Popular Post Dauersack
'n Verlore Verstand #59 A Complete Journey There is a funny story involving getting the last trophy of this game I shall mention at the end. This game is garbage, straight up garbage. Tbf I expected it to be garbage, I bought it only when it was dirt cheap and because the name amused me, as it sounded like some really inept people tried to use a German phrase and failed miserably at it, mangling the phrase. From the trailer and description, I kinda expected a less polished version of "Ether One", a walking simulator with some fun and elaborate puzzles and a semi decent story that gets told while walking through the absurd world. Let's just say what I got was far worse than I ever expected. The core gameplay in this first person Unity Engine (big red flag already) game is walking, running and Jump ’n’ Run sessions so bad that the only reason I did not go completely apeshit was me already finishing the single worst first person Jump ’n’ Run section in gaming history in a game called "Strafe", but it still was neither easy nor enjoyable. Theres a few levels that get recycled several times, becoming more absurd, and aside from "reach the tree" you never get any instruction on wtf you are even supposed to do, so you are cluelessly running around trying to guess what these so called developers were thinking at that particular section. The platinum demands finishing the game, gathering the worst set of collectibles (60 goddamn flowers that sometimes look just like the area surrounding them) I have ever seen in a game, and then there is beating each of the 19 levels in mostly tight time trials, which turned out to be the hardest part due to a game breaking bug affecting trial 8, making it downright unplayable due to constant freezes. Bugs are a constant problem in this game, from getting stuck at shit over falling through the floor to the game crashing to outright getting hurled into the air after getting in contact with invisible walls. The few interesting ideas the game has die a pathetic death under all the problems it faces and it was a miserable experience. Getting back to that severely bugged time trial 8. The game would always freeze in between 2 and 8 seconds after entering that trial, nothing could be done about it except staring at the ground, which prevented it from happening as it seemed like a certain effect in the map was causing the game to freeze. Running through a labyrinth without seeing shit (cause you had to aim your camera at the ground), with a tight timer, moving floors and walls and always expecting it to freeze was disgusting and I was unsure if I was even willing to put in the hours to bother with this pile of shit, I still wrote down the directions to run through. Then something funny happened. Retracing my steps from yesterday night, it seems that as I returned home I played this trial and somehow managed to finish it less than half a second before running out of time. I say it seems because I was so drunk after coming back home that I do not even remember playing it, but I wrote some really mangled English aimed at someone on Discord that kinda summarizes what I did, which is hilarious because while I was sober I never even managed to get past the moving circle rooms due to my habbit of always looking slightly up there to try and navigate there, but in my drunken stupor I must have managed to get through that part at some point and then I was still able to run the directions I wrote down on paper. This game made me mad, really mad, and since it is far from the first indie game to piss me off royally due to a complete lack of standards, I shall hereby proclaim that my support for unknown indie developers is retracted, I shall avoid any indie game I do not already own and only ever buy new ones after extensive research on their quality, because after games like Necrosphere, Strafe and this pile of garbage here I gotta say that I lost my trust in them. Big companies at least tend to fix their buggy trophies instead of letting the players figure out annoying workarounds. As for my next game, given that i've had more horrible than good experiences in my last 10 completed games, I will play a game that I am almost certain to love, a remake of one of my favorite PS1 games from way back, Digimon World. Popular Post Red-Izanagi
Platinum 277 Max Payne 3 Difficulty: 8/10 Time: 100+ Hours Well, i don't want to make a big review, so let's make it short as possible. After hearing about the Server shutdown announcement, i wanted to give this game a go and it payed off at the end for me. Well written story and a good challenge with the infamous New York Minute Hardcore. Multiplayer was well, just a grindfest and straightforwarded boring. Playing the same Chapter over and over again just for the level 50 trophy was kind off a big letdown and hearing always the same dialouge with the cup of warm milk and a blowjob, ughh. Well at least i get this done out of my way. Just another day at the Office
Popular Post ASMODAIOS344
Virginia I never made decisions. Things always came up and made them for me. A very interesting experiance more like a artistic expresion than a game. I really like the art style and the subtle narrative, even though i understand different a crucial plot point. A Special bravo to the composer for the fantastic soundtrack?
Popular Post JoaLoft
#269 - Life is Strange: True Colors Took me weeks to find the energy and time to complete another platinum trophy, but I went for the brand-new Life is Strange: True Colors this time. It centers around Alex Chen, an orphan girl, who reunites with her older brother Gabe at Haven Springs, a quiet little mining town where she hopes to rebuild her life. Less than 24 hours pass and: Gabe has died under dubious circumstances. In the aftermath of his sudden loss, Alex tries to cope with her brother being gone and digging deeper to find out why he died, and who is responsible. Because as it turns out: underneath the pretty varnish of Haven Springs lies a rotten core, a dark secret which will provide the answers Alex seeks. So, it's a Life is Strange game with plenty of melancholy and joy, with a great soundtrack yet again, where feelings take center stage and hard decisions must be made. All quintessential to a good Life is Strange story, but the "feelings" bit can be taken quite literally in this entry. Alex's special ability is one where she can sense people's emotions, read their thoughts and even vividly feel said emotions if they're strong enough. This opens up interesting scenarios where someone else's fear can cripple her if said person is terrified to death, or where someone else's anger can make her blood boil. Equally, she can sense pure bliss if someone is ecstatic or in a daze of happiness. As Alex starts to help people with their emotions, she learns that her ability is not necessarily a curse, but actually a gift. The experience as such is two-fold: on one hand, it's about Alex coming to terms with her power and earning her place among the residents of Haven Springs. And on the other hand it focuses on the mystery surrounding Gabe's death which she is trying to solve, and yields some shocking revelations about the town and who is responsible in the final chapters of the game. Worth mentioning: the link with the previous games is that one of the main characters is Steph Gingrich, one of Chloe Price's co-students at Blackwell who made the move to Haven Springs after the events of the first game and its spin-off. She plays a big role in Alex's new life at the mining town, and is an optional love interest. In terms of visuals, the game has that very distinctive watercolor feature in its visuals like all Life is Strange games, and those visuals have definitely received an upgrade. The game looks beautiful. Although, it was a bummer to discover that the PS5 version does not run at 60 frames per second. You adjust quickly to the 30 fps from the days of yore, but I still would've liked to see this game run smoother on the new hardware. It is somewhat of a short experience as well. You can finish the entire game in about ten to twelve hours, like one weekend if you commit. At least: it felt pretty short. Maybe I just had so much fun with it that time flew by and before I knew it: I had reached the end credits. For the price it has, and taking into consideration that previous Life is Strange games were equally as long and less expensive, I find the price tag of €/$ 59.99 a bit much. Whenever that price drops down to at least €/$ 39.99, you should definitely pick this up, because it is one of the best Life is Strange games so far. PS: Alex Chen is one of the most likeable protagonists the franchise has seen so far. Hope she'll be back for round two in a sequel! Most frustrating trophy - ... NONE! All you're doing is collecting memories throughout five chapters, and completing the odd miniquest here and there as you go through the entire story. I don't even need to elaborate on this. Easy.

That is all I can say. I played this game without a guide and after my 6th playthrough I still hadn't popped a couple of trophies. So, had to follow a guide and play this awful game through 6 more times. I honestly hate Erica, her family, everyone we had to meet (repeatedly) and I really didn't care if the entire hospital burned down with everyone in it. I'm DONE. My fault for not playing with a guide. I know that now.
Popular Post Viscera1900
#318 - Cyberpunk 2077 Never Fade Away "Unlock all Trophies. Enjoyment: 9.5/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Completion time: 87 hours (ingame) / 2 weeks, 6 days (PSNP) It's been 9 months since Cyberpunk 2077 was released and it was a hot topic on gaming community about its poor performance on consoles. The PS4 version was so bad that they even removed it from PS Store until it was re-released on June 2021 after so many fixes and patches. I can't comment how bad it is to play Cyberpunk 2077 on original PS4, since I played it on PS5 console. One advantage of playing this on new gen consoles is definitely the faster loading times and option to play the game on 60 FPS. I've been itching to play games that are very similar to Fallout 3,4, Fallout: New Vegas, Elder's Scrolls V: Skyrim and Deus Ex: Human Revolution & Mankind Divided. Cyberpunk 2077 satisfied my needs of wanting to play similar games to those and it was a positive surprise for me, since I've heard so many negative things about this game. Sure like everyone else; my expectations for this game were very high before its release, but 8-9 months after its release the hype for this game has died down. Even after so many fixes & patches; I didn't know what to expect from game. I think Cyberpunk 2077 is very enjoyable game for me even though there were few game crashes from time to time, but in the end there weren't so many of them. The soundtrack for this game is some of the best in recent memory; there were many catchy ones from game's radio stations. I'd definitely revisit this game at some point (maybe after few years) by playing the true PS5 version. Trophy wise it wasn't a difficulty game to complete, just time consuming, especially if you don't watch out for those potential missable trophies.
Popular Post AsheRebel
Platinum #138 - AO Tennis 2 Was in the mood for a tennis game so I started it after I saw it on Playstation Now! It's a decent game with no big names except the cover stars. It was disappointing as my favourite players like Federer and Djokovic weren't there. No trophy was hard and even the luck based ones are doable with right methods however the career trophies were a boring grind as it got repetitive real quick. If you are into tennis games and like to platinum them then sure go ahead however I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking to play for fun due to the lack of big name players and average game environment.

I have the platinum for the PS4 version and I think the memories of doing that trophy last time made me procrastinate on this one. I do like playing Puyo but playing that one mode for hours and hours as the most efficient way was a grind I wasn't looking forward to. It's really not even that big of a grind compared to a lot of grinds I've done, but I just couldn't get myself to do it for the longest time! I still whole-heartedly recommend this title though!

On ps4 it was extremely easy, like it was a walk in the park, I even got the platinum on ps4 in 10 and a half hours and on ps3 I have no idea of playing time I managed to make challenge 36 completing the game without dying and without saving the first try on ps4 At min 23:24 (video comment marking) I got a close call from a totally lucky/bad lucky event But on ps3 only on the last level I died twice because the fps dropped to zero and I was teleported to death ? and look, I already knew all the parts that the game resets the fps I was pretty pissed off Edited September 13, 2021 by AmazingNoeder

Popular Post Viper
#247 Biomutant Platinum Trophy This is a game that reminds me a lot of Mad Max. Not in looks or anything...but the way the game feels. There'a a lot of time put into this were I kept saying "that's a cool idea, but it'd be better if they did this...", I did that a lot in Mad Max as well. It's an ambitious game that has a lot of cool ideas that don't quite land a bullseye like they should. Yet....I had a hard time putting the controller down. The game is a lot of fun, and you want to keep seeing what wacky thing is going to happen next...yet you can tell it doesn't feel like the game changer they were aspiring to be. The story is a little childish, it's a post apocalyptic world, humanity left behind biowaste that transformed these critters into sentient beings. But they make up their own language and call a lot of old world items things a 6 year old would have come up with. There's a light and a dark side choices to make...but it's very cut and dry that it's one side or the other and there's absolutely no inbetween. Gameplay wise I put WAYYYYYYYYYYY too much time into this game. With people talking about Platting this around the 20 hours mark...according to my PS5 I was at 77 hours. I realized far too later that I didn't have to complete all those side missions...and there's A LOT...I mean a lot a lot! You get so many early on that it seems overwhelming which made realizing that I they were barely needed that much more of a WTF moment. Hell I got the Plat before even finishing the last story mission. I think a lot of this game was me expecting it to be more complex than it was...thinking I needed to play it a certain way and you don't...at all, I could have had this Plat days ago if I paid more attention. I played on easy and it was just that...the combat is cool looking but repetitive after awhile. Once you learn the crafting system and start building yourself some beastly weapons, it's not really a challenge. Plus you pick up hundred upon hundreds of healing items constantly through the game...I mostly only died due to drowning. Overall an unusually fun game with big ideas that didn't quite stick the landing. I don't see a lot of people loving this one.

Popular Post rjkclarke
Platinum #328 Beholder 2 (PS4) Just do it! Get every trophy Beholder 2 takes many of the concepts established within the original game – and basically, to borrow a saying from Spinal Tap, turns them up to eleven. However, before we really get into this review, I really feel like I ought to make it clear that if you see a video review of this game on YouTube – if for example, you ever get interested in the game and look up a review and that review happens to be just shy of four minutes. Please ignore that video like the plague, it’s one of the most biased, unobjective things that I’ve ever seen. It boils down to the person saying “It’s not the same as the first game, so I don’t like it.” That’s about the only part that remains true from that video review – that it isn’t the same as the first game. To be honest, that’s perfectly fine, Beholder 2 is essentially a natural evolution of what the first title was – so in that regard it’s a very strong progression. I don’t think I’m going to dedicate quite so much time to trying to actually explain what the Beholder games are – quite honestly, it’s very difficult to define them, but that’s a good thing. That’s part of where their inherent charm comes from, that you get invested in what’s going on very quickly, yet I spent much of the time in both games thinking what am I actually playing? You end up ultimately just being very grateful to be along for the ride, as the very cleverly written and often times very surreal narrative unfolds. Beholder 2 makes a huge technical leap from its predecessor, which essentially changes the nature of the gameplay entirely. Instead of movement being essentially boiled down to, up, down, left and right along a primarily 2.5D space - you now inhabit an almost fully 3D environment – or at the very least the illusion of one. You are essentially walking on an invisible line that you can’t really deviate from unless the game allows you to. That’s fine though; the nature of the game pretty much means you won’t have to do much else apart from that anyway. What’s fundamentally different compared to the first game? Time is more of a currency in this game than a gameplay feature - everything you do costs time. Instead of there being a constant threat of a timer. This does take a little bit of the intensity away that the first game had. For the most part though it’s the removal of many of the features the original game had, instead of watching people through cameras and sneaking into apartments. This time around you infiltrate the evil and oppressive ministry itself. As a result of this, the gameplay takes a few different twists and turns. Whilst you were doing a job in the original Beholder, this game takes the job aspect to a much grander scale. A basic description of the game would be to say you play as Evan Redgrave, you start on floor one and have to work your way to the very top of the ministry, doing various jobs along the way in pursuit of solving a family mystery. It’s actually one of the features that would probably – on the surface at least, be one of the easiest ones to criticize. Yet I believe it’s one of the games strengths. It’s very rare in video games for jobs to actually feel like jobs – they have to be a little more engaging just to keep the player invested. In Beholder 2, your jobs absolutely feel like jobs, particularly the ones that can be so monotonous you basically go into auto-pilot, much like they can in real life. The thing that works in their favour though, is that I found their monotonous nature made me want to explore all the avenues that weren’t doing the assigned work, much more, and probably appreciated it a little more as a result. A part of me thinks they were deliberately designed with that in mind. The way the jobs work - play really well into the oppressive and controlling atmosphere that this video game world inhabits. It can’t be ignored that they are probably a little bit over simplistic. Each job you are assigned probably could have slightly more depth to them, if I’m being completely honest. After a while I found I was getting to the point where I would just push through each one as fast as possible. Particularly the last one where you are assigning traits to a clone – it’s an incredibly novel and interesting idea, but for a trophy you’re required to do it one hundred times, so it does wear a bit thin by that point. The developers used their limited resources to the maximum here though – and this is particularly relevant when talking about gameplay. In much the same way that the original NieR included a section that basically equated to a text adventure. That same gameplay can be found here. It’s a really interesting way of injecting yet another unique element into its gameplay. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it works too; you end up revisiting a familiar area and meeting a few characters from the original game as a result of this side of the game too. The very unique visual style returns in Beholder 2 – with perhaps a little less flavour than before. Whilst playing both games I couldn’t help but find certain characters incredibly unsettling, I think it was something about having eyes, but no mouth, yet still speaking. Unfortunately the character designs in Beholder 2 are a little less memorable this time around. The slight lack of distinct character designs is only a small criticism though, and I believe comes as a result of the larger scope of the game – and was essentially a necessary sacrifice in the pursuit of telling a much grander tale. What was ever so slightly lacking in the character designs though, was absolutely made up for in the animation – I’ll not spoil anything as some of them are worth seeing for yourself, but when you see the way some of the characters meet their ultimate fates are incredibly inventive. I’m underselling it a little bit, because I think it’s something people should absolutely experience for themselves – there is an inherent darkness to Beholder 2 (aside from the obvious monochromatic palette), that only really shows itself in a few places, but some of it is incredibly shocking – some of it is also masked by some of the funniest humour I’ve ever encountered in a video game. Anyone who doesn’t laugh at least once during Ferguson's party just doesn’t have a sense of humour. Beholder 2, much like its predecessor doesn’t contain any noteworthy voiced dialogue outside of the narrator. That’s not a problem as a it does a fantastic job of telling its story without it. All of the characters talk in a non- descript way like Bill and Ben (the flower pot men), or some of the voices found in Banjo Kazooie. Much like the original Beholder the soundtrack is fairly limited, yet still perfectly serviceable – it’s never going to be an element of the game that blows you away, but nor does it really need to be. What there is - is very good – it’s just a bit limited. It has immaculate sound design though; some of the crisp sound effects and ambient noise, particularly in the shredder floor of the ministry add an inordinate amount of atmosphere, which would very much be missing without its inclusion. If you end up attempting the platinum in Beholder 2. I’d go in with a guide, much like I suggested with the first Beholder. There are plenty out there that don’t contain spoilers, so you’d be perfectly fine on that front. Beholder 2’s trophies really go a long way in exposing how much care and attention went into actually crafting the story. It’s so impressive how well everything melds together when you look back and think about it. In the pursuit of the platinum trophy you’ll see almost every possible outcome of Evan Redgraves’ story. It’s always something I personally appreciate in a game. It’s also possible to achieve the platinum in one playthrough in this title too, with a little bit of save manipulation. The trophies in this game – do see you do some incredibly grubby, and horribly manipulative things too. If it had some of the more photo-realistic graphics of a game like This War of Mine some of what you do would be truly horrific. The Beholder series is criminally underplayed and underrated and I’d implore anyone that is interested in slightly esoteric and off kilter – or even experimental video games to give both of them a shot, they are absolutely worth your time. In a way this game almost has a little bit of everything. It’s a video game experience like almost no other. Not every single element of them is perfect, but the unique nature of them, will stay with you for a long while after you’ve played them – they did for me at least. I hope at some point in the future we can see a Beholder 3, just to see what direction or genre that game would fall into. Omelette Paradise
#508 - Friday The 13th: Killer Puzzle Picked this up quite recently for the bargain price of £1.57 which was extremely good value for money considering how much I enjoyed it. The puzzles were decent and some were pretty challenging towards the end. The puzzles are themed into different settings and time periods which kept things interesting. I was particularly a fan of the space setting and the Jason X costume (an underrated gem of a movie). The trickiest trophy in the game was for getting a kill count of 30 in Murder Marathon. This one alone took me about an hour to do. Best advice I can give for that trophy is to watch the bar at the bottom of the screen rather than the slider and tap when you see the slider move over it. That helped a lot. Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 4/10

Popular Post slender_adrian
- Kingdom Hearts - #76 Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Rarity: 6.22% Very Rare Time: 99 Hours Gawrsh... Heartless What a journey! I remember the first time I played this game on the old PS2 days and the moment I saw the first heartless young me thought they were really spooky plus the beginnig room was also so strange, in other other words I had that feeling of not knowing what I was playing and why haha, well a lot of years passed and I got the chance to revisit this game, I have to say that there are many things I dislike about this game, don't get me wrong I absolutely belive this is an amazing game, for example I hate the lock - on system, yeah it gets the job done but when you are in a room full of enemies it becomes a nightmare trying to lock that specific enemy, it just becomes annoying sometimes, the soundtrack really annoys me, the first time listening it is ok, but after playing the game over 90 hours really makes sick, yeah there where good tracks, and I really didn't like the level design, some worlds feels like a puzzle the first time you go through them, oh almost forgot to say, the enemies here are probably the most annoying enemies I've seen in a videogame haha. Besides that I loved playing this game, the story is amazing, (I don't like Disney whatsoever) I think Sora is and amazing character along with Riku and Kairi, my favorite worlds where Halloween Town and Hollow Bastion, the boss fights are awesome, to make this short this is a cool game, don't mind my complaints haha. This was an epic crossover! Spoiler My favorite bosses where Oogie Boogie, Riku and Mysterious Man, even if they are cheap while fighting them, I don't know if Leon and Cloud can be considered bosses but fighting them was cool. I have to say the moment Micky Mouse appears right at the end out of nowhere is one of the best moments I ever saw in a videogame, no kidding haha. The ending was amazing, that moment where Sora and Kairi are separated with Simple And Clean on the background was so sad Now, getting the platinum for this game, it was so boring, I don't mind doing grindy stuff, but honestly getting this platinum felt doing to much on such little space, like getting all items done, ( Synthesis Master) for me that was the most tedious and boring trophy, I'll say it took me about 10 hours to get all the materials I needed, but that's not as difficult as Gummi Ship Collector, literally this was the hardest trophy for me to get, I had trouble with 3 missions, I kept trying for hours until I got them. Besides those trophies, the Unchanging Armor run is the probably the hardest one, I didn't struggle on Proud Mode as I imagine I would. The rest of the trophies are as usual, getting "collectibles" ( Record Keeper), which isn't that complicated, some story trophies here and there, for dealing with some optional bosses, and for misc stuff, basically getting the game 100%. In my opinion, this is a boring plat, if you have time and patience go for it if not don't bother with this. And that's my first Kingdom Hearts plat!?

Popular Post kRiZz_93
# 143 - LEGO: The Hobbit (PS4) Difficulty - 1 / 10 Enjoyment - 7 / 10 (After finally 100%'ing LEGO: Lord of the Rings, I thought it was about time that I return to The Hobbit. Firstly i'm a big fan of J.R.R.Tolkien work and thoroughly enjoyed all the books / films, so blending that with the LEGO game franchise seems like a cool idea. This game however suffers from issues, compared to the LotR's game. The biggest problem is that 'The Battle of the Five Armies' is entirely missing, which was insane as they put 'The Pelennor Fields' in LEGO LotR's. After you attempt to overlook this blunder, the rest of the game was decent with the exception of waaay too many miscellaneous tasks to do. Overall would I recommend it? If you enjoy LEGO games maybe, though if your looking for a good Tolkien game then I would definitely pass on this and just play the Lord of the Rings game, as it's a lot more enjoyable from start to finish.) Time Taken - Who knows at this point, it took almost 7 years after starting to actually completed it! ? Too many games to play and too little time to actually play them all ? # 144 - Spy Hunter (Vita) Difficulty - 2.5 / 10 Enjoyment - 7.5 / 10 (Finally got around to finishing another PS Vita game! When I first saw this game, it instantly reminded me of 007 styled vehicles and I had to take a look into it as we all want to be Bond...James Bond ? Basically, you start the game being introduced as a 'Spy Hunter' and you are tasked with completed a variety of missions to stop an unknown antagonist from achieving their objective. In total there is roughly 23 missions, each are different from intercepting / survival / seek and destroy etc. Now as this is a quote on quote bond style, it wound't be complete without a transforming vehicle would it? When you drive off road the car becoming an off-road 4x4, want to go in the water...sure! The car turns into a speed boat, ain't no stopping you now! ? Overall the game was better than I thought, the steering does feel a little odd as if your tires are made of ice cubes Other than that, apart from a few missions that require too many retries as they quite annoying to get Spy Hunter Pro Status for, then I would definitely recommend you try if you find it cheap enough as it isn't long.)
