Popular Post Masamune
Ultimate Hero Acquired all trophies. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Playtime: 67:43:12 (1 week, 2 days, 43 minutes) Screenshot: Spoiler It was fun playing the game that first got me into trophy hunting again. I even managed to snap a picture of my plat screen (plus, Bahamut is in the background too). It's a little blurry since I had to take it quick, but it's readable. I'm not sure how long it took me to plat it before, but I'm fairly certain I far surpassed my old record. Thinking about it, this was probably the last FF game I really enjoyed... all the others after it just seemed to go downhill imo (with XV being the bottom of the barrel). I knew what I was in for, so getting the Treasure Hunter trophy wasn't bad at all (I hoarded everything I came across). There were a couple tricky battles I had to look up a strategy for, but nothing in it is impossible as long as you're prepared. The final trophy I got was for defeating a Long Gui, & since I had 4 Elixirs on me... I just cheesed the fight by repeatedly summoning Bahamut to insta-kill its legs (I didn't get hit once). ?
Popular Post Jelly Soup
#120 - Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! Just like Spyro 1, but with less annoying flight levels! Didn't appreciate that some areas of certain worlds were dead ends that require leaving and returning to the entire world. But these are minor complaints, the game is amazing and I highly recommend it. Aside, I really like the care that went into the trophy images in the Reignited collection. Nice clean art, lovely gilded boarders. This should be the standard for good achievement design.
Popular Post preciseRNG
#2 - Sushi Break So I needed a quick break from my current God of War playthrough cause I don't wanna rush it. Found this game by accident and gave it a try. Quite a nice and good looking Brick Breaker-themed game. Only thing I did not like was the background music, could have been more Japan-style but instead was some random not really enjoyable stuff. Easy plat, did it in about an hour.
Popular Post shxrpay
Platinum #197 ~ The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (PS4) Master of Unwritten Tales You have unlocked all trophies of "The Book of Unwritten Tales 2". A charming little point and click game. The graphics really aren't that bad for its genre and it's not super short either, probably about ~10-12 hrs with the walkthrough over at .org as an estimate. Controls are not hard to get used to at all and the trophy list is fairly simple if you're following a walkthrough. Only mildly difficult part is a QTE at the beginning of one of the chapters where you have to hit all "action bubbles" before they disappear. Although even that is easily doable within a few tries. Definitely recommend it, and for any of you fellow PS Now users its over there as well .
Popular Post Viper
#192 Burnout: Paradise - Remastered Burnout Paradise Elite Ugly trophy tiles are ugly.So this was a game I never finished on the PS3 (and likely would have never platted anyways due to not having the camera), I remember giving up on the Burnout license because the game just got frustrating after getting your A license...so I eventually gave my copy to a friend. But this version was pretty much a cake walk...although having the DLC at my disposal certainly helped...being able to use the GT Nighthawk Legendary Vehicle (KIT from Knightrider) made things like Road Rages and Marked Mans a breeze because it had 6 Speed and 10 Strength.Overall the game is still a lot of fun, probably the single best racing game since the PS2 days in terms of being an all around solid racer. I can't believe Criterion never made a follow up to it. It's not perfect though, coming back to it all these years later, there were things I remembered not being fond of and they still stick out here...such as the camera angle. It's right on your back bumper where it needs to be raised a little more so you can see all of the road ahead of you, or the way the game animated it's high speed can be a bit jarring some times...especially at night, and you just have the feeling of not being in control anymore...which usually leads to crashing. For which, the slow-mo cam for crashing is cool at first...but after awhile it's just like "yeah yeah, let's get back to it". Being able to skip them or turn that off would have been a welcome addition to the remaster.Solid game, still have some of the DLC to do. Kinda wish I still had my PS3 copy, as I would probably attempt to get as much of it done as possible while the game is fresh in my mind.
Popular Post JoaLoft
#226 - Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage I know, I know. "JoaLoft, why the hell are you playing Spyro when you have The Last of Us: Part II installed?! Play that instead!" And I will! Calm down, damn it. I want to savor that game for every bit of scrumptiousness that it is. I started Spyro 2 a day earlier, and I decided on platting it in between The Last of Us sessions. Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage is a relatively easy, light platformer where you go to worlds - although you could consider them levels, based on their small scope - to collect talismans and unlock boss fights to defeat Ripto together with his minions. It's not bad enough he tumbles through a portal into a peaceful realm by accident and starts to claim leadership of everything, he even starts to destroy everything. The little pipsqueak is so annoying, you'd break off his only horn on his head and shove it down his goddamn windpipe until it protrudes through his demonic little sphincter. Unfortunately, Spyro only possesses claws and can't grant us the pleasure of that sight. Luckily, he makes up for the lack of fists with a mean fiery breath, and uses that to his advantage to burn his enemies to ashes and complete objectives. As far as remakes go, Activision deserves to be commended for the solid work their studios have delivered. Both Modern Warfare remasters (save for the third one which is coming, undoubtedly) and the Crash Bandicoot games got a modern and fresh lick of paint, and so did the Spyro games. Although, let's be honest here: most of the praise goes to Insomniac Games, who made the initial versions for PS1. These are still straight remakes, after all. That being said, the visual design is striking in all three Spyro remakes, so the updated presentation gets two big thumbs up from me. Most frustrating trophy - He's on FIRE! The Spyro games are easy, as stated above. The biggest trophy you'll have to deal with, is "He's on FIRE!" which requires you to unlock the Super Flame ability, which is a permanent attack move that makes the game incredibly easy to beat. Small note: you only get this AFTER you collect all gems in all worlds (10.000 in total) and collect all the orbs (64 in total, which you mostly get from doing all kinds of miscellaneous objectives) which pretty much means finishing the game with a 100% clear rate. At which point the attack is virtually useless, unless for cleaning up any trophies you missed, or if you'd like to use it in a new save slot and go to town. Still, this is something you work towards naturally as you clear every world, one at a time. Easy platinum, all things considered. I'll definitely post my third platinum trophy of the trilogy later, once I beat that entry!
Joao-OLVR
One Last Ride #90 It was a really fun and challenging game, it's also my rarest trophy so far, at 0.51% attainment rate. I've been working on it since I reactivated my PS+ subscription two months ago and I really enjoyed the mechanics, level design and the difficulty. I wish more people had played it, because a sequel with improvements would be really cool.

Popular Post hishomie1
Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus Platinum #76 I finally finished Mein Leben after 15 or so tries. The damned courtroom and New Orleans are where the majority of my deaths are. Especially the courtroom. I only died once in the last fight, but the second time I got there I did it. The last mission is generally easy, it's just your nerves that get to you at that point. For sure a 10/10 difficulty, I'm going to get some easy ones for now lol.
Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#363 - Bucket Knight (Vita) This was a fun little 2D NES style platformer and I enjoyed it. It's a fairly laid back game and it didn't outstay it's welcome. The placing of the levels was a little bit off though. Longer levels with multiple routes are interspersed with shorter levels that can be completed in under a minute. Same goes for the difficulty as well. No other complaints though. Popular Post Conor
#66- RESIDENT EVIL 6 (PS3) RESIDENT EVIL 6 Platinum Trophy Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time Taken: 2 months, 1 week, 2 days, 8 hours, 22 minutes (35 hours in-game) Rarity: 1.8% Ultra Rare (PSN) / 11.24% Rare (PSNProfiles) Hardest Trophy: Mad Skillz- Max out all the skills that allow you to level up. Another blast from the past for me. Resident Evil 6 was a game I greatly anticipated, having enjoyed the fifth entry a lot more than I thought I would. Unfortunately, the game turned out be a be a hodgepodge of ideas that just didn't really work out, many of which were from the previous game that a lot of people didn't like in the first place. Four different campaigns see you take control of seven characters- some returning, some new- to combat the latest world-threatening outbreak. The sickness this time around is the C-Virus (yes, I know) and a great portion of the game takes place in China. The C-Virus takes many forms- some infected become zombies with added agility awhile others become 'J'Avo', similar to the Ganados and Majini foes of previous titles complete with mutations into new, deadly forms, although Las Plagas are nowhere in sight this time. The initial campaign centres around fan-favourite Leon S. Kennedy as he investigates an attack that costs the life of the President and the population of a small town, and to clear his name alongside Helena Harper, a newcomer and Secret Service agent (at age 24... yeah right) who has ties to the real culprits. They mostly fight zombies although they also come across some J'Avo mutants as well. Out of all the campaigns, this one is the most in line with "classic" Resident Evil but that would be stretching it. Campaign #2 sees the return of series mainstay Chris Redfield, a little less roided out than last time, and his subordinate newcomer Piers Nivans as they battle the J'Avo and uncover the secret behind Neo Umbrella, with tragic results. This one is full of dumb cover-based shooting that just gets boring after a little while. You also fly a jet at one point. Yeah. Campaign #3 sees the return of Sherry Birkin, all grown up and working for the US Government to bring in one Jake Muller to use his blood to synthesise a vaccine for the C-Virus. Oh, and Jake is the bastard son of late antagonist Albert Wesker. They find themselves pursued by the Nemesis-like Ustanak, a large BOW a claw that can make all kinds of soup out of you. It is just as dumb as Chris' campaign but I actually did like how Jake can go all Bruce Lee on enemies. The last campaign is a solo venture focused on Ada Wong, the femme fatale and longtime love of Leon. She uses a crossbow to kill things and ziplines around, like an evolution of the Separate Ways mode in Resident Evil 4. Overall, I thought it was an okay game. Not a terrible one but truly a far cry from Resident Evil, and many fans who weren't put off by the previous title felt betrayed by this one. I have no problem with a series evolving but it was clear that the developers were trying to appeal to a crowd that was so far removed from the horror fanbase of old. The controls are clunky, the combat is just overall less satisfying, the visuals are even not as great as Resident Evil 5 in many ways and the story is totally forgettable. I mean, did they all just forget about the massive outbreak they were in the middle of? An entire city was infected, millions of people died, this wasn't even resolved! Ugh. Anyway, I'm now finished with Resident Evil on PS3. I won;t be playing any others like the Chronicles games or Revelations because the trophy lists look like absolute slogs. Popular Post Neef-GT5
#29 - Severed Difficulty – 4/10 Enjoyment – 8/10 Severed is the kind of games that proves that a lot of decent things could have happened on Vita, had Sony really supported it. Hence my not being overly surprised that my favorite Vita games are the ones that have been specifically developed for this machine : Tearaway, and now Severed. This one is a typical Metroidvania with a gameplay entirely based on the Vita touchscreen – you literally slash your way through your enemies. It’s really fun and immersive, as your actually can perfectly aim how you hit enemies, and how hard. And if the first encounters are quite easy, letting your learn the basics, you’ll eventually face tough enemies that will demand you master the gameplay mechanics and keep a cool mind while your fingertip get closer and closer to self-combustion. For the rest, it’s quite classic: explore dungeons, find items and grow your skill tree by using loot severed from the monsters your encounter. The world is rather small and organized in one-screen rooms, very much like the original Legend of Zelda on NES – quite a memory trigger for old-timers like me… Graphics have a very personal touch, simplistic and colorful that contrasts from the fairly dark story and universes, overwhelmed by death. The same goes for the sound design, simple but enjoyable, with well-matched slashing sounds. I can only regret that this game is so short, as I really enjoyed it from start to finish. If you own a Vita, this one is a must-play. Edited June 21, 2020 by Neef-GT5
Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #59 - Tekken 6 Difficulty Rating 4/10 Enjoyment Rating 7/10 Rare - 12.25% I don’t know what to say ? I mean, it’s just Tekken... and there isn’t anything wrong with that. It’s as good as it always has been. Since I got the platinum for Tekken 7, I thought why not go for this one too. Interestingly enough, the platinum wasn’t as hard as the rarity percentage claims, but maybe I’ve played my good share of fighting games over the years. Tekken 6 has a pretty big roster of characters for a game that didn’t have DLC (at least I don’t think it did). To a lot of people, this might be the first trophy compatible game they ever played. At least that’s what I gather from a lot of profiles having their first trophy say Tekken 6. As far as fighting games go, Tekken has been around a long time, and is usually what people associate when they think both “PlayStation” and “fighting” when put together. Nothing too difficult, the Scenario Campaign was some good fun while it lasted, but the secret stages are bound to give you a good whooping unless you have some really good S rank gear to equip onto your character. I for one was grinding for S rank gear by playing Nightmare Train on Hard over and over again, and somehow ended up beating it by complete accident. I do one kick that sends Devil Jin up in the air and he falls over the edge like a sack of rocks ? I admit I lucked out big time, so after that... I knew the rest of the campaign wouldn’t give me too much trouble. The hardest trophy for me was probably beat 10 opponents in survival. Sounds easy on paper, but the AI begins go catch on by opponent 6 and you really got to play defensively. Some online trophies do exist, but can be boosted and shouldn’t take more than an hour. Nowadays, it’s hard to recommened Tekken 6 with Tekken 7 already out in the wild. Plus, Tekken 7 has Akuma and Geese Howard... how can you possibly go wrong? I’m all for SNK representation whenever it pokes its head out. If you’re looking for a quick but not necessarily easy fighting game platinum.. Tekken 6 has you covered. Unless you rather just go for Tekken 7, which is a lot easy when compared to its predecessor ?

Difficulty: 9.5/10 (w/o backup save) - 7/10 (with backup save) Fun: 10/10 This game is undeniably the best I've played. It's no surprising that the people who made this game, Devolver Digital, also made Enter the Gungeon, as well. Anyway, the special-kill trophies are not hard, but just annoying. What really takes the game's difficulty to a whole new level is its Iron Mode. Like most of Iron Modes, you only have a single autosave. Backing it up every time is the only way to beat the Iron Mode. But most importantly, recognizing patterns of a boss is critical. Then, there's the Hard Mode and Iron Mode mixed together. It's 10x harder than Iron Mode, because Hard Mode makes bosses faster! The most absolute clusterfuck of all is the No-Rolling trophy, which is ridiculous, because you have to beat the entire game without rolling, since rolling is the only way to beat these bosses.

Popular Post Gommes_
#113 - Dead Or Alive 6 Dead Or Alive 6 Master Had a lot of fun with this game and even though I got the platinum I have the feeling that this game has so much more to offer. I still don't get all of the mechanics and I am overwhelmed by some players online but I had the same "problem" with the ultimate version of 5. Visually it looks absolutely great! From the character models to the stage design. Menus are greatly structured and in genaral it's an amazingly polished game. The downside is the ridiculously overpriced season pass model and the lack of characters. In that regard it's a step back from the predecessor. Online is pretty dead too and the developers already abandoned the game and wanna focus on a new part. If that will be part 7 or a different version is unclear. Trophy wise this game could've been a lot harder but I am glad that was not the case. The platinum rarity suggests that this will be an easy one but for newcomers it won't be. The tutorial lessons and the combo mode can be really tough at times! Anyway, really good game I will continue to play. Popular Post OTPYG
Platinum #121 The Last Of Us Part II Every Last One Of Them What appears to be an unpopular opinion - I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The many negative comments regarding TLOU2 from self-entitled fans who are disappointed the game went down a story narrative that they don’t agree with, without playing the game themselves and simply watching snippets on YouTube, have frankly been embarrassing to read, and should be taken with a grain of salt. If you’ve played it and don’t like it then fair enough, you’re more than entitled to that opinion. But to shit on it without giving it a go is just a bit pathetic. In my opinion this is another usual top tier product delivered by Naughty Dog. What the game does right It’s gorgeous. Graphics, lighting, every little detail, it is an absolute visual treat to experience. Little things like footprints left in the snow or the way moss moves away from your body as you swim, it feels like a living breathing world that you’re part of. Stealth and combat are solid. Every element is fluid and precise. Booth mechanics handle incredibly well and if you lose any close fights you only have yourself to blame and not the controls! The atmosphere is amazing. Some of the locations are genuinely creepy and will absolutely have you on edge as you navigate around. I found myself subject to a couple of unexpected scares, which I loved. Many of the collectables really added to the story. I read every letter I picked up and felt even more immersed as a result. Where the game was disappointing The AI of partners who join you on missions can often be lacking. There were times I’d be trying to stealth it up from enemies by going prone in some grass, and my AI partner would just stand there like an idiot, and caused us to get spotted. Nitpicking a bit - I’d have liked more situations where there were both human and infected enemies in the same area at the same time. The very few times they were both in the same area caused some of my more favourite moments in the game; luring infected over to human enemies with a well placed glass bottle really turned the tide of some fights and was chaotically brilliant. I’m going to be that guy - the trophy list. Boring and uninspired. Most difficult trophy: All the trophies are very easy to obtain and because the majority of them revolve around collectables, it’s fair to assume many will be playing this hand-in-hand with a collectable guide. If you’re going to try to find the collectables on your lonesome then Master Set gets my pick for most difficult trophy, as some of those trading cards are very very well hidden. Most time-consuming trophy: Survival Expert. Both this and Arms Master will require at minimum one and a half playthroughs, but Survival Expert was the last one I unlocked so it gets my nod as being the longer to achieve. Final thoughts I really enjoyed my time with TLOU2. You’re doing yourself a disservice by not checking it out.
