Popular Post Duffcar
Platinum #135 - Intruders: Hide and Seek Found this game pretty good for the price I had paid with decent story and gameplay for a low cost. Platinum #136 - Metropolis: Lux Obscura Really enjoyed playing through this quick and interesting game, would highly recommend. With any luck this will be the first of a few posts from me here over the next few days as after assessing my backlog I have decided I have enough fast/less time consuming games to knock out on my profile and am aiming to reach 140 total platinum trophies before 2021. Popular Post Carol
#205 Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Done Collect all of the other trophies Psychology and mental health are very dear themes to me, so I immediately became interested in this game when I knew it tries to portray a mental illness. This game was a very emotional journey right from the beginning and I think it does a good job, showing what it is living with mental problems. Like the game shows, living with mental health problems is living with a darkness, that, to a greater or lesser extent, is always with us. Even the most common ones, like anxiety or depression, are very incapacitating. Hellblade was a powerful and dark ride, that impacted me a lot emotionally. I admit I struggle to find words to talk about this game. It's more an experience than a game, actually, and it can be quite personal.
Popular Post DeathNyx
Resident Evil 6 (PS4) Platinum N°92: RESIDENT EVIL 6 Platinum Trophy Congratulations! You've overcome all your fears in RESIDENT EVIL 6! Game enjoyment: 8 - 8.5 Trophies enjoyment: 6.5 - 7 Trophies difficulty: 5 - 5.5 Comment: And here RE6 plat as well. Many people criticize it for being more action based however, i still enjoyed this episode. The many characters available and their story crossing each other is a nice element. PS: Leon and Helena have the best arc.

Popular Post Kishnabe
Platinum #481: Resistance Burning Skies (Vita) Story was short, like 6 chapters. Took around 10 hours, 2-3 hours was deaths. Leviathan Boss pissed off, died liked 20 times (Hit Detection Sucked). It was fun, but it pales in comparison to Killzone Mercenary Graphically/Gameplay Wise. I thought I was playing a PSP game. Farming 18 mini bosses was easy at checkpoint in Chapter 6. Kill the 4, then jump off bridge in the next section. Did that 2 times to get it. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 5.5/10 Time: 10 Hours

Popular Post Phantochi
#223 - Call of Duty WW2 My history teacher didn't mention these quickscoping female soldiers in ww2. The multiplayer sucks, worst Cod multiplayer without a doubt, but everything else is great. Zombies is so much fun, and the campaign is a beautiful and rewarding experience. I would recommended this game just for the campaign, because it's a blockbuster experience in itself, while the multiplayer is one of tbe worst in cod history, the campaign is one the best. The gameplay was solid. Audio was mostly on point, and the all star acting cast (including Duhamel, Idris Elba, Scott Eastwood, etc...) was quite good, and the graphics were stellar. All in all, don't buy this game if your intention is to play the multiplayer. Edited December 20, 2020 by Phantochi

Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #72 - Gran Turismo 6 Difficulty Rating 5/10 Enjoyment Rating 7/10 Very Rare - 6.59% This is a journey that’s been in the works for a long time now, almost 3 years to be exact. Reason being is because I’m no good at car simulators, but the idea of them very much intrigues me. What went on throughout this journey is kind of a blur now, however I’ll do my best to try and collect my thoughts ? In Gran Turismo 6, you’ll be working your way through career mode until you have enough stars to eventually take on the S-License tests. This is where my first major obstacle would appear. All up to that point, I had little to no trouble winning races and getting gold times on the other license tests before S-Rank. Of course, given that I’m a total noob at this type of genre, I would play dirty to ensure my victory. This means ramming the AI off the road or cutting through grass when the game allowed it. I probably made it harder on myself than I had to, but I’m sitting here with the platinum now soooo shush you ? It didn’t help that I treated this as if it was an arcade style racer. Had I taken my time to learn all the ins and outs.. this game probably would of been completed sooner. I sure as hell had my fun along the way though. Playing with the wrong mindset, maybe, but I don’t regret how I approached it ? Try to imagine playing this with music from more high octane racing games. My custom soundtracks consisted of Daytona USA, SEGA Rally and various Ridge Racer titles. Anything to keep that noob spirit up ? I may be able to play Mario Kart in my sleep, but I can’t play Gran Turismo to save my own life. That being said, it was fairly easy even for me all up to the S-License tests. There are several other miscellaneous trophies as well, but nothing that can’t be achieved with the right car setup and a decent video guide. Just be prepared to put in a lot of busy work. I may be sitting next to the platinum now, but I was unable to complete the Aryton Senna DLC. I have 3 out of the 4 gold times needed, but that final one is just way too brutal ? And I barely managed the platinum without my ass getting royally scathed. I could always return to it and try again someday, but from my point of view I’m pretty damn satisfied with the platinum alone considering how much willpower it took me to get it. Will I ever play Gran Turismo 7 when it comes out? Hmm, perhaps ? But that would require a PS5.. and ain’t nobody getting their hands on one of those anytime soon. The future has many crossroads, but not as many as Gran Turismo can provide me. It made for an interesting journey, and I’m ready for the next one if it doesn’t ask much more from me than the last ?
Popular Post MrGarland
Platinum #100 (and 100% on DLC trophies) Difficulty: 3/10 Playtime: 25 hours Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Here it is, my 100th platinum. I mentioned earlier how I wanted this milestone to be special. While I did manage to get most of the work done on that, I eventually hit a brick wall, and I had to take a break for a few days because I started to lose focus. In that time, I began to work on other games, which included this. Perhaps it was a good thing, since this game has a lot of online trophies, but more about that later. As for the game itself, it was pretty good. Cruising around the city, finding events and collectibles, it was a good idea. As for the races and other events, none of them proved to be too hard or too easy, although one thing I find annoying is that there's no fast travel option. This means that whenever I want complete an event, I lose a race and such, I have to travel all the way there to start it. I also have a strong dislike to Marked Man events. Some of them are unfair because of the aggresive AI, meaning that it doesn't take too much before your car is wrecked and the event is failed. While I did most of them, the last few ones are such a pain in the ass to do, regardless what car I used, and that's one reason why I'm not doing a 100% playthrough on that game. At least I found all the collectibles in Big Surf Island DLC. If there's anything I've enjoyed about the games in the series, it's the music. But when it comes to music in this game, I might as well say this. The soundtrack in this game isn't that good. It's nice that there's a good song like Paradise City by Guns N' Roses as the theme song of the game, but the rest of the them aren't that memorable. It also has I Wanna Rock by Twisted Sister as one of the songs, but it doesn't sound like the one I've heard. Also, what's with all the classical music? I have nothing against that, but they didn't have to put that much of it. At least I finally found the song I've heard a long ago, but din't know the name of it (and that's Air from Bach). And yes, I realise there are licensing issues to deal with when it comes to music, but still. When it comes to online trophies, there's plenty of them. The good thing is that they're easy to get and won't take long with a boosting partner. The only annoying thing is that there are two trophies that requires 8 players. One in the platinum list, and one in the Bikes DLC. That's why I have to give a special thanks to @mw3-lover for helping me out with online trophies and wise-versa. With his help, getting all of them didn't take too long. Here's the usual platinum screenshot. Just like with my Knack 2 platinum screenshot, I really wish the timing could've been better. And that's all there's to it. While I enjoyed this, I still think that Burnout 3 Takedown is still my personal favourite. The gameplay was great, the soundtrack was awesome and overall, it was a lot of fun. Just compare the Showtime Road Rule from Paradise to Crash Mode to that game, and you know why. I'm planning to resume the game I planned to do as my 100th platinum soon, but that's likely going to happen after Christmas as I don't want to ruin the holiday with that. Hopefully I can get it done soon after that. In the meantime, I'll work on some other games. Edited December 26, 2020 by MrGarland

Popular Post KimBongUn420
#103: Adventurer Extraordinaire - Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana [PS4] Time: ~70 hours Platinum Difficulty: 4/10 Platinum Grind: 3.5/10 Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Bought this when it finally went on discount in the NA PS store a couple months back. I've never played any Ys games before but I do enjoy a good JRPG every now and then. This game ended up being a very pleasant surprise and I'll definitely be playing other games in the series. What's good: This game has one of the best soundtracks of any game I've ever played. I would recommend playing this game for the soundtrack alone - it really is spectacular. Story is also very good, if a little derivative. The characters are very well designed and the game does a good job of getting you to care about the backstory for each character and the combat system has some twists on FF-style combat to keep things interesting. The upgrade system for weapons and armor is matched with each story chapter so you're rarely, if ever, running around trying to farm items. What's weak: Flash guard and flash dodge system in combat. I found the timing on these moves to be REALLY inconsistent, especially on bosses with large AOE damage abilities. Hitboxes on some of the bosses are not super great either. The combat is still really fun, just feels like this system didn't really translate over well from the Vita version of the game to the PS4 one. Map can also be a slight pain to get around in certain spots. Is the platinum a grind: No. There are only about 5 missable trophies and I spent a total of 6-7 hours grinding outside of the main story. There are 38 optional side quests but they're spread out in blocks of 3 or 4 at a time throughout the 6 story chapters. Most of the side quests give pretty decent rewards too so they're worth doing. The game does a good job of pacing the story and there are a very small number of collectibles. The grind is nowhere near what you'd find in a Yakuza game for example. That being said, I would recommend playing this game with a guide so you don't accidentally miss anything. There is a difficulty trophy (must complete on Nightmare mode) but you can unlock it on NG+. A complete story run on nightmare with 200 reputation needed for the trophy takes roughly 8-10 hours, so it's not bad if you choose to do 2 playthroughs for the platinum. Overall, I really enjoyed it and highly recommend to JRPG fans or even those new to the genre. Edited December 21, 2020 by KimBongUn420
Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#442 - Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Another unfinished game I hadn't touched for a while and I'm glad I went back and finished it off. When I originally played the game I got a little bit burned out trying to A+ all the levels on Normal mode and these rankings along with the rest of the game in general felt a lot tougher than the original title. Played most of it on Vita but I switched to the PS4 version a few levels into Hard mode which helped tremendously after initially struggling with that difficulty on handheld. I love my Vita but I now wish I'd played the whole game on PS4. Thank goodness for the cross save feature. General thoughts on the game: It's great but I preferred the smaller levels and easier to follow narrative of the first game. Bigger isn't always better and I felt like the levels in this game were bloated for the sake of it plus I missed the many masks the first game had and the different abilities each offered.
