Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #276: Detroit: Become Human (May 10th, 2021) Difficulty: 3/10 Excitement Rating: 8/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 15 - 20 Hours Hardest Trophy: I'LL BE BACK ( Connor died and returned at every opportunity before reaching the end ) The latest Quantic Dream game from David Cage himself. A fun and enjoyable first playthrough, with the subsequent two playthroughs afterwards to be a chore. There's no doubt that Detroit: Become Human is a technical masterpiece. The graphics are phenomenal. Characters like Hank are very finely detailed, and little touches like snow in one's hair looks realistic. Video games have come a long way in showcasing real impressive graphics, and Detroit: Become Human still looks great three years later after it came out. Detroit became a PlayStation Plus title back in early 2019, so I finally decided to tackle this game to see what the fuzz was about. Games like Heavy Rain and Detroit will always be superior to TellTale Games. Your choices and decisions really affect the outcome of the games. In TellTale Games, I felt I was getting the same results no matter the choices I made, which diminished my enjoyment and immersion in the stories they presented. With Quantic Dream, they delivered another technical masterpiece, and to have characters be portrayed as realistic and truly three dimension is truly important for something that is almost purely an interactive movie. I said much of what I wanted to say in my status update review of Detroit, so I don't need to repeat myself here. While the Pacifist playthrough was enjoyable, I did not like the Violent playthrough all too much. This is one of those situations where you almost feel you're doing these decisions because the trophy list demands you do so, rather than make these decisions purely on your own because that's how you want them to be. While I was friends with Hank in the Pacifist playthrough, I had to piss him off as much as possible on the Violent playthrough, to the point where he commits suicide. Having had to experience all the endings of Heavy Rain where Ethan committed suicide on three different occasions, this is nothing new to me. I had to leave certain androids (deviants) behind on the Violent playthrough. Not all that fun to witness, but even a little more annoying was having to watch a lot of cinematic scenes twice. I made three playthroughs, one Pacifist, one Violent, and the third to do general cleanup. Detroit all in all is a fairly easy platinum, but it contains a bunch of missables that are easy to overlook if you're not careful. Some of the QTE set pieces can be a bit annoying so Detroit in my opinion deserves at least a 3 out of 10 in difficulty. Watching Connor die at every opportunity required a bit of fore planning. Was amusing, but you can watch all his deaths on YouTube anyway, so I purely did it for the trophy. Definitely recommended, however it can get a bit old by the end of your platinum journey. Popular Post Icebrand1270
PLATINUM 157 The Technomancer May 8 2021 PSN Profiles Rarity 3.62% (Ultra Rare) The Platinum may be only 9 months in the making... but the road to an Ultra Rare was over 3 YEARS in the making! As I have stated many times, I have only been OohYeah127 since October of 2017. I was Icebrand1270 from December of 2008 until September of 2017, eventually losing that ID to a bank card hack. As Icebrand1270, I had 9 Ultra Rare Plats, the final 2 taking place in January of 2016. And though I have earned "First In The World To Platinum" with 3 different games (8 To Glory, RBI Baseball 20, NA version of Super Sports Blast), I also have enough "trash" plats to fill a landfill. I do confess it's been something of a sore point to not have an Ultra Rare Platinum on my current ID. Well, that all changed with this Platinum right here! On to what this game is about. It was developed by Spiders and published by Focus Home Interactive in 2016, who also did Bound By Flame and Greedfall. The story is fun, if a bit predictable at times, and the characters are not bad as well. I bought both this and Bound By Flame on sale for 4 dollars each (USD of course) so I certainly couldn't argue with the price. Sadly, the mechanics are not so good. The camera angles (which have been a common problem in games for many years) mean you often won't see the lethal attack until it's too late. As well, the map and minimap are the worst I have seen in ages. Confusing as they get. Most guides recommend a single playthrough on Extreme difficulty to minimize playthroughs. This is understandable, being a game that is average at best. I did it in 2 playthroughs so I could leave Extreme difficulty for last and not worry about any other trophies. It seemed to work out for me, as seen by the Platinum. In short, it's an Ultra Rare Platinum moment best described as a "Long Time Coming". To quote the immortal Etta James song: "You are mine... AT LAST!"

Guest
#424 Hitman: Contracts PSN Profiles rarity: 11.41% (RARE) Gap: 6 years, 4 months, 3 weeks much easier and less problematic than hitman 2, most of his missions are remakes of hitman missions: codename 47. here the problems surrounding the brutal, unregulated difficulty of hit 2 are not so persistent, thankfully. I made the mistake of starting in professional difficulty and forgot about the post game to clean weapons, and even dropped an unobtainable weapon on a mission lol, but in general a very simple platinum looking forward to Blood Money, there seems to be a makeover on series! Popular Post elpoko
#87 Days Gone I really didn't like this early game, I felt the tone was all wrong and I didn't like the writing or any of the characters but it kind of grew on me as it went on. I never really engaged with the story or any of the characters but it is kind of fun. I don't think I'll try the challenges but i'll finish up the other dlc packs. I'm currently getting my shop ready for reopening after lockdown so I popped this in work between confrence calls and deliveries.

Popular Post rjkclarke
Platinum #320 Gravel (PS4) Gravel Hero Unlock all trophies Every once in a while, I get the urge to go through a racing game. This was one of those times. If I'm being honest I probably use it as a bit of an excuse to listen to a lot of Podcasts or Music, because rarely do they ever contain any kind of meaningful story or narrative, this one certainly doesn't. Just before purchasing it I thought, Gravel looked to me like a low budget mixture of Dirt and Driveclub, which I guess didn't turn out to be too far away from what it was actually like. Gravel did quite surprise me by actually being quite visually appealing, I guess a lot of the surprise arose from how little I paid for the game - something like £4 I believe. All of the car's look like they should, and some of the liveries that you can unlock look quite colourful and vibrant. I should add that Gravel also had surprisingly good weather effects, not in anyway as good as Driveclub tends to be. I've never seen weather effects in a racing game done as well as that game. Driving through snow and rain in Driveclub is equal parts terrifying and exhilarating, even more so when its night time....... Still, this is a write up of Gravel, not Driveclub so back on track. Gravel's weather effects themselves are still good for what they are, just a bit odd sometimes. It does feel a bit strange driving across a track that usually is covered in sand and sunshine, all the while a thunder storm rages on around you. I hate to say it but one of the worst aspects of Gravel is its OST, it basically doesn't have one, which I can understand, I'm sure a lot of the games budget went into licensing the vehicles. Due to this though, unless you turn the music down and use your own you're going to be hearing SO MUCH GENERIC ROCK!! In fact a lot of the sound I just turned down because it does get a little bit obnoxious to be honest. None more so than in the games story mode, (If you can call it that) "Off Road Masters" whilst I like the idea of the story mode, the only voice you ever hear is one person. I hope this person never reads this because its going to sound brutal, he has such a grating voice. Its almost as if they just stumbled across a British man on a train platform wearing a plastic Anorak, Jelly Shoes and a Pudding Basin Haircut like a Medieval Squire, with a Thermos in one hand and a Notepad in the other, writing down all the Trains he had seen that day and the dev's thought to themselves "HIM, HIM, he's who we need to carry this games story on his back!" Now that I've gotten that out of my system, lets get to the gameplay and the trophies. The gameplay is actually where the game does shine. In a racing game you always want to have competent driving controls and options, as well as fair difficulty levels. This has all the above and thankfully, doesn't really contain any sort of rubber banding that I really noticed, that was one of the things that really bought down Dangerous Driving a notch or two. The Off Road Masters mode is very varied too, which is always nice, I didn't really get bored the whole time I played through it. I'm all for as much variety as possible. As for the trophies. they are all incredibly straight forward apart from a few which are all still quite easy, just require a little bit of effort. I guess that's why the Platinum rarity is something like 39%, because the game essentially just requires you to do everything, although grinding to level 99 did outstay its welcome a little bit if I'm honest. I think by that point I had, had my fill. There wasn't a gun pointed at my head forcing me, so it isn't like I can complain too much. It does have online trophies, which as the online is pretty much dead now you'll have to find someone to boost it with I guess. Shout out to @M-Netto333 for helping me out with those, that was quite a fun little session, quite funny too, as I was ridiculously tired driving around the track like a complete idiot at 6AM. If I was going to give advice to anyone, I would say play through Off Road Masters with as many of the options on that boost your XP, just to save yourself a bit of time later on. I feel like I'm saying this a lot at the moment about the games I'm playing, whilst I do recommend it, you do have to know what you are getting into before playing it. Try not to expect it to blow you away, but its definitely a solid fun time and I definitely don't regret playing it. Popular Post slender_adrian
#66 Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Time: 80 hours "What lies ahead, only you can see" GAME THOUGHTS After completing Dark Souls I wanted to get done DS2 also, when I played this game for the first time I hated it, I didn't like a lot of the changes they made, personally I didn't like that you can warp right for the beginning it kills the experience of exploring a learning the maps, the bosses where all the same just another enemy in your way, they didn´t have the impact bosses in DS1 had, I truly wanted just to stop playing this game, it is the first game that really let me down on the first impressions, but after playing the game for a while I started liking it, I liked a lot some changes they, the combat feels more fluid the game runs better than the original Dark Souls. I didn't experience the magic Dark Souls has in this game, but in the end I liked this game had a lot of fun and is a awesome game to get the platinum. THE TROPHY HUNT Compared to Dark Souls, this game was a breeze to get the plat, you don't have to upgrade 100 weapons, on my 1st playthrough i got must of the trophies without even caring to get get them, the most teadious one to get was Master of Miracles since I needed to farm for one miracle and I spend a lot of time farming. Besides that one trophy the rest of the trophies where easy and straight foward to get. Next Platinum : Lollipop Chainsaw

Popular Post Sardavanua
#182 - The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth This took forever. Don't know what to say here... The Lost was horrible, I didn't get Dead Cat or Holy Mantle once when playing with him, so that was fun. Boss rush with The Lost took me 24 attempts until I didn't get randomly hit by Monstro II / Gish. The Missing No. was the last item I had to find, took about a week of secret room farming. The rest of the the Real Platinum God wasn't too bad, but still very grindy. I love this game and that will never change, but now I need like a 2 year brake until I'll run it again. Difficulty: 9/10 Time spent: 200+hrs Enjoyment: Rapidly decreased as soon as I had to complete the stuff I found list. Popular Post preciseRNG
#54 Final Fantasy X HD Completion 8.74% Very Rare Stay away from the summoner! Well, there are people who love this game and people who don't. My heart is bound to this game and that's almost for 20 years now! I remember playing it in the PS2 era for the first time and fell in love already back then. No I'm in my 30s, haven't played this game for I think 6-7 years and wanted to finish it again. The moment I listened to "To Zanarkand" I instantly was thrown back to my childhood like: I just love everything about this game, even if there are some weak points maybe, the game itself feels so complete for me and nobody will ever change that. Even the sphere endgame grind has not been annoying and I never felt tired. I do also know how the story goes and nevertheless there were some good onion cutting ninjas in the end. It may take several years to touch this gem again, but be sure I will come back, until then... Farewell... Here's the plat snap:
Popular Post da-Noob123
I actually got 3 platinums this week. To start it off for trophy 7,000 the Final Fantasy 7 Remake platinum. I really enjoyed it overall, the character models were gorgeous and I liked how much Midgar was fleshed out. There was definitely some padding to the playtime but I think chapter 17 was the worst offender here as what was added IMO was totally unnecessary whereas in the other sections where padding was used it filled in what happened between the big events like the first and second reactor bomb runs. Next up were Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter and Infamous: First Light. I played both of these as filler games to get up to the point where the FF7R Plat would be number 7,000 and subsequently came back to finish them off. I recently started listening to the Holmes books on YouTube so it was playing a game in that universe. Some of the puzzles were tricky but some of it was due to how you interact with the clues, for example when examining a wallet it would not open no matter how many times I clicked on it because it wasn't oriented the right way for the game to trigger the opening animation. I liked making deductions and the overall story and was just the right length. First Light was another quick one, story was short but I liked learning more about Fetch's past. Arena wasn't too bad, getting 10 million points was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be and the grind was nothing compared to most multiplayer grinds. I am moving onto Hitman 2 now so it will be a hot minute before the next platinum.
Popular Post Zanreo
(Evoland) #55: Complete You have completed the game! (I've played this before on Switch some years back (well, Evo 1 and some of 2), but wanted to try to again - now with trophies. Really enjoyed these games, and especially Evoland 2. Despite some bugs in Evoland 2 where I'd get stuck or, in one case, the game would crash/freeze ingame (right after leaving after winning the most annoying card match, and it didn't save this...) it was still a great game! Can recommend)
Popular Post Celestial_Lily
Platinum #73 Mortal Shell (PS5) Fun: 7/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time taken: 12h~ It's definitely been a long time since I last played a Soulslike game, and I'd heard good things about this one. Unfortunately my first impressions we're all too positive, right out of the tutorial. I kind of wish there was an option for starting weapons or some sort of stat/equipment type of thing but OH WELL. I definitely had second thoughts about if I'd wasted money on it or not. But, after restarting and trying again, it did eventually grow on me! I wish there would've been more boss fights, and that the levels weren't totally jam packed with enemies but you can't get everything. For how small the dev team is it turned out to be pretty neat. The no shell run was .. interesting. It was fun at times, but overwhelmingly frustrating at others when half the areas have archers or magically enemies packed everywhere with incredible aim if you aren't mashing dodge roll as your main form of movement. Okay looking back it seems like I have more bad things to say than good. Um. Let's balance it out. Good things wise, the game looked really nice? The Seat of Infinity area especially was super cool. Uh. Oh god was that it? I mean I had fun but I have no desire to ever go back and do another run because I saw it all in my two playthroughs. Worth it in a sale, imo.

Popular Post TheArcadeKid
#211 - Hyper Sentinel This is a good game that falls increasingly short of greatness. It's a 2D side-scrolling shoot-'em-up, and at first it takes a bit of getting used to. Your ship accelerates automatically, turning around isn't instant and there's usually a lot happening on the screen. When the controls and game design click, though, the game is as good as it'll ever be. Each level comes in two parts, "destroy all targets" and then a boss, and both parts are extremely satisfying. The bosses in particular are great, and the game has some surprisingly memorable music. Main problem is that the game gives you about half a second of invulnerability each time you turn your ship around - so if you just keep turning left and right while shooting, you can pretty much avoid dying throughout the entire game. Your health regenerates too, no matter what difficulty level you're playing at. Of course, you don't have to play like this, and I frequently didn't, but it's so effective a strategy that deliberately avoiding it just seems like artificially increasing the game's difficulty. Other than that, there's not a lot of difference between the game's three difficulty settings, or the three game modes (one is standard, another is survival and the third is just the boss of each level). If you want to get the platinum, you'll need to go through the game three times, playing through all three game modes, so it kind of overstays its welcome, too. Still, I picked this game up in the last UK PSN sale for less than £1, so I'm basically pretty happy with it. Definitely not as hard as it seems, though.
Popular Post Yuber6969
#64 - Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 Play Time: Approximately 46.5 hours Difficulty: 5/10 Maybe I just suck, but I had a very hard time progressing through the story. Each final chapter boss took me about 5 re-tries to beat. When I got to Chapter 7, I realized I could just abuse EXE and the game became much easier for me from then on. Enjoyment: 7/10 The characters were very entertaining, and for that reason alone, I will be continuing with the series. However, I found the gameplay to be frustrating and grindy (but like I said, maybe I just suck). The Item Master trophy kept glitching on me and that made me really frustrated.
