Popular Post Eagle
Platinum #10 – Far Cry 5 Using the free multiplayer weekend from the Days of Play event, I managed to snag this plat. Singleplayer is fun and has lots of stuff to do, but the story suffers from being basically a kidnap simulator, although the ending was really good and unexpected. ARCADE's solo maps were really awesome, and I already miss them. ARCADE's multiplayer trophies can go die in a pit, though - I'd rather watch paint dry over doing them again. All in all, has its flaws, but I like it, and plan to come back yet again when I obtain the DLCs. More of my inane ramblings here, as is the norm for these posts of mine. Popular Post kRiZz_93
# 131 - Those Who Remain (PS4) Difficulty - 2 / 10 Enjoyment - 5 / 10 (Those Who Remain is a thriller that is set in a place called Dormont, as the game begins your control a character called Edward and everything looks like a completely normal day but it's soon revealed that the town is cursed by a demon, which has shrouded everything into darkness. You play from a first person perspective trying to piece together what happened whilst you look for an escape, along the way you have to solve puzzles i.e. finding keys, doorways to a parallel dimension to progress your search. Every location also has a person who is trapped due to the crime they caused, you listen to their story when reading notes found around the levels and it's your decision whether they should be 'Forgiven' or 'Condemned', naturally this creates multiple endings based on your choices. Overall is was borderline okay, the story was interesting to learn more about in parts but other areas or certain puzzles felt really unnecessarily long. Thankfully if you make a save backup after reaching Mark's House, you can at least use this save to skip the first few areas for when you going for the different endings ?) Time Taken - 1 Days 1 Hour 28 Mins # 132 - Chronos: Before The Ashes (PS4) Difficulty - 2 / 10 Enjoyment - 7.5 / 10 (Chronos is a souls-borne like game set before the events that occurred in Remnants: From The Ashes, you play a hero that is tasked with saving their home from a great evil. Now when I noticed this game a few months back I just thought it was other adventure RPG that was inspired by Dark Souls, it wasn't until I started playing when I soon realized the game was actually made my the same devs as Remnant: From The Ashes cause it had the same crashed boat beginning and red crystals! I was just like "Ohh! Well damn what the chances I never twigged before ? As you progress through the game you will find hidden weapons and elemental stones whilst you explore the areas, all weapons can be upgraded using Dragon Shards that have a chance of dropping from mobs you kill. There is four main stats to rank up each time you gain a level, Strength / Agility / Arcane / Vitality. Eventually you will begin finding and fighting the bosses, to be honest they were pretty decent and on Heroic difficulty a few can cause you a problem, looking at you Dreamer! ? Overall I was happy with how it played out in the end, it's still not as good as Remnant: From The Ashes but still I solid little game to play through. If you play on Heroic straight away and find everything on your first run, the second play through will be just a breeze to complete.) Time Taken - 3 Days 22 Hour 20 Mins (Two play through's required, one on Heroic and another for cleanup trophies) Edited June 30, 2021 by kRiZz_93
Popular Post Valyrious
#85 - N7 Elite (Mass Effect 1: Legendary Edition) *again* I fucked up. Wish I quickly did another platinum so I could save this for my 86th plat. 86 being a special number to me for certain reasons, but alas, not like it's the first time I 100% this game. What a wildly fun remaster. BioWare really outdid themselves with what they've done here. Being able to play this on the PS5 was such a blast. Last time I played it was on a crappy old 720p Sony that was starting to lose its colour, so the visuals REALLY stood out to me, and the impact of 60fps really cannot be understated. Easily one of my favourite series of all time, and it feels good to go back to it and fall back in love with Mass Effect. Especially after Andromeda soured my entire outlook on BioWare. It's gonna be a lot of fun to continue to play through the other games on insanity difficulty in the first playthrough, taking my time and reading everything and immersing myself in the universe once more. mikeygjr007
Platinums #81-83 go to Resident Evil 8, Subnautica PS5 and Subnautica PS4! RE8 - Awesome game! Mercenaries was annoying and definitely burnt me out but it's not impossible! I almost wish I did Mercenaries before the Knife-Only Speedrun and Village of Shadows because those were a lot more fun. Subnauticas- A really interesting game! I'll probably go back to it (or check out Below Zero) because I was surprised to see how deep this game goes (lol) Yes I did use the dev commands and it only added to the mystery of it all hahaha Next Up- Finishing Nier Replicant and continuing through Battlefield V!
Popular Post JoaLoft
#254 - Subnautica My latest adventure has been quite the predicament. You'd think that halting a Mongol invasion and trying to cure the Black Scrawl deserved recognition and respect. But no: along comes Subnautica and asked me: "But have you actually, really, needed to survive yet?" Well, uhh, geez, I guess I haven't really had to worry about an empty belly, predatory fish or running out of oxygen. Cue the crashing down of my escape pod on a hostile alien planet, with nothing but a few protein bars and bottles of drinkable water stashed in its emergency compartment. Survive, I desperately needed to. And survive, I did. Subnautica takes place in the 22nd century, when a deep-space vessel called the "Aurora" enters the orbit of Planet 4546B and suddenly gets hit by an energy pulse, crash-landing on the water surface of the alien planet. Your escape pod lands on the water less than a kilometer away from the massive spaceship and as you climb out to assess the situation, the realization of the terrible mess you're in hits you. You need to find sustenance in the ocean, explore and catalogue, try to locate survivors, craft a temporary home to support your inevitable stay on the planet, and discover the origins of the energy pulse, but most importantly: find a way back home. This is not just about surviving, there is actually a storyline to follow, which already sets it apart from a similar game like Minecraft. Where the latter focuses much more on creativity and is procedurally generated, the former is a much meatier "game" with a fixed environment and subtly gives you goals to work towards without throwing concrete objectives in your face. Subnautica's world features a full day-and-night cycle and as such, at certain intervals in the game when x amount of days have passed since the crash or you discovered specific points of interest, events will trigger in the vicinity and radio calls will come in. In turn, those invite you to focus on exploring new areas and learning more about how other resources can be applied and converted. Also: seeing the huge Aurora stranded on the water close to you, is a great psychological addition: it reminds you constantly of the awful situation you're in, keeping you focused on surviving and discovering the way home. It's obvious that in a survival game like this, you will need to find blueprints by scanning the wreckage of the ship all around you, collect resources by exploring the various biomes in the ocean of Planet 4546B and then turn those into tools to dive further down to find even rarer materials, crafting even stronger tools and vessels to explore even further, and so on. The natural pacing in this game however, flows beautifully. You start with just your escape pod which contains a little bit of food and drinkable water, a medkit generator, a storage unit and a Fabricator (i.e. crafting station). There's no time to waste and you need to start catching fish in the nearest biome - which is also the safest, for obvious reasons - to cook more food and convert fish into water - as you gather your first metals and ores to create the first tools you need to make those first baby steps into adjacent biomes. Fast-forward the tape by roughly 25-30 hours and I have a humble underwater base running on solar power, a recharging battery station, a moonpool with an underwater vehicle and a scanner room to help locate resources easily. The game is cut up in three clear acts, in terms of progression: Act 1 lets you figure out how to stay alive and craft your first tools. Act 2 sees you set up and build your very own custom base with all the appliances you want to add. Act 3 takes you down below to the most dangerous biomes where the final pieces of the narrative puzzle lie. There is a hefty amount of appliances, improvements, ornaments and base structures to craft. Especially modifying everything will prove to be the key to success: your fins, survival blade, suit, air tank, scanner room, your submarine, your exosuit, your one-man recon vessel, ... It all ties in neatly to your base's evolution, which truly starts to feel like your own home after a while. A safe haven after you've been out and about discovering new terrifying fish, locating pieces of wreckage, gathering valuable resources and intel. And taking care of it like your own baby: you can build the base as big as you want. But with each hallway, room and glass window, your home will sustain more pressure and could actually flood! The very simple trick is making sure that you reinforce walls you're not using, so that the base is permanently safe. And no worries: anything can always be fixed with your trusty Repair Tool, one of many. Even a fully flooded base can be restored. Survival games have a tendency to be stressful, they constantly beg for your attention. "I'm about to starve, I need food! Oh God, I need to drink. Oh shit, my oxygen tank is almost empty, gotta swim to the surface fast! The batteries of my tools are dying!" That can be exhausting. But Subnautica manages to handle that key factor very well, by applying one simple mechanic: instead of stacking responsibilities on top, it adds new ones, but at the same time gives you a solution to relieve yourself of old ones. Case in point: during your first minutes, you'll jump in the water and grab fish, take those back to the pod and cook them in the Fabricator to sustain yourself. You'll be doing this for a little while, until you'll craft a survival knife used to slash fish. And many hours in, when you have other responsibilities to take care of: you can upgrade to a Thermoblade, which cooks fish instantly as you slash them and lets you eat on the spot! Another example: tools require batteries. Batteries drain. What do you do? Dump those in the water and craft new ones endlessly with even more resources, like some polluting asshole? Nope, you got a handy battery charger later on in your base to pop those empty batteries in! Or what about water? You always had to find Bladderfish to convert them into small drinkable bottles of water on a regular basis. Later? When you're busy exploring with your Seamoth (the one-man recon vessel) to find rarer materials, a water purifier at your base absorbs ocean water and converts that into big bottles of pure water and salt cubes. Come back home after some recon, add the big bottles of water waiting for you to your inventory, and the purifier gets started on the next batch. It's so simple, and easy. And fun. This game is so much fun! Do you realize how that feels, to experience a survival game with a near-perfect learning curve that keeps you focused and simultaneously entertained? It is a remarkable achievement, one I haven't witnessed at all in a very long time. Especially the very moment when you crafted all the materials needed for your Cyclops, the submarine, in the second half of the game. You prepare for thirty minutes, grab your food, load up the Prawn Suit (your exosuit), make sure the spare batteries and power cells are all charged, stock up on drinkable water. And then you take place in that big cockpit and embark on a one or two-hour deep-sea expedition to look for the rarest materials and explore the amazing huge cave systems underneath. The deeper you go, the more impressive it gets. (That's what she said.) Discovering the jaw-dropping underwater cave fauna and flora with that big submarine, turning on the external floodlights, the interior lights, putting out fires in the engine room after a collision with a huge underwater predator, ... I lost count of the times I stated out loud: "This is so cool!" And that is what makes Subnautica one of the best survival games I ever played. Beautifully crafted, with a tight yet very lenient and rewarding design. There are a few faults though: the game suffers from some weird visual yet rare glitches sometimes such as schools of fishes swimming through your base, and the game could crash occasionally. On that note: there is no autosave function. When my game crashed the first time, it cost me four hours of progress since my last manual save. Save often, every half hour tops! And the sprint button - whenever you're on dry land or in your base - has no toggle feature. After a while, your thumb does start to feel sore from pressing constantly. Luckily, they're small gripes in light of everything else. You know what would have made Subnautica even crazier? Two-player coop. Let that sink in. Most frustrating trophy - ... NONE! Almost every single trophy in Subnautica is progression-related and unmissable, save for one which can easily be achieved if you know what to do. And about half of them are golden trophies, adding nicely to your overall level. But I would like to appeal to everyone whose interest got piqued. There are multiple difficulty modes to enjoy this game: Survival Mode, Freedom Mode, Hardcore Mode and Creative Mode. Some are obviously easier than others: Creative Mode being the easiest one (although trophies allegedly don't pop in this one) and Hardcore Mode being absolutely brutal with its permadeath feature. Please don't just go for a super easy platinum by resorting to exploits and don't forsake the adventure that is Subnautica. It deserves to be played in Survival Mode, taking care of your basic needs while you slowly peel away the secrets the alien ocean holds. Savor this survival game, because it is unrivalled, in part thanks to its mesmerizing aquatic setting. If you've been keeping up with the PlayStation news, you would have seen that it was part of the Play At Home Initiative, one of many games they gave away for free to every single PlayStation user. If you have this game sitting untouched in your library for whatever reason: treat yourself and Subnautica right, and get your feet wet in what is undoubtedly one the finest indie games on the market.

Popular Post Shrooba
Platinum - #44God of War III Remastered King of the Hill God of War 3 marks the end to Kratos' vengeance against the Greek pantheon for denying him release from his nightmares. By it's end, Kratos is not free, and with the world left in chaos after defeating Poseidon, Hades, Helios, Hermes, Hera and Zeus, he decides to do some good and spreads the hope contained within Pandora's Box onto the world. The story behind GoW 3 is a brilliant and climactic finish, starting off full force with a fantastic fight against Poseidon on top of Gaia, as revenge for the titans being banished to Tartarus (the lowest depths of the underworld). What I love about this first fight is that the giant water horse creature you face at the beginning is but one part of Poseidon as a whole, and naturally it doesn't faze Kratos. After putting an end to him, Olympus is flooded, and Kratos and Gaia make their push to Zeus. Zeus however came prepared, and hurls a giant strike of lightning and thunder, partially destroying Gaia's left hand and plunging the two down Mount Olympus. After a betrayal from Gaia, claiming she only used Kratos as a pawn, he falls to the pits of the underworld, conveniently placing him near Hades. After another fantastic boss fight with a tug of war into the River Styx, Kratos manages to steal Hades' own soul, and you get to use his own weapon which is just awesome. Upon returning to Mount Olympus like it's nothing, Kratos runs into Gaia, and slices her left hand and plunges her down the mountain for her betrayal. Soon after, you're plunged right into a battle amidst Helios and one of the raging titans. With one shot of an arrow, Helios is thrown onto the ground, and Kratos uses his head to illuminate the upcoming cave sections, allowing for some interesting combat sections where you can blind your opponents. Next is a race against Hermes through the city of Olympus, and you then acquire his leg armour allowing you to run at blazing speeds across walls and ledges, which opens up great opportunities for exploration. Even with Hercules, you get to use his gauntlets to defeat specific enemies with shields. What I really enjoy about this game is how after defeating each god, their items are used to influence the gameplay. Even with Hera, a god you don't specifically fight (similar to Helios), you use the gemstone placed inside her drinking glass to traverse through a maze in a really cool puzzle sequence. After learning that there is another power contained within Pandora's Box, Kratos learns from Hephaestus (a smith god exiled to the underworld) that the box's surrounding all-powerful flames has a secret key, which is revealed to be none other than Pandora herself. She's locked within an intensely secure labyrinth that's beyond a broken bridge contraption, and Hephaestus therefore sends Kratos to Tartarus to obtain a stone needed to craft a new weapon to reactivate the bridges. After an incredible titan fight against Cronos, Kratos returns with the stone in hand, and ends up being "betrayed" by Hephaestus. I say that in quotations because unlike the other gods, we actually learn through later dialogue in the labyrinth that Kratos does in a sense respect Hephaestus regardless; Kratos' entire journey is trying to forget about what he did to his wife and daughter. He's a father on a mission, and he respects that Hephaestus was just trying to protect his daughter, which he even begged in his final words. All the other gods try to kill Kratos out of pure fear, but Hephaestus just wanted to save his child. Despite Kratos' anger against the gods, he does recognize that Hephaestus had a real purpose for what he did. It's a minor thing, but it gives Kratos a lot of character. He learns to understand Pandora's trust in the idea of hope. As the two encounter Zeus, Kratos pleads with Pandora not to head into the flames as this would result in her death, and that they should try and find another way; he learns to value her life and remember what it means to be a father-like figure. At the end, he releases this hope onto the world as aforementioned, which is a great end. This concept of being a father and having a second chance is something that serves as a basis for his character in GoW 2018. Difficulty-wise, the game isn't too demanding for the most part, but the game sees quite a drastic difficulty spike from the final labyrinth fight onward on Titan Mode (pretty much the end of the game). There's one fight especially when you return to the judges in the underworld that's very full on, as you're tasked with fighting a giant cerberus and two satyrs at once. The satyrs are very tough enemies when you don't know what you're doing; simply spamming the square button won't work with these guys, you've got to understand the mechanics of the game to be able to deal with them. However, this makes it all the more rewarding when you actually beat it! ? Not to mention those challenges of Olympus... Jeez, having to do the one where you get turned to stone 10 times made me rethink everything, it's very tough and luck based. However, a VERY GOOD TIP with this challenge is to try to grab the gorgons as this makes them automatically turn you to stone which alleviates A LOT of the luck for this challenge. Overall, this is one fantastic game! Do give it a go if you're looking for a fun hack-and-slash game with some cool bosses.Difficulty: 5.5/10 (Most trophies aren't hard, but the end of Titan Mode and the challenges are demanding, so it does bring this up. If the entirety of Titan Mode was tough, this would be a solid 6 or honestly even a 6.5, but since it's really only the end that's tough, I reckon around the 5 range is accurate, personally.)Enjoyment: 9/10

Popular Post Rick_Sanchez
Platinum 260 Fun: 7/10 (1/10 when dealing with Ninja RNG) Difficulty: 8/10 (666/10 when dealing with Ninja RNG) Normally when you set out to kill enemies, you use swords, magic, guns and other such weapons. Here there's none of that for you! You have to use traps you set down and lure enemies to them to cause harm to them. Your only limit is set to available traps and how many you can have active at the same time. You can use a handful of sadistic traps that deal massive damage to kill your enemies asap, an elaborate set of traps to send enemies all over the place, or just plain humiliate them with a pumpkin on the head then have a cake thrown in their face. Ideally you use a combination of the three of them to great effect and on top of that use the environment as well. There's a story with multiple endings depending on your actions against a certain enemy and there's a mission mode with different objectives that range from simply killing your enemy to the most frustrating thing which is capture 3 enemies without getting hit. I mention that last mission in particular because you have to deal with a ninja that can teleport right next to you and attack close or long range before you can react, I spent over 3 1/2 hours on that mission dying to that ninja. That type of ninja appears quite a bit late game and when it does, things go from mild amusement to a frustrating time trying to deal with him. Going through the story, you have to clear a number of requests from your allies which range from simply using a trap, to doing a complex combo that leads into killing using a specific stage trap. This is a interesting game but very VERY frustrating going for the platinum trophy. There are video guides for the missions but even then it will still be a challenge.

I don't regret I did it, it was actually a nice experience even though this isn't a masterpiece or something similar, but still, a pretty good game. I feel like it is a little bit underrated. I actually got to like the character of Nillin as many others, and the combats; but yeah, it definetely needed something else to be a great game.

Popular Post Phantochi
#237 - Street Fighter V I've poured in at least 600 hours into this game on PC throughout Seasons 1 and 2. The issues at launch, long load times and terrible netcode frustrated me to the point of quitting, and even hating the game. But then, i came across this game again last year when it was a freebie for plus members, and from that point on, i can honestly say that SFV is a good, fun game that is worthwhile for any fighting game fan. Most of the issues at launch have now been resolved, and there is now a decent amount of single player content for casuals like me that only wants to beat up the CPU to enjoy, even load times are significantly faster. If you're a newbie to the FGC, SFV is probably your best place to start, not only because of its "easy to learn, hard to master" gameplay, but also because of it's large player pool. Popular Post TheAbyssWalker61
Finally i got the platinum and i have many things to say about The Last of Us Part II, i bought the first game in 2013 well it was a gift and since that moment i wish for a sequel because the first part was amazing and when the sequel was announced on 2016 i just cried of emotion and happiness because i always knew that a sequel was going to exist. The time was passing, we were waiting, waiting, waiting and finally 2020 the worst year for me in this century the Collector Edition arrives in my house and i played the game and wow , it was a Rollercoaster of emotions, i felt in the first hour angry, sad, i cursed to the fool of Druckmann because i couldn't believe that the sequel wasn't as i always thought... "The last Journey of Joel and Ellie" but after playing i understand all in the game, with no heroes or villains just people surviving in a awful world like animals many millions of years before... so i just understand this and now it's one of the best games ever made, both TLOU 1 and 2, but no more sequels no remakes, no just give the multiplayer to play as tommy and i will be happy, nothing more, few games give me many emotions like this, thanks Playstation . Popular Post Phlegeth
#45 Plan Beaten Collect every Trophy in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair Even with checkpoints the Impossible Level was a pain. But even then, after going at the final boss for awhile, I went back to the beginning to save lives. And made it to the escape in one run. If I stuck with it, I probably would've beaten it. That final climb before the third boss is so annoying. Like on that good run, I reached that section with 30 bees. When I made it to the boss, I had 17. I got hit 13 times. There were times when the buzzsaw hit me from under the platform.
Popular Post guy_flies
"Don't Ruin The Moment" Uncharted Lost Legacy This was in my backlog for a while. I had two days to spare between finishing RE Village and starting Bio Mutant, with guides putting this as a fairly quick finish and platinum. Also it's by far the easiest Uncharted platinum. There was still the dreaded crushing difficulty trophy but weapon select and unlimited ammo can be turned on after beating the story once making it SO much more doable as a second run. Great game. As beautiful as Uncharted 4 but with some callbacks to Uncharted 2 (including a train level). I really like the relationship between Chloe and Nadine (although their falling out and subsequent reunion felt very quick, but it's a fairly short game so they couldn't argue for too long). It was really nice to have some more Uncharted to go back too and I hope we get some more post-Nathan Drake games in the future.
Popular Post Redgrave
#210: The Final Verse - NieR Replicant Ver. 1.22474487139... Long before this remake was announced my only experience for the NieR series was NieR: Automata and the only way I saw anything of the original NieR was from a Let's Play and so when they announced they were remaking the first game I was glad that I could actually play it myself with updated combat and knowing there was an extra ending in there. The only letdown I had initially was that I wanted to play as the dad Nier since not only was I more familiar with him but I liked the idea of him being something of a father figure to the other characters which I feel like doesn't happen often for a main character in an RPG. However the brother Nier grew on me as the relationship he had with the other characters developed. Plus it was nice to see Grimoire Weiss be the kind of mentor character for him during the first half when he is younger. Even when I watched the Let's Play of the original I thought the party dynamic was great and still holds up well. One of the things the game does well is tone and not just in the main story but the side-quests as well. A lot of the side-quests pack a bit of an emotional punch which is further emphasized by the soundtrack. Probably my favorite example is any quest involving the lighthouse lady in Seafront because of the somber song that plays whenever you go into the lighthouse and you start to learn more about the lighthouse lady and how her quest line starts to unfold. The main story has it's fair share too, especially once you start doing the B ending. Gameplay-wise it plays similar to NieR: Automata which I welcomed since I found the one in Automata and now the remake of NieR very comfortable to play with. It's not a very complex combat system but it's also not boring to play either. As far as the trophies go, there's a lot of grinding involved along with that trophy where you have to cultivate the rare flower but despite all of it I didn't really find the grind or getting the flower that bad. The grind did get pretty tedious sure, especially for some of the rare materials but I feel like I tolerated it better than most other grinds. At the end of the day I'm glad I got to play this game and experience the great and emotional journey myself, so it gets a heavy recommendation from me.

Single Player is having a great story however you will grind a lot to get all the diamond collectibles and you need to drive around most of the time. There are fast travels but very limited on the map. There are lots of missable trophies and a lot to track manually, luckily i didn’t experience any glitch to avoid a second play-through. https://psnprofiles.com/jamirxp
Popular Post sephiroth4424
#233 Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Remastered Wizardry Whiz Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 2/10 It's still a gem and much better than Ni no Kuni 2 #234 Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (ps4) Be Yourself Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I kinda knew what to expect after Infamous First Light, an overpriced dlc. I liked the 2018's game more than MM. With greater powers comes greater boredom i guess #235 The Amazing Spider-Man (vita) Does everything a spider can! Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Now that's a Spiderman game i liked more than Miles Morales. Solid gameplay and story. What killed the fun was collecting all those comic papers in free roam. 600 collectibles are way too much #236 The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (ps4) Does Everything a Spider Can! (not) Enjoyment: 3/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Continuing my Spiderman runs and omfg, the sequel is horrible. Swinging through the city was so slow and bad that i ended up running from objective to objective. Saving civilians from fire was lame and the game had even worse collectibles in free roam than the first one. I'm surprised anyone funded the 2018's game after this one #237 Control (ps4) Director of the FBC Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 1/10 (with the supports) Another ''offer'' by ps+. Story was very intriguing for most part but it ended up with more questions than answers. AWE dlc was very good. As for combat, i cheesed the game with supports so i can't really say. They should have locked us out from trophies while using them, but since they didn't, i couldn't resist ?
