postofficebuddy
Platinum #143: The Walking Dead Season 1 Difficulty 1/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 I played the first two episodes years ago when this first came out and then abandoned it. I really regret that decision now. In an attempt to clean up my backlog I tracked down a physical copy that thankfully had the 400 Days dlc included. Wasn’t even that expensive, less than $10. What an emotional rollercoaster. The story just started getting good immediately after the point where I left it. I’ll admit the ending brought a tear to my eye.

Popular Post Cal
#48 Assassin's Creed Valhalla Before I start I just want to say, Ubisoft please tone down the bloody collectibles in your games! There are way to many in AC Valhalla it's like 780 of them or something it's ridiculous. Now with that being said I honestly don't know how to feel about Valhalla I didn't hate it but I didn't like it either, I guess I just got burnt out on the game because of how big the world and story is, when I finally thought the story was making some headway it ended up just stopping and repeating itself, next thing I know the game just abruptly ends. I just hope that Ubisoft do something different with the next AC which I have a feeling they will since if you look at it Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla they share very similar gameplay it's basically a trilogy, I wouldn't be surprised if Ubisoft say that there will be no new AC game in 2021 and instead we get one in 2022 like how Syndicate was released in 2015 but we didn't get Origins till 2017.

Popular Post Sardavanua
#180 - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Oh! Another Draugr Deathlord! Wow! There we go again. This was the second time I ventured through Skyrim on a Sony system and got 100% of the achievments along the way. Can't say I liked the PS3 version more than the PS4 version. (Shocking, right?) But I still did enjoy it alot to be honest. I've heard horrible things about the PS3 version and many of those things were totally true, but gladly not all of them were. The most bugs like the water freeze and fast travel crash can be simply fixed by reinstalling the game data and they're gone for good. The lagging after like 4-6 hours of playing won't go away that easy though, unless you want to give your console a break, which isn't too bad. But out of all the things I heard before booting Skyrim up, the save file size was the one that worried me the most. There are many posts in the internet that claim Skyrim becomes unplayable after like 10MB of save file size, but they apparently aren't true anymore, probably because of some fixes. When I earned my last trophy my save file hit 16MB and the game was still perfectly playable, besides some stuttering here and there. So yeah Skyrim is perfectly doable on PS3! The game itself is obviously fantastic and pretty much everyone knows the game or at least has heard of it, so not much to say here. Still I could never really enjoy Skyrim as much as I would like to and thats because it was such a downgrade from Oblivion and therefore from Morrowind aswell. But I don't want to annoy the fudge out of everybody who reads this, it's the same old lame discussion you can find literally everywhere else, so I'll leave it here. Trophy wise the base game is almost perfect, nothing difficult or annoying besides the bounty trophy and nothing really missable, besides one trophy and the glitched Oblivion Walker trophy. The DLC on the other hand... Hearthfire is totally fine and so is Dragonborn, but oh my lord Dawnguard. Dawnguard already sucks without certain mods, mainly because the random vampire attacks or random Dawnguard attacks if you side with the vampires. But the trophy list also pushes you to side with the vampires, which really is unfortunate, because the Dawnguard is just more fun in many many ways. Also the perk grinding is just terrible. One of them? Ok. But both? Just why. It's just tedious. Overall the game crashed like 20 times on me and I still had fun, I think that sums it up pretty well. I'm looking forward for the PS5 version lol. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Time spent: ~150hrs

Popular Post PooPooBlast
#156 Yakuza Like a Dragon Well boys.. this one took a while to complete. Clocked in at 90 hours across 2 months and 3 weeks . Yakuza LAD was an interesting game. I’m sure many already know by nnow the series transitioned to a turn based system which I’ll be honest, I didn’t like at first nor do I think it has won me over per se. However, I don’t hate it. It has its cool and zany moments but I just still prefer the live action combat over the RPG system. How freaking cool would it have been to beat bosses alone 1 vs 1 in a sexy testosterone shirtless battle as opposed to having a party of 4 beating 1 dude? See the difference? Anyway aside from the turn based combat, everything was awesome and RGG studios do not disappoint. As for the story, the first 3 chapters were solid, then sort of stagnated until chapter 7/8 ish and then picked up full steam until the finale which went full throttle. I suppose it’s because it’s Ichi’s first game and they took their sweet time establishing his character across many chapters. Overall, though story was pretty good once you've been through it all especially the finale. Side content: Amazing as usual! They literally made a fun minigame somehow out of collecting trash!! . Played the crap out of that minigame. Then there’s that REM ram sleep minigame which involves you defeating rams that are trying to make you sleep while watching boring stuff at the cinema. Those movies are also parodies of real movies which made it even better . Of course there’s also what are called alarm cocks that help you wake up . Leave it to RGG studios to come up with stuff like this.. As for substories, they were hilarious as usual. Won’t spoil anything but what I can say is that you won’t be disappointed for sure. The infamous millennium tower: Because this time around, the game is an RPG, the devs put a late game dungeon that you have to beat which involved a grind that took me about 10-12 hrs to reach an optimal level before I was comfortable to tackle it. Certainly wasn’t bad as I thought it was going to be especially if you go prepared but it’s a decent challenge. Nowhere near as bad as some people made it out to be, at least imo anyway. Overall Like a dragon was a solid yakuza experience and you definitely shouldn’t push it aside if the change to turn based combat makes you upset. There’s a still a great story, entertaining sidequests and minigames that are worth experiencing! With all that said, the OST was pretty darn good in general but I’ll leave you with a select few of my absolute favourite tracks (just 4) in the game. Enjoy! Spoiler I did not expect this to go this hard yet here we are . I put the controller down and started banging my head when this played. Perks of having turn based combat I guess Also love how hard this goes. You really feel the weight of this song. Another one of my favs. Aaand lastly, this is one of the the kart racing minigame themes and cannot stress how much I love this. Might be my favourite among the other tracks in the game. Popular Post Conor
#97 & TROPHY #5000- GHOST OF TSUSHIMA [PS4] Living Legend Obtain all trophies Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Playthroughs: 1 Time: 8 months, 3 days, 15 hours, 9 minutes, 17 seconds / 35 hours Rarity: 13.1% Rare (PSN) / 50.69% Common (PSNProfiles) Challenge: Master Liberator- Liberate the entirety of Tsushima Island "The proud do not endure. The greatest of us fall in the end..." The latest offering from Sucker Punch was a very exciting one in the runup to its release. Being the final major first-party exclusive on the PS4, the last in a line of some of the best games of the generation, with gorgeous looking trailers backing it all up, there was just no way that the game would not deliver, right? Well... yes and no. You play as Lord Jin Sakai, a 13th Century Samurai from the titular Tsushima Island, on a quest to repel the Mongol invasion led by (the fictional) Khotun Khan and prevent their incursion into mainland Japan. The samurai are routed and Jin must gather allies and rally the people of Tsushima to help defeat the Mongols and liberate Tsushima Island. The story is serviceable if not exactly top-tier quality, but the themes of honour and sacrifice are compelling enough to keep most players engaged. Indeed, up to the end of the first act is very compelling, but the story really doesn't deviate from its predictable nature and any "twists" that happen are really telegraphed far in advance. The characters are fine too, although they rarely stray far from archetypal tropes typical of the genre. Perhaps most players are not looking for anything beyond that but for me it wasn't particularly amazing and I consider it a step below some of the more engrossing narratives of this generation. I found myself uninterested in continuing for a long while after finishing the first act and really only picked it up again after I got a PlayStation 5, which boosts the game from 30fps to 60fps and I feel that really upped the experience for me a great deal. The gameplay is good as well- combat is brutal and fun especially when some of the more powerful abilities are unlocked, though this makes encounters trivial and I found myself eventually just outright avoiding optional fights in the open when I was clearing the map. I think that a Nemesis-like system would have worked wonders- they could have navigated around the legal blocks that WB have on the idea now and made it their own- and it would have had me more invested in the conflict than just slicing down nameless Mongol after nameless Mongol. The ingredients were all there and it would have made a terrific difference to the combat. The world itself is among the most gorgeous- I would call it is a photorealistic The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as the closest comparison, and when played on a PS5 running at 60fps instead of 30fps it makes a massive difference. Instead of map markers and compasses/ maps typical of open worlds, Jin is guided by the wind and smoke columns in the distance, as well as golden birds which lead him to the nearest objectives. You can still of course use the map to mark a location and use the guiding wind function to lead you there, and once you have some locations to fast travel to the navigation and load times are impressively fast, almost as if you are playing it on an SSD. The side content is at first unique but it really lacks variety, though some of the storylines are compelling, perhaps more so than the main story. However, the game quickly becomes yet another open world game with enemy camp clearing and landmarks to visit, although many do offer tangible rewards. It does become tiresome though. That said, I did like the little details of the fox dens, environments and even the distant din of Mongolian throat singing as I approached a camp. I don't want to linger too much longer on this- it is a great game. However, those rushing to name it Game of the Year for 2020, well, I fear a sizable number of Gamers™ did so in response to another certain game. Honestly, I feel that when either of the games are discussed, the other must be brought up and although I have sort of done this myself, both games deserve better than always being compared, although I find it funny that many of the criticisms leveled at the other game are actually true of Ghost of Tsushima; characters make questionable choices- shock, horror, they are human and humans make mistakes!- the plot isn't really all that good and riddled with holes, inconsistencies and conveniences (because we don't have all day, things need to move along), oddly paced at times, makes a narratively jarring turn over halfway through and it is very, very political (and yes, there is also representation that you don't have to look too closely to find). It's a good, but GotY material? Nah, not quite in my (clearly unpopular) opinion. Try playing Hades (not even my GotY either, but certainly a step above this) if you can then come back to me and try to tell me that this was better. In the scheme of PS4 exclusives, I would put it above the likes of Days Gone- although there are some things that game does better than this- but below God of War. I do also recognise that the free multiplayer mode seems to be doing quite well and if it is as good as they say then that certainly adds a lot of value to the game especially since it has no shady microtransactions. But I'll likely never play it since it doesn't really interest me, though I am glad people still find a reason to come back to this game again and again. Kudos to Sucker Punch regardless of how I personally feel- they made a game that clearly resonated with millions of players and they deserve all the credit in the world for that. Personally, I liked the inFAMOUS games on the PS3 more and I look forward to playing Second Son and First Light on the PS5 boosted to 60fps as well, which I was holding back for. Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #397 Life is Strange Uncommon: 34.84% Difficulty: 3/10. Enjoyment: 10/10. Challenge: 8/10. Music: 9/10. Genre: Adventure, Action, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Drama, Time Travel, Butterfly Effect, Murder and Death. Grind Difficulty: 4/10. Platinum Time: 1 day and 11 hours. I had a excellent time and a awesome experience playing as Max Caulfield on Life is Strange. Episodes was crazy, intensifying, emotional, drama and so on. Dealing with alot of tasks was no small feat. The choices were challenging and made a alot of consequences in it and shit was dangerous. The collectibles was very easy for me to took my time and finding it all. In the end I chose to save Arcadia Bay instead of sacrificing Chloe Price and going back in time where the blue butterfly was first shown in the toilet. Highly recommended for this game. Popular Post Biscoito18
#96 - Resident Evil 6 Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 4/10 I already achieved the RE6 platinum on the PS3 eight years ago. It's exactly the same list but this time it seemed to be much more boring and repetitive. Throughout the game my head constantly asked the same question: who thought this would be a good idea? Some of the worst QTEs of all time, at least four boss battles against helicopters, horrible driving sequences and several repetitive battles that never seem to end. Despite this, in the middle of the mess there are several good moments, I loved the protagonists and the gameplay has some great ideas that I would like to see again in the franchise as the "quick shot" and the side jumps. Popular Post Juzota
#148 - Peggle 2 Platinum Trophy You've unlocked all of the trophies! For some reason this game felt very relaxing for me. Not sure how so because it was quite challenging at times. Thankfully the DLC makes this Platinum much more easily achievable. It adds some optional challenges so there's no need to finish all of them from main game. I don't think I could've had finish this without the DLC's. Popular Post MidnightDragon
#67 Contraptions I was hoping this game would be like the amazing Incredible Machine games on PC. Sadly, not so. Some of the levels are ridiculously hard. I also had some crashing issues. Initially I tried not to use guides unless I got stuck, but eventually got tired of trying and mainly used the video guides. Still, I only paid $3 for it, so I can't complain too much.

In a way it brought back that 2007 feeling I had when I played the CoD4 campaign for the first time, but only slightly. It had it's moments, some may stick in my mind, but now I'm moving on to other things.
