Popular Post Sardavanua
#188 - F1 2015 The King of the Road Been returning to this game every couple of months and gave up shortly after every single time. Don't know what happended last time, but all of a sudden I was able to qualify 5 times in Pro Season mode and got the remaining trophies. This whole mode is just ridiculously difficult. Didn't help that the game glitched on me a couple of times aswell. I'm really glad that I finally banished this game out of my backlog for good. Good game all and all, same goes for the trophy list, but I just didn't enjoy Pro Season. At least I got one more UR Plat now. Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #626:Difficulty: 1.5/10Playtime: 30 minutes to an hour So, picture this... you awake in the middle of a forest with nothing on your back except a voluminous mane of luxuriant blue hair, and not a single solitary Scooby-Doo as to how you got there. Said forest is full of creepy hobos gifting you bags of seeds, hallways filled with eyes that just won't stop staring, and little kids making uncomfortable references to potential child abuse if they can't find their missing hat. Oh, and that pill that mother gives you, well, it doesn't not do anything at all... ...Buuuuuut enough about my weekend! I have no specific idea as to how the particulars of this game came to mirror my exact experience, but I think I may need to invest in some six-seven more layers of tinfoil wallpaper to my apartment... So yeah, Dreaming Sarah is a gently trippy--and not so gently mind-fuckingly oblique--platforming game starring Sarah (who may or may not be Dreaming) who has seemingly traded her powers of speech for inordinate jumping power. Her Technicolor dream world traversal is aided by magical floaty umbrellas, magnifying glasses that do you a smol, and necklaces what transfigurates ya into a fish. Bus passes, fake IDs, and bullets (!) that you can use to "help" a faceless piano player also abound. Usually, labyrinthine Freudian and/or Jungian mindscapes tend not to make for easily navigatable platforming levels,... but luckily, Captain Jack Sparrow's magical compass thingy can always point you in the right direction (assuming you can find it first, that is). It isn't really a game world big or sprawling enough for you to ever really get lost, but you've still got to maintain somewhat of a Metroidvania-ish grip on your surroundings. It's not exactly breaking new ground or anything here, but it's a fairly enjoyable experience whose residual bioelectrical activity still resonates within my synapses to a surprising degree. The quirky and psychedelic soundtrack--one of the best I've heard in some time--is worth the price in and of itself! Though not an exemplar of neither ambition nor innovation, the game hardly ever succumbs to some of the more common mistakes of the idiom... you know, the ones you'll find in any middling to mediocre platformer. That's a win for the devs in and of itself... speaking of the devs, they kinda shortchanged themselves with the price point here, especially given they so gracefully threw in cross-buy (even if it's for a system I don't own yet). A game like this is worth $9.99 at the very least! Have some faith in yourselves, guys! Never anything less than competent--and sometimes more--it's far and away a few more than a few cuts above your average one hour platinum game.Final Rating: 7.5/10 Edited July 5, 2021 by AK-1138 Adding formatting on a handheld browser is the shizzling drits...

Certainly - with good reason, of course. Everyone likes to have a place to show their shine new platinum after a victory, and it's nice to see people's achievements and be able to give them a little rep for it. Plus, this thread has become a defecto-reviews thread, so has some good reading too! That's without even mentioning that it is one of the most fecund threads for rep points on the site - I reckon there is no thread who's deletion would would have more of an impact on reputation points site-wide than this one!

Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #95 - Call of Juarez: The Cartel Ace of Spades - Collect all other trophies. 37,058 Owners - 2,242 Achievers for a percentage of 6.05% (average completion; 26.69%) Enjoyment; 6/10 Difficulty; 3/10 (that's with the invincibility glitch - possibly a 5 without) Trophies; 4/10 (perfectly fine list brought down by forced co-op) Fuck shit tits ass dicks balls; 10/10 Wew, this one was quite the ride. Once upon a time, Polish developer Techland and publisher Ubisoft released a few well-received Wild West-themed games to market under the series name Call of Juarez. Then, one day, for no reason at all, Techland decided to fire their entire QA team and inexplicably set the latest installment in the modern day of 2011 (the year this game released). No cowboys and ranchers, but law enforcement and drug cartels. Because why not? They then let a few drunkards write the most expletive-laden, sexist dialogue, forced unnecessary multiplayer in, and called it a day. Playing this game ten years on from its release really shows how society has changed, as these developers would have been burned at the stake for their treatment of the female playable character and how the player needlessly chokes a prostitute during an interrogation. Back in 2011, most everyone shrugged it off with only a select few whining about a potentially racist Trophy. From a gameplay perspective though, this is an interesting title. You play as one of three characters from three different law enforcement agencies as part of an unsteady alliance tasked with taking down a drug cartel. From the Sequoia National Park to the LA suburbs to the desert and finally into Mexico, you get a fair range of different locales as backdrop to the game's FPS violence. The concept is quite alright and you can even play the entire campaign co-operatively online, but the abysmal writing lets the whole thing down. The dialogue is so vulgar, so unnecesarily explicit, that you can't help but laugh half the time. The three player characters hate eachothers' guts, which also play into an interesting mechanic where you have to pick up collectibles without your partners seeing you, where getting spotted means you get no credit at all for the trinket you just picked up. This is tied into the story and each character's motivations, and was a pretty cool little pastime. However, despite the presence of some promising bits and pieces, the game's otherwise pretty substandard mechanics (and weird controls - triangle to reload, really?) firmly plant it in the 'dated' category for me. A product of its time made by a smaller studio on a budget for sure. And, as it turns out, its lack of polish really helps Trophy hunters; playing without the single patch applied lets you abuse an invincibility glitch that makes you impervious to all but explosions and the odd helicopter you encounter during the story, meaning that for most of its runtime you can very simply jog from one end of a level to the other. Easiest 'Hard' playthrough ever! Really the only difficult encounter in the game is against a helicopter when you have little cover, but otherwise the main trouble in getting the Platinum is finding partners for the five awful co-op Trophies. The Cartel uses P2P for its online components, so you can actually play it until the day PSN closes down, and the two Trophies dedicated to its competitive multiplayer mode can be done solo (hallelujah!) but it was actually quite a hassle getting two other players who were still after this game's Trophies in 2021. It's a pretty okay list outside of the co-op stuff, and you even get an in-game Trophy tracker for the cumulative requirements (e.g. a notification for every 200 bullets you fire towards a 1000 bullet target). It's quite hard for me to properly put this game and the experience it can offer you into words, but if you're even sightly intrigued by anything mentioned above then do go to your local used game store and pick up a copy. The Cartel has been delisted from online marketplaces for years - Techland is not proud of it - but there should be plenty of cheap copies to be found in the bottom of the bargain bins. I got mine for two quid, which isn't bad for a full list of Trophies and a fair few laughs along the way.
Popular Post Vacio_Luna
#99 Goat Simulator (PS4) Enjoyment 4/10 Difficulty 5/10 I won't lie, I did this next just to get that much closer to #100. When I first played this on PS3 it was a lot more fun cause I played with friends but this time I played solo. Difficulty gets a 5 because fuck flappy goat. Plan for #100 to be FF7 Remake cause I loved that game.
Popular Post madbuk
#426 - Katamari Damacy Reroll Pretty bizarre decision to remaster this game - Katamari Damacy is the first ever Katamari game, and you can definitely tell. Various QoL improvements introduced in Forever and Touch My Katamari are entirely absent here, and the game's controls feel a little worse as well. There's also less content than there was in Forever, both in terms of number of levels and extra content like new game modes. Honestly Forever seems like it was just the ultimate package of every prior Katamari game, so I have no idea why they opted to remaster this one instead of that one. The very least they could've done is added in some of the minor upgrades Forever had, like having rainbow text for newly acquired items. It's a small detail that was surprisingly helpful and it sucks it's non-existent here. I will say that I appreciated the lack of gimmick levels this one had - it had two, which were both very annoying to get completion in, but Katamari Forever had some even more annoying gimmick levels (hot & cold... oof) that I don't miss in the slightest. Overall I enjoyed this because Katamari gameplay is fundamentally fun, and it's something so unique that I'm grateful we got any "new" game on PS4 at all, but it could've been better. Let's hope we get a PS5 game - PS3 had 1 (Forever), Vita had 1 (Touch), PS4 had 1 (Damacy)... lets keep the trend alive.
Popular Post Red-Izanagi
Platinum #276 : Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Time: About 25 to 30 Hours Difficulty : 3 (Personal Opinion) Enjoyment:: 9/10 So what exactly is Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night? It's an spiritual Successor of the 2D Castlevania Games, that i honestly never played (don't shame me pls) and i picked that Game last year in February. You play as Mirian, who is an Demon hunter and you can absorb the energy of the Enemy in called form Shards. Honestly i didn't catched up that much of the Story sorry for that. The Gameplay is an hack and slash game in an 2D Enviroment and you have many different Weapons to choose from. A Sword? We got it, A Double handed Sword? Yes man. Whip? Of course. and different Ranged Weapons in your dipposal. Healing in this Game consist of Items and food, who you can consume and food eating for the first time gives you boost in your stats, too and you can use Magic, too. Sometimes i struggled with some of the Bossfights and the Final Boss beated the shit out of me, so i reconsider myself to build a better Weapon and fix some of my stats and in the end i destroyed the Boss in 3 Minutes, like, it was a joke then. Trophywise, it's not that bad, you have to complete the Map to 100% and gathering all the different Items, for that, it's important to know, that you have to gathering materials for the different items, since you will spending most for the Items to forge them. Here it's important having a Build, that's boosting your luck, to gather those Materials faster and Money too. Would i recommend this Game? Yes, of course, if you like the old 2D Castlevania Games, then go for it. I can say for Myself, that i enjoyed it. Perfect example of good Gameplay and nice Trophylist, too.
Popular Post Quink666
#378 Nioh 2 You Are Nioh 30,57% Difficulty: / Fun: / Trophies: / Time to Plat: 70 Hours This is how you make a sequel! Improve on the things people liked in the first game while adding new interesting mechanics! Other developers can learn alot from Team Ninja. I got to say this is one of the harder Souls like plats iv'e gotten. I could have made it easier on myself by summoning but decided to stick it out and learn boss patterns. But with a mix of Onmyo and Ninjutsu you can cheese most bosses from a distance. Sloth talisman is still OP in NG but get less effective in NG+ and onwards. Highly recommend this game if you are into Soulsborne games. It will scratch that Elden Ring itch until it releases.
Popular Post Redgrave
#215: Skyclad Observer - Steins;Gate Elite I had bought the physical version of this around the time it came out and so I sat on it for a lot longer than I intended to. Before playing this and even 0 I saw the anime of the original first so I knew what to expect going in, especially since the Elite version uses scenes from the anime. I'm pretty sure most if not all the scenes are from the anime but since it's been a while since I've seen the anime if there were any extra scenes exclusive to Elite then I wouldn't have been able to point them out. That said, the story is as good as I remember it being and I think the only downside to it is that there's no way to play with the original artstyle which would have been nice.
TheAbyssWalker61
That's a Wrap!Unlock all bronze, silver and gold trophies. I must say that these types of games are not my thing, I have the platinum of Detroit Become Human and I wanted to try this only because they gave it in PLUS, I never heard of this game, nor did I know that such a game existed and well the true ending is fine, the actress it's beautiful and the characters are really normal, a story that is more suitable for a miniseries than for a game, but the London Studio has to do something, right? I hope that Sony gives London Studio better resources to do other things, these types of games are personally tiring and making them platinum is only 6 hours, we spend more on JRPG and sandbox but for some reason, these games for me are more tedious even if they are short, the story it leaves you with many questions, the decisions don't change a lot, I just recommend the game for 3$ or if you like so much this type of game, it's as i said a 5 of 10.
Popular Post Phlegeth
#48 N7 Elite ME3: Acquire all trophies Never played Mass Effect 3. Like I played the first two on Steam and then 3 came out for Origin and I didn't feel like downloading a new launcher. But anyway, this game was great. Citidel DLC was the best. The endings were something. I can see why people had a problem with them back then. I meant to get the Destroy synthetics ending, but I accidentally turned everyone into Digimon.

Popular Post Draps-1337
#129 Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2ndDifficulty 5/10 Enjoyment 7/10 I played this on VITA and I'll admit smashing this for hours on end really did a number on my thumbs. quite a bit harder and much more grind-filled than F was. But honestly they are really solid rhythm games. No noticeable input lag on vita and interesting patterns on each difficulty. grinding out the diva points on some of the song meant playing the song 30+ times. which did get a bit boring after getting the Perfect several times. Moving onto X now and its really different but looks even more grindy, so I might just beat this one and move one rather than going for the complete.

Popular Post Deadly_Ha_Ha
#48 - Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Difficulty - 4/10 Enjoyment - 6/10 This was originally a PSP game, and as I'm coming to find more and more it's my desire to have as many PS2 and PSP titles on this account as I can. This is actually the second time I got this plat, the first being a few years ago on my old account, and I knew eventually I'd circle back for it on this account. I don't think this game is for everyone, a thought backed up by a lot of the people in the threads, but I have always believed that this game comes out in the green by the time you finish it. I think the PSP was actually a tremendous console and devs did a lot of amazing things with it, so maybe the context affects my experience but I'm pleased with having done this game again. The gameplay is hindered by the combat repetition which is a shame, as I see this as being one of those games that has a deeper set of systems than is really applicable, but I've never experimented with the higher difficulties (Hard or Very Hard which is unlocked post-game) so maybe the customizations and deeper options shine a bit more there. All the same you have a lot of characters to choose from, and the game does not reward you for just choosing one and running with them the whole way through. There are times when you'll die in pretty stupid and cheap ways, and if you're not ready with Phoenix Downs or Phoenix Pinions then you're dead in the water without some backups. Personally, my go-to was Cater who uses a Magitek pistol. Range options seemed to be the most consistently powerful choice of weaponry, and honestly because of this there were some characters who were just a lot less viable a lot of the time. There is a lot of optional content in this game and your only reward for doing it is to experience the game. I think the trophy list could have been a lot more fleshed out and this game could have been a lot rarer, but it is what it is. Some of the optional content even on Medium difficulty is very challenging (sometimes in kind of a cheap way) and in all honesty I got to a point where I just wanted the plat, so I left a fair deal of content behind. I'm a fan of this game, and I liked its use of FFXIII things like l'cie. And this song which plays at the beginning and end of the game is actually great:
