Popular Post TwilightSpira
PLATINUM 229 - MIRROR’S EDGE CATALYST I won’t lie when I saw the EA logo, my first thought was “here it comes the micro transactions, half finished games or pay to win”. For my surprise, the game was really fun and felt complete even though EA allegedly cut some content. The gameplay is fantastic, the challenges are on point and the story is actually engaging and full of surprises. For now I’ll just enjoy my new addition to the collection, and wait patiently for my possible GOTY Last of Us 2 on Friday.
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
EU #308: My Body is a Temple Well, it's less a temple and more like my regular living quarters; you won't be repulsed, but it could look better than it does. Not a lot to say about this one; I liked the platinum look, it was easy as pie to get (I played the EU version, which is much easier), so I said why not? Everyone: Red, did you REALLY pay extra to import a game that costs $.99 in your region? Me: Well, yeah. I mean, it's not the first easy plat I got from an import; Ice Age Arctic Games, Mega Drive collection, (and if I feel up to it We Dare! and Start the Party: Save the World). These games are fun and relatively easy to plat, so why not go for it? Edited June 18, 2020 by RedRodriguez87
Popular Post OTPYG
Platinum #120 Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered Julius Caesar Wanting to forget about the mundane time I had with my last Platinum trophy (ACIII), wanting to play a game that would remind me how fun the AC series can be, and wanting something I could polish off in a short amount of time before TLOU2 hits (4 hours and counting!), I fired up Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered. It was a lot more fun than ACIII, however bugs nearly ruined the experience. What the game does right Three small yet diverse and very different maps - New Orleans, Bayou swamp and Chichén Itzá. Each made for great locations to explore. Decent looking game, you’d never think this was originally a PS Vita title. They did a great job with bringing it over to the PS4. Combat and navigating was fun to control and had minimal issues. Where the game was disappointing The game crashing. The game crashed seven times over the ten hours I spent chasing the Plat, and one of those crashes caused a corrupt save file. I don’t think I’ve ever had a PS4 title crash as often as this. Not good enough, and worrying about constant game-corrupting crashes absolutely took away from the fun. Collectable hunting. While this can often be tedious in any game, AC:L isn’t user friendly with its array of collectables. They don’t show up on your map unless you’re very close to them and disappear when you move away, there’s no way to track them, and the map doesn’t show them as ‘ghosted out’ once you have collected them - they simply disappear. While it’s easy to follow a video guide to clean them all up, if you pick up the majority of them while playing missions, which is very easy to do, unless you have excellent memory you’ll still have to visit each location when following said guide to check if you have collected it or not. Made a usually dull task even more dull and a bit frustrating. Most difficult trophy: Collector. A trophy tied to collecting four different types of the seven collectables in the game. While none of the trophies in AC:L are overly difficult, this one has potential to cause annoyance due to the map constraints I listed above. Most time-consuming trophy: Collector. As above. All the potential back-tracking due to a bad map make this trophy drag out a bit. Final thoughts AC:L is a fun, ‘bite-sized’ AC experience. I’d recommend it to both fans of the series and those who are curious by what the AC games are all about, due to it being a very short game compared to the others in the series it’s the perfect way to see if it might be your thing. A very easy trophy list is the icing on the cake. And yes, it successfully helped me forget about the disappointment that was ACIII! Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 (would’ve been higher if not for game-corrupting crashes) Time to Plat: ~10 hours Edited June 18, 2020 by OTPYG
Popular Post erwint0920
#37 Guardians of the Galaxy A Little Help From My Friends Completed Guardians of the Galaxy So, I love Telltale games but I found the first two episodes kinda boring. But episodes three to five were great with maybe the exception of episode 5 chapter 5 because that speech was way to akward for me. There is not much to say about difficulty as it's a telltale game, the only thing that made it a little bit more difficult was in episode four while fighting Hala where the buttons I had to press didn't show on the screen. I assume it was not meant to be like that but got by it easily by just pressing all buttons at once. Not sure when I will go for another platinum because this year has been really not my year in terms of interest for trophy hunting. Popular Post Charizarzar
#123: Trackmania Turbo Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 9/10 I feel like it's been a really long time since I posted anything here cause I've been on this game for so long. I wanted to avoid playing too many other games in case I used it as an excuse to not go back and finish this. Even though it was frustrating as hell, it's really fun and I can't say I was ever bored. The different tracks are all very unique and it feels rewarding to get a gold medal on even the white series. It was mostly about memorising each track and playing it repeatedly until muscle memory took over. I just got a bit fed up of playing the same game for almost a year, particularly when I still had 50 or so tracks to go and I didn't think I'd ever be able to move past a really hard one. The short tracks were great, but the multilaps were annoying because of one tiny mistake ruining your whole run. This plat will definitely stick with me as taking the most dedication out of probably anything I'll ever play, or at least I hope so. Because the music is pretty irritating, I kept my TV muted and decided to try listening to audiobooks to keep myself entertained. By the end of it, I got through Animal Farm, 1984, the whole Harry Potter series + Cursed Child (don't do this to yourself) and Jurassic Park 1 and 2. So yeah, if you have an Audible account, this is a good excuse to get through some books!

Popular Post JoaLoft
#225 - Mafia II: Definitive Edition it took a long time to get this one, due to the previously glitched "The Enforcer" trophy on PS4, but now that the patch is out and the game has gotten a ton of fixes: here we are. Mafia II: Definitive Edition takes place during the late 1940s and early 1950s, in which you take on the role of Vito Scaletta, an Italian immigrant who rolls into a life of crime through his buddy, Joe Barbaro. At first, they do small-time gigs for the Italian mafia, but soon they get "made" and they're officially members of an organized crime family. Things get out of hand, as they always do, and it's up to you to guide them through the nefarious predicaments they get entangled in. It is a solid action game, although I must admit that the remaster is probably one of the laziest remasters I've seen during this whole generation. So very few improvements, so many bugs and glitches and framedrops. The Mafia games do always have compelling storylines, so as part of the Mafia Trilogy, I'd say pick this one up. Don't pick it up individually, it's not worth the cash. Plus, if you pick up the trilogy, you get access to the Mafia 1 remake later this summer and the Mafia III: Definitive Edition, which also includes all expansions. Mafia III's gameplay is kind of repetitive, but the story is great, and the expansions provide some well-needed variety. All three are worth playing. Let's just hope the Mafia 1 remake isn't as buggy as this one was. Most frustrating trophy - Card Sharp Most trophies are easily obtainable, so it shouldn't surprise that a collectibles trophy is the most frustrating to get, namely the one to get all the wanted posters. For two reasons: 1. There are PlayBoy magazine covers from that decade to collect as well. But I don't think I need to explain why it was a lot more fun to get these, haha. 2. On top of the original 159 wanted posters they added an additional 30 in this remaster. My guess: the wanted posters feature mug shots of the developers, the original 159 are from the devs over at 2K Czech. The extra 30 - which are evenly distributed in Empire Bay among the rest, mind you - are likely mugshots of the people over at Hangar 13 who handled the remake. The name etymology of the 159 original names and the 30 new ones seems to support this theory. I get they want to put their own mugshots in here as well, but good God: it was already a pain in the neck to find the original 159. Why would someone say over at Hangar 13: "Hey, let's make the most frustrating trophy in the main list even more frustrating by adding 30 extra collectibles? The players will love that." I'm confident they didn't put them in specifically to annoy trophy hunters, but it did make getting this specific trophy even more tedious. Very happy to be done with it. Hangar 13, if you're reading this and still thinking of ideas for Mafia IV's collectibles: just make them all evocative PlayBoy covers. I promise you, even if you put in a thousand of those to collect for the platinum trophy: players will happily go for it.
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinums #511-514: Difficulty: 2.5/10 Playtime: 45 minutes to 1 hour 25 Enjoyment: 6.5/10 After having to put in a sweaty ol' shift with le Bandicootery, it's pretty chill to just breeze your way through an undemanding and decently enjoyable platformer, not gonna lie. Pretty much what the doctor ordered, indeed. Not much else, but sometimes that's enough. It's the same sad story... the world is under attack by cyborg zombies programmed with all the classic platforming enemy archetypes, and the only way to stop them is with heavy military ordinance. But there's a twist in the tale this time around; no doubt taking inspiration from advanced kindergarten educational tactics, your performance in a level is graded with gold stars, which unlock custom skins (and more importantly, trophies!) the more you amass! EA is probably disgusted with Ratalaika for not monetizing this process. There's a decent sense of progression, and every slight weapons upgrade makes a noticeable difference. The pacing of the gameplay is the good kind of slow that keeps things from getting too out of hand even with multiple enemies onscreen. You can still get screwed if you don't keep your head in the game at any and all times. The dry gameplay could do with a few more bells and whistles; pushing yourself to improve your completion time and efficiency is about the extent of emergent thrills you'll have, if you're into that. The meaty trophy list appreciated; it's getting a bit dull seeing all these lazy all gold lists. In short, you get what you pay for, with little undue fuss. A fun enough time.
Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#362 - Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier Christ what a slog this turned out to be. It's a narrative Telltale style game set in (you guessed it) the Planet of the Apes universe with the action taking place inbetween the events of the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes movies from the reboot trilogy that were made quite recently. This game was a natural pickup for me as I enjoy Telltale style narrative games and I'm a fan of the Apes movie series. The first playthrough was fairly enjoyable. The story was decent if a little bit clichéd. Now what I didn't enjoy about the trophy list (not so much the game itself) was the fact you then have to do a further two playthroughs with absolutely no skip function available like similar games sometimes feature when you beat them for the first time. This made earning the platinum far more time consuming than it needed to be and I was bored by the time I'd even gotten to the end of the second playthrough. What made things worse was that the "gameplay" is limited to pressing the or buttons to select dialogue choices and occasionally the button to perform certain actions. It's more or less an interactive movie with even less interaction than a Telltale game would feature. At least those games allow you to walk around and interact with whichever characters you see fit. Once you've played through the game once, you'll have pretty much seen 95% of what's on offer. Without giving anything specific away, your choices don't really matter until the game's closing act and even then the differences in terms of which way the story goes are fairly small. So in a nutshell - There's some enjoyment to be had from your first playthrough but getting the platinum was a tedious experience to say the least Enjoyment: 7/10 for the first playthrough. 2/10 for trophy cleanup. Difficulty: 2/10
Popular Post SukkarPunch
I really enjoyed Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare Remastered, so I figured I would give this one a go and own the trilogy of platinums... Modern Warfare 3 (plus all DLC for 100% completion) First-person shooters are not the type of games that I play often, so this was quite a challenging one for me. I beat all Spec Op missions solo (occasionally utilising two controllers), with the latter DLC missions proving the most difficult hurdle for me to overcome, especially beating Arctic Recon on Veteran difficulty. I enjoyed the overall experience, especially the Campaign, although it was a shame to see the infinite enemy respawns make a reappearance, as this encourages only one type of strategy. Modern Warfare 2 was so much better for me, as the fixed enemy numbers enabled you to approach each mission in a way that suited your prefered playing style. Anyhow, I enjoyed this game enough that I would be happy to help out any of my fellow gamers with the Spec Ops for either game, should you need an assist. ?
Popular Post Mayellie
#25 - L.A. Noire (PS4) Who hasn’t heard of LA Noire at this point? LA Noire is an open-world, detective, action, and adventure game. You play as Detective Cole Phelps, ex-Marine, war hero, and as the LAPD calls you, their Golden Boy. You have it all; the brains, the honesty, and the dedication to keep the public of Los Angeles safe during its most violent and criminal year, 1947. I love all things crime, mystery, and detective-y, so this was right up my alley! Most (if not all) of the cases are based on real crimes from 1947, which made them interesting to read about and spot the similarities in-game. You have two kinds of stories in LA Noire. One being the overarching story of Cole Phelps during the war before he joins the LAPD, which is told in a series of flashbacks between cases right until the very end, where everything starts to unravel and connect to some of the cases you’ve been solving. The other kind is more "individual", and is case-by-case. You work the case, solve it, and that's that story done (or not? ). Phelps works his way up from simple traffic violations to gruesome murders, as he earns a reputation for being one of the department’s most hard-working detectives. There are several departments within the LAPD that Detective Phelps gets to work in: Traffic, Homicide, Vice, and Arson. Each present well-designed cases complemented by the spot-on atmosphere of 1947 LA through jazzy music on the radio, old-looking cars, colorful houses, and the faithful in-game recreation of the majority of downtown Los Angeles. During the cases, you get to inspect crime scenes, interrogate suspects, and even chase, gunfight, and often brawl them. Depending on how thorough you are in searching for crime scene clues and skilled in spotting lies or half-truths during interrogations, your end-of-case evaluation will range from 1 star (you’d have to play with your eyes closed to get this), to 5 stars (excellent work!). Now, this is no GTA. You’re a detective and you gotta act like one! So, no running over pedestrians or destroying cars, which will severely impact your report. Next: trophies! Ah, collectibles, my favorite trophy hunting aspect… NOT! Collectibles are meant to encourage exploration, and add depth to the story. These do neither. There’s a good amount you’ll need for 100% in-game completion. Drive all types of cars (95), collect all golden film reels (50), visit all the landmarks (30), and you have two additional types of collectibles in DLC on PS4 (28), which also count towards in-game completion. Do the math, and that brings you to a total of 203… yep, what a number. The cars one took some years off my life, but it’s doable. Besides that, you’ll need to earn a 5-star evaluation in all cases, so you’ll likely have to repeat some. There’s so much more to say, but LA Noire was a great surprise, and it’s one I’m shocked I overlooked all these years! It was great to play through various cases, and the game doesn’t exactly hold your hand, so you have to do some actual thinking and connecting the dots on who you should charge to close the case (correctly). If there’s ever a sequel, you bet I’ll be first in line. Detective Phelps was a charming and memorable protagonist. Despite the whole world being against him sometimes, he just kept swimming. (PS: Goes on sale regularly for $19.99, which includes DLC cases on PS4) Difficulty: 5/10. Not really difficult, just a bit grindy. Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Highly recommend! Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #92 Arslan: The Warriors of Legend A good Musou game. I liked the way that all cutscenes were anime-based (probably from the Arslan Senki anime that aired around the time of launch of this game) and transitioned well to the cel shading style used in the game. Talking about the graphic, it looks good when it's a bit far, but when it's too close it look too simplistic and almost unfinished. The OST does not stands out. I liked the multi-weapon and shield mechanics, I would like to see them in another Warriors game. The platinum is very straightforward and relatively short for a Warriors game. The story mode, sadly, is very short. When I got the trophy for completing the mode I was surprised on how short it was. After that you will go to free mode to unlock all weapons, get all recipe books, limited skill cards and get S rank on all objectives. To get the weapons you only need to finish the extra scenarios with the default character, nothing more. The game says which scenarios have recipe books, and give you the hint on how to get them. The hints are very good, so you should have no problem in obtaining them. This can be done on easy. The limited skill cards are similar: the game says what needs to be done, but it does not state the objective, and contrary to the recipes, this need to be done on hard or higher. I only had a bit of trouble with 1 or two, but there is a very good youtube channel with videos on how to obtain all cards. Getting S ranks on all objectives seems harder than it is. I played the story mode on normal, and did the same with the extra scenarios. In some of them I was able to get S rank on all objectives with ease. The hardest objectives are those that involve killing a officer in a set amount of time, and the ones that require you to kill a officer in a certain amount of time AND reach a certain amount of chains (hits). I used characters with bows on those chains objectives, but Hilmes and Narsus are also very good to get a high chain count. If you're still having trouble, Kishward limited card gives you Illusory Sword, that makes chain last longer. Note that all objectives can be done on easy and still count for the trophy. There are two grind trophies. Maxing all weapons requires you to kill a high count (something around 6500) of enemies with the set weapon. I chose the extra scenario "Escape From Atropatane" to do this. There are unlimited enemies, so I would go to the south where they spawn and kill them. Doing the steps mentioned on the previous paragraph I maximized the weapons of half of the characters, so I spent around 4 hours grinding the other half. Each character took me around 30 minutes to maximize both weapons. If you do this, you will probably dont have any character at lvl 50. This led me to a very short grind replaying the extra scenario "Mock Battle at Peshawar" on hard with EXP boosting food. Took me 5 retries and around 1 hour to take a character from lvl 27 to 50, but since this cut short dramatically the time I would need to max all weapons, I would say my approach was worth. To finalize, if you like Musou games, you should play this. The game is a bit obscure, but I had lots of fun. Sadly the story mode and the scenarios are a bit on the short end, like the platinum itself.
Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #111 - Super Neptunia RPG A True Hero, 34.85% Rarity Difficulty - 2.5/10 , Time Spent - ~20 Hours , Enjoyment 6.5/10 In Super Neptunia RPG you play as Neptune, a self-proclaimed hero who wakes up in the world of Gamindustri with amnesia to find that 2D Games are the only type of games around. Neptune thinks this is odd and that it can't be right that technology isn't more advanced, but what does she know! She's an amnesiac! She begins her quest to find her memories, running into allies Noire, Blanc, Vert, and Chrome, while fighting against the evil Bombyx Mori. Super Neptunia RPG is a very self-aware JRPG. It is constantly poking fun at the tropes in JRPGs, like the main character having amnesia or the need for fetch and hunt side quests. This fun aside, the story and writing is rather good, with the characters being very fun and quirky. Neptune, however, did get a little on my nerves with her constant proclamations of being a hero and wanting pudding... none of the other characters were as one-dimensional. The gameplay is about what you'd expect from a JRPG. Basic platforming, somewhat turn-based combat, side quests, equipment gathering, etc. I wasn't really a fan of the combat system... basically you earn actions by waiting for a gauge to fill, and once it fills to a certain amount, you can take your action (with different actions costing different amounts of points). You can also expedite the timer fill by hitting the enemy's weak points, which are based on elements (light, dark, earth, fire, etc). However, each character can only have one ability set to themselves for a particular formation, with the ability to switch between four formations. With four characters, this means 16 abilities total. With this sort of set up and about 10 different elements, this pretty much means that only one character ever gets used during most battles because you will likely only have one character set with an ability that uses the enemy's weak element (assuming you keep your abilities balanced to be able to handle any enemy's weakness... and have some healing abilities). This doesn't make for a super robust system, but at least the battles have a "fast forward" ability so you can simply fast forward while spamming your one character. The trophy list was pretty fun. It requires exploring most of the game and getting used to all the different parts of it. You have to participate in side quests, super boss hunts, gather gear, gather money, grind levels, get special scenes, etc. Only a few missables, but with the guide on PST, they're very manageable to get. The "hardest" trophy is grinding levels, but even that is pretty easy... only took about an hour after finding the enemies that give tons of EXP. One gripe about the game would be the battle sounds. One of the most helpful skills to equip a character with is auto-regen, but it literally makes this annoying sound every single time the regen takes effect in battle (and it takes effect once every second or so). The characters also like to yell a catch phrase with each of their attacks, which becomes quite annoying as you're pretty much spamming the same attack over and over during any given battle. I was dissapointed, but I had to turn down the sound effects to get rid of the regen noise problem, and I also had to turn off the voice acting to get rid of the catch phrase yelling-- which was extremely sad as the game is fully voiced and the voice acting is actually really good. Overall, this is a solid JRPG with lots of fun built into it. It was also only my second Neptunia game (with my first being Producing Perfection, so not a mainline game) so I don't know how much I missed by not having played other games. But it was great even without prior knowledge of the series. Definitely recommend!

Popular Post Rick_Sanchez
Platinum # 246 Fun: 8/10 Difficulty: 8/10 The conclusion to the Blazblue story comes to a satisfying yet sad ending. No spoilers here but it was rather fun going through the story seeing how our heroes bring an end to everything. The trophies are 99% easy with....one trophy being a troublesome pain that prompted me to bump the difficulty to an 8/10. If it wasn't for that one trophy the difficulty would be at most a 5 maybe a 6. Most trophies are easy, there's a handful of online that can be boosted easily, a few trophies for doing a number of things so many times which can either be boosted or let them come naturally, a combo challenge trophy which if you purchase Es off the store it is easier, Abyss and score attack return but aren't the issues here. The biggest headache is the new mode called Speedstar where you have to beat characters with a single time limit. Yes you can do actions to increase your time but you can easily lose time. The third course is the main issue where you have to beat the entire cast in a boss state with a 90 second timer. Each time they hit you, that's time they remove, if you hit them with a long combo or do so much damage you get time back. The only reason I was able to conquer that mode was due to the DLC character Mai who can help you keep most enemies cornered but one wrong move and you might as well start over.
Popular Post slaaack1
#10 Life is Strange: Before the Storm So I really wanted to do this to have it as a milestone (and prob the only milestone I'll ever reach platinumwise because I'm lazy af ). After I took a break from really playing PS4 at all for some time this game idled for over a year on my storage... But I got Plat #9 recently so I booted it up again to go for the before mentoined milestone. Well I would have taken Life is Strange (1) over Before the Storm as a milestone but I already did that. Overall I have to say it was a pretty good game, like I expected a Life is Strange to be. It was hard not to feel for the characters and their decisions/actions/results so it kinda hit home again like Life is Strange (1). However it was a little bit lengthy at the end. Also it is no comparision to Life is Strange (1) because that game hit me really hard by suprise... Never really heard about it, only got it from PS+ and started it because it had an easy Plat. But it ended up to be one of the best games I ever played. So of course Before the Storm wont take its place but as I mentoined before, it was still a good "Life is Strange"-esque game. Not sure if I want to play Life is Strange 2 since I read some mixed reviews about it and it has new characters... But I tend to get my own impressions from games and not listen so much to others so maaaaybe someday. Next one will probably be Late Shift because I started it some days ago when I had no internet for a while and it was the only game that worked lol. Not sure when I'll start going for the plat since Id have to play through it 2 more times, ehh...
Popular Post Ryudi1998
Call of Duty: WWII 1.59% My 6th rarest trophy atm, and the currently free game of PS+ (Stars Wars: Battlefront ll is the other), but soon this % might change 'cause a lot of people are still earning it. I promissed myself after earning the COD: BO lll platinum that: to all games from this franchise I have, I will have its plat. This game is "just another cod" tbh, it has 3 game modes that I'll talk about: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies Campaign (playing on Veteran) It has a shallow story, but we all know no one play the campaign, but they changed some interesting stuff, like: You need a medkit to recover your health, your teammates have "special" habilities. The rarest trophy is in it too: "Defender", it's an easy task, the most diffilcult trophy is in Zombies. Multiplayer (playing only War) Just grind trophies don't you worry. I liked it. I played as sniper w/ smg or assalt rifle w/ shovel and I was quite good on it (my highest n° kill is 46 in a round) ? idk why, but the granades seems overpowered in this game, I am not an expert in cod however i recommend in using it (learn how to cook it too). Zombies I was realyyy lucky for earning "Dark reunion" on my 3rd attempt (each of them took at least 3.5 hours), we were 3, I was the one who put them together, one I found in a lobby, the other in a ps4 community; both of them knew every step, soooooo... I just got carried. I helped in some tasks, ok??? This gamemode could be easily a solo game (with more maps and stuff) there are many things to explore and the way how things works is incredible. <<Tip for "Pressure Cooker" trophy>> <<The main trophy guide that I followed>> Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 6/10 Edited June 19, 2020 by Ryudi1998 7/10 to 6/10
Popular Post StressEater
I finally was able to finish Sniper Elite 4. That was a long road. I was unable to replace him and when I did, I was unable to line up our schedules. Out of nowhere yesterday I received a message from someone on the site telling me how they saw my post in the Gaming Session and his time frame lined up with mine and he was willing to help. So we knocked out the Platinum yesterday in almost no time. I don't think it could have worked out any better.

Popular Post Ala-Arska
Just Cause 3 King of Medici Earned all Just Cause 3 Trophies Why you looking at me like that? I'm closing the application now, bye bye Rico. This game is ass. Over the course of, I don't know, weeks, I learned to hate pretty much all that is Just Cause 3. And just when I thought "maybe it's me, I'm giving this yet another shot", some new shit appeared and wrecked all. I don't know, everything seemed to work against me here. Me versus an unpolished piece of dumpster trash First of, there's the main man Rico Rodriguez. He's boring, plain and with that fat hairy face he reminded me of Anyway, forwards and upwards. Cars and bikes suck big time here. Controls are atrocious at best. Bikes I avoided at all costs Dying is something that happens more than in all of Dark Souls combined, at least before getting some upgradezzz. It would be fine, if not for a) the slo-mo grey-inFamous-screen that blurs all to shit and sounds like Lost, and b ) long loading times. And by "long" I mean long as f**k. Over 30 seconds every time you die (or screw up a challenge, about that later). Multiple that with hundreds After you've died, you could respawn at any altitude! Nice to die, spawn in the sky, drop, and die again. WTF, indeed. Cutscenes happen at weirdest times. When clearly in mid-combat, the game can interrupt it and go to next sequence. Now that's just ru Glitches. Of which there are plenty. Side missions losing goal, main missions stuck in a loop, freezes...and people falling from the sky. Lastly (well, can't bitch about absolutely every aspect) I lost it with the motherf**king Challenges. 112 shitty, vomit-inducing nuggets of evil. I don't think anyone tested these. Some of them are laughably easy, some reasonably tough and few plain bullshit. Wingsuit ones were the most "fun" for me, albeit two had stupidly high 5-Gear (stars) standards. And with a strangely huge hitbox area Failing a Challenge was pretty much all I did for a long time, and those million-hour loading times just added salt to every oozing wound I had. I did like the graphics, mind you. Drawing distances were good, and sunsets were beautiful when flying high above Medici. One or two pieces of music fitted nicely in scenery, too. They had the right amount of relaxation and ominous vibe combined. Just Cause 2 was decent fun back in PS3 day. Just Cause 3 is, like I said, ass. A hairy, donkey-meets-Godzilla ass

Popular Post ZitMeatloaf
#55 - Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek "Platinum" The Artifex Mundi hot streak continues. Can't say for certain why this one has a lower completion percentage than the others I've played recently, but if I had to guess I'd say it's due to the annoying cabinet door sliding pieces puzzles. The order of the pieces is randomized every time you start the puzzle and if you're not fond of that style of puzzle, it can be frustrating. Much more importantly, this game satisfies the letter "E" in my quest for a complete A-Z platinum collection. 6 letters to go...
