Popular Post Fleks_Mhteam
#281 SOULCALIBUR VI A New Story of Swords and Souls Time to Platinum: 30 Hours Difficulty: 3/10 (Subjective) Enjoyment: 9/10 Soulblade being one of the very first games I owned on the psx and basically the game that forged my love for 3d fighters, playing Soulcalibur VI was like a warm welcome home after a long winter in a tent. While the rather disappointing part V even though playing excellently had a serious lack of content and horrible matchmaking Project soul was able to pull off a sequel surpassing it on pretty much every point with a very restricted budget. SC6 is not the most beautiful game, character models are ok but not on a Tekken 7 level, backgrounds are hit and miss with some being quite nice and lively while others feel like a wasteland and load times can prove to be quite annoying sometimes. But the game makes up for it with a huge amount of content, two story modes one of them being a 10 hour long improved version of the beloved weapon master story mode, tons of fan service in form of artwork, videos, lore and probably the sharpest and most satisfying gameplay of the whole series.
Popular Post DoctorGameGeek
If only they programmed one in, but I'm counting it anyway. #20 (8th in the era of COVID) Genshin Impact: Difficulty: 3/10 There are plenty of game mechanics that prevent you from getting slaughtered well into mid-game. At a certain adventure rank, world quests are required to raise the level of bosses and mobs. The trade off is better, high-grade drops for difficulty, which really doesn't matter much for common enemies like hilichurls and the Treasure Hoarders. Bosses get harder naturally; however, I found that by this point, pretty much anything will slug you for big damage. If you learn enemy fighting patterns and can team up with other players, you can take pretty much whatever the game throws at you. The most difficult thing to get over long-term is the sheer grinding required in the game. Once you fully explore Mondstadt, Liyue, and now Dragonspine, you'll be repeating the same quests and duties again and again and again depending on what you need for the day: materials, experience books, Mora, weapon upgrades. It does get boring. I found that the Battle Pass and Adventurer's Handbook systems really help soothe the monotony. Enjoyment: 10/10 I couldn't put this game down. I think my PSN friends will tell you that. On a "light" day, I would knock out commissions and log out. Most other days I spent exploring, cooking, working on achievements, and stacking experience books and Mora. The co-op in this game is what really makes it shine. You can join folks whose world levels are equal to or below yours. While I would kick myself to advancing my world level too quickly, it just meant that I could team up with some real badasses out there. I don't think they're part of this community; if they were, I'd shout them out. With patch 1.02, you can actually use in-game chat features instead of just barging into someone's world and interrupting what they were doing. That, combined with the insanely active Discord community, means if you had to focus on one MMORPG right now, this is clearly the top contender. Gameplay, visuals, exploration, the MUSIC -- holy crap go get a soundtrack -- and the co-op: I think it got robbed of Game of the Year status. Who cares about Cyberpunk 2077?

Popular Post snakebit10
Bugsnax Master #332 What you see isn't always what you get. When Bugsnax was first reveled it was kinda cutesy looking and really didn't know what it was. I was a fan of Octodad and wanted to check this out also. It helped that it was the first PS5 game to be a plus game. I started it back at the beginning of December only for it to give way to Miles Morales. I came back to it at the end of December and here we are. It is darker in tone than what the looks of the game presents. It has it's funny moments but some of the story is darker. It was fun for it's time and glad I was able to catch them all.
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#343 - The Saboteur Complete all other trophies Complete all other trophies This is a game I've known about for ages, but for some reason I never got around to playing it. I'm glad I finally changed that because it was a blast (excuse the pun). While it has its similarities to something like GTA, the setting of Nazi-occupied France really sets it apart from a lot of the other games in the genre. I thought it was pretty cool how the game is mostly black and white until you start liberating areas from the Nazis which brings colour back to them. I also got a kick out of the main character and how blunt he is in the dialogue. He's an Irishman and wants everyone to know it. ? Playing through the story was a lot of fun, but when it came to the post-game cleanup for trophies, it did get a little tedious thanks to the 1300+ freeplay events scattered all over the map. Most of these events are Nazi structures you have to blow up, but also some other stuff like viewpoints you have to reach at the top of buildings, collectibles, etc. You have to do almost all of these for the platinum which takes a while as you would expect. Still. this is a very good game and it's a shame Pandemic (the game studio ) got closed down after this. They deserved better. I thought I'd share my favourite radio song in the game because why not? It's a banger. ?

Popular Post StraightVege
Nex Incarnate #251 3.27%Ultra Rare I've yet to dislike a Housemarque title—they create distilled gameplay romps that are my exact cup of tea, and it pleases me to say that Nex Machina continues their perfect streak. This an outstanding, almost flawless twin-stick shooter, and quite possibly their best production yet! From the moment I picked it up, I was strongly reminded of my youth getting destroyed in Robotron on an Atari, which makes sense, because I later found out one of its original developers (Eugene Jarvis) actually assisted Housemarque with the project. In contrast to much of the bloated, design by committee games in this industry, which attempt to blend a dozen different genres in the hopes of mass appeal, Nex Machina is a very pure, focused arcade experience. Simple in a good way, it knows exactly what it is, and it's better off for it. Without overly complex controls or a confusing mess of jumbled mechanics, I was able to just drop into a satisfying zone of dashing through intimidating enemy crowds and bullet hell projectiles, using my special weapon to survive by a thread, and not needing to really think about what my hands were doing. Dashing is the star mechanic here, capable of being used both defensively due to invincibility frames, and offensively with a power-up called dash explosion. I started off playing in a hesitant manner, but the game became more and more exciting as I gained the confidence to strategically dash in and out of mobs and boss bullet spray, causing ridiculous damage with the resulting blast, and following it up by unleashing a sub-weapon like the Smartbomb or Rocket Launcher. As you build skill and fall into a rhythm, Nex Machina's relentless action feels incredibly rewarding, not to mention addictive. As action games ought to be, it's also impressively fair; getting hit is almost always due to your own mistakes, even when facing the toughest bosses, and there's plenty of extra lives to find. Making a thoroughly challenging game that nearly never frustrates the player is a great accomplishment indeed! Occasionally, an enemy will spawn on top of you so quickly that you can't avoid it, and the top-down perspective can make it hard to spot incoming threats at times, but you learn to position yourself better on the next life. The way secondary weapon pick-ups work is somewhat irritating, however: upon breaking a weapon crate, the game slowly cycles through all six of them, forcing you to wait around for the one you need to appear (which is the Rocket Launcher or Smartbomb 90% of the time). You can probably imagine how this is an issue when you're being continually assaulted by robots. Another problem is that if you pick-up the weapon slightly too early or too late, it'll sometimes give you the weapon before or ahead of the one you intended. Getting stuck with a Sword when you wanted the Smartbomb can sabotage a good run. I wouldn't mind if it had additional worlds, either, since there's only six, and they become a bit stale when you've played them dozens of times across the various modes. Finally, I didn't care much about saving humans in this game; the timer to maintain a human combo is a little too short for my tastes, so I only bothered with this objective to earn the associated trophies, then largely ignored it. Fortunately, it's totally optional, unless you're chasing high scores. To be honest, though, none of the small negatives I covered detract from the game significantly. It runs well, has slick visuals, a driving synthwave soundtrack, and absolutely exhilarating gameplay—an underrated masterpiece of arcade game design, really. Play it immediately if you enjoy difficult, yet fair shmups of any kind! Housemarque is easily one of my favorite developers, and I sincerely hope their attempt to plant a foot in the mainstream with the upcoming "Returnal" delights me every bit as much as their fantastic work up until now. Here's my one-credit clear of the game on Experienced difficulty. I wasn't great at it yet when I recorded this (overly cautious), but a win is a win: Spoiler Platinum screenshot: Spoiler https://scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/136327711_1591032607747709_1471572641231020441_o.jpg?_nc_cat=110&ccb=2&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=AVErXPWsXfgAX-qFCIN&_nc_ht=scontent-lax3-1.xx&oh=117ba14e518e1ac777b125ab4b730160&oe=601B93CC

Popular Post DF007gamer
PLATINUM #171 STAR WARS JEDI: FALLEN ORDER A NEW HOPE ENJOYMENT - 8/10 PLAT DIFFICULTY - 3/10 PLAT HOURS - 35 HOURS PLAT RARITY 25.93% I really did not expect to enjoy this game as much as I did. I'm not a star wars nerd so the them not using proper lore 100% did not bother me at all. They gameplay mechanics felt fine to me and using some of the force abilities felt actually great. PROS for me is that I actually did engage in the story especially with the ship captain been funny as he was with his replies. If you did not rush through it and actually converse with the NPC's it had some funny moments. Fighting mechanics felt responsive and if I did get kill it was from my own stupidity. Bosses were memorable unless if you did it on a lower difficultly then it would have spoilt the fun. Graphics looked good enough for a PS4 with so moments where I would stop and just enjoy the view. Loved how each planet had a different feel to it with different enemies to fight. CONS for me has to be having no fast travel. I left every collectible for after the game as I could follow a guide to precisely pick each one. If you missed one then you had to do certain areas by travelling to the missed collectible would be a pain in the ass. I understand having no fast travel maybe during your first playthrough but at least they could unlock it after the final boss for the sake of collectibles. That was my only gripe was the fast travel. Otherwise I would recommend this to anyone who storyline games without missables and likes openworld clearing out items. Anyways happy trophy hunting?
Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #309 Flame Over 4th UR Platinum First Platinum 2021 Ultra Rare: 0.76% Difficulty: 8/10. Enjoyment: 10/10. Challenge: 9/10. Grind Difficulty: 9/10. Genre: Shooter, Simulator, Indie, Action and Erotic. Platinum Time: 5 days, and 13 hours. Let's begin. Oh yeah, I felt this fucking grind burnt my fingers on fire. Saving ALL people and cats without getting downed at all from start to finished. My hands felt shaky as hell and I never experienced this kind of painful UR platinum in my entire life. Most of the easy trophies was just the beginning but when you tasted the hardest ones you be fucked. Completing all Miss Ion's Missions was pretty well challenge and gonna say I nearly lost all my shit but I made a major comeback and completed in one whole session without quitting. I had to make 3 separate playthroughs to get the job done right. This I say, an indie with such great raw power and I am gonna put it to good used for my next platinum. This is my first and 4th UR platinum 2021 and that's called a double dosed combo surprised! I am very proud to say, this is my 4th UR platinum and I never felt this happier I accomplished pretty heavily then my previous UR Platinums I've collected. Would strongly recommended this sick challenge to anyone who can UR platinum this easily. Next Platinum: Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Popular Post sk_lp_him
#80 - Man of Medan Total Shocker! Collect all Trophies I liked it, the jumpscares in the first blind playthrough are very good. It's an easy plat once you learn the game and how you can kill off the characters for the specific trophies. The only thing I didn't like is the "keep calm" segments and so the hardest trophy for me was to calm down Junior. I hope these are a bit easier in Little Hope.
Popular Post PooPooBlast
#155 Hard Reset Redux From the polish developers Flying Wild Hog, they bring us a high octane first person shooter with robots! You play as a major called Fletcher in the year 2436 and robots have become EEEVIL. Solution - Kill bad robots. That's the story . Goes without saying that's not why the game was fun. The frenetic gameplay, the explosions/particle effects and the destructibility of the environment were the main selling points. You get two weapons BUT with alternate firing modes so basically you get the same arsenal of weapons a shooter has like an assault rifle, shotgun, grenade launcher, electric traps, homing missiles, etc which actually makes weapon switching on the fly a breeze and perfect when in the midst of action.. You might know the developers more for creating the Shadow Warrior reboot and if that game was up your alley, there's a very high chance this will too! With that said, the trophy lists are very similar... downright to having heroic mode :l . For those who don't know, the difficulty is jacked up to the highest (enemies are bullet sponges, you die easily in a few hits) and you get 1 life per chapter only (and each chapter is about 30-45 mins long). Thankfully, because I played on insane mode in my first playthrough (which is required anyway) and did a quick NG+ run on normal mode, you can say I was more or less prepped for enemy placements/what to expect. It was pretty challenging but I think it's pretty doable and if you got past Shadow Warrior, then this shouldn't give you as much trouble. Do I recommend this game? Absolutely! If first person shooters aren't your thing then I suppose you should pass on it. Edited January 6, 2021 by PooPooBlast
Popular Post Rick_Sanchez
Platinum 255 Fun: 1()/l0 Difficulty: 4/10 (although there is a shop to purchase trophies if you want) Nier Automata is an awesome action game developed by Platinum games (psst they're awesome at action games) and directed by Yoko Taro, a true genius of a director. You start out playing as 2B going through the ruins of a destroyed city helping the android resistance fight against the machines to secure Earth so humans (GLORY TO MANKIND) can come back living on Earth after having been driven to the Moon by an alien invasion. You'll be switching gameplay from a top down shooter, to a 3D action game, to a top down action game, to even a metroidvania style game here and there. Even with the genera shifts everything still works well with very little change in how you play. To truly experience the game, 3 full playthroughs are recommended. The 1st playthrough you'll be playing as 2B, then after that you'll play the story from start again but as her partner 9,S who isn't as good as a fighter as her but his skill to hack into enemies to deal damage is very useful. After those two playthroughs you'll continue the story from where it left off at the end of their stories. There is a lot to do in the game from collecting all weapons, upgrading all weapons, complete a majority of quests, a few miscellaneous trophies here and there, and obtain all 26 endings (warning 1 ending is permanently missable).

Cheers to many more On the first glance of trophy guide, i thought this was going to be a very long and troublesome platinum, but that wasn't realty a case. It was alright, story was good and probably the easiest MK entry in the series. Also nothing too difficult to be stressed about. I might've had some trouble with 2-3 strategy tutorials but nothing that couldn't be done with a bit of effort and practice. Really glad they brought back Noob, since he was my favorite char in MK9. Guest
Halloween Forever Enjoyment: 5/10 Difficulty: 6/10 A fun-enough action platformer that gets stupid. Pros: -8-bit graphics are always visually appealing -Decent enough platforming -Two playable characters are great -Trophies are straightforward -Halloween theme is fun, but... Cons: -Not at all used to its fullest potential. Outside of the pumpkin character and the Jason-like enemy, there isn't much actually themed for Halloween. There's mostly just generic enemies that are potentially 'spooky'. -World 3 and 4 are inarguably terrible. -Some extremely questionable hitboxes. -The skull-and-eyes and frog bosses can eat my taint. -Beating the game with every character (except one) is tedious, mostly due to a majority of the characters not being fun (or being just bad) to use, -1HP mode is an unnecessary trophy, mainly due to the game being designed to be bullshit. Enemies drop out of nowhere, you'll get mobbed, certain bosses are blatant bullshit, checkpoints are mainly right before or after bosses, among other reasons. The game isn't long so it's easy to memorize it, and you can get one extra life in each world, but I rarely felt like a death was 100% my fault in this mode. TL;DR: A decent action platformer that should be played through only once or twice, and that's assuming you're using the good characters.

Popular Post MrGarland
Platinum #101 Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 The last platinum of the year 2020. After some planning, I decided to play this. I knew this game was great, but I never guessed that I would enjoy this so much. I'm really going to miss this. It was so much fun. What more can be said of it, other than it's the best PSVR game, at least for the PS4. I'm looking forward to playing Astro's Playroom someday when I get a PS5. The platinum screenshot is also different, but better than last time. Platinum #102 Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 The year 2021 for me starts off with this. There's not much to say, since it's rather short game. Still, it was an unique experience. I'll also consider it as a hidden gem. There's also a VR mode, with a set of 3 trophies. I only have one thing to say about this mode: it was a magical experience. I'm bad when it comes to drawing and such, but this mode lets my inner artist out, if I put it that way. It was a great addition, but there's only one problem: it's too short. In fact, I completed it in about half an hour. I really wish you could play the whole game in VR, but whatever the reason for not to do that, I understand. Either way, it was a great experience. Both the game and the VR mode. My next project is this: Spoiler
