Popular Post coldhardcrash_
#42 Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Decent game at best. Might be an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed the original trilogy much more than I enjoyed this game. A lot of menial tasks, the endlessly long cutscenes (honestly does not feel like a game at times), so much less action, the constant climbing, the drawn out levels, the pointless collectibles (Optional Conversations, I'm looking at you) and that God damn dolphin trophy. Graphics and controls are slick and are probably the highlight of the game. The action sequences and gunfights are fun, the few times they happen in the game. Just wasn't my cup of tea, I bought The Lost Legacy on special not long ago and hoping that it's somewhat better. Really loved the nemesis system. Platinum trophy is not so hard to get. Not sure wich game I'm going to plat next. It could be PES 2020, The Witcher 3 but I also installed Dragonball Xenoverse so maybe I'm going for that one.

Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #553: Difficulty: 3/10 Playtime: 3-4 hours Enjoyment: 7/10 Now, I tend to make it a rule not to do these write-up things on stacks, but screw it, I'm on a train and I'm bored, so... Wild Card! Slayaway Camp is a must for '80s slasher horror junkies... even if you play it with a walkthrough like me (I don't do well with turn-based puzzlers like these), there's just so much goofy slashy fun to be had. The snappy pun-based script similarly oozes passion and affection for the subject matter, as do the zillion and one movie references, many of them in the actual trophy titles. It just has an effortlessly enervating and engaging way about it that's a real winner, even in the comparatively gore-free PG Mode! Being a Vita port, there are of course some technical concessions made... but considering, the trade-off is pretty darn solid. The end-of-stage bonus mini-games even verge on 60 FPS! But I will say this... compare the completion time to that of my PS4 run from last year. Played exactly the same way (I even managed to complete Yo! Skullface! on only my second try this time, compared to the half hour or so from last time!)--bar the odd mistake and app crash or one or two or three--it took about an hour longer to speedrun the thing. Yeah, that whole extra hour? All load times, kid. Ye be warned, ye be... it needs not be said that the PS4 is the best way to enjoy this game (had to knock down the enjoyment grade by one 0.5 out of fairness), but mostly, it's a pretty enjoyable bit of stackage. Not for nothing, I'd be there day one for a PS5 stack, just sayin'...
Popular Post Angel
Kandagawa Jet Girls Platinum #152 Kandagawa Jet Girls was such a good ol' senseless fun game with upbeat music, slice of life story, charming characters, and splashing with colorful race tracks. I really enjoyed playing this game as I love games I can play, then play a different game and come back to it without feeling stressed out about it. For that I have been able to play many other games while still coming back to KJG and having fun racing on jet skis which is why you see such a long platinum time ? Platinum wise is was very easy and straight forward, most of the trophies unlock by just playing the story and there's rarely any challenge with the races. It also doesn't require you to unlock every costume, vehicle parts or any other tedious play. I do recommend giving it a play and hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Thank you for your time as always, wishing you my best on your next platinum and be careful out there!
Omelette Paradise
#411 - The Secret Order: Return to the Buried Kingdom So this is the eighth installment in the Secret Order franchise but only the second one to appear on PS4 (the seventh installment was actually the first). Return to the Buried Kingdom is a direct follow up to The Secret Order 5: The Buried Kingdom which I haven't played so the story was a little bit lost on me. I've genuinely no idea why Artifex Mundi have just skipped to the seventh game in the series for the console releases here but there we go. The usual mix of hidden object puzzles, minigames and stuff plus very good looking hand drawn scenes. Popular Post SukkarPunch
This is possibly my proudest platinum so far, because, not only is it so far removed from the types of games that I usually play, but it was also a game that initially beat me and caused me to concede the platinum... WIPEOUT OMEGA COLLECTION I started playing WipEout in the summer, not believing that I could platinum it, but determined to earn whatever trophies I could from it because I enjoyed it. I managed to brute force my way through the Elite difficulty HD and Fury campaigns, but hit an seemingly immovable object when I came up against the level 65-70 zone requirements within the 2048 campaign. Barely scraping to the standard Pass ranking, the Elite Pass requirements genuinely felt impossible for me. Even using the ships recommended by the majority of players on various forums, I just couldn't get anywhere near the target requirements, and so eventually gave up on it. Anyhow, I returned to the game recently and, surprisingly, despite the fairly lengthy layoff, my skills weren't rusty in the slightest. In fact, my reaction times were actually much sharper than they were previously and I was able to beat all Zone challenge requirements within a matter of days, with some needing only 3-4 attempts. Contrary to most recommendations, though, I never once used the often-recommended AG Sytems Prototype, as I found it far too sensitive to control at the faster speeds. Instead, I used the Auricom Agility to beat all but two of the Zone challenges, only then utilising the Quirex Agility for the slightly increased health benefit it offers in order to complete the other two.
Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #224 Date a Live: Rio Reincarnation EU Uncommon: 44.04% Difficulty: 1/10. Enjoyment: 10/10. Genre: Simulator, Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Visual Novel, Ecchi, Harem and Romance. Grind Difficulty: 7/10. Challenge: 7/10. Platinum Time: 1 day and 54 minutes. Today went perfect straight to the mark and gonna love the choices were well made and created from start to finished. No difficulty wasn't tough at all and got it all handled perfectly. The grind was very long and tedious from Rinne Utopia to Arusu Install and Rio Reincarnation. Sometimes I gonna be very careful to go through choices so that I don't overlapped any of them. The best part I like is Rio Reincarnation. I gonna admit it was a sad and true ending and that was worth the wait to watch it in the end. Favorite Waifu: Miku Izayoi. Overall: It's a perfect and great game to play and it's well worth it. Would I recommended this game to anyone out there? My answer is 100% yes. Popular Post yellowwindow7
The N. Credible Crash Bandicoot / Crash Bandicoot 2 unlike the first game i'm i bit familiar with crash 2, so i don't have publish a hate speech book ranting about how annoying it is. the platinum is way much easier than the first but it's kinda odd seen the rarity for the platinum is higher than the first game, i bet the reason for that is people got so annoyed with the first game and either didn't bother with crash 2 and 3 or just gave up halfway, and after a while they return and played the 3rd game and it was kinda more easier than both, and much more fun in my opinion. the only thing i wished this collection to have is the ability to switch the soundtracks to the original like toys for bob did with Spyro the Reignited Trilogy, i grew up listening to the original on the ps1 version and the remixed soundtracks kinda sucked in comparison in my opinion.
Popular Post madbuk
#394 - Resident Evil 0 I had heard some very mixed things about this game when I first bought it. Some people said it was one of the weakest RE games available, others said it was almost on par with REmake. Having played it myself now, I can say I much prefer REmake. Some parts of this were just straight up worse - I hate the new inventory system where you drop things instead of using item boxes, because it results in so much backtracking unless you're playing very optimally. The single player co-op element this game had where you swap between characters was also rather tedious more than enjoyable because it just meant you had two inventories to manage and two characters to take care of. I much preferred the split campaigns Jill/Chris had in REmake. Some of the environments in this, mainly the train, were also pretty annoying to navigate. Unlike REmake which gave you room to evade enemies, in this you have to actually kill them to get past in certain areas. Which is fine, I guess, but I enjoyed the evasion in REmake more. One thing I do really like about this game is that there are no crimson heads, so you aren't actually punished for killing. The only downside is all the ammo you use up doing so. Some of the bosses were pretty bad - the bat comes to mind, where if you can't stunlock it to death, it spawns a bunch of smaller bats that then compete for your auto aim attention and interrupt your attacks. And you can't move while aiming, so you can't avoid these interruption attacks. One of the bosses towards the end was bad too, you're in a very narrow corridor and its hitbox is pretty large, so good luck dodging all its attacks. Despite my grievances with this... I do think overall I enjoyed it. Just nowhere near as much as REmake. I'm definitely done with fixed camera angles now though, sorry Code Veronica, but I'll be skipping you. RE2 remake is next up, and I can't wait for more freedom in terms of movement/aiming/camera. I won't be playing it anytime soon though.

Popular Post DefinitiveTJ
A mostly narrative games update: Platinum 63 & 64: Telltale's The Wolf Among Us and Game of Thrones & There isn't a lot I can say about these games that you don't already know but I still like playing Telltale games. I already played these on other accounts so it wasn't surprising any more but still fun with some of the different choices. The Wolf Among Us is still my favorite and it's bonkers to me that they are still developing the sequel (if it will ever come out is a big question but who knows). Platinum 65: 11-11: Memories Retold From the people that made Valiant Hearts, 11-11 is another game that focuses on telling war stories from the first world war in a different visual style than you're used to. This game is in 3d with a painted style that looks gorgeous, although not always as detailed as you want it to be. The story is great but it didn't entirely grab me and I saw some reveals coming way ahead. The platinum is easy but there are so many collectibles that I would almost call it 11-11: Collectible the Game. It has many different endings though which is cool and they get very personal. Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #554: Difficulty: 3/10 Playtime: 30 minutes to an hour Enjoyment: 6.5/10 A retro platformer with a twist... or, more accurately, more than several of said. Starring some guy named Tcheco (whose default facial expression is more like a facial depression for whatever reason), 'tis the story of one man's quest to save his dog from the titular tower, festooned with 65 or so puzzley and platformy rooms. The gameplay can be likened more to the randomized madlibs madness of WarioWare than anything else. While not randomized as such, you never know what's coming up in the next bite-sized level, and more often than not you've gotta be quick with your reaction speed. Skulls, bats, and Frankensteins abound, as do a host wibbly-wobbly physics-defying devices to help power your platforming. The frenetic pace ensures there's hardly ever a dull moment, and some of the gameplay changeups can be a lot of fun. The intentionally(?) ropey dialogue and awkward voice clips help to enhance the retro feel. I don't know if I can say it's got a lot more effort put into it than your bogrot quick platinum game, but I'd definitely put it in the upper tier of ones more engaging from a gameplay perspective. Something about it just works. Speedrunners are bound to have a field day with it, but it's also fun to play at your own pace... as much as the game allows you to, that is. For what it is, this is pretty darn solid.
Popular Post AgentSmiz
Platinum 108 - Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered Still holds up after all these years - both as the unofficial Ghostbusters 3 (long before the 2016 and Afterlife were a thing) and as a fun 3rd person game. t's a little bit clunky in places but overall, I enjoyed going back to it to get the odd few trophies I had left. Trophy list itself is an easy one with it technically being possible in one playthrough with careful planning, use of mission select and cheeseing an oversight. Otherwise, it's 2-3 playthroughs - hard mode legit being the greatest challenge. Slight disappointment that the platinum is just named "Platinum Trophy". Most of the other trophies are quotes from the films. Could have gone with "No job is too big".
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#332 - Dying Light We’ll talk about it next time I see you Get all game trophies I had heard good things about this game but I only just got around to playing it now. It's from the developers who made the original Dead Island, and I've got to say, this is a big step up from that one. The really stand out thing to me about this game are the parkour mechanics. It's so much fun running/climbing around the city, and later on you even unlock a grapple. I was pretty invested in the story - there were some great moments. You get even more of it in The Following DLC which was nice, as was the new driving mechanic. The Bozak Horde DLC kind of sucked, especially with the glitches I encountered there, but it was still an excellent experience overall and I'm looking forward to the sequel whenever that comes out. Popular Post MrFudge
#64 Vampyr Time is on my side Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Earned in: 18 days My first ever Halloween plat thanks to @Dr_Mayus! ?? Vampyr is a fairly peculiar beast, not too dissimilar to the titular vampires themselves I suppose. The game gets off to a brilliant start with some truly terrific music and stellar voice acting as a beautiful opening cutscene sets up a world of bloody intrigue. Unfortunately this is pretty much the high point of the game. The introductory hour or so that follows exposes a series of flaws that only widen as the game progresses. One might expect an industrial London ravaged by the immediate aftermath of the Great War to serve as a riveting setting for a vampire tale, but Vampyr only ever flirts with fruition of this expectation. Visually, I found the scenery to be far too dank and dingy, with one place feeling and looking indistinguishable from another. This largely unremarkable world is inhabited almost entirely by devoid NPCs that exist solely as boring exposition machines. The base combat, whilst not entirely unsatisfying, is clunky and stilted. For the first 3 chapters common enemies and bosses alike succumb to minimal effort. For the latter half of the game - at least in my experience since I was severely underlevelled - enemies suddenly become infinitely stronger, at which point some of the terribly-designed encounters almost had me foaming at the mouth. Shoutout to one boss fight in particular in which a teleporting, AOE-spewing hag and her accomplice gangbang you inside of a tiny little room filled with unbreakable obstacles. The game also features a number of abilities that never come remotely close to making you feel like the all-powerful vampire that the story suggests. Most terrible of all, however, is the performance. Loading screens are almost all 40 seconds minimum, with some breaching 60 seconds (I started counting). I have to wonder how shoddy games like this will fare on the PS5. Will we only have to wait 10 seconds? Furthermore my game froze around 30 times throughout my ~20 hour playthrough. Trying to run past a group of 3+ enemies - which you will often want to do so as to skip the tedious combat - is pretty much a guaranteed freeze. Despite all of this, I still found a fair amount of enjoyment throughout it all. The story is legitimately intriguing and is what kept me from giving up after the first hour. The amalgamation of 20th century science, medicine, disease, warfare, and fanaticism, woven together with a conspiracy about hereditary vampirism spanning centuries genuinely had my brain whirring at times. Sadly the execution never realised its full potential, and I frequently found myself daydreaming about how excellent this game could have been. I did come to appreciate how underrepresented vampires (and werewolves!) are in gaming though. The core mechanic of choosing whether or not to devour those around you suffered a similar fate. If the writing had offered legitimate incentives and if the combat had been sufficiently difficult to warrant a desire for XP, Vampyr could have been something truly special. Unfortunately neither happened, and even the main protagonist (Dr. Reid) seemed unconvinced by his supposed allure for blood. I recall completely forgetting about the ‘dilemma’ for about half of the game, since Dr. Reid was clearly solely designed as a beacon of benevolence and had not even so much as mentioned his ‘hunger’ for many hours. Choosing to kill people simply for the sake of seeing what happened also revealed a sad lack of consequences and world development. Oh and ‘embracing’ your victims is a laughably disappointing event. Not much to say about the trophy list. It’s the generic kind, although I did enjoy having to chew 10 rats. Even if a far cry from what it could have been, Vampyr had enough good ideas to garner my interest in a sequel. If you are fairly forgiving when it comes to games, or if you have a fascination with the premise, then I would lightly recommend Vampyr. If not, you can still obtain the platinum in a single day thanks to @Optinooby’s astounding guide. Happy Halloween! ? Dead Island is a fun FPS game. Some friends of mine told me it was like Borderlands. Honestly I found it more similar to FarCry 2 for graphics and part of sound effects, at least the PS3 version. Apparently there is a method where you ''mess'' with your save state in order to save a lot of time, but that felt like cheating to me so I did it the old fashioned way? Popular Post DamagingRob
Platinum #493- Intruders: Hide and Seek The worst night of your life Get all the trophies. Probably the least scary game of my Halloween game marathon, but it was interesting. A seemingly peaceful night at home turns into a fight for survival, when three intruders break into your home. Do you have what it takes to save your parents and sister? Story does take some interesting and unexpected turns, and was probably the highlight. Gameplay is just sneaking past the intruders, and hiding in things. Simple enough and works. Played blind and went back for whatever collectibles I didn't find. Which led to a (kind of funny) game breaking bug. The garage door was open, and I could go outside. So, I did. And glitched through the ground, forcing me to exit and reselect the chapter again. Other than that, not much to say. It is fairly short, and I probably wouldn't have been thrilled paying $20 for it. But for the sale price of $4, it's worth a go. Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#325: I AM the Batman! So against all self-imposed odds, I managed to make this my Halloween platinum! And as my 325th platinum could also count as a mini-milestone! What is it with me and my fear of Batman games? I always have fun for the most part, and they always get done.... I dunno. What I do know is that this came the closest to being my absolute favorite one in the series, if not for.... the same problems almost everybody else had. Let's start with the story; it's yet another Batman x Joker jerkfest. Batman is a stupid jerk, making dumb decisions, refusing to let anyone help, making things worse again and again, and yet his Gary Stu status won't let him be wrong, giving the most dick-sucking Jesus-lite send offs I have ever seen for a character. The Joker on the other hand never shuts the hell up, constantly butting into the spotlight belonging to other characters, playing up the quasi forbidden lover angle for all it's worth, and just ruining every scene with his stupid face and annoying laughter. The actual narrative itself is nothing to write home about either. What's that, a poor man's retelling of the Red Hood story? ANOTHER damned reference to the Killing Joke?! Villains that are ALL interchangeable, thanks them having the same exact smug self-assurance on dealing with Batman???!! *sigh* GodzillaMendoza summed it up; whoever wrote the story didn't give a shit. Now the gameplay. Like the others, when it gets it right, it gets it right, and distracts from the other shortcoming easily; the combat is still fun, the challenge fair (for the most part). This game introduced Team-Ups, and these IMO should've been the main drawn of the game, instead of the Batmobile. Whenever you got together with a another character to kick ass, it was always a pleasure. It's such a kick in the pants that the majority of these instances are relegated to the shortest optional missions. Heck, you even have a fun Team Predator scenario, but you only do it once in the entire game! ONCE!! Why?! I also wanna mention that from an artistic perspective, this is EASILY my favorite open-world sandbox. I love the gothic design and inventive names and buildings in this world. It's a shame that same inventiveness and imagination wasn't present when you do go inside these buildings; nothing I can remember from the main campaign really stood out. All the really awesome levels came from the DLC, but I'll touch on that later. Let's state the obvious about the main thing I didn't like, the Bat-tank, and everything you do with it. The BatMOBILE is fun, racing around the city running over everyone you can and ejecting outta your seat like a bat outta hell is great. But the tank portions are the reason I will never play through the story again, and yes I am being serious. Awkward controls, sluggish movement, awful camera angles, and challenge based less on skillful enemy encounters and more on surviving waves and waves of shit being thrown at you. Saying its forced on you would be a correct statement, with so many key moments and fights being resolved with it, taking away any sort of personality you COULD get with a boss fight. So now I'll talk about the DLC, which to me was the highlight of the game. While present in all Story-based DLC, A Matter of Family (and a lesser extent Season of Infamy) is what I wished the main story had ALOT more of; fun locales including an Amusement Park (with its own hidden backstory ala the Asylum), snow-covered roads, toy stores and sunken ships, unique characters and predator tools, more team-up combat with two instances being boss fights eclipsing anything seen in the main campaign. Take any ONE of the things mentioned here, replace it with any of the tank battles and the game would've been SOOO much better off for it. Well, I may as well go through with my one-and-done plan for the series and put Arkham Origins on my list next. I hear lots of talks of how BS it can get times, so I guess I'll just manage with the fact that at least I won't be playing with the Bat-tank again, and the boss fights will at least be entertaining. And of course, this is the perfect trophy for the season! Happy Halloween! Edited October 31, 2020 by RedRodriguez87
Popular Post dieselmanchild
#173 - Blasphemous This is a very neat and stylish little metroidvania from developers The Game Kitchenwith a beautiful, eerie art style thta clearly draws a lot of inspiration from games like Dark Souls, classic Castlevania titles and perhaps even something like Silent Hill, being set amid the backdrop of deeply religious society. The game itself boasts an impressive supply of grotesque-looking creatures and bosses throughout the world, which is well designed. The map is incredibly fun to explore and the combat feels really great once you get the hang of it! I would highly recommend this one to any fans of metroidvanias, as well as anybody who loves the “Soulslike” genre and is always looking for a new challenge. This one really is a hidden gem and deserves a look! Edited October 31, 2020 by dieselmanchild
