Guest
Spider-Man: Miles Morales Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 3/10 A hell of a launch title. Pros: -Absolutely gorgeous, world and characters included -Tremendously told story -Combat is still very fun, and the new powers are awesome -Collectibles are actually fun to collect, which is a rarity in open world games -Trophies are all straightforward and fun to do Cons: -The story itself is quite short for a $50 or $70, even if I consider its quality high, but I understand they had to hike the price up to make up for their losses on making the consoles as cheap as possible. -Some of the side missions are a bit blah Overall, had a absolute blast and it was such a good game to have as a launch title. Adored the first game, and I adored this one. Cannot wait for a full sequel.
Jelly Soup
#135 - Halloween Forever So, I ended up getting this game because the creator used to write a webcomic I enjoyed years ago, Imaginary Monsters. Seems he stopped updating the comic because he started working on this. It's really good and can be pretty challenging at parts. And it's also amazingly adorable. If you like straightforward Mega Man type games, I'd highly recommend trying this.

Popular Post Yoey_666
#383 - GTA V I started to play this game more than five years ago but after finishing all online achievements I got kinda burned out of it. Now with the PS5 standing right before the door, I thought it would be a good time to finish it off. Awesome game, enjoyed my time.

Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #101 Bayonetta (PS4) The years come and go, and with each one many remasters arrive to the Playstation 4. Each time a new one was announced, I would always ask myself the same question: "when will the Bayonetta remaster come?". This game was one of my best experiences on the PS3, and also one of my first platinums. Now after 7 years and almost 100 platinum trophies later, it was finally the time for me to revisit this classic. The game is still as charming as it was the first time I played. Bayonetta is a great lead, the comedy on the cutscenes is on point, the combat system is very good and the OST is phenomenal. For a game of this style there is also a good number of extra content on the form of challenges, the Alfheim Portals, and a great variety of weapons. And with this remaster we dont have to deal with the pesky fps drops that occurred on the previous generation. The only bad points are the graphics and the camera. It's far from the most beautiful game graphically speaking, but the remaster looks good enough to me. I just wish the game was a bit more colourful. It's not a matter of being a game with heavy, dark colors, but they are too dull. Sometimes I wished it was more lively. And the camera angle is horrible. Sometimes I would fight the camera as much as the enemy. But those two things are very small when compared to what Bayonetta does right. The trophies are very straightforward and without mystery. Just find every Antonio's Notes (almost always on plain sight), Witch's Resting Places (they are not very well hidden, but you can always use a video guide) and the Alfheim Portals (hard to find. Most of them are not too hard, but some can take some time, especially the ones related to torture attacks). You will also need to clear the game on Hard and Non Stop Infinity Climax. If you know what you're doing Infinity Climax shouldnt be as hard as other games very hard mode, even though you are stripped off the very useful Witch Time. If you have not played Bayonetta the first time around dont miss this opportunity now. To me it was one of the best games of the genre from last generation. Recent releases like DMC5, Sekiro and Ghost of Tsushima really raised the bar for the action adventure genre, but Bayonetta still holds its on just fine. And if the combat is not enough, you will find plenty of enjoyment on the protagonist and the cutscenes. if you seek a challenge this title might provide you with one as well. It's just a shame that we will probably never get to play Bayonetta 2 on Playstation. What a shame.
Popular Post Darghel
#87 The Platinum Prinny (Trinity Universe) Difficulty: Extremely Grindy Time to Complete: No timer is displayed, but in total, I'd say a good 100 hours (took me 10 years though) Recommended: No, it's not that great Total Score: 4/10 (Trophies) - 7/10 (the game itself) Ahhh, Trinity Universe, I remember the first time I bought this game: back then jrpgs on ps3 were few and not that great, and this game caught my attention due to the fact that it had cute characters, the trademarks of Gust, Nisa and IF, and the fact that it was a jrpg that I desperately need! It's a shame that this game is now a relic of a time where these 3 companies worked together so closely: remember neptunia 1 where you had Nisa, Gust, and then the other big trademarked girls? Yeah, this was a crossover that back then I found to be great, with Disgaea Characters, Atelier characters, and of course your original characters, but due to today's circumstances, I doubt this game would be even remade (unless they heavily reworked everything, and of course removed the trademarked characters...) Anyway, off with the backstory: Trinity Universe could be a sort of Neptunia Prototype, since it came out a year after this one and a lot of mechanics from neptunia are back into this game .like exploring dungeons, or having different floaty islands, and the search mechanics as well as the combo mechanic, with the exception that Neptunia made it all worse for some reason, like less characters, less micromanagement and just...less. Not saying Neptunia 1 was bad (i did platinum it and it was my very first), but beyond the humor and some funny lines I felt that Neptunia 1, as a GAME, felt weaker than TU. But I still think OG Neptunia is a funnier game than the remake at least! For its time, I think this game was massive: 13 whole characters to use, split between 2 stories (both required), a lot of crafting and a lot of customization (managraphics, meteorites, and various types of armors), combos to use and mix and mash, a system that was so underutilized in Neptune imho, and free level 999 cap (unlike Neptunia, which was behind dlc)! So in a sense this game is the true neptunia game, except you don't have only girls! As for the story....eeeh...let's just say it's there, it's nothing spectacular: you're really in for the fanservice for the most part. Still, since we're talking about trophies and not about the game itself, let me be perfectly honest here: if my younger self didn't leave a save file with me going to the true ending, and literally where I had to kill the true final boss, I wouldn't probably have bothered: the game is long to complete, takes 2 complete playthroughs to get to the true end (there are some ng+ features but the second playthrough is with the group you didn't play) and there's a LOT OF GRINDING! Grinding 1 million points by gaining 3000 points each time...yeah that wasn't fun, as well as having to drift 100 planets (which is random) as well as having yourself being drifted (which tanked your point grind), and then the 1000 hit fury chain which is impossible to do on any boss...except the true final boss, AND EVEN THEN I had to downgrade myself in order to NOT kill it. I wouldn't say I hadn't fun, I did, it's a treasured game for me, and it IS a fun game, but in terms of platinum I really wouldn't recommend it: it's not the worst and most grindy trophy I ever did, but it's one of those that definitely takes a while and might not be fun to do it. Infact 10 years ago I wouldn't even THINK about doing this platinum! It took me 10 years to get ready for this. Bottom line, it's a fun game, unfortunately rare because it can't be purchased anymore on the store and I'm assuming copies are rare, but if you happen to find it, I suggest to check it out...but if you plan to platinum it, good luck...make sure to bring a book or something, as I probably watched hours and hours of videos in order to get this one done...hey at least I learned how people pooped in medieval times! Fun in multiplayer, unfortunately no one played the multiplayer online. Adorable characters. The platinum was fairly easy but the 50 challenges trophy can be tricky. Popular Post TazDevilz1986
It's been a while since i posted. Here are the plats i got: Sea Of The Solitude (US) #453 This is a really good game, even for the stack. I enjoyed it for the second time overall! Mad Max #454 I had to get this done, no mather what! It was actually one of the best games i've played this year! I love the screenshot tho! No way i wanted to miss out on this game before the server shutdown. But i'm glad i did go for this one! Mafia Definitive Edition #455 I had a great time with this one as well. I totally recommend it. It's a fun platinum and has a good story line! It's one of those games that will stick into your mind for a while. Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 Grand Prix #456 A LOT BETTER THAN THE FIRST GAME! Way more characters, and also had a good time with it as well. Actually the platinum wasn't really that easy, so i had to actually push myself through Insane Mode as you need to win 4 races in a row without losing in each cup. So it's just luck based. And with the right setup it's doable imo. Also i used 4 controllers in splitscreen to make this a bit easier, so the AI doesn't spam you that much with items. I actually did put my settings to English for this one. Because i like to hear the original voice acting from those characters, and don't wanna hear Dutch crap. That's why ''Trofee Gewonnen'' is now on ''Trophy Earned'' because of the English settings on my system. MINDJACK (PS3) #457 Oh boi. One of those meme games for the PS3, i actually do like them from time to time. And thankfully the boost was really awesome organised for this one and i had the online trophies very quikly. So i wanna thank everyone that boosted with me. WRC 9 #458 This was actually a pretty damn good WRC game far better and more improvement than the other ones. I'm deffo doing the PS5 version soon. I have to get back to WRC 7 and WRC 8, but i only did the online trophies in them, so i actually jumped from WRC 6 straight to 9 if you see it that way. But it was maybe better if i finished WRC 7 and 8 first and than do this one, but i will get back to them at some point sometime soon. Speed 3: Grand Prix #459 This was actually a very bad racing game but at the same time stupid funny, it was on my wishlist for a long time on the preorder list. So i was kinda late to get first achiever world wide, as WRC 9 was still in the way. But i did got second place, i was pretty close to first. Better luck next time with another title in the future . Monster Truck Championship #460 Another racing game, but this time they are back with another Monster game, i think it was actually fun also to go for the platinum. I like those games in general, if you gonna play this one, make sure to start on Extreme difficulty right away. Otherwise you have to do another playtrough, because you do lose all your upgrades and such. My Name Is Mayo 2 #461 Oh damn i didn't expect this one today. One of the better meme games of all time lol! I was suprised it was up in the store, so i got really hyped and purchased it and jumped on it right away.. Popular Post coldhardcrash_
#46 Yooka-Laylee Okay, I'm an absolute sucker when it comes to platformers and collectathons, so when I saw Yooka-Laylee on sale early this year and watched some gameplay of it, I thought it would be right up my alley and would love it to bits. A mere 2 hours in, I was bored and it just didn't click with me. It then sat there in my backlog of games I'd eventually get back to some time or other, until I decided I'd give it a second chance about a week ago and go for the Platinum. Had it not been rotting in my trophy list at 4% for over 10 months, I wouldn't have touched this game with a ten foot pole had I known what I signed up for. This game had so much potential to be great but for every one thing it did right, it did two things wrong. I'll start with the good: The good: Goofy character designs Character interactions - lots of banter and crude humour Level design. The way that you can walk on almost anything if it is accessible is a big plus. Gorgeous cartoony scenery (just look at that screenshot!) Most Pagie challenges that don't involve a mini-game The music. One of the highlights of this game. The horrible: The camera. Dear God, the camera is awful. Regardless of whether you set it to Classic (Automatic) or Manual, it finds one way or another to mess up at the most inappropriate times. I lost count the amount of times I failed a challenge because of the camera messing me up. The clunky controls. For the most part, Yooka's base moves aren't too bad when it comes to responsiveness and tightness but the abilities that you unlock throughout the game are anything but. Particularly the Reptile Rush power up (Roll + square) and the Flight power up, which you will need for the final boss fight against Capital B. Which leads onto the next point... The boss fights. Not too bad for the most part but the final boss fight against Capital B is a mix of an unnecessarily long fight paired with horrible mechanics (hitting him with the projectiles in the second phase and dodging the missiles in the final phase) and who can forget the extremely drawn out boss fight in the Casino level against I.N.E.P.T. whilst riding the mine cart. An absolute shit show of terrible mechanics. Speaking of the mine cart... The mine cart and most of Rextro's Arcade mini games. The controls for all of these segments are abysmal. Some of the worst that I have encountered in any platformer. I'm convinced the Arcade mini game in the Casino world was either not play-tested or forgotten in early development because of how bad it is. The unnecessary collectibles. You can kind of excuse the Ghost Writers since collecting all five in each world rewards you with a Pagie, but what's the point of the Secret Pirate Treasures? They serve no purpose at all, aren't mentioned anywhere in the game from what I can remember and aren't even listed in the total collectible count screen. Considering there's only one per world (and are all very well hidden), you'd be forgiven for not knowing they exist had it not been for the three Silver trophies tied to collecting them. The lack of fast travel in the Hivory Towers hub world. Considering there is a fair bit of back tracking after unlocking new abilities, a fast travel option in the hub is essential. The artificial difficulty because of the poor mechanics. I love a good challenge but when the poorly designed mechanics are the reason for the spike in difficulty, then that is simply not enjoyable. From a presentation stand-point, this game is excellent for the aesthetic it is going for. The poor mechanics and camera are two main Achilles heels which detract it from being a fun and enjoyable game, which is very disappointing. At least I got a cool Platinum screenshot out of it. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 3/10 PSN Rarity: 4.4% PSNP Rarity: 20.04% Time to Platinum: 27 hours

Popular Post ZitMeatloaf
#63 - Return of the Obra Dinn "Platinum" I really thought I'd like this game more. Unfortunately it was a meh experience for me. I'd seen how this game had received tons of acclaim for its art style, story, and gameplay. I watched a few short clips from people who loved the game, thought "Yeah, that looks kind of neat" and added it to my wishlist. It was never a top priority game that I was dying to play, so I was willing to wait it out until the game went on sale. It sat on my list for a full year and I was wondering if the game would ever go on sale. Then I saw for 40% off on the store and pulled the trigger, but after playing it I wish I hadn't. This is one of those games where I can recognize the quality of the game, and I can see why so many others would praise the game, but for me it just wasn't that great. I don't dislike the game, but I'd rather have spent my time and money playing something else. I'm glad I at least got this game on sale, but I wish I'd spent more time researching the game before buying it. A general consensus from critics and other gamers that a game is great doesn't mean it's the right game for you. I should have spent a bit more time researching this one from the perspective of my own tastes. Lesson (hopefully) learned, onto the next one!
Popular Post Cleggworth
Platinum #292 Lego Star Wars TFA (PS3) The last of my backlog of Lego games on PS3 and very likely to be my final platinum on the PS3. Not a lot to say, not the best lego game, not the worst. I'd say skip it and play the Skywalker Saga whenever that shows up. Lot of pointless extra stuff added to bump it up as it only covers 1 film. Platinum #293 Ni No Kuni II Revenant Kingdom None of the charm of the original which I loved. Just lacked something, not sure what but its a shame. Played for 10-15 hours and put it down for a few months. Didn't care for the story at all and skipped almost everything. Despite that utterly glowing review I actually really enjoyed playing it. I enjoyed the kingdom making aspect of it and the skirmishes, the combat is very simplistic but feels good and the art style is really nice. The colour really pops. Nice change from the dingy stuff I've played recently I've not played a JRPG in a while and there's something satisfying about the plodding inevitably of working towards the platinum. Platinum #294 Call of Duty Modern Warfare As far as the game goes it was pretty nice. Looks great, plays great. I like Call of Duty Campaigns, I wish they were all like this tbh. Never enjoyed all the zombie nonsense. Veteran mode was the only thing remotely troubling but its trivial compared to previous entries. There's a spec ops mode trophy but meh… I couldn't be arsed. The experience outside of the game was pretty mind-boggling though. Massively bloated with all the MP updates. The campaign isn't even on the disc which you don't realise til you hit start. Also had a bizzare situation where it wouldn't let me play the SP campaign because the servers were down….. ?♂️ Platinum #295 Metro Exodus Not a fan. It was fine but I much preferred the linear experience of the first two games. I see what they were doing with the surface and the open world but it just lost what made the series interesting to me. The Platinum was significantly easier than the others as its less harsh about being spotted or killing people with it only being needed on individual levels rather than the whole game. The DLC was as average as it gets which is a theme with the series There was one overwhelming negative with it though, loadscreens. Longest I've ever experienced. Crazy long. If you play this, play it on a PS5. You'd cut your playthrough in half. Platinum #296 Control Really enjoyed this. The setting is great, kinda creepy and mysterious. Combat and traversal feels great. Powers were fun to use. It did feel very similar to infamous though and Dead Space actually when you are throwing stuff at people. Platinum is super easy if you bung the cheats on like I did. DLC is more of the same which in this instance was good Platinum #297 Darksiders Genesis Had a blast with this as I played it with my wife and we've not done that in a while. I've not played the series at all but it didn't matter as its a completely different genre, top down Diablo "lite" but I picked up the mainline games after playing this. Its more simplistic than Diablo but runs pretty nicely, no stuttering at all which is rare for this kinda thing because its bedlam on screen at points. Trophies were pretty simple, Apocalyptic difficulty was a breeze with fully upgraded characters but it was the couch co op that made the game for me. Not enough of those anymore. No trophies for P2 though! Platinum #298 We Happy Few Easily the worst game I've played in a while. Really interesting premise, the population is drugged on Joy because they live in a shithole after the war basically and they need to forget all the crap they've done. Its used to good effect in the 1st 10mins then its just relegated to a really awful game mechanic that just drags the game down. You are supposed to be "free" of joy but most NPCs get pissed off at you if you aren't on it and rain down bobbies on you to beat the shit out of you. Same goes for running, jumping anything really. You can get perks to get around that and just when you can get on with it you finish the act and you start with another character who can't do anything again only this time you have a baby to look after?? After that you're a guy that's a diabetic and you need to craft sugar syringes all the time. It just sucks out any enjoyment from it. The world is incredibly bland outside main mission locations, i suspect due to procedurally generated thing they've got going on. This makes no sense because a new one is generated between acts so places you've been loads of times are now in different places. So its confusing most of the time as well as irritating. Overall it went from an interesting looking, darkly comic Bioshock vibe experience to something that was just a complete chore to get through. DLC was passable, kinda like a turd rolled in glitter is technically better but….. not really Platinum #299 Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice Confusing this one, saw a lot of love for it, a LOT but I just didn't feel it all. It was alright but it wasn't the life changing experience some people made it sound. Was a helpful palate cleanser between sessions on Red Dead Redemption 2 but that was about it, disappointing. Platinum #300 Mafia Love the series but never played this so was pretty chuffed with news of the remake. Had in the list to play and 300 was approaching so thought why not. Was pretty cool to finally see the other side of "Mr Salieri sends his regards" Very very good but there were a few too many issues for it to be great. The combat felt a bit heavy. You couldn't move freely and you'd get stuck to surfaces quite a lot or for whatever reason you couldn't cover fire from certain objects. It also has my absolute pet hate in games, more of a fault of classic difficulty i suspect but that's being a trophy hunter isn't it, enemies that don't care if they die. The guy with the shotgun that just walks right up to you will get you everytime. Trophies were all pretty simple. Classic difficulty was easier than I remember the hardest difficulty of Mafia II being but there was still some tricky sections. The race is the most common one but I got that done reasonably quickly, you can cut the grass quite a bit at the beginning and get a helpful lead. There were a few combat sections where the checkpoint was really long, or there were no health points and there was one particular section where there was literally no cover so you had to run and gun which on classic is a no go so that was total luck really. Generally though I really liked this game, I love the era and the city looks really nice, provided you don't look too closely. I quite like the Mafia model of a linear game set within an open world city actually. There's no random crimes to do or clothes to buy. The city only exists to drive through and find collectibles in. So yeah pretty pleased with the milestone, don't get them often anymore. Platinum #301 Final Fantasy VII Unpopular gaming opinion alert. I don't like this game, never have. Played it way back when on the PS1 and never finished it. Tried to give it another go now and I still couldn't get into it. Persisted with it for the Plat so I'm still on track for all main entry Final Fantasy games platted but yeah, maybe the remake will be better Thank God for triple speed and God mode that's all I can say
Popular Post Angel
Platinum #153 Arc of Alchemist This is by far the worst game I have played this year (hopefully I can go for a better game's platinum as I don't want to end the year with this game ?). This game had horrible frame rate issues, dull world environments, boring two button gameplay, forgettable characters and story. I really tried enjoying this but the more I played it, the more it felt like a chore and saw how unpolished it was. I really love Compile Heart games as they are my guilty pleasure but this game was such a disappointment. Platinum wise, it is a very easy and straight forward platinum as that was the only reason why I decided to just finish the game. I definitely would not recommend this game, even in a sale which I bought it from. Thank you for your time as always and wishing you my best on your next platinum. Take great care out there! ?

Popular Post JoaLoft
#238 - The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope I do like a good horror game. In fact, I love it! A shame I haven't been able to get around to trying Amnesia: Rebirth, but thankfully I was able to check out The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope, the second horror game in the series. After Man of Medan, I was cautiously optimistic, if they were able to improve the narrative side of things. And luckily, they did. Little Hope centers around a professor and his four students ending up at the little town in Massachusetts, late at night, after a bus crash. As they go looking for help, they notice a thick layer of fog is stopping them from leaving. And the deeper they venture towards the town center, they find strange warnings and experience scary visions of the 1600s when the Witch Trials threw Little Hope into turmoil. Not just that: dangerous demons appear and close in on the five protagonists, hunting them down mercilessly. Can you make it through the night and keep everyone alive? And perhaps also unravel the mystery that surrounds the ghost town? Let's get one thing straight: the story of Little Hope contains a big twist near the end. But an even bigger one, if you were able to collect all the collectables and connect the dots. I've written an analysis about this, so feel free to check it out here. it is full of spoilers, so open the link at your own risk. So, this story is considerably better than Man of Medan's and definitely includes supernatural occurrences which give the plot a lot of gravitas. A lot is at stake here, and you can feel it as the tension (and the fog, and the demons) creeps ever closer towards the finale. The gameplay has also become more accessible, and I'm not just talking about the general accessibility options for colorblind people, for example. The quick-time events are marked easily with an icon, indicating you to get ready to push a button. They don't appear out of thin air suddenly. And the heartbeat sections have become much easier. There were a few instances near the end of Man of Medan where you had some insane heartbeat quick-time events, which could mess up your playthrough entirely if you missed one heartbeat. The small catch here is that they have kept the difficulty of the mechanic balanced by making you switch from X to triangle and back, implementing a different button to push sometimes. And a very neat addition, is the option to see which point of interest pushes the story forward. You can still find a lot of collectibles and investigate, but the door/window/ledge/whatever that works as a point of no return, advancing the plot and locking you out of an environment, is marked with multiple arrows this time around. This gives you a clear indication what point of interest you should avoid activating, if you want to explore more and try to find everything there is to find. Honestly, I had a great time with Little Hope. This gets very close to the same level (or is on the same one) as Until Dawn, which was also a great interactive-storytelling horror game. I understand the launch price of $/€30 is still a bit steep but you can replay the game to find different endings, collect everything, or to experience the game in coop and explore new hidden scenes which will be available solo later as the Curator's Cut. Once that price goes down by even 5 dollars or euros, just don't hesitate any longer and pick it up. This one gets my full stamp of approval! Let's hope they can actually release House of Ashes - the next part in the anthology - sometime next year without any delays (stupid pandemic). Most frustrating trophy - Fate Worse Than Death (Spoilers) Spoiler Relatively speaking, this is the most annoying trophy to deal with. This one requires that Andrew is the lone survivor at the end of the game, and everyone else must've died, having feared their demons along the way. This means no one is allowed to act selflessly or heroically. On top of that, Andrew (Anthony) can not have a gun on him, to prevent the possibility of committing suicide. If you take all the right steps, you should be able to get this trophy without too much trouble. Generally speaking, the list is easier than Man of Medan's though. And you can get everything without online coop or the Curator's Cut. So in short: easier trophy list, more memorable horror game. Win-win! If all subsequent Dark Pictures games are like Little Hope, we're in for a nice treat.

Spamlynguist
#26 My Name is Mayo (Vita) My Name is Mayo! Platinumed this a couple weeks ago, after getting it on PS4. Shame you can't use the touchscreen to click on the jar. #27 My Name is Mayo 2 (PS4) My Name is Mayo! - The Second! A lot quicker to Platinum than the first game. Was a pleasant suprise that there were some minigame-esque stories. Edited November 17, 2020 by Spamlynguist
