Popular Post madbuk
#422 - Aragami I don't often play stealth games, so I was at a bit of a disadvantage here, but overall it wasn't particularly hard and I had a very pleasant time with it. The shadow dash mechanic is very fun, and I enjoyed that it was possible to get through every level entirely stealthily without killing anyone at all. The trophy list requires 2 runs - one for no kills, one for all kills (and one of these runs has to be done without being detected too), and I definitely enjoyed the no kill run more. Part of that may just be because there was no way to tell if you missed a guard somewhere until you finish the chapter, and then if you did you have to replay the entire chapter again. Graphically it's very stylish and looks great. The story is nothing special, but it's adequate and better than not having one at all. Was a refreshing change of pace compared to the usual type of games I play, it's currently on sale stupidly cheap, and doesn't seem to go on sale often. Definitely recommend it.
Popular Post Zach
#187 Kingdom Hearts II (PS4) Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 6/10 Time: 101hrs Ah, finally... my first platinum in over 3 months! School has had me swamped. I'm going to start making time for my favorite hobby, though! On to the game, Kingdom Hearts II was a near masterpiece. I really enjoyed the first game and if recall correctly, I gave that a 9.5/10. KH2 tops KH1 it in ever category, though! The combat, cutscenes, dialogue, enemies and story are all vastly improved. Did the difficulty of the added bosses in this final mix version annoy the hell out of me? Hell yeah, but difficulty doesn't have to ruin the experience, and that's the case here! Critical mode was so fun as well. Critical is how the game should be played if I'm being honest. All and all I loved this game so much! What's next? First I'm going to do the new DLCs for Immortals Fenyx Rising, Borderlands 3, Human Fall Flat, and AC Valhalla before I start my next platinum.
Popular Post Draps-1337
#125 Project Diva f (vita) Difficulty 6/10 Enjoyment 7/10 I really enjoy rhythm games and this one is no different. Though I did find the patterns of the notes to be quite challenging sometimes in this game. Especially in the harder difficulties. I really had fun getting this platinum except for the massive grind to unlock all the diva modules (skins) as they took up a solid 1/3 of my total platinum time. Moving onto the next game f 2nd while I've still got the muscle memory. Hopefully, the grind isn't as long because I can bring my diva f save over to f 2nd. But we'll see. Happy hunting!
Popular Post TAHKNCT
№ 63 - Guilty Gear Strive Difficulty: ~6-7/10 Time: <10 hours Huh. Who would have guessed that a combo alergic scrub like me could get a plat in an ArcSys title, let alone in a Guilty Gear. Well, to be fair, it's probably 2nd easiest AND fastest platinum from ArcSys, 2nd only to BB Tag, but still, last boss was, well... ...I'll just say he took a while. Mostly 'cuz I was too stubborn to (ab)use Sol/Anji and wanned to see Potemkin's arcade ending. Shame ending sucked, tho. As a comboalergic grappler enjoyer I recomend Strive. OST is great, story (arcade aside) is neat, and Roman Cancels let ya do some wacky stuff, even if you too just as comboalergic as me.

Popular Post ZachBoardyHD
Platinum 115: Alien Isolation I was a little worried about this game when first heading into it as I heard the game was really difficult and higher difficulties with the Alien, but being a massive fan of the alien films (even the prequels), it was inevitable that I had to pick this game up even if I couldn't platinum it, and oh boy! What a game this was to play. It's rare with me when playing a game that I get shocked with the game itself and with this game, it had the looks, the atmosphere and the music from the original Alien film which you can tell a lot of thought and care went into making it as when going to different locations I wanted to explore and look around the station but obviously because I wanted to achieve the No Deaths trophy on my first playthough, I had to back off a bit and just stick with going from A to B. If you're unfamiliar with what Alien is, it's a film series (not the prequels) that follows main character Ellen Ripley in the Sci fi horror/action aspect and the films is basically where she has to deal with an Alien(s) creature called a xenomorph. This game follows her daughter Amanda Ripley (taking place where the first Alien film ended but only the directors cut of Aliens (2) is when Amanda is ever mentioned in the film series). So they had a lot of wiggle room with what to do with her character. With this game following the horror aspect of the franchise, is the game scary? Personally I didn't find it scary at all, it did get me really paranoid and tense (especially towards the end of the game) as you know one little mistake will end up in death where the xenomorph is concerned. But the xenomorph itself is a massive creature who's always lurking around, trying to hunt you down. It did however make me jump a few times through non scripted scenes, for instance, sometimes when I walked into a room, it was just there at the door. With the difficulty I actually didn't find the game hard at all, just more annoying, but the thing I made sure to do was not the let the Alien A.I learn so I just made my way through the game without hardly using any devices or hiding spots or the flame flower against the xenomorph as apparently in the game the AI learns from your actions. Don't get me wrong though, there were parts that took me 40 minutes to beat because I kept dying over and over. One thing I think I do have to call out and call BS on were the androids. I absolutely loathed these so much, they were just too smart and always just there and would spot you so easily, even the Alien had to take a second to see you, but nope, not the androids, if it looks at you even if you're hiding behind an object, it will see you, which towards the end of the game, it was just you sitting there for ages so you could get past the android, luckily though, they don't over stay their welcome as you know it's an Alien game at the end of the day. Popular Post Undead Wolf
#362 - Dragon Age: Inquisition Dragon Age™: Inquisition Platinum Trophy Collect all the Dragon Age™: Inquisition trophies. This was one of the first games I ever bought for the PS4. I purchased it before I had the console even. That was back when I considered myself to be a Bioware fan. Ahh, how times have changed... When I originally played the game, I remember being quite smitten with it. I mean I love RPG's, and the fact that this was one of my first tastes of "next gen" definitely gave me a more positive impression than it actually deserved. It was also the follow-up to Dragon Age II, and it at least *seemed* to be an improvement over that game with its bigger, more varied maps and what not. Coming back to it 6 years later though? My impressions of the game back then couldn't have been more wrong. This game fucking sucks. ? As mediocre as Dragon Age II is, I would take that game over this grindfest any day of the week. Bigger =/= better. Like seriously, they make these huge maps, but fill it with repetitive MMO-like side quests and countless resource harvesting spots. It's all show and no substance. This game also has maybe *the* worst companions/party members in any RPG I've ever played. Like seriously, they have 9 of them, and the only one I like (Varric) is from Dragon Age II. The rest of them range from unremarkable to fucking obnoxious. It's a failure of an RPG just from that alone. Another problem this game has is the progression. They block off the main story missions with a Power requirement, basically forcing you to do menial tasks to acquire more until the game deems you worthy of continuing its story. Not like the story is anything to write home about anyway... It's not just a Power grind though, because you need to grind for stuff like exp and materials too. The previous games in the series weren't like this - they were much more condensed (and better) experiences. I suppose I should mention the combat too. Would you believe me if I said that sucked too? Because it does. A lot of enemies and especially bosses have giant health fools that take forever to chip away at them and it bores me to tears. There was even a boss in one of the DLC's where I put a rubber band around the trigger so it would keep attacking, then I just left it for literally like 30 mins until the boss was dead. Not even kidding... I'm just thankful there are some in-game exploits that made this platinum/100% journey slightly less painful. Glad to have it done. I will be avoiding Dragon Age 4, and any other future Bioware games for that matter, like the plague. They forgot how to make good games a very long time ago. #363 - Sakura Succubus 2 Love yous Succubus even more Find everything there is to find about your Succubus friends. I needed a palate cleanser after that last game, and what better way to do that then to play a game all about making your very own succubus harem? ? I've got to say, this was an excellent follow-up to the previous game. The new girls they introduced were hotties, and it was nice seeing some new scenes from the first game as well. It took me about 3 hours to read it all and... *ahem* "admire the artwork". ? The new girl they showed in the teaser image below has me really looking forward to Sakura Succubus 3. ?

Popular Post YaManSmevz
Platinum #28: Fallout 4 I elected to painstakingly finish all DLC before snagging the plat, and I'm so grateful I did because if I had gotten such a time-consuming platinum only to have to, for example, "Kill 40 creatures exclusive to one DLC but all immediately after taking a certain item, and that item you can only craft there, but only after searching for the recipe so you can make it, and also there's also like twenty of those, and you need to collect all of them, hope that's cool," it would've taken a long time to muster up any more interest. My energy (and patience) for Fallout in general is spent. And as much as I'd genuinely like to check out different builds, play as a woman, do the Open Season quest in Nuka World, and see the two endings I missed, I'm good. For a WHILE. The thing with this game (and I don't think I'm alone here) is that I simultaneously really want to love it and really want to hate it, and both urges are completely justified. I think they did a great job crafting this tremendously convincing world. I truly felt immersed and swept up in the concept of waking up in this wasteland like a real life Fry, happily perking up every time the top left hand corner said "Started: SOME BULLSHIT QUEST THAT IS UTTERLY INCONSEQUENTIAL TO THE REST OF THE GAME." I was dicking around with the Minutemen and settlements for literally days until I remembered the main story. Which I suspect is how it came to the developers - they painstakingly put together this huge, gorgeous place, and then remembered that it's customary for games of this genre to have a story of some sort, and immediately cobble together something about a son, develop a bizarre twi- Sorry, spoilers. "Is it so hard to believe that it's been sixty years," he asks. Yes! And Kellogg?? "Oh yes, I can explain that. It's because we used the, you know, whatever device." You start out all Mel Gibson in Ransom and then when you find your son it's like post-apocalyptic Steamed Hams! "Shaaauuuun!" "Father! I was just.... leading the institute and creating synths! Care to join me?" "Shaun, why are you sixty years old?" "Oh, that's from the cryogenic stasis you'd been having!" Ugh. The exploration is fun enough to make up for it though, especially early on when you can find yourself in real trouble if you aren't paying attention. The different characters, while usually heavily clichéd, are entertaining. The factions also are interesting enough, even the startlingly racist Brotherhood of Steel (whose leader answers the question "what would a douchey craft bartender look like with body armor"). Them, along with the big, bad Institute and the plucky, heroic Railroad, are especially fun midway through when you're still able to come and go between the three as you please (with somehow none of them the wiser). I liked the Dudley Do-Right-esque Minutemen until it became evident that they were never going to run out of settlements to ask me to protect, and that I could play for months without getting any of the actual game done. I think that's where the real problems start, particularly if you're trying to complete it. You're constantly being sidetracked, and sometimes something kinda great gets weirdly morphed into something you would never have any organic interest in doing, ever. "How'd you like to run amok in dilapidated amusement park ruins?" "That sounds fantastic, I'm with it!" "Excellent. How about collecting 100,000 tickets playing mind numbing mini games?" "...wait, what?" How Twilight Zone is that? It's almost as though they're actively trying to get you to stop enjoying the game! "Oh, you like our game, do you?? Let's see how much you like it while getting a settlement to 100% happiness! MWAHAHAHA!" I apologize, I've gone off the rails here. This is not a super hard game, but it will absolutely devour your time. I didn't know the lengths I would go to for a bronze(???!!!!) trophy until I built hundreds of workout benches on a settlement or constructed a ton of cages trying to catch five animals at once or glitched out that dumb hoopshot game for however long that took me. Nevertheless, I am proud of my S grade, and if you have a LOT of time to kill, enjoy exploration, don't mind goofy ass storytelling that maybe takes itself slightly too seriously or a mediocre af combat system, there are worse plats you could own. I think Fallout 4 is definitely at its best when simply played and beaten once or twice. Completing it on the other hand is, while rewarding, a real drag. The endgame grind did get tiring (I'm looking at you Tockles and Costumes) however Acts 1 and 2 were so fun and engaging that I really wanted to see the end! If you are new to JRPG's then this is a great one to dive in on as your first. I know I'm more excited than ever for XII after playing this one! Popular Post Deadly_Ha_Ha
#46 - The Last Guardian Difficulty - 5/10 Enjoyment - 5/10 So this game wasn't bad, I just want to start out by acknowledging that. I do not think this is a bad game, and honestly all things considered I think it's a better game than I even expected it to be. I'd always been interested in it since I am a Team Ico fan from the PS2 and I'd actually never found the right time to play TLG. That being said, I really had a pretty average time with this game so I'm giving my enjoyment of it a 5/10. Enjoyment and quality are not exactly the same thing and I think the quality of the game is even a bit higher but because of the trophies I can't give the overall enjoyment much better than that it was middle of the road, but I also won't give it less than that. I never found Trico to be particularly stupid, and again I even found myself surprised at how not stupid I often found him to be. Now, his AI being a little wonky is felt more or less depending on how dire the situation is, and for the sake of the game itself I was never frustrated with him. For my speed run for Lightning Emissary I definitely found myself at times really frustrated with him but I don't blame the bird-dog-cat for that so much as the trophy. People mostly talk about All Talked Out though when venting about the platinum. The game will sometimes give you hints in the form of bits of narrator dialogue which help guide the player if you stand around too long or interact with the game in specific ways. There are like 95 of them throughout the game and while I did naturally pop some of them the first time I played, some of them are so cryptic and stupid and require the player to stand around for so long that there's just no way you can naturally obtain this trophy; you have to follow a guide. Closely. And because there's no in-game tracker for collectibles you just have to know what hints you miss as you go and pick up the hint on a subsequent playthrough. All collectibles progress carries to every NG+ so at least if you only miss one hint (like I did) after your dedicated hint run you can just nab it next time and get the trophy. Honestly though, I didn't find the hints all that troublesome. A few required a lot of stupid waiting around in a game about movement and freedom, hence the conceptual reason that the trophy is so bogus, but all in all except for missing the one hint and praying the trophy popped when I got it, the PowerPyx guide was so good that it was no sweat. My real worst trophy was the speed run trophy for beating the game in under five hours. I get anxious with speed run trophies unless it's easy to tell how long I've been going for and TLG has no way of knowing (I wasn't keeping track of it outside the game). Of the allotted 5 hours I probably only used maybe 4/5, so it wasn't really that tight anyway. I seriously do not believe this game deserves much derision. It's early tech, it's a different kind of game, but the relationship between the characters was endearing and the story from start to finish was very enticing to follow. Please do not overthink this game and play it if you want to. Once you get used to participating in the game with Trico it really is not that bad. Popular Post Nauticus87
#516 - Trials of the Blood Dragon 2.31% rarity I am ecstatic with this one. Originally played it back in 2016 when it came out and was happy enough beating it with all A ranks. Recently bought Trials Rising and playing through it reminded me of this so I went back. This time I went for the final couple of trophies I was missing, including A+ rankings, which I'd say are around platinum times in Trials Rising for comparison. The sheer variety in this game is amazing, though also frustrating as you've to master a fair few different modes of transport, not all of which are created equal. On foot segments can be clunky and a bit unresponsive. Some levels are straight up unfair, such as one where you're pulling a bomb behind you and it'll randomly decide to flip over and explode. Still, after a lot of perseverance I finished the last level I needed A+ on, level 24, after three hours of playing that one level I not only got it but got a time worthy of 48th in the world, fists were pumping. 7th rarest platinum overall. I'm happy.

Popular Post Pershing24
Got two of the best platinum's on the PS3 and their quite the achievement for me. #66 Trophy of Zeus God of War No, this is not the 2018 reboot but the original God of War from 2005. I got this from the God of War Saga collection from 2012, which is one of the first PS3 game I got. Probably should have gotten this as a my 75th Milestone but its been a while since I got a GoW Platinum and this one was pretty close to completion. I knew the only two trophies that would give me a hassle was the I'll Take the Physical Challenge for Beating all the Challenge of the Gods, and the Speed of Jason McDonald for beating the game in less than 5 hours. At first I though this was almost impossible as it took me over 9 hours to beat the game the first time, and the Temple of Pandora just seems to go on forever. But by playing it on easy and skipping most of the chests, I beat it with 25 minutes to spare. The challenges of the Gods is also very difficult as you have to do all 10 challenges in one go, and #8 and #10 are just insane, but I finally got it. It funny though, looking back at this and Resident Evil 4, games from 2005 certain are a time capsule from a non-PC age, long before Twitter and Twitch caught on. Also some of the dialogue from them are abit cringy. #67 The Final Frontier Dead Space 2 Just when I though the I'll Take the Physical Challenge was a difficult trophy, up comes Dead Space 2 with the Hard to the Core trophy for beating it on Hard Core difficulty WITH ONLY THREE SAVES. That was the really challenge as the game is quite long as it has 15 chapters. At first I followed AnimeDreama trophy guide and divide each of my saves every 5 chapters, but this clearly didn't work as most of the challenging sections are on the later half of the game. It was very demotivated every time you die, as you would lost 1 or even 2 hours of progress. And sometimes you would die from some BS moment, like those free fall section or the elevator, but it was the Mines and the Government sector that was the most challenging. It wasn't so much that you ran out of ammo, its more of the fact you can get overwhelm so easier with all the enemies heading your way. But I was determine, I restarted the game, made my first save in chapter 7 and used the last two for those challenging parts, and with some help from speed runner TheEpicBoss95 who showed me the best approach for those challenging sections, I was able to beat the game! Screw Altman, all praise the Contact Beam for being the best weapon for beating the final boss easily, and when that platinum trophy pop, I felt huge relief as I completed one of the most challenging platinum I got in a long time. Its been a while since I felt this huge sense of accomplishment, but now I'm all worn out, probably just gonna go easy for abit, but this one is definitely going to the cabinet. If your up for a real challenge, then charge up your plasma cutter and get ready to wreck all of Titan Station. Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #612: Difficulty: 1.5/10 Playtime: 1-3 hours Psst! Hey! Yeah, you internet person there! Are you one of the, like, five people whose favourite part of Skyward Sword (the last true Zelda game we shall ever receive, lest we forget) was flying around a mostly empty sky on a giant bird (AKA Palpatine's worst nightmare) in-between actually fun action-adventure gameplay, and would like that one gameplay aspect to serve as the backbone of an entire game? Well, this is the brief, derivative, and underwhelming indie game for you! So yeah, don't really have much more to say about the game itself. Combine that diatribe with not-quite-Wind Waker tier cel shaded visuals, not-quite-Journey-ish anything, and some light puzzley elements, and that's your game. Add some sprinklings of vague "ambient" flavour text backstory that you aren't invested enough in the game to pay no mind... well, at least it's short? If you're lucky(?) enough not to have played the points of derivation for 87.3% of this game's ideas you may well have a better time than I... Hey, not saying it's, like, on the level of lazy trophy whore asset flips, as it does at least exude a certain amount of pride and artisanship, but, man, I don't know. It just fills me with the same manner of distinctly plodding anemic inertia as the floaty jump physics, entry-level puzzles, and poorly optimized loading times, you know? Memories of Old? I'm already starting to forget I ever played this! Lastly, a word to the wise (that would be the person who buys this only at a discount): the EU and AS stacks have patches that iron out certain issues, whereas the NA one does not, for whatever reason. Concordantly, I was screwed out of a potentially good completionist leaderboard spot and am considering swift and decisive legal recourse against this particularly hapless development team. And considering my unmitigated success in this endeavour on the AS stack, you had best believe I shall make doubly sure their next devkit will consist of a half-broken shiv made from a yak's jawbone, a handful of Powdered Toast a year past its sell-by date, and some gently singed hindquarter follicles...! Give my regards to Bubba! (This is all in hyperbolic jest, of course... I mean, I quite enjoy flying in Skyward Sword!) It's my first time playing the Replicant version and it was beautiful. It was nice to revisit the core components of NieR and the extra stuff that was added was pretty cool as well (Ending E omgggg). Felt my playthroughs were going swimmingly, but on my way to Ending C I decided to farm for a good portion of the weapons and the material that was sooo damn stubborn to drop were those fucking Forlorn Necklaces ugh. It's a good thing dlc weapons counted towards the total, otherwise I think I'd still be grinding lol. As always, music is on point. After playing the first game, I'm glad I made that the first plat I went after with my 3 month PS Now subscription. I wouldn't say I loved it, but I at least enjoyed figuring out ways of exploring the city in the game with the gravity mechanics.
