Popular Post Yoey_666
#373 - Medievil Played this game cause I loved it as a child on PS1. Game was okay, guess they should‘ve tweaked some more things in the remake to make the experience better than in the originsl game (camera f.e.). Overall not the best remake, but okay.

Popular Post Jelly Soup
#125 - Rime That was...long. Pretty game, simple puzzles, what music there is I liked. The game is just really slow about everything and all the maps are very maze-like. You're gonna need a walkthrough witht this one. Slight recommend, if you like games of this type.

Popular Post jorgecarpio91
Platinum #44- Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair I genuinely thought I would never get this trophy, I was only missing beating the impossible lair. But then I realize that nearly 30 percent in Psn Profiles had the platinum, and I didn't understand why since the impossible lair was hard AF. So I decided I was going to give a try and to my surprise THEY ADDED CHECKPOINTS, making the platinum way way way way waaaaaaaaay easier. You are now able to start a phase with the highest amount of bees you managed to enter, and there is even a final checkpoint in the final boss that I managed to enter with 8 bees, enough to beat the impossible lair. If anyone is missing this trophy I highly recommend giving the impossible lair a try, since now that it has checkpoints is more doable. That being said, I really enjoyed this game, for me, 2D Yooka-Laylee was a better game than the 3D game. Guest
Until Dawn Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 1/10 Absolutely one of my favorite PS4 games. I love horror movies, and this one takes all of the stereotypes of a classic horror/slasher movie (teenagers in the wilderness, scary monsters, jump scares, the black guy/the jock/the preppy bitch/the horny couple/etc) and dialed it up to 11 to create such a god damn enjoyable game. A majority of choices actually matter and the collectibles are actually fun to collect; and brilliantly they actually matter to the story. The fact that anybody can die is thrilling, and the 'don't move' mechanic is absolutely brilliant. The story is incredibly interesting and full of twists and reveals and the gameplay is simple enough where anyone can play it but it's still fun for people who are more experienced. The game also looks pretty great for the most part, along with the trophies being pretty straightforward. I'll never be able to praise this game enough. I adore it so much. Popular Post Dr_Mayus
Plat 300 - My Name is Mayo - PS4 WOW, this was a challenge. I mean I have platted this once before so at least I had an idea of what I was getting in to but nothing can prepare you for clicking a jar of mayo over and over again. I was nearing 4000 clicks and thought "am I a hardcore enough gamer to actually keep going?" When I hit 6000 I almost gave up, I could live with 299 platinums if it meant not having to click anymore. 8000 was me getting my second wind. I knew I couldn't stop because there was only one more milestone to go before the plat. When I hit 9999 clicks my fingers were trembling, sweat was cascading down my brow and then it happened...I had moved beyond the abilities of a normal man. I honestly don't even remember the 10,000th click...I had already ascended to pantheon of the gods and was looking down on all I had done and realized the answer to all problems. Are we not all jars of mayo just waiting to be clicked? Then it happened...DING...

Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #65 - Ys: Memories of Celceta Difficulty Rating 4/10 Enjoyment Rating 8/10 Very Rare - 8.58% Falcom are one of very few developers that can still bring a smile to my face. They take me to fantastical worlds with colorful characters and always manage to provide an escape from the harsh realm that is reality. That being said, Ys remains as one of my favorite game franchises.. and for very good reasons. Pure, unadulterated adventure to sink my teeth into. My love for Ys is only matched by my love for DOOM, Zelda, Metroid and Castlevania. This game, Ys: Memories of Celceta is a remake of Ys IV where Adol Christin ends up in the land of Celceta with a case of amnesia and must retrace his steps and gather clues to why he is there in the first place. It replaces the TurboGrafx-16 and Super Nintendo versions in terms of what is considered canon. This remake was released on Vita back in 2013, only now us folks outside of Japan are getting to experience it on PS4. While I don’t think it’s as wondrous or magical as Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA, it’s still a spectacular journey in its own right ^^ A few things that keeps it from being perfect is the lack of voice acting. This game has tons of dialogue, but hardly any voices to break the monotony or help flesh out the characters a bit better. You would think a game from 2013 getting a recently released upgrade would have some more voices. Also, keeping track of your treasure chests is a major pain. Unless you once walked close by it, there is no way it’s going to appear on your map. There are quite a few commonly missed treasure chests, but if you have them already and still are missing others.. prepare for pain. You’ll have to search the game world and its dungeons to uncover the missing ones. There is also the matter of filling the entire overworld map. While it may look filled, your percentage is bound to say like 99.2% and that’s when you’ll be running along all of the world’s edges and corners to try and make the trophy pop. I had to run in an area that was already well filled in order to get it to register. Be prepared to deal with those kinds of problems. Be observant! That is the best I can give you ? I would recommend two playthroughs, cause you can’t get all items in one. This comes in the form of the ultimate weapon quests and you can only do three per playthrough, and there are six party members that each need their weapon for the trophy. By only doing New Game Plus can you get all six. Also, you’ll want to play on Normal difficulty first to max out your character levels and get pretty beefed up and decked out for the Nightmare difficulty run ahead of you. It’s possible you can play on Easy instead to rake in more money, but I stuck to Normal myself. Most people wouldn’t take this route, but I farmed materials for a couple days to make Adol’s permanent stats go way, way up so he would blaze straight through Nightmare difficulty ? The gameplay is frantic, fast and addictive. There is a reason why it’s a series well received by fans of action RPGs. You can’t go wrong with the Ys series if you like your RPGs more fast and reflex based ?

Popular Post erickt123
#63 - Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves (PS3) The end of the Sly Cooper PS2 trilogy, and a good end in terms of story, but for gameplay, well I ended up with mixed feelings. The first four episodes I really enjoyed for the most part. The first four episodes of Sly 3 really showed the improvements in Sly 3's presentation compared to Sly 2. Instead of some villains having two episodes that share a similar theme or visuals, each episode has their own villains in unique locations so you don't feel like Sly 3 is trying to put a ton of padding to itself. After the prologue, the first episode takes place in Venice, a city in Italy, and the first thing you'll notice is that Sly 3 is brighter and more colorful than Sly 2. Even in the game's dark areas or night time settings, it's never too dark to see. Now sure, the PS3 HD collection made Sly 1 and 2 easier to see by not making the games almost pitch black like they were on the PS2 and all games support 3D as well. Either way, Sly 3 looks great and seeing it in HD on a big TV is really nice. Also, the time of day changes as you progress through the episodes, so at the start of the Venice episode, it'll be night time but as you reach the end of the episode it becomes day light. This really helps make it feel like these missions are done in a span of time instead of getting the feeling that the night never ends until the Cooper Gang finished their operation. Gameplay saw improvements from Sly 2, flashlight guards actually use their melee attacks and give you some time to attack or escape to avoid taking damage, the rooftop guards would actually try to dodge your attacks or block them too so combat is definitely refined here and less stale. Flashlight guards also don't flinch or get knocked back every time you hit them so this gives you a chance to land a few more hits instead of taking a cheap gun shot immediately after you hit them. Bentley is way more fun to play, he can do things like jumping multiple times and actually placing a bomb on an enemy's pocket, so you don't have to use the sleep darts every single time. Murray can turn into a ball to reach great heights and by default he can run and jump while carrying things, it's not necessary to buy a power-up to do that anymore. Murray and Bentley can also pickpocket too, so you don't have to worry about only playing as Sly if you want to get a lot of coins early on for power-ups. You also get coins for pickpocketing loot right away, no need to return to the Safehouse just to sell them, since well most people were gonna sell them anyways. Sly 3 has more useful power-ups this time around, like being able to do several powerful attacks as Sly when pressing Triangle and not needing to save a slot to use it. For the abilities you use a slot with, there's less redundant power-ups for the Cooper Gang so overall, it really feels like Sucker Punch removed the fluff and tried to make Sly's friends be as fun to play as well, you know Sly Cooper. You can even replay missions, which confuses me as to why Sly 2 didn't have it in the first place, even in the HD collection. Surely it wouldn't be that difficult to implement a menu to replay missions, right? Despite the added content and more focus on actual platforming and stealth, Sly 3 suffers from a lot of unwanted variety. Sly 3 has a lot more variety than Sly 2 with its missions, and initially that seems good since Sly 2 suffered from repetition when you do recon photo and pickpocket missions every single episode. However, the added variety isn't much better for me, which is made worse by the fact that some missions for Murray and Bentley are done by another character that isn't the main trio. Why bother giving new abilities and better gameplay for Murray and Bentley if we're gonna play as the others with gimmicky and boring gameplay styles? Penelope and Dimitri are the worst in this case, Penelope has bad remote control missions and Dimitri has underwater missions that are just dull. Why can't we play as the main trio and play with their power-ups more often? Heck, it doesn't seem like you play Murray at all in the second half of the game unless it's some new unwanted gimmick. I also don't like the last two episodes, a small pointless hub world with an unwanted pirate ship segment in the 5th episode, and a rushed 6th episode for a finale. I like the story, but the core gameplay doesn't get the attention it deserves near the end since Sly 3 falls a bit into the trap that Sly 2 went into. Only instead of repeating the same missions over and over again, you play new and unfulfilling missions. Sly 3 is not a bad game, and I do enjoy all three games for the most part. After having replayed the original trilogy however, I wished Sucker Punch had focused more on the platforming for the sequels since the platforming levels in Sly 1 were really enjoyable. Sure, not all vehicle segments or new gameplay styles were bad, but honestly, I think it's clear that Sly shines the best when you are not doing any of that added fluff. I should mention, I done the Sly Minigames in the PS3 collection and it's a total time waster. You play them once for quick trophies and forget about them because you can finish it all in less than 10 minutes. If you really want finish up your Sly Cooper trophy collection, well you can play the Sly Collection on PS Now since it is the physical release of the collection so the Sly Minigames are included. Still a waste of time to play them really. Edited August 26, 2020 by erickt123
Popular Post preciseRNG
#17 Wreckfest Master of Crashes One of my first favourite games back in PSx era was Destruction Derby! I kind of missed the entry of Wreckfest when it came out, but all of a sudden I saw it and had to get it. And man there were some oldschool vibes for me when just going crazy with your cars, crashing, having fun an listening to awesome rock/metal tunes! This game is lots and lots and lots of fun. I kind of missed a little introduction to the game modes, nor is the career mode anything but doing funny stuff and getting points, not more not less. But it works well! Trophy wise I began with the 20 MP wins to get this done asap. THANKS a lot for helping me boost this in no time @Girth1982 The platinum snap fits perfect to the trophy name ?
Popular Post FluffyAssassin64
#129 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered "Is That All You Got?" Earn all available trophies for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered Just realised that - despite the whole lockdown thing - this is the first platinum I've earned since March... crazy stuff haha. Anyway, you know what CoD MW2 is! I don't have to explain it to you. If you were playing games in 2009, you've already had the opportunity to experience this amazing - but short - action adventure movie... uh, I mean game! Though some (many) may lament the lack of the MP inclusion in this release, the campaign is - I believe - universally seen as one of the best in CoD history. It's got some incredibly controversial moments, and some that came as a shock to gamers everywhere. Shooting is solid, through somewhat dated by today's standards, and the storyline, sound design and music are as dope as ever. This is still certainly a CoD game, with all its inherent engine-specific issues, but I do think the visual upgrade they've achieved here is quite impressive. I played on my 4K HDR TV, and some levels in particular look great. It's no Flight Simulator, but I was pleasantly surprised! Trophies are fine if you've ever played a CoD game before. I remember MW2 Veteran being brutally hard back in the day, and it seems they've toned it down a bit here. That said, the tried-and-true strategy of taking it 'slow and steady' on Vet still works a treat. You can also skip several sections entirely by sprinting through to the next checkpoint haha. No other trophies gave me any trouble. If you haven't already, download this for free this month on PS+ (it's free in EU/AU at least, not sure about NA) and have a blast. It's not earth-shattering by today's standards, but especially if you grew up playing these early CoD games with mates, you'll enjoy this Remaster. If only they'd included the Spec Ops missions too... Game rating: 8.5/10 Plat difficulty: 3/10

Popular Post starcrunch061
Not quite my most recent plat, but... Plat #402: Kotodama: Bunch of Words KOTODAMA Collected every trophy (one slight spoiler will follow) Hoo boy. Where do I begin. Well, how about this: Kotodama is one of the worst games I've ever played. What a terrible mess this is. If Control had an identity crisis, Kotodama is harboring three different personalities, and every one is utterly unlikable. The game would like you to believe it's a fan service visual novel with match 3 puzzle mechanics. If only any of those actually worked. Let's begin with fan service, the strongest (or, better, the least weakest) component of the game. You'll see 5 buxom high school girls (all 18 years of age, of course), one strange angel-like creature, and one muscular athlete (no sexism here), all in various stages of undress. In order to strip them down, you have to play the match 3 puzzle game; we'll get to that. You can unlock 4 different underwears for the girls and athlete (you only encounter the angel in one place, so you get her one set of underwear). The underwear looks like one of those removable sticker sets that little kids often play with. It's not ugly, per se. It's just not very well done. While there is a gallery, none of the underwear shots make it there (you do get a single image of the girls in bathing suits, and a single image of the guys as well). As far as fan service, that's it. This might be better if there was any synergy with the rest of the game, but alas, no luck. We'll get to that. But even if we take it by itself, it's pretty lame. In order to undress our ladies (and dude), we play a match 3 puzzle game. I'm no connoisseur of match 3 puzzles, though I've played my fair share. This is the worst I've personally ever played. It's simple enough - match 3 vertically, or horizontally, and they disappear. Any subsequent matches will build a combo. You have a limited number of turns to win (which means to undress your girl). It's RNG dependent, but not really that hard. There are no time limits for moves whatsoever. The game will even suggest moves to you. While their moves are not always the optimal one, you can usually use any hints to find a better move. And if you start running low on moves, you can issue a "challenge", which means you use various objects to tickle your girl/dude. Succeed, and you can recover one or more moves. Fail, and something bad happens. The recovery of one move has a 90% probability, and it's rare you need more than that. Long story short, you should breeze through most puzzles, and even the most challenging ones (such as the last one) can be beaten through brute force. The main problem here is that the tiles you match with are completely random. You cannot see the row which will drop from off screen. That's fine, once you realize that horizontal rows are SIGNIFICANTLY better than vertical ones, but it's still annoying. I found the puzzles completely devoid of fun. Oh, and by the way, for the tickle challenges, the game shows a bit of censorship: there will be no ticking of boobies or nethers in this game. Instead, 2 giant "CHALLENGE!" bars appear over them. This might lead you to believe that tickling different body parts (the body is divided into head, torso and legs) might have different effects. Nope. Tickle legs, and you get the same image as if you tickle, e.g., a face. Lame. This takes us to the VN. By far, this is the worst aspect of the game. The storytelling in this VN is the worst I've ever seen. You begin by learning that you are transferring into a new school. You meet your new teacher as well as a fellow student. And oh yeah - you have a contract with a demon. Why? Reasons, apparently. Early on, you're told that your new school has 7 unsolved mysteries, ranging from a curse from a student to a principal who is never seen. Amazingly, you express disbelief at these rumors; after all, who could believe that a principal keeps a low profile? Clearly, A CONTRACT WITH A DEMON IS MUCH MORE PLAUSIBLE. The game then has you solving these mysteries. There are a couple of shocks here and there, and then, like all VNs, the rug is pulled from under you. For reasons, you are pulled into a time loop, and must keep yourself alive to solve the greatest mystery of all: what happened to an old student named Mikoto? And then...you do the same stuff. Solve the 7 mysteries. If you solve them in a certain way (i.e. by making certain opaque choices), you get the true ending. If not, you are put back to the beginning of the game. Some choices get you killed. These choices can be as mundane as whether you join a school club now, or go to lunch first. Again. And again. And again. You keep starting over. There is no chapter select here. You can scum saves before choices, but be aware that the game often crashes when you do. And when you finally get the true ending, it is one of the most WTF "endings" you've ever seen. Honestly, one of the good endings was significantly better, tying up loose ends far more cleanly. Oh, and with regards to choices? You just go down a laundry list of locations. There is little rhyme or reason to which location you should pick when (I have heard that the in-game Twitter, called Quacker, gives you hints in this regard, but if so, these hints are remarkably subtle). Most of the time, you should just choose locations from top to bottom (although there are exceptions, which make as little sense as the game). As you talk to people, you'll collect words and phrases. These words and phrases might look like clues, but ultimately, they're just put into a word book, which powers up your puzzle prowess. But what really sinks this game is the fact that somehow, the sum of all these turds is far LESS than the parts. Let's take the VN coupled with the fan service. At one point (and here's the spoiler), you meet a girl who tortures a stray dog. I mean, she beats this dog until its bloody. Why does she do this? Well, LET'S STRIP HER AND SEE! I mean, nothing makes me more attracted to a girl than sadism towards animals! Who thought this was a good idea? (Incidentally, once you strip her and get her explanation, it never really comes up again. You tell no one who did this, or why, and outside of a single mention later on, no one seems to care after the first chapter.) Here's another issue: so, you're fantasizing about classmates in their underwear. You might think this would get a mention in the VN part of the game. Nope. Not once. At no point does your character ever show a hint of attraction towards the people he (or she - you can play as a girl, I think) is undressing. Outside of the first tutorial, it never comes up again. Know what I think? I think this game was meant to be a detective game, where you would hear words from particular students, and use those words in other conversations to bring out info. Maybe you would screw up, and have to start over, but you'd keep the words in place, allowing you to make real progress over time. But the devs got lazy, or were just stupid, and instead, threw in a terrible match 3 game. Blah. Blah. Blah. The final verdict is: this sucks. There are better VNs (much better). There are better puzzle games (much better). There's better fan service. Go elsewhere. Even for $3, this game is a complete piece of trash.
