Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #131 - The Pillars of the Earth The Prophesized Protector, 38.19% Rarity (22.74% DLC) Difficulty - 1.5/10, Time Spent - ~18 Hours , Enjoyment 7/10 This game was decent, though often I felt I was playing more of a visual novel than a point-and-click. You do some minimal searching for items and using them to progress the story, and occassionally you have QTEs to complete and then sit through minutes of dialogue. The platinum can be obtained after finishing the first "book" but the second two books are free DLC and contain the meat of the story (and unfortunately very few trophies). The first book is about 5-6 hours and subsequent books are about the same or a little bit longer. Being that the story is the main reason for playing the game, you should definitely play through it all, even though some parts a little tedious.
Popular Post Masamune
Living Legend Obtain all trophies. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Playtime: 60:05:00 (2 months, 4 days, 8 hours) Screenshot: I've wanted an Assassin's Creed game that takes place in Japan for years now, well Ubisoft had their chance & blew it... in fact, I'm glad they didn't make one, because I doubt it would've been this good. Ghost of Tsushima has many, many similarities to the AC series, only I think I enjoyed most of this more than those games. Gameplay is just as good (if not better), & imo the story is far better than the jumbled mess the AC series has turned into. ? This is the kinda game where you can approach it with stealth strategies, or just rush headfirst into an enemy camp. I took the stealth approach most of the time, towards the end I did make a couple fun bow builds that I enjoyed using though. Really my main complaint of the game is that there are so many charms you can equip to change your setup, it can be difficult to pick just 6. I would've liked at least 8 to make some more creative builds, but you can still be pretty OP with 6. You can have a different set saved for each armor too, so you can quickly change between stealth, range, combat, etc... The trophies are all fairly straightforward & easy, you can adjust the in game difficulty as needed too without worrying about anything. Just doing everything on the map will get you most of what you need, once I finished the main story, I just had to go back to a few places I skipped at the end & do a little clean up & I was pretty much done. I really took my time with it too (it was enjoyable enough to where I didn't want to rush anything), 60 hours would probably be the max time you need to plat it. If you've ever liked an AC game, I'd definitely recommend checking this out.

Great game that I picked up for 2 euros a few months back. The gameplay elements are pretty cool and the different ways to investigate a murder and take a conclusion are amazing. The overall story and plot are a little weird and a little rushed in the end in my opinion but still an enjoyable game that I would definitely recommend to anyone that's a Holmes fan!

Popular Post MissShake
#54: Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution The King of Games Unlock every trophy in Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist : Link Evolution I've been on a little bit of a nostalgia kick for the games and series of my childhood, (YGO, Digimon, Pokemon for like elementary school, and Naruto for middle/high school) so I went ahead and started this one up. I'm not sure how I feel about it. On one hand it was pretty good at explaining new methods of summoning, and it had some cool summoning animations for some of the signature monsters. On the other hand... Well the story decks are terrible, I'm not great at this game since I haven't been back in since like the beginning of GX, but those decks were just awful. When I saw others who seem to be fully in on YGO saying the story decks were god awful I just went "fuck it" and made an Exodia deck. (I did beat the og campaign with the story deck, so that felt good!) Besides that, presentation is static and terrible, no voice acting for any of the story duels, you can't skip summoning animations (this would've been great cuz again, running an Exodia deck) and for some reason the Vrains section had no story in it? Would've been cool if they did since I don't know anything about the series. As far as the plat itself, I think it was alright if you have a deck that can break the game. Maybe make your deck and get some podcasts running for this one.
Popular Post mundaney
#11 - Bloodborne BloodborneAll trophies acquired. Hats off! This was my first "Souls" game for the most part. I've never really seen any of the others through to the end. I've always just played a few hours and moved on. This one, however, was an incredible ride, and I really enjoyed the way the story was told so subtly throughout the game. I haven't been able to put it down since getting the platinum and am just two trophies away from the 100%. Praying for a sequel someday. Popular Post Deadly_Ha_Ha
# 42 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered Difficulty - 7/10 Enjoyment - 4/10 I'm gonna chalk this one up to a "My problem" kind of misery. On the whole I don't actually think this game was that hard; but 7/10 for me implies a serious challenge. Out of all the missions in MW2, being 17 in all I think, only one in particular but maybe another one or two to a lesser degree were actually hard on Veteran, that one particular mission being Loose Ends. I played Veteran legit, and maybe my aptitude with CoD has diminished over the years but I had a surprisingly hard time with this game. But what I really had a problem with was the Immortal trophy. The bit about how miserable I found this plat boils down to this: You have to play the game without triggering anything the game considers a fail state; no deaths, no failed objectives, no restarting a checkpoint for any reason, no continuing from the main menu, no playing the missions out of order via chapter select. It may not seem like a big deal since you can play the game on Recruit to do this trophy, and it really isn't, but I didn't pay close enough attention to the specificity of the trophy requirement and ended up playing the game three times on Recruit before I got it. By the end, I was on the brink of madness just praying for the trophy to pop on the credits screen. Obviously, it did, but between this and a few trophies I didn't care for, I must admit that a dope ass game got brought down by a pain in the balls trophy list.
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#349 - Divinity: Original Sin Original Sinner Unlock all trophies for Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition. Playing this reminded me how good western RPG's can be. While most modern WRPG's go down the route of stripping out/dumbing down mechanics to appeal to a broader audience, Divinity throws that out the window and delivers an incredibly hardcore RPG with lots of depth. I was impressed by the sheer amount of options you have when it comes to building up your party and ways to approach combat. There's a level of interactivity with the world around you that I've rarely seen this well executed. Things like how spells cast during combat can set the surrounding area on fire, or freeze the ground that will make foes and allies trip up. Hell, you can even pick up barrels and boxes scattered throughout the world, combine them together, and use telekinesis to crush your enemies to death with it. It's wild! I love how the choices you're making both in terms of levelling up your party and during the story feel meaningful and have real consequences. Most of the trophies are obtained by completing side activities. Lots of missables, but easy enough if you follow a walkthrough. The only real challenge comes from beating the game on Honour mode which is the hardest difficulty plus the restriction on saving. Basically, you only get one save, and if both main characters die, it's game over and the save gets deleted. Thankfully there's ways around that last part thanks to stuff like cloud saves, but it was still a fun challenge. I really can't recommend this game enough, especially if you have a co-op partner to play with. Only the host gets the trophies which is a shame, but the game was so fun and can be experienced so many different ways that I honestly don't mind doing a second playthrough to get them their trophies as well. Thanks to @Redgrave for being a good sport and letting me host first. I look forward to seeing what shenanigans we get up to next playthrough. ?
Popular Post JaneAusten69
#85 Nier Automata Difficulty 2/10 Enjoyment 7/10 Overall, I liked the game but wished there weren't so many missable collectibles. If you don't use a guide there's a lot you can miss out on which sucks since there is 26 different endings and a bunch of items to collect. That kind of knocked a point off for me at the end. Next, I think I'm gonna try and make Red Dead 2 plat my 5,000 trophy.

Ode2Destruxion
When The Past Was Around #38 Finale I mean it was OK, I think it won some awards according to the title screen but it just didn't really do it for me. A point-and-click game based around the story of grief/loss. The game seemed to be focused on the story much more than the gameplay which made the puzzles boring and lazy. Although I'm usually a sucker for an indie game with a good story (Pinstripe still one of my favourites) I never connected with this one. I like that you can replay chapters to collect any trophies you may have missed (thank God - another playthrough would leave you reaching for the bottle). Not much more to say really. 4/10

Popular Post MilanYildirim
#221. Little Nightmares ll There're somethings really wrong with this game. It starts even in the beginning. Game wants to you run by pressing square, and guess what? I guess devs don't feel in their hearts when l do that because this game decided on 7th time l was pressing square button which makes you run because that's when l passed that encounter which all you had to do was pressing the damn button. That's not even only part. This game is so brutal if you are half miliseconds late to react a platforming or whatever, you are dead. Fuck you devs for punishing that way so your shitty game would last long. FUCK YOU! P.S : if these stupid things wouldn't have happened, it would have been a decent game.

Popular Post rjkclarke
Platinum #311 Stories: The Path of Destinies (PS4) Gray fox is my pup You have explored the Path of Destinies. This one has been in my backlog for such a long time! I think, since whenever it was included with PSPlus about three or four years ago. Possibly even longer. I'm trying to cut through a bit of my backlog though and this game has been installed on my console for years at this point without me ever actually touching it, so I thought why not give it a spin now. I've heard quite a few mixed things about this, like that it's the most tedious platinum ever, which find hard to believe for a game that is only at best 25+ hours long. It isn't particularly tedious more arduous, probably more than it really needs to be as well. I find it really astounding that this wasn't ported to the Vita first and then the PS4 later, I think the gameplay loop of multiple short runs, between 20-40 minutes, really suits the pick up and play aspect of a handheld and to be honest Stories: The Path of Destinies, does suffer a bit because of this, I don't think it particularly suits prolonged periods of play, because you end up seeing the same areas and enemies very often. Stories: The Path of Destinies does have a lot to like though, the art style is incredibly charming and it really plays into the storybook aesthetic that the developers were going for. The use of narration I thought in this game, was very unique as well, every character and the narrator are all voiced by the same person, which really helps further the idea of the Stories being retold from a book. The game also includes a nice relaxing OST that I don't think ever really outstays its welcome, possibly because you don't hear it all that often because the game is quite fast paced and there is usually narration to pay attention to. I won't mention too much about the story itself because primarily that is the focus of the game, I guess the clue is in the title haha. I'll just mention how I thought it was handled. This game is VERY VERY self aware about pop culture so if you like little references and Easter Eggs you will probably enjoy quite a few of the stories, so a lot of the titles of the Stories themselves reference various aspects of Novels, Films/TV and Video Games, one I particularly liked was called Return of the Hippie I think, which was quite Star Wars-esque in a few ways that made me laugh. I was a big fan of the process of revealing certain truths as you travel through other story paths, as they all play into the true ending of the game which I think uses all of the acquired knowledge of the stories in a very clever way. The Gameplay and Trophy aspect of this is one of the more questionable areas of Stories: The Path of Destinies a very mixed bag overall. The combat, is very simplistic, not bad just very basic and once you get the character skill for instant kill attacks after a certain combo threshold the game does become a little bit too easy. I don't think I ever really found the combat boring particularly though, because it is very fast paced and you get some decent EXP bonuses for performing well, which is always helpful considering how much EXP you truly need to finish up all the trophies. The trophies themselves all have really nice looking Trophy tiles apart from the maybe the Platinum one which seems a little out of place to be honest, most of them also have a few little references chucked into them. I think the developers were also Metal Gear fans judging by some of them, which I am too, so it was nice to see those. Whilst the trophies look and read quite cool, actually attaining them is more of a problem, Stories: The Path of Destinies absolutely rains down trophies on you within the first 5 hours or so of the game, think I had about 63%ish trophy completion by about that point. after that point though the game becomes a desert for trophies with the odd oasis in-between and then the Platinum just looms in the distance like a mirage as you have no choice but to slowly crawl towards it. I think this is more where peoples frustrations about the game being tedious probably come from. I think I would recommend this to people though, but perhaps on a few conditions. I'd recommend this if it has been in your backlog for a while like it was with me and wanted something fairly simple but enjoyable to play through, just don't expect it to blow you away, maybe don't play it at the expense of other games you'd rather play instead either. That sounded way more negative than it should haha. Secondly, this might be the perfect kind of game for anybody that has a fairly limited amount of time on their hands and doesn't want to commit to any sort of long story based game as the stories are only about half an hour on average really, in fact this would probably be the best way to approach Stories: The Path of Destinies, so you play maybe the odd playthrough here and there to just chip away at it slowly, because I think this game is probably easy to burn out on. I feel like I have quite a lot of patience and after a few long sessions it was certainly starting to wear a little thin I suppose. Lastly, if you liked Dust: An Elysian Tail, there is a good chance you will like this too, they have quite a few similarities in their visual style. I actually much prefer Dust: An Elysian Tail myself, but Stories: The Path of Destinies is very enjoyable too if you go into it with the right mindset and don't get disheartened by the fact the last two or three trophies seem to take forever to unlock!! Very fun game though with some great ideas, but a very flawed road to the platinum I thought. So perhaps this game would be more fun if the trophy hunting element was taken away? Think I'd have to think on that a bit.

Popular Post Darling Baphomet
Earned two platinums in the last week, first a rather easy game with The Sexy Brutale, a short but lovely puzzle game, and then a more challenging game with the Hotline Miami-esque Ruiner. The Sexy Brutale The Sexy Brutale is a gorgeous indie puzzle game with Groundhog Day-esque mechanics, where you must prevent people from being killed in the same day, observing their movements and figuring out how to avoid their grisly deaths (really, they're quite graphic.) The puzzles can be challenging at times but aren't too hard, although I got stuck on a few where the solutions weren't immediately obvious. The story's pretty good too, I even enjoyed a rather controversial story direction they took later in the game. Ruiner Ruiner is pretty much a 3D, cyberpunk Hotline Miami where you have special abilities (and are slightly tougher.) The atmosphere is well crafted, the gameplay is tight and precise, and the music is appropriately badass. The hard run was rather punishing, but that's the appeal of this sort of game - playing Hotline Miami would be boring if you could go through the whole game without dying. It's a lot closer to a typical twin stick shooter than Hotline Miami is, but still maintains a lot of similarities to the game in its format.
