Popular Post Akeachi
#20 (milestone) - Devil May Cry 5 Enjoyment : 9/10 Difficulty : 6/10 (Personally) Rarity : 3.17% This is my 2nd favourite PS4 game next to Bloodborne so I'm happy that I got both as milestones on top of each other? The best thing about this game is definitely the gameplay! I just really like experimenting with the tools I have playing as Nero, Dante and V! While V isn't as fun or has a deep combat system as Nero and Dante but he's a welcome addition and a nice change of pace imo. The concept is really cool but I would've benefited from better controls for him. Cause the other 2 characters' controls are tight! But his controls felt a little clunky at times The story starts interesting and it's well presented to keep you interested but in the end when everything's unfold it isn't that good of a story, maybe I'd even say it's bad. Also I don't like how the game got pretty serious in the 2nd half. The level design is good but it gets repetitive after mission 10 because after that mission you'll mostly be playing in demonic level theme, such a shame because the city environments was really cool Speaking of environments, the graphics are so good! I typically don't care about graphics but holy hell the graphics here are one of the best I've seen in a game and seeing all this beauty play in 60FPS was fascinating. Sadly most games this gen prioritized graphics over performance even in games I love like Bloodborne, Sekiro etc. Platinum-wise it's really overrated in terms of difficulty considering all the ways you can cheese S-Ranks All the trophies are really easy and can be done in a few hours except the S-Rank on all difficulties but there's some methods to cheese them I really recommend learning how to use the jump cancelling mechanic, it makes the platinum waaaaaaaaay easier! It will make the game more fun as well (without it I wouldn't say the gameplay is that good tbh but if you're using the gameplay will become godlike) Nero : there isn't something with that I could call cheesing but I recommend abusing jump cancel and charged pistol I also recommend using Rag Time and Buster arms they're really helpful, Rag time makes you able to slow down time for about 7 seconds per use and Buster makes you one-shot every enemy if you charge it/break it Dante : just simply use Dr Faust lol (also aim for no damage runs) V : Use auto-assist and keep the camera away from your enemy to not get hit and also aim for getting no damage runs, if you get hit you can quit instantly and get back from the checkpoint and continue like nothing happened I also recommend using Alan Conqvist's Guides for cheesing S-Ranks Using these methods the missions will just be about trial and error and sometimes getting lucky to get the pattern you want. Imo it's more time consuming than difficult but it has some difficult missions to S-Rank like M8,10&12 In the end this is a must play title and one of the best games this gen! The platinum while it's not easy I don't see it as a 9 or 10/10 as some people I saw claiming but it's still quite annoying but nothing more than a 5-6/10

Popular Post Viper
#193 Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order A New Hope I had a bit of a rough start with this one. As someone who refuses to play the Souls series, this style of combat really kicks my ass, and I was only playing on Normal difficulty. While I certainly improved as the game went on...I'd say I wouldn't have beaten the Second Sister if it wasn't for having 10 Stim Paks at my disposal. I can safely say I'm trash at this style of combat and it only reinforces why I won't play Soulsborne games. It was to the point of bringing my enjoyment down until I was more than half way through the game. I'd rather run through slicing everything to pieces than to be patient and time my parries and dodges. Customization for the Lightsaber was cool. But it sucked that we couldn't make it red or even use a Darksaber. And...why a poncho? Most of them didn't even look good, I stuck to the same one for most of the game. Overall it was a good game, I'll certainly play a sequel. However, the very end made me roll my eyes. Other than "a certain someone" making an unexpected cameo...I hate when stories have you going through hell to get something...then when you finally succeed the protagonist is just like "nah, changed my mind bruh!".

Popular Post yellowwindow7
Grand Master of Trophies / Lego Ninjago Movie: The Video Game got this game for free when WB Games did a similar free offer to Playstation's Play At Home program, as this game been giving away for free for ps4, XBONE and PC users and i can now see why... of all of the decent Lego games they have they gave away nearly the worst one of the bunch that i'm pretty sure it didn't sold so well. it's also very buggy and glitchy, the graphics looks like an early ps3 game so i expected it to run at 60FPS on something like the ps4 ( i have the base ps4 ) but nope! it ran at 30FPS but will dip to the 20's with some lagging here and there, and the loading times took forever! i swear i entered a loading screen then i went to the kitchen prepare some mango drink and return to my room to see the game is still loading... i did made an oath and swear to myself to not buy any movie tie-in game with my own money ( still didn't break that oath ? ) especially after the last crappy movie game i ever bought which was Coraline on the ps2, but my rule is that if i got these games without paying or a friend of mine lend it to me is fine then, and so i got this one free of charge ( it's not even a PS Plus game ) the platinum is very easy to obtain... easy platinums is very common in these type of games, you barely gonna need a guide for it too.. though it can be grindy to some players, even though this is pretty normal in a lego game. speaking of lego games, i don't have any background about the Lego Ninjago stuff, the most things i know is when i was bored and watching TV, they usually aired the TV series on kids channels here and i knew them from there but never bother seen any episode, so my complaint is not aimed toward the Ninjago source material, i was rating it as a lego game. then again, from all of the lego games i only bought the two Lego Indiana Jones games that was on the ps2 and played them with my brother and that was that and after like 12 years have passed i played this. i had a short amount of fun " while it lasted " playing it, especially during free roam mode even though some collectibles can be a pain to reach thanks to the location markers pointing me to a weird direction, though it could use a detailed map of the area i'm in instead of that stupid mini map thing, maybe kids might gonna like this game though, since it's really aimed at them. the graphics despite how meh it looks i gotta say at some areas it looks a bit cool especially when the lights seen shining on the glossy surfaces, as i liked how they squeezed in some sort of a ray tracing tricks where the lego parts shows some reflection to each others, not the best but it's there, and maybe that is what causing the framerate to go crazy or something? or maybe the game engine itself is outdated to run all of that.
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #526: Difficulty: 6/10 Playtime: 15-20 hours Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Rounding off the trilogy is my own personal favourite, and indeed one of the first PSX games I ever played. First time I ever played a PlayStation was at the local swimming hall, where if you swam for a certain amount of time you'd be allotted some quality time with Sony's first born. The games they had were Crash 3 (and yes, it's bloody Crash 3 and anyone who says different is a goof!) and Spyro the Dragon... which didn't really click with me at the time, but that first impression may well change sooner rather than later (watch this space). Considering I was playing under a different kind of time pressure than that posed by the time trials, I got pretty good at it right fast. Half a year (we weren't exactly given long sessions) and I got very close to finishing it... then they randomly got rid of the PSOne for no reason that I was ever able to fully ascertain. Finished it years later on the PS2, but certainly only with the bare minimum in the Relic department. One or two golds, at best? Anyways, enough rambling. Contrary to most, I find Warped a breath of fresh air compared to its prequels, what with its interesting gameplay variations. The normal levels are still top notch, anyways, and the gimmick levels rarely overstay their welcome. There's a lot more room for error, and the game flows better as a result, even if sometimes the lowered difficulty can be a little to its detriment. It's definitely the easiest one of the three when played normally... and honestly, the progression flow suits me to a T. The time trials, though, are actually pretty dead tied with CB2. A majority of the levels are relatively easy, but there are a few that'll throw you for a loop, moreso in the department of getting a good finish time, whereas in CB2, and CB1, for that matter, the bigger challenge is usually just making it through the level under time pressure at all. The levels were designed with time trials in mind as opposed to the retrofitting that abounds in other remasters, and it shows. There are some five-six levels that really force you to maximize your time, forcing you to really make the most of Crash's increased arsenal of moves. Thus have I conquered the trilogy. If you really want proof of how much better I've gotten at CB when for the first time I've had something more riding on time trials than Pride and Accomplishment alone, I decided to do the bonus level as my final gold when I could have done it with the first level just because. Egads, all this hardcore Bandicootery has turned me into a Blood Knight, it seems! Anyways, even with my misgivings about AA's remastering job, I've had a good time overall, and completing the trilogy really has made me appreciate Naughty Dog's tight game design even more. It'll be interesting to see if I really will go back to the original games or not. Time will tell. Speaking of time, I'm pretty excited for what CB4 will bring, and whether I'll even be able to Bandicoot the shit out of whatever challenges they've got in store for us. Nothing left to do but celebrate with some slightly raunchy dancing, I guess! WHOA!

Popular Post Intoner_Zero
#148: Final Fantasy VIII Remastered This game is kinda like those teen flicks of the '90's and early 2000's; it's like everything to you when you experience it when you're young, but when you go back to it as an adult the stuff comes off as "so bad it's good", cringy, and embarrassing lol. While VIII is regarded as one of the most weak entries in the FF universe, I always have a soft spot for it. I don't mind the Draw system, it's an interesting take on the magic system along with Junction to raise/improve the character's stats. The story, well, it leaves a little something to be desired. I like that it's supposed be a love story, but Squall and Rinoa didn't really convince me of that. Would have liked more emphasis on the 'how and why' rather than coming to 'I just do'. Regardless, the cast are fun characters and I totally love the world lore, particularly the Sorceress legacy, and aesthetics. Music is generally flawless and CG movie scenes took it to the next level after experiencing VII's scenes at the time. Nice to play this again after a decade and a half! I only managed to completely beat it once back then, most of my playthroughs were heavy on Disc 1-3 lol. Thank fuck for God Mode, going through Ultimecia's castle without it would have been a huge pain

Popular Post SirWaWa
Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns I've been wanting this platinum for years and finally got it. This game was complete hell for me even on easy. I did not fully understand the battle system many years ago and it wasn't until I played FF7R (strangely) that I fully understood how LR's battle system worked. So the part that I was stuck on was the 2 superbosses and even with 2 playthrough's under my belt it wasn't enough (I still didn't get the upgrade accessory trophy) and I didn't have the proper equipment setup (only partially) and didn't upgrade my skills, though I don't think this was required. A base level 3 or 4 should be enough, so a third playthrough was warranted regardless. So after years of hiatus another new game plus and I sped through the game using a visual walkthrough and completed it in about a week. After gathering the proper accessories and having even higher stats than before I finally go to Aeronite (again). Demolished him the first try, 5 stars but very sloppy play for me. I used half my items to get through it. Next was Ereshkigal, after arriving at the ultimate lair and changing my schemeta and equipment setup it was time for the re-match. It took me 3 tries to defeat him. The first try I didn't time the overclock right and lost the stagger time, I wasn't doing enough damage so I gave up. The second try Ereshkigal managed to cast protective buffs on himself so again I wasn't doing enough damage but the overclock was timed right. The third time the overclock was slightly timed wrong again but this time not nearly as bad as the first time. I couldn't finish him off with all my overclocks but he had only about 10% health life and just brute forced the rest. Used one item, all overclocks, sloppy play but still with 5 stars. I just cannot play this game at a high level but it looks so easy. I'm so glad this is done with and got my platinum.
Popular Post ShinigamiSensei-
#164: 11-11: MEMORIES RETOLD 100%Get all trophies I feel this game is definitely a hidden gem, the game is just beautiful. It has a great story that is very well told: Two very different people, a Canadian photographer and a German engineer, who are dragged into a war they don't really care about, as enemies. And when they finally meet, an improbable friendship develops. This story does not favour any sides and really punches through with the feeling of how human beings are all the same no matter how different we are. The audio design was flawless, from the mostly superb voice-acting to the fantastic poignant soundtrack. I had doubts about playing this title, but I'm glad i wound up giving it a chance. Overall it was just a great experience, and i highly recommend this game to everyone who likes good story-focussed games like Valiant Hearts: The Great War. Idk, i get the feeling this game doesn't have the visibility it deserves. And that's really a shame. Guys, give this game a chance! It deserves it ☺️ Enjoyment: 8.5/10 (the visual style is unique, i liked it, but may not be for everyone.) Popular Post ZoutjeNL
#40 Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First SinEnjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 5/10 As someone who absolutely adores the Souls series (and souls like games too), after completing all the games previously on PC I wanted to do it all again on Playstation. Dark Souls 2 often gets a lot of hate and despite the issues I still think this game has a lot of charm and quality to offer. After a couple years playing it again I felt right at home. A few negatives I have are: Bad hitboxes, sometimes they really feel unfair compared to the other souls titles, quantity over quality bosses (some bosses are fantastic especially DLC but a lot of main game bosses are forgettable), the requirement to level up Adaptability to increase i-frames. Without this stat the game feels really sluggy. The first time playing this on PC I wasn't aware and once I discovered how important this stat is it really is a game changer. Next to these issues I have no problems with the game, a variety of enemies and hexes make a nice addition. Weapons feel fun to use with a lot of variety in choices and builds and some pretty cool areas (also some poopy ones). Overall a fun and challenging game and I really think this Souls game isn't as bad as many people claim it to be. Of 1-3 it is my least favourite but still a great game. Trophy wise it is pretty standard with Souls games. This time around no boss weapons are required but Miracles, Hexes, Pyromancies and Sorceries will take the most of your time. There are some missable ones so I suggest to read the guides so you don't lock yourself out of these trophies, in worst case you do it on NG+. For the final Pyromancies/Miracles you have to reach NG++ anyway so 2,5 playthroughs is the minimal requirement. If you love Souls games despite the issues this is worth a play.

Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #527: LEGO The Hobbit Difficulty: 2.5/10 Playtime: 26-27 hours Enjoyment: 8/10 Now, I'm not gonna go into some lengthy rant about how disappointed I was in the Hobbit trilogy, being such a massive fan of The Lord of the Rings films, but suffice to say, this was a much more enjoyable way to experience the story. It's too bad it's only two thirds of it, but what can you do? The Hobbit IP seemed tailor-made for Traveller's Tales playful and irreverent light-heartedness, to the point that in tone, it's a lot more in keeping with Tolkien's original literary work than the hamfisted Diet 'Rings aesthetic of the films. Character traits are cleverly transposed into game mechanics (even if it, for instance, leaves Thorin in the bottom tier of Dwarvish Usefulness, what with his oaken shield being his sole point of uniqueness), and I'd say it's probably the amongst the keenest in the bunch in terms of LEGOfying movie flashpoints without stretching it out, like butter scraped over too much bread. Meaning, the levels play at a pleasantly brisk pace, and Free Playing concordantly follows suit. As anyone with much experience with LEGO games will tell you, this is the exception rather than the rule. In fact, for once, Free Playing is as quickly done away with to the point of being an afterthought. The real meat of the game, even moreso than in the LEGO LOTR game (still my second or third favourite) lies in the various side quests that dot the lovingly rendered overworld. And there's a whole lot of variety to these, from escort missions and playing hide and seek, to tracking down Rhosgobel rabbits and fighting Azog the Defiler's mum. Honestly, as far as blatantly padded busywork goes, this is a pretty enjoyable time to be had. It also, unexpectedly, boasts an awesome and actually fast fast travel feature that has you carried over the world map in real time by a giant eagle (Hey, can we stop off at Mount Doom while we're at it? No reason!), so there's that. It's the most fun I've ever had with the Hobbit IP, and a damn solid LEGO game at that, even if ultimately is a bit too much of a LEGO LOTR rethread to truly earn some accolades (Funny how that works, eh?). And again, the lack of the complete story does diminish the proceedings more than a little. An unexpectedly good journey, all the same.
