Popular Post zizimonster
#83 Deponia Doomsday Deponia quadrilogy finally came to an end, and this is the worst entry in terms of trophy. Nonetheless, the story is quite cool as I've expected from the series while it doesn't do anything different for the whole plot despite the time-traveling shenanigans. My wrist is still in pain after obtaining the infamous 1001 Jackalopes, in which you basically have to clone pets numerous times for hours. I hope Daedalic continues this series since it is still my favorite point-and-clicker on console. #81, #82 Mark of the Ninja: Remastered I rarely platinum the same game twice when able to, unless I really realy really love the game -- and never for the sake of trophies. Over the years, I've stacked very few games twice, such as Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Tales from the Borderlands, and Mark of the Ninja Remastered is the newest one. See? Very few! This game is the ultimate definition of being a ninja. Great stealth mechanics, very atmospheric and cool from start to finish. Imagine donning the roles of Rikimaru and/or Ayame from Tenchu but in 2D. In Mark of the Ninja Remastered, you are the Marked Ninja, an unnamed ninja from Hisomu Clan marked with cursed tattoos. Your senses are enhanced, so you can do a bunch of cool tricks in the game while avenging Karajan and his fierceful armies for invading your dojo and massacring your allies. For the entire journey, you'll be accompanied by a very skilled ninja named Ora. She'll guide you, teach you to be great. To be fearsome. I urge everyone to play Mark of the ninja Remastered, especially those who are longing for a new Tenchu game, or enjoy stealth games in general. The game isn't difficult at all. I believe it is relativey easy for most players. #80 Demetrios I actually got Demetrios through a giveaway last December. While I don't think it is a bad game, I enjoyed it solely for its short platinum time. I find the game too simplistic, and the story isn't that engaging or even funny. Nonetheless, I do have to say that I chuckled a bit here and there. For a free game and a platinum trophy, I guess I can't complain much. Hehe. Popular Post StraightVege
Platinum Trophy #231 Playing this immediately after the first made me realize how difficult it would be to fully recapture the original game's magic. I finished it a couple of times when it launched on PS3, but I barely recalled anything about it, other than the fact that you play as a prototype Big Daddy, who's searching for the Little Sister he bonded with. Antagonist Sofia Lamb's voice is provided by accomplished actor, Fenella Woolgar, and she puts forth a performance to rival even Shimerman's Ryan. However, I just didn't find her to be as compelling of a villain as Ryan or Fontaine (although she's an even bigger delusional hypocrite than both of them). It's also hard to swallow that she was never mentioned in the first game, considering how powerful and influential she becomes in Rapture. I can definitely see why some people say the story feels a bit like fan fiction. There is a drastic improvement in the combat, since the player can now wield plasmids and guns simultaneously. Shooting also feels far smoother in general, and a lot more impactful. Unfortunately, I still became extremely tired of it, as there's WAY too many enemy encounters. Beyond the early areas, Splicers seemingly respawn every ten seconds, including a lot of cheap attacks from behind. The player also has to defend Little Sisters from an onrush of enemies numerous times, if they wish to gather maximum ADAM—it all grows incredibly tedious quickly, and really wears you down. It wasn't long before I developed an urge to simply sprint through the game, harvesting Sisters, and ignoring exploration, so that's how I approached my Hard difficulty run. I dealt with multiple blue screen crashes, as well, which further soured my enjoyment. The Protector Trials DLC was particularly unstable. Apparently, the PS4 Pro features patch they released a couple of months ago broke the game. Let's just say I made a habit of saving often (like every few rooms). BioShock 1 Remastered, on the other hand, didn't crash once. The Minerva's Den add-on remains quite good, though, despite also overdoing it with combat. The plight of Charles Porter is a pretty touching sci-fi mystery, and the story does a solid job of adding to the original game's lore, too. Maybe it's not as great as I remembered it, but I would still say it's among the best BioShock content, and one of the better single-player DLCs I've ever played. I believe many of the same developers later went on to create Gone Home and Tacoma, and there's even a reference to Minerva's Den in Gone Home. BioShock 2 is a perfectly decent sequel (I still think it's better than Infinite), but nowhere near as memorable or important to gaming history as the first. Speaking of Infinite, I'm not really looking forward to playing it next, since I've heard that the "Clash in the Clouds" DLC is a nightmare to 100%, and the game overall was disappointing to me the first time around. Popular Post DoctorGameGeek
#18: Secret of Mana 6th in the time of COVID Difficulty: 3 / 10 The game pretty much gives you all the tools you need to level just about anything standing in your way. Once you figure out how to wait until the meter charges to 100% before attacking, you'll find that enemies and bosses attack in very predictable ways. There were only a couple of difficulty spikes (Forest of Seasons, the Great Palace) and even fewer puzzles or navigation moments worth getting stuck. If you're having a dumb-dumb day, check the guide; it actually does a better job of telling you what to do next than most NPCs in the game. For what it's worth, the SoM remake is appropriate even for novice RPG fans. There are enough hack-and-slash and action components to keep you interested and few mechanics to obsess over. As long as you make it a habit of mowing down anything standing your way, you will do fine with this game. Enjoyment: 9 / 10 I played the original. The remake made my teenage heart squee. I remember why I liked this game so much back in the day. It wasn't all that serious. The monsters were cute. The status effects were nutty. As long as you could time your attacks and spell casts well, you could pretty much handle anything the game threw at you. I also remember taking a good, long pause before buying this game. More than one review was savage in the worst kind of way. I'll also admit; yeah, there were a few control mechanics that the original nailed down pat that didn't translate into the PS4 port. Making everything 3D showed me in the long run just how small Gaia is and how claustrophobic dungeons can get, let alone how easy it is for enemies and chests to hide in the Pure Lands. I also don't recall Flammie smiling so big after beating its drum and didn't expect to miss the aerial shot from getting launched throughout the Cannon Network. I wonder if co-op play would have gone as smoothly as me playing solo after figuring out the shortcut commands. Not even grinding for orbs brought me down. The truth is, Square-Enix preserved exactly what we needed from the original: a lighthearted tale about a girl who rescues a boy who got kicked out his village thanks to his dad telling him to pick up a rusty sword and dropped into a cauldron of Goblin Soup and then tricked by a compelling sprite to save the world and his mama the Mana Tree by proxy from certain destruction. Who cares if Primm obsesses about Dyluck? Apparently Thanatos did too and still couldn't possess the dude's body and win. Who cares that Phanna got renamed as Pah-maaaaay-lah? (Ok, I did; it sounded weird.) I still wanna know why Primm couldn't learn dark-elemental magic and Popoi the light stuff. And if I didn't hit level 97 before finishing up, I'd wish there was a hard mode to replay. Popular Post preciseRNG
#11 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered Is That All You Got? Clearly my favorite entry in the whole CoD universe. I remember playing so many hours back in the days online and offline. I had so much fun with it, also it was the prime time of console wars and a trash talking community. So many funny memories. Really sad you can't play the online nowadays because either empty lobbies or hackers. Would have loved it when they Remastered the MP as well. Would be thousand times better than the current MW. The guns feel like guns and not shooting a laser gun with no recoil.
Baranov_925
Platinum #39 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Time - 60 hours Difficulty - 3/10 A new platinum trophy from the game that helped me break the 3k trophy barrier overall. It is known that the time trial (7h spent ) caused me the most problems, but apart from that the golden "Immortal" trophy for which you have to complete each mission without dying in the middle. Dropped on a second try, this achievement tends to be glitched. Nevertheless, what captivated me in this remaster, when I last played in July 2011 is the graphics that grabbed my heart as well as "Master of Reality" by Black Sabbath. The other mechanisms remained unchanged as compared to the original from 2009. Due to the presence of this game on PSPlus, I recommend everyone to take advantage of this offer.

Popular Post ZitMeatloaf
#58 - Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom "Savior of The Lost Kingdom" Well hello there, game I had previously never heard of. I couldn't help but notice your title begins with the letter "I". That's a trait I found very attractive when I came across your existence. Why, you ask? Well you see, I got this notion that I wanted to have a complete A-Z platinum collection, with at least one platinum trophy for every letter of the alphabet. "I" was one of the letters I needed. Now I realize I certainly could have purchased a much better game - one of the more recent inFamous titles, for example - but with the times being what they are, I really wasn't too keen on spending any additional money if I didn't need to. And your time to platinum completion was about 20 hours less than any other options I had. So when I found you just sitting there available to play through PS Now, it seemed like kismet. So I played you. And you were meh. Pretty much the epitome of meh. I've certainly played worse games, but you had zero distinguishing and/or interesting features to offer. The controls and camera were... far from ideal. I meh'd my way to the platinum, and now the letter "I" has been satisfied in my quest. 5 letters to go.
Popular Post djb5f
Platinum #104: Maneater Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Difficulty 3/10 So, I largely enjoyed this game and for the most part it did not overstay its welcome. I enjoyed the open world aspects the most, just cruising around and taking in different areas and landmarks. Some of the missions were a little repetitive but harmless fun. Collectibles were well done as they appeared just swimming around the map, meaning no guide needed. Only a couple of the license plates were harder to get. The controls were a little bit of a let down. Repeatedly tapping R2 to eat seemed out of place; it would have been better mapped to a button. And for the hunting boats and some of the fights, it feels like you are just spamming a bunch of different buttons - and it works. The hardest part was the Apex Ocra fight, took a couple of tries. But for the most part, the game its easier as you progress and level up your shark. Overall, game had its charm. Verdict: Recommend

Popular Post Omar
#158 - Star Ocean: The Last Hope Remaster Platinum Trophy - Congratulations! You've collected every last trophy! Achieved: August 5th, 2020 PSNP's RS: Ultra Rare Difficulty: 10 Enjoyment: 10 I don't even know where to begin, I still cannot believe I've done it. On May 15th, I decided I was going to get into the Star Ocean series and I checked a list of entries by chronological order. Turns out Star Ocean 4 (notorious for being one of those platinum trophies that conquer you, rather than the opposite) was the first game so here I went, entirely ready to play the story and give the heck up at the slightest inconvenience. But then the game was great. And then I started to use spreadsheets and planning things carefully. And then it got really entertaining and thrilling as I could miss a playthrough-breaking chest or enemy at any given moment. By the time I finished the story, I had accomplished so much within the game's content that I simply couldn't bring myself to stop. I kept going and going and going. Now, 610 hours later, I'm here. Perhaps what surprises me the most isn't that I made it (I can be quite stubborn when it comes to reaching goals) but that I had fun THROUGHOUT. Mindless grinding? Took the chance to soak up on all sorts of podcasts on a variety of topics and I learned a lot in the process. Ethereal Queen multi-nuking my party? Let's pause and re-strategize, try something else, no full retries were ever needed. SIXTY THOUSAND ENEMY KILLS? Reading, playing mobile games, listening to music or watching my favorite movies while I press X to win an unholy amount of times. It was the way I paced myself that allowed me to get here and I now know I can manage just about any type of grind with the right plan. I'm really proud of myself for obtaining this one and it soars all the way up to the top of my list of platinum trophies I'm most proud of. Now I'm going to take a break and play some shorter stuff for the rest of the year, kay? Edited August 5, 2020 by Omar
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #537: Difficulty: 3/10 Playtime: 6 hours, 53 minutes Enjoyment: 7.5/10 So here we are at the closing chapter of the Spyro trilogy... can we sew the whole thing up in a manner deemed worthy? ...Yeah, for the most part, but unfortunately it is the weakest installment. The future of the dragons is at stake, as an evil dinosaur sorceress named... the Sorceress (think Ursula with none of the personality or BODY LANGUAGE) has kidnapped the 150 original Pokém--err, baby dragons, rather, as they fuel her foul sorcery. Chronic hero as he is, Spyro won't stand for this, and will have to travel to the Forgotten Worlds to free 'em all. All told, it's business as usual; bite-sized worlds filled with tasks and collectibles. The central conceit this time is the addition of other playable characters, each with their unique abilities that can help to rescue eggs Spyro cannot save himself. Even Sparx gets his own top-down shmup sections! Most of these provide fun gameplay changeups that don't take away too much attention from the classic Spyro gameplay. There is a slightly lessened focus on actual side quests this time around, as eggs can also be found by simply exploring the levels, a bit like saving the dragons in the original Spyro. Full circle, innit? Ultimately, it's more meaty Spyro goodness. I must admit maybe the formula had started to wear a tiny bit on me at this point, but that's mostly my own fault for playing all the games in such short order. Where the game kind of falters is in its story elements: I previously implied the Sorceress is an underwhelming villain, and I stand by that, even if she had the unfortunate luck of having to follow Ripto. But she's just symptomatic of the plot as a whole; honestly, I just don't much care for it. What little storyline progression is afforded is lavished upon the predictable face turn of a lapine Sorceress minion, and her interactions with Hunter, who I've come to like less and less for each time he appears. Resultantly, Spyro feels like a passenger in his own game. I don't demand much pretext for a platforming game plot, but poorly executed ambition is something I utterly abhor. And it's a shame too, as the NPC dialogue is some of the best in the series. But the long and short of it is, it's just not what I wanted out of a Spyro game at all. Oh, and not like it matters or anything, but I was a little disappointed with the trophy list, too. It just seems a little off that the two preceding games demand completion, whereas this does not. I obtained completion regardless (not gonna lie; probably the most satisfying one to complete) but stuff like that just irks me ? For the most part, Spyro 3 is what it's supposed to be, except when it's not. It doesn't drag the overall rating down by much, but enough to make it the clear runt of this particular dragon litter. Overall, I've had a really good time playing the Spyro trilogy, and again, I must reiterate that I'm a bit sad I didn't play the Spyro games sooner. Even with these shiny platinums added to my dragon hoard, I'll definitely be replaying them down the line (I really want those Skill Points!), but when I do, I might just give the originals a spin instead, if only for the full experience. Well, I'm all out of dragon puns!

Popular Post Bumperklever
#125 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (PS4) Just another day at the office Date Achieved: 5 August 2020Rarity: Rare (10-11%)Enjoyment: 7/10 Well, here it is, my first call of duty plat. While I am close to finishing cod black ops 1, I decided to finish up this one first. The game is good for call of duty standards. Though I was, in the call of duty way, never a fan of the modern warfare versions (more of the black ops ones). Honestly I think the story was OK. I didn't like the lots of big battles and the big baddy of the game which I didn't care enough about in the end. The only moments that I really 'liked' were 'the aftermath' and the 'ghillies missions', due to been fresh and thrilling. I did most of veteran not using the well known 'exploit' . The ones that I did use it for was ' heat' (because the infinite spamming of guys in the end was crazy, I tried way to many times to go through that). and 'No fighting in the war room' 'miles high club' Just to finish the plat quick and those are very hard. And there were some more hard missions were I didn't use the ' exploit' like 'One shot, one kill' I honestly believe that this is one of the harder veteran games and that the plat would be a lot more rare if it wasn't for that 'exploit'. Another roadblock for most people is the time trail, but I didn't had any real issues and had a lot of fun going for that. Tried it a lot of times and ended up with a ~ 14.65 not using the grenade launcher cheeze. The rest of the misc trophies are piss easy in comparison with other cod games and shouldn't provide any trouble. (as a side note, I like the name as a 125 plat milestone :D)

Gameplay and Graphics: 8/10. Music: 5/10. Platinum Time: 1 hour and 2 minutes. Today was fun and nostalgic to see Aladdin and the Lion King to PS4. It was quick and easy to plat. Though i'm not a big fan of Aladdin but I used to be liking the Lion King the most. When I was a kid I always love the Lion King cartoon movie many times, however, i've grown out of it over the years but it's still great to see them again. It made me happy like a young kid again.
