Popular Post Dr_Mayus
#308 - OVIVO I bought this as a cheap game on sale after seeing the trailer for it. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this game. The art style is beautiful, the music haunting, the controls for the most part are great and it is one of those games you can just enjoy without needing a guide. Seriously pick this game up for a cheap easy plat, it is truly a hidden gem.

Popular Post Redgrave
#192: Complete - Clannad I didn't know much of anything about this before going into it other than it's supposed to be a very emotional heavy story. The answer that is yes it is pretty heavy on the emotions with quite a few moments hitting me pretty good, especially in regards to a few of the endings. It also has a share of funny moments that made me laugh out loud too, one of them being one of the endings you can get Despite the length I didn't feel like it overstayed its welcome or anything like that, so if there's a visual novel I'm willing to recommend this can be added to the list. Spoilers on the endings. Spoiler The initial After Story ending where both Nagisa and Ushio die was pretty heavy. While the true ending results in you being able to have them both live, I was kind of expecting it to be a bittersweet ending where Nagisa dies but Ushio lives on to have a happy life with Tomoya. I would have accepted that if they didn't do the true ending where they both live. I think this and a couple other endings mentioned below live up to the emotional aspect that people praise the story for. The Kyou ending I found to be pretty painful, but not in like it was bad, but just that it was hard seeing Tomoya struggle with his feelings throughout it while dating Ryou. I don't think I've really come across a story where it made me feel that way in regard to a characters relationship or if I have then it's been a long time. Thankfully it got a happy ending, since I would hate to imagine how the bad ending to that would have looked. Kotomi's ending is probably my favorite of everything not counting the After Story though. Not only was the reveal of her backstory really sad, but it had that fear that a kid would have of their parents disappearing and them not being able to find them despite looking everywhere for them. But the part with the briefcase that had the gift from Kotomi's father was very nice especially the part where it shows that it traveled around the world and that it had people from different countries write on it. It was a very touching scene and if it weren't for the other endings being as good this would definitely be my favorite one I think.

Puppeter04
43 Legends of War : Patton To be honest, I thought this game was going to be a sh*t, but it surprised me I have a lot of fun, I haven't played a strategy game in a loooong loooong time. I like games that make me think a little too, not just act on instinct because we are already automated. Anyways, plat it in 2 days, pretty good, a stress free plat cause you can start over every mission Edited October 5, 2020 by Puppeter04

Popular Post bbaauuiiss97
#699 Call of Duty: Ghosts (PS4) Saw this on sale and thought I'd check it out, didn't expect much due to knowing Ghosts got a lot of hate, but I was in the mood for some dumb fun so I went for it. And to my surprise I actually liked this game quite a lot, the campaign was a really fun ride with lots of variation, taking you from gunfights underwater to gunfights in space And I really loved the extinction coop mode, had much more fun with it than the zombies or spec ops coop modes I've played in previous games, and the upgrade system is something you can really sink your "teeth" into. (only extinction players will catch that joke lol) gotta say this might be my favorite CoD yet c:

Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #200 Catherine: Full Body Milestone 200th Ultra Rare 2.91% Difficulty: 8/10. Enjoyment: 10/10. Grind Difficulty: 10/10. Music: 10/10. Challenge: 9/10. Genre: Platform, Puzzle, Horror, Eroctic, Mystery, Murder, Action, Romance, Ecchi and Harem. Platinum Time: 7 months and 1 week. Let's begin. Today was the most dangerous and most difficulty puzzle game I ever played. The puzzles were very well made complex remade and what I saw in the nightmare is bosses lmao. Bosses were very tough to defeat which i'll explain each piece by piece below on what I really like about the game and others i'll explain as well. Difficulty I chose to begin with? Normal difficulty for starters. The reason I chose to strike this one out first is because I need to feel this game out study the puzzles movements, getting to know my familiar surroundings etc. I like this fully body remake out of this game it has shown out of greatness depths, stories, tits, asses, romance etc. Bosses: Clearly when doing this shit on Hard Mode and Remix Hard was the most fucking crazy intensifying game I ever come across. I will admit this was very impressive and well made challenge to ultimately tackle on this kind of battle in the nightmare. Difficulty: 9/10. Music: What I really like about the music is there are quite a handful new full body music and what's more Persona 5's musics are here. The music was breathtaking and the music concept and style was fantastic and well worth it. Endings: They're alot of endings that go good, neutral, bad or Rin's Ending but one stands out tall. The ending I chose for Vincent Brooks is This Road We Walk. Another reason why I chose Vincent Brooks' ending is Vincent doesn't wanna get marry to her childhood friend Katherine Mcbride or Catherine the demon succubus or the 3rd Qatherine name Rin because Vincent like's to live a true freedom and go on his seperate path whereas he doesn't wanna be force getting marry tiedown something he doesn't wanna be commited nor lying about it. Rapunzel: This was my last and final pitstop getting the platinum trophy and 200th milstone. Man going through hell on 128 stages on Rapunzel was almost a clusterfuck. 64 stages on normal and 64 stages on hard. This sprung me out of surprise and didn't know their was a 2nd round out of 64 stages for the final act. At least no time limits weren't engaged but limited move objects is a must. I had to go every short videos and follow the puzzle movements to get it right and some parts I fucked it up and most parts I didn't. This was a very tedious and very long challenge again I come across. I enjoyed this immensely and love the hard and tough challenge for Rapunzel. Difficulty rating: 6/10. Difficulty Puzzles and Remixes: As I mentioned above, the normal blocks was clearly a difficult challenge to overcome each and individual floors including the bosses. It was so fucking painful and annoying as hell that I had to go through not just normal blocks but also remix ones as well. Remix Blocks was slightly better then I expected but still a very hard challenge to begin with. Ultimately in the end, I got the UR gold trophy and this was a huge and big win for me and brought this difficulty puzzle down to it's knees. Difficulty: 8/10. Babel: Altar. This was a beginner's luck and this challenge show normal and crack blocks. It takes 5 minutes to clean this first quarter out and very easy to win it without to much pressure. Difficulty I would say: 2/10. Babel: Menhir. Thing gets tougher but thankfully it's similar much like Altar but short blocks comes first. This shows Normal, crack and spike blocks for the halfway point. A very decent challenge and great to overcome the obstacle. Difficulty rating: 3/10. Babel: Obelisk. This one right here is no easy feat. It shows previous ones I occurred and what is worst, move blocks, bomb blocks, ice blocks and ??? blocks. It took some thinking to get what must be done and found my way back to the fold and got this done perfectly. This was a well-made and difficulty challenge for me. Difficulty I would give is a 5/10. Babel: Axis Mundi. Ok this gets much MUCH worst. This was no fool. This would give everyone a real headache on solo and making the path a truly and surprise challenge, previous blocks added this shit to the mix and a new one added call the void block. But thankfully I did this with a 2nd controller making the entire game alot easier and more timing to go through. I chose Vincent Brooks and Joker from Persona 5 AKA the Afro Duos. Both did a excellent job and I was proud of this moment. Difficulty: 5/10. Vincent Brooks best quote: Why live a life without doing what you want? That's just a recipe for a life of misery. Overall: This is a excellent game and another UR platinum to accomplished this masterpiece on a high note. This was my 2nd UR platinum to obtain this beautifully and successfully. I am very proud to say: I am super fucking proud and happy I got this done and made me...Well speechless again. Would I recommended this UR platinum game and difficulty game to anyone? My answer is 100% yes. The Next Platinum: ??? Edited October 6, 2020 by UltraFire121
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#327 - Wasteland 2 King of the Wasteland Collect all trophies I've had this one sitting in the backlog for years, and with the recent release of Wasteland 3, I figured it was finally time to dive in. Never played the first game, but I do know it was the predecessor to the Fallout series, and I've played almost all of those including the Fallout 1 & 2. Wasteland 2 plays like one of the classic Fallout games with some modern day conveniences. Most western RPG's these days are far too dumbed down and "hold holdy" to appeal to a wider range of people, but this game isn't like that. It isn't afraid to have stats galore and in-depth mechanics. It felt like I was making meaningful choices not only in the story, but with how I was building my squad. This game is fantastic and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who's a fan of older RPG's. I'm looking forward to playing Wasteland 3 which I hear is even better.
Popular Post Jelly Soup
#131 - Ether One This game wanted to be Myst-lite so very much. But most of it's difficulty doesn't come from unique or clever puzzles. Just a sprawling map chock full of redundant items and not a great way to deal with all of them. I say that, but I did really like the hub. It's the small living area that provides shelves to store and switch items mostly whenever you like. I only really decided to finish this because it got a surprise patch a few weeks ago that fixed a lot of long standing issues with the game. No more random crashes and ten minute load times.
Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#402 - Star Wars Episode 1: Racer I had an absolute blast with this and it's a game that's very close to my heart having absolutely rinsed it on N64 as well as being based on my favourite scene from The Phantom Menace Did the platinum without the cheats or the debug menu as the game is fun anyway and it also doesn't really take that long to platinum to begin with. It's a simple plat for the most part but one or two races can be a bit tricky if you haven't bought the correct upgrades. If you're willing to deviate from simply playing as Anakin then I highly recommend Neva Kee and Mars Guo who are definitely my favourite pilots to race as. Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 4/10 (no cheats or debug menu used)
Popular Post Phantochi
#211 - Resident Evil 2 Remake Once a masterpiece, always a masterpiece! I won't say it's the best game ever. It is certainly flawed, and the second half of the game is not as good as the first one, but everything Remake 2 does right, it does better than any game in the genre and it's predecessors in the series. This re-imagining of Resident Evil 2 has managed to take 80% of what you thought you remember from the original game and retell it in a way that hits all the nostalgia feel good buttons, while reminding you that this is a modern game. I'll make this short by saying, this is an absolute must have game for everyone, not just Resident Evil fans.
Popular Post TheDragonfly44
#100 - The Walking Dead The Final Season For my 100th platinum I knew it had to be special, so I decided to make it the platinum of one of my favorite games of all time (its a toss up between this and Personal 5 Royal) Its not a particularly hard platinum (not like any of my recent ones have been) but getting a trophy does require you to watch a good character die in a really sad way so Id say its hard anyways. There's not much to say about this one, except Im glad that Telltale decided to actually give the game trophies, and I wish that more of their games did that. This game is seriously amazing and although I think the ending could of been better, my first playthrough was one of the most perfect experiences I've had.
Popular Post dermarx
#134 - Horizon Zero Dawn I started Horizon Zero Dawn 3 years ago but lost interesst after a few hours into the game. Bought it with the DLCs included in one of the last PSN sales, started all over again and finished it almost exactly after three years (First trophy was on 8th Oct 2017). Seems like I started to like this game after 3 years; lol. Finished it now within a month or 60 Hours of Playtime. Also got Trophy Level 38 on my way to the Plat. Next step is the Frozen Wilds DLC. Probably going to skip the New Game Plus Trophies, don't know if I'm up for this challange Edited October 5, 2020 by dermarx
Popular Post JoaLoft
#232 - Marvel's Avengers Sigh. Where to begin. Honestly, I just got this platinum trophy an hour ago, and I feel drained at this point. What a disappointing tedious game, considering the production value. This Marvel's Avengers game has nothing in common with the Infinity Saga of the movies, but instead follows the canon story of Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), a fan of the Avengers who acquires super powers after a catastrophic event takes place. The Avengers are blamed for the chaos and disperse, while Kamala seeks to reunite the superheroes to battle the real villain behind the attack, and earn her place among the Avengers in the process. That's the story in a nutshell, which follows recent comic issues, and the campaign is actually fairly decent. Characters are pretty likeable, aside from Tony Stark who just reminded me of Nathan Drake a bit too much with the lame jokes and remarks. And yes, this does indicate he is voiced by Nolan North, obviously. That being said, this also means you won't see any of the real actors' and actresses' likenesses in the game. Presumably because it would have cost them more money than the entire available budget. The game is a third-person beat-em-up game, where you are able to take control of one of six launch heroes - more will be added later for free, supposedly. They all have their own cosmetics to unlock and their own move set, but that's about it. This game's blueprint is reminiscent of Destiny: you team up in a lobby and then tackle a coop mission together and find loot to get stronger and increase your gear score. Sounds cool when you provide actual superheroes to play with, but .. Well, let's get to the next paragraph. Tiime to talk about the bad stuff about this game. Repetitivity is pretty much the best way to describe the cons of Marvel's Avengers. This game carries the official Marvel label, and yet they opted only for MODOK and two other villains: Taskmaster and Abomination? I had never even heard of MODOK and Abomination before! It really doesn't help that the endgame content is just so incredibly boring and bland. You keep on fighting robots and generic soldiers in the same lifeless environments, and always Taskmaster and Abomination in Villain Sectors. Over and over again. Oh, the visuals are pretty average as well. Not just that: the game is incredibly broken. You want a list of bugs I encountered? Sure. - My character disappeared and/or froze in place. - When a disconnect occurs, clones of other characters spawn in their place, leaving me with teams filled with two Black Widows or two Hulks. What the F. - Enemy units get stuck behind doors or glitch into the scenery, which requires you to reload the checkpoint - progressing usually means taking out all the enemies, and if the last enemy glitches out of your grasp: you'd better strap in to hit the restart button. - Buttons or terminals would not work or cease to function, locking me out of optional and mandatory objectives. - Loading screens just keep going, forcing a hard reboot of the game sometimes. - Animations can glitch and cause weird situations. - Cutscenes freeze and end up in a creepy loop. It's just abysmal. The technical side of this game is a mess. So in conclusion? Story and campaign are decent and have some nice missions. Combat mechanics are generally fine. Endgame content and its technical status are appallingly bad. This game was made by the same people who did the first two Tomb Raider games of the reboot trilogy: Crystal Dynamics. How on Earth did they screw up 50% of Marvel's Avengers so badly? For a studio held to pretty high esteem? This entire game should have just been a long campaign with better chapters, without the terrible endgame portion. Or even an open-world singleplayer RPG. What we got instead, however, could very well end up being the biggest gaming disappointment in 2020. This doesn't happen often, but I urge you all: please, don't buy it. It's not worth playing, and that's not mentioning the trophies. Speaking of which ... Most frustrating trophy - To the Dark and Back Again Fifty Hive missions. That's how many I needed to clear to get this absolute b*tch of a trophy. And there were a lot of contenders for most frustrating trophy in this list. A Hive - for those of you who are not familiar with the game - is an endgame activity where you have to clear a number of levels filled with enemies and an objective. Sort of like a gauntlet. Fifty of these are a pain in the ass. Trust me, I've been grinding for days to get it done. But that's not all: half (or even more?) of the trophy list consists of requirements which are linked to endgame content: leveling up 250 times spread across the entire hero roster, open 50 cache strongboxes (boxes in very specific bunkers), rescue 100 prisoners, collect 50 intelligence files, complete 30 Warzone missions on Challenge level III (a higher difficulty level), complete 15 Villain Sectors, ... The list goes on. You need to level up loads, stumble across collectibles - yes that's right, STUMBLE, not FIND, replay tedious missions in the same boring environments over and over again, fighting the same shitty troops over and over again, hitting Taskmaster and Abomination endlessly in the balls OVER AND OVER AGAIN. These trophies are clearly set up to keep you invested in the game for a long period of time, hence all the free content they're planning to deliver in the next months and years. Grinding 50 Hive missions though ... That one takes the cake. You can combine a lot of the other trophies, but this one was the last remaining trophy I needed to successfully put an end to the torture. And I've been relentlessly just starting the same Hive mission back up again once I finished it, crawling to that sweet finish line. And I did. So glad I got the platinum trophy. So glad I never have to touch this game again. If you'll all excuse me now: I need to go take an aspirin, lie down, and rest. I earned it.

Popular Post cr1s
#469 - Deus Ex: Mankind Divided #CantKillProgress You experienced Deus Ex: Mankind Divided™ and collected all trophies. Congrats! Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Difficulty: 4/10 It's nice to play another Deus Ex game after all this time. They did a good job of continuing the story from where Human Revolution ended, but the ending(s) leaves a lot to be desired. Much like its predecessor, there's a lot to explore (and loot) and it's really fun sneaking your way through or around each area. The graphics are superb and the game's different locales and environments are well designed. The voice acting is so-so, though. I'm not sure what went wrong there, but it's as if the voice actors were indifferent to their roles. And then there are a few technical issues here and there like some noticeable frame drops while you're running through Prague, but then again I don't have a PS4 Pro... I thought Breach was okay. They basically took the NSN part of the game and made an entire mode based on it. Oh, but it's online-only and the servers are bound to go down every now and then. One annoying thing about it is that if you get disconnected while playing a level, you have to play it again. Not only that, but the game only tells you so when the level ends. It would've been nice if, you know, it did that while you were playing the level so that you could've restarted it right there and then. Thankfully, it only happened twice to me but if your Internet happens to have some issues then you can expect some annoyance there. As far as completion, it wasn't too bad without the Infinite Energy glitch. It seemed a little daunting at first glance, but it didn't take me long before I got the hang of it. Another inclusion in Mankind Divided is a permadeath mode (unlocked after beating the game on any difficulty) with a trophy that requires you to complete the game on that mode. You get one save slot and can save as many times as you want, and if you die your save gets wiped. You can circumvent that by backing up your save, but you shouldn't really have any trouble if you know a great way to tackle each mission and take certain shortcuts that allow you to bypass lots of enemies. For example, that vent in Mission 5 that takes you immediately to the objective and the Ice Drill in Mission 13. You'll also get the choice between two missions at one point, so you can just choose the shorter/easier one in that case. You can also explore the three sets of apartments (that aren't in restricted areas) early on for some extra Praxis Kits, Biocells, and other goodies. Combine all of these factors and Permadeath Mode should be pretty easy.
Popular Post Ya_Boy_James
#40 - FINAL FANTASY VIII Lionheart Obtain all trophies Last October I finished the story of FFVII, and having now finished FFVIII I can confirm that both titles hit me with some sort of feels at their end. It's some kind of perfect storm between the nostalgia, a sense of accomplishment, and the game's life-encompassing themes. Like when you have a good dream and wake up; you're happy because it happened, bummed that it's over, and a little confused with how to move on and start your day. Perhaps it says as much about me, but both times I've been left saturated with thoughts and feelings. Now that you've climbed into this weird hole with me... let's talk about FF8's most divisive gameplay features! First, the Draw system. In FF8 you gain access to magic by "drawing" it from enemies. Different enemies hold different magics, and rather than using MP to cast them you must keep your players stocked with individual casts. However, these magics also have a use in the Junction system. Summons take the form of "Guardian Forces" in FF8 that you equip (junction) to party members, though beyond their spectacular combat use, they have the additional functioning of boosting your base stats and providing elemental damage and resistances. But -- a magic must be equipped (junctioned) for each stat buff, and its power is related to which spell it is and how many stacks you have stored. The main criticism players have here is that casting your magic in turn will decrease your stats. Personally, I was not very bothered by that aspect. It only added a little bit of a grind (unless you were insistent on keeping everyone constantly maxed), created a strategic element to combat, and up to 100 stacks of a given magic per character meant stat changes and depletion were gradual. Instead, my complaint would be that I felt somewhat like I was building out sets of GF's more than individual characters. Whenever the story or training forced me to use my "secondary" party members, I would simply swap my pre-built GF sets onto them. This made them feel a bit less distinct to control, despite their custom weapon and Limit Breaks, and decreased my interest in leveling everyone. Lastly, enemy scaling with your level was a touch less fun to me. It was somewhat dissatisfying to return to earlier areas and not feel impervious, while also never really getting into a fight with a new enemy that I was dreadfully unprepared for. It did keep me in check though, whereas I was indestructible through the final stages of FF7. I highlight those few drawbacks because they may be what turn some players away, but if you can swallow those systems-- that's it. This is an epic game with so many memorable moments. FF7 is certainly the more iconic PS1-era title, but the characters and story in FF8 do not fall short of amazing. There's playfulness, emotion, and intrigue. Character models and cinematics took a recognizable leap with this installment. The score is beautiful and evocative. The world is full of hidden gems, discoveries big and small. Final Fantasy VIII captured me far more than I expected. Edited October 6, 2020 by Ya_Boy_James
