Popular Post Gommes_
#118 Detroit Become Human Detroit Master Cliché the game would’ve been the better title for Detroit Become Human. David Cage is not a good writer when it comes to stories. Anyone who ever saw a movie in their life already saw everything happening in that game, only better. Do you know that scene where the hero has to move in enemy territory and manages to get through only to be stopped by the last guard? Anxiety and excitement will rise only to be back to a normal level when you find out that the guard just wants to give you something back you accidently dropped but let’s you go. That’s in the game! Ever saw a scene where two people look absolutely identical and another one has to shoot the bad version of them, so the good one can survive? That’s in the game as well. And so you see countless tropes of various films but especially of movies with androids or AI only worse. The dialogue is also really cringy at times with a little girl who says the most adult and cute stuff at the same time only to seem vulnerable and bright enough to see through the madness of mankind. Like any 8 year old has a monologue about wanting to be happy and questioning the decision of her father and why people are bad and let others not live the way they want to. Especially in the way how it was portrayed in the game. Sometimes you want to turn your face away from the TV, cause some scenes are so bad. Like the march from Markus and his fellow androids. Their chanting is so ridiculous and the music to support the march is beyond tacky. In general David Cage does not trust the gamer to realize certain emotions of a scene on his/her own. If a guy is bad, he is super bad. If someone is sad, they are super sad and so on. No subtle tones. No naturally dynamics between characters. Every emotion Cage wants to trigger comes with a sledgehammer! People barely seem to have more characteristics than the one which will carry a specific scene. On top of that many aspects do not follow any logic, especially when it comes to the liberation of random androids. Expect to hear the word “free” hundreds of times even if it doesn’t fit certain scenes. The only good thing about the story was the Connor part. The interaction between him and the detective felt so much better in comparison to the rest of the game. The dialogues between the two were not free of faults but felt more real, had humor, and I always wanted to know what happens next. The story is the biggest part about the game and also the weakest. However I kinda liked the whole cheesiness as soon as I realized that the game goes down that road. Maybe because I also liked the technical side of the game and the art style itself. Btw. I didn’t notice Cage’s lack of writing skills in Heavy Rain or Beyond Two Souls that much. I don’t know what happened. Maybe I consumed much more stories since then or he got worse. If you aren’t really into movies or never saw anything AI/robots/androids related stuff I’d say go for it. Anyone else should rather watch Ex Machina or Blade Runner 2049. Popular Post StraightVege
Chinese Farmer #244 - Hard Reset Redux Ultra Rare 3.05% 5th Fastest Achiever (3 days, 23 hours) On occasion, it's nice to cleanse one's palate with a game that's simply mindless fun, and this old-fashioned cyberpunk FPS fits the bill. Don't expect all the modern shooter amenities here, because Hard Reset is no-frills, frenetic, relentless blasting action through and through: think Painkiller or Serious Sam, in a Blade Runner wrapper. This Flying Wild Hog production attempts to recapture the FPS glory days—you know, back when your character ran faster than a sports car, secrets were hidden on precarious 1-pixel-wide ledges, aiming down sights wasn't even an idea yet, and the story was an afterthought at best. Indeed, the plot is little more than cliché gobbledygook about evil corporations and murderous self-aware robots, starring generic characters who spout unnatural dialogue, which sounds like it was put through Google Translate. It's not even worth discussing, but the brutally tough, fast-paced gameplay sure is. Prepare to be assaulted by seemingly endless waves of obnoxious killbots, which are near-indestructible on the higher difficulties. To have any hope of survival, a player must combo the enemies to death by rapidly switching between various weapon types to efficiently stack damage, and exploit environmental hazards to wipe out groups, such as the reliable ol' explosive barrel. Or, fill an annoying talking vending machine full of holes, and it'll zap your foes with pretty arcs of electricity. A fun dash ability makes you extremely mobile (after all, you're a cybernetic soldier), and it's essential to keep moving most of the time, lest you be swarmed by all manner of mechanical baddies equipped with sharp implements. I have no clue how people finished the original version of Hard Reset, which apparently didn't feature the dash! The way they approached weapon design is clever. There are technically only two guns/ammo types—your standard military (CLN) rifle, and an energy blaster (NRG)—but they seamlessly shift between multiple forms and functions, that are unlocked via a simple-but-satisfying upgrade system. The CLN gun reduces enemy health, while the NRG weapon depletes the enemy's shield, and you're meant to quickly shift through the weapon forms, using each function while others are on cooldown. On console (without a mouse wheel) this is more difficult to perform, but still quite doable, thanks to a quick weapon menu that pauses the action when you bring it up. This menu is a bit sluggish, however, so I often selected the wrong weapon function by mistake. I also had a hard time distinguishing exactly what weapon form I had selected without firing first, which is obviously frustrating in the heat of battle. It always feels awful when you're expecting a rocket to fly out of your gun, only to get a relatively useless shotgun blast instead. Another aspect I found irritating is how volatile the physics are—there always seems to be some explosive canister or whatnot flying around, causing unavoidable damage, and it's far too easy to become stuck on debris when dodging. That's the last thing you want when a giant machine is charging directly at you... yep, that'll get you killed. The second half of the game throws way too many enemies at you, as well, and they all appear to have infinite health. It wore me down to the point where I was complaining out loud, "Really? There's still more?! Just stop it, already!" That wouldn't happen if they'd have paced this better, rather than trying to make the later levels challenging at any cost. In fact, the final boss spawns so many bots that the frame rate drops into unplayable slideshow territory. Absurd and disappointing. I nonetheless had my fun on the road to this difficult platinum. It forced me to pull some dusty old skills out of the toolbox, from my days of Quake and Unreal Tournament, that I too rarely get to employ anymore. It's certainly flawed, but an enjoyable enough old school romp for the budget price, with decent graphics and a cool soundtrack. I much prefer this classic style of FPS over most modern drudgery, and would probably play more shooters if they were all like this. Great to see that Polish developers are still releasing games of this sort! postofficebuddy
#117 Gris: Personal Growth Enjoyment: 8 Difficulty: 2 A work of art. The ending brought a tear to my eye. Pretty easy, I didn’t even need a guide to find all the mementos. Eel is the only semi-tricky trophy. Had to restart a few times before I got it.
Popular Post Nostalgy_Flow
Platinum #87: Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition Very nice Metroidvania, I really enjoyed it! The various levels are all different from each other, with each one having its style and atmosphere. For the rest, it's fun. You can see it was made with passion, really a little gem! Pretty easy plat with the invincibility glitch for the Pantheons, I took 41 hrs, and I did the most part without a guide. Basically you need to do everything for the 112% trophy, luckily nothing is missable and you can get back to every area of the game.
Popular Post ZoutjeNL
#55 A Plague Tale: Innocence Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 3/10 I finally decided to pick up this game while it was 15 euro. It peaked my interest right from when I saw gameplay... the setting and the emphasis on story is what I like in games. And man this game really was great. The story is fantastic, the cast is great and the characters are very interesting. The music and setting is amazing too. The platinum journey is also relatively easy, just collectibles and some miscellaneous trophies. Do yourself a favour and pickup this game, especially if its only 15 bucks!
Popular Post Eqill5
Platinum #41 & 100% Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End This has by far been my favourite of the series! I really enjoyed the story and all of the trophies were pretty straight forward. Coming to the Uncharted games late (this year) this is the first chance I’ve had to experience multiplayer/co-op. And this is where I’ve had the most fun, on Survival mode. I was expecting those trophies to be a nightmare, however after learning the correct methods for each stage, thanks to a couple of really great and helpful players, I haven’t played any other game for the last few weeks. Spent a lot of time running through Crushing and helping others get their stars too, levelling up my weapons and putting in the practice to attempt a hopefully successful Hardcore run soon. So this is one of those games that has kept me interested, after completion. Edited November 27, 2020 by Eqill5

Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #102 MediEvil I have been a loyal Playstation customer for almost 20 years, since the first Playstation, but the first time that I heard of Sir Daniel Fortesque and MediEvil was when I played Playstation All Stars Battle Royale years ago. As someone who experienced MediEvil for the first time, I think it is a good game. Being new to the franchise I decided to watch some videos on Youtube to see how faithful this was to the original, and I was very surprised. Almost everything is as it was on the PS1 version. The graphics are really good, far above my expectations. The colors are really vibrant and lively, it's candy to the eyes. I dont know if the intention of the first game was to be creepy, even if a little, because I noticed that the original is much darker in colors than this remaster. This even make some enemies and levels look more cartoonish than the creepy vibe they had on the original. Some fans of the original might get a bit upset with this. The soundtrack is also very good, it really set the mood for the game. The changes when certain events happen were a very good aspect of the music in my opinion. I think the gameplay is a bit lacking. Like I said, this is a faithful remake of a PS1 game, so the combat is a bit too simple and bland, even a bit outdated, so they could have added some new mechanics. Another thing that I wish they fixed is the camera. You fight the camera as much as the enemies. Sometimes it moves on its own, leaving you disoriented, or there are blind spots. This can be crucial in a game with many plataforming elements, and where if you die, you have to start from the beginning. Thankfully they are very short once you know what to do, because I think they should have added checkpoints, I dont see the point in not having. Not the overabundance of newer games, but one or two per level would be fine. The trophy list is very simples and objective. The only troublesome trophy is the one for dying 7 unique ways because of the glitch. I did like I read on one of the threads here and it worked fine after I died after letting the timer run out on the "Haunted Ruins" level. In the end I think MediEvil is a good game and I would recommend it. It is a simple game, from the story to the gameplay. The only thing you should do is not underestimate this game because of its simplicity. It's not hard to the point that you will see the game over screen over and over, but it is a bit hard to adjust to a simple, and somewhat slow gameplay. At least it was for me. I think gamers new to the franchise will enjoy it, and older fans will rejoice in nostalgia, while enjoying the remastered graphics and soundtrack.
Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #220 Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales [PS5] Be Yourself Collect all Trophies I have many things to say, so you were warned if you bother to read any of it. You know, having replayed Marvel's Spider-Man not that long ago, and having to play this one twice [NG+ required for plat]... I think the first game, and similarly this one, are a bit overrated. PS4 is great, but it has a myriad of flaws. And while people do not want to admit it, a lot of what works was already done in the licensed Spider-Man games... and certain aspects in those games were done better. TAS2, which I also finally finished this year, while not a good game with tons of horrible design choices has enemy AI that is smart enough to pick up better weapons from the ground. Something I really wish was a thing in these games, because it gives the brainless drones we beat up a bit more personality and believably. Plus the upgrade to web the weapons to the ground was neat and makes sense rather than just... throwing them somewhere. But to get back onto this game specifically, it's solid. I think overpriced at $50USD [certainly overpriced in Canada thanks to our terrible dollar]. But it's overall fun, I like the "venom" abilities despite not liking that name, if that's what they're called in the comics too that's silly given Venom exists as a character. idk if he exists in the Miles universe or not, but it's just silly to me either way. I think the venom abilities make up for fewer gadgets. Frankly I barely used the gadgets in the original anyway, other than the trip mine. The venom jump thing was my favorite, you get a bunch of guys stunned in the air and they're screwed. And the final ability is dope. Being able to turn invisible is nice, I've always been a fan of that in games. Though I think it's a bit lame that Miles feels so much like a fanfiction character. What I mean by that is he has every skill that Peter has. He's smart, good with technology, even nerds out about it, he has Spider-Sense, he has web[shooters], and can wall climb... but he ALSO can use "venom" attacks [electricity] AND can turn invisible! It's just got that one upmanship you'd find in things like "My Immortal" that infamous Harry Potter fanfic from years ago. Where a fan loves something, but also loves themselves even more so they take their favorite thing and then make themselves that exact same thing but also with more stuff to make them even more super duper cool. As a person/character, he's fine, I just wish they'd take a bit away in terms of skillset because he's just Peter + Electro + Invisible Woman - Force Fields. I think if they had just had him unable to use Spidey Sense that would've been fine, because invisibility makes up for not being able to sense incoming danger by avoiding it entirely by being invisible. But it is what it is, I suppose. It's a personal issue that I'm sure most don't mind anyway. Story has it's moments, I think it has some of the same flaws that the main game does but given this is more condensed they're more apparent here. I'm including the DLC in there. Certain villains aren't handled well in either game. I really like Miles' mom, she has some sweet moments and lines and her actress does a good job. I think Phin has a weird name :P, she's kind of in the middle for me. Love the look of the character, whoever the model is was a good choice. But certain key moments didn't work in terms of the voice/performance. Spoiler like when her brother is locked by the reactor and she's trying to emote about it, or directly after, I forget which specifically. But she just kind of falls flat on a few lines when you should feel that pain. But she has some fun banter with Miles. My main issue with her character is one I had with a character in Spider-Man PS4, and the DLC. So if you only played Miles, I will be somewhat spoiling aspects of the first game and some of the dlc. Spoiler She's much like Silver Sable and Screwball, more so Screwball. Not in the most annoying personality of all time [Screwball]. But both in various ways. For me, Silver Sable did not work at all in the original. She shows up, beats the crap out of Spidey, disappears. Then is, for no reason, like "fine, go save the day Spider-Man." at the end for no reason. I did like her more in the DLC of hers, I wish that had been incorporated into the main game in terms of the interactions between them that softened her up to Spidey a bit so that her actions in the main game would make some sense. Otherwise she is just is a dick the whole time, and better than Spidey, and then isn't for no reason. The part where "The Tinkerer" fails for me that reminds me of Silver Sable is that she just kind of beats the crap out of Miles, multiple times. She shows up, kicks his butt. Disappears. The only real depth added is thanks to being his 'old friend' which we are brow beat with in particular with the 'time capsules' and how they talk about them together in it. We don't get to really see or feel that deeper connection. It's a shame this isn't a full game, because they probably could have built it up way better had they more time to work with. At least you do fight Tinkerer in the main game, and you do fight Silver Sable in the DLC as I recall. Which again should have been in the main game there. Aspects of that dlc story were my favorite of the bunch honestly. I like when a character I hated in something is made somewhat better. As for Screwball, she's just some annoying hacker gurl streamer with a lolsorandom and cRaaaaYyyy CraaaYyyyy, but is never caught by Peter [that I remember] and she sure isn't ever beat up like I wish she was just because of how annoying she is. The issue with her is mostly that she's just some random nobody and yet is faster than Peter. Why? Just because you're smart like 999% of people in the Spider-Man PlayStation Universe, and MCU Spider-Man for that matter, doesn't mean you have the stamina to work with. Stamina is something that Miles even talks about at one point as some kind of off hand comment. Yes, why isn't this random girl who is only ever told to us is smart and wanted to be an engineer or whatever, able to be athletically superior to Miles? Like Screwball was able to be athletically superior to Peter. It just takes me out of it. If instead of having them go toe to toe, she used her intelligence to out wit Miles it would make more sense. In fact, the game even sets that up as a theme or an arc to overcome when as Phin she says something like, "I'm still taller [smarter] than you 'here'." *points to brain* She could outwit him throughout the game, and then for Miles to find a way to finally overcome her superior intelligence. His physical superiority as a SUPER FRIGGIN HUMAN SPIDER PERSON wouldn't make a difference if she is one step ahead of him, and trapping him in gizmos and gadgets. But nah, she just punches him with some gloves and zooms around on some boots. Obviously wearing these things allows a super human to punch you multiple times and you to be perfectly fine and it ain't no thang. "you can't beat me, why do you keep fighting!" ok random girl with no super powers but who wears some technology on feet and hands. That makes sense! Just... make it make sense to me. I'm sure not everyone is bothered by this, and I didn't used to be, however... the older I get the more I see it. And the more I see it the lower my tolerance of this kind of silliness I have. At a certain point, I just want it to make sense. If it was an entire body suit, fine. But it's not. It's a generator [seemingly] on the back, some gloves and shoes. That's all. Excluding the various weapons the 'crew' uses. I think it a bit odd the set up of the game's story / the main punching bags of the game. Spoiler Okay, to a degree I could understand Raxxon or whatever being able to have those goons at various buildings owned by the corporation. Fine, but they go out in the public and are on the bridge with guns pointed at random people and the police are nowhere to be seen. There is no public outcry about this overreach of what is supposed to be some kind of private security firm of a corporation. At least the main game tried to rationalize it as some kind of Mayor private security overreaching. That is still kind of stupid and silly, but easier to go 'eh... ok' and at least people complained about it, from what I recall, in the story. In this there's just a few 'crimes' that happen which involve Raxxon but nothing really matters at all. And the purple guys, Tinkerer gang... I can't remember... Underground? Yeah that's right, they just are in Fisk tower I guess? Fisk has no assets I guess? He has eyes on the outside and connections to make that happen according to this game (wouldn't be surprised if he's in the next main game again) but his tower is overrun with these guys? Police didn't notice it? Nobody noticed endless dudes living it up in there? idk, it's just a bit goofy to me. If it was just a warehouse, eh... maybe, but his tower? That's a big ask to buy into for me. I quite liked how things played out in regards to the Underground, I just thought the set up was a bit slap dash and not so great. I wish they felt more underground, that tech being "underground" in itself feels a bit weird and you can certainly feel the repurposed enemy designs from them and their weapons for the most part. I didn't care for the ost that much. The Spider-Verse movie had a much better ost. Game froze my PS5 once, which wasn't fun. Quick loading is godlike. Ray tracing is pretty, but it certainly isn't worth half the frames imo. DualSense use is a bit meh, I disabled the shoulder buttons since the sound it makes when adjusting to the swing as you press it was really noticeable and loud. I found some aspects of the 'hold R2 and then press L2' to go there move (can't remember what it's called) to be really wonky, if you're too close it won't do anything. I don't remember having those issues in the main game, or even TAS or TAS2. Maybe they were there and I forgot, but it was a huge pain to not be able to go from a ledge I'm currently on close to the ceiling and just web up to the ceiling for no apparent reason. I have to risk moving elsewhere for no reason. And judging the distance you can do certain things at was a bit of a chore, idk if it's different now or if I just got use to TAS2 or something, but it felt a lot shorter than I remember from Spider-Man PS4. Though you could also pull people to the wall from around a corner which was a beneficial 'issue'. Combat other than the slightly adjusted gadgets and venom felt exactly like Spider-Man PS4, not much iteration there. Ultimately, I had fun with it. Though the NG+ run sucked as you can't skip cutscenes [or if you can I failed to figure it out, you can skip the credits at least; and at least with NG+ they disabled the tutorial messages and freeze frames to explain simple tasks like web swinging, which was a nice QoL thing; though the game is still harassing you about the stupid Spider-Man app after you've done everything in it already and how to open it. Ugh...] I think that's about enough talking about it. It was solid, it was mostly fun. I'm glad I played it and will happily play it eventually on PS4 again, that NG+ requirement makes that desire a bit farther away, but it didn't really hurt my excitement for more Insomniac Spidey games. I just hope the next full game has some improvements [please let AI pick up different weapons, that was so neat and wasted in such a turd of a game]. Cat backpack outfit was cute, just wish you could have gotten it sooner than post-story. I liked most of the suits really. I think there was only one or two I didn't like at all, sadly the NG+ one was one of them lol. Oh that reminds me, that the NG+ locking away skills was stupid beyond words. And I for the life of me do not understand why they don't unlock at level 20 given that you have 3 skill points by the time you are there and enter NG+ if you did everything else. Instead you have to level, get 3 more skill points just to spend the 3 you had. And then you get even more skill points that you never need for no reason. Does this bother anyone else? idk, I'll stop talking about it for real now and be done.
Popular Post arcanehornet_
Platinum #300 Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War Difficulty: 7.5/10 Fun: 8/10 Time: 110+ hours Since BO3 was my 200th milestone, I figured it would be nice to make the latest Black Ops entry my #300. This game was definitely not as hard as BO3 but still incredibly challenging due to the Reunited with Fidolina trophy. This single trophy took probably 20 hours in its own. My successful run took 5 hours total, which is insane.. As for campaign and MP, they’re some of the best the series has to offer. I especially enjoyed the campaign which had a nice twist and good improvements on gameplay. I’ve never enjoyed zombies that much so this mode was a drag. There is a big grind here for upgrading every perk, as well as a bunch of tricky miscellaneous trophies. Easter egg is surprisingly easy. Overall, I’m happy to add another ultra rare plat to my collection. I really enjoyed the game, but ir’s hard to recommend to trophy hunters due to the requirements. If you’re a series fan, go for it.
Popular Post Duffcar
Has been over 100 platinums since my last post in this forum but hopefully will keep the updates coming. Platinum #132 - God of War: Ascension Not going to lie, I had come and gone from this game multiple times over the last 18 months with no luck getting past the very first juggernaut fight on hard... alas once I did finally manage I knew it was just a case of practise and trial and error for the rest and pushed through in this past week to clean it up. Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#513 - Life is Strange 2 Boy is this one overrated. It feels so extremely contrived,, that it isn't really all that interesting. A lot of the characters areunlikeable and their behavior is quite irrational at times. I'm not sure why, but visually this one feels like a downgrade from the first game. Maybe I'm misremembering, but especially the faces in this game look rough. Lip sync is also off a lot of times, not to mention coming across a game-breaking bug right in the first episode, where your brother (that you are supposed to talk to), literally popped out of existence. While I didn't have the chance to experience this game on Portable PlayStation, which I didn't own the device, so I brought a physical copy of "God of War: Origins Collection" 2 years ago that contain two game in one disc for PS3 and visit "Kratos" new journey that i had missed. Playing "Chain of Olympus" on Hard difficulty is not as tough as "Ascension" as long I keep upgrading along the journey but every boss battle still pose a bit of challenge for me, especially the last boss battle. This is also the first ever Challenge of the Gods I have completed and those 5 arena challenges I didn't really have too much frustration, although I don't have good experience with those challenges arena in first God of War on PlayStation 2 in my early years. Next will be 2005 God of War, a game I was introduced to this franchise and I still have good memory with the game and looking forward to revisit again more than a decade later but I'm not too excited for those 10 Challenge of the Gods. Popular Post DefinitiveTJ
Platinum 71: Under Night In-Birth EXE:Late(cl-r) I got the platinum for the previous version of Under Night and it was time for the the most recent version. The trophy list is completely identical which is a slight bummer but it was cool to see that I went through the list much faster than the last time. The challenges were no problem at all this time and the hardest difficulty was also very doable. When you just start fighting games it's hard to notice that you're improving but there is a large difference between now and even two months ago. Late(cl-r) also brings a new character named Londrekia and he was a joy to play. I didn't play online this time so I don't know how annoying his ice powers are against other players but in the single player it's great. Platinum 72: Skyscrappers Played it because it was part of Playstation Now. The concept is cool: part platformer and part fighting game but ultimately fails to leave a mark.
Popular Post AgentSmiz
Platinum 114: Doom (2016) Intended for this to be platinum 50 back in the day but the notorious "The Circle is Complete" glitch got me and I never went back to the game. After getting Eternal recently and loving that, I came back to this game to play the (arguably) better multiplayer. Got a few trophies in that and decided to clear up the single player ones - except for the one that requires playing the first mission on the hardest difficulty. I'd tried that years ago and failed miserably. Even trying to use the glitch, I couldn't get past the first combat area. Flash forward to this morning and getting the last of the weapon masteries and mission challenges. Before uninstalling it, I decided to give the "A Toe into Madness" trophy a go - just to say I had tried. Survived the first combat arena with over half my health left and, after mopping up a few other enemies from a safe distance (and nearly dying to a stray barrel explosion), I got to the point where you can glitch to the end of the level using a series of tense jumps. Did so and BLAM! Platinum. Not the most noble of trophy earnings but this game glitched out on me before with a trophy. It's only fair that I get one back.
Popular Post Godo Fwar
#379 - Ride 3 Ride 3 Maestro Unlock all trophies Didn't enjoy this as much as Ride 2, mainly because it was so grindy but it wasn't difficult either. I did the DLC events from the beginning (as I bought the game with the season pass included) and they counted towards the career progression, I would've spent more time doing the main career events as well. And I didn't buy a single bike either, the DLC bikes were automatically added to my garage so I saved a ton of credits! Popular Post Ala-Arska
Seasons after Fall Master of seasons Unlock all trophies for "Seasons after Fall" Could've used some stairs, for fox's sake. It's cute, it's indie. And it's got some flaws. Seasons after Fall is an exploration/Metroidvania/platforming game, with pretty visuals. And although the graphics are a sight for the sore eyes, the controls are the reason for sore thumbs My fox moves clumsily, has a delay with every action, takes time to even turn. Zero fox given at any moment. Buttons should not be this unresponsive in any game, let alone in a friggin' platformer. Brick movement almost ruins the experience. You can't die at all, which takes off all challenge. But with aforementioned delay, adds frustration in tight jumping sections. Gameplay and story are not for thrill seekers. It's the same monotone pace all the way, kinda like watching paint dry in 1.25x speed For a title that's meant to be artistic and "a journey out of stress", it's pretty f**king annoying. The lack of map doesn't help, either. Seasons after Fall falls short after first season. But it's cheap at the store, at times. Find it at low price, it's better than getting Lost
Popular Post TwilightSpira
PLATINUM 235/TROPHY 13.000 - DEMON'S SOULS UMBASA!! Okay so this one deserves all my love and dedication on my post; not only is my first platinum on my beautiful PS5, true! beautiful, after you set vertically by your TV, the amount of power and infrastructure is overwhelming. I was a bit skeptical when they announced, but seeing in person is such a fantastic machine. As for Demon's Souls, WOW Bluepoint, what a masterpiece, I may not be one of the majority here, but this game is the best "soul" named game by a long shot alongside Dark Souls 3. Dark Souls original is iconic, works well, but when you play this game, even with the limitations, as hub separating worlds instead of a open world environment, we can't look away the fact that all of them are unique, challenging and so much fun. This remake in particular is masterful, WOW again, sorry. The level of detail, sound effects; played with my pulse 3D headset by the way were phenomenal. Lastly I would like to add that I really think this is the biggest jump since maybe 2D-3D and standard display to HD. I never would have thought a leap this huge could happen after seeing so many impressive games on the PS4, but the level of detail, and how fast everything loads is pretty staggering at first; Nevertheless, here hoping for even more immersion, also please developers, abuse the dualsense, incredible piece of software. Thanks for reading this, as the first actual post from the new TwilightSpira, saying goodbye to Mah2c PS: What feature is this? YESSS!!! Thank you Sony. "May the heavens gaze favourably upon you, UMBASA!"
Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 (#519) Trophy Milestone #15,000 "Pro Skater Returns" I was super stoked when this was revealed during a Geoff Keighley stream. It looked both familiar and shiny new. The first impressions from the demo level sealed the deal for me. I played so much when it first came out. The campaign mode was fairly easy once the muscle memory was re-established. Some of the challenges, like the specific combos for the Pro Skater were a bit more challenging. In fact, once I got started, the only trophy that seemed crazy daunting was reaching Level 100. The gap lists were just a little tedious, but the Hard Get-Theres were a worthy challenge. School II, Mall, and Bullring were the most difficult. These really were more about practice and attempting different routes. Don't let these feel overwhelming because they really are not. The game was exactly what it needed to be. It was a rebuilding of the originals, with the same tight controls and response times, a lot of the same soundtrack. It felt great to revisit these levels. Very much recommended.
Popular Post Sergen
Shadow of Mordor 100% Difficulty: 5/10, Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 Time for 100%: 33 hours I did this in anticipation of the upcoming server shutdown because it'd be a damn shame to lose out on this platinum when the trophy that will become unobtainable can be done within 2 hours of starting up the game. The trophy in question is "Repaid in Blood" which requires you to complete a Vendetta mission, these missions are randomly generated and will task you with killing an enemy who has killed another person who is playing the game, I was concerned about the RNG element before I worked on the game but after playing it I was frequently given a Vendetta mission throughout my platinum journey. I would estimate that I got around 14 Vendetta's while working on the platinum and my first Vendetta was earned within my first 2 hours of play. The game does start off in a rather annoying way because the game doesn't tell you how you can heal yourself and you have low health, no upgrades and it takes time for the game to give you access to the mechanics that can greatly help you. I always start off these action based games as a complete noob who has no idea what to do, but once I get settled in I enjoy myself. This game was very good and had a lot of Lord of the Rings lore and references within it, which is to be expected considering it is set in Mordor. You play as a man who has his wife and son murdered in front of him and he himself is murdered but somehow immune to death because a spirit takes control of him, then his mission is to avenge the death of his family, the cutscenes of this game are short, as is the story however the interesting elements have nothing to do with the story. There is a hierarchy named "Sauron's Army" consisting of War chiefs and Captains, these enemies get promoted based on the kind of damage they do to you, every random enemy that kills you is promoted to captain rank in that hierarchy and then they create power struggles with each other to try and become the war chief or bodyguard of a war chief. Late into the game you unlock the "Brand" ability which helps greatly because it allows you to turn the enemies against each other and bring them to your side, this helps in the heat of battle when you can remove the pressure from yourself by having pets fight for you through that mechanic. The game plays a lot like the Batman Arkham games, I'm guessing some of the people who worked on those games worked on this one because they're all published by Warner Bros, because of this I wasn't too terrible at the combat once I did acquire the upgrades. The game also features a mode that is very similar to the detective mode, you simply press and then you're able to see through walls and see the enemies in the area, this also helps with locating your main targets when they are in the area because you can press to mark them. The real tough part of this game is the "Test of the Wild" challenge in the Lord of the Hunt DLC, it is a challenge in the "Trials of War" part of the game giving you a sandbox world where you control the activities you do. You must fulfill the special objectives in that challenge, which consist of killing 20 Captains, 5 War chiefs and killing 10 Captains with monsters in your run all within 40 minutes, this game conveniently allows you to control the creatures that venture in Mordor and this is the big key to meeting the time requirement of the challenge. There is a feature called the "Riot" feature which allows you to take control of a War chief and command them to fight against other War chiefs, you will want to do this a lot in this challenge because it allows you to immediately locate the other War chiefs, normally you have to instead gain intel by grabbing enemies on the map and forcing them to be on your side. Conveniently every riot I played had a Graug enemy in it, as long as you shot the bait, Graugs are huge monsters that you can mount and use to grab enemies, you can immediately kill a Captain or War chief with one and also rack up the monster kills with it. However, the big saving grace of the challenge trophies is that you can quit at any time you want and back up your save file to a USB or to the PS+ cloud, backing up your save allows you to revert back to a previous state to rectify any mistakes without needing to restart the entire run, you'll normally want to do this between riots in order to keep your controlled War chief alive and access other riots, if your War chief dies then you need to find another one to command, but it is a huge time loss to find and command another War chief rather than keeping the same one alive. I did read somewhere that getting a level 25 rune was much easier during "The Bright Lord" DLC and that was correct, I got my rune naturally by killing captains in the DLC zone, this DLC drops runes up to level 30 so getting a level 25 rune is a lot more common. This DLC in particular makes you play as Celebrimbor rather than Talion, he can command enemies on the fly and has his own area of effect command ability that allows you to command a lot of enemies in one go rather than doing it individually to the enemies, this helps greatly in battles where you are outnumbered and need some support. All in all I do recommend people to play this game before the server shutdown, it will be a disappointing experience to see the platinum slip through your fingers when the trophy that will stop working is incredibly simple and there is plenty of time to do it. I will move on to play Shadow of War some day and I am looking forward to further adventures in Mordor! I did the entire game using a PS5 and I used my retail copy of the game for that, I can confirm that the backwards compatibility for this game was flawless and I had no issues with it whatsoever. Popular Post Trumpet_Boi_208
#22: GoNNER Enjoyment: 7.5/10 - This game has a lot of rough edges, including frame rate stutters to the point of being unplayable during a boss, and loss of progress upon closing the game. However, I still really enjoyed my experience with GoNNER. It’s looks are unlike anything that I cannot get enough of, its 2D action-platformer gameplay is a blast, and the soundtrack was quite cool. Difficulty: 7/10 - This game was a good challenge, although it is a short platinum if you know what and where everything is. Getting a 100 combo and beating the game without dying are the biggest obstacles here. Use the scythe and shark fin for the 100 combo and the Brick Head for your deathless playthrough and you’ll make it with enough practice. If not for the loss of progress after every session and the frame drops during a specific boss, then it would probably be a 6/10 in difficulty. Overall, GoNNER is an underrated gem that shouldn’t be overlooked. If you’re looking for a challenging 2D Action-Platformer, then give this game a go. It’s dirt cheap last time I checked. I’m writing a guide for this game to potentially help others earn this platinum on the shorter end of the time spectrum.
