Popular Post TraumaticChain6
#67: Astro Bot Rescue Mission Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Rarity: 15,17% I really recommend this game if you like platformers and have a VR headset. You play as a little robot that is trying to save his friends. You watch the robot from like a bird eye perspective. This perspective gave me some pain in my neck but that was in like brief moments. The worlds all look fantastic and are varied enough to not feel the same. Every level has kind of a gimmick, like spraying flowers to climb a bean stalk, revealing hidden parts with a searchlight,.... The worlds have also great music tracks. There was only one level I didn't like and that was the last level of world 5. The enemy placement in that level was just BS sometimes. The bosses are easy except for the last 2. But it feels really great to watch big bosses in VR before your eyes. You feel so small . Every level contains 8 robots to rescue and 1 chameleon to unlock challenge levels. In the challenge levels you can rescue two more robots based on your performance. The challenge levels are mostly easy, taking a couple of tries. But there is a challenge early on in the game were you need to be as fast as possible while using a hookshot. The hookshot is the worst thing in the game. It didn't go were I pointed to and trying to be quick with it was frustrating. But the hookshot is not used very often so that makes up for it. The challenges also contain doing every boss without getting hit. The last 2 bosses were so frustrating to do this. They take way to long and are not that fun to begin with. You can also collect coins. you can purchase a try in a grapple machine to collect toys. You can then navigate through the collected toys in the robots space ship. It's really charming. And the quality of the toys you unlock after you get them out of the machine is great. There is a lot of detail in them. But there is a lot of details in the game as well. The robots you need to rescue scream help in an adorable way, so you know that you are close to them. The chameleon also makes a noice but I found that out way later in the game. I really enjoyed this game and if they could bring one more Astro Bot game to the PS4 I would be really happy!

Rodow_
#105: Nexomon: Extinction Difficulty: 2/10 Fun: 9/10 As a Pokemon fan, I've really liked this game ! Easy, pleasant, the story was cool too and there's some touch of humour. Mostly, not too much grind for me, I was lucky ! I hope they will do a sequel in the future Edited November 1, 2020 by Rodow_
Popular Post JoaLoft
#236 - Project Cars 3 Two race game platinum trophies, back-to-back. It doesn't happen often, but considering Project Cars 3 came out around the same time that WRC 9 did, it was a matter of time before I'd get this one too. Again, there's just not very much to tell. You have a career mode, an online mode, you can compete in seasons and gain points to rise in ranks, you buy cars, you get better cars, you mod those and you try to complete as many objectives across all events as possible to unlock more difficult high-end events. The XP system is pivotal in this game though: you do not earn cash directly by winning miscellaneous events. Instead you level up by gaining XP through driving clean laps, winning, taking corners perfectly, and most importantly: completing objectives in every event. Every time you fill up your XP bar completely and gain a sublevel, you get a set amount of currency. And every time you rise a full level, that defined prize money goes up with a few thousand credits. I don't remember specific amounts but let's say each main level has ten sublevels and you enter level 15 and you get 20.000 credits per sublevel. That would mean that every time you rise a sublevel (or fill up your XP bar entirely) in level 15, you'll get 20.000 credits. If you complete your tenth sublevel, you'll level up to level 16, with ten new sublevels which will now reward you each with 22.000 credits. That's the gist of it. So it pretty much comes down to: racing clean races, win them, and complete as many objectives as possible to get the maximum amount of XP each time, and reap the benefits (currency) quickly to buy more cars which you'll need to compete in higher classes. Most frustrating trophy - Overcome Your Rivals "Overcome Your RIvals" requires you to compete in a Rivals season and gain 300 points or more by the time the season ends. A season lasts about a month, and getting those 300 credits by competing in timed daily, weekly and monthly events is actually a piece of cake. It's the waiting that's annoying. You can only cash in on those points (and the trophy) when the season ends. Today's November 1st, so the second season concluded this morning, and I was finally able to make this last trophy pop. Everything else can me combined to save time, so this is a relatively easy trophy list too. Another race game to put out to pasture, and now on to something substantially more narrative for my next platinum trophy!

ShawrySkillz
I Am Bread Platinum Trophy I didn’t know this was a hard platinum until my friend said that it was ‘one of the hardest platinums on PS4’. And I didn’t think it was true until I had to A++ every level. What surprised me was the amount of ‘0.1% earned’ trophies there were, and for good reason. Once I got it, my friend said only 142 others had it, so I guess I can join them. Difficulty: 8-9/10 The hardest trophy was probably A++ all rampage levels, or A++ all cheese hunt levels. Mainly because cheese hunt was only tedious instead of hard, but rampage had really buggy controls and just didn’t work half of the time. Fun: 7/10, lowering at the end. Its only my 10th platinum, so I’m kind of new to trophy hunting, but I think with this in the bag, I can start going for more

Popular Post Boomshanks
( 58) Jak 2 (PS3) Done Done Done Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 5/10 This was actually the first Jak game I ever played and probably one of the first games I ever had on the PS2. Since I didn’t have a lot of games back then, this one became a pretty big part of my gaming childhood and I used to play it with friends all the time. It has always stayed my favorite of the Jak series because of the cool story and missions and the darker tone, though playing it again when older I do see why people are critical of it. The checkpoints are indeed horrendous, no two ways about it. A lot of times, when you die in a mission you’re placed all the way back to the beginning. And the game is very unforgiving so it’s easy to die – especially on the later missions. The sewer escort mission is very difficult, though I had the most problems with the 40 flying dudes on the rails sections when destroying the ship. That actually ended my Hero Mode run back on the PS2 ⚰️. Again though, when playing it now, the nostalgia goggles came back on and I loved going through the story. I didn’t really mind the bad checkpoints as much and was able to complete most missions within the first few tries. I like the GTA feel of the game although there is very little to do in the world. Mostly I just like the characters and the slow unraveling of secrets in the story. The banter between Pecker and Daxter is just always hilarious to me. When I was younger I think I got stuck on the Hellcats mission for about a month so I was absolutely dreading it now. But then I got it first try because I didn’t stay in my vehicle when it went down and instead just hopped in a new one. Apparently young me never thought about that possibility when playing the game ?. The trophies are very straightforward. You complete the game, collect all Skull Gems and all Precursor Orbs. I collected a lot of precursor orbs and then just switched to collecting one orb over and over again until the plat, because I couldn’t be arsed to do all of the races and gun courses. Maybe if I ever do it on the PS4 I’ll try to do it legit. So yeah, loved the game and played it to death when I was younger and still absolutely love it now, though I can definitely see why not everybody is a fan. I'll probably start Jak 3 on the PS3 soon to finish of the collection.
Omelette Paradise
#412 - Family Mysteries 2: Echoes of Tomorrow Up to date with a full set of Artifex Mundi platinums for the first time in a while. The hidden object puzzles were a bit more complex in this one with a lot of the items requiring multiple steps to pick up. The story was somewhat interesting but I preferred the first Family Mysteries game in that respect. Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10
Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #71 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Difficulty Rating 6/10 Enjoyment Rating 9/10 Very Rare - 8.15% Out of all the PS3 games I can think of, this is probably the one I put the most hours into. Not from this one platinum journey, I mean in general over the past decade. I’ve been constantly playing split screen multiplayer with friends. We were so hardcore that we would always tape cardboard dividers to the TV so no screen looking would take place. Yeah, we couldn’t afford to LAN ? Soo many hours in split screen multiplayer, it was unreal ? And this was long before I even owned a PS3. I did however play a lot on Xbox 360 back in the day as well, adding even more hours I’ve put into MW2. Yes, this was back when Call of Duty was at its peak. I’m sure those who have been around long enough would agree with me. MW2 was the golden age of CoD before the lootboxes and woke identity politics that we have today. So it was nice to revisit this title and remember how great the first person shooter franchise used to be. Next to Tekken 6, I often see MW2 being that first platinum for a lot of people. It really goes to show how far back this game goes when the trophy system was first implemented. As one of the top 5 most played PS3 games, a lot of players should know what the platinum journey already entails. Beating campaign on Veteran difficulty and earn all 69 stars in Spec Ops. There are a few miscellaneous trophies here and there, but the real challenge comes from getting all the stars in Spec Ops. It would be extremely difficult to do so by yourself, so a co-op partner is most needed for the task. You can find someone online (assuming the servers will remain online) or you can get a local friend to help you in split screen. I ended up going the split screen route, cause you can’t rely on those servers too much. I heard that meeting up with certain players will auto-pop all your trophies, and we can’t have that. If you can get a trustworthy partner to help you with the Spec Ops, the rest of this platinum journey is pretty simple. A local friend of mine worked with me for an entire evening and we earned 66 out of 69 stars in Spec Ops. I ended up having to do the mission “Wetwork” on Veteran by myself the next day. The night before, we got to the top floor multiple times, but we messed up the final hostage room multiple times due to sleep deprivation. Hard to see and decipher who’s a hostage and who’s a terrorist. I ended up studying this video until I was uber enough to finish it on my own. I believe my record was 1:18 for that mission, and the great thing was that the map was so loaded with enemies that when I breached the final hostage room, the terrorists didn’t load (as seen in the video) so instant hostage rescue ? I’m amazed I was able to pull it off with enough practice, but I had my fun. Glad to have this platinum now ? Hurrah!
Popular Post Desmuria
Welp, I've once again forgotten to post my updates on here. Please forgive the long post. I've been very busy. #334 - Arcade Spirits Arcade Legend Collect all the trophies. Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 After the underwhelming experience I had with Roommates, I actually enjoyed Arcade Spirits a lot more. The choices and dialogue did get repetitive and boring pretty fast, though. It's a good read and there are a lot of potential endings to see. Recommended for visual novel lovers, for sure. #335 - The Secret Order: Return to the Buried Kingdom Platinum Unlock every Trophy. Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I do love a good Artifex Mundi game and this one was long overdue. They usually release a game every month, but they skipped a month (for some reason). I've said before in my reviews of these games that I prefer the fantasy storylines and The Secret Order didn't disappoint. Highly recommend any of the Artifex Mundi games if you enjoy puzzles and hidden object scenes. #336 - Sushi Break Sushi Break master Collected all the trophies in the game. Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I've played a lot of games that are basically carbon copies of Sushi Break (just with new names/skins), see below. These games are enjoyable but can get a little frustrating when it comes to the random power-up drops. You need to double up on some of them and they only last for a limited amount of time. Completely easy and doable, as long as you have patience. #337 & #338 - Swordbreaker Swordbreaker The Game Platinum Good job! Completed all tasks! Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 1/10 Following a guide for this one is highly recommended as it's a dead easy visual novel. All you need to do is select options 1 or 2 (and sometimes 3, 4 and 5) to move scenes. Glad they released a PS Vita version, but gutted it wasn't a crossby deal. #339 - Donut Break Donut Break master Collected all the trophies in the game. Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 See above, review of Sushi Break. This is pretty much the same game and very similar trophy list. #340 - Sushi Break Head to Head Sushi Break master Collected all the trophies in the game. Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 See above, review of Sushi Break. This is pretty much the same game and very similar trophy list. The only difference with this one is that you need a second controller to earn one co-op trophy. #341 - Birthday of Midnight Platinum Midnight Get all other trophies. Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 After having played 36 Fragments of Midnight and Midnight Deluxe, this one was a lot easier. It's basically just like Angry Birds where you have to aim and shoot your little glowing character around different maps. As before, you need to avoid traps, spikes and flames to get to the exit of the levels. Relatively simple stuff. #342 - Feather Thanks for Playing Thank you for taking the time to play Feather Enjoyment: 4/10 Difficulty: 1/10 I think my cat enjoyed this game more than I did. She got super excited seeing a bird flapping around on the TV, she tried to catch it. This game is super boring to play, especially in comparison to similar games like Aer. However, the graphics are lush and it's short and sweet. The platinum is pretty quick to unlock and doesn't require a lot of effort. #343 - Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments Perfectionist Collect all possible in-game trophies. Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 After the original release of this game was removed from the store, I breathed a sigh of relief that I played it back in 2017. To my surprise, I was delighted to see that not only did they put the game back on the PS Store, but it had a brand new trophy list. The trophies are the same as before and there's no additonal content. It's just a pure re-release that they tried to charge the Earth for. I snagged this in a sale and enjoyed playing this again. Recommended if you enjoy detective work/puzzle solving. #344 - Halloween Candy Break Halloween Candy Break master Collected all the trophies in the game. Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 See above, review of Sushi Break. This is pretty much the same game and very similar trophy list. #345 - Cinders Happily Ever After Gather all other Cinders trophies Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I love Disney and fairytales, so as soon as I saw Cinders: I KNEW I had to play it. The game is another visual novel that loosely follows the story of Cinderella. You can collect trinkets that get added to your main menu as you unlock different endings, which I thought was a nice touch. All in all, highly recommended. I enjoyed the story and I thought that the endings were different enough to keep me interested. #346 - Reflection of Mine Platinum Reflection Get all other trophies. Enjoyment: 3/10 Difficulty: 3/10 (with guide), 9/10 (without guide) God, this game is bloody awful. Be warned: the sound effects are VERY LOUD. It's all screeches and screaming and it's not very pleasant to play with the volume on. The puzzles get increasingly harder to the point where a guide is most definitely needed to complete this. I wish I hadn't paid what I did for this game. If you want something similar to this, check out Warlock's Tower instead. #347 - The Language of Love Love Platinum Get all other trophies. Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 0/10 This is definitely the easiest and quickest platinum of 2020 so far. I gave that honour to A Winter's Daydream in a previous post, but this can be completed in less than 5 minutes. You don't have to do anything. Just adjust the settings, skip and watch the trophies pop. #348 - Lord of the Click Under my thumb Сollect all trophies Enjoyment: 4/10 Difficulty: 1/10 This game is seriously dull and I hated it. One of the trophies requires you to click 7,777 times and I'm lucky I didn't get repetitive strain injury doing it. You can tap different buttons on the controller, so each indiviual click counts, which makes it somewhat faster. Make sure you earn the click trophies before you automate everything or you'll just make it harder on yourself. Not recommended unless you're trophy hunting. #349 - The House in Fata Morgana Fata Morgana Earned all trophies. Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Oh boy, I absolutely loved playing this VN. I actually got a digital copy of The House in Fata Morgana for free off an extremely kind owner of a company. I'd been dying to play it for a while now and i wasn't disappointed. The art style is awesome and the story is suitably eerie. Trying to get ahold of a copy of this (outside of Japan) is extremely rare, so it was an absolute honour to play. MILESTONE I'm incredibly proud of the fact that I've managed to reach #349 platinums and I'm working on my milestone plat right now. I've chosen to play Ghost of Tsushima and I'm loving it so far. I have Assasin's Creed Valhalla on preorder and I hope to make that platinum #400. My backlog is big enough to ensure I get to #399 fairly quickly, so wish me luck. Once again, sorry for the long post. I'm really proud of my achievements and I wanted to share. Edited November 17, 2020 by Desmuria
Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
Just Cause 3 (#500) "King of Medici" Dabbled in this game back in 2017, right after it was included with PS+. It was overwhelming with its mechanics and sheer size. Opening the map and realizing the area you land is actually just a small piece of the huge map was far too daunting. After a couple of missions, I dropped it. Now a bit more than 3 years later, I finally sat down and committed to get this one done. Once I settled in, I was reminded of the beautiful and colorful the backdrop for this story , the varied traversal and combat, and, again, the enormous size of the world. Rico is a good protagonist. Probably one of my favorites for an open world game. The story is fine and so are the other characters. The colorful and bright island setting really is a great contrast to most games of this type. It feels like everything is dark or post-apocalyptic. Everyone was playing Mad Max due to it shuttering its online components, but this game felt so much more attractive to play. The guns, cars, helicopters, upgrades, etc etc, felt endless. As did, the challenges and collectibles. Truly, the bloated nature of the filler content here was the only drawback. The developers seemed to have been enamored by some of the challenges they created, so they made the world huge to fit them all. 112 challenges, 300+ collectables, 100+ bases to liberate. It was just way too much. Maybe half the size would have been ideal. The DLC is pretty cool. Such a shame that some of the upgrades and new mechanics were saved for the DLC. I would have really made use of the Wingsuit Engine/rockets/minigun throughout the entire game. Also the mech-suit was pretty fun and the Loochador was also a bad ass boat. These should have been part of the main game for sure. Would have been even more fun. Overall, really enjoyed this game. It was just way too long. Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #100 Ghost of Tsushima Ghost of Tsushima is probably the last PS4 exclusive (at least made "by Sony"). And it didnt disappoint. Many people understimate the artistic potential of games. Ghost of Tsushima does many things right, but to me, the artistic value of this game is its strongest point. From the way the tales are introduced, to standoffs, ghost mode, the cutscenes, the intro to duels, everything resemble a movie. The soundtrack is sublime, the characters are very realistic and well written, and the story, despite all the suffering, deaths, revenges, savagery, brutality, is as beautiful. The Haiku parts were amazing as well. A very mature story that isnt worried in being dark and heavy. Graphically this game is also amazing. I know nothing about the real Tsushima, but the one in this game is extremely beautiful. It was breathtaking at the first moment that I laid my eyes on it, and it was the same until my last moments on the game. Be it during morning, afternoon, sunset, twilight, night, snow, rain, forests, plains, mountains, beaches, no matter, everything is very well done. The PS4 has come a long way, and many games feature impressive graphics. This might be recency bias, but to me this game has the most impressive graphics of this generation. Better than Horizon, FFXV and God of War, the games that previously impressed me. The gameplay is also very good. It is fast, requires quick thinking, features many subweapons and have stances that work effectively on each type of enemy. The stealth component is also very well done. I have taking a liking to feeling challenged recently, and since the gameplay reminded me of Sekiro, I played on hard. It is far from insanely hard, but if you're not careful with blocking / parrying and using the right stances, you will find yourself in trouble, because with 3 or 4 hits you will be killed, even with a large health pool and major damage reduction. Sometimes, specially during fights with many enemies and the later fights, I was forced to use ghost weapons. Kunais and Black Powder Bombs were my best friends. If you played any inFamous game before, you will notice that this tropht list is very similar. I just wish they added trophies to play the game on Kurosawa mode, Hard and to get 100% of collectibles. It always bother me when games doesnt use the trophy system to incentive the players to explore everything the game has to offer. I dont know if Ghost of Tsushima will be remembered among the bests of all time, but certainly is among the best of the last 15 years. And I think this game has something more special than the others, because it will not only be remembered because of its great gameplay beautiful graphics and/or a great protagonist, but because it has all of this, and is also a fine work of art. It was an honor to make this my hundredth platinum.

Popular Post ZitMeatloaf
#62 - Final Fantasy VII "Gaia's Guardian" After finishing and loving FFVII Remake, I wanted to play the original game again (it had been a couple of decades since I'd played all the way through it. Yes, I'm old). Playing this right after the remake was fun because it allowed me to pick up on hints I know I would have missed the first time around. It was also impressive seeing all the small details from the original that they included in the remake (I forgot that Johnny was even a character in the original). I also enjoyed comparing the music between the two games. So how does it hold up after all these years? The story and gameplay are still fantastic. The visuals, not so much. The original game is product of its time, when polygons were the awesome new technological fad. The visuals have not aged as well as older 8-bit and 16-bit graphics - there's a reason you don't see indie developers making retro-style games that look like FFVII. But as with any game, it's not the graphics that make or break the experience, and this game is still great.
