Guest
Little Nightmares 2 Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I don't know what this genre of game is called, but we need more of it. Pros: -Adorable and freakish art-style, with fantastic world design -Intriguing story, even though not a single thing is explained. Even though it's short, so many moments stick out to me as great. -The puzzles, almost escape-the-room-esque, is second only to Inside. Truly delightful stuff, but it's hard to top the master. If they make another one I believe they'll have a chance. -The enemies, especially the big-baddies of every level/chapter are wonderfully designed. -Chapter 3 scared the literal shit out of me. -The non-story trophies are genuinely fun to do, and some were a great way to add a bit of humor into a clearly depressed world. -Not too many collectibles and they're easy enough to collect, but... Cons: -While having chapter select is great compared to other games, I often found myself missing the collectible toward the end of the chapter. Obviously this is a personal experience and therefore a personal annoyance, but it would've been nice to have something like a scene selection and not just chapter select. -The AI is sometimes not great. I saw multiple enemies get stuck on walls or just bluntly glitch, but it was nothing gamebreaking. TL;DR: Right alongside the original, Little Nightmares 2 will give you the spooky joy that everyone needs.

postofficebuddy
Platinum #127: BlazBlue Central Fiction Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 5.5/10 Honestly completing all of one characters challenges wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. Susano’s challenges are quite easy and I didn’t really have any trouble with speedstar mode either. The story ends on kind of a depressing note but it was an interesting story regardless IMO. Thanks to Copanele for the assist with the online.

Popular Post Trumpet_Boi_208
#26: Rain World. Enjoyment: 8.5/10 - I feel somewhat mixed when it comes to this game. It’s pretty hard, and often unfair, creating moments of red hot, passionate rage. However, even after these moments, I’m still reminded of why this game is so fun and brilliantly made. There are so many good things to be said about this game. -The game looks amazing, and runs mostly at 60 FPS, dipping only in the most chaotic moments. -Being fragile as a slugcat makes every hostile encounter tense and exhilarating. -The AI is amazing, with every creature having a set goal, and doing their own thing, even off screen. However, they occasionally act a little weird in a buggy way, but those were rare. -There is a great ecosystem here, with a clear food chain present at all times, making the world more immersive and believable. -There is a lot of lore to uncover, if you can endure taking colored pearls to an NPC all the time. -You can tame lizards, and have them follow you around. One of the cutest moments I’ve ever seen. -There is a deep movement system in place. You can roll, slide, water-hop, backflip, throw boost, and even smoothly combine some of these together. -Your progression is natural, rather than artificial, making this game incredibly rewarding to get better at. -I personally really like the trophy list, as it encourages you to do things you wouldn’t often do in a game, such as taming lizards, killing one of each type of lizard, maxing out reputation with scavengers, spending cycles without killing, doing unnecessary killing, eating only meat, avoiding meat consumption, and visiting every region at least once, to name a few. Difficulty: 7/10 - Like I said earlier, this is a hard game. Enemies can kill you if you make one false move, and just about everything is hostile towards you. The trophies don’t make this any easier, since you’re often required to survive many cycles in a row in certain ways without dying. (Dying reverts progress by a small amount.) Backing up your save does make this easier, but not by much. You will have to get better at this game to get the platinum. If I didn’t have the ability to back up my saves, this would easily be an 8-9/10. While doing it does make the game easier, I highly recommend against ignoring it, because you will often die in ways that are completely out of your control, and can make it very frustrating to get past certain sections. I personally see it more as a backup that improves the experience, rather than a crutch that hinders it, since the game is still pretty hard, but not absurdly frustrating. Overall: A very fun game, with a good trophy list, that is also very niche in it’s difficulty. If you have the patience to get better, and to endure some unfair deaths, then Rain World is a fantastic experience that will stick around in your head. Very underrated IMO.

Popular Post AccessEngage21
#129 InFamous Difficulty: 6,8/10 Fun Factor: 8/10 Rarity: 11.12% Time in Total: 4 Years, 3 Weeks Ok then, once again, i try to get some time to invest in some platinum getting, this one is actually really especial, after literally 4 years since the last time i play it (since i have like a mountain of ps vita games at the time and was not that hardcore in ps3 like i am now) finally finish the first title of sucker punch in the ps3 generation so, what about infamous then?, good old superhero type "open world game" with the a simple yet decent "good/bad" system in the karma one (doing good stuff make your powers more effective to reduce opponents and the evil one just give your powers that "destroy everyone and everyone" effect). The graphics looks nice by the time (2009) and empire city looks ok for the most time, just kinda boring to watch, also didnt help that the game runs all over the place, some times runs fine, some times, goes for barely 15 fps or less. The music is good, actually be on tone with the actions scenes and the sounds effects are excellent as well the gameplay probably is the best part of the game, having a protogonist that is able to climb, moving around or even moving through rails and cables is really cool, also the fighting in general is pretty soild too, all the powers you can gain by either good or evil karma can be useful in battle, since the enemies are made to make full use of them, you got all type of them, from lighting rays to shock grenades, magnetic shield, precision shots, etc, a really cool arsenal of weapons at disposal so yeah, pretty great game in general, even with the framerate issues, so now, a little extra story, i have this game a long time ago, once of the first one i bought for the ps3 in fact, sadly for some weird reason i didnt remember (maybe because i was playing a bunch of vita games at the time) or probably the fact that was so burn out of ps3 that i want to quit it for a while and sadly, this was the one that i left behind (with a whole bunch of other ones), but after 4 years, i decide to finally put a end to this, first by finally beat it with good karma to then beat the game in hard with the evil karma, both runs where fairly simple to do (even if some missions are difficult in normal and way more in hard), was a lot easier that others games or platinums that i remember (xcom: the Bureal for example) still, im glad that i manage to finish it after all this time, definitely worth it

Despite some negatives I had a lot of fun going back and completing this game and getting One True King as my 1337 trophy is cooler than most of the stuff I've accomplished as a gamer honestly.
Popular Post Whitelightnin683
#213 Ys IX: Monstrum Nox King of the MonstrumsFinish "Balduq Prison" by Adol Christin in its entirety by earning all Trophies. Enjoyment: 10/10 Time: ~80 hrs Difficulty: 4/10 Ys 8 set the bar high for this series and 9 meets it every step of the way. This time around, our beloved adventurer Adol and his longtime traveling companion Dogi find themselves in the Prison City of Baldug where Adol uncovers a dark secret lurking within it's depths, and with help of newfound allies and powers, thwart it before it consumes the city. While it doesn't compare to Isle of Seiren in Ys 8, Balduq is still fun to explore with the new mechanics "Gifts" that allow Adol and the party to wall run, grapple, glide, and even dive to get to normally unaccessible areas. The story is just as good if not better than 8 and throws in more references to previous Ys games than I was expecting. It feels like there is also more voiced dialogue lines in this game compared to previous games. The combat has not changed much from from it's predecessor and is still as satisfying and simple to pick up even for a newcomer, but still is hard to master. For those wanting a bit of a challenge and to get the plat in one playthrough (like I did), its recommended to start on Nightmare as the game isn't overly difficult on the lower settings, but do be mindful of the missable trophies. Might be too early to say at this point, but I feel 9 will be another classic Ys game for the years to come.

Popular Post yellowwindow7
Heart of Hollownest / Hollow Knight after i done with this game i deleted it instantly, and gonna takes a break from these annoying hard ass games! this game is really good and runs perfectly fine and all, but i did not enjoyed it that much, i died a lot's and lost my money a lot, everything wants you dead, for a clueless player like me who played it for the first time you can't explore a new area before a boss jump on you and locks the exits, you can't beat a boss before it kills you 10 or 20 times, the multiple deaths made me rage quit the game for a quite some time and when i return to it i forgot the location of all the weak walls and floors to break them and explore deeper and this have gave me a hard time to find all the enemies and hidden areas. i didn't follow a guide until near end of the game, and thanks to that i wondered to the DLC's without knowing thinking it was a part of the base game and so i noticed the difficulty spikes rise'd even more than the already hard game.. though, surprisingly i kinda liked the Grimm Troupe ( first ) boss fight.. you can skip the second if you like. but nothing, i mean NOTHING! can top the nonsense that is the Pantheon of Hollownest.... beating 40 super fast boss fights in one sitting and dying will send you all the way from the start, hat's off to whoever did all of that bullshit without the invincibility glitch, you sir/ma'am are one badass bug! ? speaking of the invincibility glitch i used it..... what? you think i'm that good with this game and never cheated?? i used it on the dream boss fights, the stupid trail of fool and of course the pantheon of boss rush or something, after i experience the shear difficulty on that pantheon of hollownest DLC and going back to the base game's final boss fight i felt the two bosses move way too slowly and easier in comparison since i used the invincibility glitch to learn how to dodge the bosses most of the time because even with this glitch is on i was still playing the game as if i'm not using it, trying to dodge and all of that. this is a bit sad, the characters in the game are so cute looking and for that the game may attract even the casual players... until they witness the stupid SOULS-LIKE and harsh death penalty nature that will drive them away, i have a few people in my friends list that played this game and put it away halfway and never return to it because how frustrated they got with the game, why does it have to be this difficult, why can't be fair? like Shantae series or this other cool metrovania i also got as a PS Plus game Iconoclasts that is not a SOULS-LIKE? now that i played this till i grew bored of it, i don't think i'm interested in the upcoming sequel Silksong, i heard it'll be console exclusive for the Switch which is absurd if you ask me, well at least i'm not interested on it so be it. not saying that Hollow Knight is a bad game, Far From it. the game is really good if you only play it for.. well, Gameplay. but trophy wise you might gonna hate it, especially if you wanna 100% it without the invincibility glitch. though i loved the characters, the writings and the soundtracks. Popular Post StrayEidolon
#96: Borderlands I started playing this over a decade ago with my lil sis. It was great fun. We left our characters at level 46 with only the level 50 trophy needed for the platinum. Strangely I've been saving it for my 96th platinum because that's the year she was born. Getting those last few levels definitely highlighted to me that I would never play a Borderlands game solo. Ugh... Anyway, I played a Firefly Lilith build. It was awesome burning the bandits to ashes but it sure causes a lot of screaming! I haven't touched the DLC. I doubt I ever will. Don't know when I'll even get to the rest of the series either. I hear that Borderlands 2 is the best of the series? Maya looks very cool.

Popular Post StraightVege
The Never-Ending Nightmare #260 | Resident Evil Revelations 2 Sort of an odd duck for the franchise, but a very interesting game as a result. It features an episodic model, a seemingly SAW-inspired story/setting, two characters to control, and dual campaigns where your actions in one affect the other. I previously never paid much notice to RE's convoluted and over-the-top plot, but Rev2's setup was actually compelling enough to hold my attention. Long story short, Claire Redfield and Moira Burton are abducted, injected with a virus that activates in response to extreme fear, and held captive on an island full of mutants and deathtraps. They wake up wearing bracelets which indicate their fear levels, with the mysterious antagonist taunting them via a built-in radio. The idea is that if they become too afraid, they'll transform into monstrosities themselves. Sometime later, Barry—Moira's father and fan favorite from the original game—travels to the island in search of his daughter, and meets a strange child with preternatural abilities (Natalia) who becomes his companion. Instead of taking itself too seriously, Revelations 2 has a ton of fun with the script, fully embracing the old RE B-movie style, with plenty of cringe-inducing puns and amusing references to past games. A wise decision to double down on the stupidity! The personal stuff between Barry and Moira was pretty endearing, and the villain's motivations were quite interesting. Decent writing all around, with a lot of reverence shown for the history of the series, and good character development. One character acts as a support class (Moira/Natalia), intended mainly to stun enemies or point out their positions for the combat-focused character (Claire/Barry). This would obviously be best experienced in cooperative mode, but it also works fairly well for a solo player, because despite some absolutely braindead behavior by the Al partner on occasion, they can usually take care of themselves fairly well. Unlike 4 (and 5 at times), it never felt like an aggravating escort mission. There's some clever puzzle design involving character-switching, as well, and having two characters makes inventory management less of a chore, since you can use one of them to bank items. The interplay between the two scenarios is simple, but adds some nice gameplay wrinkles and replay value. In one example, turning on a fire trap as Claire will protect Moira as she opens a door, but it only makes the situation more difficult for Barry in the future. You can also help Barry out, by opening optional paths that will lead to goodies, or even preemptively defeating a tough boss so he doesn't have to deal with it later. They experimented with some cool ideas here. It has its rough edges, though, and I suspect some corners were cut. The graphics look quite dated, and there's some clunkiness with the camera and controls. Aiming can be really weird, sprinting while moving the camera feels super stiff, and dropping from ledges is often awkward: in some cases, it's all too easy to fall to your death, while other times your character will refuse to step off when you want them to. Enemies are capable of magnet grabbing you from a significant distance, which can be infuriating. One monster is not only invisible, but kills you instantly—I'm not a fan. You fight the same few enemy variants throughout the game, too, so it becomes repetitive; more creature types were sorely needed. Overall, it feels like a title made on the lower budget end, and maybe the episodic development played a role in that. Yet, there's a certain charm to the janky aspects, which reminds me of old horror games. They did implement several useful combat options, which can even be upgraded between episodes. I love the dodge maneuver and the melee system in this game, and I'm sure I'll notice their absence in other RE titles. There are also a few additional game modes on offer—Raid, Countdown, and Invisible Enemy. I had some enjoyment with Countdown, a timed speedrun mode, but Raid was just a weaker version of Mercenaries, and Invisible Enemy is even more abominable here than it was in Remake. Please stop putting this mode in your games! Say what you will about it testing the player's knowledge of enemy spawns, but it's simply painful to play. Easily the worst part of earning platinum. Perhaps Revelations 2 isn't the most polished game, but it was surprisingly the most fun I've had with this series since RE1 Remake, and could be the most underappreciated title in the RE catalog. I'll probably regret finishing it before Revelations 1, as I've heard that's a far inferior game. Usually, I won't play a series out of order, but Rev1 has at least one online trophy, so I decided to make an exception. Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Two series completed! Platinum Nos. 209 & 210! The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV Divine Blade I finished the two runs during the Christmas holidays, and then I stopped before the final boss on Nightmare difficulty because I wanted to put this trophy as a milestone (9.000th)! This series (especially the Cold Steel arc) is really huge, but sometimes there are really bad pacing. Probably Falcom could have cut down some useless chapters and made a single game from ToCS III e IV. I mean, I got almost all the battle trophies during the first two chapters, which weren't also really good (especially the 2nd) and the boss fights were a joke, since all of them leave the battle when you reduce their HPs to half gauge... Seriously? Chapter 3 and the final one raise the story quality (and also Rean's harem... ). The combat system is really good (and I really thank the fast speed mode. These games are really slow and I don't know how I could play them without it), and also exploring the Erebonian Empire (both the previous place of the 3rd game, like Parm and Saint-Ark, but also new little towns). Too many minigames: the Blade game was really fun, and I don't know why Falcom replaced it with the Vantage Master. Too many fights (something like 36 battles!), while the Pom Pom mimigame was fun (probably because I really enjoyed the Dr. Robotnik Mean Bean Machine from the Sonic collection! ). Also the soundtrack is really good: listinening to their music from the first game (which is an excellent and heterogeneous ost), the second entry (just a little bit down compared to the first episode, but always really good. There's my favourite final dungeon theme: Phantasmal blaze), you can hear a new and different direction with the huge ost of the 3rd game (more homogeneous, but good town themes, like Saint-Ark, Parm, Hamel) and finally the end of the saga (again, more homogeneous and a lot of good tracks, but also some tracks which I think are wrong. Melancholic field themes). But there's a new version of the Mystic Core!!! I stayed "only" one hour in this dungeon, since this music doesn't stop: it's more electronic, but my favourite version is the Ao no Kiseki Evolution version, with the guitar riffs. Too bad that the ost cover is quite anonymous... And finally the platinum screenshot! See you again in Hajimari no Kiseki! Little Nightmares II Primetime content consumer Another series completed! I really enjoyed the first game: the story, the characters, the atmosphere of the Maw, the music, and also the DLCs, which added more contents to the story. The trophy list of the first game was more difficult (especially for the Hard to the core, which requires to beat the game under 1 hour with no deaths. I didn't know that you could stop and back up the save after every chapter, so I made it during a "practice run" in one sit... And I was surprised when the trophy appeared!), while the list of this game is really easy (and there's a platinum). But the game is much more better: new places, references to the first game (for example, the first time you see the Hunter is quite similar to the first time that you see the Janitor in the first game), new ugly bosses (especially the Teacher and the Doctor), and sometimes there are places which are taken from games like Resident Evil or The Evil Within. I mean, look at this picture the Hospital is really scaring ! I was a little bit confused by the ending, so I went to read a couple of explanations (which confirmed my hypotheses), so I hope there will be more content (like DLCs) or a third game!! Platinum screenshot in tha Pale Town with these two kids. "I'll never let you go!" Edited February 13, 2021 by Phoenix_argentea
Popular Post DamagingRob
#508- Control Director of the FBC Unlock all other trophies Well... I don't know if I'd recommend playing this on a base PS4. Lol. Frame rate and loading screens are pretty awful. I tried to play it normally, actually not even knowing about Assist Mode at first. But after dying and sitting through another long load screen, I searched for difficulty settings and learned of it. Makes the technical problems a lot easier to bear, though also removes all difficulty. Other than maybe navigating, I guess. And unless you use Assist Mode and rush through everything, I don't know how you finish this in 15 hours. Almost like the guide expects you to. So it felt a lot longer than I bargained for, as well. Those issues aside, it's pretty good. Kinda creepy, and gave me Beyond: Two Souls vibes. I really couldn't be bothered to read/listen to every single collectible, because there are so frickin' many of them.. But I did really like the Threshold Kids ones. So creepy. The powers you get are fun to play with. Picking up objects and throwing them at enemies and levitating. Different guns. All I got to say, really. Platinum image: Spoiler Also included the trophy prior to the plat, since it has a clearer image of my outfit.
Popular Post Deluziion90
#356 - Little Nightmares 2 Primetime Content ConsumerYour life is now free of challenges. Congratulations All 35 Trophies 13th February 2021 • Platinum in 21 hours, 40 minutes Fun: 10/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Total Time to platinum: ~7hrs I'm a huge fan when it comes to Little Nightmares and Inside I just love these games. The story however is just like the first one. You're always asking yourself what the hell is happening and the internet is filled with theories. Everyone has there own idea what the ending means and what's happening in the game. I'll leave it by that as I don't want to spoil anything this game has to offer. The game is €34,99 which is a lot for the content you get but in my eyes this is all quality > quantity. I've paid over €100 for AC: Valhalla Ultimate Edition but 50hrs in that game I'm just running around collecting the same stuff over and over. So in my eyes playing a game for 7hrs which has me on the edge of my seat the whole ride is well worth my money. Platinum Image as I thought it was kinda cute
