Popular Post coldhardcrash_
#47 Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Had a lot of fun with this one, much more enjoyable than Uncharted 4 in my opinion. Very straightforward with not too many difficulty spikes, making for a fairly enjoyable and simple Platinum. Some of the collectibles are a pain to collect (highly recommend using a guide) but it doesn't detract too much from a very good game. Popular Post Jennifayrie
Astro's Playroom #128 I had never heard of Astro Bot before and never expected much from this, I just thought ah it's free and he's a cute, chubby little robot so I'm in anyway! But turns out, I thought it was brilliant and absolutely loved it! It's so charming and nostalgic, I loved all of the little easter eggs and it even made me a bit emotional at some points, probably just that nostalgia kicking in. It really showed us just what the DualSense is capable of, it's amazing, crunchy cronchy snow underfoot was a favourite. I hope future games will implement more dualsense features, I'm excited to see what's coming
Popular Post Yoey_666
#388 - The Pathless (PS5) Lets call it an action puzzler where you have to save the world from the godslayer and bring back the light. The graphics and playstyle can be best described as a mixture of Zelda and Journey. The game does not tell you much and lets you explore on your own. Pretty decent and enjoyable game.
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#337 - The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope There Is Hope Collect all Trophies I've been looking forward to this one ever since Man of Medan came out. Unlike a lot of people, I really enjoyed that one. Little Hope is even better! I'll be vague to avoid spoilers, but let's just say it was very Silent Hill-esque which is a very good thing as far as I'm concerned. It was fun trying to piece together the mystery and I found the conclusion to be more satisfying than the previous game. These bite-sized horror games are a really neat idea and I'm already looking forward to the next one. Thanks to @Redgrave for playing with me. Always a pleasure.
Popular Post Jelly Soup
#137 - Control Hot damn, as good as this looked, it was even better. Story was way more than I was expecting. I came in mostly thinking it was going to be SCP Foundation without all the rampant fart sniffing it's attracted in the last four years. What I got was a surprisingly fleshed out story about an anomaly containment agency that dips into the systemic issues in how it's run, all peppered around action heavy gameplay. Lots of exploration, hidden goodies and juicy lore to collect. Ends up looping around a different game as well, that I won't name here as it's a spoilers, but I own said game and still haven't gotten around to playing it. Kinda wish I had before this, less as a story requirement and more as a deeper appreciation thing. Sounds amazing as well. The OST is good enough to prompt me to look up the band, Poets of the Fall (or as they are called in game, Old Gods of Asgard). And the general ambiance noise is amazing as well. A large part of the game is just generally creepy all on it's own, with the loneliness of it all and harsh darkness that suddenly smash cuts to spotlight fetish land. Tossing in randomly occurring sounds of stuff moving around somewhere out of sight, footsteps just outside of whatever room you're currently searching and then the terror bongos kick in cause here comes the goddamn horde. It's not perfect, though. Couple complains: -Game can overdo it at points with the encounters, throwing several enemy types all at once and not in small numbers. Challenge is good, but not when it's every damn minor encounter and respawn. -Fights quickly become a particle effect salad with a slide of lag. -To the previous point, game frequently makes my launch PS4's fan sound likes it's fan just attained warp drive capabilities. -I...can't fully explain this one since it would be a major spoiler and it's not a real complain, more just something I deeply hate...it's a horror 'what a twist!' type thing I abhor and it happens and I was creeped right the hell out and mad and and and and and and.... It's good, I highly recommend it.
Popular Post Hoopdahoopla
#53 - Dragon Quest Builders Only a couple of trophies required grinding, building 50 different rooms required jumping between save files to see which rooms I could build with the items and it took me a few hours to get to 2000 enemy kills. All in all, not too bad. Another game gone from the 'old' backlog, I still need to clear them all before I can touch the most recent games I've bought in my 'new' backlog.

Popular Post sephiroth4424
#225 Persona 5 Royal The Phenomenal Phantom Thief Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 2/10 It's one of these games where you spend 120 hours to plat it and yet it feels like you've played 20. I loved the additional content, characters and OST, although i've seen the twist a mile away after experiencing P5 and P4G. I imagine it will be hard for Persona 6 to compete its predecessors. The only (minor) disappointment was the trophy list which was made way too simple. Still, i've maxed all confidants, created every persona except Satanael, beat the Mementos secret boss and fused a ''perfect'' Yoshitsune

Popular Post kaluna1
#65 Hyperdimension Neptunia Took nearly 7 years to get back to it, but here we are. Thought I may as well finally complete the Neptunia set (at least of the games I've played). mk2, Victory, Megadimension and RPG I all plat when I first played them, but this one I just skipped over in 2014. I beat the story but that was it. So I loaded up my 2014 NG+ and did everything properly this time. I didn't skip the story stuff as it's been long enough to enjoy it again, see what I remember/don't remember and compare it to later entries. I didn't remember the games battle system that fondly, but playing it again it is kind of novel. The healing system was the biggest controversy, but there is a neat tactical element to it not present in most RPGs. You are a bit at the mercy of RNG, but then the game lets you save before any boss which mitigates that to some extent. I also liked how they handled the different difficulties, Easy has you and the enemies do less damage to each other, while Hard has you both do more damage to each other. So Easy is the safest difficulty to play on, but there is a reason to play the others, you get faster battles. Difficulties that just give enemies more HP/make them do more damage are a pointless waste of time and are sadly far too common. Kind of funny this janky outdated game handles difficulty better than most.

Game completely changed itself when l equip light armor! That was fun! This game has the poorest class differences and really lazy design yet l enjoyed it. Popular Post WayfarerFox
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (GOTY) #196 Master of Mordor Time to Platinum: 25 hours | Difficulty: 3/10 | Enjoyment: 8/10 Overview Set just before the Lord of the Rings trilogy. You play as Talion. A Ranger who has some very tragic circumstances happen to him. At the start of the game he is killed while being Captain of watching the Black Gate. You are cursed to never die. So basically you can die but you will come back to life time and time again. Once you awaken you have an unexpected visitor who tags along in your body. I won't say who because it's very spoilery. Your job is to find out about this mysterious hitchhiker and try and find a way to dispatch of some of Saurons biggest supporters in the game. It's not so complicated but you come across mainly new faces from the series but you do visit a couple of fan favourites from the movies. They don't have major roles but you do see them in some form. This isn't a canon story though so not everything is going to follow the lore of the books or movies. I mean if it was canon then Talion could of prevented the whole of the trilogy he becomes that strong. Just saying!Gameplay Gameplay is a mix of a few games really. Open world where the movement is a lot like Assassin's Creed with all the climbing and stealth. Then when you get into combat it's very much Batman. I'm sure you've heard about that 100s of times. It works really well though. The game is 6 years old so it's not as smooth as it should be but it's not bad all round. You get a ton of different moves that expand on this really. You can get moves that make you an absolute God in combat. Especially towards the end of the game when you can brand orcs and basically make your own army and use them to attack warchiefs and stuff. It's quite satisfying to play. I hope the sequel is more of the same but expanded on. I think I will wait to play it on the PS5 though. I want to enjoy it and not listen to my jet engine through every single cutscene. Not much to say here as gameplay isn't that complicated. All I'll say is Assassin's Creed Movement + Batman Combat = Great. Add to the fact it's set in Middle-earth it in my opinion is very satisfying. Characters There's only one you can really talk about in this game without being spoilery and that's the lead Talion. Voiced by Troy Baker. He's everywhere and he's literally one of the best in the business. Talion is a Ranger who captain of the watch on the Black Gate. Something happens at the start and he doesn't change much from being empathatic or anything really. He just hates orcs much much more. He has numerous conversations with the body hitchhiker where he is angry and said person tries to calm him down and see reason. The person knows that using Orcs as part of the army and being calm in interrogation moments will benefit them both but Talion is very hotheaded when it comes to anything Orc or Sauron related. Which is understandable with what happens to him. He treats every human with respect and empathy. Overall he's a pretty decent character. Voiced really well. I'm not sure if they expand on him in the sequel but I guess we will find out. The rest of the character I don't want to say names as it's spoilery but there is a classic character in there who hasn't changed at all. I will note though. That the only Dwarf in this game is Torvin and he's probably my favourite character in the game honestly. He's what you expect from a dwarf. He adds in a lot of humour to a very serious toned game. Shame you don't see much of him but he was very well needed.Trophies The trophies to this game aren't so bad. They do seem complicated when you look at the descriptions but there is so many easy methods to make them pop whenever you can. There are no missable trophies in the game at all so if you feel like you missed somewhere you shouldn't worry because you will be able to get it no matter what. There's the story trophies which you will get by getting through the story (makes sense right?) you have your collectible trophies which aren't so bad and really simple to do because once you've forged a tower in the region. They all pop up on your map. Making it really simple and easy. There's more misc than anything else and for the most part none are that hard. They just have to be a little planned out. They are all doable though so I wouldn't worry too much about this. There is one trophy that's becoming unobtainable at the end of the year and that is for completing a Vendetta mission. Very easy to do but still will be shutdown at the very end of the year. I may even see if I can get a copy of the normal edition of the game just to get that trophy done and then work on the rest whenever I get a minute. Where the game is probably the most tough is in the DLC. Lord of the hunt isn't too bad but the Test of the wild trophy if you use the right strategy won't be too bad. The same for the Bright Lord basically. This time you play as the hitchhiker while he was alive and the game was designed to be a bit more tough but it wasn't too bad at all either.Main list trophy difficulty: 3/10 DLC trophy difficulty: 5/10 Conclusion I've seen some forum posts recently about how trash this game is but it's really not. You can't expect to be overpowered from the start of the game. You get stronger and stronger as you go on. It will feel a little dated if you play it now but the story and gameplay are really good to be honest. There are a few things that can get annoying. Like you can become overwhelmed quite quickly so it's best to try and do as many side missions and challenges as you can to help build up your focus, your health etc. You will realise that after a certain point you will become really strong. Maybe, I'm a little biased because I loved Lord of the rings growing up add that in to the fact that gameplay wise is from two of my favourite series' as well. It just felt really good to me! If you want the platinum make sure you get it before the end of the year and give the game time to build before thinking it is rubbish etc. It's a fun game especially if you are a fan of Lord of the Rings. I wonder what happens in the sequel. It's been out for years I know but I still know nothing about it. So will start it soon as I can.

Fun: / Difficulty: / Trophy Enjoyment: / Time to Plat: 30 minutes What can i say i'm a trophy whore. Atleast this game was alot more creative then the first one. Basicly press 10k times #354 Telling Lies All Done Fun: / Difficulty: / Trophy Enjoyment: / Time to Plat: 30 minutes Used a walkthrough to get the plat fast then played through the game in my own pace afterwards. If you are a fan FMV i highly reccomend this game. Very unique. #355 The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope There Is Hope Fun: / Difficulty: / Trophy Enjoyment: / Time to Plat: 18 Hours So this is the second installment in the Dark Pictures Anthology. Man of Medan was dissapointing and so is this one unfortunately. Man of Medan and Little Hope but suffers from the same thing Spoiler the threat is not real. In the first it was a chemical and in Little Hope the threat is mental illness so it's all an illusion. It takes away everything that is scary from the game knowing nothing is real. In Until Dawn the threat was real and the story behind it was interesting. We even got a fake out in the begining with a fake serial killer but later we got smacked in the face with wendigos, and not just any wendigo one of the sisters that died in the begining of the game. Until Dawn story was superior in every way. Hopefully House of Ashes will be better but i have my doubts since it seems to be based of The Exorcist: The Beginning. I would still say the games 30 dollar price tag is worth it if you are into these kind of games. Trophies are boring and not very creative. Max relationships, get traits, kill/save everyone and as in the previous game all Heart and all Head playthroughs. This game the devs made it alot easier to track Heart/Head playthrough since you can just pause the game and see if you have stuck to one or the other. No coop needed for any trophy or collectible is a big plus for this game. Everything can be gotten while playing solo and without curators cut. Replaying it 3 times was a chore since there wasn't much difference in the endings. Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#329: I'm going to become the King of the Pirates! I'm free! FREEEEEEE!!!!!!!! Seriously though, it's a Musou game, so lots n lots lots n lots n lots of repetition await those brave enough. Gone is the story mode with QTE and light platforming from the 1st game, in it's place are dull battlefield stages with a One Piece skin on top of them, and story events being spurt out are via boring drawn out scenes of characters yammering at each other, completely halting the flow of gameplay every time they pop up. The trophy list is as annoying as ever. If I ever go back to this game, it'll be too soon. All the characters still feel semi-unique, but now we entered the territory of being too over-the-top, resulting in a bunch of gimmicks that are not fun to play as at all. Spastic erratic combos and actions with little to no payoff occurs frequently here, making the grinding of Exclamation Marks (this games' exp) a pain in the ass. It was annoying PW1 too, but at least there the system in place was dedicated to rewarding skillful play, rather then tying them this games' team-up mechanic, the Kizuna Rush; a mechanic that IMO actively works AGAINST what makes Musou games fun; destroying giant groups of enemies as fast as possible. Because now, to get anywhere, you have to pick and choose what moves helps raise your gauge and hope there are enough enemies to actually level up your characters. Add in how a lot of these characters you have to grind for aren't even playable, and then add in how you can't even actively choose your partner is, put it all in modes that require the completion of a bunch of mind-numbing samey tasks to be done over and over and over and over, and you're in for one rough time. I had plenty of misgivings with the 1st game, but like I do with Dynasty Warrior 9, I'll give it credit for trying to spice it up with something different. In fact, I'm REALLY starting to fall into the "DW9 is underrated" camp, though as a nondedicated Musou player, I have no business making that call.

Most recent 100% Fun: 9/10 Difficulty: 8/10 (I hate zombies, base game difficulty is 3/10) Trophy enjoyment: 8/10 Time to plat: no idea, ~10 hours for the campaign, maybe 20/30 hours for DLC Almost my first experience with the Call of Duty series, my last one was Call of Duty 2, 15 years ago. First experience in multi-player. First experience with DLC. First experience with zombies. Now, I know that I hate zombies ? Anyway, multi-player was a good experience at least. I was sceptical at the beginning, I am usually a lonely player, but in the end I really enjoyed the co-op in zombie mode. I would have never done any DLC in solo. Thanks to all people who helped me!
