Popular Post sh4d0wzcs
After doing some longish games, and working toards my #125 Jump force I needed a break as such so I went and did some relaxing ezpz games for a change. #110/#111 Drowning First platinum play through I actually read the first chapter and I felt like itd be a sad as he'll story so I started to just ignore it while having music play in the background. #112/#113 Cybarian: The Time Traveling Warrior I actually really enjoyed this rata game, the cyberpunk theme was great and was pretty damn fun to play, the ezpz plat was a bonus for me tbh #114/#115 Super Weekend Mode I had a surprisingly good time with this game, didn't think I'd like it and honestly thought I'd have to force myself through it was it was decently enjoyable. Had to run the sound through the headphones while not wearing them, game is loud asf to the point of deafening. #116 Azur Lane: Crosswave As an generalanime fan I've heard of Azur Lane being similar to KanColle, so i had to check it out. I had fun for the first hour since it was something different and then it became repetitive as shit. The only edition in Australia came with pre-order bonus weapons which made the ship fights last no more than 30 secconds which ultimately sucked the fun out of the game for me and I found myself on YouTube listening to music 95% of the time while playing this. There was alot of fanservice in the loading screens which was a plus ??? #117 Ratchet & Clank The last Ratchet & Clank game I played was on the PS2 demo disc, so I didn't really remember what to expect with this game, I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed my time playing this. I know there's alot of hate for the game since it's a game about a movie, but I had fun and that's what counts. Playing this game has made me kinda want to find the PS3 game discs just to experience the originals in all of their glory. #118/119 Gravity Duck Another game from rata that was surprisingly fun on a different take on platforming. #120/#121 FoxyLand Another platforming game from rata, which was amusing for awhile. #122/#123 FoxyLand 2 Same as above but rage inducing with the first boss, got to time those jumps perfectly. #124 Maneater Remember those game you'd play as a kid that your parents wouldn't let you play because of the extreme dumb violence? Well this is it. This was a big throwback to my childhood of those excessively violent dumb games and I loved every seccond of it. The story was so good and dumb at the same time I found myself laughing alot, the narration that happened every time you got a collectable, went to your underwater base and general narration of pretty much everything was absolutely fucking hilarious. The only downside to it was I played day one and got hit with that trophy bug for 100%ing the game on the 2nd day and had to wait for Tripwire to fix it almost 8 weeks later. Now that it's fixed I'd highly recommend this game to everyone. #125 Jump Force I had always wanted to make this a milestone trophy game and I'm glad I did. I love all forms of Anime and Manga and I had an immense enjoyment playing this game. Visually it looks so fucking good, gameplay wise it was the same old shone fighter which at least for me wasn't a bad thing. The S rank grind in free missions wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be if anything once you're over level 70 I'd say it was damn easy to do. The 100 different free missions was a grind but being rank 100 made them really fast to blow through. The PvP was a laggy mess so as usual I self boosted with a 2nd PS4 which took about 5 hours for the 100 matches. As for why this is an Ultra Rare platinum? Idk I think people are just lazy. #126 The Last of Us Part 2 Let me start of with there is no such thing as a perfect 10/10 game and anyone that says differently cannot be trusted and is a liar. There is no game that can please everyone 100% period. Oh boy after being spoiled by spoilers(didn't really care tbh) I canceled the pre-order.. I know never pre-order, then I got lucky with eBay Plus at $49 on release day. I could be brutally honest, I could upset alot of people, all I'll say is I can sympathize with Abby. And tbh like the first game, I'm satisfied with the ending even though I had to play through it twice to fully understand why Abby did what she did, and why Ellie did what she did to end the cycle of hatred. Gameplay wise, I loved it just as much as the first, however to be honest I felt like the 2nd half of the game was much more fun to play as you actually dealt with the infected which for me at least was much more fun. I really really enjoyed using the explosive arrows as Ellie and really enjoyed using the Crossbow with Abby. Going prone under cars and in bushes to surprise attack was very welcome and very fun to do. Story wise like before I can see why players would be divisive however I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would, most of the spoilers was kinda true but also kinda wrong at the same time. As for people saying tlou2 has gay hidden agenda, yeah that's a big false. Ellie was Les in the first games DLC prequel events, and Abby was never a male, she's just butch or "stole asf" but if you were hellbent on revenge someday you'd be too ?, and as I said before I can understand why on both sides. As for my personal score? I'd really give it 7.5/10 like the last one, good but clearly not a masterpiece. BUT because you can pat good boi doggo I'll give it an 8/10 ?. I still really did enjoy my experience with this game and had fun even with the spoilers and the bullshit drama going around it. Now just under 2 weeks for Ghost of Tsushima and another week later for Destroy all Humans, I now have the eternal pain of figuring out what game to do in between releases.. :edit: after thinking about it this is damn LONG post ?? Popular Post Redgrave
- #186: Resistance - Resident Evil: Resistance The multi-player tie-in to RE3 Remake, which consists of one player being the Master Mind and the other team being Survivors. I really like the idea but I do feel like there are some things that keep it from being a really great game. Definitely the biggest one is the matchmaking and how unbalanced things are. It's been said before in a previous post but I'll say it anyway, but this game is definitely difficult for newcomers to join up in because the matchmaking can pit a level 1 Survivor with a level 17-100+ Master Mind that will just spam all their best zombies with buffs and traps to end the match very quickly. The worst one being Nicholai who can just use all sorts of turrets on the cameras and end the match in less than a couple minutes. On the flip side, a level 1 Master Mind can be put up against level 40-100+ and even 600+ level Survivors that know how to counter everything and have all the best abilities and know the routes, which leaves you just sitting there not being able to do anything. So leveling up in general can feel like a crawl, but I think it's tougher for Master Minds because they play by themselves whereas Survivor teams can be carried. The other thing that it could benefit from is a server system, however I feel like they didn't do this because that would just mean people would boost the trophies and stop playing which in a sense is true but it also means leaving matchmaking in the hands of whatever system they have now. Having a server system where you could set up what Master Mind you are playing as, maps with a custom layout, and a level range would help with keeping high level players from going against low level ones and would just make searching for games a lot better in general. But like I said, I feel like they didn't do it because they knew people would boost it, so I think them making the game as un-boostable as possible also holds the game back from being not only newcomer friendly but balanced in general. But that's just my theory. The trophies themselves require a lot of luck, especially for the Master Mind I think. But there's one for the Survivors where you have to beat the Bioweapon three times and for that everything just has to fall into place the way you want it to especially since it's a lot easier with a specific Master Mind that hardly anyone picks or at least didn't. Not to mention the Bioweapon tends to only get summoned twice most of the time. As for the Master Mind ones a lot of them basically require you to capitalize on the Survivors mistakes, but it can be frustrating to do when most of the time you could be paired up against high level Survivors that would know how to get around what you're doing and so you're often forced to just sit through the map and watch them run through everything. Either way though, despite all the frustration I am glad to have the Platinum. I do think there's some potential with the game but I don't feel like Capcom are really going to do much with it beyond with what they already have planned out. The whole Master Mind thing is a cool concept, but it could definitely do with some work as well as stuff with the Survivors. And once again, thanks to @Undead Wolf for playing on the Survivor team with me ?

Okonnardo
Just completed Plants vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville recently. I'm a huge PvZ fan, loved the original, thought they did pretty great for the shooter conversion, GW1 was awesome, GW2 was also great. Now it's all gone into pieces. PvZ BFN was a major letdown for me, possibly my worst gaming memory since For Honor. I didn't like it AT ALL. I played the game since original alpha or beta released, they had plenty of time to fix and balance the game but instead they kept and even made worse some of the game major flaws: - Aim is particularly off, which is really great for a shooter. I tried everything with sensitivity, with aim assist or without, I've never missed so many shots. I play shooters on a daily basis so I think I know when aim is good and when it's not. While I had absolutely no issue with the GW 1 & 2 aim system, how can you fail so hard on BFN? - Balancing: some classes/abilities feels very useless and some are way too much overpowered. Just take the DPS of some class and you'll see there are flaws in their balancing. - Time to kill: it's been an issue since day one of alpha/beta. IMO time to kill is way to short, it's been raised as an issue in dev diaries, what did they do about it ? Made it even shorter. A job well done. - Grind, yeah there's grind, lots of it. It's never been fun and it's only here to try to keep an active player base. They also adopted that crappy battle pass system where you have to spend at least an hour a day (or half of your week end on it) if you wanna unlock everything. SO MUCH FUN ! But it's not all dark here, I had quite a bit of fun doing the PVE maps for this game, plenty to explore, various acitivities to engage, lots of secrets. If they are planning sequels they have to build on that, expand PVE activities, and rehaul the whole PVP part to make it a little bit less unsufferable. Enjoyment: 1/10 Difficulty: 3/10 it's not difficult but there's way too much grind Peak of enjoyment: when I uninstalled the game, good riddance. Peak of sadness: when you give other players PvZ references and they just dont get it... "braiiiiiiinzzz"
Popular Post preciseRNG
#6 MediEvil Savior of Gallowmere Mixed feelings about this game. I really enjoyed to revive some childhood memories with Dan and this game. Since I played this as a kid and was not able to beat the game I faced my demons and finished the game and am going to lay it to rest again. The graphics did look quite nice but my (regular HDD) PS4 had quite the frame drops sometimes. They did not focus on reworking the unprecise controls tho. Fights and their outcomes are totaly random as well as the hit detection some times. I ended up charging my hammer in the beginning and then running away recharging and cheesed some enemies with that until I got better weapons. I also dislike that your health bottles do net get filled up after the end of a level / the start of a new level. You end up doing Dan's Crypt over and over again to recharge...So with that possible I don't see any need in not giving the player back their health anyway. Some jump-parts in that game sometimes got frustrating because of the strange controls the game provides. Overall a straight forward platinum which I did enjoy playing anyways. (All the trophy pictures look really nice )
Popular Post Cal
The Last of Us Part 2 So to start off I really liked this game, I love the improve gameplay making Ellie more agile she can run, jump, crawl, dodge attacks and swing on ropes. I like how you can tackle encounters differently each time, the infected still give me the creeps especially that one boss fight I needed to change my pants. The performances from all the actors were great! Ashley Johnson better win some kind of award for her performance, the game looks amazing on PS4 and I can't wait to see what it will look like on PS5 hopefully running at 60fps too. At first I didn't know what to think about the story when I first finished it and replayed it again, I then understood it a bit better and come around to actually liking it, and if I can say one thing if you are someone who sent death threats to people at Naughty Dog or to Laura Baily... you don't deserve to play video games. So yeah I liked the game hopefully in a few months time people can talk about the game without lashing out at one another for liking or hating it.
Popular Post cronocyde
Platinum #148: God of War (PS4) First trophy: 24th Apr 2018 9:31:49 PM Time to platinum (real time): 2 years, 2 months, 1 week Time to platinum (in game time): Around 30 hours Platinum rarity (PSNProfiles): 30.59% Game rating: 10/10 Trophy rating difficulty: 5/10 Not much I can add to everything that has already been said: This game is a freaking masterpiece! It's pretty rare for me to even use that word, but I think this game is perfect. I wouldn't change anything. I'm not gonna talk about anything else to avoid spoilers. If you didn't already played this for some strange reason: DO IT!
Popular Post sk_lp_him
#60 - Far Cry 3: Classic Edition Mastered the Jungle Obtain all the Trophies. A little nostalgia trip to Rook Islands. Vaas is still the best villain in Far Cry and I didn't want to kill him again but there was no choice. The game is 8 years old and the map is still huge, not Odyssey huge but still huge. Now to something more linear.
Popular Post Hanstarkiller17
Platinum #63 100% #80 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition All I can say about this game is that I don't know why I waited so long to finally play it! I started it over 3 years ago, but stopped in the first White Orchard area for whatever reason, and never went back. The recent resurgence of the game, due to the Netflix series inspired me to pick it up again and go for it. And 91 hours later, I am not disappointed!!! I played through on the Death March difficulty, and while that was pretty tough for the first 10-15 levels, it became much more manageable after that, and it is so much more rewarding to play through with a challenge compared to the easier difficulties! The DLCs were pretty great too. While the first one, "Hearts of Stone" had a great and enjoyable story line, it was a little lackluster on the side missions and area that it added. "Blood and Wine" on the other hand, was everything you could ever hope for, and then some! It took me straight into a storybook, and Geralt himself even comments about this on a couple of occasions. It added a whole new area, and a wealth of side content and missions. The story was a little longer too, and had some very different endings to explore. Then of course, there is your very own vineyard that you can upgrade and make your own, and if you chose to romance someone in the main game, they'll show up at the end of the DLC too! There is so much more I could say about this game, but really, anyone who hasn't played it yet really needs to just go ahead and start. You won't be disappointed!
StressEater
Just knocked out the game Stranded Sails. I was looking forward to the game. I heard a lot of great things about it. However, I was very unfortunate and had one of the last trophies not trigger for me. The trophy "Collector" never triggered. I was very lucky to have made a couple back up saves and was able to replay the last half and unlocked the trophy. I still had to waste another 10 hours but that was way better than another 30 hours.
Popular Post Deadly_Ha_Ha
# 30 - Final Fantasy VII Remake Difficulty - 6/10 Enjoyment - 7/10 I play a lot of WoW unfortunately, so this plat took me almost 3 months to get. It was a really great game though, and as I'm not one of the original-game purists I didn't care about anything different they did with the gameplay or the story. I think the worst part of the game itself was the slow-moving parts. Any time a game forces me to move slower than the character actually would otherwise be moving is low-key infuriating, and this game did it so much it almost became tolerable. But no, not quite, it was always awful. The game is in no way difficult outside of a few places as you're playing through on Hard for one of the trophies, namely one of the Colosseum fights and definitely, definitely the fights at the end of the game. Also somewhat difficult was the secret boss battle, but not because it itself was difficult, but because the gauntlet leading up to it was difficult to execute well enough to actually MAKE it to the secret boss. Anyway, milestone plat, account back at 100% platinum, next game is gonna be Transformers: Devastation
Popular Post Kristycism
#143 - Gris Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 2/10 TIme to Plat: ~4h Thoughts (no actual spoilers, I'm just posting four games so I don't want to stretch the page too much): Spoiler So, my sister has been going on at me to play this game since it was released, but I kept saying "Sure, soon(TM)" and never playing it. But now that I've finally played, I have to say - it was AMAZING! Such a beautiful game and I'd highly recommend it. A lot of people say this game is more of an art project than a real game - and I can sort of agree with that stance. The gameplay elements do add to the experience but it does feel more like a giant art project. That said, that did NOT take away from my enjoyment of the game at all. It is one of the most beautiful experiences in a game that I've ever come across, and I'd 100% recommend everyone to give it a go. The major draw is, of course, the actual art, which is just stunning from beginning to end. In every single scene, the art is so well done and gives off the vibe the creators were looking for perfectly. I was in awe of it, from start to finish. The soundtrack as well adds to the experience, which isn't normally something I even care about in a game. And because it's wordless, it can be enjoyed by anyone of any language equally as it shows the story of a girl conquering her own fears in her own inner world, growing stronger as she takes each step her own personal journey. Something that we can all take a little bit from. Eh, I could say more, but I wouldn't be doing the game justice because honestly, you just need to experience it firsthand to see the beauty of it. So yeah; tl;dr play this beautiful creation! #144 - Final Fantasy VII Remake Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4.5/10 Time to Plat: ~75h Spoiler Thoughts (mostly in a tag to avoid stretching the page, but there are some spoilers in another tag within): It's been almost two weeks since I finally got around to finishing this game, and I still can't really tell how I feel about it. I think overall it's a good game but there's some poor design choices made throughout that really took away from the experience. So let's go through the good and the bad. What It Does Well First off, the game is stunning. The character models are faithful to the original character designs but OMG almost every character is just drop-dead gorgeous. I mean, they even made Heidegger hot - WTF!? I hate the guy, he shouldn't be hot, but he is. And they did the same amazing job with every other character too, main and side characters. Whoever did the 3D modelling in this game should get a pay rise, seriously. The environments are quite ugly but that's the point of a run-down Midgar slums - and it's done amazingly well. The Combat is also fantastic. There were several moments throughout the game where I actually wasn't sure if I'd make it through the fights (namely in Chapter 9 and the final chapters) whilst on Normal. I'd definitely recommend playing on Normal to anyone who hasn't picked it up yet - it makes the fights actually interesting so that you can't just mash attacks and win, you actually need to pay attention and think about what you're doing. Also the step up to Hard isn't so bad when you've played on Normal - other than a few sections which really become a drain on your MP (the main issue in Hard really, managing MP well). I really enjoyed the combat the whole way through and it's honestly one of the best parts of the game. Some of the story additions are also quite good. I won't go into any detail because spoilers, but the addition of backstories to some of the characters, chapter 4 in particular, and the side quest sections are good and made the game feel fresh even though I was familiar with the original story. The Bad Choices So although the combat is amazing in the game, there's just...not enough of it. And the inbetween parts just feel like one really, really long walking simulator (you can run, but that's not the point). Seriously, the whole game is just a series of really, really long corridors. There is almost no point where you can go off the path to explore (unless you go backwards, but that'd be silly) other than a few steps to open a chest. And I really mean a few steps. But 95% of it is just walking/running along a preset path and it's just...so dull. Especially given you need two full playthroughs plus some cleanup. Although the character models are stunning, there's a lot of scenes where the faces...don't really move other than the jaw, and it's unsettling. For how great a job they did on the models, you'd think they'd do better at this. Even the main characters have some of these moments, it's not even just side characters for small dialogue either. There is one major story change that just ruined the game for me, and made me drop the game for two months. This one is a spoiler though: Spoiler Those damn Whispers. Seriously, what was the need for them? They could be removed entirely and the game would be better for it. Like, I get they probably put them there so they would feel justified in making changes to future entries, but they should've just made them anyway without adding in this "Whispers of Fate" nonsense. It's just terrible story telling and annoyed me so much. Like, why do they need to ensure Aerith doesn't fall in the Church? Just don't have her fall, no need for them there. Or any other scene where they appear to "ensure things happen" they could've just done that way and it would've been fine, no need for them. The Sephiroth additions were fine. Sure, it's breaking the canon of the original game, but they added to it, as they make him a more menacing villain for later entries, and it works. But the whispers can just eff off, they annoyed me a lot. There's probably more things I could list under both good and bad, but those are the main points to me. So yeah, I still don't know if the bad outweighs the good. I guess I did enjoy the battles enough that the gameplay seemed good to me for the most part. Eh. I'll still get the sequel whenever it arrives, though. #145 - Brawlhalla Enjoyment: 2/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time to Plat: ~110h There's nothing much to say about this. It's a Super Smash Bros clone. It's pretty decent for being a clone, though I barely played it and let the AI earn all the trophies for me, hence the low enjoyment. If you like Smash Bros you may like this, though. #146 - Fallen Legion: Sins of an Empire Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time to Plat: ~24h (could be done in less) Thoughts (no spoilers, just don't want to stretch the page): Spoiler I picked this up ages ago and only really played it for my Gaming By Numbers entry. It's actually a really good game and I'd recommend it. So, the gameplay is...well, actually, I don't know what to compare it to as I've not played other games like it. It's basically a series of battle stages featuring several fights in a row, with some story thrown in. The battles themselves, you choose your Examplars (essentially weapon types) to fight for you, and try to parry enemy attacks and get some hits in in-between with your team. I actually found it a little tough at first until I got used to the parry mechanic (mainly at the Menrva boss fight, which really kicked my ass until I got good at parrying). Once you get used to it, it's actually pretty fun to try and get through stages whilst taking as few hits as possible by properly timing your assaults. In between each fight in a stage, you're also tasked to make choices which affect your empire. Some of them have no right answer, but they all impact the story in one way or another (the major story path is the same but there are some changes to stages or additional stages depending on the choices you make). And because you have to decide fast, it's pretty fun on the first playthrough to see the consequences your decisions will make later. I was pretty proud to have maxed morale at the end of my first playthrough, with all of my Exemplars gaining their "Order" forms (basically they each evolve into Order or Chaos forms depending on your decisions). The writing of the story is pretty decent, and the Japanese voice acting is pretty good. I mean, you kind of know what the major twist at the end will be long before it happens, but the journey of getting there is decently written and keeps you interested in the characters. Or, I thought so anyway. So yeah, I really enjoyed my time with this game. It's got a counterpart (Flames of Rebellion) which follows the "other side" of the story, where the main character is seen as the villain in this entry, but I assume it's the other way around and Cecille is seen as the villain in that entry. I'll have to play the other side at some point when I have time as I'm really curious to see what happens there too after playing this! Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #97 Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones This is the last part of the Sands of Time trilogy, the last classic Prince of Persia from the PS2 era. If the Sands of Time is more puzzle and platforming oriented, and Warrior Within is combat heavy, the Two Thrones is the middle ground. Sadly I have to repeat myself: this is, by far, the worst port I have ever played. Those games look awful, I think they even look worse than they did on PS2. I know those are remasters, and not remakes, but Ubisoft could have put at least a little of love on those games. In this game the models look awful, it is like their eyes will pop at any moment. They could have at least redone the models for the Prince, Farah, Kaileena and the Vizier, all of them look terribly. It looks so goofy that I giggled a little sometimes, but this franchise deserved a more respectful treatment. Kaileena laying on the beach at the start was one of the ugliest things that I watched in recent times. The combat is like the one on Warrior Within: outdated. It's slow, clunky, uninspired and without depth like its predecessor. Even the Dark Prince sequences are not enough to make the combat good. To make things worse, they recycled many things from the prequel. From the Prince moveset to the enemies. The game features more puzzles and platforming than Warrior Within, but even with the addition of metal plates and pressure panels they still feel bland. Even though you are in a very big city, the game feels like you're following a corridor, you have absolutely no freedom. The only thing that I can praise are the Speed Kills, that added a stealth element to the game. Maybe they should have invested on this, so TTT would feel less like a souless game and would have a more unique feeling like the other two. The trophy list is very similar to Warrior Within: story trophies, difficulty related, for collecting all health upgrades, killing enemies in a certain way and one undefeated run. This game is easier than the second one. It is shorter, it is easier to acquire a second weapon, you have way more chances to refill your Sand Tanks, and almost all fights are avoidable. Boss fights does not feel as long and have better checkpoints to retry, and are also easier. Enemies are not as tough, both in damage and resistance, and near the end you will acquire a second weapon that will literally kill everything with one strike, even on hard. On your hard run you should always try to speed kill or throw your enemies from high places. If not possible, just do what you have to. After the first run you will be familiar enough with the game to do this. The kills related trophies should come naturally, different from the ones on Warrior Within. Now, lets talk about the dreaded Sand Snake trophy. There are many conflicting reports online, but I will be short and say what I did. I wrote a more in depth post on a related thread on the game forum. I decided to try the trophy on my first run on Easy. I did this because I knew of the possibility of the trophy not popping, but I also tried to test the limits. Since I would still net to run through the game 2 more times anyway, I could adjust if it not popped. The Prince screamed, fell on bottomless pits, was killed in combat, I crashed the chariot, all of this happened. When I ran out of Sand Tanks to rewind, I paused and quit to main menu. I did not care if my gauge was blue and red, only red or empty, I would just quit. If you wait too much, you will not be able to pause. When this happened I quit via XMB. I never saw the full game over screen. On one occasion I saw one of the gold lines, but nothing bad happened. I failed one of the health upgrades, respawned, and immediately quit via XMB, and this not voided the trophy. I fell 2 times on the last sequence with the Dark Prince, and the trophy popped normally. I played the PSN version of the game, and I think that if you pause and quit, or quit via XMB, you will be fine. And just for the record, although I saved my save regularly on the cloud, I only kept one save file during all time. This was my least favorite PoP game from the PS2, and replaying this did not change this. Maybe they should have added more stealth elements, so at least this game would be more unique. The use of the concept of duality was very poor. Having platted all PoP games, I just wish that someday the Prince returns in all its glory on the next gen. I would sacrifice the entire Assassin's Creed franchise just to play one or two new PoP games.
Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #115 - Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns Eternal Light, 17.88% Rarity Difficulty - 3/10, Time Spent - ~42 Hours , Enjoyment 7.5/10 Lightning Returns is the final game in the Final Fantasy XIII saga. Lightning has woken up from her stasis in order to help God collect souls from the dying world so that he may bring them into the new world. There are only 13 days left on the planet, so Lightning has to work fast to help save humanity, and possibly see her sister, Serah, again. Lightning Returns kind of scared me to play because of the game's time mechanics. I'm not new to time mechanics being a huge fan of the PS3-era Atelier games, but LR's time mechanics are literally based on the amount of time you are playing rather than actions you are taking. As I'm one of those people who perfer to take my time with JRPGs and explore every nook and cranny, this did not appeal to me. Hence, it sat on my shelf for about 5 years. However, the time mechanics weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be; you have an ability called Chronostasis which will allow you to pause time at the expense of using EP, however EP is easily come by in the game so it's not that hard to remain in Chronostasis as much as you want. So the time barrier is rarely a nuisance in the game and shouldn't be a reason for you to put it off. I definitely enjoyed the active-style battle in this game. Having different garment schemata was definitely fun to play around with. As long as you had the right set up with the right abilities, battles were pretty easy (though if you went into it with the completely wrong set-up, the battles could be a total nightmare and take 10x as long as they needed to). Even the super bosses, Aeronite and Ereshkigal, were relatively simple to defeat once you knew how to tackle them. I was able to defeat them both on my second attempt at them because of what I had learned NOT to do in my first attempt. The one thing I did not like in the game was "level" progression. Unlike most JRPGs, you do not gain levels or experience in this game. Instead, you gain increases on your stats. And you don't do this by defeating monsters; instead you get stat increases from completing quests and side quests. This means that there is a set cap in the game on all your stats. I personally perfer grinding levels to make my characters over-powered. However, due to these stat caps, this makes you think about the schemata that you devise for battles rather than relying on being over leveled. Lastly, the story in this game was great. Unlike the other FFXIII games, you pretty much get told everything you need to know about the game through the cutscenes and various dialogue in the game; the prior entries made you look everything up in the in-game primers to fully understand what was going on. This game does have a primer that gives out additional information, but you don't necessarily need to use it this time around. It also ties up a bunch of loose ends from the rest of the games, leaving little unanswered. I definitely think that this game is worth your time, but only if you've invested time in the prior two games as well. I believe it would be rather confusing to just dive into it without having the prior knowledge from the first two games.
Popular Post Conor
#68- ASSASSIN'S CREED: ROGUE (PS3) Platinum Trophy Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time Taken: 6 days, 4 hours, 54 minutes (35 hours in-game) Rarity: 2.3% Ultra Rare (PSN) / 20.25% Uncommon (PSNProfiles) Hardest Trophy: Master of the North Atlantic- All legendary battles completed "I make my own luck..." So here I am at last, finished with the Assassin's Creed series on PS3. Rogue in many ways feels like an expansion on Black Flag, it often to its detriment. With Assassin's Creed: Unity launching exclusively on 8th generation platforms, Ubisoft decided that they didn't want to abandon the audience they had so they borrowed a ton of assets from Black Flag and made a new story. I was very interested by the premise of playing as a Templar, Shay Patrick Cormac, like the twist at the beginning of Assassin's Creed III. However, the storyline is very short and despite some interesting characters and developments, it falls a bit short and left me wondering what could have been if this game had been Ubisoft's full focus instead of Unity. Straight from Black Flag is the naval exploration and combat- it's all good here as well and I have to say that the Morrigan, when fully upgraded, is the coolest looking ship in the series. Nothing is much different save for the primary setting being the North Atlantic regions of Canada with frigid water that damages Shay if he swims in it for too long. A new hazard in the form of icebergs presents itself but otherwise much remains the same. I hated how Shay only had two pistols instead of four. I didn't like the grindy upgrades and waiting ages for the sips in the naval campaign to reach their destinations. The last Legendary ship battle was significantly harder than the other three as well as anything in Black Flag and the present day timeline went absolutely nowhere. But still, what was good was good and it was a nice little side game all the same. Not much else to say, really.

Popular Post Ryudi1998
What a name for a platinum lol Man of Steal . 3.88% I was waiting for it to be on sale for a long time, I didn't know what it was all about, but this game's image looks so cool that I added it to my "wishlist". Last week, it went 90% off (2dollars/7reais), cheap, so I decided to see what people think about it... Most of them said it was boring, then I looked up for the trophies in this guide. "It looks like a game that I would like to plat", so I bought it. I really don't like to do +1 playthrough just because for the trophies, My first run is just to enjoy the game while on a specific difficulty setting, do the missables (collectables included, only if the game is long) and the grind ones (do everything, basically), however, in this game, you can replay the story to pick up the collectables, so I thought: "I'll pick them later, because on the hardest difficulty is kinda hard?). This will sound dumb, but I forgot that I can't change the difficulty setting... so... Either I play everything again or I just begin another story on the easiest difficult, red wins and I did +1 playthrough for nothing (at least the jobs were easier too) It's my 49th platinum and I was thinking about hold some almost finished ones, and plat Super Bomberman R because it would be nice if it was my 50th platinum ( a 0.72%), but nah I still have some 130 hours of just grind and I have other games to play ? Popular Post Masamune
Eternal Light Proof of a true master who has excelled in all things and has collected all possible trophies. Difficulty: 3.5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Playtime: 44:34:26 (1 week, 1 hour, 49 minutes) That concludes the FFXIII trilogy... for a second time (right behind @eigen-space). Overall the series is quite good, I still think LR is the weakest entry in the series though, both the story & battle system isn't as good as the other two (although still way better than XV). Two things I always thought was stupid in this game though is the fact you can't upgrade your equipment till NG+, & also pretty much everything transfers to NG+, except the best weapon in the game... so basically you can get it for the final boss fight, & that's it. ? I give LR a slightly higher difficulty rating than XIII-2, but the only reason for that is because you really need to be using a guide to make things easier on yourself. There's not much of anything that poses a lot of difficulty in the game (especially if you're playing on easy), the hardest thing is probably just beating Aeronite, & I did that on the first day he was available without too much trouble. Popular Post ShinigamiSensei-
#162: AKIBA'S BEAT Beat Akiba's ACQUIREd all other Akiba's Beat trophies. Shin Megami Tensei: Tales from the Akihabara's cyber sleuth Akiba's Beat was a disappointing follow up to what was a flawed but entertaining game (yes, i really enjoyed Akiba's Trip). The mayority of gameplay involves walking to a location to button through some dialogue or progressing through tedious and repetitious dungeons stretched to breaking point as you're asked to do the same thing over and over and over. Each dungeon has their own enemies but in reality they are the same ten enemy designs over and over but with a different colour or texture on them. You could say the same about the dungeons themselves i guess, as they are always a pathway floating in the middle of nowhere with just a different background and different props floating around. It makes what is an already less than engaging experience, well, boring. On the other hand...the story was good, the characters design were pretty great and there's a surprising amount of voice acting, most of which was quite solid, so maybe if you think of Akiba's Beat as a visual novel with some light gameplay elements instead of thinking of it as an action RPG, then you'll probably enjoy it a whole lot more. Popular Post Yoey_666
#365 - Cat Quest II As with the first game, I really loved the art style of this game. The fact that you play everything on top of your worldmap is just cool. I played this game completely in local coop with my wife. Again, a really fun experience with a shitload of catpuns. Pawsome game.
