Popular Post The Arizona Ranger
Sigh...time to unleash my inner shameless weeb with this post. (Milestone Platinum) Platinum #10: Sakura Succubus (PS5) Lovely Succubus (98.27%) First Trophy: Shining Idol (Silver) - July 3rd, 2021 (2:50:37 PM) Last Trophy (which popped the Platinum): Who are You? (Gold) - July 3rd, 2021 (4:22:23 PM) Gap (First to Last Trophy): 1 Hour, 31 Minutes, 46 Seconds Game Review Sakura Succubus - 2.5/10 (judged strictly as a game), 7.5/10 (judged as a shameless weeb) Well, there isn't too much to say about this game as a whole. It is just a simple visual novel that happens to filled with some lovely (and diverse) succubi who start taking various forms of interest in a lucky guy who goes from living a boring, uneventful life and finds himself getting swept up into this new, exciting world he is enlightened to after an chance encounter with the ravishing beauty Marina at a local bar. It wasn't the best game that I have ever experienced (outside of a ton of reading and making a few choices that have various impacts on what takes place in the story), but it was still enjoyable to play. Besides, who wouldn't want to spend just over 90 minutes getting to appreciate all of the artwork (the non-lewd art along with the somewhat-lewd/suggestive art) in the game for each of the lovely ladies (Ayu, Cosmo, and Marina) the main character finds himself getting involved with as the story progresses. Platinum Difficulty: 0.25/10 It's a simple visual novel with a few choices that has a minor impact what happens in the story. The only difficulty you will encounter with this game is opening up the main menu to reload a save if you pick the wrong choice/action when prompted to decide what your response to any of the girls will be. If you do play this game, make sure to save each time the game prompts you to select a response/action so if you make the wrong decision and miss out on a trophy, you can immediately go back, reload the save, and make the right choice in order to pop the associated trophy. Was It Fun?: Somewhat (see below): I enjoyed my time with the game. It was short (barely over 90 minutes to 100% the game), the characters you interact with are fun and unique (Ayu - the tsundere Idol who definitely doesn't have feelings for you [like I would ever like a worthless bug like you, baka!], Cosmo - the lovable NEET e-girl, and Marina - the highly successful and seductive businesswoman). However, the game boils down to just a ton of reading, making a few choices, and seeing a bunch of artwork (both SFW and somewhat-NSFW art). There isn't anything too exciting about reading a ton of text, pressing "X" to advance the text to the next page, and then picking one of several different options/answers the game presents you from time to time. Would You Recommend It to Others?: For the most part, no (see below): I would only recommend this game to those who enjoy visual novels that are stuffed with ecchi content or those looking for the opportunity to get a bunch of easy Gold trophies (outside of the Platinum and one Silver trophy, the remaining 11 trophies for this game are all Gold). (Marina: "Bronze trophies? Here? Heaven's no, my sweet, sweet boy....there is only silver and gold trophies within the pages of this novel") Will You 100% The Game?: Already did, chief...this is now my 8th game that I have managed to achieve the fabled "100% Completion" in. SOURCE: https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/12782-sakura-succubus/MossyOakRcn42 Platinum #11: Sakura Succubus II (PS5) Love Yous Succubus Even More (99.20%) First Trophy: Meeting Hifumi (Silver) - July 3rd, 2021 (4:26:15 PM) Last Trophy (which popped the Platinum): Succubus Princess (Gold) - July 3rd, 2021 (7:17:00 PM) Gap (First to Last Trophy): 2 Hours, 50 Minutes, 45 Seconds Game Review Sakura Succubus II: 2.75/10 (judged strictly as a game), 8/10 (judged as a shameless weeb) See what I put in the review for the first game and apply it here. Still just a visual novel infused with a ton of ecchi content and more great artwork of the lovely succubi you become involved with as the story progresses. Two new Succubi are introduced in this game, bringing your harem up to five ravishing women who are in their own ways madly in love with you (even if everyone's favorite tsundere Idol Ayu swears that she would never want to be with a boring guy like you!) This game is a bit longer than the first one (took nearly 3 full hours to complete) and has even more reading than before! Platinum Difficulty: 0.25/10 Again, see what I put in the review for the first game and apply it here. Just read a bunch of text, make a few choices, and reload a save in case you pick the wrong option in order to get the trophy you missed. Unless you purposely make an effort NOT to get all the trophies for this game, you should have no issues getting the platinum. Was It Fun?: Somewhat (see below): Man...I sound like a broken record telling everyone to take what I wrote in the review for the first game and paste it here. Getting to spend more time with these lovely succubi and see the various antics/situations they get up to as they each vie for the affection of our lucky harem protagonist makes for some fun times. Outside of interacting with the characters and seeing the new, slightly more suggestive artwork (that one scene with Marina & Hifumi with the sake bottle *chef's kiss*), it is pretty much the same game as the first one, now with more succubi waifus! Would You Recommend It to Others?: For the most part, no (see below): I would only recommend this game to those who enjoy visual novels that are stuffed with ecchi content or those looking for the opportunity to get a bunch of very easy Silver & Gold trophies (Ayu: "Hmph...no bronze trophies around these parts, baka!") Will you 100% the Game?: Already did, broseph...this is now my 9th game that I have managed to achieve the fabled "100% Completion" in. SOURCE: https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/12973-sakura-succubus-2/MossyOakRcn42 Platinum #12: Sakura Succubus III (PS5) Lovely Succubi (99.13%) First Trophy: Friendly Competition (Silver) - July 3rd, 2021 (8:22:33 PM) Last Trophy (which popped the Platinum): All('s) Well That Ends Well (Gold) - July 3rd, 2021 (10:36:34 PM) Gap (First to Last Trophy): 2 Hours, 14 Minutes, 1 Second Game Review: Sakura Succubus III: 2.75/10 (judged strictly as a game), 7/10 (judged strictly as a shameless weeb) Sigh...please copy and paste what I put for the previous two games here. This time around, the Succubus Queen has taken great interest in our harem protagonist after watching (spying on) all of the various (and sometimes sexy) antics and misadventures he has been getting up to with the five beautiful succubi on Earth. Wanting to make him her lover for the rest of his natural life, she decides to toss her hat into the ring and claims the hapless protagonist for herself, much to the disappointment/displeasure of four of the lovely succubi in your harem (Hazel, the "goes commando under her skirt" tennis extraordinaire doesn't seem to mind losing our guy to her Queen, so long as it makes her royal majesty happy). I found myself enjoying this game slightly less than the second game (there is an actual "Bad" ending you can prematurely trigger if you make the wrong series of choices with the Succubus Queen, which results having to load up a older save in order to avoid it and keep the story [and earning trophies] going). This game is also shorter than the second one was (only took 134 minutes to finish the game). Platinum Difficulty: 0.25/10 Again, see what I put in the review for the first two games and apply it here. Just read a bunch of text, make a few choices, and reload a save in case you pick the wrong option in order to get the trophy you missed. Unless you purposely make an effort NOT to get all the trophies for this game, you should have no issues getting the platinum. Was It Fun?: Somewhat (see below): Man...I really do sound like a horribly-broken record telling everyone to take what I wrote in the review for the first two games and paste it here. This game isn't as fun as the second one was (you will see what I mean if you ever play this game and compare it to the second one), but the new artwork is good (both the non-lewd art and somewhat-NSFW art) and getting to spend more time with each of the wonderful succubi in the game makes for some decent fun (even if it isn't quite as good as what the second game delivered). Would You Recommend It to Others?: For the most part, no (see below): I would only recommend this game to those who enjoy visual novels that are stuffed with ecchi content or those looking for the opportunity to get a bunch of very easy Silver & Gold trophies (Cosmo: "Bronze trophies.... *tilts head sideways with a puzzled look on her face*...what are those?"). Will You 100% the Game?: Done and done, skipper...this is now the 10th game that I have managed to achieve the fabled "100% completion" in. Popular Post arcanehornet_
Platinum #350: Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD Wow, how to begin? First of all, this is a 3D Platformer where you control a monkey in a ball. It’s the latest entry in the Monkey Ball series which dates back all the way to 2002 on the Nintendo GameCube. There’s 10 worlds with bosses included in 8 of them. The game features simplistic stages, where you can fall off easily. Your job is to enter the goal at the end of the level. That’s the basic gist of the game. Also, this is a very exotic platinum, with only over 100 owners on PsnProfiles and with a rarity of 0.3%. I hear you ask, what do you have to do for the plat and why is it so rare? First of all, just beat the game normally. You probably will need time to adjust to the controls, they can be slippery at times. My main roadblock here were the bosses, which can be very janky and tricky to defeat. That was, until I watched this video (https://youtu.be/mGbkMODRfBA) which shows you how to kill the bosses. Turns out, most of them are super easy to abuse with the right tactics. Things get harder after you defeat the boss in World 8 though. First up, you’ll unlock World 9 which is drastically harder after world 8. Harder obstacles will be found here, and more ways to die (Yay.) But World 10 takes the cake. Most levels here are very tricky, especially level 5 (I’ll elaborate more on this later.) After beating level 10 though, you will unlock Sonic, who you can use right away to pop a gold trophy by beating a level with him. Awesome! Also, you can get yet another gold trophy by changing the costumes of each monkey and beating a level with each of them. Now moving on to stage 2, getting the champion medals. In order to get a champion medal, you have to beat a world without using a continue. This doesn’t mean you can’t die, it just means your lives can’t go to zero. You can get more lives by collecting bananas. I wouldn’t say that these are very hard. You can hoard bananas easily to rack up lives. Also, you can just practice tricky levels in the normal mode until you can beat them consistently (same goes for bosses). Obviously the final few worlds are the worst for this.) 3rd Stage Time Attack. Basically time attack means you have to beat world(s) without using a continue. There’s three levels to this: one where you have to beat just the first world, the second where you have to beat 5 worlds, and the last one where, you guessed it,you have to beat all worlds. So I’d wager the final one is probably the hardest trophy in the whole game. The first 8 worlds are not thaaaaaat bad but the final 2 will put a good dent in your lives. Especially level 5 in world 10, which I will now elaborate on. Basically this level features obstacles which make your monkey bounce off in random directions, unless you can land on them properly. The final stretch of the level has 3 of these awful platforms lined up, and you need to jump across them. This made me fail the run on my first attempt (nearly an hour to that point) but somehow I managed to pass it on my second. The “trick” is to land on those platforms in such a way where you don’t fall off, and pray you’ll make it. Anyways, after this level the rest of the world was a piece of cake and I got the trophy. 4th Stage mini games. Yeah, this game has ‘em. In fact, there’s 10 different ones with 10 trophies tied to them. Basically they’re given for beating them in a certain time, or with a certain high score. I already made a long ass post about this in the PSNProfiles forums, so I’ll spare you the details. 5th Stage The Grind. There are two trophies, 1 for clearing Time Attack 36 times, and the other for clearing the Decathlon 36 times. For time attack, you can finish the first time attack over and over again, which takes around 3 minutes. This won’t take that much time. The other though, the Decathlon. Wow, this is a huge pain. In the decathlon you will need to clear all 10 mediocre minigames in a row. Yea… It took me 10-15 minutes on average to finish it. This took absolutely FOREVER and bored me to death, obviously. I recommend listening to a video or podcast in the background to make it less shit. To finish, why is this plat so rare? Because most people didn’t bother with the minigames, or Time Attack or any of that stuff, and because this is a fairly obscure game which not many people know about. Still though, I highly enjoyed the main game overall. I’m super duper excited for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania coming out in October Fun: 7/10 Difficulty: 6/10 Time: 50+ hours Edited July 4, 2021 by arcanehornet_

Popular Post Rick_Sanchez
Platinum 262 Fun: 7/10 (2/10 for grinding levels/money) Difficulty: 7/10 While you might think this might be a movie based game, it isn't based on the movie. You instead play as different group of survivors throughout the world completing 3-4 missions for each of their stories. You can go online to play with other players and for getting the trophy for beating all the levels on Insane difficulty you'll need a good team. The trophies range from easy to obtain to a long grind fest to unlock all the perks for your classes which includes the multi player classes. There are a handful of multiplayer trophies which you'll need 8 people to lock out a room from level 999 people who are goddly at the game. After you do everything from the misc trophies to beating all the levels on insane you'll have the trophy for unlocking all perks on all classes which will take the longest to grind as perks can cost between 150-500 credits to unlock and if you complete a level on extreme difficulty you'll get around 800 credits which leads to a ton of missions having to be played and with not many missions to be played this will get boring real quick.

Popular Post dieselmanchild
#215 - Red Dead Redemption (3.27% UR) It took me years, but I finally got around to playing one of the great classics from last generation, and one of Rockstar’s most acclaimed games to date - Red Dead Redemption. And boy, what fun it was! I have been putting this one off for a very long time, mainly due to the extensive multiplayer trophies and DLCs which were sure to be a huge commitment, but after the recent announcement of some Rockstar games closing their servers in the near future, I realized I’d better get this one done sooner than later. I’m glad I did too, because in the end the grind and the many hours spent coordinating and organizing boosting groups was well worth the highlights of the overall experience. This game still holds up remarkably well for an 11 year old game. It took a couple days, but once it gripped me it held on and didn’t let go. I’ve played little else this last month, spending most of my time deeply immersed in the old American west and the life and trials of John Marston. Rockstar has always excelled at building immersive worlds open worlds that are easy to get lost in, but they did an equally great job writing a compelling story and cast of supporting characters that made it really difficult to put the controller down. I’m typically not a huge fan of multiplayer games, especially when trophy hunting is concerned, but I found the online free roam mode to be pretty fun to screw around in. I was also lucky enough to get a pretty good group of fellow boosters in all my groups, so all those hours spent recruiting players and the headaches of organizing online sessions paid off nicely when I met a lot of cool people and had a much smoother overall experience than I have typically had in past multiplayer games. Another thing to note here - Undead Nightmare was awesome! I’m not a big fan of DLCs either and have played way too many games where the DLCs were just more of the same rehashed crap from the main game (particularly in open world games), but I AM a big fan of zombies, and Undead Nightmare was a unique experience and easily makes its way into my list of the best DLCs I’ve ever bought. That typical Rockstar humour was ever present here, with tons of silliness and had the general feel and tone of a bad B-movie horror flick throughout. This was obviously what they were going for, and I felt they nailed it. Quite a few laugh out loud moments, and buckets of zombie gore and brains to make every kill immensely satisfying. I am sad this one is over, but I am now dying to play Red Dead Redemption 2 and will be looking to pick that one up in the future. From everything I’ve seen and read about RDR2, I might get lost in that game and never be found again. ?

Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #153 and 154 - Atelier Ryza 2 (PS5 and Ps4) 29.04% / 40.65% Rarity Difficulty - 3/10, Time Spent - ~40 Hours / 10 Hours, Enjoyment 5/10 Atelier Ryza 2 is the second adventure you go on with Ryza and marks the first time Atelier games are available on the PS5. Note that you get a free upgrade to PS5 if you ordered the PS4 version, which is exactly what I did. In this game Ryza and company go on adventures in mysterious ruins with their mysterious fluffy friend Fi. While they try to unlock the mysteries of the ruins, it becomes clear that something sinister happened to drag this old civilization into ruins. I did not like this game very much. It seems like they tried to make everything too complicated in this game. The alchemy system-- which is one of the reasons I enjoy Atelier games so much-- is a convoluted mess, and they did away with some of the interesting features that made alchemy fun, like combining two traits in order to get a more powerful trait. Equipment in this game is a disaster... it seriously took an hour just to alchemize good weapons for my 3 main characters, and that was with using tricks like duplicating ingots so that I didn't have to spend even more time crafting them. I didn't even bother outfitting all 7 characters in the game because it would have been a huge timesink to do so... which is a shame because I never got to switch up my party to find what my favorite party was (though playing the game on Normal difficulty doesn't really necessitate using a specific party). The battle system was another thing that they overcomplicated. You can have three characters on the battlefield and it is somewhat turn-based. Basically there is a meter which shows the time until your turn as well as the enemies' turns and then you have your turn, which is done in real time so you don't really have time to think about what you're going to do (fortunately it does pause the battle if you're deciding on using an item). But you only control one of your three characters at any time... you can switch to the other characters, but there really isn't enough time between turns to be able to "use" them all effectively. You also can't set up schemas for them to follow, like prioritizing healing or something like that... the most you can do is say that they have free reign to use "action points" which allow them to use skills rather than just their base attack. It's a convoluted mess that you eventually get used to. I also didn't like how many character events there were. There are six main characters to keep track of events for as well as four NPCs that you have to do events for that are tied to trophies. Then there are 5 additional NPCs that have character events which are indirectly tied to another trophy. Each of these characters has about 10 character events a piece. And so many of the character events are inconsequential and don't really do much for character development. I miss the days of Atelier Rorona where I actually cared about what went on in the character events... and where there were fewer of them per character. I definitely do think there's a difference between the PS5 and PS4 versions as well, especially with framerate. Actually, that was really the only thing that I noticed. I don't think someone who plays just the PS4 version will have a bad time or anything like that, but if you are going from one version to the other you will notice a difference. The one upside to this game was the soundtrack. I found myself humming along with some of the tunes. Also, the monster design was good... they had so many cute monsters!

Popular Post DeathNyx
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Platinum N°100: Lionheart Obtain all trophies Game enjoyment: 9 - 9.5 Trophies enjoyment: 8 Trophies difficulty: 4.5 - 5 Comment: This is it, i finally reached my 100th platinum. I reserved this game just for this special event. It has been a pleasure to be able to play the remastered version of this masterpiece of gaming that had quite an great impact in my gaming life such as bringing me to Playstation console back then when i was an avid Zelda/Nintendo player. Can't remember how many afternoons i spent with Squall&Co back in the 1999, walking around Balamb Garden, playing Triple Triad in Deling City, wandering in its sewers, losing in the Tomb of the Unknown King, trying to figure out how to kill Propagators inside Ragnarok, all without internet and guides... good old gaming times... now i think it's time to move on with the next games (i still own the vanilla version on Vita just in case i want to enjoy the old one and perhaps i'll get the Remastered on Android as well) With this my adventure in FF saga is done (unless SE plans to make a FF8 Remake). I also have plans to move to Series X as my next gen console, for this reason the next game i'll buy will be on there (Persona 5 Royal was my last buy on PS4). I still keep and play my PS4 (you know, for an eventual Persona 6...) tho since i've still some games to 100% complete and important games to play such GTAV/Online and Persona 5 Royal. PS: from now on i won't post every next platinum i'll get on this thread but only the few important ones left.
