Graphics: 6/10. Platinum Time: 17 hours and 22 minutes. I enjoyed it and it was slightly better then the first sequel occurred. Again not much else to say but it went alright from beginning to the end without failing once. Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
A couple of new platinum trophies! Nos. 180 & 181! Dokuro Shining skeleton I bought this Vita game last year, since I discovered it had (actually it has) a very low price (3 €). It's a very nice platform puzzle game, with collectibles which are in plain sight, and a speedrun, so you'd better complete the level and retry again in order to cut down the time. Then, there's the (annoying) trophy "take no damage during the boss rush" (Go big or go home) but I took the shrotcut, skipping every boss until I had to deal only with the final one. Then, you have to defeat the final boss without taking damage: after some practise (1 hour) I managed to clear also this level, and I unlocked 5 trophies in a row! And finally some grinding, like deflect 100 boomerangs and kill 1.000 enemies in Hero form. A fun game, and the ending was really nice! ? Cuphead Grand uproar Probably no one expected this game on PS4. When I read it I thought that I really wanted to see how much difficult is this game. And it's not really difficult, probably because you don't need to obtain an S-rank for every boss (which you can obtain only on expert mode). Arts and animations are really amazing! But probably I had a different expectation (a game similar to Hollow Knight or Mega Man), since I found only boss battles and 6 run 'n' guns levels. And the expert mode was quite boring, since it didn't add anything new: bosses have only more HPs and attacks are faster, but nothing more. Don't get me wrong, the game is fun and astounding, some bosses are challenging, but I thought there could be something more... Anyway, a nice platinum screenshot on Inkwell II.
Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #65 - Persona 4 Golden (NA) Golden Completed - Earn all trophies 89,541 Owners - 5,730 Achievers for a percentage of 6.40% (average completion; 37.00%) Enjoyment; 10/10 Difficulty; 4/10 Trophies; 8/10 (Varied list, good names, Trophy tiles look nice but are basically screenshots) Quality of PSNP community recommendations; 5/5 After Platting Persona 4 Danging All Night in March, I asked the community on PSNP whether I should give Persona 4 Golden a go. Every single answer I got was a variation on 'Yes, you absolutely should', so I copped a cheap copy off Facebook Marketplace and gave it a go. Did I like it? I bloody loved it. Every single minute of the 100+ hours that went into the Platinum (although some of those hours were perhaps a little bit iffy due to Hardcore Risette Fan; if you recognize that name, you know my pain - although it popped quite quickly without too much hassle, honestly). My first non-spin-off Persona game, my first JRPG outwith the Pokemon series, and I genuinely had great fun with it. The Persona series oozes style, especially in the character design department, and it was brilliant spending time with the Investigation Group. I loved Yukiko and Chie, and Kanji was a terrific charatcer too. Naoto was a bit grating on her first appearances, but she came into her own once she joined the group. Teddie was a bit one-dimensional but not completely insufferable. Yosuke is one-dimensional and completely insufferable, what an assclown. Still going for all the Social Link was amazing fun and posed a great challenge - and I greatly enjoyed doing them all. Ayane was my first romance, and I didn't even touch the Nurse and Tutor Links until the second playthrough! The Trophy list is fantastic, invites you to explore most all of the worthwhile content found in the game whilst cleverly leaving the boring fetch quest sidestories out of the equation. Hardcore Risette Fan was the only troublesome pop on the list, whilst the rest came naturally - the second playthrough for One Who Has Proven Their Power and Legend of Inaba was just as much fun as the first, which really goes to show just how good this game is! I loved Persona 4 Golden so much, in fact, that I used it for two of my milestones; beating Margaret I popped to level me up to 22 while I dinged the Platinum this morning as my 4,000th Trophy - I'd say that's a beautiful milestone if I ever saw one. And the best part? The copy I got off Facebook Marketplace. It turns out it's a US copy! I was surprised to find that out when I synced it to my list for the first time, but it was a good surprise as I immediately recognized that tracking down a EU copy will be incredibly easy - meaning that I get to Platinum the game twice! I will definitely get started on that somewhere in the near future, although maybe I should put it off for a little while so I can freshly re-experience the Inaba rollercoaster. Regardless, I'm going to close this post off; if you like JRPGs, you have to play Persona 4 Golden. If you own a Vita, you have to play Persona 4 Golden. If you like video games, you probably have to play Persona 4 Golden. It's just that good, damn. First time I've rated a game's enjoyment 10/10 (although I've only been doing ratings since the start of the year); of course it's not perfect, but this is as close to 100% fun for the full runtime as any game could get, I reckon. I even felt genuine emotions at the end, which sadly weren't really alleviated by the epilogue. Very rare for that to happen. Spoilers for the end; Spoiler I wish Yu/you/the hero got to stay in Inaba, rather than return to the city. As someone who has had to say a fair few goodbyes in his time, this really resonated with me. The fact that in the epilogue Yu only comes back for a visit is just a painful reminder that things will never again be like they were during his year attending Yasogami. Popular Post Juzota
#141 - God of War (2018) Father and Son Obtain all other trophies Great game, but there was way too much collectibles, like in every other AAA game... It's just boring to collect stuff that doesn't add anything to the experience. Also the fast travel system wasn't very good in my opinion, just give me a loading screen rather than make me walk around in this mysterious place for 1000 times. These two things are pretty much everything I disliked in this game, rest was great. Story was cool and combat felt really good. Boi! Mimir is my favorite head in the gaming world. Popular Post Conor
#72- INFAMOUS 2 (PS3) inFAMOUS 2 Platinum Trophy Enjoyment: 8/10 Challenge: 4/10 Time Taken: 3 months, 4 days, 17 hours (35 hours) Rarity: 3.2% Ultra Rare (PSN) / 18.06% Rare (PSNProfiles) Hardest Trophy: Pain builds character- Finish the game on hard difficulty "I don't know if you've ever let someone down, got your ass kicked or straight up failed, but those are the moments that define us. They push you further than you've ever thought possible, and force you to make choices... no matter what the cost." Since starting Ghost of Tsushima, I decided to back up a bit and take a look at some of Sucker Punch's back catalog as I haven't been following their PlayStation-exclusive stuff for a long time. I was already familiar with the Sly Cooper trilogy on PS2, but because of that and the fact that the remasters are done by another company, I decided to look into the inFAMOUS series. I enjoyed the first game, dated and janky as it was, and I was glad to see that the sequel improved some things. But there are still problems, most of which carried forward from the first game. I loved the new setting, at least to begin with. Overall, the game is a graphical step above the original, and the first area of New Marais is a far cry from the grey, dreary Empire City. Glad they decided to abandon the washed-out colours of the previous game and went for a brighter aesthetic, really bringing out the vibrancy of the New Orleans-inspired city. There was plenty to do, including solving a small variety of crimes or doing some nasty deeds to the poor citizens of New Marais. The first group of antagonists, the Militia, are less annoying and intrusive than the enemies of Empire City- it was great to be able to roam the streets without being randomly nailed in the head by some asshat up on a roof three blocks away. However, the second set of antagonists really brought me back to the original, and not in a good way. The ice soldiers were very annoying, jumping about, dashing around and right up in your face with shotguns. The Ice Titans were the most annoying of all, with side mission after side mission involving them. The swamp monsters were fine, except the Hive Lords/ Ravagers always digging around just as you chuck a grenade at them. The story was interesting enough at first, and overall the narrative and world have a very strongly political undertone- right-wing militias (which many characters openly call "fascists"), fear of different people, presidential impeachment, attitudes towards women both positive and negative and even the area of Flood Town representing the state of the real city following Hurricane Katrina and the Bush Administration's botched response to the crisis (and yet nobody ever bitched about it back then, compared to all those who nowadays cry about "politiks in muh gayms", I wonder why that is?). It was very satisfying to lay the smackdown on those far-right nutjobs, plus it made the story a lot more interesting, so I say yay to more of that. However, I didn't like how plot points from the previous game were just disregarded entirely for this one (Sasha, Alden and Moya) and instead they were resolved in an interquel comic series... I hate when developers do that, reminds me of the botched job that was done on Crysis. I did like the new characters of Lucy Kuo and Nix, two deadly, beautiful Conduits who form the basis and symbolism of your moral choices throughout the game, although they pull a bait-and-switch at the end which sort of invalidates the reasoning behind your choices throughout. A little more variety in side activities would have been nice, but the powers were a big improvement, with a far greater difference between Good Karma powers and Bad Karma. It was fun to experiment with them and the quick-swap feature is much appreciated. I liked how completing a side mission didn't pause the action just to show the area cleared, instead being shown in a cutaway segment of the screen while you kept playing, really helping the gameplay flow better However, the Flood Town area, combined with the ice soldiers really messed up the game for about a third of the runtime; I just did not enjoy it very much, then the gasworks area wasn't a big enough improvement to bring things back to the quality of the first area. The endings were also sort of lame, neither really feeling like a proper payoff for all that you were doing. The User Generated Content missions were an interesting touch- and they were what I tackled first because I saw some people were having trouble with the servers, but I got it all done no problem- though trawling through like a hundred of them post-game to grind XP for a final powerup wasn't much fun. It may seem like I'm bitching or nitpicking a lot which I don't intend because I actually really enjoyed this game a lot overall. It does have the best cutscene in any game, ever. Popular Post Ala-Arska
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Don't Ruin The Moment Collect all the Trophies "I Swear! I Did It By Mistake!" Oh, Chloe, you're so fine. You're so fine you blow my car, hey Chloe. So, an Uncharted title without Nathan Fillion Drake (or Sully!). But(t) with Chloe and um, Nadine? This plays pretty much like U4, rope swings and car chases 'n all. Follow the damn train, Chloe Speaking of trains...that sequence was a straight rip-off from Uncharted 2, along with the escape-from-sort-of-tank. Both good thrill rides, for sure, but I would have liked to see something different this time. Examples, I have none. As characters, Chloe is great and Nadine is okay too. She should smile more and be adventurous, why so seri...grim It has always bothered me, though..in every Uncharted game the dialogue seems to be...off at times. Like, characters would say their lines with pauses in odd places, and they often say them incoherently and quietly Gameplay wise, having a side kick in The Lost Legacy means having an anger fit every 5 minutes. Nadine is useless as f**k. She blocks my sights in firefights. She steals my cover in firefights. She has Storm Trooper aim in firefights. She rarely helps in puzzles. She lets me do all the work. She's in my way when walking. She's in my way when running. She's in my way when climbing. She's IN MY WAY when jumping to a grab point, which leads me to a horrible, horrible death. She doesn't provide me with Salts and ammo from another dimension. She can't die, though. I've shot her with pistol, rifle, shotgun and RPG. I've grenade'd and C4'd her ass. Nothing. She's immortal But as a person, I'm sure Nadine's nice when you get to know her. I also would've liked to play with her. As her. As. Like all games in the history of gaming, TLL has its ups and downs. But, a fun worth having. Popular Post Phantochi
#200 - Red dead redemption 2 What a ride, according to Social Club it took me 279h to finish this one up, 67h on multiplayer and 212h on the Single Player, even though this is 3/10 in terms of difficulty, you definetely need to love this game in order to put over 200h in it. This is not a game for everyone, as you really need to slow down the pace and really soak everythin in. Those who blaze through it will miss a whole lot. Only thing i don't like in this game is the bounty system. The law will basically always side against you in confrontation and it seems pretty unfair at times. If you haven't tried this game yet, do it now, and get ready for one of the best gaming experiences ever

Popular Post Viper
#197 BioShock 2 - Remastered Platinum Trophy So the original BS2 was my first foray into the BioShock world when we got it on PS+ back in like 2012, then turned around and played Infinite when they also was put on PS+. Bought the first game to play and just...never did. So buying the Remasters was meant for me to take a REAL dive into this series...front to back. Which is good because playing THIS game now...outside of knowing we play as a Big Daddy in this game, I remembered absolutely nothing about it....not characters, not story beats or Rapture settings...nothing. So it was almost like a whole fresh experience again.Honestly, I don't understand the hate this game gets. It's not better than the first one...not even close. But this was still a solid BioShock experience. Maybe the lack of online helps? I still have the DLC to play, and will get to Infinite eventually. At this point though, I'd call myself a BioShock fan and am ready to see what BioShock 4 brings us.
Popular Post Zach
#171 Ghost of Tshushima Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 40hrs Anyone who knows me, knows Sly Cooper is my favorite video game series of all time. Being this is Sucker Punch, the creators of Sly Cooper, I went into this game with high hopes. I was not disappointed. This is easily my game of the year so far. Easily in my top 5 PS4 exclusives of all time as well. Playing as a samurai was beyond fun. The game is beautiful, and the story is amazing. There are so many skills to learn in the skill tree to keep the gameplay fresh and exciting. I played on Medium. I felt like that was perfect balance of some difficulty, but still enjoyable to play. Honestly, I enjoyed all 40 hours i played as Jin, and would love if this game got an expansion of some sort. I may even try the Lethal difficulty they added just to experience this game again. Do not miss the opportunity to what I call a damn near masterpiece of a game.
Popular Post Darghel
#81 The Dark Soul (Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin) Difficulty: can be very frustrating at times. Time to Complete: about 80 hours (80:46 was my time) Recommended: Uhhh...trophies aren't the problem to be honest. Total Score: 7/10 So, after playing DS1, I had intentions to play this one despite hearing all the negativity surrounding but i also wanted to play this one because I really liked DS1 and I even if I knew this game wasn't going to be like the first one it HAD to do something good, right? Well...kinda: for every step forward it would also make two-step backwards, and in the end all I can say about DS2 is that "it's decent, but not great". One of the biggest problems I noticed with this game is its inconsistency in everything: some parts were REALLY good, like Eleum Loyce or Iron Keep, Shulva and Brume Tower, but then it had some legitimately awful places that really begs the question as to why it exists (Gutter, Black Gulk, Harvest Valley, Shaded Woods, Shrine of Amana, etc) and those were the times I legitimately disliked the game a lot: these places weren't challenging but just frustrating and I must've died a lot because of how inconsistent the game felt. I think this is the keyword for this game: Inconsistency. Bosses can be either good (Fume Knight, Lost Sinner, Sir Alonne), really bad (Covetous Demon, The Rotten, Royal Rat Vanguard) or just Meh (too many to count) and in the end I really can't say I enjoyed the boss fights or not. Levelling is also very inconsistent: you have more stats but they only compensate older status, like how vitality is now used for your total carry weight instead of being tied to Endurance or how Agility is required in order to have optimal dodging ability - and even then hitboxes are so fucked again it's not uncommon to get hit when i'm not even close to them (Najka, in particular, got me too many times even when not in front of her). And the amounts of red phantoms invading you this time was WAAAAAY too high and I lost count of how many forlorns I have killed, plus they always appear in the worst possible moment ever (and in ng+ there are some red phantoms in really bad places). Also the amount of enemies...dear lord the enemies in this game are too many! Iron Keep was one of the worst about this: I had to wait at least 10 minutes to get every enemy out because there were just too many following me, especially in ng+! This game feels like a checklist: they took DS1, they tried to see how to make the game harder, and then said "do more of the same!" so they made more bosses, more enemies, more stats to track, more places to go that aren't all good, more covenants, more, more, MORE! They basically went with quantity over quality and it really shows, because there's a lot but not everything is just as good. Overall, if I had to compare this game to DS1, it's definitely not as good and I could see the people saying why it's bad...HOWEVER, as a game on itself, I think it's fine and the trophies aren't even all that difficult either (infact I find these much easier than ds1, even if I had to do ng+ and ng++). The hard part is actually getting into the game and trying to enjoy it, as there's just so much to handle it's frustrating. Bottom line, I enjoyed it, but not as much as DS1. Hoping DS3 will be better. I'm surely not going to play this again in a while!

It was pretty interesting to play this for the most part - Single Player Missions & DLC - and a few of the other miscellaneous stuff, after that some of the optional's became repetitive and kinda boring to do like Fixer Contracts especially. Not a lot of variety. Here's hoping Watch Dogs 2 will have something more to offer than that ;p
