Popular Post erwint0920
#40 Ratchet & Clank The Hero of Heroes Collect every trophy in Ratchet & Clank Okay, where to begin. This was my first and probably my last, I for sure will not be buying any Ratchet & Clank game in the near future. I did not like it and the 'Death by Disco' trophy did not help. I had to play 4 challenge mode 4 times before the trophy popped.
Popular Post ZoutjeNL
#41 LEGO Ninjago Movie: The VideogameEnjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I really like the LEGO games. Altough they are fairly similar I really like the humor and how they transition to LEGO. LEGO Ninjago was probably one of my last choices to play of all the LEGO games available, but it being free it was a nice opportunity to check it out! Overall this game was my least favourite one of the LEGO games that I played so far. The humor was less and the story felt rushed in the end. The collecting of the items was a bit different this time around, not in the levels but in freeplay. It being free it was a nice experience but not exceptional. One thing I got blessed with is no bugs. I read a lot of people were having issues so I made sure to backup my save after every level.
Popular Post Carol
#194 Erica That's a Wrap Unlock all bronze, silver and gold trophies. I like these types of games, so I was interested in "Erica" since it came out. I'm glad I didn't end up buying it, because Sony surprised us this month, adding this bonus game to the IGC. This FMV game tells the story of Erica, a girl who lives haunted by her father's brutal murder, when she was just a young child. When similar murders start happening, Erica is taken, for safety reasons, to the Delphi House, a psychiatric hospital her father founded. From there, she will help the police and a series of events will unfold. I have to say that I didn't find the story that great. It's entertaining and interesting enough while it lasts, but most characters you meet and even Erica, to some extent, aren't very likeable and you can see from the beginning that there's something fishy about them. In general, I think "Late Shift" was better. Trophy-wise, this is a very easy platinum, that only depends on making different choices, finding some collectibles and unlocking all major endings. This means you will be playing through the game a lot, but each playthrough takes less than two hours, so it isn't that painful.

Popular Post Juzota
#140 - Narcos: Rise of the Cartels ¿Plata o Plomo? Complete all Trophies in the game If you are a fan of XCOM-series, do yourself a favor and don't bother with this game. This might look like a game just for you, but it isn't. Anything that is good with XCOM is nowhere near to be found in the world of Narcos. Biggest negative for me was the fact that you only move one of your soldiers per turn, not like in XCOM where you can move you're whole squad. This one thing kinda ruined this whole game for me because it made the combat really boring. Bleh... Enjoyment: 3/10 Difficulty: 3/10

Popular Post MidnightDragon
#56 Maneater This game, described by its creators as a shark RPG, is definitely one of the more interesting and fun concepts I've played in quite some time. Nothing on the list is difficult to do and you'll get many of the trophies just by playing through the story. The story is pretty weak: you play a shark who wants revenge against the man who murdered her mother and disfigured her. The main aspects of this story are the exploration and activities. Another cool aspect is you can give your shark evolutions to increase her powers. You could have a shark that has bone fins that will provide extra defense and damage against boats, electric teeth that stun, and so on. You have to eat a lot of creatures to be able to upgrade. Luckily there's no shortage of things to eat, from catfish to humans. There's also a GTA aspect to it, where you eat enough humans and they send bounty hunters after you. You can either defeat them or run away. There are plenty of collectibles to be had and a number of boss battles, mainly against giant predators. There is a narrator who makes a lot of tongue in cheek remarks about things, but it's usually quite amusing. The game isn't perfect, though. Fortunately, I didn't run into any major glitches while playing and my game only crashed once. Combat feels a bit too simple at times, the gameplay can get a little repetitive and there's occasional frame rate lag. Also, the game is quite short and can easily be completed in 10-12 hours or so. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed my time as the maneater overall.

Popular Post PooPooBlast
#143 Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma Spoiler Time Dilemma - Anagram for "Me? I'm Zero. I'm Delta" O_O Not going to delve into any spoilers so I'll keep it vague and general. You're more than welcome to discuss this game with me in a PM . Brilliant game and a brilliant closure to that of the Zero escape Trilogy. Happy to see that they kickstarted this game to conclude the sequel baiting of VLR! Loved the usage of bootstrap paradoxes (infinite timeloops) as well which kind of left me mindblown about how that connects to VLR. Storywise, Zero Escape is known for incorporating lots of philosophical bits such as the purpose of life, meaning of life and using pseudoscience to describe certain supernatural phenomena or even natural phenomena but with a video gamey twist if you will. As a biology nerd, I was laughing my ass off though on how the writers used Epigenetics as a mechanism to explain certain super powers without going into spoilers . It's great fiction to lose yourself into and to just think about if that was real life I guess.. There were a few days where I would literally lie down in bed and think about a few things before I drift into sleep. Unlike the previous games, Time Dilemma makes you play the story in fragments which on one hand cleverly fits the whole game's theme but on the other could make for a disjointed experience jumping around especially if you dont have time to binge play it because it's so easy to forget things, that is unless you write things down. And on top, a lot of the fragments are short which means you'll find yourself in rooms to escape quite so often without realizing why which kills the pace of the game as each room takes a good effort to think about and time to complete. It kind of burns you out doing them back to back. But again.. it matched with what the game was trying to accomplish. It's a 50/50 concept for me so I feel like the beauty of this game happens when you persevere and are able to connect the dots yourself after spending a couple of hours at first. I've had a couple of those AHA moments which were very rewarding. Cant say I have anything else that's bad to say about the game other than that the animations can be janky but I didnt think it was terrible. It was meh but so was Life is Strange and that game won me over as well. Overall, I'm satisfied with the closure that I got and I think Zero Escape got the conclusion it deserved. Great VNs and highly recommend to anybody who's into this genre. Well.. Time for Yakuza 5 for Trophy #8000! Popular Post ladynadiad
#158 Raging Loop: And #159 Dark Cloud: So pretty much this is one really good game and one really awful game. Raging Loop was great. Loved the story and really just had a hard time tearing myself away from it because I was eager to see how the story would end. Definitely would recommend it to fans of visual novels, especially to fans of the Zero Escape and Danganronpa series because they have so much in common with being based off a deadly game. Dark Cloud wasn't quite so enjoyable. Heard decent things about the series and this game was a major letdown of so many poor design choices and nothing to make the game worth putting up with all those poor design choices. Pretty much it's a game with an okay story and so many bad mechanics that it left the game with nothing that I can say was done well and makes this game worth the time spent. The only good thing is that it's a reasonable length platinum for an RPG, but if I wanted a short RPG there are so many better ones out there with good stories, characters and gameplay. This one definitely is not recommended and I disliked it to the point that despite me owning its sequel, I have removed it from my PS4 and my backlog and won't be bothering with it.
Popular Post RoastedPeanut
#75 - Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey Difficulty - 3/10 Enjoyment - 8/10 Definitely one of the easier Atelier platinums, but still very enjoyable. Made life difficult by missing the one missable trophy in my playthrough, but a very quick NG+ playthrough of the first half of the game with optimised battle equipment and a couple of Lightning Crystals made quick work of that. I really need to go back and start getting the platinums for the Vita games I started
Popular Post madbuk
#378 - Erica I had contemplated buying this on sale multiple times, because the premise seemed interesting enough and I had never played an FMV game before so it'd be something unique to try. I always held off though because of the extremely mixed feedback I had seen. Some people swear it's a good game, others hate it. I was excited when it came to PS+ so I could try it out for "free", and it has made me quite glad that I never spent any money on it. For a first playthrough, the game is alright. It's nothing great - the acting is okay but the story doesn't really get explained at all, and the controls are horrible. For the next 4-5 playthroughs.. it never really changes whatsoever and makes just as little sense. You can kind of piece things together but it's very vague about everything and who knows if your interpretation will even be close to the real one. The game requires constant interaction from you, so you can't afk until an important choice comes up. You can't skip through scenes you've already seen like you can in VNs, so you're basically just watching the same mediocre one and a half (feels more like two tbh) hour movie over and over and over. It just isn't fun or engaging at all. I strongly advise avoiding this one even though it's "free" at the moment. If the premise sounds extremely promising to you, I'd then suggest maybe trying it on an alt account so you wont have to commit to 4+ more playthroughs of the exact same movie.

Popular Post Godo Fwar
#336 - Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Gamer Earn all other trophies! One of the most difficult plats I've ever achieved. I found this game very enjoyable until I reached area 6 on Adventure Mode. I thought about packing it in but then I felt that my efforts would've been wasted. So I kept going and after so many failed attempts on certain levels (the most of which being on 6-4), I managed to attain all the stars needed for the final boss. Fortunately enough, it wasn't necessary to fulfil all the requirements in addition to defeating the boss, which made it much easier. I also had my eye on the game for a while until it became free on the PS Store, so that was a welcome bonus.
Popular Post Ala-Arska
Dex (PS4) Dex Complete the game Dirt, stains, blood, filth. Yup, I'm horny. Now this is a very randomly chosen game, but a surprisingly good one. Dex is a futuristic, 2D cyberpunk-light-action-RPG. With hacking elements that look like Bentley's Hackpack There's a hint of Blade Runner, a dash of SNES great Shadowrun and a splash of an awesome book Neuromancer. With this setting, it's an easy sell for me. And it certainly makes it harder to be objective when considering the game's pros and cons. Pros: Atmosphere. It does have that 90's PC/retro feel to it, almost like I've played this before. Story. Although by far not the most original one, but entertaining enough to stay for the whole ride. Characters. Good sidekicks aside, the main protagonist has a sarcastic sense of humour, low morale, and blue hair = hawt It doesn't drag on. Lots of short quests and some exploration, but nothing that yells "We are the knights who say 'Ni'!" "Get on with it!" Cons: Music. It's not bad per se, just repetitive and not earwormy at all. Controls. Again, not the worst, but clunky and takes time to getting used to. Stuttering. This happens in the hacking sections. More of an annoyance than hindrance. Dex is a title suitable for fans of the kind of sci-fi that was made in the 80's. Which was awesome, in case you were wondering
Popular Post BlackSnake1435
Platinum #45 The Last of Us - Part II Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoy: 8.5/10 Finally, I got this platinum. As a person who loved the first one for the ps3 and then remastered for ps4, I must say, I enjoyed this game a lot and it was a very nice attemp from Naughty Dogs, however, despite of been a great game, is not close to be a masterpiece as it was the first one. In terms of playabilily, this game its just amazing and there are many improvements here, such as including the dodge system and adding more skills, I guess. The graphic appartment shows a hughe improvement as well, but as it is for myself, this is one of the things I pay the least attention at while rating a game. The story, its perhaps the weakest part in the game, I don't want to go into datails to avoid spams, but the charcater of Abby just doesn't work as a protagonist for me, and from the very beginning the game makes you hate her (in most of cases, from what i've seen) as well as her friends and after that you have to play around 10 hours as her. The ending doesn't convice me that much, but it gives you the next message :nothing good results from revenge. With all that said, I definetely recommend it, because even if I agree that the first one is better, it is not nearly as bad as the critics "haters" claim.
Popular Post Katt
Toukiden Kiwami The Ultimate Slayer All trophies obtained. Proudly achieved on PS Vita after 4 years and 6 months. Amazing game, amazing story and amazing music. The grinding was brutal and the No Armor battles, thanks to some people over the internet, I was able to beat these ones without much trouble. My Loveblade naginata was a key element to make this game less difficult. Now I'm joining the Top 500 who have achieved this platinum since its launch in 2015. I did almost everything alone, but I managed to play with some wonderful companions a couple weeks ago.

Rune_Crys
I just earned my most recent platinum, Ultra Hat Dimension. Unfortunately, you probably haven't heard of it because the game isn't out yet. For some reason I bought and played through it, but the PS4 won't sync my trophies because it gave me an error I found out means "This game's trophies aren't available on our servers yet, please wait until we get off our lazy butts and add this game to our collection." I was very very miffed. ? Word to the wise: If the game's trophy list isn't on PSNProfiles yet, DO NOT PLAY IT.

Popular Post Intoner_Zero
Plat #149: Everybody's Gone To The Rapture This was a long time coming, much like walking in the game, but that was due to pure laziness on my part. A good amount of players have probably experienced this walking sim through PS+, myself included. It was fine when I first played it years ago, although going back to do trophy cleanup the other day really opened my eyes on how most of the characters in this game are messy, selfish douchebags. Guess drama is needed when you live in the country, eh? While the walking mechanic garners everyone's ire, I'm not really bothered by it. I liked to take in the surroundings and catch the minute details in every region. The premise of a cosmic body taking over a populace, while not registering the damage it's doing, was very interesting and certainly unsettling. Can only image something close to that if it really happened in reality. I'd say play this if you're looking for something to slow down to. The visuals are certainly nice and the music is grand~
Popular Post StraightVege
Every Last One of Them #229 This is likely to be long-winded and full of spoilers, so maybe don't read if that's an issue. I should probably also preface this by stating that I'm a thoroughly jaded 80's guy, who'd rather be playing retro indie stuff most of the time, and is rarely impressed by modern AAA offerings. I thought the original game was just a decent entry in post-apocalyptic horror fiction; basically a more interactive Telltale's Walking Dead, but with a less interesting relationship between the father/daughter figures. Now, I usually prefer to talk about the nuts and bolts of a game, but this is obviously a story-centric series, so I'll cover that first: Spoiler I was so glad they subverted my expectations and took big risks. They could have easily played it super safe and delivered an uncontroversial, samey experience; I have to respect the ballsy choices here. Heaven forbid there ever be real consequences for a main character's actions in media—we ought to tie Neil to a bed, Misery style, and force him to write our precious Joel back in! Good grief. I actually take a more favorable view of Joel than some people, because the way I see it, the Fireflies committed the first transgression, by attempting to hastily extract Ellie's brain without her consent. Yet, I can also recognize that he was ultimately a selfish killer (not a hero), who'd participated in atrocities as a smuggler long before the events in Salt Lake City. He was always bound to have a bad end coming his way from someone he wronged. They did a great job of putting the player in Ellie's shoes, instilling an irrational thirst for revenge. At first, I wanted to take them all down too; it's so easy to dehumanize Abby and the other strangers in that room, until you see it from their perspectives, just as it's easy for Abby to dismiss every Seraphite as a crazy cultist, until she meets Lev and Yara. Unfortunately, it's human nature to minimize others when you want to feel justified and righteous in treating them like garbage. Ultimately, Abby isn't even that different from Joel: she also forges an unlikely bond with a child, and does horrific things to protect him. By the end, I definitely sympathized more with her than I ever expected to. Her half of the game features the most exciting gameplay, too, so I almost forgot Ellie existed. Honestly, the supporting characters were the stars for me: Yara, Lev, Jesse, and Owen were all decent people who deserved better than they got. From a gameplay perspective, all I really wanted were more open, non-linear areas, in the vein of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, and they certainly delivered on that. The beginning of Seattle in particular is heavy on exploration; I really feel like Naughty Dog could make a solid open world game if they chose to. The combat has been substantially improved as well, and once you get into a rhythm of hit-and-run attacks on squads of enemies, it can be extremely satisfying. This is a much more 'gamey' experience compared to the first, and that's a great thing. There's some pretty tense stealth to be had if you want it, and some truly excellent horror sections in the dark, where the game is really at its best. The AI isn't perfect, but it's usually competent at flanking you in unpredictable ways, keeping battles exciting. Spoiler There's a wonderful segment near the end of Abby's stretch, where the two human factions are warring among themselves in a burning settlement as you sneak through, and it's nearly perfect. What didn't I like? Pacing! I strongly agree with the people who found the game runs long. At least a few hours could have been cut, and the experience likely would've been better for it. There are several bland stretches of traversal and scavenging that could stand to be edited out, and too many flashbacks (how many memory lane trips to the Aquarium did we really need to see?). The entire final chapter felt a bit unnecessary, especially the Spoiler lame and inappropriate final boss, which reminded me of the terrible Talbot fist fight in Uncharted 3. I don't know if it's that developers these days think they need to meet a certain number of gameplay hours, or if they're simply too self-indulgent, but I really miss when games were digestible. The second playthrough is really dragging for me, and I almost don't want to finish it. I also had to laugh at Neil's statement that the game isn't supposed to be fun; that it's intended to make you think about the cycle of violence. Well, the problem is: it IS fun! It's loaded with fun shooter/stealth gameplay—no amount of making the enemies scream, bleed, and suffer changes that. Spec Ops The Line failed in much the same way: don't make a fun, violent game if you don't want the player to enjoy themselves. I'm watching two young and in love kids stab dozens of people in the throat, while they crack jokes and flirt between the carnage, but I'm supposed to take it with grim seriousness? Nah. Either way, TLoU2 was a pretty good revenge story, and a better game than the original in most ways. Perhaps it's not the *insert important film here* of video games, or a masterpiece 10/10, but it's definitely wholly undeserving of the intense ire its drawn from reactionary weirdos online. The story may not be what some wanted or expected, and that's okay, but they might try actually playing it before they utterly condemn it. That's high praise coming from me.
