we have here is another Lost in Nightmares situation from Resident Evil 5, which is made to confuse you during the prologue. Without spoiling anything, DOOM Eternal turns the dial up to eleven. There are many new locations, lore, demons and ways to traverse the environment than the previous game. However, it’s not without a few setbacks. While richer in it’s campaign experience, everything else feels like it fell short in terms of content. Gone is the traditional multiplayer with the usual deathmatch and team based modes. This is blasphemous, cause DOOM is the franchise that gave birth to the whole concept of deathmatch, and to not have it here in DOOM Eternal is extremely disappointing to me. Now we are stuck with an ultra boring 1 vs 2 battlemode where 1 is Doomguy and the other 2 are demons of their choice. It gets old really fast. The reason for this is cause the developers thought normal deathmatch created too big of a skill gap between players. God forbid you have to git gud at something. Also gone is the SnapMap feature from the last game too. Players are no longer to create single player and multiplayer maps, nor enjoy cooperative and competitive modes together. If you ask me, that’s a huge waste of resources on a mode that can easily still be upgraded and improved upon over the course of DOOM Eternal’s lifespan. Sadly, there isn’t much to return to in DOOM Eternal as of writing this summary. Once you beat the campaign, you’re left with practically nothing. There are multiplayer trophies, but they can all be boosted in private matches.. so there’s that. But be warned, you need to make a Bethesda dot net account to access the multiplayer or any of the game’s event features. Yep, Bethesda fully convinced id Software to insert such a scummy practice into the game. If you’re connected to the internet, you ain’t getting past that title screen without that account. I didn’t know this until after I paid for the game and unsealed it. That’s what I get for not doing my usual research. I placed my full trust in a franchise and developer who I thought knew better, and like everyone else, I was forced to make the account if I wanted to play the game and not let my $60 go to waste. To make it worse, the multiplayer in this game just flat out sucks and is not worth playing. Nowadays I have to resort to Modern Warfare to scratch that FPS deathmatch itch I get once in a while. Thanks for nothing, DOOM Eternal. Campaign trophies are very easy. You can play on any difficulty and level select to anywhere you may of missed something. You will have to do two playthroughs though. Your intial playthrough where you collect everything and another playthrough on Extra Life Mode where you finish the game with over 10 extra lives. This is not as hard as it sounds, and this mode can still be played on Easy if you desire. Lives are everywhere, and you’ll be more familiar with the game when you start this mode. If I had to recommend this game, it’d be for the campaign and nothing else. That could change if better modes come out through future updates, but I’m not holding my breath. I’d say pick this up at around $30 or $40, it’s worth that much. DOOM is one of my favorite franchises in the industry, but even I can’t recommend this at full price. Buy DOOM 64 for $5, you won’t regret that

Popular Post Undead Wolf
#318 - Resident Evil 3 So Long, RC Obtain all trophies. I have mixed feelings about this game. I think it does a lot of things great, but it has its fair share of problems/shortcomings too. My biggest disappointment is with Nemesis. They did such an amazing job with Mr. X in Resident Evil 2 remake, making him a much more intimidating foe than he was in the original, so I had high hopes they would do the same with Nemesis (who was already great). Instead, he was downgraded. Now he only pursues you through a few sections now and most of the encounters with him are heavily scripted. Such a missed opportunity... They also cut a few areas out from the original, namely the Clock Tower which is a shame. To compensate, a few areas were expanded upon, so it's not all bad. I think the length of the game is fine despite what some others have said, but what it really lacks in is replayability due to not having the various scenarios RE2 did and the choices from the original RE3 being cut. There aren't any bonus modes either, just the Resistance multiplayer mode which as of typing this, I haven't played yet, so I can't really comment on it. One last gripe I have is that final boss fight on the harder difficulties. You can easily get chain stunned and killed just for hitting the dodge button at the wrong time. It feels bullshit and isn't fun. With all those negatives, you think I would hate the game, right? Well, you would be wrong. It's no RE2, but I still love it! The cinematics, voice acting, etc, are all top notch. I love what they've done with the characters and story. Without spoiling anything, I really like how they tied-in the events of RE2 to this game. There were some really badass moments that put a smile on my face as a long-time RE fan. The game was a little more action-focused than RE2 was, and I don't think the QTE's were necessary, but it still felt great to play. I liked the dodge mechanic even if it did make getting past the zombies much easier than it probably should have been. Even with all this game's faults, it was still excellent. I'll be jumping into Resident Evil Resistance next!

Popular Post OTPYG
Platinum #119 Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered Master Assassin There’s 40 hours I won’t get back. I’m quite a fan of the AC series but the third game slipped by me when it came out, so this was my first experience with it. In hindsight I wish I didn’t bother. What the game does right Naval combat is brilliant. Exciting and handles well, and I would’ve loved more of it. The DLC (part of the Platinum requirement in the Remaster) is much better than the main game, thanks in no small part to some of the brilliant animal powers you unlock. They make the game fresh and enjoyable to play for the duration of the DLC. Running through the treetops in the forest, swinging from branch to branch, hunting animals and enemies, is good fun. Where the game was disappointing First and foremost, the bugs and glitches. Having not played the original AC3 I can’t comment if they are carried over from there or if they are new to the Remaster, but they’re frequent and frustrating. Collectables not counting when you’ve picked them up and reappearing on the map, NPC’s bugging out and leaving you unable to finish a mission/objective unless you restart a checkpoint, your character randomly falling through the ground during combat and dying, are just a small sample of the frequent issues I had. I also experienced a loss of progress when reloading a save; all of my side mission completion for each DLC chapter was randomly reset back to 0% when I turned on the game this morning. Not cool, but thank goodness it didn’t happen with the main game. The controls often have a mind of their own. You can be climbing a wall and the next part you wish to climb to is clearly highlighted and in your field of view, when your character decides to leap somewhere you’re not even looking at on another building. This happens across all the AC titles but was especially prevalent in this title. The padding for a lot of the side missions is incredibly unimaginative and dull, especially in the Homestead. Finally, the voice actor for Connor is horrible. He rivals some of the worst I’ve come across in all my gaming, and his monotone delivery absolutely takes away from the narrative the game is trying to tell. Most difficult trophy: Original Gamer. This is unlocked by winning each of the three mini games at the Homestead. Shame two of the three mini games are against an expert level opponent. I went so far as to download apps to mimic my opponents moves on the app, and even then the game AI was demolishing the expert difficulty app AI. I eventually beat them but it took a lot longer than I had expected. Most time-consuming trophy: Completionist. 100% main game completion. Enjoy that padding!! Final thoughts Having now played every AC title across various consoles and generations, I can say without hesitation that AC3 is my personal least favourite instalment. The few things it does right are overshadowed by the various bugs and side-mission padding. Only bother if you’re a big fan of the series or have nothing else to play. Popular Post FOOTBALLNUT
#118 Savior of the Universe Unlock all other trophies (excluding additional content trophies). Platinum on 3rd June 2020 (4 months, 2 weeks, 6 days) **********My Personal Gaming Enjoyment Experience********** I always thought Battleborn and Overwatch were just another Multiplayer game, in First-Person Shooter, though both of them were on different theme and both were released few months apart but one is doing so great that they gonna release another one in near future while the other one suffered the fate of servers shutting down next year on January ...which is Battleborn. I still didn't cross my mind of playing this game when the developer announced about the serves shutdown, than out of nowhere one of my previous boosting party members called, if I want to join them on theirs new "Project" or not. I was hesitant at first but end up joining them after doing some research and watch what kind of gameplay I'll be getting, and to my surprise they DO have 8 shortly story mission. Although the digital copy had been delisted but I still can get the physical copy easily and it dirt cheap nowadays. Who said grinding isn't fun at all, I actually pretty much enjoying going through every character Lore Challenges. Some might take just a few hours, though most of them will still need some grinding for 1 to 2 days, in verses mode or in story mission. Luckily, all Lore Challenges can be done in private match with bots or live player. The only hard part for me is the last mission on Advanced difficulty, it really spike up the difficulty from the earlier mission. At first I just want to go through all story mission and Lore Challenges as quickly as possible but was twice halt by servers outrage for a few week, so if anyone seriously wanted to get this done, better do it as quickly as possible cause you'll never know when will the servers be going down again. Although, I can't 100% the Battleborn trophy list, at the very least I have earned another Ultra Rare platinum. All thanks to Blackmist_FFXI, mrzizich and Xanomead for pulling me into the boosting party while also helped on Kelvin & Toby Lore Challenges, if not this platinum journey will be tougher, thank you guys!
