Yeah its hard, and require a lot of dedication to master every single level, but the platinum trophy in the end is a big pay off.

Popular Post Starrk_01
Plat #186: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS4) Probably could have done this platinum in a week but I had a challenge for myself to get a trophy for every day in February (and still going lol), so I saved some of the easy trophies like a "rainy day" fund. Already plat'ed this on the PS3, but was still fun and nostalgic as hell.

Popular Post Zach
#186 Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 2.5/10 Time: 15hrs Honestly, I thought this was going to be a 9.5 or even a 9 out of 10 because the game is so short. 15 hours completion time even includes the new game plus playthrough required for the platinum. But I was so wrong. The story and characters DEFINTELY make up for the story length. I can't say much due the easily spoilable nature of the game, but the story is so worth the price of admission. If you loved Spider-Man 2018, you'll love this game without a doubt. Mile's different abilities keeps the gameplay interesting and fun as well!

Popular Post Redgrave
#207: Is That All You Got? - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Another classic from the PS3 that I'm glad got remastered so I can Platinum it. I actually got really close to getting the Platinum on the PS3 version since all I needed were all the Spec-Ops Stars and one other misc trophy but unfortunately at the time the person that was supposed to help me chose to be an ass and fail the missions intentionally, and for some reason I never bothered going for them again probably because I couldn't find anyone else to help. But now that the remaster was made I finally got to get the Platinum a long time in the making. ? I found it to be just as good as the first game's remaster with the only real issue I had was there wasn't a way to adjust the music so that way I could hear it better. There were some moments where in the original I loved replaying because the music was so good, particularly the music in The Gulag and Of Their Own Accord where you're controlling the choppers gun at the end. In the remaster it felt like they made the game audio louder than the music which is fine but as far as I could tell there wasn't really a way to adjust it. Either way it was great playing this again and I still hope that we can get World at War and Black Ops remasters at some point.
Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #86 - Gal*Gun Double Peace (European Version) True Gal*Gun Master - Unlock All Trophies 6,643 Owners - 388 Achievers for a percentage of 5.83% (average completion; 19.10%) Enjoyment; 9/10 Difficulty; 2/10 Trophies; 2/10 (recycled tiles, repetitive names, unimaginative requirements) Desire to dip in the Sakurazaki pool; 10/10 Ah yes, it has been waaaaaay too long since my last anime game! Well, only three months, but that qualifies as long to me. And over eight months since the last anime game dedicated to.... uh.... natural beauty. Yeah, let's put it that way. Anyway, no beating around the bush; it's Gal*Gun. Everyone has probably heard of this series by now as those in favour of Sony's puritan content policies often cite it as an example of Japanese transgressions against the West's new-found obsession with being puritanical. If you agree with subtle censorship of such kind and dislike these types of games, please do disregard the rest of my post as it will be of little interest to you. But for those of you who are connoisseurs of quirky Japanese titles (I see those anime avatars, I love you guys), gimme a high five and read on! I had to very, very carefully select a gameplay screenshot to share in this post, because most of Gal*Gun's content is rather.... disagreeable to the untrained Western eye. For its entire runtime, you are being besieged by women madly in love with you as a result of getting shot by a dual-pistol-wielding cupid, while your only hope is to shoot these hopeful gals with what the game calls pheromones. Don't question it or your head will hurt. The gameplay is ecchi at best and.... something beyond that at worst, so it's not hard to see quite why this title has become the hobby horse of people who aren't keen on the anime tiddie genre. But is it fair of that crowd to pick on Gal*Gun? In a way, yes; you do see the game's extensive cast in all manner of compromising poses and the gameplay is completely subservient to fanservice. But then I can't help but feel that there was zero malicious intent on the part of the developers; if anything, the game feels like a way of making up for a loveless and lonely IRL time in high school (and let's be honest, I think a lot of people can relate to that) and perhaps even a form of cathartic self-therapy for the devs. That's not to say that this is an amazing gane though; for how much you can tell it was a labour of love, Gal*Gun recycles A LOT; character models, animations, environments, heck, pretty much every art asset you see here will pop up many, many times throughout the story's three hour runtime. There are only two mid-story bosses and they are recycled across every. single. route. Three hours sounds short, but then Gal*Gun is a route-based rail shooter with six distinct paths to take and multiple endings to each of them - I myself cleared the bloody game 17(!) times on my way to the Plat and that was with copious amounts of save-scumming included! And you really do need to leverage saves as well as you can; the Trophies (Data Gatherer specifically) require you to fill your in-game encyclopedia with the outfits, measurements (yeah, this is a bit too much even for me), and trivia of every single girl in the game - of which there are dozens. It's a pretty grindy route to the Platinum, I'm not gonna lie; there are 75 girls in the game by my counting, and all of them need to have two-thirds of their profile completed. If you don't vigorously make saves to come back and hoover up their outfits, you will be forced to play through the Unseen Destiny route to see the character-specific endings of all of them. With skipping and save-scumming, I still racked up about 28 in-game hours for a 39 (1-3-17-18) Trophy return. I also took fault with some of the story choices; I know this is a lewd game and all, but the dialogue leaned really heavily into the faceless player character being a massive pervert and I feel that was a wasted opportunity; given the premise, a reluctant Straight Man (this type - Wikipedia article) would have fit so much better as it would give us some respite from the outlandishness. After a while, the overt innuendo just becomes a little grating, but that's probably just because I approach this game from an angle where I want to have ridiculous over-the-top fun with the bizarre concept of having to escape the clutches of hordes of dangerous anime girls, rather than an angle where I am playing for the ecchi bits. I feel both approaches are totally valid, though. Still, would I recommend Gal*Gun Double Peace despite it all? Yes, I would - very much so, in fact. For all its faults and shortcomings, there is nothing else quite like it out there in the Playstation ecosystem save for the sequel and you can bet it wil stay that way given Sony's recent pivot being anti-fun. The game came out for both PS4 and Vita so there's no excuse to not try it either, especially with used copies coming relatively cheap. Even if it might not seem like your cup of tea, head into Gal*Gun with an open mind expecting a quirky experience, and I fully believe the experience will be an interesting one. I came in with no real need for the ecchi content and ended up seeing the world through the wishful eyes of lonely Japanese men. It's worth seeing things from a different point of view sometimes. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ On a slight personal note, I'd like to thank everyone who has recently taken the time to read my posts in this thread - I appreciate that they aren't of interest to everyone given the niche nature of both the games themselves and the platform (I'm sure everyone could tell I was a Vita-only user), but I hope they've been informative, entertaining, and perhaps provided a few good suggestions of Plats to add to your own profile. Or maybe my musings gave you a different perspective of a game you had already completed? While it has been great fun, I strongly suspect the rate of me getting handheld Plats will slow down from here on out. For one because I've seriously run out of games to play, and for two because of this big beasty; Spoiler Football shirt not included with your hardware purchase, I'm sad to report. Popular Post ziggypossum
You Are Nioh - Obtained all trophies Difficulty: 9/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Getting this platinum was so frustrating, I don't know why. I guess I just needed to git gud a little bit. I'd rather platinum once again all Dark Souls games (including Bloodborne and Sekiro and Demon's Souls) than Nioh. Don't get me wrong, this game is excellent, but I liked Nioh 2 much more. My ass was kicked gazillion times, and the last trophy "Samurai of Legend" was absolutely insane for me to get. Especially the mission "Meeting On The Other Shore", where you have to kill 2 bosses at the same time. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! That was my nightmare for years. Popular Post slender_adrian
#62 - Dead Island Riptide Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Time: 30 hours CAMPAING So after getting the Platinum Trophy of Dead Island, I wanted to get this game done also, at the beggining I was skeptical about this game because I didn´t like the first game and I thought it would be the same or worse, but for my surprise this game turned to be better, they improved a lot of stuff from the first game, one of the things I really liked from DI Riptide was that this time the game actually makes you feel part of the story, this time the characters are able to say something else than "yes, of course, no, not now" etc. This time they will interact with the other characters and you will feel related to them. I found this game very enjoyable but one of the big downsides this game has is that is very glitchy, there are glitches everywhere, and yes this includes trophies. Lucky for me I didn´t have any troubles with collectibles ( The Hoarder), besides that, a side mission glitched on me so I had to replay the game all the way where that side mission was located to get it ( Achiever), but since I keep notes for everything this was no big deal. MULTIPLAYER So there´s one thing left and that´s the multiplayer stuff, honestly this was one of the worst experiences doing online stuff while going for a plat, a full playthrough with at least a co-op partner ( Dream Team), yeah sounds easy right?Let me tell you that we spent most of the time quiting and joining each other lobby, restarting the PS3 because our characters got stuck every 10 seconds and we couldn´t do anything about it, it was a nightmare but we may it, I don´t know if it was a connection issue, lag, the servers or just the game trolling. In conclusion: I liked this game, should you play it? Yes, it´s a good SOLO experience. Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Platinum trophy No. 212! Sakuna: of Rice and Ruin (NA version) Preeminent Goddess A game that I really loved (and you can obtain two platinum trophies, since there are two lists: Europe (which is rarer) and NA), and the collector edition was amazing (especially for the Japanese lucky charm! ). Now, this is a game with two different styles: a rice farming simulation (which is quite deep, since you have to consider so many things: ingredients used for the fertilizer, space left for the rice, water level, Temperature, weather, period when you harvest the rice and you finally turn into brown/white rice) and an exploration of 2D levels (where you need to defeta monsters and pick up items used as fertilizer, and also for upgrading your weapons and charms). And you can see a huge Okami inspiration in this game, since there are a lot of Japanese references, together with its art style. The enviroment changes season after season (and so does the music. Also, I really liked this feature, something that is missing in the latest Atelier games, where the calendar seems completely useless...), and you can't ignore the rice farming, since it increases Sakuna's stats at the end of the year (so you can't explore harder dungeons since you are weak). During last December (together with ToCS IV) I earned almost all of the trophies, missing two of them (related to rice with particula qualities, like aroma and hardness) and I decided to do them after two months! And here I was, slowly waiting for these two final trophies... And this is the platinum screenshot during Fall! The platinum icon is really beautiful! You'd better save it for a milestone! But I can go back in the future with the EU version! This game deserves much more attention.

Popular Post BlitzkriegHottie
#241 Rayman Legends (ps4) Four months... 4 months of daily challenges... The pain is all over now. Good game, with an awful challenge system that will probably make you hate the game. I do not recommend going after this unless you are willing to get high scores on the same levels every day for 3-4 months. Game rating: 7/10 fun, cute albeit a bit clunky and even infuriating a couple times (looking at that VHS music challenge...) Platinum Difficulty: 4/10, it's not hard, just a neverending grind. Ultra rare platinum. PS: I wish there was a game consisting entirely of Rayman song levels. Those were the best. Except for that VHS one. Popular Post Ghost
You're THE Driver, baby! Platinum difficulty rating: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Total play hours: 45 This was added to Playstation Now so I decided to try it out. Felt this game was underrated. I enjoyed it a bit more than the recent Need for Speed games due to the fact you can control a variety of vehicles: cars, motorcycles, boats, and airplanes. It's a cool to have an open-world where you can drive around the United States and I would be interested in The Crew 3 with current gen graphics/new ideas. Most of the events are pretty fun except for the Airplane one where you have to do certain manuevers to gain points. That one got boring quick. Recommended: Yes if you have Playstation Now, otherwise just wait for a substantial price-drop.
