Popular Post its_ArchroniX
#40 Dying Light 0.8% on Console - 6.49% on PSN Get all game trophies. You know about those games other people tend to praise and enjoy but you just casually hate? Well, Dying Light is exactly that for me. I've seen people describe it as 'One of the best zombie games of the last decade' but my personal opinion strays far away from that. Th game's story can be described in one word: 'disappointing'. It doesn't go anywhere. It feels like they used a formula that's already present in so many games and tried to give it that zombie formula to it but it just doesn't work. There's one bad guy who's got a trillion henchmen and you need to stop him, quite thrilling isn't it? Mario games have been doing it for over 30 years, just saying. The side-quests are the reason this game is somewhat good and this is where the games shines in my opinion. They're fun and different from each other. Yes sometimes it's just 'Get X amount of that item for me' but what game doesn't have that? Honestly the side-quests in this game are more fun and a better investment of your time than the entire story is and will be. And now the reason why I hated this game so bloody much: The free-running. I get the developers tried to give Dying Light that little extra by adding free-running into the game which allows you to be a first person zombie slaying Spiderman but it just doesn't work. This game would've been a thousand times better if they removed this whole thing and it feels more like a gimmick than an actual game changer. And the fact the grapple hook lets you down 9 out of 10 times isn't helping. Really, the moments where I latched onto something only for my character to not grip himself onto the wall followed by falling to my death is uncountable. Combat wise the game doesn't make much sense either. You want to be using a melee weapon in most situations because using a gun attracts unwanted attention. Quite a fun mechanic to say the least but this makes the game so much worse. The normal zombies (also known as biters in this game) are really easy to kill with melee weapons, but try killing Volatiles (the speedy freaks that show up at night) or Super zombies (the big guys throwing rocks at you) with a baseball bat or a hammer. That's not going to work. The game isn't rewarding you for creative kills nor is it making life easy on you for using a gun for once. I bought the game in 2015 but sold it afterwards because I didn't like it. Picked it up in a sale around June 2021 because I thought the game might've improved a little or I would look at the game in any other way but I was wrong. Undoubtedly one of the worst AAA games I've ever played Quite a shame this game turned out to be platinum #40. Worst part: I still have to play the damn DLC...... Baranov_925
#61 - Gravel - Time - 10 hours Difficulty - 2/10Another easy, racing game, quite similiar to Ducati 90. Online is dead, however I managed to find players and score online trophies without boosting. Can you believe it, because I can't. Anyway, next plat that make me closer to 100. Popular Post iFraaN97
# 298 - Mafia 1 Remake Enjoyment : 8.5 / 10Difficulty: 4.5 / 10 Never had the chance to play the original, so I'm glad they did a remake, the game definitely deserves it. The platinum wasn't that bad at all, I played on Classic difficulty from the start, so I didn't have to spend any time on a second playthrough. The infamous race was definitely annoying, but it gets easier after some retries.

Popular Post Shrooba
50th Platinum Milestone - Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Masters of the Multiverse After 2 years, I've finally reached my 50th platinum! I had originally intended Furi to be the milestone, but I couldn't wait to play the game so I ended up doing that earlier. ? I instead decided to make Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart my 50th plat in the end. Rift Apart is the latest installment in the Ratchet & Clank series that has spanned since the PS2 era, and sees lombax Ratchet and his metallic partner Clank venture through a dimension where their nemesis, Dr. Nefarious, transports them all to a dimension where he always wins, and thus a grand adventure ensues. Since the game is relatively new, I won't speak much more of the story, but it has a really great finale! The gameplay is as engaging as always, with a plethora of unique weapons that have many upgrades to power them up and keep them relevant through the story. There's also some rocket boots you get later on that opens up to some really fun platforming; you can reach serious distance with your jumps, alongside the ability to wall run and do a dash midair (which can even let you phase through certain glass walls). The RYNO, of course, makes another return and it's as strong as ever... I do wish there was a bit more effort into obtaining the RYNO (you only need to find the spybots located on each world to unlock it) but it's still a great way to explore the worlds and search every nook and cranny. Of course, there's newcomer Rivet who is essentially her dimension's version of Ratchet, and she has a great amount of involvement in the story with the same familiar gameplay. Alongside this are puzzle sections with Clank that incorporate various orbs that allow the ability to run faster, jump higher, phase through electrical wires, and even affect the gravity of various obstacles like saw blades to allow you to reach the end goal. Another key feature is the fast loading, which plays into great in-game sequences where you can load from one locale to another in a mere instant, especially in scenes where the duo get sent through dimensions in a rapid pace. I want to go into more detail, but given the recent release of the game, I'll hold back on any more details. This is definitely a great game and just a peek into what the future holds for the console! This is an amazing game and I recommend it to anyone who has or will get a PS5. Popular Post Viscera1900
# 311 - Persona 5: Strikers True Phantom Thief "Earned all trophies." Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Completion time: 87 hours (in game) / 4 months, 1 week (PSNP) Back to the world of Persona 5, but in action RPG format, so this time around it's more fast paced than ever when exploring dungeons. Soundtracks of this game are really good & catchy, since there are lots of original P5 musics; also few new ones & remixes of P5 soundtracks Persona 5: Strikers' story takes place 4-5 months after the original Persona 5; not Royal sadly, meaning there are few story related stuffs missing. The highlights of this game are definitely story & interaction between main characters. Trophy wise it's not overly difficulty game to achieve a platinum trophy, just very time consuming thanks to a requirement to max out Bond skills...
Popular Post Deadly_Ha_Ha
#49 - Rogue Galaxy Difficulty - 4/10 Enjoyment - 9/10 I try to treat ratings kind of seriously, with 5/10 meaning perfectly average. Giving this game a 9/10 for enjoyment is actually a really intense rating for me because that of course means it was almost a perfect experience without exaggeration. Well, without exaggeration, the experience of spending 90 hours with this game was about as close to perfect as I can imagine. This is a Level-5 game and I'm pretty on board with them. Dark Cloud, Dark Cloud 2, Ni No Kuni, and now Rogue Galaxy. Dark Cloud 2, for reference, is a game I have long considered to be a king of games since I bought it almost two decades ago, and I never thought Level-5 had ever outdone themselves with that game. Well, I was wrong. This game is the best Level-5 game ever made, and while Dark Cloud 2 inhabits an untouchable place in my life, I really must admit that a better game was made and I never knew much about it. This was the first time I'd ever played Rogue Galaxy, and I just cannot believe how amazed I am with it. The game is almost 15 years old mind you, but there was a part in the game that had my jaw on the floor and my eyes bugging out. It felt like I was really experiencing something amazing in video games again for the first time since the PS2, which I believe is the best console and the best time for games ever in history. Nothing I can recall from the PS3, PS4, or the PS5 which sucks, has given me that kind of expectation-defying excitement. It really reminded me what games used to be and what level of excellence Level-5 had achieved. Unlike the other two PS2 Level-5 games, this is not a dungeon crawler, but instead a more traditional JRPG. You end up with a total of 8 characters over a few chapters and can switch out any two of them at any time, inside or outside of battle, while the main character Jaster must always be in your party. Jaster is an orphan who grew up on a slave planet and dreams of traveling through space and saving his planet. Not the most unique plot, but I bought it and where it ended up going by the end of the game. The voice acting in this game is absolutely top-notch, even including Batman Beyond's Will Friedle playing Jaster. You fight, level up, synthesize weapons, and die a lot, and it just never got old for me; never once. I don't believe it was the best ost in a Level-5 game but the music was good enough (though I did resort to muting it and listening to other things at the more grindy steps in the plat grind). I see people in the threads not having too positive a feeling about the game or its parts, and I'm sorry the game didn't take hold of their appreciation, but for anyone whose niche is mid-console-gen RPG's, this one cannot be missed. Level-5 has their quirks and those are here: messy menus, minigames, extraneous details, and not all of them I loved, but I can honestly say that I should have paid them more attention while playing rather than just waiting to slam them for trophies at the end. After 50 plats my account is going to change. Looking back, there are games I would like to have swapped out since I think about it like the first age of this account is coming to an end and a new one is beginning. This game though, I am so happy to have done right before the end.

Popular Post Eagle
Platinum #11 – Resident Evil A really innovative game for its time period, basically pioneering the survival horror genre and giving birth to a really successful and loved franchise. Still a fun and scary experience today, but its date shows in some places (like the damn fixed camera angles) and 6 playthroughs for the plat did get a bit tiring. Full review here, next up is Just Cause 3. Edited March 13, 2022 by Eagle

Popular Post Draps-1337
#130 Immortals Fenyx Rising I quite enjoyed this title, it's probably one of Ubisoft's better titles from the last few years. I know a lot of people compare this to Zelda BOTW, and while it's a free-form open world with 4 main quests and a go everywhere kind of freedom. I think it's less of a sandbox, unlike Zelda. Which is quite refreshing. The power fantasy of getting so strong that nearly no enemy poses a threat at the end game is really great considering your rise to godhood. That power-trip was completely void in Zelda. This game's greatest feature is the spacing of its activities. There everything isn't vastly spread out, there isn't any dead time of just running through empty terrain for 15 minutes. The writing is also very well done. lots of humor and presents a nice perspective on morality and responsibility. Overall I recommend it, it runs and looks great on PS5. Happy hunting!
Popular Post ShimizuGear09
#324 - Toukiden Kiwami After 4 years and 286 hours I finally got the platinum on this game. It started very nicely and I liked this game a lot (at first) but the road to platinum was awful since it requires to complete all the missions (excluding extras and DLCs) combined with an insane mix of grinding and RNG. A very good title if you don't care about the platinum however

Popular Post DarkSamurai69
#350 Yakuza Kiwami 2 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 Difficulty: 4/10 I really enjoyed this a lot. The story felt slow at the beginning but it picked up around halfway through. Granted I was doing substories and minigames alongside the main story so that could be why it felt slow at some parts. The story of this game might be as good as Yakuza 0 if not better. References to previous entries are nice to see. The combat this time around is centered around one style and it worked fine. There just wasn't a lot of variety in that aspect but it is and will always be fun using heat actions in any Yakuza games. Having that Majima Saga tie up the loose end from Yakuza 0 was so satisfying. Onto the next entry of this crazy world.

Popular Post madbuk
#428 - Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky I was looking forward to this after a relatively promising start to the series with Ayesha, but... honestly this one was kinda a slog for me. The characters are all pretty bland, the plot feels entirely unrelated to the events of Ayesha, the time limits were a lot stricter and more stressful, and... idk. Something about this just really didn't engage me as much as Ayesha. I do like the chemistry between Logy and Escha, they're perhaps the highlight of the cast, and it had some pretty touching endings even despite how little I was engaged in the story during the game itself. The fact that I was playing this via PS Now and was having issues with getting that to work didn't help my enjoyment either. I will say though that the QoL improvement of it actually telling you where events are is very nice, no more blind wandering around. That was the biggest pro this game has compared to Ayesha. Despite the good main characters, decent endings and good QoL improvements, I really just can't recommend this. It's not a bad game by any means, it's just completely mediocre and average. Will I continue and finish off the trilogy with Shallie? I had intended to do the whole trilogy after finishing Ayesha, but now I'm not so sure. Still a few months until my Now sub runs out though, so we'll see.
Popular Post Jordio
Platinum #19: Uncharted (PS3) Enjoyment: 4/10 Difficulty: 6/10 Time ~30 hours Man, I really want to like this game, but it just has not aged all that well in my opinion. I played it about 8 years ago for the first time and I felt the same way then as well. I think a bit part in how I feel about it is the fact that I played Uncharted 2 first and tend to compare the two. I'll start with the combat. It's not that it 's bad, it just feels monotonous. Go here, guys pop out at you, kill guys, repeat. This wouldn't bee all bad, but the guns themselves are very basic and at times make no sense (Why does the basic ass pistol kill enemies in fewer bullets than the M4?). Also, they introduce a stealth mechanic and then make it completely useless in almost every fight in the game since enemies will just see you immediately after stealth killing someone. Second, the environment is very monotonous as well. It's either jungle, ruins, or some combo of the two. You do get a bit of a change when you go into the bunker, but by then it's too late and the level is really short as well. Third, the villains are just kinda boring and forgettable. They never really show their motives for the whole thing and you very rarely see them in first place. Finally, those damn jet ski levels. All in all, not a bad game, but it definitely shows its age. But this leads into: Platinum #20: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3) Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time ~30 hours I love this game. Now, I know that's a bit of nostalgia talking, but even objectively, this is still a great game. Basically everything was improved over the first game, from the combat, to the characters, to the settings, and the plot. There are so many more guns and they are all fun to use. Lazarevic is an amazing antagonist and the addition of Chloe is great. You go to so many different locales compared to the first one. The fact that I can say all this in 2021 shows that Naughty Dog really outdid themselves with this game. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think it is perfect. I think that the game on crushing tends to be pretty BS at times and there are some chapters I could do without (Chapter 22). The final boss fight is totally busted and not that well designed and playing the games on Crushing has made me never want to attempt Brutal in the remakes since I can already see myself raging. But overall I had a blast with this game again and it is so fitting that I get the platinum for it almost 10 years to the day of getting my first trophy in this very same game.
