Popular Post AJ_Radio
Bit of a long post, got lazy in posting recent platinums so bear with me. Platinum #244: Amnesia: Memories (July 27th, 2020) Difficulty: 2/10 Excitement Rating: 2/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 8 - 10+ Hours Hardest Trophy: Complete garbage. You are some little girl who lost her memory. There are several paths you can take, each in having a different boyfriend. Endings depend on the dialogue choices. Some end with the girl and boyfriend living heavily ever after. Some end with a difference of opinion, and go their separate ways. Some end in tragic death, with one particular ending having the girl locked in a cage indefinitely. If I can't seem to recall this game too well, then that is good, because this game was fucking atrocious. Playing the entire game from start to finish would of taken 25 - 30 hours. A visual novel no doubt, where there is very little in terms of actual gameplay and reading a story. Now, I can read textbook long stories and novels that are a bit complicated, but the lore, the setting and the characters HAVE to be interesting. Amnesia: Memories has none of that, it's just a boring game I got for free on PS Plus back in September 2016. Yes, four entire years ago. Don't ask me why I only just got around to playing a couple months ago. Boring, tedious, and I literally feel asleep playing this. Not many people play the PS Vita anymore, so at least not too many people will get to witness this borefest. Platinum #245: Code: Realize - Guardian of Rebirth (July 29th, 2020) Difficulty: 2/10 Excitement Rating: 4/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 6 - 8 Hours Hardest Trophy: A far better visual novel than Amnesia: Memories, but still boring and dull. This time around I actually got to remember some of the characters. Lupin has the ability to vanish and reappear. Van Helsing wields a pair of guns. Other characters showed a bit more humor than the characters in Amnesia. This game is part of a series, but as far as I know this is the only game to have been offered on PS Plus. I don't remember when exactly it was put on for free, but it doesn't matter. Like Amnesia: Memories, this is a visual novel where you basically watch a story unfold. This game actually shows some action that is more akin to Dragonball Z and other famous anime. However by the end of my first playthrough I was just bored to death, even if the music was quite alright and the theme far more interesting. Very little gameplay doesn't give me a reason to be excited. Another game I got for free from PS Plus, if I paid a dollar for this game I would of been upset. There are some Code: Realize fans on this forum website I'm sure, but I am sorry. I just can't get into these types of games. Platinum #246: MLB 15 the Show (August 5th, 2020) Difficulty: 5/10 Excitement Rating: 7/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 10 - 15 Hours Hardest Trophy: Nope ( Successfully rob a home run. User cannot switch sides during game. ) Someone may be thinking 'a baseball game'? An older baseball game on the PS Vita? This game I would consider to be rare. There is probably no copy of the game in any retail store today, and PS Store likely took it off a few years ago. So I basically had to fish for a copy of this game on eBay, which was expensive. I caved in and bought the game..... and took a risk because there is no actual physical copy of the game for the PS Vita. You get a voucher code, and the code according to Sony expired in 2017. I entered the code on the PS Store, thinking it was expired and I just wasted a bunch of money. But alas, the code worked and I managed to install the game on the Vita. Because of space and lower specs, the Vita version of MLB 15 the Show is vastly inferior to the PS4 version. However that version has online trophies, and the online was shut down back in 2017. So I had no choice but to stick with the Vita. In terms of how the game plays, it's basically sports and baseball. Anybody who has a few Madden platinum trophies probably knows they have to adjust sliders to get certain trophies. I had to adjust sliders for Sorry Kid and Nope. Many of the trophies practically hinge on luck. I ended up spending a lot of hours trying to obtain Nope, but got extremely lucky and managed to grab the trophy at one of the minor league parks. MLB the Show is basically the crown jewel when it comes to baseball games on Sony consoles. While they aren't necessarily fantastic games, they are the best and most enjoyable to play if you are a baseball fan. Platinum #247: MLB the Show 18 (August 11th, 2020) Difficulty: 4/10 Excitement Rating: 7.5/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 15 - 20+ Hours Hardest Trophy: I'm Not Gonna Cry ( In Road To The Show, get called up to the MLB® while in the managers office. ) Spoiler A more modern looking baseball game with far better graphics and a lot more to do. I bought this game when it was fairly new, but never quite got around to it until last month. As far as the games on the main consoles (PS3 & PS4) are concerned, MLB the Show 18 is perhaps the easiest in the entire series. Nothing is too grindy, many of the trophies you get playing the game are far easier to obtain, and nothing is too aggravating. The trophy list focuses less on dumb luck and more on getting stuff like hitting a triple. Only the trophy for hitting the cycle in one game took a few tries. That being said, you have to go along with Road to the Show. This is basically a mode where you bring up a young star straight out of high school/college into the draft. You start in AA baseball and work your way up through AAA and hopefully the majors. I'm not going to talk about the general trophies because they're obvious enough. But getting the trophies for earning your first win as a MLB pitcher in Road to the Show and getting called up to the MLB while in the managers office took more time than practically the other trophies combined. I basically experimented with a starting pitcher, a first baseman, a closing pitcher and an outfielder. My starting pitcher eventually got to the Majors after five or six seasons of minor league ball, but I was called during the offseason which does not get the trophy for being called up. I did get a win in the Majors so it was the other trophy that gave me trouble. I had to get a player starting a season with a AAA ballteam, and starting in AAA isn't exactly easy as I often got called back down to AA or got called up to the Majors. You HAVE to be called up to the Majors while the season is still in play. I spent over a hour simulating games but the computer always had poor stats for my player. I ended up going with my first baseman and playing every single game from the beginning of April leading up to the All Star Game in July, which was a good 60 - 80 games. My player from time to time got benched. But if you guys thought you had to watch every single inning of a ballgame, don't fret. Road to the Show only covers when your player is up to bat, when he is on the base paths, and when he is on defense. If you are a relief pitcher, then the game is fast forwarded to the point where your player is pitching against the opposing team. The computer AI controls everything else. If your player gets pulled for a substitute player, then the game is over and the scores are decided. So on and so forth. Spent several hours on just the one trophy, but it was worth it. Not much to say other than it's baseball. Thankfully I didn't have to adjust sliders as much as opposed to MLB 15 the Show. I'm likely going to pick up MLB the Show 20, but not until it gets a price decrease. Platinum #248: XBlaze Lost: Memories (August 19th, 2020) Difficulty Rating: 1/10 Excitement Rating: 1/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 6 - 8 Hours Hardest Trophy: Complete garbage and a giant waste of my time. I literally had no idea what the fuck was going on. I basically saw two girls going through some process in... getting memory fragments? Too many cutscenes, too much dialogue, so much waiting around. One of the worst games I have ever done for trophies, only Orc Slayer is worse. This is the last time I will pick up a game purely because it is seemingly easy and free from PS Plus. I don't like visual novels. Just played this game (if you can even call it a game) and deleted it as soon as I got the platinum trophy. Sometimes I don't understand Japanese stories at all. Platinum #249: Tekken Tag Tournament HD (September 5th, 2020) Difficulty Rating: 4/10 Excitement Rating: 7/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 7 - 10 Hours Hardest Trophy: Eternal Champion ( Clear Arcade on the hardest difficulty. ) Three Tekken games done, and I am still not familiar with most of the characters. This is the oldest Tekken game with trophy support. As with Tekken 7, I am not too familiar with much of the Tekken universe like I am for Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. However I saw fit to get another Tekken game since I did enjoy Tekken 7. Not counting the older feel and gameplay, Tekken Tag Tournament HD pretty much plays like most of the other games in the series. What helps set this one apart is the Tag feature. Two fighters play against a fighter or two other fighters. Basically it works like wrestling, one fighter fights while the other is in the background (assuming they are). It's to be expected, as this is pretty much the selling point of the game. What I wasn't too happy with is this game, much like the old fighting games from times past, has rather cheap AI. The AI has a tendency to predict your every move, and this is most apparent playing Arcade on the hardest difficulty. Now, I'm not particularly good at fighters and they're not exactly my style, but even an experienced player can probably see the AI in this game is a bit far on the cheap side. Thankfully you can cheese your way to this platinum, as Paul and a few other characters have moves that basically halve a full life bar off their opponents. This means that a few attacks plus their move basically guarantees an easy victory if you time everything right. Fighting veterans may look down at this, but as an inexperienced player I felt it was necessary to really get anywhere. Survival was a little tough but nothing too bad. Scoring 200 points in bowling is a good example on why minigames shouldn't always get trophies, as they usually have no relation to the core gameplay. Not much to cover. It's Tekken, it's a long time fighting franchise that many of us heard about at one point or another. Fairly easy platinum, but can be a bit tough for newcomers, such as myself. Popular Post WayfarerFox
Dead Island: Definitive Edition #187 The Whole World Went Away Time to Platinum: 40 hours | Difficulty: 5/10 | Enjoyment: 8/10 Overview Set on the fictional island of Banoi (at least I think it's fictional, haven't looked it up) you get to choose between 4 characters with different backgrounds. You wake up in your apartment in the hotel you are staying at after passing out. As you go into the halls and start exploring you realise something is not quite right. After a few events you get attacked and bitten. Later waking up in a shack along the beach to find out that you aren't infected. You with this new information take action and start helping out everyone that needs help. I think that's the best way to describe it honestly. The story is kind of all over the place. There's not really an end goal. It constantly changes all the time and then something happens. I'm guessing the main goal is to get off the island but the story just throws you here, over there. Do this, fetch that. Gameplay It's a first person game where you have melee weapons that you can upgrade and mod and make them more powerful with super powerful items like you can set them on fire, electrocute them, make them sick with poison etc. I think that's the game play focus. There's basic sprinting and jumping but nothing revolutionary honestly. This game did originally come out in 2011 so I'd be surprised if anything revolutionary happened then. You can literally go wherever you want to go after the prologue and enemy scale with you so it's not like if you move to one area then enemies are going to be 10 levels up etc. It's pretty balanced all around in terms of that. It's a basic game with a basic principle really. Run around, take out soo many zombies however you want and complete quests. Characters Isn't much to say about these honestly. You get to choose from 4. All with different backgrounds but there literally is no information on them really. They just have a background and that's it. They don't expand on it. Nothing special happens to any of them. They literally just stick together throughout the whole thing and go with the flow. It's a weird game to write about because their is so little information on characters and what to do. You have help along the way from Sinamoi, Sister Helen, the guys in the forest. I've forgotten their names. In these kind of games. I wish characters had backgrounds that meant something. All it does in this game is some skills have changed and whoever you pick has different buffs and stuff but nothing truly worth noting. Trophies Trophies are pretty simple honestly and although they may seem a little overwhelming they're really not. Level 50 probably takes the longest but there is a nice spot at the start of the game where you can level up characters to level 50 in about 4-6 hours rather than 70+ like the game intends for you. You need roughly 3million xp to hit level 50 and after doing every side quest and tiny other things in the story I only had 800k so doing the trophy in the prologue saves a lot of time. A lot of the 250 kills with certain weapons are self explanatory and will happen pretty quickly. There are collectibles but when doing all the side quests you will most likely come across the 120 needed. They range from facts, personal IDs and Mods. There is well over 120 anyway so don't worry too much on that. There is trophies for doing games in co-op. The most annoying one is most likely 5 quests with 3 people. Easy to do but there are not many people left who play the game so whenever I tried to join someone I had to wait for others & also there are fools who have their games public but then will kick you out as soon as you join. Literally no point to it. It's all simple to do though. Conclusion Don't go into this game expecting to be a deep and meaningful story. It's really not. What you do have is a ton of fun, a lot of bad voice acting and smashing the faces of Zombies. What's not to love? The PS4 version does look a lot better than the PS3 version but it still has this ton of blur to it. It's hard to explain it but it's quite obvious when you play it. It's always going on sale for super cheap and the platinum isn't that difficult. I'd suggest giving it a go. Riptide as well which is the direct sequel. I haven't started it properly yet but so far it literally kicks off where the last story finishes. It's a game to be taken not to seriously and if you can get 3 other friends to play it with you. Makes it a ton more fun. I'll be doing another run soon of the platinum to help a friend out. So if anyone needs a few tips or wants the 4 player trophies out of the way. Let me know and everyone wins.

Popular Post Ala-Arska
Battle Chasers: Nightwar The Battle Chaser Aquire all trophies A picture tells more than a thousand words. Not in this screen. Since the Plat image is what it is, I decided to do something different this time. Now with pictures! (and yes, that is a typo in Platinum description. Blame the developers, not me) For starters, I have to say this is absolutely a hidden gem. A turn-based RPG with deep combat and beautiful visuals. I liked the fact that leveling up matters less than acquiring good (and ultimately Legendary!) gear. Being an RPG, of course there's a fishing mini game. But it's fun! Outside of combat there's a strong Bastion feel. Great game too Sound and hit effects are 60's-Batman-Awesome. Music, especially at the end, is excellent and very similar to epic Darksiders II. Monsters are big, aplenty and can kill you quickly. Like usual, the enemy grind is real. This can be a turning point for many. I found Battle Chasers to be addictive, easy on the eyes, engaging in combat and honey on my ears. Slight repetitiveness aside, it is a catch Edited September 22, 2020 by Ala-Arska removed one or two words for even rows

The game was more fun then I expected, it did get a bit boring after a little while for me. It does take ages to load anything within the game. Besides that I had a couple problems with some trophies: 'Started from the bottom' and 'Big name signing' didn't pop for me the first time I achieved the requierments and only got it when I did them a second time. The only other trophy I had a bit of a problem with was 'Squeky clean' but that was because of lack of skill not because of the game.

Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #177 CTR Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled PSN Rarity: Ultra Rare 0.8% PSN Profiles Rarity: Rare 10.03% Difficulty: 8/10. Enjoyment: 10/10. Grind Difficulty: 10/10. Old Classic Music: 10/10. Remake Music: 9/10. Genre: Adventure and Racing. Platinum Time: 1 day and 14 hours. Let's begin. This was by far the most fucking intensifying difficulty game I ever played and the grind was a pure long ass grind and the whole game was crazy as hell. To begin, I started off in story mode on hard difficulty to do everything and I mean EVERYTHING in one whole playthrough setting. I had to stop at 1/4 way (25%) to come with a new plan, getting Photo Finish was a pure luck win and somehow I was surprised and happy to get it, got the most of the trophies done halfway before I even begun and some were very easy to get and most was hard as fuck. Time Trials 1: N Tropy's Trial was pretty much easy and his difficulty was a 4/10. Clearly his skills needs to do more work and take it seriously in racing trials. This was the first step to success and got his trophy done with less mistakes. Time Trials 2: Nitrous Oxide's Time Trial was clearly a big problem for me and I had to come with a way to counterattack his time trials. Well what I can say his difficulty would be a 9/10. Some of his trials was easy to beat except 2 things I absolutely fucking hate is Dragon Mines and Deep Sea Driving. Dragon Mines was a 80% chance that I couldn't get Oxide's Trial done on a whim. It took me a bunch of retries to get it right and maintain my speed so I used Drifter as part that stage and guess what? I was extremely lucky and won by a landslide. Deep Sea Driving maybe bad but certainly not the worst like Dragon Mines, I had to time it right to go through the sea tunnel to avoid any and all obstacles getting in my way and this was clearly a easy win for me. The rest of Oxides Time Trial was easy and that was half of success to get every and all time trials done. Going back to adventure mode as I said about 1/4 (25%) on above, the stages was very challenging and things got much harder and harder at the end of it all. Gathering all CTR Tokens was around 5/10 difficulty at that rate and had no problems getting it all done before doing the gems challenge tournament which brings to it, Gems Challenge Tournament was easier then I expected even on hard mode on adventure. Difficulty I would give is a 4/10. I was happy and got all 5 color gems done perfectly and successfully. Relics, Doing relics was pretty easy to get doesn't matter whether I got random relics and at least it was a soft and relaxing run for it. The difficulty I would give is a 3/10. Bosses: Okay I'll cut straight to the point; Ripper Roo: his skills were decent and using his infinite TNT bombs didn't scare enough to his lunatic self back to the asylum. Difficulty I would give is a 2/10. Papu Papu: His methods was relying on potions and powerups put up a slightly and yet a good battle on his turf. No problems here whatsoever. Difficulty rate: 3/10. Komodo Joe: His idea was TNT and Nitro was throwing me off the tracks but I had a way to bypass his powerups and went that shortcut instead. Gonna love his crazy challenges and gave me a great battle. Difficulty I would say is a 5/10. Pinstripe: His idea was throwing bombs at me on his Hot Skyway Race, the stakes was very high and the Ultra Turbos was the perfect way to outsmart him in his own game. Though he didn't put up much of a fight like the previous bosses. Difficulty: 4/10. Nitrous Oxide: Oh man oh man where do I begin to start with this final hardest tough race? Oxide was no fool, he use's and utilizes every powerups from the previous bosses on whom I defeated but before I explain it, I had to collect all relics as I mentioned before facing him in one giant onslaught battle to the end. To re-iterate, Oxide in Hard Mode seriously gave me a run for my money and even damn tested my limits here. He's fast like a speeding bullet past by a single train. It took me alot of retries to get the whole thing right and he had my Platinum Trophy and this wasn't a big win, it was a miracle and I finally pull it off and send his vacuum nose face back into space. Overall: I am fucking super proud and happy I got this done and gave everything I have got and nail this Platinum Trophy done. This was my childhood favorite game and grown as a veteran on the top of it. I am proud to say, this was a miracle win and I am so speechless at this point. I am proud. I never gave up and I never lose. Would I recommended this hardest game to anyone out there who can do this? The answer is yes. The Next Platinum: ???

Popular Post Carol
#200 Persona 5 Legendary Phantom Thief Earn all trophies. Three years ago, "Persona 4 Golden" was my 100th platinum and it totally deserved that spot. I bought Persona 5 almost a year ago, but didn't plat it right away, so now that I was looking for a game to be my 200th platinum, it felt the natural choice. Persona 5 is truly an excellent game and definitely in my top 10 PS4 games. Although I felt P4G's story was more mysterious and the confidants also had deeper stories, I really liked all the new gameplay mechanics and some of the puzzles that we have to solve, while exploring the Palaces. The anime scenes are also very beautiful. Above all, what I love the most in the Persona series is how deep, meaningful and inspiring the concept of Personas can be for our lives and how it shows us that the bonds with others can change you and make you stronger. Trophy-wise, nothing in this platinum is too hard, but it's still a daunting project, that demands a lot of work and time.

This game is an exception; for such a short game it was well thought out with some fun platforming and simple puzzle-solving. Nothing groundbreaking, but I was expecting a lot worse for a game that cost less than a cup of coffee (it's 80% off on the PS Store, definitely recommend!). Popular Post ExistentialSolid
#205: Lumo ~ Ultimate Played The Game ~Difficulty: 7/10 ~ Enjoyment: 5/10 While I can understand wanting to stroll down memory lane to revisit worlds and ideas that have been gathering dust for decades, Lumo's archaic design, frustrating isometric platforming, and cryptic secrets make this a difficult game to recommend to anyone that doesn't have serious nostalgia for old-school isometric adventures. Every jump feels like a guessing game in Lumo. Trying to determine how far away an obstacle is, or how large the obstacle is for that matter, comes down to a series of estimations by the player that all too often prove to be inaccurate. The trophy "Old Skool Daze!" is the star of the game's trophy set and asks that you complete the game in one sitting with a limited set of lives (you start with 3 but can pick up more lives as you go). Since death can strike quickly and each run can last 1-2 hour hours, this mode will require quite a bit of practice to survive. Luckily, lives are scattered around very generously so you can afford more mistakes than you'd initially expect. Just be patient, practice the trickier rooms in advance, and stay calm when some particularly annoying obstacle starts eating away at your lives. In the end, I had about 2 lives to spare and was relieved to see the credits finally roll on this rough nostalgia trip.
Popular Post yellowwindow7
Kingpin / Saints Row: The Third Remastered not new to this game since i already plated the original ps3 version back then, could have plated it so quick but since i love this game so much i intentionally played it while taking my time with it. while graphically it got some massive improvements that made it almost like a remake when compared to the ps3 version, they did fix some of the dumb stuff seen in the original, it's not just a new paint. - cars and bikes now controls way much smoother and better. - framerate got a massive jump from 30FPS / 28FPS to what it seems to be ranged from 60 to 50 or 40FPS, i mean i have a base ps4 and the game was running most of the time at 60 to 50 or 45FPS, so i assume it's a solid 60 on the pro or XBONEX, though you can cap it at 30FPS if that's your thing, but still it's a huge improvement form the ps3 or Switch port. - finally got rid of the annoying other gangs and police to road block you randomly while you're on the run. - got rid of that stupid random stuff where sometimes you see workers block a street with their truck while standing there like bots doing nothing. - got rid of NPC's riding their cars where they all of a sudden hit the breaks hard and do a sharp turns to drive to the other way, though replace that with drunk drivers that you see them have difficulties controlling their cars and if they hit something and stop they'll comes out while holding a bottle of a drink then start puking then get back to their senses. other minor stuff.. - made the clothes more realistic looking than the plastic looking ones on the ps3. - removed the camera app from your phone.. i think is because on the ps4 you can now take screenshot's via the share button natively. - they add some sort of a ray tracing, cars will reflect on each others bodies even when you or other NPC's walks past them, and you can see reflections of people or you and any other stuff to be seen on buildings mirrors/shiny finish objects or on pool of waters on the ground, i'm not a technical genius so i don't know if that's ray tracing or not but i know that these consoles does not support ray tracing natively as you have to add them to your games by an update or some thing.... maybe this explain the nearly 60GB of the whole game? though, not all are shiny and rosey.. - i notice some weird graphical bugs like the world sometimes to be covered with white grey or light brown fog and the skybox goes completely black making the world looks like if it cames from a nightmare-ish horror film or something, this mostly happen when you finish a mission, it happen to me twice. - many clothes after getting the new texture got some graphical corruptions especially the masks in the eyeholes areas. - the jet black color on clothes is a bit messed up, in the original you can get a jet black shoes or a clothes if you likes but in this remaster the black looks more like a darker grey cement and black hair, eyelash, eyebrow looks really weird. - one of the scene when visit the wrestler Angle will show that he's boxing a punching bag, when he hit the bag you see the bag swinging while there's another bag stand idle on it as if they add two model on top of each other. - the mornstar earring when you use it will float away from your ears, and speaking of float, when you enter the Leather and Lace shop, on your right you'll see a mannequin wearing a naughty girl's glove but the glove is floating over the mannequin's hands. - the big one that they never fixed since the ps3 days is the problems with the start screen, if you have a bad internet like i do you know what i'm talking about, the game will freeze the moment the start screen shows resulting the entire ps3 to freeze and require a hard reset to fix it, this still happn on the ps3 even after the server been shut down, on the ps4 this still happen as the game will takes you to a never ending loop loading screen but at least the console doesn't freeze. the only way to avoid this is to disable the internet before starting the game, on ps3 you need to disable the internet until you done playing since the ps3 won't allow you to enter the system's option while using an application ( give the ps3 a break, it's an old tech! ), but on the ps4's remastered you can just enable the internet once you pass the start screen. oh, also for a weird reason in the remaster during gameplay if you have a bad internet connection the game may lag even if you're playing it alone with no one online, this never happen in the original ps3. finally the platinum trophy is straight forward to attain, nothing is hard to do, the challenges might bored you to death to attempt them all since it's a one huge ass grind to the end, good thing they removed the Jumped In trophy, because it required you to create a character and share it online, this made the ps3 version platinum almost unobtainable now due to the server been shut down. sorry if this takes too long to read ( if you ever bother to read it all ) i need to keep stuff so short in the future, stay safe and stay classy guys and gals ? Popular Post Fleks_Mhteam
#273 Parappa the Rapper Hip Hop Hero Time to Platinum: 6 Hours Difficulty: 4/10 (subjective) Enjoyment: 3/10 A rhythm game where the beat is off is... well it sux and if your tv has a high input lag it proves barely playable. I had to mute the game and put on rumble to hit the beats correctly and that pretty much kills the purpose of it if you can't listen to the music. It is sad because I had fond childhood memories of Parappa the rapper but it is a chore to plat. If you are looking for a nice and relaxing rhythm game just pass your way on this one it will spare you some frustration.
