Popular Post Pinguim_Ocupado
#41 - MediEvil Savior of GallowmereUnlock all trophies. It was amazing playing this game again since childhood. The remake is pretty enjoyable, as the original! I just hope that someday they'll do a remake of MediEvil 2 too, my favourite. Can't wait to fight a dinossaur skeleton again, or creating a Frankenstein lol
Popular Post skeggah
One Piece: World Seeker (PS4) Better than reviews made it out to be IMO, gf and myself had quite fun with it. Time to mop up the DLC and call it a day! Tales of Xillia (PS3) This is the first Tales plat I ever got, clocked about 100 hours (over 7 years, haha) in it. It had a lot of tedious trophies, but I am really glad I stuck with it.

Popular Post starcrunch061
Plat #424 - Dragon's Dogma (PS4) The True Arisen Collected all other Dragon's Dogma trophies Well, this is my second time platting this game, and I don't dislike it, but boy - is it a mess. I think this game's genesis went something like this: some of the lower-tier developers were playing a WRPG, but not a good one. It was something like, say, Arcania or Two Worlds 2. They saw that it had potential, but was just a mess. So, they said, "We can make this better!" And...they still screwed it up. That's not to say that DD doesn't have potential, and even a few fun moments. I enjoyed the DLC that I never played on PS3. I still think the online Ur-Dragon is a cool idea. I like that quests have genuinely different outcomes, depending on your choices. I particularly liked the Julien end quest; you can kill him, and then raise him back to life. I like the idea of pawns learning how to better fight enemies by seeing techniques during battle. But boy - it often fails to work. Don't believe me? Just watch your idiot sorcerer pawn attempt to scale a boss with an insta-deth attack, as you furiously fail to call her back to your side. Marvel as your pawn will fail at the simple task of crossing a bridge, or even better, will literally suicide by jumping off of said bridge. And of course, enjoy as your attacks do absolutely nothing to the enemies in the DLC dungeon Bitterblack Isle, which is irrelevant, because you can just run past them. There are good ideas here. There is a good game here. It's just not the one I played. But...I played it twice, so that's something, and honestly, there's a part of me that wants to go back and optimize my characters. There's no reason to do this: I have done everything the game has to offer, on the hardest difficulty. And yet... Popular Post Viper
#215 Ghost of Tsushima Living Legend HoooOOOOooolllyyyY SHIT! ....was this game amazing! This. This right here is why I stick with PlayStation. Why I don't NEED another console. Sony first party games putting out this level of quality content. The characters, the voice acting, the acting, the super fluid combat, the gorgeous graphics, the deep storytelling, collectibles with a purpose...it all comes together in another Grand Slam hit for the PS4. I think the games strongest aspect here is the story and the way it's told. It's not just some random revenge plot, it's about a man wrestling with the idea of having to become something he doesn't want to be to save his home...a story we've heard before, but it's told in the best way possible. It's deep, layered, it has twists and has emotion, and you actually give a shit about everyone involved because all of these actors (a lot of whom you've seen in various movies) give VERY believable portrayals of their character. They all have weight and purpose on Jin's journey and no one feels unimportant or shoe horned in. The main villain, who was played by the guy who played Attila the Hun in the Night at the Museum movies...also gave us a fantastic performance as Khotun Khan, he was one of those villains that was conniving and manipulative, but was compelling and commanded your attention when he was on screen. The combat was very fluid as well...it's doesn't reinvent anything, as it uses the almost overused Perry/Dodge system you see too much these days. But all the action feels rewarding and dynamic. You have to switch stances based on enemy types, and you can really flesh out some battles when you get used to doing this constantly in battle. However, I will say, Sucker Punch tried really hard to keep things varried...so they make things a bit more difficult as you hit a new act. And by Act 3 the enemies were starting to feel a little cheap...there were a lot of times I knew for a fact that Jin should have perried but he gets hit anyways (and because you unlock a new gameplay mechanic by this point that requires not getting hit, it gets a little frustrating). And Standoffs, while one my favorite parts of the game....which is where you go one on one with an enemy and be the first to strike for a one hit kill (and you get more enemies as you level up)...also becomes frustrating in act 3 because the enemies are little TOO fast. You also have gadgets to use like Smoke Bombs or Kunai throwing knives...but I didn't use these as often as the game would have liked. I either stealthed by way through sections or focused on straight sword play when surrounded. Speaking of stealth...this might be one area the game lacks in. Not that it's not fun to do so...but the AI is kind of stupid. I played on Medium difficulty so I don't know if that changes on Hard or Lethal. But it's very very easy to NOT be seen, and that's even without charms that help keep you further undetected. There's times I've been right next to guys and they didn't react. All the AI seemed to be pumped into sword play combat a lot of enemies can be extremely deadly in this area. Absolutely brilliant game though, easily my Game of the Year for 2020 and probably a top 3 highlight of the entire 8th Generation of gaming. If it gets a sequel, it'd probably be Pre-order territory for me. But, I want Sucker Punch to give us a new inFAMOUS first!
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#346 - Megadimension Neptunia VII Megadimension Master Completed Neptunia VII! Finally got around to playing this one after sitting in the backlog for a good 5 years. It's not that different from the Re;Birth games I've played previously, but this is probably the most polished main entry in the series overall. Nothing remarkable, but it's a very solid JRPG. I did feel like there were some weird difficulty spikes, but other than that, it was an enjoyable experience. The cast of characters really help carry it, although I was disappointed to find out that there was no Plutia/Iris Heart in this game. The platinum didn't feel anywhere near as grindy as the previous entries did. The worst trophy was the one you get for collecting all of the cards, and that's thanks to the ultra rare ones. It involved a lot of saving and reloading to get them, but I feel like I got fairly lucky. Could have easily taken hours longer if things didn't go my way. There's also a trophy for finding all of the hidden treasure which involved sending scouts to that location and then completing a challenge in the area. Some of these could be annoying, and there are a lot of them, but it wasn't that bad. It was a pretty simple plat overall.

Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#334: Know-All Alright, another PS PLUS game finished! It more smoother ride that Frantics, though still pretty annoying. LSS, it's a fun wacky quirky quiz game, mostly straightforward, plus a gimmick here and there. It does get tedious at times, with the lack of customization options like turning items off and skipping cutscenes, but hey, no trophy based on luck, so that's plus. I thought about maybe getting all the Playlink platinums, but I'm not too sure now. I will probably finish up the ones I have and leave it at that.

rjkclarke
Platinum # 302 WWE 2K20 All Trophies Earned Earn all trophies. I have a feeling I lucked out a little bit with this one by starting it after it had at least had a few patches. Not that this really helped all that much. Luckily I didn't seem to have any of the odd graphical glitches that quite a few people did early on. where peoples faces were melting together or ones like that famous AC: Unity one from a few years ago. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this game at launch, which is putting it mildly. I remember thinking a few times whilst playing it that I have seen better looking PS2 games than this. There are a few cutscenes in the game that really reminded me of the blocky animation from the early 2000's GTA titles. That isn't an attack on them, more an attack on this game for having animation and cutscenes like that in a late era PS4 title released in late 2019, that is kind of unacceptable. To give it a little bit of context I played Hitman 2 not that long ago and there are literally pedestrian NPC's in the Miami map (which is quite a crowded map if anyone is unfamiliar) that look better than 90% of the in-game models in 2K20, where there is usually a maximum of 8 people on screen at once. However, even though the graphics were very poor, the game at least does run quite smooth on the latest patch. I was playing on a 500GB base PS4. I only ever experienced very low frame rate a few times when there were multiple people in the ring at once. But I suppose I can't really say anything that new about how awful the game is. Because that just seems to old hat at this point, but I did actually enjoy MOST of my time with it, but I'll get to that haha. Trophywise, the game is not particularly hard at all. There are a few trophies that I found a little finicky that should have unlocked but didn't at first. Thankfully it was just a case of going back and doing the same thing again until they unlocked. Obviously if anyone does want to platinum this most of the difficulty is probably going to come from grinding out the 50 online wins (which can be done against the CPU thankfully at the monthly PPV events, seems the least taxing way to approach it). The game does sort of force you to see mostly all the features a game has I always think games deserve bonus points for that!! Although, please don't leave MyCareer until last I found it quite torturous to be honest. The best analogy I can think of for how the story is written is if several really daft monkeys were left in a room with a few typewriters, a limited amount of ink and a whole lot of paper and a fairly limited amount of time, in which they bashed away at the keys for a while maybe made the odd word here and there and then decided to just throw their feces at the paper for the rest of the time before the paper was removed and turned into the script for the story line in that mode.

Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #117 Crash Bandicoot Rare: 10.25% Difficulty: 6/10. Enjoyment: 9/10. Challenge: 9/10. Music Remake: 8/10. Grind Difficulty: 8/10. Genre: Platform, Action, Fantasy, Science-Fiction and Historical. Platinum Time: 21 hours and 12 minutes. This is when I earned Platinum #117 last year in April 2020 and I wanna make up the loss time and my reason for it was I was new at the time and wanna give this a good treatment 1/3 out of it so yeah. Let's begin: I gonna say, this was harder then I expected to be out of the first Crash Bandicoot remake and I will admit, Time Relics was new to the first game and it was tricky as fuck and High Road was one of em. Getting Color Gems was a challenge but I know this as a Veteran back in the old era and knowing the same old areas very well including the grey gems too.. Music Remake: The remake of the music is pretty good and re-tune the new style to it and it would of been nice if they updated and let's you change music to Old School Music and I would of given it a Perfect 10 for it. It is still nice to listen the remake music for a change. Stormy Ascent: Here's the best and worst part of it. That Stage was annoying as fuck and I couldn't even breathe through that hardcore challenge and made me lose my shit however I am willing to give it a second chance and complete it's DLC at 100% Completion for grey gem and gold/platinum relic to it. Would definitely recommended this game to anyone for a real and hard challenge to go for the first game. Next Platinum: ???
Popular Post TheDragonfly44
My most recent ones have been Battlefield V, Erica and Far Cry New Dawn. None of them were particularly difficult and im thankful for the guys who helped me out with Battlefield and Far Cry. Most fun all around was Far Cry New Dawn and i wish it wasn't so short. Battlefield was surprisingly fun although some of the hardcore sections in the campaign really kicked my ass. Erica was good too but the plot doesn't make much sense and having to play it so many times definitely wore me out. Overall id rate Far Cry New Dawn an 81/100, Battlefield V a 76/100 and Erica a 74/100. Recommend them all tbh
Popular Post Trini
#140 - Immortals Fenyx Rising This game, in my opinion, exemplifies why you should withhold any form of judgment before playing a game. Before its release, I had absolutely no interest in this title, and being within the minority that played and dislike BOTW, I figured immortals would be cut from the same cloth due to certain game mechanics, as well s the art style. One day, my gf and I decided to give it a chance, and to our surprise, we were amazed at how invested we were within the first hour or two. The world began to unfold pretty quickly and we began to love mostly everything about it, which was weird considering BOTW didn't capture me nearly as much. It goes without saying that the graphics are gorgeous, and the combat, while simple, felt very stylish and engaging. The vaults were a bit much, but overall the puzzle aspect of it was fun, although some were annoying to complete. The narrating between Zeus and Prometheus was a radiant, comedic touch that kept the momentum throughout the game, and I enjoyed every min of it. I would say overall it still has much room to maximize its potential, but it was a really fun game nevertheless. Bottom line, if I had to choose a sequel for a Ubisoft game it would be immortals 2, no questions asked.

Popular Post SirDave1988
# 123 Middle Earth - Shadow Of Mordor (PS4 played through PS5) Master of MordorOne has walked in Mordor. First platinum of 2021 down in what I like to call Middle Earth : Arkham Asylum. Yeah, the gameplay of this reminded heavily of the Batman Arkham series of games, like it's basically identical, which I suppose isn't a bad thing, and kind of logical since both are WB Games projects. Overall, I enjoyed the game and I liked how it tied in well with the larger Lord Of The Rings story. Without that context, I'm not sure how enjoyable the game is though. The graphics were not too bad considering it is around 6 years old at this point and the trophies were a good enjoyable mix of story, side stuff, collectables and of course, the Nemesis system which I didn't fully understand until right towards the end but I like what they did with it. The game mostly ran absolutely fine on the PS5, however there was one Sword Legend mission that simply would not work for me no matter what I tried or when I tried it. So, I had to upload the saved data to the cloud, use my old PS4, install the game on there, do the mission (which worked fine on the PS4), quit the game, upload to the cloud, go back to the PS5, download the new saved data and continue on. What a pain that was haha. I believe this is the first plat I have earned for a game that isn't on the platform that it was released on, which is a bit weird but cool. There weren't too many PS5 enhancements that I could see as well tbf, maybe slightly improved load times, but that was about it, didn't detract from anything though, was still a good game. Popular Post Celestial_Lily
Platinum #61 - Maneater (PS5) Difficulty: 2/10 This game was free with PS+ last month so I thought I would give it a go! I heard it was at least a little bit fun. - And it was, eventually. In short bursts. Unfortunately I found it really repetitive and tiresome, especially when grinding up Infamy levels. The fact that every human hunter had lock on made it so you had to spam dodge to survive and it really made fighting hunters and boats extremely tedious and not at all fun. It was a bit cool to see the evolution! And see my sharky self get more badass looking. But that didn't outweigh the monotony of the tasks. Go into a new area, do the same things, leave. And it unfortunately wasn't offset by cool abilities or anything since well, you're a shark there's only so much you can do. In short, I'm glad it was free, and a super quick platinum (I think it took me around 9 - 9.5 hours)
Popular Post guy_flies
EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM Last of Us Part 2 My second playthrough. Cleaning up the missed collectibles from the first time around. And I'm glad I did. The story, while heavy, is fantastic. As are the performances, and the design. I don't think I can bare another playthrough for a while, but I want to revisit this again in the future (hopefully a PS5 update down the track). I can not wait for the next Naughty Dog creation! I had a close call with a trophy glitch. I got my final artifact and triggered both the final trophy, and the platinum pop. But when I looked at my trophy afterwards both were missing. I reloaded the save and went to the artifact location but it was missing, instead registered as being found. I was very frustrated thinking I'd have that incomplete game on my profile. A day later I re-checked my trophy list and the platinum was back!!
