Popular Post Phantochi
#232 - Marvel's Avengers Can't wait for the Batman DLC. Every game is repetitive, If you've played Destiny, Diablo, The Division, Warframe and etc, you'll know what you're getting yourself into. If you've played those games and enjoyed the grind, you'll totally dig this game. Besides the frame rate issues, there is nothing wrong with this game so don't let others cloud your decision on playing it.
Popular Post Icymind25
Platinum #13: Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin (PS3) The Dark Soul Acquire all trophies The grind for the "hidden weapon" spell as well as the "sunlight spear" were so boring, but well, after 6 days I got them and the only thing left was to speedrun what was left of NG+ and then do a new speedurn for NG++ so I could buy what was left. Anyway, I enjoyed the game, but for some reason, it felt slow during the NG+ & NG++ playthroughs. Platinum #14: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Prince of Persia Obtain all other trophies Great game, even though the gameplay hasn't aged that well. Love the SoT Trilogy ?. Platinum #15: Batman Arkham Asylum Platinum Trophy Platinum Trophy Funny thing regarding the Arkham series is that I started with City because a friend lend me the game so I played Asylum later. Still, I enjoyed and like this 1st entry in the Arkham series ?. Edited April 21, 2021 by Icymind25
Popular Post Viper
#227 Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS4) Be Yourself I feel like I saw that a lot of people were disappointed with this game, and it didn't sell well...but I had an absolute blast with it! It's not quite as good as the main game, but still more than worth playing if you enjoyed Spider-Man 2018. For the most part it's a lot of the same, the swinging and combat are unchanged (except Miles has different mannerisms from Peter). Although there is the inclusion of Venom powers and cloaking, which do feel like they give you a slight edge over what Peter can do, making Miles feel like his own character. The story itself is pretty much standard comic book affair but it's told is the same intriguing, bombastic way Insomniac told it in the main game. I figured out who The Tinkerer was right away, it was predictable in that regard...but they were still a good character. One area I was wondering about is how Insomniac was going to handle Miles and Aaron Davis, I was half expecting them to copy Into the Spider-Verse, but they went their own way with it, and did their own thing. I'll likely be purchasing the Ultimate Edition for this on PS5 in the future...I'll gladly Plat both of these again. Which BTW, I do NOT like the new Peter Parker, I just don't...I don't think Yuri's voice matches the character design as well as it did in the original PS4 version. But I guess he's really just going to take time to get used to. But this game was much shorter than the main game, so I'm more than ready for the sequel now.

Popular Post whodeygamer
#8: Crash Bandicoot This is one platinum I never thought I'd go back and get. I've gotta give credit to @Stedde and his 100% Bracket Challenge for getting me motivated enough to go for the platinum. I still need to get the DLC trophies, but at least for now I'm taking a break. Getting those relics was such a pain...
postofficebuddy
Platinum #153: Untitled Goose Game Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Played this one on Switch back when this was still console exclusive on that. The game is just as endearing and hilarious as it was on the first play through. The 3rd and 4th speed run trophies are fairly tight but since they’re so short having to reset isn’t really that painful.
Popular Post Sardavanua
#181 - Bound by Flame While browsing through my PS3 backlog, I found another little gem I've already played on PS4 before. The downgrade wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, it actually was alot of fun to play through again. I get why people dislike this game and it's by no means a perfect game, but it always reminds me on a miniature version of Dragon Age. And there's not enough Dragon Age out there, so I like to play games that are similar to it. You have alot of dialogue with minor decisions, decent characters in your party and you can change your companions whenever you want. The combat system is souls like, with the same weird engine that spider-games always uses. Like it or not, it's broken and many times unfair. Not as bad as Technomancer, another of their games, but still pretty unfun. Either you spam dodge the entire time or you get ganked by every single group of enemies. Boss fights (escpecially the first one) are a decent challenge as long as you play on a lower difficulty. On higher difficulties the bosses tend to become insanely buffed and pretty much one shot you with their broken hitboxes. The worst part about the game is definetly it's difficulty scaling. There's three difficulties and an extra story difficulty for them scrubs, but hey actually it's not, because the story difficulty is like normal. The other three difficulties are like challenging, hard and f*ck you. Each increase means more hp and damage for your opponents and they tend to attack more aggressively. If you want to have fun with the game you better stick with story difficulty, the rest is just frustrating. If you go for Captain difficulty I wish you the best of luck, there's a reason why it's an UR trophy. The last boss is just an utter joke, so prepare to git gud. Trophy wise the game is decent, weapon related trophies and most misc trophies can be achieved in a single playtrhough. Romance and endig trophies need a guide for some of the decisions. Also you need to play through the game at least two times, once per gender so you can romance the opposing gender. And yeah there's captain difficulty, if you can do it there's pretty much nothing between you and the plat. Difficulty: 6/10 Time spent: ~20h Enjoyment: 5/10

Popular Post Darghel
#100 Living Legend (Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age) Difficulty: Very easy with no missables. Just takes times Time to Complete: 105 hours Recommended: Yes, just not this version Total Score: 8/10 I've been postponing this game for a while, so I decided this would be a fine addition to my 100th and at long last, it's finally done and it was quite a ride. A slow...very slow....incredibly slow ride, but still a good one! Okay it's not a perfect game but I have to admit that there were some issues with it: the story was okay until act 3 started, which made me question a lot of things and, in essence, kind of created a plot hole with the events established earlier, like why this villain is connected to that villain and so on. I probably have to read somewhere but I did have a struggle understanding few bits, Spoiler Until I realized that it's all about different timelines...urgh again with time travel and parallel universes square enix?! Also the characters...which are barely in the game: besides Veronica, Sylvando, and maybe Rab, most others come and go and barely get much screentime and it's...kind of a shame really, as I wanted to know more but there was nothing to show! Also, I get it it's dragon quest, but could you AT LEAST make the MC an emotion that isn't "blank stare"?! I swear he ruined some of the best moments with his stupid face! And it could've helped if you could choose what to say other than "Yes" or "no". But I get it, dragon quest is a classic...although you clearly changed how to save from before and grinding is easier. Right I guess the classic details are to excuse laziness. The combat was also slow...and not just the fights, but also the grid system which sounds and looks cool on the concept but, in the very end, it feels like they stripped one character into multiple ones. I mostly used the same 4, maybe 5 characters until the end because they were mostly stronger than everyone else: Veronica was clearly the better mage than Rab thanks to Echo (aka, pay once get two). Erik with divide and Victimizer could (and did) do over 10k damage when done right, and the hero is basically a paladin with better stats than Sylvando, which is also a good character but his stats are overall in the "meh" category...so I would usually pick up Jade as my fourth, since hero has also better heals. Number 8 was okay but they nerfed axe so badly he's kind of useless (Yangus in 8 was a beast thanks to his def-tearing axe skill, but in dq11 it's random chance). He's a good tank but that's it... Thankfully you can respecc, a feature that dq8 didn't have, and that could've caused so much trouble if it didn't have because while you have less skill trees to learn you definitely don't want to mess up! And lastly the pacing...dear Lord, it takes over 30 to 40 hours until the plot gets anywhere! Until then it feels so boring! And they clearly missed a lot of scenes that could explain the characters better! Some get more development but they clearly didn't have enough time to show more, and it ends up with a bunch of people that don't seem to have a reason to follow you. Other than you being Jesus Christ the Luminary. But the thing is, all of my complaints, or nitpicks if you will, are completely gone (at least most of them) in the definitive edition, so in a way what I'm saying is for the original version. That's right: this is the regular version that came out in 2018 so it misses a LOT of things, like fun-size forge being usable anywhere, mounting anywhere, characters in world map, turbo, and also extra cutscenes! Yeah, the new version has cutscenes for each character that explain them better! and better music (which is so boring in this version) And so much more! It's amazing how different the new version is and I'm honestly hyped to play that! Still, this version is now gone from the store and can only be bought if you find a normal copy outside...and frankly with the definitive edition why would you?! The only reason why I played this was that I had it and...well because of honoring my pet parrot (sometimes he's my avatar but at times I like to change), who absolutely loved the music of DQ8 and he would stay all day on my TV, listening to the music while sleeping. Heck I even named the MC after him to remind me how much he loved Dragon Quest! So yeah this is not just a milestone for me, but also a way to make my pet parrot part of this game again. I always wondered if he would love the music of this game or the definitive edition...knowing his tastes he would've liked the new one ? he was a parrot of culture you know! Anyway, good game, with flaws, but there's a new version so go for that one and forget this one. Unless you want two different versions I really don't see a reason to get this one: it's simply too outdated and while playable, so much is missing that it's like an unpatched version of an mmo, with missing QoL and etc. So long and let's hope for another 100 more trophies! A hunter must hunt! Edited April 23, 2021 by Darghel Added a few more bits

Popular Post snakebit10
All Done #343 Maquette It seemed interesting and was a plus game. The story was decent and the puzzles creative. I am not one for heavily puzzle games and not much on speed run trophies either, but I managed to pull it off. It was short enough, that I didn't lose interest. Most of the speed runs can be done easily. only a couple did I have to attempt more than once. Overall a decent game. Glad it was a plus game.

Popular Post MidnightDragon
# 68 Cooking Mama: Cookstar If you're unaware of what the Cooking Mama games are, you make recipes with the help of the titular Mama. There's some weirdness surrounding this game's release, which you can learn more about here. This game has a social media bent in-game where you take photos and your in-game friends rate you. There isn't any actual social media stuff involved, so don't worry about that. A new part of this game is Cookstar Mode, which is a slightly more difficult mode. Some of the minigame controls are a little wonky, some of the Cookstar time limits are super tight, and sometimes the AI seems to want to screw with you. Mama's voice bites can quickly become very irritating and the music is a bit simplistic. Still, despite the complaints, I enjoyed it overall.
Popular Post Yuber6969
Difficulty: 4/10 After platting Persona 4: Arena Ultimax, I was expecting this game to be brutal. It wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it was going to be. The only thing that gave me trouble was Ragna's 90-hit combo trophy. I'd give it a 3/10 if it wasn't for that trophy. Enjoyment: 9/10 This game was so much fun and the story was amazing (though some of the filler was boring). I'd have rated this 10/10 but I hated the RNG nature of the Abyss Mode item drops. Jelly Soup
#145 - Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink Some PSNow stuff, since I've got it. Another softball, but I remember this one being entertaining enough on Steam. As is standard for Artifex Mundi games, the hidden object portion always has a couple items with strange or very unhelpful names. Otherwise reasonable puzzles. Mild recommend, many of these games are so similar that I can't really judge interest for someone who hasn't played them.
