Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #287: Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Difficulty: 2.5/10 Excitement Rating: 7/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 15+ Hours Hardest Trophy: Plus Plus ( Complete the game on New Game+ ) Finished the PS4 version of the game. Have no intention of getting the PS5 version if I ever get a PS5 at this point. Easier said than done. Anyway.... I made a lengthy status update review on this game so I'm not going to ramble on about it. Good characters, overly predictable story, and a gorgeous New York City make Miles Morales. I rented this one from GameFly, which saved me a lot of money as opposed to buying it off the PS Store or purchasing thru Amazon. I suppose I could of saved money if I were to play this on PS Now, but I'm not subscribed to the service. Transversal around New York City is the single best aspect of this game. Moving around the city is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, just about all the content is rather dry and uninspired. I definitely felt the original Marvel's Spider-Man was a lot better, as I felt I was able to relate to Peter Parker a lot more. Peter this time around just plays a side role, and is absent for most of the game due to the story. Miles Morales is your typical teenager, who discovered he has the powers to become a super hero. Too much was cliche, too much felt like everything I've already seen before. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is too Hollywood. I predicted the story in this game before I even saw. Once loyal friend turned enemy. An uncle with a troubled past trying to speak advice and offer help to his nephew. A lovable, caring, hardworking mother who is unaware of anything but her own political campaign. The computer genius and tech wizard with extensive knowledge of hacking, working entirely behind the scenes. This has all been done before in the past, and I daresay Hollywood actually did it better. Aside from the Disney/Pixar, Marvel appeal Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales tried so hard to emulate, this is not a bad game at all. Overall, it comes off as a bit 'meh'. I would put this slightly above inFamous First Light, but well below Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Sony can put secondary characters like Chloe Frazer, Abigail and Miles Morales into their own spotlight, but if the story and set pieces aren't that good, I'm not going to think too highly of the games. Definitely worth playing, but wait for a sale or just rent the game. Edited October 1, 2021 by AJ_Radio

And nah, it can all be done offline. It prompts you to connect to EA's servers when you access the time trials/speedruns, but it's not required. The one time I tried it didn't even work anyway, so they're probably down. It's Mirror's Edge: Catalyst that has some online trophies I believe.

Popular Post Sylvanticore
#52: Trigger Witch Unlocked all other Relics! Rarity: 49.31% Uncommon Time to Platinum: 4 days, 1 hour, 39 minutes After watching the release trailer for the game I knew I had to get this, it looked really fun and I do love pixel art games, what I wasn't expecting was just how great this game turned out to be. The game itself plays like a Legend of Zelda game but with twin stick shooter mechanics with a ton of guns that you can upgrade along the way, the trophy list itself is really easy to complete and only took me 4 days to do since I kept taking long breaks for sleep and such. Currently at the time of writing this it is on sale with 30% off (EU anyway, not sure about ROW) but if you can spare the money and want a nice fun time, then go ahead and grab it.
Popular Post Viper
#248 Watch Dogs: Legion (PS5) Completionist Man oh man...the game Ubisoft wants so badly to be their next Assassin's Creed and they just can't get it quite right. I'm someone who really enjoyed the first game (and I played it on PS3 with all its glorious screen tearing!), I liked Aiden as a character, I liked the idea of what we could do, it was a new spin for open world games, and while not perfect I was excited to see them improve on their structure. Watch Dogs 2 gave us those gameplay improvements, with a nicer setting, better driving mechanics...but it stopped there. The story was mediocre, Marcus and his hipster mentality were hard to relate to, and even with the improvements it came down to the idea that we had freedom of choice for how we approach things...but you end up realizing this is kind of detriment to the game. You no longer have to hack your way out of anything...you can go full guns blazing if you want, which contradicts the narrative of DedSec not being killers. So Ubisoft tries to lean on that even more here with Legion. From a technical standpoint...LITERALLY being able to play as any NPC and there actually being thousands of them EVERYWHERE, with their own voice, stats and abilities...is impressive, you HAVE to give them props for what they pulled off here. Even if the voice acting is shody, even robotic at times, you can tell they used voice actors and some kind of program that created a voice for the characters. While there are some that are pretty great (usually the ones the game gives you), most of them lack personality and you learn over time that while you can recruit whoever you want....most NPC's are worthless based on what you have. You go into it thinking the fun is going to be running into an unexpectedly great NPC, and that can happen, but the game gives you all you need. Gameplay wise, it's a lot like WD2. Except everything is drawn out in such a way that you have to go around your ass to get to your elbow. You can't just access cameras, and hack this panel....you have to hack several cameras to find what you need, only to realize that the cameras can't hack anything for you because they're always slightly out of range, so you bring in the Spiderbot (the single most useful gadget in the game), then you have to go through the whole area hoping you don't get caught (otherwise you have to wait 2 minutes to it all again when enemies destroy your bot), then when you make it to the hackable panel, you have to do one of those puzzle hacks where you turn certain sections to line everything up....all to realize, you needed to go hands on all along. It's not like this 100% of the time...but it's a good amount and by the end of the game you're just like "screw it" and you grab your favorite character and just shoot everyone because it takes less time. Now, I waited until the Season Pass went on sale to play this...so I had Legacy characters such as Aiden and Wrench to play as. Aiden is BY FAR the best character in this game, and you won't get him without the Bloodline DLC. He has a melee weapon, heavy machine guns that get damage boosts if you press during a reload, seems to be able to take the most damage (most NPC's die after a few hits, and there's a permadeath mode that keeps them dead if you turn this on), and has a blackout hack from the first game that no one else has, which allows you to take down several enemies at one time. Like having him just reassures me how much I wish this games were just his story rather than changing it up every game. Trophy wise it's an easy game. But the collectible trophies completely go against the point of the game. The point is to play as whoever you want, but in order to get the trophies you need to do them all in one sitting with one character. I wasted hours of my life not knowing this. So keep it in mind if you're going to play this. Overall, it's a lot of fun at first. But...it just misses the mark. I feel like they focused so much of their efforts into playing as any NPC, and again it's incredible what they pulled off when you break it down, but nothing else really hits home. It's just kind of boring at the end of it all. Ambitious idea that just falls flat.
Popular Post Phlegeth
#54 Alien: Isolation Unlocked every Alien: Isolation trophy Those stages after they introduce the facehuggers are way too stressful when doing the One Shot trophy. I said it earlier, if I heard the screech and didn't see anything I automatically reset. And that last one after you fall off the elevator is just mean. I just barely noticed it crawling out of the egg. And then after surviving all of that, I walked into fire and died. I was panic mashing the start button. And Mercy or Prudence is funny. Like, if I throw a noisemaker at person and the alien comes and kills them. No matter how you look at it, I killed that man.
Popular Post Redgrave
#221: The Whole World Went Away - Dead Island: Definitive Edition I had heard a lot about this game over the years and it sounded to me like it was something like Left 4 Dead and while it's not quite like that I still think it was a pretty good game. Having the different characters with different roles was something different although the game seems suited best for Sam B since he can do pretty much everything the other characters can do save for their specific abilities that they can get from leveling up. Not to mention that there's a trophy only he can do. But yeah, despite some jank like with the driving mechanics it's a pretty good zombie game with co-op elements to it even if it's something of a far cry from other games like Left 4 Dead or Dying Light. I can also see why people have been wanting the sequel for so long and now I'm one of them but since I only recently played the game I hope it's a case of me not having to wait as long for it to come out ? And thanks to @Sora9427 and their friend for helping with most of the co-op trophies as well as @Undead Wolf for playing with me ? As well as a shoutout to the random people that joined and stayed long enough to help get the number up for the People Person trophy and didn't treat it like GTA Online by blowing us up repeatedly ?

Popular Post Biertje373
Platinum #41 Life Is Strange: True Colors Haven MavenCollect all Trophies in Life is Strange: True Colors™ Fun: 9/10 Dificulty: 1/10 I've played every Life Is Strange game and some I like more then others, Alex' story is very much up there, the gift that she has is really cool, the villain is interesting and the setting is great! I love how they've expanded the universe and the story and I can't wait for more. The positives: Alex, she's my favourite main character. The music is fantastic. Something I did not notice that I was missing in LIS 2 was a good villain, this game (just like LIS 1) had one fantastic villain. Some of the choices were tough as hell. The town was really nice. That LARP section in episode 3 is my favourite part in the series. A lot of the collectibles could've been found in a few orders. Side quests. The DLC story was really nice. Some negatives: At the first episode there were some crazy lag spikes, but they may be patched out. While it does not bother me that much, the episodes felt a lot shorter. I don't know if or when there's going to another game in the series, but when it happens, I'll be there. I remembered how much I love the series, the characters and the world. I love these gifts that the main characters have, they make it very unique. And as always, here's my platinum screenshot, it's not a great one, but it's there: Edited October 1, 2021 by Biertje373

Popular Post NurseTatiana
#250 Milestone The Evil Within (PS3) Pure Evil Unlocked all the trophies! 4.50% Ultra Rare Enjoyment 10/10 Difficulty 8/10 Soundtracks 10/10 Time Estimated 50h Platinum time 1week and 1day Recommendation 10/10 Here is the deal guys and girls. I did platinum this game in all versions now over the years I played. It's total of 7 so that's pretty sick right? I will just tell one thing this is the best game ever for me!! The end now.....I will miss it very much and will always have a special place in my heart ? My review This game is a real survival horror for new players that didn't play it before. You really have to think how to pass certain sections and plan well. Even on easy I just don't think it will be a cakewalk. My first time I played it in 2015 I had so much trouble with a lot of chapters and having to reset because I run out of ammo. The enemies have guns! That's not a good news especially on the higher difficulties. Nurse Tatiana, Juli Kidman and Sebastian Castellanos are my favourite characters ♥️ The trophy list is not easy at all. You have to beat the game without spending any green gel and finishing Akumu mode! I think the rest are not bad at all anyone can pull them off without any issues. But the particular 2 trophies I mentioned are the hardest. The speed run is not hard the time is pretty generous under 5h. Akumu mode is brutal! Just to warn you be prepared. You take a hit from anything? You are dead. Not to mention the enemies are so fast. There is a lot a hidden bear traps that will kill you for any step you move. Chapter 6 is the hell on this earth! So hard and unforgiving. 11and 10 tho? Just take a seat that's even worse. So again your nerves will be tested to their limits in this mode if you decide to hop on this ride! Not spending any green gel is not bad just watch your resources. I think I have said enough for now good luck to anyone going for this game ? Next platinum? ...... Popular Post Dauersack
Digimon World: Next Order Digimon World Conqueror! I chose this plat as my 3000th trophy milestone, as this game is of historical importance to me when it comes to Playstation games. The second ever Digimon game I played, but a half remake half sequel mix of the first Digimon World game that released on PS1, which happened to be the very first game I have ever played back on Playstation 1, so it was directly responsible for getting me from Nintendo to Playstation. This game was fun to play at pretty much all times despite being pretty grindy, and it caused many nostalgia moments with features, certain Digimon, soundtracks being reused or remixed, characters reappearing and the events of the first game being referenced indirectly. On top of that it delivered plenty of improvements of the old game, increasing the number of Digimon you have to take care of from 1 to 2, making interactions more relevant, adding camping, giving the ability to grow special food instead of always having to scavenge for it, implementing material farm spots which you had to farm in order to get materials that would allow your city buildings to get upgraded, bonus dimensions for late game farming and fighting, adding a skill tree so leveling up the tamer level actually gives better abilities this time, putting in mini games for training or coins, adding a message/mail system so you'd have a quest menu to keep an overview of what you currently have going on, and plenty of welcome additions to the city that take care of problems you could run into during a playthrough of the old game, most noteworthy here is the addition of the Dojo that could lock in specific evolution paths so you would not have to rely on rng if your Digimon fulfilled the requirements of several potential evolutions during the lategame. The world has also grown significantly in size and number of Digimon, which has more than doubled, adding mega and above evolution as DNA evolution to the mix. The story was way more elaborate despite following the same core path as the first game, with more relevant characters appearing, the story being more linear and giving the enemies a proper personality this time around. The core of what was fun in the original was all still there, though they made it a bit too accessible and easy for my liking. The original was tough unless you already knew exactly what to do, getting any further than the first zone meant you had to strike a good balance between training to increase your Digimons stats and going around scavenging items and fighting. Training meant not making any direct progress in the game while also losing money you had to spend to keep your Digimon fed (as the rations you got for free would barely keep a rookie fed for half a day, and not do much for a big champion level) but it would prepare your Digimon to survive in the next tougher zone. Walking around gathering stuff or fighting to make progress however would gain you money, items and progress if you fought relevant Digimon but your Digimon would get older without making any real improvements stat wise so you'd hit a wall at some point. This balance has been crushed in this new game, training is for idiots here, I spent my first 2 Digimon generations mostly training because I refused to look at guides, slowly inching forward trying to find that balance, wondering why even normal enemies seemed to beyond my Digimons abilities, but then I realized that not only did fighting give ridiculously good stat bonuses compared to the original game, but time would freeze during the fights so you could do it almost as often as you wanted per day, earning you not only money and item rewards like discs and food but also several times as much stat improvement in the same time when compared to training in the gym, making the gym basically obsolete, which made the game a breeze to play through in terms of difficulty from that point on. Sadly they also took out card buying and trading, replacing it with a random drop rate, demoting cards to be a byproduct of material farming for city improvements. Other things like learning new techniques, which was a very grueling but rewarding process in the first game was so casual that not a single thought had to be wasted on it, towards the end of the game I had basically all techniques without ever aiming for it, which would have been impossible in the first game as you had to specifically hunt and grind for each and every technique. Managing money was also easy, as was increasing your Digimons lifespan, reaching digievolution requirements obviously was a walk in the park too with infinite stat gain from fighting, and it was basically impossible to make training mistakes that would have been punished severely in the original game. The only thing that was amped up was the grinding, though mostly it was for the platinum, with the 540 randomly dropping cards and the 200 different digimon raised being the worst grinding offenders for the platinum, but compared to some other grinds I have done for trophies this was not too bad. The biggest down for me was how they managed to make the combat system worse than it was 20 years ago by stripping away commands like getting away from an enemy or getting close to an enemy, leading to some absurd situations in the battles where one Digimon would just stay out of the fight while the other was getting pummeled by 2 enemies and there was nothing that could be done about it. They kept the ability to make your Digimon use certain attacks on command in exchange for points that would accumulate, with the one upside being that it would cost no MP to use these attacks, but with Digimon behavior being so random at times and them using the attack right away no matter where they are currently, it often happened that a melee only Digimon would keep its distance from a range only one for no good reason, and using the specific attack command would lead to the Digimon hitting the air due to being out of range for the attack, which is mind boggling to me that this clear error did make it into the final product, it should not be that hard to program the digimon to get into range first before using the attack you ordered, hell that was in the original game, so they more or less had to go out of their way to get this result. They also changed finishers up a bit, with lategame enemies basically spamming the crap out of finishers, which your Digimons can also do if you want, though with finishers being weaker than some normal techniques that is hardly worth doing in any case. I'd say this game is a good example of how games generally changed over the last 20 years. Everything looks prettier, has more features, a bigger scale, but it also lost some of its charm and it is way too easy, with there only being 1 obvious way to get through a game instead of having to figure things out and then having to make tough decisions on finding a good balance. When I got my first proper ultimate, highest level, in the first Digimon after over a dozen generations it felt insanely rewarding, but getting a mega here was so easy after I figured out that fighting gave more or less infinite stats that there was no feeling of accomplishment whatsoever. There was also no way to fall into a deep hole you had to get back out of after your Digimon died due to your bad decision making or being unprepared in combat leading to it dying and it got a subpar revival (they took Digimon deaths out aside from old age), no random assaults of strong story Digimon like the original Greymon ambushing you in the city either, and of course the double edged blade of being able to save at all times instead of just when your Digimon falls asleep. They kinda got rid of the unique Digimon behaviors too, which Digimon you had only made a difference in the techniques it could learn, nothing more. All in all I can say that this game was a great experience, though I would have preferred if it kept more of the tougher things from the original instead of making it as easy as it is (them replacing the notoriously tough and tricky Shadow Mansion of Myotismon with a single room the guy just casually stands in was possibly the worst offender in that regard). Admittedly I am more forgiving than usual due to the nostalgia train still hitting me hard in this game, but even without that I'd say it is a solid, if a bit too grindy and repetetive, easy game that is definitely worth playing for people who enjoy these kinds of games. Popular Post guy_flies
"Chernobylite Communion" Chernobylite I don't recommend playing this. The trailer made it look far more action and horror than it was. It was actually quite repetitive. But mostly because of the horrible bugs I had. A day of progress was lost when autosaves had (unbeknownst to me) stopped, manual saves couldn't be made (it crashed when I tried) and I couldn't load a game of any kind. I had to download my cloud saves but it was from the night before and forced me to replay about 8 missions (a third of the game). That was one of five crashes I had including the VERY FIRST time I started the game. if you're prepared to risk it than its a super easy platinum. 25 chapter trophies and a few basics such as recruit the five companions and unlock the two types of base building gear. No collectibles, no replay, no hard mode needed. I popped the plat when finishing the story. Finally got round to getting the platinum for this game, had always started it, played a few minutes and then went onto something else. The in-game map does deserve criticism, but overall I enjoyed it. I liked the aesthetic of the city, and the missions were in cool places, like the asylum and the House of Blossoms. One of the fun parts was going for the Finders Keepers trophy to see little buttons or switches that I had missed previously (shoutout again to PowerPyx for another great guide for that trophy in particular). And for anyone who was put off by the custom difficulty trophy, don't be, it was way easier than even the guide difficulty suggests. There is one frustrating bit at the end of chapter 7, but the rest is a cakewalk. This was a PS plus game way back, so for anyone wanting another PS3 platinum (it's been a while since my last), I recommend you give this one a go! Popular Post Deluziion90
#447 - Tales of Arise ArisenA testament to the knowledge gained from both worlds after many adventures and even more battles. Taken from status update: What.. an.. AMAZING..game!! Just wow! Where to start when talking about this game as there's so much story going on. I could tell pages about this game but that wouldn't justify how good it is. Talking about the simple stuff like graphics, sound, gameplay is probably a starter for this one. Graphics: I've never been a huge fan when it comes to JRPG's. I usually think the story is way to long, the environments suck and most of the time that's just a no go for me. However this game on PS5 is just an amazing experience. The way the zones look are just beautiful and the characters are not even anime like. There just really damn good. Gameplay: Combat is very fast paces. There's a lot of to talk about. You first start out with a simple few moves and the further you continue the game the crazier it gets. End game I wasn't even sure where to look anymore as my whole party was just blowing everything up with huge fire tornadoes, guns shooting like a minigun and my main character Alphen with a blazing firesword was just exploding everything around him. Just amazing, and the good thing about this all is that the game is taking it slowly to make you learn the moves and it's not just throwing tons of spells and skills at the same time at you. Sound: Not much to talk about this. The soundtracks are great, they don't annoy me and it flows very nice with the gameplay. Characters: There's always a guy or girl in my party with these kind of games that annoy the F* out of me but somehow I actually liked all of them. Especially the main characters Alphen and Shionne(seen in the screenshot). Story: It's really hard to talk about this and not spoil anything but from a non jrpg guy who loves this. I would say a must buy! Overall rating: 9/10 Fun: 10/10 Difficulty: 4.5/10 Overal time to platinum: ~55hrs
